I think we should just bring back Wungo Wednesday and start a fandom collective anime rewatch

#Because otherwise I can feel I won't last much longer #Because like. The last two hyperfixations of mine ended the moment I started feeling like there wasn't any new content #And two days ago in one day I started a new manga a new book and rewatching a favourite show #Whereas I hadn't started anything new in the two years ever since I got into bsd. Which makes it NOT a good sign #But the bsd anime has now ended for one month and 25 days and that's the last time the plot actually moved forward.#And if I counted right. The manga took 4 chapters (that is chapters 110-111) to adapt 6 minutes #That means it's going to take another 12 months (18 minutes left to adapt. that's 12 more chapters) to catch up with the anime #Yeah I'm not. sticking around this long with nothing new to see I'm sorry #Best case scenario I take a one year hiatus but that doesn't make it sound likely that I'll be back #And I know it's fresh news as early as this morning that author said they were introducing a new character but like.#They also said they finished writing this arc like. One year and half ago if I remember correctly?#And we still have yet to see the end of i t so...#That is to say. I'll probably be starting an anime rewatch starting next Wednesday. I've been meaning to do it for a while anyway #I don't want to leave the fandom I like the one chapter a month format #On the positive news I still have a queue of original posts that spans over ten months #And I was meaning to start the reblogs queue too in these days. ToT it feels #more like how i leafned my native language to simply read my foreign language the same #though i know it demotivates some people. in contrast i find keeping some harder stuff on hand #reminds me to challenge myself and not idle at the level im at.#so i say? assume u can do ANYTHING with success. and do it. and when it burns u out or is not fun anymore?#go do something easier u Know is Easy. hi, I don't use tumblr often, but i when i do, i always check your account to check if you posted something. LIAB is amazing. i truly have no words. i have read a LOT of fanfics from very different fandoms and i can confidently say that Leaving It All Behind is the best one i have ever read. the world you've built around the main characters is so deep, and realistic. even though benders are not real, it feels like i'm reading about true events. you describe the horrors of war and trauma so well. i'm actually very, very impressed. i happen to be a person that suffers from ptsd and other mental illnesses and and the way you portray traumatized characters is very realistic. i know you always say that the main characters' recovery is unrealistically fast, but don't worry about that. the way you describe zuko and sokka's feelings is perfect. their recovery doesn't seem rushed. it just looks like they're adapting and learning how to deal with it fast (we have to remember that the war is still very much happening and sadly they don't have a lot of time to deal with everything that happened to them). i'm so grateful i found your work. it's truly amazing, i hope you won't give up on writing when you finish the LIAB trilogy. have a good day/night

seriously this was so kind I’m still in shock. I’m so happy you think the healing arc is realistic because I try to balance the stories pace with the characters struggles and emotions (some of them make it DIFFICULT haha) but I’m always worried it doesn’t translate well.

#This is so validating you have no idea ahhhh #I have read so many fics where the chatacter (zuko lol) has gone through extreme trauma or torture and he gets rescued or escapes #& then it’s like after a quick patch up job he is essentially back to normal #Which… no. lol. chapter 15 of CAYA is finally finished. unfortunately i will not be posting anything until i finish chapter 17 <3

#mitten lady writing things #yeah all it took was an 8 AM in a hall with a nice study lounge and having no classes afterward #technically i have hw i need to be doing but i just sat here for like 3 hours and now intend to get subway #if we do bad at regionals then i’ll have a lot more time to write too #but i also will have less of a social life and so. i will need to find another hobby . until next semester #mawk twial is literally half my social life #anyway i just want to finish CAYA.#i at least want to get to the point where the chapters are just the ones detailing in game events #because those are substantially easier to write lol #it’s been really hard getting back into writing after months of being away from it #and tbh i’m struggling to maintain my motivation as intensely as i did this summer again #BUT i’m really excited to write the obligatory post 4-4 scene ;)#and then chapters 22 and 25 i’m very excited for

So, Chapter 2 consists of: chests, lots of chests. Bare arms, sleeveless shirts. No more stickers or CG to protect artists’ modesty. JK’s tattoos full out and proud (God, please hear my prayer: I hope the sleeves fall off of every one of Jungkook’s shirts). Normalizing naked Bangtan. I’m here for that.

But seriously...that’s not what this post is about.

I am late to the party but you have to admit, it’s been quite the whirlwind following June 13th’s Festa Dinner revelations. And I am sorry to be visiting a topic that’s maybe been talked to death. Sometimes my brain doesn’t let go of things in a timely manner. Sorry!

I think the release of the crushingly expensive collector’s edition of PROOF triggers me to relive that feeling I had immediately following the dinner.

After processing a few months now I have something to say about the song Yet To Come.

