In this commentary, I will talk about new details about the story, such as what the future looks like in this universe and clearing up some lore.

This was the original plan from the very start of when I made Coach. Look, here's some proof, the plush I had commissioned of him has a cutie mark!

Now, I know I've moved on and made Coach a human and his own character for my current main project, My Magic Grandpa, but that was because I loved him as a character so much that I couldn't just end him after Discord Whooves.

I’m a Magical Girl’s Familiar?!” (@magicalgirlsfamiliar) Two of which I want to start updating in 2024 and one that's been updating for a few years now.
OUAC has been around for a very long time, it’s a collection of familiar but twisted fairy tales and it has been on hiatus for years because of my other projects taking priority. I'm excited to be bringing it back.
WTF?MGF meanwhile is an adult dark comedy magical girl comic combined with an apocalyptic outbreak scenario. Its pilot will launch in January of 2024 and the comic will begin properly in 2025.
“Bedeviled Dotty” has been going for a few years now, and is a story about a magical anthro rabbit who makes a deal with a kitsune in order to obtain the love of her professor.

Now about The Doctor version of Coach! When he first regenerated, he was ecstatic to have a small nose!
Not only that but he had a new appreciation for life and took on a life to the fullest attitude. He also cast away the identity of 'The Doctor', letting himself become his own as 'Coach' because he considers himself a referee to the universe and a sort of life coach to whoever he encounters. (Those that can stand him of course) He loves interacting with others, but he can be impatient and snippy at times and quite pushy without meaning to. He also has a hard time reading others' emotions, and can only think in context of how he would feel. This is because in this life he has something akin to ASD that he's unaware of, and it's a huge challenge for him because of how much he wants to help and entertain others.
He likes to use sports words and phrases in his vocabulary, which would be his quirk. He also collects sports equipment and uses them for experiments and inventions, though he doesn't really like sports themselves.
One of the last things Derpy said to him before she died was that she had no regrets, and neither should he. So in his next life, as Coach, he took this very seriously and is always moving forward with no regrets. This can make him seem heartless at times because of how easily he leaves things behind, but he always needs to be on the move and needs to change things up because he's teaming with chaos magic.
That's right, the chaos energy stayed with him, but it manifested in a more controllable form because he became a unicorn. He can't use normal unicorn spells, a lot of his magic has a mind of its own. It will often do as asked, but it will do it in random ways. 'Open a locked door' for example could mean unlocking the door, or turning the door into popcorn. One of his first magic mishaps was transmogrifying his sonic screwdriver into a golf club. It still functions the same, just has a different shape now.
Coach spent about 60 years exploring on his own and taking on temporary companions that he'd keep a distance from so chances of anything bad happening to them would be less. But he eventually longs to see his Grandaughter, Tootsie Flute, and wants to take her on adventures with him, feeling like it would be a good do-over from the old Doctor's life. He fondly calls her Suzie because of reminiscing about the memories of Susan from the 1st Doctor days. While Suzie is often exasperated with him, she is also fascinated with him and the things he shows her. She has to keep their adventures a secret though, because Coach is scared to face his old family again and disappoint them. He doesn't want to see them without being able to understand them any more, it would break his hearts.
In order to take Suzie on adventures with him, they find a rogue changeling to replace her at home.
Speaking of changelings, he keeps in contact with [Tantamount Doctor], who has since started his own hive and is now a Royal. He gets much adored offerings of cheese from Coach.
The Doctor also never really felt like there was a right time to approach The Master’s daughter, Eighth Note. He kept feeling like it would ruin her otherwise good life to introduce her to time and space like that. She grew up to be a nurse in a maternity ward, her beautiful voice soothing babies as she would sing to them. Perhaps she has a little hypnotic influence from her father?
But Coach meanwhile with his no regrets attitude charged right in to take her on as a temporary companion to show her the ropes of being a Time Lord and having a TARDIS of her own. Needless to say, she’s trouble for Coach, as she can be a huge tease and she enjoys flustering the poor guy who just doesn’t want the Master to come back from the grave to kill him. It’s all in good fun for her and never serious, though, so nothing of an intimate nature really happens between them.
