Timeless Wells- Extra 2 (Flash)
Tumblr media
“(Y/N)!! Good morning?”
You can’t help but smile.
After that very interesting encounter, you’d become somewhat friends with the billionaire genius. At first the relationship was more to give him a piece of mind. But now, these meetings and talks have become a blessing on both sides.
Harrison was not at all what the magazines made him out to be. You’d always assumed men like him would be prideful and self-centered. But he was humble, focused, fair and considerate. He knew how you felt about his abilities. So he was always careful. Not to mention every time you meet up, he always seems to light up like an excited puppy.You took a seat across from him, picking up the coffee with thanks.
“Have you installed the system I suggested in your labs? With such a high tech facility you would think there would be more urgency on security.” Harrison chuckles as you take a sip of your coffee.
“I have. We want to avoid situations like Mr. Davies happening in the future. I appreciate the concern.”
“Mhmm. The same goes for your powers. I saw what you did last week.”
He stammers.
“I-I don’t know what you mean.”
You roll your eyes.
“There was a kitten stuck in the tree and you particles your way up there. I pay attention Harrison. You’re lucky no one else saw you.”
He rubs his neck.
“What was I supposed to do, it was a kitten.” He mumbles cutely.
It’s really adorable that he’s using his sentinel powers for something so cute, but you are worried.
“I just want you to be careful Harrison. “
Your tone catches his attention. He gives a warm smile.
“I appreciate it. I’ll be careful from now on. The next time it happens I’ll be sure to call the professionals. “ You know he’s teasing, so you just sip at your tea with a little grin. One that Harriosn mirrors.
At the start, you were the one who was so guarded, but now it feels like your day is incomplete if you don’t see the joyful scientist. The way he beams. His kindness. Intelligence and those abilities that he possessed that gave him the power to do just about anything he pleased. Yet here he was. Working in a laboratory to solve world problems. It was remarkable. Admirable. Maybe that’s why your feelings had taken such a drastic change.
The both of you have fallen into a little rhythm.
Sometimes he’ll stop by the precinct, other times you’d stop by his office. You figured the only reason no one was suspicious was due to the fact that you were the detective that worked on his case. As you enter Star Labs, the woman at the reception desk sends you a smile.
“Good day Detective Morgan. I’ll go grab you your visitors card, please excuse me.” You nod.
As you wait by the desk for the visitor's card, you can’t help but hear the chatter behind you.
“I can’t believe how close they are. I heard that he’s dating her.”
“That’s ridiculous. If Dr. Wells and Ms. Daniels were dating it would be all over the paper. They are like the ultimate power couple. “ You glance at the two women conversing.
“Here you go Ms. Morgan.” You turn back quickly, taking the card from the receptionist with a smile.
“Thank you.” Excusing yourself, you head for the elevator.
“Dating?”
Harrison hadn’t told you anything about seeing anyone. Then again, was that really any of your business. Your current relationship was a bit hard to define. When the doors ding, you exit. You move to enter his office. Usually that’s where he is, but you hear a familiar laugh ahead. Heading to the direction of the kitchen, your steps slow when you hear the female voice.
“You really are a miracle worker. Thank you Harrison.”
“Of course. Anything for my favorite scientist. “
The laughter continues, and you stay hidden, glimpsing the interaction. Those gossiping women were right. They do look like a strong power couple. Your fist tightens, and you turn around, heading back to your precinct.
~~~
It’s foolish to think he wouldn’t notice your strange behavior.
You attended your morning meetings as per usual, but you were quiet. Distance. He noticed. But he felt as if it were wrong for him to pry. If you didn’t want to discuss it, then bringing it up would only annoy you. It’s not like the both of you were dating. He didn’t have that title.
It didn’t stop him from having the wildest theories in his head. Two weeks of the strange behavior, and he couldn’t stand it. He had every intention to confront that night when you got off your shift. But it seems you beat him to the punch.
“We should talk. Can I meet at your place tonight?”
His response was immediate. For a moment he cheered, because it seems you were finally comfortable enough to address the matter.
Then those treacherous thoughts returned.
He was relieved, but also a bit frightened. This was all still new territory. He understood. That’s why the minute you stepped into his home, he offered every apology he could think of.
