Listen, I know I said last time I wouldn't take long for my next post and I didn't deliver, so this time I'm posting 2 paradoxes in the same post to make it up to you, and hopefully I won't forget to post for another month next time

Anyways, I present to you Primordial Gene and Iron Idol, both paradoxes for some mythical pokemon because that's what I wanted the last 2 of the first batch to be. First of them is Primordial Gene, a true paradox since Deoxys isn't supposed to be a thing until more recent times.

Primordial Gene is inspired by various things, the main being the RNA World hypothesis, which states that RNA came before DNA and that was one of the things that eventually led up to the origin of life.

Another inspiration for it is the Xenomorph, yall already probably know what a Xenomorph is so I'm not gonna go into detail, but also it's based on the Ancient Astronaut conspiracy theories, saying that aliens came to Earth in ye good ol' times when humanity was young or something. Anyways, moving on with Iron Idol, the Future Paradox of Meloetta

As you can probably tell, Iron Idol is pretty much based on our queen and savior Hatsune Miku, but it's also based on other concepts such as VTubers, modern idols and electronic stuff that aid them, like microphones and speakers.

Iron Idol is also kinda based on rythm games, as the dots on its "hair" move in a similar way to games like Guitar Hero or the one with the piano tiles on mobile. And as always, here are the cries for both of them

♡ THE LOVE OF YOU... - Akito Shinonome and Rui Kamishiro x Reader

Akito:

Akito had always been confused and in awe of the Sekai. I mean, it was a dimension born of feelings, he couldn't even comprehend how that worked-

You, wonderful you. The two of you hit it off immediately, and Miku would always tease you on the very obvious crush you had on Akito. Neither of you knew he felt the same way though

In fact, he was planning on telling you that very day, but was greeted by your absence. Confused, he looked around the Sekai until he bumped into Miku. Once he asked her where you went, the sad smile on her face was enough for him to worry

"It's...Hard to explain. Here," She held out a phone, and he took it with a raised brow, "They left this for you."

He thanked her before walking off, plugging in his earbuds to the phone before pressing play on the only track on it

He was greeted by your voice. You took a deep breath before singing, and with wide eyes he realized that you were describing him. You sang about how you adored him, the sparkle of determination in his eyes, the sly grin you'd give him after a successful practice

You were a vocaloid, but you loved him with all of your heart. The song made his own heart swell, but he didn't realize its purpose until you sang a final, "I love you-" before you were cut off, apparently shutting down

He sat in silence for a while, absolutely shocked. So you...You were shut down? He would never be able to talk to you again? He would never be able to see you again?

He didn't even realize that he was crying until the first of many tears landed on his hand. He tried to wipe them away, but they kept coming, never stopping

A choked sob left him as he cradled the phone close, hoping that nobody could hear him. You were gone. And he could never tell you that he loved you back.

Rui:

Rui found the Sekai to be one of the most fascinating things in the world. A place born purely from Tsukasa's feelings was certainly an interesting place to be!

He loved visiting the Sekai whenever he could. The atmosphere was loud yet homey, and he was able to be with you

You were absolutely lovely company, and he always felt comfortable with you. Miku would cheer the two of you on, and you would always laugh her off. You both had fallen for each other though

He was going to the Sekai to ask you out on a date, only to not find you. This was a normal occurrence with how big the Sekai was, so he found Miku and asked where you were

"Oh..." An uncharacteristic frown was on her face, and Rui was immediately filled with worry. "Um...They wanted you to have this." She handed him a music box and ran off

He tilted his head at her but took it, expressing his thanks before walking to a quieter part of the Sekai

Upon winding it up, he was able to hear your voice. You were singing, and it didn't take him long to realize that you were singing about him. You sang about your love for him, how you adored listening to his rambles, how he would give you hugs before he left

Neither of you thought it was possible for a vocaloid to love, but you did. He was warm, until you sang a final "I love you-" and was cut off.

It didn't take him too long to realize what had happened. For whatever reason, you had been shut down. He...Couldn't really process it properly

A bitter laugh escaped him, and he hugged himself, tears slipping down his face. He couldn't- You couldn't- Surely you-

He sniffled, rubbing his eyes before standing up, a determined look in his eyes. He doesn't even know if it's possible to bring you back, but he would rather die trying.

