It was decided, not by Marinette, that she would become a Pro-Hero and attend a Hero school of her choice to develop her powers. Marinette, who just wanted to be a fashion designer, decided to go to the Japanese school U.A. as a way to spite the Chinese order of guardians that decided to rip her from her dream, and also to see more of the world for artistic inspiration. During her first day in Japan, Marinette saw a ladybug that inspired her hero name, Ladybug; the fashion hero!

this was a concept that @ouiraculous and i were toying around with at like 3 am one day, where we'd have the toh and mlb characters swap universes,, also it's heavily shaped around the concept that huntlow and adrinette have many overlapping characteristics

in the boiling isles alya is the human that goes through the door and she meets marinette and nino, adrien is the golden guard grimwalker, gabriel is belos and wants to take revenge on the isles for the death of his wife who was "taken" by wild witches and i think felix was a concept of another grimwalker that escaped gabriel

and then the very half baked idea for the toh characters in ml

something something hunter is a sentimonster belos is hawkmoth and wants to wish for his brother back, willow is ladybug, luz, amity and gus are the other heros

the main spot we got stuck in was who would take the place of rebel mentor in the boiling isles cause fu wouldn't really fit there all that well but he seems like the only option, there's not many good adult characters in mlb lmao,,

in paris eda being the guardian is very funny to me (also lilith could be another guardian that's been trying to chase her down and get the miracle box back)

and then there's also the other way this au could go where they all have kwamis and powers based on their palisman that they actually have, so just designing new heroes, and eda gives them all these miraculous and luz is trying to earn hers from eda,, (we don't know what her palisman is yet so aaaaaa)