“I’m sorry!” You turned to him, sliding your coat off, a bit confused.
“I know that this scares you. That I scare you sometimes. But if you want space then I’ll give it to you.”
“Harrison.”
It would be difficult, but he could compromise. Because truthfully you were the one in a tough situation.
“I understand, trust me I do.”
He just kept rambling.
“Harrison.”
Had he been in your situation, he probably would have ran for the hills. The fact that you stayed showed that on some level you trusted him. He would never risk that.
“This situation isn’t ideal but I’m will-”
“Harrison!!”
He finally stopped.
“My behavior lately has nothing to do with whatever you think you did.” He visibly deflates. You smile. He’s so childish sometimes.
“I have feelings for you Harrison.”
For a moment he just stares. Because he’s sure he misheard.
“Come again?”
“I..” you take a step closer. When you’re both just a breath away, he swallows.
“I have feelings for you Dr. Harrison Wells.”
His eyes reflect that adoration you’d seen from the first day he saw you. It’s then you realize how immature you were being. You take his hand softly on your own.
“That day when I came to the office I saw you with Ms. Daniels. She’s beautiful, smart and successful. Just like you. I heard some of your employees talking about how compatible you both were and when I saw you together it just felt real. You looked like a happy couple and it made me a bit jealous. I realized then that I was the one being unfair. I forced you into a friendship knowing how you felt. You just accepted it. You never pushed me for more or used it as leverage. It was sweet. But..when I saw you with her a part of me thought that you’d moved on and it hurt..”
“I’d never do that!” He says urgently. He subconsciously takes a step forward and you look up. When he catches how loud that statement came out, he clears his throat and tries to pull away. But you place your hands around his neck, pulling him close. His hands raise in surprise, and you giggle. He’s acting like a school boy.
“I’d like a chance to see what this is, where it goes. If that’s what you still want.” You can see the clear disbelief in his eyes. He’s still moving cautiously.
“Are..you sure that’s what you want?”
“I’m positive.” You clarify. Your eyes move to his lips. Harrison’s hands finally lowered. He still doesn’t completely make contact.
“Is it alright for me to touch you..kiss you?”
You nod, blissfully flushed.
He keeps checking, as if with one word this might all be gone. When you nod, it’s like the last of his restraint snaps. His hands find your waist and he pulls you in. His lips convey urgency when they finally meet your own. His body is so warm, taunt. You're presently surprised how well those suits hide muscles. He picks you, and you smile into the kiss. It seems there were still a few things you didn’t truly know about Harrison Wells.
After what feels like an eternity of desperate kisses, he pulls away. Your thumb traces his lower lip, and you remove his glasses. His breath is a bit labored. Those eyes glimmer.
“Would you..like to go on a date?”
This man is so helplessly adorable.
“Maybe later.” You whisper. Your fingers slip into his dark locs, and you pull him back in for a kiss.
So you think manhunt gangs would come together for movie marathon, Which movies do you think would be each gang's favorite?
I've tried hard to have to make this as accurate as possible, knowing their erratic personalities and such.
The Hoodz - Heat (1995)
Various movies encapsulate not only a bank robbery but how intense a shootout is such as Heat.
The Hoodz have had their fair share of bank robberies (even the ones with a badge) and have had times where they didn't know if they were going to make it. They take notes but share a good beer while at it, reminiscing on the ‘good old times.’
The Innocentz - Scarface (1983)
This movie has it all.
Drugs, gang wars, corruption, death, murder, and the disillusionment of The American Dream. Coming from immigrant parents or being immigrants themselves, The Innocentz (or some of them) found themselves in Tony Montana’s shoes. They want to hit it big and become the next drug lord like that one guy in Liberty City. Then again, they all love to reference ‘Say hello to my little friend’ whenever they watch the movie and laugh about it like the coked-up druggies they are.
The Smileys - The Adventures of Elmo in Grouchland (1999)
The image of them SCREAMING at the screen in complete despair over Elmo losing his blanket is something I can see them doing.
It's what I did when I was younger so I can see every member doing the same and cursing any other character who bothered Elmo in the slightest. They take their valuables very seriously, especially Barry who holds his ‘daughters’ close to his heart, threatening anyone who dares to even touch them.