Kikuo's MAWARU - A perfect mix of misery and fake happiness (rant)

Felt like doing a small kikuo rant about my fave song!

Imo, it's one of kikuo's most geniusly composed songs. Theres so many unique things about it! Stuff ive never heard before in any other song! When it comes to the sound effect mix, miku's voice mixing, the structure, the instrumental choice and sound effects! And i just love how not only the lyrics r trying to display a sort of story, but the music itself and composition also brings hints and detail about the story in a melodic way! Its not just a song about spinning as it spins you around as well. Not only singer is drunk, you are too.

The song gives off a very weird and confusing feel dosent it? It feels both painful and happy at the same time? Yup. And im not talking the Don't Look at Me That Way kind. Im talking the more chaotic intense type, where you can clearly feel the utter pain Miku is going through while "doing it with a smile", even the "what to do what to do? I fall looking at my broken heart" part has her constantly changing from misery mode to happiness mode with her voics and the melody constantly changing from upsetting to upbeat, tho most of the other parts of the song just feel like pain and happiness played at the same time mixed together into this odd chaos. I think this is a fantastic melodic way to express emotional instability and the effects of being drunk, as they are implied in the lyrics "the sentimental drunkard rages and laughes".

Not to mention, the song, unlike having repeating main and side choruses, has NINE OR TEN fucking parts... the "main" one being at last. Not only is it hella unique w great smooth transitions, but it also adds to the chaotic aspect of the song. Descend into madness, constant change of moods, a lot of emotions at once, events of storytelling.

What else? Ofc, our beloved Miku. Even tho Kikuo used normal voicebank Miku in this song, she still sounds... odd... dosen't she? Not only her voice has unknown mixing technique making her voice feel atmospheric in a sort of odd chaotic way, but she sounds... drunk? Then sounds like she's going insane at the last bit by singing w high pitch, almost like screaming. Her voice also transforms into the instrumental bit in the "dance! Dance!" Part.

Also i can't fucking tell what kinda trumpet he used in the song? He tuned it so well its unrecognizable (to me at least).

I just love it when songs display their metaphors and hidden meanings musically as well and kikuo just nails it so perfectly and uniquely in this song!!! How tf does he do that...

Despite the crowds I actually thought this was one of the most fun anime expos for me and I've been going since 2011. Though I mainly go for the artist alley and exhibit hall to buy stuff, don't really pay attention to panels so I can't say anything for those. People kept complaining about lines to get in and waited an hour but there was literally an entrance that NEVER had a line and staff was constantly telling people to go to the other entrance but I guess I can understand how confusing it is if you're not from the area. I never waited more than 5 minutes to get in. The problem was that everyone would just follow the crowds and not really look anywhere else 😭

It was hot this year but not NEARLY as bad as past years. Though I don't think they were running the air conditioning that well in exhibit hall the first 2 days bc I was on fire. The hottest it got was like 85 but I've been to cons when it was like 100s outside so it was more tolerable.

I will say the crowd vibes were super weird and people did smell bad. God especially when I went into the 18+ section 😭 luckily I had my mask on the whole weekend so that kinda helped? Exhibit hall doesn't really sell anything I care about anymore :( it's just the same demon slayer Hatsune Miku and dragon ball figures it's been for like the last 6+ years and it's kinda boring.

Artist alley had SOOOO many amazing artists. I couldn't find much aot fanart and the one booth I did find one but I already bought all their stuff before JGFUDJSJDJ.

I tried to go to cosplay meetups the first 2 days and staff did NOT know how to help people navigate to them at all. I missed a fruits basket gathering bc staff told me to go the wrong direction completely even when I showed a picture of the location :') I tried to go to a genshin meetup but the location was too small and too crowded and it created a fire hazard so they canceled it 20 mins in 🥲 aaaaand there was an aot meetup but I was so frustrated that I just gave up trying to go to them so hffhdhshchfh

I went to the 21+ area and got a couple drinks and maybe gotten a little hammered aaaaand impulsively made stupid financial decisions chdjdjfjfjfjfjvj and like....this group of guys kept trying to ask me and my friend questions and they were being uh a little sus haha 😬 (I thought I wouldn't have to deal with m*n if I dressed up like one BUT I WAS WRONG)