It took me a while to put the song in rotation on my playlists. I could not watch the song’s video very much after the premier. It took me a while to watch the music show performances they did immediately following Festa. I was that heartbroken... I could not make myself watch those music show performances for at least two or three weeks. They still make my heart drop because the expressions on their faces, knowing those were their last moments performing in front of Army for a long time [feels my heart stutter again]. I cannot fathom what the members felt knowing they were stepping away from performing in front of us.

Now I am ready to talk about this lyric: “back to square one”

I posted a few days ago about hoping BLACKPINK did well with their new comeback and I 100% meant it. I am not a fan of theirs and literally know nothing about their music and from what little I’ve heard and seen, it is not something I really connect with. I’ve seen the fan war crap on Twitter. It is what it is...it’s Twitter after all...and the farce of the VMAs last night was embarrassing.

But from what I understand, BlackPink was away for a long time and now they are putting out new music, so good for them and their fans. Their fans seem just as rancorous as Army when it comes to our loyalty. Their song skyrocketed on YouTube and was at the top of the iTunes chart until 2-year old Dynamite dethroned it.

My point is, Blackpink’s fans were waiting a long time for this come back.

Just like we are waiting for the day BTS will come back with new group music.

Another Korean artist whose fan base stuck around: PSY.

We really need to thank PSY because in my mind, as far as the western music market goes, HE is the one who paved the way. HE was the first Korean artist I heard played on mainstream radio with Gangnam Style. He brought Kpop to the world. That’s my opinion because that was MY first exposure to Kpop before I even know what Kpop was.

And then PSY was away for a while being a music industry exec and then he came back with That That with SUGA and that song is a smash and he seems to be very beloved in Korea and even across the world because that song did well and is still doing well.

My point in all this is, it made me start thinking about BTS and the lyrics of Yet To Come. I interpret the song as “we’ll be back at some point in the future, the past was really great but when we come back we know we will be more ourselves and starting from scratch.”

Now I get it.

Yes, as far as we know at the time of this post, the military obligation will be something they will complete in whatever way it ends up being whether one at a time or in groups or whatever, and supposedly beginning at the end of this year with Jin. They may be gone away for quite a while. We don’t know.

They are saying in those lyrics that they will have to start from scratch with their more grown selves, their more mature outlooks on life, their statements about whatever it is they want to tackle in their song lyrics. And the ever-present spectre of wondering if their fans will still be around. Back to square one.

I don’t think they understand that Army are still going to be here just like Blackpink’s and Psy’s fans were for them. There won’t be that much they’ll have build back up in that regard.

Armys, be prepared, we must be strong for however long it takes them to get back and embrace and support everything each individual member gives us/has given us in the meantime as solo work.

A bittersweet feeling lingered because I was expecting a tour or at least a few more concerts this year, but I am also so grateful for all the music, appearances and content we’ve received since.

Now that we know there will be a super-mega concert in October, the bittersweetness has mostly faded away. Run BTS Special Telepathy episodes also helped sweep that lingering feeling away as well.

If they are so inclined, maybe they will give us more information about what’s in store for their future. We may have another solo album dropped by October or at least know which one is coming next.

It’s just that the PROOF collector’s edition feels like the heavy vault door from the PROOF concept photos...the vault door closing with a deep and dense resonance. Makes my heart tremble a little however, knowing they had the freedom to take this direction means the world to me.

once i again i have found myself rereading the limbus prologue and i think i finally actually read what was going on (bc my reading comp is piss poor) that those guys were chasing dante after already attacking them, and succeeded to damage their head enough that they needed to perform a impromptu head transplant right there in the middle of the woods. dante had the fucking clock on them already (?) and then botched the transplant or just had to do it too fast bc they were being chased that their memories didnt Stick? or whatever the three letter word was, which could also be dantes star (?) due to whatever panther was saying? is it two separate three letter words or the same word? too much we dont know as viewers and now dante extra doesnt remember and no one wants to say anything else about it so one day maybe well learn more. le sign

my secret talent is. when i find a longfic that has smut but no tag about who tops. i can find the chapter that has smut in it just to check (assuming the smut isn't some integral plot thing or a catalyst to the story, bc that's too easy). as one does

#honestly it's just observation. easier if fics have actual chapter titles. those i usually nail on the first try #just numbers can end up taking a second try. higher number of chapters makes it harder but it's doable 🫡#if you want tips tho: if it's romance focused. it'll be near the expected climax #if it's got a plot going on regardless. just before the climax #if it's like 3 extremely long chapters for example. it'll be about 2/3 or 3/4 into the last one #if it's 25 for example. around 18 is usually a good bet #chapter names help bc they can give other hints. sex euphemisms or passion related words. a casual title right between a few intense ones #this isn't some 100% thing but if you're like me and like to check. then i hope this can help you 🫡#(sorry for taking smut so seriously and unironically. it will happen again. as it has before)