The Wardogs - All Quiet On The Western Front (1930)
There's a scene where the main character Paul is asked by his Professor to tell young men about his heroism and patriotism when he served in the war. At first Paul is hesitant as he has so words to say before he finally tells them the truth. The real truth. There is death. There is murder. There is no mercy. That is all.
“It’s dirty and painful to die for your country.”
And everyone calls him a traitor, a coward, an embarrassment of a soldier who should be proud to serve his country.
It's an anti-war movie, sure, but it stays with The Wardogs constantly even when they remember walking back to their hometowns after serving their time overseas.
Cerberus - Se7en (1995)
Let's be honest, these guys have faced the worst of the worst in their line of work.
They may work with Starkweather but they work with all sorts of stupid rich assholes who cause even the worst of crimes to each other. All because of the dumbest feuds, the mishandling of expensive products, and the greed of collecting the greens. Se7en displays a world they've seen countless times whether it be in their ‘normal’ job or the job they take shooting down who is against their boss. They’ve seen detectives look too far into their work, serial killers who tore into men/women/children for their sick desires, innocent people in the wrong place and time, and watch as the life in their lives fades away.
So a serial killer who bases his killings on the seven deadly sins is not far from what Cerberus has faced by far.
CCPD - Maniac Cop (1988)
Sometimes these guys watch even the most ridiculous films centered around cops just for the hell of it.
Whether it be for fun, to live through a power fantasy, or even just to watch countless people (innocent or not) die in horrific ways, it's still a classic for the whole precinct to watch this movie or watch the series in general. Watching a dead cop go on a killing spree across New York City while simultaneously setting fear into the hearts of men and women alike just brings absolute joy to the gang as a whole.
It's a classic, classics never die.
SWAT - Falling Down (1993)
All it takes is one bad day.
I’m sure that rigorous training, having to support a family with blood money, having to work with a very disgusting man who runs a snuff film industry, and having to kill people whether they were innocent or not will demonstrate some problems.
You get frustrated.
Upset.
Angry.
You want to be able to have things go your way but you can't and everyone looks at you like you’re selfish for it. You want to have a normal life and have a normal family outing but you’re plagued with images of corpses being rigorously shot at a far or close distance, their insides painting the walls. You feel like you’re going to lose it by your wife asking for more money, your kids wanting a new toy, or even the traffic blocking your way to your ‘regular’ job. You're going to lose your mind and you’re one bad thing away from grabbing that gun and letting lose on everyone who ever put their doubt into you.
But give the SWAT some credit, at least they have each other to vent out their frustrations when the pressure becomes too much.
The Skinz - None
No one asked them. No one likes them. They weren't even invited. If they rode up they’d be met with a rain of bullets.
Bonus!!!
The Camheadz - 8mm (1999)
This movie is about a snuff film.
I mean, I feel like this gang in particular plays a huge part in Mr. Nasty’s snuff films not because their heads are cameras but because I feel like each one of them has a distinct style in general.
Like, one wants to go after women, another goes after men, another the homeless, and so on. They all have their tapes, each inserted into their camera heads to record their best moments and to either save for themselves or to sell for a few more bucks. But let's be honest, they keep the tapes for themselves, just for personal reasons.
So to have a film perfectly demonstrates their lifestyle, even if it doesn't get everything right, it does play well into how deprived human beings can be just to get what they want.
The Clownz - It (1990)
I mean, duh, what else would they watch?
They saw the miniseries and studied the book like it was the Bible just to increase their obsession like the white-painted fiends that they are. Speaking out lines from the alien creature clown itself to either scare children or grown men alike.
We all float down here, Cash.
The Jury - Punishment Park (1971)
Imagine a world during the Vietnam War when President Nixon decreed that those who were ‘anti-war’ would be detained and forced to either spend time in jail or spend three days out in the desert being hunted down by police so that they may reclaim their so-called ‘freedom.’
That is Punishment Park.
A pseudo-documentary film that was highly controversial for its political views but is now highly regarded for taking a stance against the government. It seems like the kind of movie for The Jury knowing how they seem to take the law into their hands, display their political views, and see the movie like the manhunts they frequently did.
The Lost - Dark Days (2000)
Numerous movies depict the harsh and despairing reality of homelessness for those who are homeless.
