when night comes | nct 127

nwc: 8k genre: angst, horror au, ghosts au, haunted asylum au summary: 13.10. is anniversary of four high school students who first went missing, and then was found dead in gonijam asylum. no ones really know what happen, police couldn’t understand and answer questions, but group of friends this who died are here now, year later, to find out what happend. tw: death, mentions of killing someone, blood etc

“i can’t beliver that it’s all happend a year ago.” doyoung breaks the silence. it was only three people there, you, doyoung and taeyong. rest of the group should appear soon. “i mean, i feel like it was day ago.”

you looked over at them. you are no longer high school student, but college. boys, jisoo, jennie and you are still best friends, but some of you move out of seoul or country. mark, johnny and jaehyun came back to united states, jennie took jisoo and move out to seoul centre, doyoung and taeyong move out to Busan, but you, haechan, jungwoo, yuta and taeil stay together and lives in the same flat. you all rent it, and to be honest your life with them is pretty cool. doyoung with taeyong comes for every weekend, usa boys call you when they can, so it;s not that bad.

“yeah. it feels like it wasn’t that long.”

“how’s your life with them idiots?” taeyong asked with warm smile on his face. “i heard that you get along so much. yuta was excitied when he was talking about it.” his eyes changed a bit. you knew that taeyong miss you, and you too. well, let’s say that you two are kinda in love, but you two don’t see point in it.

“yeah, it’s really cool. my life with them is really crazy. boys brings fun everyday so it’s nice.” you smiled at him. “what about yours? how’s life there loosers?”

“also cool. busan is very comfortable city for us, right doyoung?”

“yeah, but somehow prices are higher.”

y’all chuckled. from afar you could see three guys with two girls, and you already knew who it is. small smile craved into your lips. you missed them so much, so when boys appear with girls you went to hug them.

“omg, she missed us!” mark’s voice always sounds somehow nice. “remember when she was swearing that she be happier without us tho!”

“yeah, look at this little baby!” johnny laugh made you warm inside. that’s what you needed. “we miss y’all to!”

“yeah, new york is cool, but not as cool as seoul.” jaehyun hide his hands in pocket. “here is home.”

“haha, right. told you to stay!” jennie whisper with smirk. “jisoo and i have a really nice flat in the centre. besides, guess who works in fashion magazine!”

“you kidding!” you couldn’t beliver her “how?!”

“they liked my work, and ask about my stories and all.”

“yeah, and i get to play small role in some kdrama.” jisoo aded with proud smile. “life is good to us.”

everyone was talking with everyone, it’s first time since last year events, when all of you meet together. you were waiting just for your roomates to come, but they call to tell that they can get there late. it’s also looks like some of you forget why you are here. but it’s fine. they who lost their life for sure don’t want you to be sad for rest of your lives.

finally you heard steps, turning around few boys was seen. everyone greet them, and talk for few minutes, but it doesn’t last much. you need to visit cemetery. everyone nod, and with this goes their way to place they need to see first. atmosphere dropped in seond when you saw gates of a place of eternal peace. their graves were next to each other.

first grave belonged to jeon jungkook. he was one of jaehyun’s best friends. your group knew him very well, sometimes he would hang out with y’all. he was really nice person. someone who would help no matter what. sweet person, who wouldn’t hurt a butterfly. he was truly angel among people back in times.

none of you thought that coming here back would bring so much emotions. everyone thought that it’s not going to be hard, but here it is. no one knows what to say or what to do. just staying in place without moving.

“i miss you bro.” jaehyun was first to speak, and goes to front with a candle. “i wish i could see you again, and talk about everything. or about games.” he chuckled lightly. you took a peek of his face, and teard could be seen in his eyes. “hope you’re in better place now my friend.”

after this everyone did the same, but you were focused on jaehyun. without thinking much you hugged him in tight hug. you could hear him sobbing, but you were fine with it. jaehyun is really hurt since then..

next was rose and lisa. two pretty bestfriends, who loved each other like sister. they were also bestfriends of jungkook. you also loved them, they were like sisters to you, and girls. everyone left candle and flowers.

“miss you girls. i guess you better now.” jennie was the only one who dared to spoke.

everyone was emotional now. thanks god, you were heading to last grave. yugyeom. he also was bestfriend w jungkook and jaehyun. to be honest, you didn’t know him well, but he seemed to be nice person.

everyone left flower, candle and some words. maybe they can hear what you say, and are thankful? thankful that you remeber?

“i would love to get drunk so much.” yuta said. “it’s would be the best for us right now.”

everyone agreed. getting wasted is the best to forget about problem, and shit. when you were about to go, letters caught your attention. you could swear that a year ago at yugyeom’s grave was written “ under the wide and starry sky dig the grave, and let me lie” and now it’s “under the wide starry sky, dig the grave and let me die”. it was weird.

“ey, jungwoo!” you touched his arm. “doesn’t the quote changed? wasn’t there ‘lie’, a year ago?” jungwoo was really confused at your words. he doesn’t understand what you talking about. “ah, at grave. the quote on grave changed.”

tall man needed a little second to understand what’s your problem. he didn’t remember really, because he didn’t focus on the grave quote or something. jungwoo was looking at grave once again, but he couldn’t tell if words changed.

“i don’t know y/n. this two words are similiar, maybe you are wrong? or you remember it wrong? or even if, maybe his parents changed it.” he shrugged his arms, and moves. “let’s go. we need to get drunk and forget!”

“as if we don’t do it every weekend.” you sighed.

once again you turn back to check it, but you decide to do picture of it. maybe you have one from last year in your phone to get it is it true or no? but if his parents changed it, why would they do it? isn’t it sound weird? he was supposed to lie there, and take a rest, but die. it’s like darker word in this situation, and who changes gravestones quotes?

apartament y’all live is pretty big, so everyone came here. boys bought some bears and vodka, when you with girls bought pizza and some candies. it was cozy, but at first no one knows what to talk about, so johnny with mark start talking and then whole mood changed at better one. most of you guys were laughing, and talking some stories from your life or what happend by this time, when everyone was far away. it was cool untill one of your friends spoke.

“i was thinking..” haechan’s voice was queit. “this case doesn’t leave me alone.” you could see he was slightly drunk. “what had happend to our friends?”

faces of people in the room dropped. no one has answer to this.

“do we need to talk about it right now? i’m sure they want us to get drunk.” taeil voice was heard.

“no, really.” haechan spoke again. “i think they would want us to solve their case, not get drunk and act like nothing happend.” he was mad. not that mad, but just a little bit. “hear me out. they goes somewhere together, went missing for whole two weeks, then their bodies are found, but no one knows where. police is silent, and there says that bodies were found in the woods. the woods that are not so far from this fucked up asylum. then info that bodies were moved from real place where they died. case is unsolved, and after month is closed. no one has answer what happend that night, how did they die, or why they were in this area?” everybody listen to him with attention “why police close it so fast? why they didn’t find any witness?”

you were at haechan side. ever since that day, this case was in your head. you tried to talk with boys or something, but they didn’t want to listen. it was strange.

“now as i listen, and everything is clear..i think he is right.” johnny said while looking at his friends. “i mean, why would police move their bodies?”

“aish, why do you always take his side?” doyoung said kinda tired. “this propably rumours.”

“because he always makes sense.” he hissed. “and no. some anonim from police confirmed, that they moved bodies.”

“i agree with haechan. i told you that it’s weird.” you speak slowly. “this doesn’t make sense. nothing. why did they go to this area? in the night? without telling somebody? no one knows that they want to go there, i mean sure. urban exploring is cool, and all, but why wouldn’t they tell anyone? why police lied? why did they moved their bodies? why they died?” you look up. “i just want to know what happend to them, and make this who do it pay for it.”

silene in room was too loud. every single one of you was thinking. piece to piece, and they understood.

“let’s go there.” jaehyun said while he took sip from his bottle. “jungkook told me they going for adwenture, and as you know in this woods is nothing special, they must go to gonijam asylum.”

“are you stupid?” jennie’s voice echoed. “no way. it’s scary. didn’t you guys heard about it?”

“heard what?” taeyong asked

“what happend there?”

you kinda hear that it’s only haunted place.

“no. tell us.” yuta whispered.

“it’s 7th the most hanuted and scary place in the world. it was closed like 50 years ago or so. it was asylum, and it was one ceo, who was woman. she was scary, and has nice person mask to media, and all. propably, staff and here was experimented on their patients. it was scary place. many people died there back there. people who died there are now seeking revenge, and took over asylum, because of their past.” he talks about it like about horror story, but..maybe it is? “they aren’t nice ghosts. few years ago some freshmen from high school went there, and went missing. no one finds them till today.” she added. “20 years ago, group of friends went there as a joke. two of them had died, because of heart attack and three of them were that traumatized, that they needed to be hospitilzed in mental hospital.”

of course everybody in the whole seoul knew about it, but they didn’t know about gonijam asylum. like, everyone was talking something, and people knew what happend, but didn’t know the reason. and well, you remember when you were like in middle school, when in tv everyone was talking about this high school guys, who were missing. your parents even help in searching, but it didn’t work.

“but this time we have 12 people together. i mean, i’m pretty sure the answer is there.” haechan said.

“i want to go.” jaehyun simply said. “we should.”

“yeah me too.” taeyong said

“are you crazy?” jennie asked. “there was people who died, the fuck!”

“but we are in bigger group chill out.” johnny said annoyed.