I BOUGHT AO MUCH SHIT YALL I saved up 2 months worth of tips for this con and I spent like...80% of that fund...🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲😭😭🥲 but WORTH IT BC the stuff I bought was so pretty aaaaaaAAA

ALSO ALSO people liked my cosplay and I was so happy. There were a lot of Yor cosplayers so I mostly stuck with Thoma for the weekend and 🥺 attention from women 🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺 loved it 🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺 I wasn't expecting ppl to ask for my ig but it happened a couple of times so I panicked and gave my art IG and TURNED OUT THEY WERE ARTISTS TOOO so that was cool!!! There were a lot of amazing cosplayers and I got too shy to ask for pics But I WISH I DID BC....THERE WERE AMAZING KUROO AND KENMA....AND XIAO AND ITTO I M DJDJDHDHDHDH and a couple of Thomas were like "AYYYY THOMA" Hehe...I didddddd get a pics with a lot Ayaka and Ayato ones too uwuOH AND CHILDE

There were def a few guys that tried to act like...idk 😭😭 so weird when I was cosplaying as Yor and just said the most random shit to me and all I did was laugh uncomfortably gjfjdjdjsj

Artist alley was crowded as fuck though and the people were SOOOO pushy at some points. Like not even saying excuse me or anything...I got cut in line a lot and I don't like to be confrontational but the people I went with were def getting annoyed.

Overall though I a had a lot of fun. I keep seeing people say people weren't checking vaccine cards and stuff but at least the first day they were pretty diligent about checking them, and people would boot you out if you didn't have a wristband signifying you were confirmed already.

BUT YAAAAA the complaints Abt the crowd and lines is like...kinda whatever to me like I didn't think people would be surprised? AX is notorious for the crowds and especially after 2 years this was gonna be the worst one for that. I'm probably gonna go back next year bc it's one of the ones that I enjoy the most like there's SOOOO many amazing cosplayers on a much bigger scale than a lot of other cons and the artists that get in are so talented. I'm REALLY hoping I can grab a table FOR SURE next year 😭 WELL SEE YEAH idk if you read this far wow I am sorry LMAO

The Hamilton fandom scares me. Like, I know some people (see: Jam and Tori) who like the musical and are mostly chill. But then there are the toxic fans who idolise the historical figures and *shivers* the uwu turtle boi thing just like. If you wanna make it fanon in musical sure BUT HE WAS NOT HISTORICALLY OBSESSED WITH TURTLES. As for the “soft” part it’s just...he was kind and loving and was sweet to his sibling but he was pretty reckless in battle, he didn’t need people to defend him or stand up for him most of the time.

Honestly I don’t see why so many people hate miku binder jefferson. Like it’s based off of the musical and I’ve seen worse stuff but it’s somehow become a tumblr meme i guess.

Oh yeah and some Hamilfans try to defend him for cheating on his wife etc and yall?? Wut?? I can understand defending him continuing his relationship with Laurens because, well, polyamory, and he couldn’t exactly tell her, but defending what he did to Maria?? Nope. Just-no.

So basically, some fans are chill, the fandom as a whole scares me, so I’ll stick to amrev thanks

Avengers in a Zoom Meeting

Steve: “is that a new energy drink?”

beyond confused, and becomes frustrated because he’s always punctual. tony helps him figure it out eventually, but he’s hacked the program so now Steve's virtual background is permanently a picture of nick dressed as Hatsune Miku

Tony: purposefully leaves himself off mute so he can talk back. he’s the reason why fury permanently changes the meeting settings (tony hacks the meeting and turns his mic back on anyway) is the one who goofs off the most if they were to do break out rooms.

Natasha: is on her phone the whole time, and she and Bruce zoom together. books it once Bruce spills his coffee cause she knows what’s coming. the team has a zoom intervention to put an end to her shopping after the amazon mask incident.

Bruce: suggested zoom in the first place. has been doing zoom since before quarantine and is assigned to help nick set things up. he’s the most well behaved, and would be the one to say “guys focus” in break out rooms. onetime he spilled a fresh cup of coffee on his crotch and hulked tf out. unfortunately, the recording of that zoom meeting has made its rounds as social media and the teams facial expressions from the video are now popular reaction pics.