Finally, whenever Coach regenerated which wouldn't be for a long time, it would be because the chaos magic would become too unstable and the only way he can stay alive is to regenerate into a draconequus. Which gives us -drumroll-
Pandemonium!
Pandemonium is on the chaotic good alignment and he finds a way to bring back Gallopfrey and allow the true pony Doctor and Master to exist. He playfully antagonizes them and tries to keep them on a good path as best he can.
And that's pretty much how the whole thing ends!
When I started Discord Whooves, I was in a pretty dark place. I was bitter, angry, feeling like I had to fill peoples' expectations without really having anything special of my own. Discord Whooves started as a vent blog because A. The Brony fandom's constant pressure on me as a well known voice actor for Derpy, which made me bitter about her, B. Because I was upset I was getting known more for my voice than my main talent, drawing, on top of feeling dysphoric about my feminine voice, and C. The expectations that were on me reflected on how I acted, and I wanted to do something dark without my old name attached to it to prove I could do something interesting besides PG rated radio plays. I gained a lot more popularity than I thought I ever would, and had so much support, and as JitterbugJive I got to be myself without any expectations. It helped me come out eventually not only as BaldDumboRat, but as a transgender male.
Popularity sadly got to my head, it caused a lot of stress and a lot of outbursts and when I started my mod blog I was a very calm person who brushed things off. But more and more people started to pick fights with me and I felt the need to defend myself. This was also during a time I made another vent blog that was for dealing with the abuse I'd been through in the past, so I was facing a lot of demons at the time and could be triggered easily.
And then I had my bi-polar manic episode that made me literally insane for months, which threw me in to a year long depression that destroyed my art for a good while (It looked really really awful during that time, a lot of people noticed it) but the good thing about it was that it got me in touch with a therapist and got me diagnosed not only bi-polar 1 but PTSD, which was a shock to me but it made a lot of sense. I got a PTSD service dog, anxiety medication, bi-polar medication, and while the year of depression sucked I slowly got to pull myself back together and reflect on who I'd been. With anxiety meds I wasn't getting as angry any more, and therapy was helping me properly cope with the past and with the popularity issues. I wanted to be a better person, and I became one.
I even decided to take on a career path where I could help other people like me and like Discord Doctor, becoming a peer wellness specialist to help those experiencing mental illness and addiction. I use my own experiences to connect with them, give them hope, and show them they are not alone and there are people who do understand what they're going through who will help them. The training I went through ended up changing a lot of aspects of how Discord Whooves was treated moving forward, giving him a more realistic journey and showing people a very true message of hope and recovery. And the only reason I'm where I am now is because of experiencing that first psychotic episode that made me reach out for help.
I had two psychotic episodes in the span of Discord Whooves’ run, and they gave me a first hand experience of what it’s like to completely lose control of your own actions. I hurt people, I caused a lot of damage, and I had to face the consequences of those actions. And because of this, I had personal knowledge of what it’s like to come out of such a horrible state, and all the guilt and fear that comes with it. The Doctor’s journey suddenly became so much more personal to me, because I’d been there. And his journey of recovery is to show that despite everything, there’s still hope. Recovery is possible.
Something else my mania did was lead me to the idea of My Magic Grandpa, because my head came up with so many crazy ideas that I wanted to use and I was looking for a lot of inspiration during my depression that it all started coming together. And thus Coach and Suzie evolved into humans in their own story, because I didn't entirely want Discord Whooves to end where Coach and Suzie only just begins. And now they can continue on in their own way, in my own way, and I can let go of a blog about depression and anger and instead make a story about growth and inspiration.
In a way, it's like I regenerated with The Doctor, and I hope people can appreciate that and continue to support me.
I want to thank all the people who have worked with me on this project, be it for crossover, to contribute guest art, to Warden and Lauren and a handful of other people who helped me write the story and brought fantastic characters into it. I couldn’t have gotten this far without you, and the story would be in a much worse place now if it weren’t for everyone’s help.
Thank you all for staying with me on this 12 year journey. Looking back, I've made some dumb mistakes, but I learned a lot from them and your dedication helped me stick to my guns and end my first large scale project! It hit some bumps but dammit I made it happen and I am so happy I did! Now I hope people will check out my other projects that were linked above. I will still produce pony content on @the-character-lounge on occasion when I have the time and motivation.