“i want to go to.” you raised your hand, and after this everyone do it. only jennie was against it. “jennie, we are in big group. we bring some cameras, tell someone and all. we’ll be fine.”

jennie was worried, but she agreed. after this, you talked about your plan and how to do it. tommorow night at 11 pm, everyone should wait in yours favourite pub. agree.

to be honest, isn’t it bad idea to goes to place where many lost their lifes or went missing? of course it is, but who thinks about it? no one, you are going there to solve what had happend to your friends, they deserve truth. you all deserve truth.

jisoo went with doyoung in car, jennie with mark, johnny, jaehyun and taeil, and you went with, haechan, yuta, taeyong and jungwoo. some of you had cameras and stuff to record everything. yours car was really fun. boys talk all the time, and you laugh at their words. you were kinda scared. well, going in the night to place like this is terrifing.

after an hour y’all arrivead. big woods spread all the way.

“are we really going into this darkness?” you could hear taeyong saying

“we’ll be fine.” you took his hand “no worries.”

taeyong could feel butterflies in his stomach. “if you say so.”

mark had camera, and turn it on. “ayo, wassup guys!” he said with little smile. “today we going to get to know what happend there or what our dead now friends find.” he looked over. “this our friends.”

each one of you waved at camera. johnny took another one, and jisoo last one. with this, you went into dark woods. the sight was really impressing. not many people visit this side of seoul, and thaht’s understandable. there is nothing to do or any attractions. also, people was looking at you as like at crazy idiots.

the whole way was really long, jennie and johnny was leading their way to asylum. maybe after 3km, you could saw big building. it was back door, cause police sometimes goes there and check place.

“i think we should go with 3 group with 4 people.” jennie said. “building is really huge, and also danegrous so it’s better to get more people.”

“ok, but how do we split?” taeil asked

“i’ll go with y/n.” yuta said confidently. “taeyong, are you going?”

“yeah.”

“i’ll go with you guys.” jungwoo stand next to you.

“okay, so y/n, yuta, taeyong and jungwoo is group 1.” jennie confirmed. “i can go with johnny, haechan and mark.”

“ok so i’ll go with taeil, jisoo and doyoung.” jaehyun said.

“ok, so now floors.” jennie looked around. “at the third floor is this room 206. it’s the door that can’t be open.” everyone get nervous. “who will go to this room?”

“no fuckin way. i won’t go there.” yuta said. “it’s too far.” he hissed. “you are the only one who knows this place the best, you should do the honors.” he point his finger at jennie.

she looks little bit scared. “so what? i fuck this room, no way.”

“as i said you should do the honors.”

“okay, fine.”

“nice. we’ll go to the second floor.” taeyong said.

“ok, so we’ll go to first floor.” jaehyun annouced. “let’s go.”

when al of you were going inside, jennie chose to tell some stories.

“you know why did they closed this place?” no response. “becasue patients died without reason. no one could tell what was going on, but most realistic options is this, that they experimented on them.”

“it’s sick. who would do it?” taeil said with disgisted face.

“no idea. but many saw ghosts there.”

“i can’t belive we do it.” doyoung said. “i mean, i want to know the truth, but i don’t want to die too soon.”

“we’ll be fine. chill out.” mark laughed.

it’s easy to say, but the location and the whole aura is so dark. you wanted to came back home, but you can’t. truth needs to be found.

finally, coming into hospital and turning lighter on you were even more scared. it looks like from horror movies.

“okay, we get going.” jennie said, and go with boys.

looking around you felt like someone is watching you. this place was really scary.

“okay, we need to go to second floor, let’s go!” yuta said with smile.

“yeah, this place has climat.” jungwoo moved forward. “i heard that you can hear ghost’s voice when you get deeper in this place.”

“that’s rumours.” taeyong rolled his eyes. “there is no ghosts.”

“you don’t know.” you said with smile. “i believe there are ghosts.”

“yeah, me too.” yuta agreed. “ghosts are here. they exist.”

“who would believe in ghosts?”

“we.” three of you raised your hands.

“yeah whate-” before taeyong could end his sentence, door just in front of you close by itself. you let out a little scream. “fuck.”

“see! you provoke them!” you said angry.

“maybe that was wind?”

“i don’t think so.” yuta said. “this place is really srewed.”

“yeah it is.” jungwoo said with hand around his neck. “maybe now i understand why they come year ago here. it’s seems fun.”

“jungwoo their lost their lifes here.” taeyong said.

“i know but still. this atmosphere is..unique.”

“let’s go to this room.” you pointed out room next to y’all.

it’s looks like it was patients room. two beds, some furnitures on the floor, but why does it look like it was burnt? nevermind. the whole room was looking like trash.

“oh someone leave their name on it.” jungwoo point out on the wall.

there was name written by spray. k-kang.. kang minsee.. fuck.

“kang minsee, who is it?” yuta asked

“this is one of the missing high school students.”

“she really were there.” taeyong was little bit worried.

“let’s go to next room.”

this one was looking like some type of laundry room. there was washing mashines, and other stuff. when you get closer to one of the washing mashines you saw that something is in it.

you were about to open, but your attention goes to loud ass steps.

“did you hear that?”

“fuck yeah.”

“yes i do.”

“maybe it’s other guys. they are here too.”

“but we should be only one on second floor, and the steps were really close.” you said with worried face.

“i bet it’s nothing.” taeyong said.

you shook your head, and come back to washing mashine. you were little hesistant at first, but at the end you open it. started to stinks, you reach to it, and you pull of something like mp3.

“what he hell is it?”

“isn’t it mp3?” jungwoo asked coming closer “it’s looks like one.”

“no, it’s not.” yuta touch it. “it’s dictaphone. old one. i think from few years ago.”

you eyed your friends. it was dictaphone.

“give it.” taeyong took it. “do you think it’s working?”

“maybe no, a lot time has passed an-”

sound of turning of came to your ears. is it working? why the hell police didn’t find it here?

“it is working.” jungwoo nodded. “turn one recording. is it one of this kang minsee and her friends?”

“i guess.”

taeyong took a second, and turn on one of the recording.

“it’s 2015, and me seo chung, jeon dan and kang minsee are inside gonijam asylum. fuck, i can’t believe we went here.”

“yeah me too! this punks from class won’t believe when we show them pictures.”

“we took only about 20, casue we are here for about an hour? i don’t know really, but this place is fucking amazing!”

“haha, if my parents knew i would be screwed.”

“don’t worry. if you’ll be dead no ones notice.” you could feel chills going down your spin.

“aish, don’t say this! it’s fuckin scaring me!”

“you know the rumours. a lot people have died here, and i hope we don’t be next one.”

“shut the fuck up dan, no ones die tonight.”

a loud smack is heard

“what the fuck?!”

“it was from this bathrooms..”

“but now we are in room number 53. bathroom are like at the end of hall.”

“what the fuck it was?” yuta said

“no idea, but something took them.” jungwoo was shaking with stress.

“but what does it do it here? they were first in another room, and then in bathrooms, why is it here? we in beginning the hall.”

“someone moves it?”

“if someones movs it they would took it to the police, even police didn’t find this, but we.” taeyong was stressed.

“we should take it and show police, when we get out.”

“you found it.” yuta voice was strict. “no way that i’m going to carry around this shit.”

you looked around at your friends, and without saying much, you just took it and hide it in your jeans pocket. now you were scared as hell, this recording sounds so horrible.. you couldn’t imagine what had happend there, and if this happend to this girls, so what could happend to your friends?

“let’s move to another room, it’s getting fuckin scary.” jungwoo said

“i don’t understand. why police didn’t find this?” you said. “why police don’t do nothing?”

“good question.” taeyong said

“yeah, but now we’ll be the one who took it to the police.” yuta smiled softly. “i’m wondering if others guys finds something.”

jennie was looking around the place, it was gabinet of ceo in front of her.

“who goes first?” she asked

“ladies first.” johnny said without hesitate

“fuckin jerk.”

“it’s called gentleman.” haechan rolled his eyes

“yeah, dude go first, we behind.” mark said softly, and reach to touch jennie’s arm. “we’re here.”

jennie needed few seconds to get courage to go inside. few breaths and she is inside. room is dark, and it’s seems like every furniture that was here this 50 years ago, it’s still here. guys went right after her. it was amazing view, cause most of them likes urban exploring, and it’s first time they were doing it. but they didn’t find anything that can answer their questions.

“hell, seems like someone is taking care of it.” haechan said.

“but who?” mark answered

“i don’t have any idea.” johnny said. “but it’s really does look like someone is taking care of this room.”

mark was about to touch painting that was hanging on the wall, but jennie stopped him.

“don’t fuckin touch it!” jennie shouted “you can’t touch things here, that was handmade.”

“why?”

“it’s brings bad luck. be careful.”

whole room has some type of aura, that’s can’t be explainable. every person in this room could feel it in their bones. in their head it was all messed up, and exciting, it felt wrong to be in such a place, but they doing it for any good, right? they just want justice for their friends.

“it’s smells here like..

“like cleaning stuff?” johnny ends.

“yes, exactly.” jennie’s voice echoed. “damn, i don’t want to be here. it’s fuckin scary place.”

“do you think there is something we can find?” mark said while recording everything “i mean, a lot of years passed and i don’t think that there is something left.”

“maybe, but i’m sure, there must be something.” haechan hissed. “for sure, there is something. police didn’t really look for things here.”

“did they find anything tho?” mark asked

“i don’t know.”

“they found pieces of clothing, and yugyeom’s phone.”

“wait.” jennie said. “only yugyeom’s? where is the rest phones? i thought they find them all.”

“no, they didn’t.” johnny looked around. “maybe they didn’t have them with themselfs?”