Clint: zooms from home. gives everyone a glimpse into his family life. sometimes his kids will sit around him and color or talk. “daddy why does Mr. Fury have an eyepatch?” sometimes nick will engage with the kids and let them talk during the meetings. leaves the meeting as soon as Sam starts messing around.

Thor: he does one of two things. watches tiktoks the entire time or doesn’t join the meeting period. one meeting he’s cracking up and nick gets angry. “thor is there something you’d like to share with the rest of us? are you gonna keep sitting there laughing and being disruptive?” shows them #hulkout is trending and essentially people are recording themselves pretending to hulk out during their zoom meetings. Bruce is mortified.

Loki: does not attend the meetings ever....and the one time he’s forced to sit in on one, he complains and tells everyone to shut up the whole time. “you mewling quims I have episodes of greys anatomy to catch up on! are you all done inconveniencing me yet?”

Sam: he and tony moan and talk loudly the WHOLE time. they are disruptive and say the wackiest things. “I just took the greatest sh*t of my life” one time Sam joins the meeting dressed as nick and mimics/echoes everything he says. Bucky is embarrassed to be in the same room with him at first, and then he joins in on the antics.

Bucky: sits with Sam, because he can’t figure the program out and honestly has no desire to. is annoyed with Sam's tomfoolery at first but soon he, tony, and Sam become the reason why nick ultimately stops the zoom meetings all together. one time he and Sam quoted that salami lid tiktok for 30 mins before realizing the others had left. “Da salami lid (da salami lid), Ain gon fit (won't fit), So da salami lid won't fit da salami lid (lid),Da salami ain gon fit like dat (da lid),So da salami lid (da salami lid) en is uh salami lid.”

Peter: he HATES zoom with a passion. baby is tired. he has to zoom all day for school on a set schedule and now he has to zoom for this too? logs in and then takes a nap the whole time. accidentally leaves his mic on and his snores interrupt the meeting. honestly, he doesn’t care either. peter parker is over it. periodt.

Wanda: shows up late with iced coffee. eventually nick stops letting her in, which she’ll just go sit with Pietro if that’s the case. honestly, she doesn’t care at all. definitely is on her phone or reading, and will get up and leave but leave her computer running. stops turning her camera on altogether.

Pietro: leaves to go get food and eats on camera. asks really stupid questions in the chat, and joins in on Sam, Bucky, and Tony's antics. Coulson stops letting them in the meetings, and they end up going to join someone else in their room to be disruptive there.

Vision: corrupts the meetings so he can go back to watching parks and rec and the office. doesn’t really join at all unless he’s forced to.

Nick: “IF YALL DONT SIT DOWN AND STFU I WILL ZOOM YOUR ASS INTO THE AFTER LIFE!” if you think peter is tired, fury is deceased. 100000000000/10 done. yells at Steve for having the totally edited pic of him dressed as miku as his background. he eventually gives up trying to hold meetings or talk and let’s Coulson do it. peter writes him a thank you/sorry note cause he eventually feels bad for sleeping

Coulson: dresses up as characters from books and shows and has matching as virtual backgrounds. he dressed up as Snape one day and Bucky got flashbacks to his winter soldier hair. definitely tries to make it fun for everyone. eventually snaps and yells at everyone for being rude.

Ryoko also points out that Hibiki’s relic is fusing with herself at an alarming rate. This is important to keep in mind.

Meanwhile, at night.

Miku is posing in the motherly “you done fucked up, where have you been young lady” position. A cold scolding is coming.

“you can come in. are you worried im gonna bite? you suplexed a car. that shouldn’t be an issue anymore.”

“miku, i.... i wanted to tell you.... but.... the plot wouldn’t let me, miku....”

“should’ve told the plot to fuck off anyway. now you’re gonna live with that. you’re sleeping... on the bottom bunk.”

“b.... b..... b...... b.... b...... bottom bunk...?”

They slept separately that night. God, this is so stupid. All of this is so goddamned stupid. “I’m so mad at you even though you saved my life.” This is just so. AUGH. THIS IS DUMB. KANEKO WRITE BETTER ANGST THAT MAKES SENSE THAT ISN’T THIS.

