Are you named after anyone? My middle name is my grandmother's middle name.

Do you have kids? Nope.

Do you use sarcasm a lot? Depends on who I'm talking to.

When was the last time you cried? A month or two ago, maybe.

What’s the first thing you notice about other people? Personality and voice. I think I have mild facial blindness, and those are the two things I tend to remember people by, rather than any specific physical features.

Eye colour? Grey blue

What sports do you/have you played? None currently, but I've played tennis (terribly) and done archery and horseback riding.

Any special talent? Not a talent really, but mosquitos don't bite me. :D

Where were you born? Hospital

Scary movies or happy endings? Happy endings. I prefer reading scary things to watching scary things.

Do you have any pets? I have a dog and he's everything to me.

How tall are you? 5'

What are your hobbies? Reading, writing, playing piano, drawing, gardening, hiking...more hobbies than I have time for, in other words.

Favorite subject in school? English

Dream job? My childhood dream was to be a librarian, but now I'd add the stipulation of "librarian who can spend her whole day reading and doesn't have to talk to anyone." That's the long way of saying my dream job would be to have no job. :D

I find it so painfully heartbreaking that Solomon just...laughs off all the derision, the name-calling, and possibly even did "evil" things on purpose because it's expected of him at this point. (He had not always been like this as Thirteen pointed out before). There was a time when he was "innocent". When his soul sparkled. When it resembled the kind of soul everyone in these god forsaken (pun intended with spite) three realms seemed to associate with the ever loved MC. He's just...worryingly carefree. And because he's like that, he feels even more of a tragic character to me.

Sometimes it even seems that he himself would seemingly make up excuses on why he's hated. Oh, it's because I'm a sorcerer this. I might have won a war against Devildom single-handedly this. I have forgotten. But maybe, I did something bad, that. Hon, you were doing that to SURVIVE. You don't have to be a faultless person to deserve compassion. You don't have to be MC to deserve to be loved.

#rant #the more i play and read about nb solomon the more it feels like he's a worst case scenario foil to MC #and it's ridiculous maybe to feel this way but seeing how everyone dotes on mc and just panders to them without question no matter #especially with meaner dialogues #make me dislike the mc to some extent #what good will raising up one character do in exchange of dehumanising another?#i couldn't put a finger on this feeling before #but i think that's also why im so burnt out with this game #the more everyone loves me as the mc the more it becomes so apparent how unfairly solomon was treated #and how everyone ESPECIALLY HIM just rolls with it #sweetie please be angry. please complain. please hate me in some way #but no he just keeps loving and supporting the mc #in game in fandom this man can't catch a break #wanna gatekeep him fr /s #this has just been brewing in my mind for a while. i don't really wanna hear discourse or arguments that's why i put it in the tags #I just need a place to vent my frustrations with this game #obey me #obey me nightbringer #obey me solomon #spoiler mention #he's imperfect and flawed as all humans are and he deserves to be loved irregardless

Katniss actually said that if not for the existence of the Games and Panem's shitty state in general, that she, at 17 years old, could possibly be married and pregnant. Full-on teen mothering it with her dandelion in the spring if Panem could chill out for a sec and stop killing children. And then she proceeded to fantasize about Peeta and his child safe in the meadow. This thought alone gave her one of three nights of restful sleep without drugs post-Games during the series (the other two being when she was in Peeta's arms).

And yet when the Games did end permanently and Katniss indeed went ahead and married/committed to Peeta and had a family with him at about 30 years old, some people still did a surprise Pikachu face and complained it was out of character.

Do any of your OCs hunt/fish/trap? Who taught them, and why do they do it? Do they have preferred gear or quarry?

#question brought to you by hunting coming up in all my classes simultaneously and bringing it back to mind #fishing is in here bc it ends up in these irl convos but I suppose it does feel like a gimme after gw2 added it #(and it's popularity as a minigame in many games as well)#but here I'll go first. my ex mordrem Merlin fur-traps in the shiverpeaks for income #he'll eat the meat of what he catches and splits w/ his nightmare hound (do u think fern/nm hounds can swallow bird bones? much 2 think abt #less wasteful and lessens what he has to pack when camping out in remote places for long periods of time #he was a deadshot with a bow as a young sprout but mordremoth got him early and uh. well that bow ended up integrating with his arm #which is why he's missing his right :) that's a story in and of itself though #but yeah so no bow-hunting or any marksmanship really #though he can throw an axe pretty well if needed #alright I have others but it's bedtime and this is a tag novella already #gw2 #<- will it even find its way into the tag? who can say LOL anyways gnite! or good morning!

Dr Who

At 21 I decided to spend Christmas Day by myself for the first time, which was a grand idea until The Muppets Christmas Carol made me cry at 9am and I thought "Fuck this shit", and switched the channel and found a marathon of Season 1 of Dr Who. If I'd known about tumblr or fandom any time between watching Christopher Eccleston's or David Tennant's reigns then this would have been a Dr Who blog through and through.

Star Trek The Next Generation

TOS and TNG are pretty neck and neck for my favourite Star Trek series's but it was a chapter on Data from a book about media depictions of androids and artificial intelligence that made me interested in Star Trek in the first place, so TNG wins out.

Macgyver

Thanks to my mum's old VHS tapes, this man has been my idol since I was about 5 years old and the reason I've owned a Swiss Army pocket knife since I was 9.

The Untamed

The Untamed is here not just because it's got so many great characters and storylines running through it, but primarily because it was the gateway show into CDrama for me and I am utterly grateful for that.

M*A*S*H*

When I was in art school and long before streaming was a thing, every winter when I was feeling in a slump I would borrow my sister's boxsets of M*A*S*H* to binge watch until I started feeling human again.