“are you stupid?” haechan rolled his eyes. “it’s 21st century, they had their phones with themselfs.”

“do you think it’s here?” jennie asked

“maybe it is, we don’t know.”

“guys.” mark voice get to their ears.

“but it was year already.”

“guys.”

“so what?”

“GUYS!” mark screamed, and catches everyone attention. “didn’t rose has iphone 9?”

“yes, she did, why?”

“it’s..” he stuttered “here.”

group of friends came to mark’s side, and sight in front of them made them feel scared. it was white iphone 9, that was laying down on the floor. crack on the phone screen. johnny bend down, and took it to his hands. he turn on the phone, and after few seconds the screen lights up, and wallpaper of her and lisa i shown.

“i feel like i’m going to throw up.” tears gets to jennie’s eyes. “it can’t be real.”

“the fuck, it’s right here, and police didn’t find anything?” johnny was angry. “year passed, and they didn’t find any phones?”

“oh my god, i can’t take it. no, i’m out.” mark was shaking a little.

“are you dumb? no way, we’re in together!” haechan touched his shoulders. “we’re in together, no one is leaving. we came a long way to be here, so relax, and don’t panick.”

“do you hear yourself, you jerk?” jennie said while crying. “we find fuckin rose’s phone, and she is dead! no one finds any phone, but we did! you don’t see it?”

“see what?”

“that someeone or somethin is messing with us?” jennie scream. “for this whole year no ones finds anything, like their phones, but WE did?” she was crying. “how we not supposed to panick.”

“everyone silent.” johnny took his finger to mouth. “shut the fuck up.”

“why?” mark reocrd his older friend. “what’s going on johnny?”

“i think i heard someone walking.”

“what?”

few seconds passed, and in the silent room, they could hear someones steps, that were really close to them. it was like someone is going on their way to them, and that was fuckin scary.

“guys, that can be others. we’re not alone here, remember.” haechan hissed, and with this steps get quiet. “see, told ya.” he turn around to face the door. “if you guys again going to scare us, i swear to fuckin god, that i rip this smile of your faces, got it?”

only silence answer him. they were little bit relaxed, since haechans words could make sense. they propably was making fun of them.

“so we’re here now.” jisoo said calmly.

“yes, it’s like canteen?” taeil asked

“yes, i guess.” jaehyun smiled softly. “do you think they got any left food?”

“ya! stop joking around jerk!” doyoung laughed. “maybe it is, but i bet the date is too old.”

“i feel like in all of this horrors.” jisoo said. “you know, scary things and other shit.”

“me too.” taeil added. “it’s seems like we’re in horror movie.”

“i guess.” doyoung said. “but the aura of this place is something different, it’s scare the shit out of me.”

“it’s true, but..” jaehyun looked at tables “i don’t know. i feel bad here.”

“because of them or..”

“no, because of aura. it’s seems off.” he smiled a little. “i hope i don’t gotta die here.”

“no ones will, you punk!” taeil punched him in the stomach. “don’t think like this, better watch out for some things that can be needed or so.”

they went to check tables, and other things that were there, but not really interesting was there to find. this place has it’s own years so it can;t be much stuff there. but somehow there was pretty a lot stuff. like tables, chairs, some closets and other shit.

“it’s looks like from cartoons.” jisoo laughed

“yes, one that you watched as a child.”

“exactly!” she said. “this climat is cool.”

“yes, but nothing to get.”

“it’s true.”

“do you think they were in this room?” doyoung asked, while taking camera from jisoo to himself.

“for sure.” jisoo said. “maybe they were going floor by floor?”

“i was wondering where did they die?”

jaehun’s question get them in shock. “no ones know.” taeil said “but i don’t understand why did they move bodies?”

“like for real.” doyoung added himself into conversation. “it doesn’t make sense, police seems like one of the killers to be honest.”

“what did necropsy show?” jisoo asked, moving away.

“that they have multiple internal hemorrhages, and organs affected.” jaehyun took picture of patients group picture.

“so, they were like killed inside?”

“it’s seems so.”

“but..” jisoo looked at doyoung. “how?”

with this board with notes fell on the ground with bang. jisoo let’s out silent scream, because of shoock. they could sweat that their hearst stopped for a second, because it was all of sudden.

“ok, it was scary.” jaehyun said while checking everyones out.

“it was, the fuck.” jisoo was looking at him angrily. “it’s fell down by itself, how y’all explain this?”

“i don’t know, maybe it’s just a wind.”

“you don’t even believe yourself jaehyun, don’t you?” taeil asked a little bit freaked. “it’s not wind. there was no wind.”

“he’s right.” jisoo said. “i believe it’s ghosts.”

“guys, don’t be kids..”

jaehyun didn’t say this words confidently, because he even didn’t believe himself. it was weird, because he could feel that something is off.

boys were talking, while you were looking around this room. it was something like lab, but not really. in the centres was table, where you suppose, was patients laying down. it was dark, and dirty. blood stains on it. creepy.

“i can’t imagine what had happend here.” jungwoo come over. “it’s like a bad dream.”

“yes.” yuta looked at lab glass. “imagine how many souls are here..crazy.”

“ghost’s aren’t even-”

“they are, taeyong.” you said “i had heard a lot of stories of paranormal activities, even my friends from campus had them.”

taeyong didn’t want to believe that such a thing like ghosts is real. he just can’t. it’s seems too fantastic to him, but his friends convience him more.

“look, there is some documents.” jungwoo said from the counter of the room. “many documents.”

“what is it?”

“it’s..raports from this process.”

you were standing before you went there.

“y/n you coming?” taeyong asked little bit worried.

“ah, yes.”

coming forward, you could saw bunch of papers. it was really raports of what they were doing here this time ago. most popular was trepanation of the skull, and organ cutting. scary shit.

“what the actual fuck.” you said, while reading next papers. “they weren’t humans, human couldn’t do such a thing to another human.”

“it’s not only in south korea.” yuta said. “back in 50s etc, it was casual to do in mental hospitalls.”

“but it’s scary, what the hell.”

while you were reading, you noticed that jungwoo was looking at the darkness, even tho few minutes ago he was right next to taeyong.

you came closer, but he didn’t even flinch or anything.

“jungwoo.” you touched his shoulder, but he didn’t move. “jungwoo?”

boys were too busy taking pictures of this document, so they didn’t pay attention to what are you doing.

“jungwoo, what’s going -”

before you could end your sentance, you could see now what he was lookig at in the darkness. it was like a woman. all white, somehow short woman with dark hair. she was looking at jungwoo, and you. she didn’t have her left eye, and she was smilling. the funny thing was that she wasn’t standing on the ground, she was above the ground. it paralised you, you couldn’t move because of fear.

“don’t fuckin move.” jungwoo whispered. “you see her, right?”

“yes, the fuck i do.”

“fuck.”

“what are you two doing?” taeyong asked. “it’s not time to play around.”

“shut the fuck up.” jungwoo said, while his hands start to shake a little. “woman. woman who is flying above the ground. she is standing in front of us. look.” his whisper came to taeyong’s ears.

everyone paled cause of sight. it wasn’t shadow or something. it was.. ghost. your hear pounding could be heard in a room. you were scared to death, and if this woman would come closer, you sure get heart attack.

yuta, and taeyong was thinking hard what to do since it was weird, and scary. yuta was first to slowly go back. he tried to go as slow, and as queit as he could. it was okay, and slowly rest of you followed him, but by the accident, taeyong bumped into small table. woman was coming closer, and you just run to exit of this room.

when y’all felt safe, you tried to catch your breath. it was scarry, and you even had almost tears in your eyes, because of it.

“what the fuck?!” yuta shouted, while jungwoo was shaking. “have you fuckin seen her?! i’m out, i’m not going to stay in this place any minute longer!”

yuta was about to punch someone because of it.

“no, you can’t leave us here.” taeyong said harshly. “i don’t know what’s going on, but we can’t leave one another out.”

“you fuckin saw her, you idiot!” he hissed. “it’s not a joke or something anymore, it’s not truth seeking. it’s really haunted place!” yuta was screaming. “haven’t you heard any japanese stories? because in my country we treat it with respect, and know what’s going on. and i’m sure, that i don’t want to die right here.”

“we all saw it.” jungwoo was scared to bones, and you were trying to comfort him, holding back your tears. “it was a ghost. she was fucking flying above the ground, and didn’t have left eye.” jungwoo was little too close to cry. “and you want to stay here?”

“we should screw it, and go to them.” you said. “we can’t be seperate, cause you see how serious it is.” boys were looing at you, listening carefuly. “please, i can’t take it no more.’

“i agree.” yuta raised his hand. “i don’t want to die, because of heart attack, you know.”

“okay, it’s great idea.” taeyong said. “jungwoo, can we go now?”

“yes, i’m better so we can.”

when you enter second floor, it was fast. but now? you felt like you were going around for about 20 minutes already, and that was weird.

“what’s going on?” yuta stand in front of you. “it feels like we going in circle.”

“we do.” you said. “we came three times by this door already.”

“it’s impossible.” taehyong whispered. “how?”

“i don’t know, maybe we are in fuckin haunted place, with a hundrads like not thousands souls, that are killing people once in a while?” jungwoo was pissed off, cause he didn’t like it. he wanted to leave this place, and come home.”

“let’s call jennie or jisoo.” you said. “or whoever.”

“i don’t think there is signal, you know.” taeyong rolled his eyes.

“just try.

yuta took of his phone, and called jennie. she was the only one who knew the whole story, and knew what’s going on with such a matters.

“hello?” voice from different side of phone spoke.

“jennie, thank god.”