Summary: You keep seeing a very handsome stranger every Friday at happy hour with your work friends. He saves you from a potential dangerous situation

Before you had even set one foot into the bar today, you felt his presence.
That gut feeling you had all day while you were at work, a combination of butterflies and knots danced and twisted around in your stomach as you kept glancing at the time, waiting for the moment you could clock out so you could go and meet your friends for your usual Friday after-work drink.
For the past month, you had noticed him. The way his long dexterous fingers wrapped around the glass of bourbon, the way his throat moved up and down as the amber liquid trickled down his throat, and the clenching of his teeth as his drink hit his stomach.
He was so handsome, mysterious, and sexy as fuck. His eyes looked like two pieces of onyx that shined when the dim lights of the bar hit them just right and you tried your hardest not to seem like you were staring at him but he probably knew you were.
Every woman in that place stared at him. How could they not? Between his handsome face, the fancy suit and tie, those eyes you could get lost in, and a smile that made you weak in the knees, you were irresistibly drawn to him. He could have his pick of any woman but you were surprised that every woman that threw themselves at him, he turned them all down.
Why?
Actually, you didn’t care why he turned them down. You only cared that he did turn them down and you didn’t have to watch him leave with someone that wasn’t you but you were too shy to even think of speaking to someone of his caliber.
All of those thoughts disappeared as soon as you saw your friends waiting for you. You were there to have a good time with them, not to gawk at the handsome man in the fancy suit. They had saved you a seat and it happened to be near Mr. Fancy Pants’ table.
Your gut never lied; he was there already.
He was drinking with a few other guys also dressed in fancy suits. Your heart jumped from your chest into your throat and you managed to catch a glimpse of him before he could return your gaze although he probably didn’t even look away from his friends.
“I’m bringing someone for you next week, y/n.” Your friend Jenna said.
Your mind was somewhere else and you were staring off into space so you didn’t exactly hear her.
“What?” You replied.
She glared at you, pointed and asked, “You didn’t pay attention to a word I just said, did you.”
You felt bad and apologized.
“I’m sorry, Jenna. I guess I’m a little distracted.” You replied.
Every woman in the bar had a crush on Mr. Fancy Pants, but you didn’t let it show that you did too. It was difficult but you acted like he wasn’t even there. If there was a way for you to become invisible so no one would see you ogling him, you would do it in a heartbeat.
Stolen glances would have to do…for now.

The following Friday, your standing date with your friends was rapidly approaching and you were nervous about the guy Jenna said she was bringing for you. She said his name is Tyler and he is a personal trainer/boxer at the gym that she and her husband go to. Every time you heard the name “Tyler,” two words popped into your head…Fight Club.
“…And could you try not to mention Fight Club when you meet him? I knew exactly what you were thinking when I told you his name was Tyler.” Said Jenna.
You shrugged and said, “Ok, but you know that happens when I get nervous. I just start quoting movies or blurt out song lyrics. I can’t help it. It’s who I am.” You said with a slight chuckle and batting your eyelashes.
It almost sounded like Jenna didn’t want you to be yourself but she wanted you to be someone else when talking to Tyler but you would try to keep your movie quotes to a minimum, although you couldn’t make any guarantees.
He was nice enough, good looking, and seemed like he enjoyed his job. But he was a little full of himself, dull and didn’t seem like the brightest crayon in the box, nothing like the real object of your affection, Suit & Tie. Everyone in the room was drawn to him.
Without saying a word, he commanded your attention and always seemed in charge of everything. That kind of power over people turned you on, it sent a restless shiver down your spine, and a sudden warmth brushed across your cheeks.
Your blind date, however, droned on and on about the gym, his clients, some of them famous people, which didn’t impress you in the slightest. Your mind wandered, thinking about if Suit & Tie’s taste in bourbon was impeccable like his taste in suits.
Your desire to taste the bourbon on his lips kept getting stronger with every sip he took. The words coming out of Tyler’s mouth were not registering and it sounded like he was speaking underwater. That’s how little you were paying attention to what he was saying.