Meanwhile, far away from this garbage...

Chris, having been evicted from Fine’s McMansion, wanders the streets of mumblemumble aimlessly. Don’t be fooled by her new fancy dress. Basically, she’s a combat-competent hobo.

“no food. no home. no victories. this sucks. whyd you do it, fine? we coulda been great together. but no. ya fired me. now i look like im prancing the red light district with a highly advanced superweapon around my neck.”

“no... hibiki’s to blame. ever since that genderbent little mac showed up to fight me, it’s been all downhill. fine thought me a laughstock because i couldnt take out her oversized boxing gloves, and now she beat me while i had nehushtan. god... i wish i never met that damn hamster faced chubby cheeked nerd.”

“wait, whats that crying”

Chris spies two kids talking to each other, one of them crying. Chris immediately makes an assumption, believing the big bro is bullying his sis.

“hey! stop nicking her lunch money, twerp”

Chris currently is a firm believer of corporeal punishment.

But the sister deflects the blow. Chris can’t even defeat children right now. Truly, this is a record low for her. You know you blew it when even kids are schooling you on basic morality. She then tells the little girl to stop crying, ironically mirroring her brother.

The infamous double T-Pose maneuver. Chris, you might as well get a shovel and start digging your own grave.

“i keep doing bad things badly, and now im doing good things badly... when fine said i was bad... did she just mean im not talented?”

Chris, finally, does a good thing and helps these kids find their parents.

“yeah. hibiki saved a kid when she got her gear. guess what? bam! im saving two! that’s fifty percent more kid per kid saved. take that, weirdo.”

The kids call her out on Chris singing unconsciously, and Chris gets flustered over it. Dawwwwww.

Chris manages to get them to safety to their Dad...

...while brutally lying about it, making Chris look like a predator. There’s a very crushing irony at play here, given who Chris used to serve.

“ugggggggggggggggghhhhhh hes not even gonna payyyyy meeeeeee why the fuck did i dooooo thiiiiiiissssss”

“hey, you know. you kids have a really nice relationship with one another. care to give me tips on how to be an empathetic human being capable of making friends?”

“maybe we’re born with it”

“maybe its maybeline”

“maybeline...”

Meanwhile...

A cold wind blows through Lydian Apartment 69-L. (I don’t actually know if that’s their room number, I just made it up.)

“jesus take the wheel, because i’m jumping out the passenger seat to save this current wreck of a relationship”

“miku please i saved your life, doesnt that count for anything”

“you already killed me the moment you lied. also im taking the bottom bunk so i dont have to see your face coming down the ladder.”

“miku you cant hide in this depression den forever. i know i hurt you and im sorry for it, but please understand i literally couldnt do it. you saw there were punches and violence and stuff... i didnt want you tied to that...”

“what was that? i cant hear your apologies over my incredibly loud snoring. SNOOOOOOORE. SNOOOOOOOORE. SNOOO- fuck, i just swallowed my spit, fuck”

“i hope this cocoon of displeasure you’ve made for yourself lets you erupt into a butterfly of acceptance so i can fly with you again.”

“......thats not fair. you cant say those beautiful metaphors and get away with it. let me be mad... sniff... let me be mad...”

Sadness wafts in the den of lies Hibiki has been forced into.

No music plays. There is only heartbreak, and woe.

In the midst of this pain...

Ryoko loredumps about how the Symphogears work and are immune to the noise on her blog, ‘hornyonmainforscience.org’, her hybrid science journal slash kink zone. It’s mostly a recap with some pretty good soft techno beats in it.

“i made a custom brew of red bull, five hour energy drink, coffee, and cream. i call it gamer girl piss.”

“damn. that’s some good piss.”

She muses about how Hibiki has managed to break the limitations of her Symphogear, making her a totally unique specimen. Wait, where have we heard this before...?

Hey... Ryoko... let’s just... cool it a bit with the Hibiki pictures... come on...

Ryoko touches upon the Custodians and the Curse of Babel. We ain’t touching that shit until later, because that’s another shitfuck box of crazy just ready to jump us in a dark alleyway to rob us of our wits.