“yuta? what’s going on? why do you call me?”

“how to say it?” he looked over at you, and your friends. “i think we should gather together.” he said. “we don’t know what’s going on. about half an hour ago, we saw ghost of woman without left eye, and she was levitating above the ground. we tried to get to third or first floor, but we going in circle it’s seems like this place is revolving around or something.”

“what the hell, are you serious? i swear to god, if you joking i’m going to fuckin kill you, yuta.”

“i’m not! please help us, we don’t know what to do.”

“we coming. contact somehow jaehyun to get them, and go to second floor.”

“yeah.”

your hopes get higher, when somehow there was signal, and you get help.

“fuck, my battery died.”

“wait, i think i do have signal too.” jungwoo called jaehyun. “jaehyun, dude come to second floor to help us.”

“what? why?”

“just come here, please.”

“coming.”

four of you were sitting together and waiting for your friends to arrive. it was silent, no knows dared to speak. too afraid to do something, choose silence.

“so..” taeyong looked at you, and yuta. “are you two dating?”

“what?”

“i thought that you are dating yuta.”

“no, i don’t.”

you didn’t date yuta, you just had a little deal with him.

“but when he called me two months ago, he said something opposite.”

yuta could only smirk. “i fucked her. you know fuck buddies, nothing serious.”

“shut up.” you said, and all you could see was taeyong with his lips agape.

“i.. i understand. it’s cool thing, tho.”

“it is, your ex is really something, aren’t you y/n?”

“can you shut the fuck up, and talk about it later? not to be mean, but didn’t you notice, that we in the centre of fucking hell, and we don’t know how to get out?” jungwoo was annoyed. “and you don’t have to be such a dick to taeyong.”

silence again. it was awkward now. you just wanted the rest of the group to come, and get out of this place. few minutes passed, and you could hear steps. a lot of steps. they’re here.

“oh my god, what happend?” jisoo was worried.

“i don’t fuckin care, i need to get out of it, before they going to kill us.” yuta stood up.

“what?” jaehyun was confused

jungwoo was only brave one to explain what did you experience tonight. it was wild moment. johnny, and mark were shocked, because of it. they didn’t want to believe what happend to their friend.

“same here. we heard steps, and other shit.”

“okay, so we can agree that they died here, because of paranormal activities?” haechan said, and everyone nodded. “do you have proofs?” again, y’all nodded.

“we should go this way.” taeil said..

“okay.”

when you were walking out the second floor, you didn’t know what is about to happen. everything was fine, untill everyone heard a big smack, and in seconds taeil was gone.

“where is taeil?”

“taeil?!”

“taeil!”

“taeil, where ar you?!”

no response. he was gone. everyone was looking around for him, but nothing left. he dissapear.

“fuck.” one tear get down your cheek. “i can’t believe it.”

“we can’t left now, we need to find him.” johnny was quick to say.

“call the police.” jennie was looking at the wall. “we don’t know what can happen, and if we’ll make it. call the police.”

“someone will have to wait for cops outside.” mark was looking at the ground. “who?”

“me.” yuta said while raising the hand. “someone with me?” he looked at you. “coming?”

“i guess.”

you turn to his side, and rest of your friends went looking for missing taeil. it was scary, you need to be careful to not die or went missing.

“why did you pick me?” you asked him. yuta was such a dickhead to you most of the times, even tho you fucked. “i thought you see me as a trouble.”

“don’t ask stupid questions.”

“i’m serious.”

“do you even still like taeyong?” yuta didn’t dare to look at your face. he catch you off guard with this question. “i’m serious too right now. do you?”

taeyong was somehow your crush, and sure, you two were about to get together, but it didn’t work out. pain in your heart last for a two weeks, then you just simply knew that it’s not it.

“no. he is my best friend, i don’t like him as this.”

“funny, poor boy is still crushing on you.” he said.

“you don’t know.”

“i do, honey.”

“okay, so what?”

“that it’s piss me off.” he looked into your eyes for second. “you can’t see how much i hate it, when he look at you with his puppy eyes?”

“why does it bother you?”

“because i like you, stupid.”

you for a moment forget about everything, and only yuta’s words was banging in your head.

“so why did you act like an asshole?”

“cause i didn’t want to show it, simple.”

with this your conversation ends. you felt like you were hit by truck. it can’t be possible. yuta does like you. strange.

few minutes later you two were outside hearing police coming, and blue lights that were really close. soon two cops went out of their police car, and come to you.

“good evening, i guess?” older one said. “do you know that being her is broking the law? it’s area that can’t be open for everyone. you can’t be here.”

“we are friends of students, who died here a year ago.” yuta said without thinking too much.

both policemen looked at each other, and give themselfs weird look. “what are you looking for here?”

“i don’t know, truth?” you said. “we couldn’t let go of this, if there was so many questions.”

“you shouldn’t be here, and seeking danger.”

“actually..” yuta was looking at police car. “we actually did.”

“what?”

“we know that it’s hard to believe, but this place is really haunted. we saw a woman. she didn’t have one eye, and she was levitated above the sky.” you tried to explain. “we found dictaphone this girls from 2015, phone of our friend rose, and our friend dissapear. we were about to left the place, when suddenly darkness came, loud smack, and boom. he gone.”

two men were little bit weird. they were looking, like they know what is happening.

“how many of you is here?”

“12.”

“where are they?”

“inside. looking for our friend.”

“we go in.” he said. “you should go to the car, and wait there.”

“but we can help.”

“no.” shorter one took out his gun, and flashlight. “we need to check inside. 15 minutes, and we be back with your friends.”

“ah, fine.”

you went inside first, and then yuta. this car was somehow safe for you. it didn’t make you scared or nervous. you were happy that finally this night will be done, and police will help.

“they seem strange.”

“they do. they were behaving weird.”

“but they are from police, they know what to do.”

“exactly. we have like 15 minutes left till they be back.”

“yes. we can be here, and you know.” you were looking at the window. “get in heat, it’s could outside.”

“yes, it’s warm here.”

“i hope they’ll find taeil.”

“they will. we need to be positive.”

“i am, but it’s just scaring.” yuta was now looking into your eyes. “this what is happening here. it’s seems like an horror movie.”

“but now we safe. they went to help our friends, and we here.” he hugged you. “everythings be fine.”

when you two were hugging together, someone walked out of the building. it was jaehyun.

“wait, jaehyun?”

both of you get out of the car, and went to your friend. you were confused, why was he alone, and why did he walked out of this place?

“what are you doing here?”

“i got lost, and when i was back on track i was on my way to the exit.”

“why are you alone?”

“i don’t know, we were looking for, and i went to the left, and mark came with me, and i only heard his scream.”

“what about police officers?” yuta asked. “have you seen them? they walked in a few minutes ago.”

“what police officers? i haven’t see anyone.”

“what?”

“i think we should get in the car, and maybe call some more.”

“yes, we shou-”

you couldn’t end what you were about to say, because glass cracking made you stop, and then body fell of the window.

“is it..”

“mark?”

“fuck!”

you couln’t handle it. you burst out crying. mark was laying down next to the stairs, his body covered in blood.

“mark, no, no please, no mark.”

the smile that was always on his face was now gone. he was laying down.

“y/n, back off.”

“let’s go to car.” jaehyun said. “it’s not safe.”

three of you went to the car. you were crying like crazy, it wasn’t normal.

“call someone!”

“it’s radio here.”

“do it.”

yuta took small radio, and start talking while pressing the button.

“hello?”

“yes, who are you?”

“thank god. i am yuta nakamoto, we called for police, but they went isnide, and one of our friends is dead.”

“wait, what?”

“as you heard. please, send someone.”

“i need to-” voice in the radio changed. “no one is going to help you stupid. you shouldn’t come here.”

yuta throw radio, and was about to scream too.

“no, plase no.”

you can’t leave your friends here, co you can’t drive the car, and go.

“think, what to do?”

“no idea, i’m scared.”

if it’s not the worst, jaehyun noticed sillhouete standing in front of the car. car lights were showing clear who it was. it was mark. his eyes were dark, whole dark.

“he was dead.” you whispered.

“i can’t believe it.”

“he isn’t moving. he is just standing.”

“it’s not mark.” yuta said quickly. “he is dead, that’s some monster.”

along with this, this came to the car and start banging in to the window untill it’s breaks.

with all your energy, you were running inside. darknes welcomed you, and suddenly the door was closed. there was no sign of anyone. policemen that went to help you were gone. your friends were gone. where did they go?

“i’m fuckin scared.”

“me too. let’s find them, and let’s go.”

you were already at third floor, and no ones around. you shoted their names, but nothing. it was last, and the scariest floor. slowly you were in front of this door of this fuckin room. when you were on your way to the 3rd floor, all you could notice was blood stains. idea of your friends being dead was nonsense for you. they are alive.

“they aren’t here.” yuta’s voice was first one to spoke. “they’re gone.”

“but where?”

“help.” weak voice was heard from not so afar.

“did you hear?”

“help me.” again.

“it’s jungwoo.”

everyone rushed to the room, and this what you see made you cry even more. jungwoo was laying on the floor with his hands pressed to his stomach. blood coming out of his wound.

“oh my god.” you came immadietly, and pressed your hands into the wound.

“they killed them all.” his voice was weak, and he fights himself from not closing his eyes. “they are dead.” he was crying. “i don’t want to die. i want to live. really.”

jaehyun, and yuta helped him to stand up, and fast enough y’all were on your way to get out. few minutes took you to get out. when you were still in the buliding you could hear steps or whispers, but everyone tried to not focus on it. when you were out, there was two cars of police.