There was something about Tyler that wasn’t sitting right with you, though. He put out kind of a weird vibe but you couldn’t put your finger on exactly what it could be. Your intuition has never betrayed you before and you didn’t think it would start now.
Setting your empty glass onto the bar, you told Tyler you needed to use the ladies’ room and said you would order another beer when you got back. Emerging from the bathroom, you were startled to see who was standing in front of you. Mr. Fancy Pants. Your stomach lurched upward toward your throat before settling back down and he wasted no time starting the conversation.
“You have a date tonight, I see.” He said softly with a warm smile.
He noticed that he scared you.
“I’m so sorry, I didn’t mean to scare you.” He apologized and extended his hand for you to shake. “Billy Russo…nice to meet you.”
Shaking his hand, you replied, “OH! I’m y/n, it’s really nice to meet you Billy. And yeah it’s—it’s a blind date.”
Billy moved in closer, caging you in against the wall down the long and narrow hallway. The scent of his spicy cologne floated past your nose and he placed his hand against the wall just above your head. He was even more handsome up close.
“Do you like him?” He asked in a serious tone as the line of his mouth tightened a fraction more.
Not really knowing how to respond, you stumbled over your words at first but managed to pull yourself together long enough to answer him.
“Oh…well…I dunno,” You had started to say. “Actually…I feel like there’s just something off about Tyler but I don’t know what it is.” You whispered.
Billy’s endless brown eyes stared into yours. He looked…angry but you weren’t frightened.
“You felt that, huh?” He replied.
Nervously, you nodded.
“Yeah, I felt that too and confirmed it when I saw him slip something into the fresh beer that’s waiting for you on the bar.” He said through clenched teeth.
You covered your mouth in disbelief.
“WHAT?! I purposely didn’t order another beer yet so I could watch it being poured.” You asked in a scared tone.
“Look, I know you don’t know me but I don’t want anything to happen to you because, well…I” Billy trailed off. “Do you trust me?”
Strangely enough, you did. You trusted him like you’ve known him for years.
“Y-yes, I do…Billy.” You answered.
The corners of his mouth turned up into a sly smile.
“Good, because I’ve kinda developed a little crush on you in the four weeks I’ve been comin’ in here. I keep suggesting this place to my team, hopin’ I’d get to see you.” He whispered in your ear, his hand still pressed against the wall, and his slight New York accent peeking through.
His words went straight to your core and instantly goosebumps peppered across your skin as the scent of bourbon escaped his lips when he spoke.
“Really?” You asked, shyly.
Biting down on his lower lip, he nodded.
“Well…I may have a little crush on you too.” You said with a slight smile.
Your hands trembled as you reached for his tie. Sliding it through your fingers, you looked up at him through your long dark lashes, desperately wanting him to kiss you and not caring that you just officially met him a few minutes ago.
Billy Russo was the one person in the entire bar that you felt like you could trust wholeheartedly and that included the trust you had in your co-workers and friends. It was hard to explain but everything about him just felt right.
Billy had inched close enough for the two of you to share the same air, causing you to swallow hard before he spoke again.
“I have wanted to kiss you every time I’ve seen you smile.” He said slowly as he grazed your cheek with his knuckles and tucked a stray hair behind your ear, away from your face.
Billy’s lips ghosted over yours as you asked with a smile, “Then why haven’t you yet?”
Flashing that million-dollar smile, he gently cupped your cheeks and drew your face closer to his before his lips were pressed firmly against yours. They tasted like vanilla with a mixture of sweetness and bite as he continued to kiss you a little harder now. Your stomach dropped when his body pressed up against you and your hands migrated to his raven colored hair.
His kisses were even better than you imagined they would be.
Breathlessly, his name fled from your lips as he kissed up and down the side of your neck. You completely lost yourself in the moment before snapping back to reality and remembered about Tyler, your friends, and the fact that no one has been down this hallway since you came out of the ladies’ room.
“Billy…no one’s come down here looking for either one of us.” You said.
He pulled back and said with a devilish grin, “Oh I got a guy at the end of the hallway preventing anyone from coming down here. I didn’t want any interruptions before I could tell you what that asshole did to your drink.”