It's a cold reality that millions of people face from the most remote or even the most popular of places. Always forgotten, always left behind, and always left in the dark. The Lost can heavily relate to this scenario not only because of the various reasons why and how they became the way they are and how. It's a normal day and night for Carcer City, just as bland and bleak as it has always been.
They can only dream of becoming as rich as Starkweather is but they’ll accept what they’re given, they don't have a choice.
Personally headcanon that unlike other hunters The Jury is the only hunter faction that isn't apart of the snuff film ring and oppose anybody involved with the snuff film ring going as far as to openly attack gangs allied with Starkweather and Mr. Nasty and freeing any victims who were intended to be used on snuff films and protecting civilians
My idea is that The Jury is a group of Carcer City civilians turned vigilantes deciding to give up on the help of the corrupt CCPD and instead taking matters into their own hands
Needless to say The Jury are on Mr. Nasty's shitlist
CCPD vs Saints and Sinners
I just had the amusing thought of Saints and Sinners - when it was just starting out in like the 80s - getting ratted to the CCPD as the 'go to place' for crooks and villains.
And they send their best detective on the case to see if it's true and the bar owner finds out he's coming like 5 mins before and has to throw off the scent super quick.
And the detective turns back up at the precinct later and the Captain is like, "Well? What did you find?"
Detective pulls a photograph out of his pocket like, "Just a false rumour, Boss, see here?"
shows the Captain a picture of the building with the S's covered over and blatantly replaced with a P and Th scribbled on cardboard
Tumblr media
Detective: "Turns out it's just a hardware store called Paints and Thinners."
And the Captain turns to the office window and addresses all the bad guys of Central City grittily under his breath like, "You can't hide from the Law forever."
I found ccpd just as scary as other gangs, cause they're corrupted police forces paid by your kidnapper. Imagine after narrowly escape starkweather's clutch and wanders in carcer city, you found police officer and you call for help with relief, only for them to bring you back to starkweather (also they beat you up to a pulp or shoot your kneecap for good measures)
YEAH LITERALLY
Also I read “clutch” and as “crotch” then laughed-
Eobard Thawne - (Flash) AU Chapter 5
Tumblr media
For the next couple of weeks, you’re distant. You’d confided in Iris and asked if they could all just give you space to figure out what was happening. You couldn’t deal with any more surprises right now. You were barely keeping it together managing a college class. Luckily this version of you kept excellent notes.
“Just saying that sounds crazy.”
There is no other version of you. It’s obvious that your decision has created a new reality. So while they believe they were with someone this entire time, it’s just the end product of the universe filling a hole.
After a day of fumbling around in the class, you were finally relieved. Teaching was a lot harder than it looked. You’re packing up your items when you hear the door open.
“I’m sorry the class is over.” You advise.
“I’m aware.”
The familiar voice of Joe West has you lifting your head. He walks down the short flight of steps, and you swallow.
A part of you had been keeping a distance because these aren’t the people you know. You thought that if you stay away, then maybe you wouldn’t have to think about the pain you experience every time you remember that you may never see your friends again.
Joe is standing right in front of you now. You take a step back.
“I should have come to see you sooner. When Iris told me you needed time I lectured myself to stay away. I guess the paternal side won.” He gives a short laugh and you swallow. You aren’t sure what to say.
How to feel.
“I understand that everything is different. But regardless of the timeline, I’ll always be there for you. You’re my daughter (Y/N). I love you, we all do.”
Hearing those words sort of break you on the inside. You speed away in a flash of pink sparks. Joe looks around, running a hand over his head.
Your running only halts when you get to an abandoned warehouse.
You scream.
“DAMN IT!!!”
Why were you being punished like this?
What had you done to deserve this?
All you wanted was to help Barry and the others survive. You wanted to help. But being here was painful. The constant reminder that you were alone, even surrounded by different versions of the people that you love.
Even Joe West here was the same. It appears that he’d taken the mantle of raising you the same way your reality of him had.
Although you’d met Joe later in your life, he was there for you. So many times when you were struggling or needed inspiration. When a fight had gone wrong. Joe stepped in to be a voice of reason for everyone. He was an extraordinary man. In every reality it seems. You laugh through the tears of the irony of your situation. It’s ridiculous to get so emotional. At least in this reality all your friends weren’t your enemies.
