Everyone is transitioning and everyone is on hormones.
And I don't mean that like you might say "man, everyone on tumblr is trans!" where you really mean "it seems there are a lot of trans people on tumblr".
Literally. Everyone is on hormones. Some people just get them for free from their bodies, and don't need pills or patches or creams or injections.
And everyone is transitioning: you're aging. Your body isn't frozen in time from the moment you finish puberty. It will change, it is changing.
And that's important perspective to keep, I think, because you own your body. It is yours. You get to decide if it transitions into one thing or another. One of those ways may be "natural" and easier, but it doesn't mean it's the only option.
Because it's too common to imagine this as nothing vs something. Like, you do nothing and your body doesn't change, or you do something (HRT) and it changes your body. And I think that framing is very wrong and contributes to reluctance, both internalized ("do I really want to change my body?") and external ("are you really sure you want to do this to your body?").
Because it's happening either way. Your body is changing. It will keep changing. You can adjust where it's going but you can't stop it, and it will happen even if you do nothing.
You're behind the steering wheel and the car is already in motion. You can decide to turn left or right, but whether you do or don't, the car is still going to go somewhere. That's not optional. And if you don't like where it's headed, you can adjust your course. But you're still going.
Transition is just a part of human life. You're going through it no matter what, and one option for transition being the easy one doesn't mean it's the best or only option, and it doesn't mean another option is fundamentally different or worse or strange.
If you're in your 20s, you are transitioning into your 30s. You can do that with one set of hormones or another. But you have to transition: that's just how your body does.
So don't look at it as taking the big step to Do Something vs Do Nothing. You've got options, and one of them has a free coupon. Decide which option you want, because you have to choose.

If you really hate Jiang Cheng I can see thinking those two things have nothing to do with his motives, but I think you still have to concede that
It's his job to dispel possessions regardless of how he feels about the spirit in question
Becoming a bodysnatching poltergeist is not actually a good thing for Wei Wuxian
Like, the reason Lan Wangji does not worry about it is a) Jiang Cheng makes it instantly clear it's not a problem and b) Lan Wangji has faith that Wei Wuxian would never do something like that. I would argue that Jiang Cheng used to have perfect faith that Wei Wuxian would never hurt Yanli and then he killed her husband and hit her with a zombie. Now Jiang Cheng lives in a world where Wei Wuxian sometimes does things he could never have imagined him capable of and he can't trust anything he thought he knew about him. The contrast between their perspectives is kind of an important part of the story.

“Tianzhen, I want to teach you how to cook.”
This isn’t the first time Pangzi has made this attempt. It’s not even the twentieth. Pangzi lost count some time after that. But he clings to the hope that somehow this time will be different. That somehow retirement has magically removed Wu Xie’s ability to burn food just by looking at it.
“Focus,” Xiaoge says softly but firmly from where he’s perched on the counter near the door. It’s where he likes to sit when he’s watching Pangzi cook anyway, and if he happens to be close enough that he can intervene if Wu Xie does something stupid then that’s just a bonus as far as Pangzi is concerned.
“I am focusing,” Wu Xie replies with a pout. “Ooh, can we make steamed buns? Or noodles? Or, oh, I saw these really nice looking dumplings in a Douyin video and—”
Pangzi pokes him gently in the shoulder to bring his attention back to the lesson at hand. “You’re trying to run before you can walk. Now, just take a breath and listen to your Pang-ye. If you listen and do well I’ll reward you at the end.”
This is what he has been reduced to. Bribing one of his lovers as though he were a small child. And the sad thing is it works. Wu Xie’s eyes light up at the sound of reward and he immediately gives Pangzi all of his attention.
“Good boy,” Pangzi says and he doesn’t miss the way something flashes in Wu Xie’s eyes at the praise. That’s something for the three of them to revisit later. In the bedroom.
“The first thing you need to do,” Pangzi says as he sets a few things down on the counter in front of Wu Xie, “is familiarise yourself with your tools.”
He can already feel himself regretting everything about this venture when he picks up one of the kitchen knives. It’s not his best knife. He wouldn’t even let Xiaoge touch his best knife so he’s certainly not going to let Wu Xie near it.
“This is the most important utensil in the entire kitchen,” Pangzi says as he hands it over to Wu Xie.
“I know how to use a knife, Pangzi,” Wu Xie points out and then touches the blade with the tip of his finger to see how sharp it is. Blood wells immediately and Wu Xie hisses a curse.

You know, when I see fictional characters who repress all their emotions, they're usually aloof and very blunt about keeping people at a distance, sometimes to an edgy degree—but what I don't see nearly enough are the emotionally repressed characters who are just…mellow.
Think about it. In real life, the person that's bottling up all their emotions is not the one that's brooding in the corner and snaps at you for trying to befriend them. More often than not, it's that friendly person in your circle who makes easy conversation with you, laughs with you, and listens and gives advice whenever you're upset. But you never see them upset, in fact they seem to have endless patience for you and everything around them—and so you call them their friend, you trust them. And only after months of telling them all your secrets do you realize…
…they've never actually told you anything about themselves.

Further support for headcanon & how hilariously epic Victor’s sulk is.
It’s true that Victor was undecided between Agape and Eros for his next season, but the moves that he was practicing, the one that Yurio recognized immediately as being from his unfinished short program…….that was Eros.
Victor was planning to do a program about him getting dumped by Katsuki Yuuri in front of the entire world and probably win all the gold medals with it.
A season that he originally expected Katsuki Yuuri to be competing in.
Also when he was skating this, he didn’t expect Yurio to be there. He was more or less expecting just him and Yuuri, since this going to be the first day he and Yuuri will get to skate together.
HE WAS TOTALLY EXPECTING YUURI TO WALK IN AND SEE HIM SKATING THEIR STORY OF THE LOVE GAME.
Also, this face.
THIS FACE MEANS SO MANY THINGS NOW, MAN.