“please, help us.”

“you killed your friends.” they said while looking at you, jaehyun, yuta and jungwoo. how would they know they dead? “you’ll go to mental hospital, and face consequences of murder. killed 10 people in total.”

“what? we didn’t! how would you know?” jaehyun was screaming.

“rooms in mental hospital are waiting.” one of guys said. “you’ll spend the rest of your lifes there for what you did.”

2020 End of Year Post - cdrama edition

This is only going to cover cdramas that aired in 2020; if I had to make a post about all the cdramas I watched this year, I would still be doing it in three months...

Overall it’s been a fairly decent cdrama year (certainly better than the very lacklustre kdrama year.) It’s no miracle that 2019 was (so many excellent dramas!) but overall pretty solid.

DRAMAS WATCHED

(In order of liking from least to most as opposed to pure quality; I am including if I’ve seen enough to make up my mind; yes I realize that’s inaccurate, but that’s my list)

44 The Legend of Jing Yan - the worst cdrama I have seen this year, and possibly the worst drama of 2020, period. The hero and heroine were both uncharismatic, incapable of acting and saddled with such shrilly moronic characters, the only suspense was how they haven’t both perished long since from forgetting to breathe. Nor was anyone in the rest of the cast much better; the screenplay was written by a lower mammal and the cinematography was the best a third-rate wedding cinematographer could offer. Stay the HELL away from this one.

43 Unicorn Girl - the only unicorn about this bland yet irritating piece of pap was the fact that I was supposed to believe the leads are hockey players.

42 Autumn Cicada - I like spy stories, Allen Ren, and Republican Era settings. I can tune out Communist propaganda with the best of them. Yet, the propaganda ate the story to such a degree that there was nothing left; pre magic change Pinocchio was less wooden then this narrative.

41 You Complete Me - no you do not.

40 Skate into Love - the only positive thing I can say about this is that at least it’s better than Unicorn Girl, if for no other reason that only one of them is supposed to be a hockey player.

39 Irreplaceable Love - how do you make a story about fake siblings with a mad mother falling for each other boring? I don’t know, ask the makers of this.

38 Eternal Love Rain - I hate to rain on their parade, but these two actors cannot act, have about as much chemistry as a piece of bread, and are trapped in a story perfect for entertaining the mental abilities of the leads of Jin Yan.

37 For Married Doctoress - ummmm, you could do worse I guess. It only made me break out in mild hives. The sadistic ending did make me laugh though.

36 Dance of the Sky Empire - why you get Xu Kai and waste him in this insipid mess of a story is beyond me.

35 Love Designer - it’s inoffensive except to my sense of entertainment. There is nothing wrong with it but oh God is it bland.

34 Love a Lifetime - It felt like a lifetime watching this, but I didn’t love it. The story is incoherent, the actors have no chemistry and it’s all an epic waste of time.

33 Love is Sweet - so sweet it gave me diabetes. I like Luo Yunxi and Bai Lu, but there is literally no plot. I don’t need to sink into a plotless morass to watch pretty people engage in PG-rated make-outs. I am an adult with access to stronger stuff if I am thus inclined, though to be fair they could get x-rated and I still wouldn’t be able to sit through so many episodes of plotlessness for that.

32 Fake Princess - I love Zhao Yi Qin, but the guy needs to pick better projects. The female lead in this one has the voice and personality that can strip paint but the story is also doing nobody any favors.

31 The Changan Youth - I lost my brain checking this out. I had to go and read a dense treatise on medieval coinage or Mayan farming to try to recover it.

30 My Dear Destiny - kinda cheesy fun. It honestly shouldn’t be as low except it really feels like community theater.

29 Handsome Siblings - why is the Nic Tse version so good and this one so bad? True mystery for the ages. Chen Zhe Yuan is the sole reason this isn’t lower, because that kid tries SO HARD to make this drama bearable and almost succeeds. I can’t wait to see him in Sha Po Lang which actually will give him something to do.

28 In a Class of Her Own - see my comment on The Changan Youth. But at least Song Weilong is gorgeous to look at.

27 General’s Lady - inoffensive, pretty and so utterly pointless.

26 The Blooms at Ruyi Pavilion - those two leading actors are a no go to me but at least they considerately acted with each other instead of ruining two dramas for me. It’s very pretty though.

25 Jiu Liu Overlord - it’s a mess and I bailed, but I placed it this high merely due to the fact that Lai Yi finally gets a leading role and he’s sexy as fuck and I am shallow. Whoever styled Bai Lu should never work again except at a circus, however.

24 Cross Fire - not my genre and Luhan will always look too much like my cousin for comfort, but it’s a surprisingly gripping and dark drama. I liked it!

23 God of Lost Fantasy - if you want to watch a mediocre wuxia/xianxia, this is not a bad choice. Probably better than Legend of Fei actually, because at least it doesn’t have an A-list cast to waste and gives us Sheng Yilun himbo and shirtless.

22 Renascence - the insane cuts (it went from 70 eps to 36!!!) made a fairly cheesy story into a total mess. But I had a good time until I finally bailed mainly because of the male lead (Chen Zhe Yuan yet again carrying a not-good 2020 drama on his shoulders; the guy should be nicknamed Atlas) and the insane but in a fun way story. The female lead (both the character and the actress) were not up to par but oh well.

21 Legend of Fei - only this high because objectively there is nothing I disliked it. But there is nothing I liked either. The most uninspired drama on the list. If you could eat cardboard, this is what it would taste like.

20 Ever Night 2 - compared to EN1, it’s a waste of film. On its own merits, it’s not very good (the cast replacements are uniformly inferior and Dylan Wang is so wrong for Ning Que I cannot even put it into words; the script is useless.) But it had some parts I loved so very VERY much (all the shippy stuff was perfection) so I don’t feel too bitter.

19 Castle in the Sky 2 - a lovely if not too complex fairy tale. It is inferior to its prequel because it doesn’t have Zhang Ruo Yun who elevated it, but it’s still a solid bit of fun.

18 The Great Ruler - it’s very high fantasy, very pretty, and surprisingly involving.

17 (tie) Legend of Two Sisters in the Chaos - the secondary couple steals the show but the rest is not too bad if not too involving.

17 Legend of Awakening - a solid bit of fun with a seriously BDSM streak (theme this year apparently - but come on, the lead’s powers only activate when he’s in extreme pain!) It’s a bit generic and the costuming is done by a blind person, not to mention the OTP is a NOTP, but the rest of relationships (romantic and platonic) are wonderful (I live for the found siblings story in this one) and I like most of the characters.

16 Consummation - a rare modern cdrama I liked; a sweet coming of age story (and love story) even if wrapped in a pretty weird virtual reality concept.

15 Oops the King is in Love - this is how you do a low budget, sweet, silly piece of fluff. Our heroine pretends to be a eunuch and crosses paths with a powerless young king and they are adorable, even more so than the drama.

14 Song of Glory - pretty solid, though draggy and I didn’t love the toothpaste filter. But A+ cast, excellent leading couple chemistry, Li Qin being a BAMF and a leading man (Qin Hao) who is actually an adult.

13 And the Winner is love - objectively kind of a mess (and the heroine has the brainpower of a gnat), but the OTP chemistry is excellent and Luo Yunxi fighting and flirting with a fan as finally a leading man is worth the price of admission.

12 Miss S - snazzy and snappy and stylish and whatever else starts with S.

11 Eternal Love of Dream - I don’t know if it would work for you as well if you weren’t a hardcore shipper for this OTP in Three Lives but I was and this was such a darling, wonderful, shippy delight; plus I love this type of high fantasy.

10 (tie) Maiden Holmes - solid and sweet and a wonderful OTP. Proves that functional doesn’t have to mean boring. If you watch one cross-dressing drama this year make it this one.

10 Qin Dynasty Epic - srs bsns history epic. I am not far into it but it’s so good and smart and visually stunning (if you love battles, this one is for you.)

9 Love Lasts Two Minds - I adored this so much more than I should objectively have, but it’s so beautiful (and no I am not just referring to Alan Yu’s face) and the OTP has wonderful chemistry and the story is solid, and the whole trope of her memory being wiped but falling for him all over again while he’s constantly and utterly devoted is a fave; plus he’s in pain and semi-dyng for most of it so sluuuurp (happy ending, don’t worry)

8 To Love - yes, a modern drama is this high! But it involves intensity, tragedy, genuine adults and sexiness that is Lin Gengxin. And there is an actual plot and darkness OMG!

7 Legend of Xiao Chuo - so beautiful, so fun, so full of gorgeousness of Shawn Dou. Plus, Liao is a rare setting for a cdrama and there are a lot of characters and stories I liked a LOT. Less ship content than I wanted but more than I expected.

6 The Romance of Tiger and Rose - so so delightful. I was literally laughing out loud. I have no idea if it will work as well if one isn’t a seasoned watcher of period cdrama/reader of web novels, with bonus for watching/reading Goodbye My Princess, but it was a complete delight for me (and yes, I shipped for real, as well. Best of both worlds.)

5 Twisted Fate of Love - Jin Han gets a leading period drama role! And he’s enjoying it to the hilt, excellent as a smart, twisty bastard who is also charming and so madly in love with heroine. Sun Yi is beautiful and tough and her chemistry with JH is on fire, the story never drags, and it’s so twisty and fun and just awesome.