Life could be worse.
You wipe your eyes, walking around in a circle to calm yourself down.
It was reckless running out like that.
Your head turns when you see the familiar streaks of red.
“(Y/N) are you alright!! Joe called and he said that you were..”
His words die down when he stops rambling. Taking in your state. He keeps his distance. Eobard pulls himself together. He finally gets a proper breath.
“Is everything okay?” His tone is much calmer.
“I’m okay. Seeing him so suddenly was just a lot to process. But I’m fine.” Eobard nods.
“I understand.”
He looks around.
“Do you..do you want to walk back with me?” His hesitancy isn’t what you expect. Every time you look at his face, you sort of prepare yourself for that devious smile. Those red eyes. But each time, all you can see is care and worry. It leaves your mind in disarray.
How was it possible for you to not see a killer when you looked at him?
It’s not easy.
“I’ll walk back with you.” Your tone is soft.
“Alright.” He turns a bit slowly, walking and you follow behind. You’re still a couple paces behind him. But he can hear your steps, so he’s relieved.
With all the change that you’ve encountered, a part of you is curious about your relationship.
“What were we to each other?” His body grows stiff, and his pace slows just a little.
“What do you mean?”
“Are we just friends?”
You want to know more. Because it may be the first step in figuring this out. In the event that you can’t get back, you’ll need to find a way to live here and not have a constant panic.
“Why do you think we were more than friends?”
“Because of the way you keep looking at me.”
He stops, and so do you. Eobard turns.
Maybe this is why you’ve been so unnerved. This man is wearing the face of the person you’ve hated for so long. Yet everytime he looks at you, there’s no hate. Just warmth.
“Would it make much of a difference? We were enemies as far as you remember. What good would it do if I told you more.”
“I’m not sure.” To be honest you’re just reaching. It’s possible that he doesn’t have that type of relationship.
“Just forget that I-”
He’s right in front of you, and you jolt. When his hand lays on your cheek, every part of you freezes.
“It would be stupid for me to hope for more when you can barely be within two feet of me without looking like I’ll strike you down.”
You gulp.
You’re scared, maybe terrified. Your heart is going far too quickly.
But you can’t truly differentiate why.
He’s proven that he means no harm. But your body is conditioned to fear that face.
His face.
“If I were in love with you would that make a difference?”
It sounds like a plea.
He knows it’s a bad idea. You look so startled, but he can’t help himself. He’s spent years pining after you. Hoping for more. Just recently he thought he’d made progress. The both of you grew closer. But now that all has fallen away and it hurts. So is it not justified that he should be just a bit selfish? He leans in, nothing but his racing heart in his ears.
His lips press gently to yours.
He expects you to push him away. Punch him. Slap him. Something. But for the first few seconds, you don’t move. He’s not even certain that you’re breathing.
Just as he decides to pull away and save face, your hands move down his shoulder. You lightly grip the lapels of his coat, and you reciprocate the kiss. He’s anything if not surprised. You lean into him, and his arms wrap around your waist.
“Is this real..?”
He’s not certain. But it feels that way.
Your lips part for the split of a second, and he can’t seem to stop himself. He deepens the kiss. Unsteady hands venture around his neck and into his hair.
“How does she know..”
That’s a weak spot, because when you tug lightly, he moans.
Eobard is the one to pull back. You’re both equally as winded.
There is still a bit of chaos in your eyes. But behind that he can see the silent plea.
“Please don’t break me..”
You don’t say those words, he can read it from the vulnerability in your eyes.
“I won’t hurt you.”
He says aloud. You say nothing, just hug him.
It’s possible that you’re still lost, terribly confused. But you’re putting your faith in his words, and it makes him feel happier than he ever thought he would feel.
He just holds you, because at that moment. You both need it.
What is/are your least favorite Manhunt scene(s)/level(s)?
Mine is "Wrong Side Of The Tracks". Unless you've kept the crowbar from "Press Covarage", there is no way you'd get a stealthy kill lmao
You read my mind because the ‘Wrong Side Of The Tracks’ is my least favorite Manhunt scene(s)/level(s).
