hate to do this once again but i really need some help financially

basically. i overdrew my account because my paycheck was short and some of my bills were higher than usual. my account was overdrawn by $100. one of my payments bounced & was returned.

my roommate sent me their half of shared bills yesterday. i didn't realize until i tried to pay said bill that the first bounced payment was tried again and went through this time

so i am short $75 for that bill, which is due on the oct 9th

and i have an appointment on monday for $60, but it's possible they might make me pay the $45 i owe from a previous appointment as well as the copay so uh

“carter, truth or dare.” steve asks his teammate, taking a swig from his beer. hes at a small get together with the basketball team. jason carvers dad is out of town so he told everyone to bring beer and come over.

its night and the june heat has turned into a cool breeze. nancy is at steves side, he had picked her up right after leaving bookstrordinary today.

“truth.” carter manages to slur out.

steve thinks for a moment. “alright. name the first girl you ever had a crush on.”

its a simple enough question. nothing mean or rude, and nancy leans in close against his side on the couch and takes a swig from steves beer.

hes happy. hes buzzed, nancy smells like lavender, he saw you today, and all is well.

“easy!” carter hiccups. “y/n henderson.”

steve freezes.

“y/n?” nancy finally says her first words tonight at the party.

“yeah, man. still kinda into her, but-but that guy… uh… joshua? jonah? i-i know it started with a j.” carter furrows his brows and concentrates really hard while in his drunken state. “anyways. that guy shes always with. cant talk to her. hes-hes weird.”

nancy chuckles. “his name is jonathan, but they arent together. steve says youre nice, maybe you should talk to her-"

“y/n doesnt like blondes.” steve interrupts, and then immediately wants to shove a foot in his mouth.

why the fuck would he say that?

carter hiccups again. “shes hot. id dye my hair for her.”

nancy pokes steves shoulder. “howd you know that?”

“we talk,” he takes another sip of his beer. “she likes guys who look like peter parker, sorry carter.”

the boy drunkenly waves him off and then stumbles towards the bathroom, leaving nancy and steve alone.

“does y/n really only like brunettes?” nancy asks, slight curiosity in her voice.

steve nods. “yeah, she mentioned it once or twice.”

hes lying.

youve never, ever told steve this.

what you have, however, told steve is that youve never been kissed.

in fact, you told him this today. steve kinda has been thinking about it nonstop.

and carter is nice, sure, but shouldnt your first kiss be with someone special? carters been hit in the head with more basketballs than steve can count. the guy is nice, but a complete idiot.

definitely not worthy enough to be your first kiss.

“interesting, hm.” nancy takes the beer from steves hand and then gets up from the couch. she extends her hand and when he accepts, she pulls him up. “c’mon, lets go dance.”

so they go and they dance and steve forgets about the fact that youve never been kissed. at least for a little while, at least.

and if carter the next day asks steve where you work, well. hes only being a nice guy when he tells his teammate that he doesnt know. you surely wouldnt want some dumb jock annoying you at work.

thats definitely why steve lies.

hi, i've been out of work for over a month because of a neurological issue (probably. they haven't found anything yet.) which has pretty much cleared up, but all my other chronic issues have been flaring so badly i still can't go back to work. i've been trying to do some freelancing and online odd jobs but the most i've made doing that was like $12 in one day. i'm still looking for a remote job i can feasibly do, but right now i need to figure out how to pay my bills.

i have two credit card payments due, both overdue. my phone payment is due march 24th (i'm able to promise to pay or do a split payment on different dates and they won't disconnect my service, so i have a little wiggle room). my car payment is overdue. my storage bill is due april 9th

and i need to pay board & pay for feed for my horse. i've had her since 2017, she's retired because she's ancient and full of arthritis. when i adopted her, i could afford everything, and i have been struggling to ensure i can pay her board every month because retirement farms are just as expensive and i don't feel right selling her when i know it's extremely likely they'll just put her down. her name is ishka:

so, payments.

phone payment is $128, due asap

credit card #2 needs $135, due asap.

ishka's board is $450, plus her feed for the month ($150) for a total of $600. the barn manager has been very understanding and knows i'm out of work for medical reasons, but this is for march board and i really don't want to end up two entire payments behind. so anything towards march's board would be a huge relief

credit card #1 needs $175, due april 1st.

car payment needs at least $131. the total amount due right now is $263; $131 is the regular payment due (april 1st), so if i can at least get the regular payment covered, it won't add more to what i owe.

storage bill is $85, due april 9th

for the credit cards, as long as i can throw like $20 at them like once a week that's good enough for now. i'm far more concerned with my phone bill, board, and my car payment. and the storage bill soon

total needed asap: $728 (phone, board & feed)

full total: $1206

i know this is a lot. i hate that i have to ask for the help. i'm spending the weekend looking for remote work and on monday i'm going to call some temp agencies

Am I obsessed with Shadow and Bone costume department? Maybe

But honestly? I think I should!

One thing that was pretty big in the books was Inej describing Kaz as having sharp features, all angles and edges, and look at this!! They made a pretty incredible work in making him look so sharp!

In contrast Inej is all round and soft (lovely and brave and better than anything he deserved)

And of course the casting director nailed cause who else would have this perfect cheekbones?? Freddy Carter is Kaz Brekker.

And even next to Jesper, he still has more edges and angles. Look, even though Jesper's hat is as angular as Kaz's his lapel isn't which give him a softness that isn't in Kaz.

If you ever want to know just how far Peggy's reach is even now, look no further than the historical dress community. If you've ever looked up 40s style tutorials, you will find plenty of blogs out there citing Agent Carter as the catalyst to their historical dress journeys. There are vintage style bloggers still doing Peggy-inspired looks. And vintage inspo/repro clothing brands are still sharing Peggy looks in their promo material. Not to mention Etsy sellers who are custom recreating her looks from the show.