4 Love In Between - the most underrated drama on this list. It has no big names or big budget, but it’s wuxia that’s clever, driven, tragic, hopeful and so beautifully shot. Three separate (amazing) OTPs, a leading man who is so not typical (a doctor who cannot fight and who never acquires this ability) and who is intense and smart and damaged, a heroine who puts her quest ahead of her emotions, an unhealthy degree of involvement by yours truly. This is a drama Fei should have been.

3 Love and Redemption - such a lovely, addictive, utterly romantic fairy tale. I was obsessed with it for a reason. All the tropes you love and some you didn’t know you did, a star-crossed OTP to the nth power (and a secondary OTP I hardcore love), a twisty yet coherent plot, some insane chemistry and so much whump and hurt/comfort they must have bought blood packets in bulk.

2 Go Ahead - yes, I can’t believe it either. A contemporary slice of life cdrama made it this high on my list. But the way it feels so real, the found family perfection, the characters I love and loathe, the perfect cherry of a wonderful OTP that hits my narrative kinks on top, and just a perfect storm of loveliness all around with this one.

1 The Wolf - is that any surprise to anyone who’s checked out this tumblr for the last couple of months? Tragic, intense and gorgeous; so romantic and angsty and passionate it made me lose my mind (though some of it was gone the moment the camera panned to Darren Wang) - all my favorite tropes and then some; this is a drama that may not be perfect but it is 100% and then beyond perfect for ME.

FAVORITE DRAMA

The Wolf - I have seen objectively better cdramas; even this year. But it has been literal years since I have been this hardcore obsessed, this utterly pleased, this emotionally catered to and devastated at once. A beautiful dark fairy tale that manages to own me despite the storytelling gaps due to censorship, it took me for one of the biggest emotional roller coaster rides of my drama watching career. Visually gorgeous, poetic, intense, and so romantic it took my breath away, this is not just my favorite cdrama of 2020, it’s my favorite drama this year period, and the one cdrama this year to make it into my permanent Top 10 cdramas list.

WORST DRAMA

Legend of Jin Yan - see my write up for it for why as I refuse to waste more time on this stupid mess.

FAVORITE MALE CHARACTER

Wolfie, The Wolf - he is such a haunted, tormented, complex, dark mess; loving and violent, severely damaged and with a hidden yearning softness, longing and aloof. And the amount of charisma and sheer masculine sex appeal Darren Wang brings to the role is insane and not something I see much of in a cdrama. Plus, that character arc with its rapid fall and slow painful redemption is A++++

Runner Up: Sifeng, Love and Redemption - has a male lead ever loved more utterly and selflessly, suffered more thoroughly and beautifully, and managed to have such chemistry with both his leading lady and his leading man (that his leading lady temporarily turned into) at once? The answer is no.

Almost made the cut - Feng Xi, Twisted Fate of Love, Han Shuo, The Romance of Tiger and Rose, Qing Ci, Love in Between.

FAVORITE FEMALE CHARACTER

Xiao Qian, The Romance of Tiger and Rose - so funny, so much the reason this drama was such a delight. I adore her beyond words.

NEEDS TO BE MURDERED

Murder Daddy, The Wolf - I am sad the censors robbed us of seeing him die on screen. He was fully human but nonetheless managed to be the worst monster in a drama full of literal ones.

Ling Xiao’s Mom, Go Ahead - I hate her so much I don’t want to look up her name. She abused the kid, the disappeared and came back to abuse him some more. I mean she literally gave her child mental health issues. She is the WORST.

FAVORITE SHIP

Xing’er x Wolfie, The Wolf - are you kidding me? Who else could it ever be for me? They destroyed each other and saved each other, sworn enemies and childhood lovers, soulmates and epic messes, they couldn’t live with or without each other. The longing, the passion, the intensity, the angst, the epicness. LIKE THERE ARE NO WORDS!!!!

FAVORITE SECONDARY OTP

Si Yuan, Shen Manqing, Love in Between - I loved them as much and often more than the main OTP. So much angst and passion and a happy ending! She is a seeming sect darling (except the sect is horrible and also sexist so her only worth is as a marriage candidate) and he’s an information broker who is actually one of the members of a destroyed sect that’s blamed for the massacre of her family. That chemistry and yearning is insane. The scene where she touches his face when he’s unconscious was in serious running for my favorite scene of 2020.

NOTP

Legend of Awakening - I have never seen a couple that didn’t just have no chemistry but exhibited actual revulsion towards each other before watching Chen Feiyu and Cheng Xiao try to act as lovers in this one. It was almost entertaining to be honest.

FAVORITE SCENE

It’s a tie and both are from The Wolf. One is a sequence where Wolfie marches to the walls alone, seeking death at Xing’er’s hands and the whole sequence with the battle and rescue follows. The other is the intercut between Xing’er going to her wedding and Wolfie going to his execution, and the auto-da-fe being intercut with her wedding.

BIGGEST CRUSH

Wolfie, The Wolf - Ummm have you seen this tumblr lately, it’s basically a drool shrine to the man.

BEST SCENE STEALER CHARACTER

Yelü Yansage, The Legend of Xiao Chuo - I have loved this actor since The Myth and he continued to competently steal every scene he was in.

NEEDS A SEQUEL

To Love - come out of the coma, dammit!!!!!!!

NEEDS A DIRECTOR’S CUT

The Wolf - duh. It started out as 59 eps and got cut to 49. I reaiize some stuff is never gonna get put in due to censorship, but some of the stuff that got cut got for time reasons because they were deluded and hoping to get a TV broadcast so ep count had to be under 50. I mean I doubt the censors would care if they kept scenes of Wolfie building her a swing or whatever. I really really want a director’s cut the way Goodbye My Princess did even if like with GMP it’s only three extra eps. Hell, I will take extra three minutes, as long as those three minutes are Darren Wang shirtless or with a sword. Ahem.

NEEDS SCISSORS TAKEN TO IT

The Song of Glory - it’s a fairly solid drama but honestly it didn’t need to be as long as it was and kind of got draggy and I got lost interest. (I could have gotten snarky and said all the dramas I didn’t like needed scissors taken to them in their entirety but decided to play nice.)

TOO MANY SCISSORS TAKEN TO IT

There are a number of dramas I could complain about with regard to this (hi there, darling The Wolf!) but this award goes to Renascence - poor Renascence was never going to be a masterpiece, but it had the potential to be a bit of good cheesy fun until it had its run time cut by more than half and became an incoherent piece of insanity.

TROPE THAT NEEDS TO DIE

Dumb shrill innocent heroine who can’t tie her shoes - see basically all the cdramas I didn’t like this year.

FAVORITE TROPE WE’VE SEEN A LOT OF

Male lead torture - I mean it’s always open season on that in cdramas, but between Love and Redemption, The Wolf, Love Lasts Two Minds, Love in Between and so on, it was a banner year!

BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT

Legend of Fei - what a waste of that cast; what a waste of our finite time on this Earth. What a waste of my intelligence to hope for something better and stick with it for a dozen eps. I have had stale wonderbread that had more personality than this drama.There is absolutely nothing that stands out about this drama in any way, from half-dimensional characters, to actors who are sleepwalking, to a plot that moves at the speed of an arthritic snail, to uninspired cinematography and direction, to lack of any chemistry between anyone in the cast. If paint-by-numbers was done by a group of particularly linear robots, it might come across the same way as this drama.

BIGGEST GOOD SURPRISE

The Wolf - honestly, I did not expect it to come out AT ALL EVER let alone to become my favorite drama of 2020. I was not familiar with the leading man (hahah), I liked Li Qin but wasn’t yet obsessed with her, and Xiao Zhan was excellent in The Untamed but I was hardly going to follow him from drama to drama (and I don’t do SLS any way.) And the trailer was enjoyable but unlike seemingly everyone, I didn’t think it was going to be some epic masterpiece. And then it came out and while it wasn’t objectively an epic masterpiece, it pulled out all the favorite tropes, shippy and narrative kinks from the deepest darkest recesses of my id. And I fell harder than I have in years.

2020 DRAMAS I HAVEN’T SEEN THAT I MOST WANT TO WATCH

None. Covid Year gave me PLENTY of time

BEST NON-2020 DRAMA I’VE WATCHED IN 2020

Novoland Eagle Flag and Joy of Life - they are in my Top 10 dramas from anywhere now. They are quite different except being smart and giving me protagonists to obsess over.

ETA: Also The Untamed because @idlewilds3 pointed out I actually watched it in 2020 even though I didn’t think so because this hellyear has lasted about three decades.

MOST ANTICIPATED IN 2021

I am gonna limit it to dozen and leaving out ones that aren’t necesarily supposed to air next year (Joy of Life 2, Love in Flames of War, Novoland Princess from Plateau.)