But it's mainly because of how ridiculous it is to get through the level when there's like a cop or SWAT member at the next corner. Like, even watching a video about it, I get anxious just seeing Cash going into a new room where there could be there cops there with loaded pistols. And that just going through the tunnels when the darkness is up ahead is just a no-go for me, I'll just stay in the shadows forever lol.
Watching episode 1 of The Flash again, Eobard takes his glasses off when Barry first tells them about Nora (basking in how upset Barry is), then looks at Caitlin and Cisco when he says they don't know who was affected which I guess I forgot. Also still grumpy about routine use of antibiotics in cattle feed. I know it does actually happen (though UK agriculture laws are different) but it is how you get MRSA.
I feel like the number of elementary and high school districts cancelling classes due to absences is the Waffle House Index for COVID.
If only there was some better way to track the data. Like maybe an organization or some kind of center for controlling and preventing disease. A CCPD? No, that's not quite right.....
It'll come to me, I'm sure.
So what if the “No metas in Gotham” thing scared Danny Fenton away from Gotham City?
What if Danny gets a grant or scholarship at Central City University?
What if Danny gets an internship job as an assistant Forensic Scientist at the Central City Police Department?
Ok so hear me out:
The Rouges in Central City are much more chill and jokey than most superhero protected cities and have a good relationship with The Flash and would remind Danny of Amnity in that sense.
Danny’s entire obsession with protection and also a likely mentality of “Police and law enforcement have been horrible to me in the past so I will do everything I can to make sure what happens to me happens to no one else” would make him strive to be an honest protector of the people. He could be a cop and Barry Allen works with him because he knows that Danny isn’t corrupt. A reverse Batman and Jim Gordon if you will. He could also be a Forensic Scientist that recently joined CCPD and Barry Allen is assigned to be his mentor to show him the ropes. Either way The Flash grows to respect and care for this really strange kid who’s eyes sometimes look green as a trick of the light.
Danny using his powers to help solve murders, crimes, and ghostly shenanigans in Central City by talking to the local paranormal entities and recently deceased and pretending that he just is really really good at his job (well he is, but he has a bit of ghostly help.)
The Flash and Kid Flash notice this strange white haired meta zipping around and go to meet him and find out that he’s roughly Wally’s age. The speed force feels a bit strange around this kid, Like he’s been a part of multiple time altering changes. He doesn’t seem malicious though and the kid is really funny so Barry is going to let this ghostly meta do his own thing.
Phantom and The Flash start teaming up. Having an extra person in a battle is always nice. The Flash also notices that this Phantom kid is always DELIGHTED to fight Captain Cold. What The Flash expected to be a long battle that would end in almost frostbite and a long night with little to no sleep ended up being a five minute excursion. The Phantom reveling in the low temperatures and freezing Captain Cold’s cold gun and feet with a more crystalline and shinier type of ice. Instantly ending the battle.
Phantom fights Abra Kadabra and loudly complains to Abra while fighting how stupid Abra’s gimmick is and that it doesn’t look like real magic.
Phantom helps dismantle Weather Wizards plan to blot out the sun by simply turning the giant storm clouds that the Wizard summoned into snow.
The Flash is completely dumbfounded when the Reverse Flash shows up at his work, taunts Barry Allen, when Phantom comes out of nowhere, possesses The Reverse Flash, who then asks the location of the nearest containment facility that’ll house a speedster. Danny/Reverse Flash proceeds to run himself to the location, lock himself in, and exit Thawne’s body. The amount of awe Barry feels can’t even be put to words. Barry Allen’s arch nemesis. Defeated by a ghostly kid who has bi weekly hangouts with his nephew to binge watch D-list horror movies. What the fuck.
Danny has a great relationship with Barry. The two quickly bond over being quippy and aren’t annoyed when the other is consistently late to every possible meet up. Danny is incredibly dexterous and knows his way around the lab and Barry is happy to chat with someone who happily will talk back and ramble on about their life and has a genuine want to help others.
If Barry asks Batman on tips with how to take care of an overworked and constantly exhausted kid that’s between him and the Bat.
Barry mentally adopts this strange coworker and if he spotted the kid behind the CCPD building turning into Phantom? That’s none of his business and for Danny to reveal to him on his own time.