Back to Lydian:

“miku whats the answer to the first three multiple choice questions”

“B. A. D.”

“oh, thanks. huh, BAD.”

“yeah. you are.”

“mmm. taste likes dissapointment. just like my life.”

“hey table for two haha get it cause there’s two chairs and miku for the love of god, please, forgive me”

“ive surgically removed my eyes and drew eyelashes over them with sharpie so i dont have to see your bird bangs.”

Even Hibiki’s meal is judging her. Mainly for not eating it. Fucking look at this. God, that looks amazing. Fuck, why did I write this while I was hungry.

“miku you cant do this forever. i might die and youll end up crying on my tombstone going ‘oh god, why, oh god’, and really, i cant live with myself if that happens. mainly because id already be dead by then”

The Anime Janai crew show up to break some icebergs with a goddamn sledgehammer. As the self-aware Gods of this realm, they got very tired of this poor display of angst, and have decided to directly intervene.

Nevermind. They came for her kneecaps, and they most certainly got them.

PLEASE. I’M BEGGING YOU. END THIS GARBAGE PLOT THREAD.

“look. imma lay down the facts. yall are gay. yall are in love. yall are angry for the wrong reasons. its nobody’s fault here but the writer. so please kiss and make up. pretty please.”

“kaneko... you fool... we all know what the original sin is. its your hack writing making this stupidity in the first place. let the pencil go, asshole!”

They bring up the fact that Hibiki isn’t doing her work and wonder if she has a job on the side, which isn’t allowed by the school. Miku gets annoyed and bails, with Hibiki running after her. Unfortunately, Miku runs faster...

“oh god miku not the rooftop whatever you’re thinking just dont do it! please!”

“no. i came here to angst, since this is the Maximum Angst Zone.”

“i..... okay! okay, that’s fair! rooftops are the perfect place to look sad while getting proper air ventilation, thats fine”

It really would have been better played if it was played off that she felt hurt not because of the lie, but because she felt like she could have helped her better having known the truth, and it being a self-loathing sort of scenario for not being there better for her and not fully understanding the risk at play.

But no, instead, we get this.

I, and I imagine many other players, feel the need to take a break from magic for the foreseeable future, because fuck biphobia, terfs, and bad writing.

That said, it can be daunting to pick up a non-magic the gathering card game. Magic is of course top dog in that world and has been forever. That said, here are some of my personal recommendations for CCG/TCG to try out.

SHADOWVERSE: I hate heathstone. I find it goes too far in on the RNG and legendaries and such. Shadowverse is a digital card game with similarities to Hearthstone that, in my experience, lowers that aspect of the game significantly. The game keeps the core Hero/Archetype aspect of heathstone deck building, as well as adding an interesting twist in the form of the “Evolve” mechanic. Additionally, the game features beautiful artwork, full Voice Acting, and numerous crossover campaigns with properties such as Street Fighter and Zombie Land Saga. Shadowverse is free on Steam.

YUGIOH: yall probably know what yugioh is. that said, I don’t personally recommend competitive yugioh. The games pace is... excessive in my humble opinion. That said, the game has a diverse array of archetypes and playstyles that make casual yugioh a spectacular time. for competitive minded folks, the meta game does offer a challenge, even if its not my thing. I would also like to point competitive folks toward Goat Format. It’s a yugioh format that uses older cards with a much grindier playstyle and a diverse metagame, and is potentially more in line with a magic players tastes. If interested in any of the above, search YgoPRO, a free program where you can try out yugioh and playtest decks andplaythegameforfree but piracy is bad so don’t tell them i said anything.

POKEMON: Pokemon TCG is madness but they have a free app so take a crack at it.

WEISS SCHWARTZ: I don’t know anything about actually playing this game, but it does have actual Hatsune Miku in it, as well as being like 99% crossovers in general. If you want a game where Madoka Kaname fights Joker from Persona 5, here you go.

TEPPEN: okay, so. Teppen is a digital card game by Capcom. this shit is intense. It uses an ATB system instead of turns, so both players play at the same time and creature combat runs off timers. The game is fast paced and a damn good time, and is the only card game I personally play on mobile. Also Jill Valentine is a Player Character/Deck in it. Highly recommended.