OMG I GOT A WHOLE ESSAY LOL (i love i tho dw)

for me, i have watched about 30-35 different k dramas and i tend to get really immersed in them and the story, but similar to you, i developed such an emotional attachment to this show.

if i really like a k drama, i’m usually sad it’s over for like a day and just move onto the next one, but this one. vincenzo i was so sad for weeks bc i became so emotionally attached to the characters. especially vincenzo.

i have always really liked dramas that are action and revenge stories too. song joonki did such a great job like he just played the role so well, and my heart truly belongs to yeobeen who played chayoung like idk the characters were so good! and when they kissed for the first time omg jfjsjssjsj

also i really like how they made it clear that like vincenzo and taecyeon are both bad people. well not bad but like, vincenzo is the less of two evils and he knew that. IDK VINCENZO WAS JUST SUXH A COMPLEX character that was portrayed perfectly. i didn’t watch the show while it was coming out but i only watched like 1-2 eps everyday bc i had a lot of uni work but i woudl go nuts bc it would always end on a cliffhanger.

this was all over the place i hope it made sense lol

yes yes yes, I like how they didn’t deny the fact that Vincenzo was also still a bad guy, but like you said the less of two evils and he was doing good deeds at some point hehehe also yes song joong ki really played this role so well, I can’t imagine anyone else but him in it, and I refuse to watch anyone in his place

As for me, I’ve watched over 110+ kdramas HAHAHAHA that’s a lot but I’ve been watching kdramas for 5 years already so that’s fine (although almost all of them I binged watched 👀)

For weeks? OOOO GIRLYYY I understand I understand, that’s Vincenzo for us HAHAHAHA, it’s honestly an amazing show tbh, even that is an understatement

also chayoung is a hell yes from me, have you seen her fashion? THE CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT? BEAUTIFUL

also I forgot to mention this but the “gold” part of the kdrama was AMAZING, even though you kind of forget about it halfway through because of the other things going on, the way they extracted it and the plot twist in it just UGH TAKE MY HEART

2020: A Year in Thirst

In 1985, Gabriel Garcia Marquez gave the world Love in the Time of Cholera. In 2020 (er, I guess it’s now 2021), I give to you, Thirst in the Time of Covid-19 or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Embrace the Thirst, a brief recap of all the dramas I watched in 2020 and whether such dramas made yours truly parched..

The list contains dramas that premiered in 2020, but also dramas from previous years. If I watched it or attempted to watch it in 2020, it’s on the list.

EDIT: Ok, I’m going to have to do this in multiple parts because apparently I watched more dramas in 2020 than I remembered and talking about them all in one post would just be too long.

This also serves as a sort of greeting to all the people who recently followed me. I don’t know how or why, but thank you for being interested in my thirst, and also so sorry for everything you have/will witness here! I started this side blog last December 2019 as a place to dump all my fangirl feels and thirst with unbridled abandon and let’s just say, the thirst REALLY ramped up in 2020 during quarantine and all the political chaos/uncertainty. The state of the world may be uncertain, but my thirst will always be a comforting constant! LOL. If you want to thirst or fangirl/boy together, I’m all ears.

Anyway, let’s start with the drama that was partially the inspiration for this list.

1. The Wolf

Brief Summary: Sweet hot boy raised in the wilderness/by wolves meets sweet beautiful girl and they fall in love. Shitty evil people do shitty evil things to them to cause a misunderstanding and they are separated for years. Sweet hot boy is given the “Sexy Bloody Tormented Killer Makeover” TM and turns into a VERY VERY BAD HOT Wolf Man after being tortured/brainwashed by an evil asshole king who “adopted” him. Bad Hot Wolf Man reunites with sweet beautiful girl but because of third party machinations in the past, he thinks that she betrayed him so he is suuuuuuch an ass to her (while still maintaining hotness). But even beneath the asshattery (and sexy jerky smirks), he can’t help his love for her and it’s just *chefs kiss*. The angst, the pining, the mutual sacrifice for each other, the torment of wanting to be together but not being able to be together because of external forces/circustances, oh I am getting in a tizzy just thinking about it. I won’t reveal anymore so as not to spoil the drama, but just know the ending may destroy you.

Is she thirsty? Am I thirsty? AM I THIRSTY? Oh honey, if you don’t know the answer to that, then you must either be new here or you haven’t been paying attention to any of my posts in the past few weeks. Look, from the first moment the camera panned to Darren Wang’s very well-defined and tan chest and windswept hair, all semblance of shame and dignity I ever tried to feign on this tumblr was immediately thrown out the window. The feelings that he inspired within me were purely primal. My cavewoman ancestor from millennia ago stopped gathering food in the harsh wilderness for a brief second to transmigrate into my body and go “me want big strong man!”

I mean, below is literally our introduction to Wolf Boy. Am I supposed to just witness this and not feel anything? The director knew what he/she was doing. Anybody who worked on the drama who says they didn’t intend to exploit Darren Wang’s assets is a BOLD FACED LIAR. And this isn’t even Wolf boy in his hottest form.

Honestly, just check out The Wolf tag on @dangermousie tumblr and you won’t be disappointed. Prepare to become obsessed, horny, and heartbroken.

Would I watch it minus the thirst traps? Have you ever thirsted so much that you couldn’t separate what reaction was hormonal and what was objective? Like the guy is so hot to you that when your friends ask you what do you like about him, the first 10 things you can think of are “he’s hot!” and then you try to remind yourself that you’re not a shallow person who actually cares about things other than looks but at the same time you can’t for the life of you think of a non-hot based trait that you like about the guy Yeah, that’s what happened here so sorry, I can’t give you an objective opinion. It’s not that there’s nothing objectively good about The Wolf, it’s just that my judgment is too clouded by Darren Wang’s abs and big hands. But from what I can tell by other people’s posts, even if you didn’t thirst for Darren Wang (Are you made of stone? But also, can you please teach me your magic so I can go back to being a semi-functional working woman?), The Wolf is still a very enjoyable drama with its own non-Darren Wang related merits.

2. My Beautiful Bride

Brief Summary: A drama about a strait-laced banker who wears a dorky backpack and rides a bicycle everywhere while wearing the dorkiest looking helmet ever and his beautiful bride-to-be whom he is hopelessly devoted to. This being a kdrama, and an OCN drama at that, things aren’t all what they appear to be. Yes, you read that right, an OCN. ROMANCE. DRAMA. Turns out the beautiful bride-to-be has a dangerous past that soon comes back to haunt her and she mysteriously disappears one day from strait-laced banker’s life in the typical kdrama way to protect him. Part of the reason she leaves him is also because she doesn’t want him to know about her past because she doesn’t think she’s good enough for him. Little does she know, he knows everything about her past and accepts it all. The only reason why he doesn’t bring it up is because he knows she doesn’t want him to know about that part of herself and he loves her so much he’s willing to do anything to make her happy. But also, another thing she doesn’t know is that underneath that boring but perfectly ironed suit, is a finely chiseled, super efficient fighting machine who did his mandatory military service in the special forces. He is like the terminator meets Liam Neeson’s character in Taken. He has a very particular set of skills and will stop at nothing to get his bride back.

Prior to The Wolf, My Beautiful Bride was probably the most thirst-inducing drama I watched in 2020.

I don’t’ know how Joo Young saw that body and never questioned whether he really was just a banker. The writers of the drama must be super heterosexual men who are blind because so many of the characters in the drama question why someone as beautiful as Joo Young would ever want to be with someone like the banker. Um..Um...aside from the fact that he is financially well off, treats her well, is loving and respectful of her, and prioritizes her over everything else, JUST LOOK AT HIM. I was so thirsty for Kim Mu Yeol in this role that I would accidentally tag this drama as My Beautiful Banker sometimes. The banker was on a relentless one-man mission to take back his bride and turn me on in the process and ooooooh boy was he successful on both fronts. He is seriously sex on legs every time he beats up a baddie in his quest to find answers about Joo Young’s whereabouts.

Would I watch it minus the thirst traps? I binged the first six episodes of this drama in one afternoon partly because of my thirst, but also partly because it’s a very well made crime-action-gangster drama. This is an OCN drama so you can expect a competently made production with well choreographed/bloody action scenes and a solid script.

3. Scarlet Heart Ryeo / Moon Lovers

Brief Summary: IU plays Hae Soo, a modern woman who is somehow transported back in time to the Goryeo period. There, she gets entangled with a group of royal princes. Her two main love interests are Wang So (played by Lee Jun Ki) and Wang Wook (played by Kang Ha Neul). The princes vie for the throne and some of them for Hae Soo’s affection. Lee Jun Ki does what he does best, which is play a sexy tortured deadly man who looks way too good with blood splattered on his face. Kang Ha Neul is the seemingly kind prince/daddy long legs character who turns out to be not so kind or daddy long leggy. Hae Soo is...well IU did the best she could with what she was given (which was a hot inconsistent mess).

Is she thirsty? Scarlet Heart Ryeo is like the honeypot of thirst traps. It’s essentially a reverse harem set up with a prince for everyone.

Like them young and cute? Then try the 10th prince, Wang Eun.

Want them big, tall, and kinda dumb? Here’s the 14th prince Wang Jung for ya.

Want an evil bastard with an affinity for guyliner? Try out 3rd prince Wang Yo.

Tall, slender, and scholarly? 13th prince Baek-ah will fill your needs.

Is a kind/gentle man who will ultimately disappoint you because he doesn’t show up when you need him most more your speed? Well, let me introduce you to 8th prince, Wang Wook.

Kinda scary but oh so hot and with a ton of baggage? We’re talking, I overpacked and brought 10 overstuffed large suitcases levels of baggage. 4th prince Wang So is the guy for you.

And if you prefer someone with no personality, presence, or memorable traits, I got a two-for-one deal for you in the crown prince Wang Mu and 9th prince Wang Won.

Would I watch it minus the thirst traps? There is political intrigue, scheming, romance, fluffy hijinks (my least favorite parts of the drama), angst, beautiful costumes, and pretty decent fight scenes. Scarlet Heart Ryeo is a pretty solid fusion/fantasy sageuk mostly thanks to Lee Jun Ki. The only person who has ever carried a larger load on his back is Atlas. I’m not saying all the other actors are horrendous. It’s just very clear that the one elevating the material beyond the inconsistencies/messiness/elementary politics of the script is Lee Jun Ki. Your enjoyment level of the drama will likely increase if you are a fan of any of the main actors.

My 2020 in dramaland pt 1/4

I’m doing this at the start of december but I’m scheduling it to be posted on Christmas Eve, because that way I can say to everyone Happy holidays! Anyway, these are the Korean dramas I watched this year (listed in the order I saw them, NOT including my favorite dramas, those will have its own post!)

Love Alarm (2019): I don’t think I need to say what this was about lol if you haven’t seen it, chances are, you’ve heard of it. This is like all those Netflix shows I binge in one day, hate them but still can’t help but want to know what happens next and immediately need a season 2. Btw, this drama has the type of love triangle that I tolerate the most: the men who like the girl are also BFFs and never actually turn against each other, or at least suffer because they don’t really want to hurt the other. Bros before hoes! Kinda.

OTP: Jojo&SunOh. Hate that I love them tbh. But it’s mostly all thanks to him. To me, KimSoHyun’s chemistry with SongKang is the best chemistry she’s ever had with any of her co-stars. Well, maybe it’s a tie with Jisoo. Sorry Jang DongYoon.

Thing I enjoyed the most: Knowing there’s a second season coming. I NEED CLOSURE! Dramas should never have seasons, it’s cruel.

Do I recommend it? Uhm... Yes. But beware of old tropes like Noble Idiocy super idiotic, a FL that never speaks her mind and a whole lot of nonsense angst and pining. Hey, your average kdrama basically.

Crash Landing on You: You know she actually did crash land on him. Twice. I loved that they were so doomed, it was awesome. A forbidden and beautiful romance, they were all in for each other. He was handsome and cute I mean is HyunBin! but she was my favorite: brave, sassy, bold and a CEO. I hated when they shoot her. A pity they can only be happy in Switzerland, but I liked that about their ending. (I made a sort of review of the finale here)

OTP: Awesome chemistry, have you heard about all those dating rumors? But my favorite couple was actually the second lol. I will never forgive this drama for NOT giving them a happy ending. WTF? And that’s why it’s not in my fave’s list.

Thing I enjoyed the most: Apart from the love stories? North Korean soldiers from Captain Ri’s team. Bless them.

Do I recommend it? Oh, is there someone who hasn’t seen it? For real, go watch it. It’s a romcom for the ages. Lots of nonsense and cliches. Loved it, just *one* little flaw. ALBERTOOOO!

Witch’s Court (2018): A law drama. I never watch these types of dramas. Only did it because I had a crush on Yoon HyunMin at the time, my sister made me watch it (she also had a crush on him) and I thought there was going to be way more romance. Heavy subjects, a great mom’s love and a lot of prosecutor bs.

OTP: They were cute. Wish I’d seen more of them though.

Thing I enjoyed the most: Yoon HyunMin. But the FL was awesome in her own right.

Do I recommend it? If you like law/criminal dramas and barely a hint of romance, this one is great. And justice is served at the end.

Hospital Playlist: It was an adorable, peaceful and relaxing watch, not what you’d expect from a hospital themed drama. Very healing (no pun intended lol). And I loved the songs they played! The weird thing is that I kept forgetting about it, and that’s why it took me so long to finish it.

OTP: I do have one, but not the one everyone ships: Dr Yang SeokHyung and his resident played by one awesome Ahn EunJin. She confessed, he turned her down gently, Buuu!!!. Waiting patiently for S2 and HOPE their love story develops more. Dramas shouldn’t have second seasons!

Thing I enjoyed the most: The friendship of the five besties duh

Do I recommend it? Awww but of course! if you liked the Reply Series and slice of life dramas, you will like this one. Only 12 eps but they were as long as a movie lol

WHY (minidrama) 2019: Two good friends trying to cheer up their bff who just got dumped (without any explanation hence driving him slowly into a mental breakdown and an identity crisis) by going on a Jeju vacation. In the guesthouse they’re staying, they encounter two awesome, chill and fun noonas. What you’ll see here: a moving story about heartbreak and letting go, bromance and noona romance.

OTP: While most of the time the lead was in deep heartbreak thanks to his awful ex, there was a subtle romance developing while he was healing. At the end, there’s a time jump and he’s totally in the right state of mind to completely be with her and give love another try. Lovely ending.

Thing I enjoyed the most: Jung GunJoo! AKA Dohwa from Extraordinary You!!!

Do I recommend it? Of course! It’s an adorable watch. And it only takes like 2 hours of your time, maybe less, I don’t recall. Here, you can watch it on YouTube. Also, not really a fan don’t hate me lol but there’s Hwang In Yeob as the bff of the lead. And he has a very meaningful role.

Where Your Eyes Linger (minidrama): First Korean BL drama I’ve ever watched and I’m so glad that it was a wonderful first. Given the amount of time and resources I was expecting a lot less from this but they all did a very good job. Beyond my expectations, really. Wonderful acting and such an angsty friends to lovers romance that was delightfully done. I don’t usually give out scores to dramas but omg 10/10!

OTP: THEY HAD SUCH GOOD CHEMISTRY! UGH THE ANGST

Thing I enjoyed the most: Oh, everything!

Do I recommend it? Like BL dramas and want to see more of them in kdramaland? Then YES YES YES. A thousand times YES! The reason why it’s not on my favorites’ list is because I wish it was longer.

It’s Okay to not be Okay: It had been so long since I’ve seen a KSH drama. Since his alien days lol Plus, my sister is a huge fan. Horniest kdrama of the year, for sure. Which is hilarious since the message of the whole thing was more about family. From the first episode I was waiting for the OTP to have a steamy makeout and have sex HAHAHA You know, they actually delivered, so I was happy. My review about the ending HERE

OTP: Queen MoonYoung and her horny but super restrained caretaker, KangTae. Love them.

Thing I enjoyed the most: All hail Queen Ko MoonYoung! And the best hyung, SangTae.

Do I recommend it? Yeah. Let’s be serious for a moment lmao it was a healing drama and the ending was beautiful. A few things here and there didn’t make sense though. The mom’s comeback was crazy, but meh, what are dramas without crazy? lol I guess this is not on my favorite’s list because I wasn’t as obsessed as I wish I’d been.

Was it Love?: Mamma mia, here we go again, my my, I should have resist ya! it was ALL right there but the writer didn’t have the guts to do the story right. It COULD’VE BEEN Mamma Mia, but all the potential went to waste. THE POTENTIAL!! You want to know who the dad of her daughter is? The only dude she ever slept with, her only ex! Big surprise. The writer! There, saved you the trouble. My rant on the ending here

OTP: Well, it wasn’t the leads, that’s for sure. It’s the second leads (or was he the third lead and she the second?)who ended up together, or at least it was hinted at. The female lead had way more chemistry with the one dude she was never romantically linked to, which is hilarious to me. Ugh so much wasted potential...

Thing I enjoyed the most: Gangster dude and his son! Bless them.

Do I recommend it? Jesus, NO. DON’T. Watch Mamma Mia with Meryl Streep, instead. That’s gold and it’s what they wanted to try to do for a moment here. Still wondering how I managed to finish this...

Record of Youth: Another drama I can’t believe I actually finished. A handsome model transitioning into an actor and becoming the main provider for the family that never fully supported him and had to pay for the debt of the dad that always belittled his dreams. Underdeveloped characters, a female lead that was outshined by CAMEOS of other women(in her 1 minute scene, KimHyeYoon had more chemistry with PBG), plots that went nowhere and a terrible pairing that had very little chemistry. A ranting about the finale and my wasted time, HERE

OTP: who? Ah, yeah, I guess there sort of was one... The photographer friend and the sister of the jealous friend. Their ending was ambiguous.

Thing I enjoyed the most: PBG, he carried this mess on his back.

Do I recommend it? HAHAHAHAHAHAHA No. Please, don’t watch it.

Private Lives: An orphan who was recluted to become a spy and works for a conglomerate that holds the power to decide the next president of Korea AND a con woman who wants revenge because her dad got sent to jail. They meet and fall in love and it’s the cutest thing ever but on their wedding day he misteriously disappears and... that’s it. Everything that happens after that makes zero sense. By the end I was more interested in the second leads.

OTP: TWO (but mostly the second couple) and the reason why I finished this drama at all.

Thing I enjoyed the most: Second leads. BokGi and Eduardo (yeah, I know that wasn’t his real name). I’d watch a drama of those two. Even if it was by the same writer.

Do I recommend it? Well... not really. LOL If you’re interested to know more about it, read my “recaps” of each episode HERE or read about the last ep here. You’ll understand about the same as if you were to actually watch it, but you will not waste your time. I hope? LOL

Start Up: A grandma with good intentions, a FL that lost it all as a kid, letters that weren’t really that genuine, a rich, cocky and petty jerk who wasn’t the ML (I mean by definition he had everything to be the male lead lol) and the actual ML (a genius who suffers from the biggest case of Impostor Syndrome I’ve ever seen). No one except for the FL mostly is honest. A time jump that was there just for the sake of angst and not quite done right. Also, making a business with your friends involves a whole lot of nonsense and drama. And a “love triangle” that drove the fandom to madness. And wait, the sister was the second female lead? She was more secondary than the secondary characters. This drama is seriously not what it seems at first lol

OTP: DalMi&DoSan. Adorable. The oly reason I finished this. From the moment they announced the cast and learned who the leads were, I knew I was gonna ship them. And that’s how I never get SLS lol

Thing I enjoyed the most: The answer to that question is HERE

Do I recommend it? Honestly, yeah. Just turn off your brain and never discuss it on social media. Binge it and move on with life. Not the best drama, but tbh not the worst. Well it is the worst by the writer lol Wow it sounds like I hated it, but it’s just that the fanwars really got to me haha and it’s all so recent, but I actually did love the love story and the grandma was a treasure.