“Shit…I keep forgetting about that.” You said, pressing your palm to your forehead.
Billy smirked again. “I’ll take that as a compliment, pretty eyes. Have dinner with me.” He commanded.
“Are you requesting or demanding?” You asked with a warm smile.
He leaned in to kiss you again.
“Please?” Asked Billy.
Without any hesitation, you replied, “Well since you asked nicely…yes, I’d love to Mr. Fancy Pants.”
Billy started to laugh.
“Mr. Fancy Pants, huh.” Said Billy.
You shrugged.
“Well, I didn’t know your name so that’s just how I referred to you in my head.” You said with a slight chuckle. “Suit & Tie was another one I used.”
He laughed at that one too.
“Well, I like both of them.” He said.
Just as he finished his sentence, a voice boomed from down the hall.
“Hey Bill!”
Billy yelled back.
“Yeah, what is it Frankie?!”
“You done warnin’ Miss Pretty Eyes about that fuckin’ scumbag yet?! Says he needs to use the bathroom.” He said, his voice dripping with disdain.
You narrowed your eyes slightly as the corners of your mouth curled into a smile.
“Pretty Eyes? You’ve told other people about the nickname, I see.” You said to Billy.
Billy winked at you and replied to his friend.
“Go ahead, Frankie. Let him down here and then you can watch me work!” Yelled Billy, with a devilish grin.
He was breathless with anger. Clenching his teeth, you watched as Billy’s hand balled into a fist until his knuckles shown white. The same knuckles that were gently brushing your cheek a few moments ago were getting ready to connect with Tyler’s face.
“You’re gonna hurt him, aren’t you.” You said nervously; your hands shaking slightly.
Billy kissed you on the forehead and replied, “Tyler’s walkin’ in to his own personal Fight Club. I’m gonna make sure he’ll think twice before doing that to someone else, y/n.”
The reference to Fight Club made you laugh. Movie references randomly popped into your head at any given time. It appeared that they randomly popped into Billy’s head also. This guy just might be your person.
“Ah, you forgot the first rule of Fight Club, Mr. Russo!” You chuckled a little. “So, do you beat people up professionally orrrrr?” You asked sarcastically.
He gave you another wicked smile and said, “We can talk about that at dinner and then you can remind me what the rules of Fight Club are.”
Immediately after he started walking down the hall, Tyler began running his mouth, telling Billy to get away from me, and “hope he’s ready to have his ass kicked.” When he got close, Tyler took a couple swings at him but missed and Billy proceeded to show him what happens to guys who mess with other people’s drinks.
Shoving Tyler out of the back door, Billy bloodied him enough to where you knew he’d never do that to anyone ever again and had the bartender call the police. When they dumped the beer out, there was some white residue along the bottom of the glass.
“Hey, he took swings at me first. I was just defending myself.” Said Billy, after being asked why Tyler’s face looked like a mangled piece of meat.
Bar patrons and Frank had watched Tyler swing first so they corroborated Billy’s story that he was “defending himself” and Jenna apologized for trying to set you up with such a creep. It wasn’t her fault; how could she have known? But she still felt pretty bad about the whole thing.
“I promise, I’ll never try and set you up again. I’m not very good at it, apparently.” She said, her voice heavy with sarcasm.
“Well maybe if this works out, you won’t have to set me up again.” You said.
Watching Billy talk to the police, you felt a sense of relief, and it scared you to think of what would have happened if he wasn’t there. If he wasn’t watching at that exact moment, something terrible could have happened to you.
Billy had finished talking with the cops when you rushed over to him, crashed into his chest and wrapped your arms tightly around his torso. The shock of it all had worn off and you were left thinking about all of the bad things that could have happened.
He was surprised but returned your embrace as tears streaked down your face.
“Hey, hey it’s ok, y/n. It’s ok. You’re safe.” He whispered against the top of your head.
“Thank you, Billy.” You said with a hitch in your voice, trying not to get your tears on his shirt.
You just kept thanking him over and over again. You had to make sure he knew just how grateful you were to him for today.
“I’ll never let anything bad happen to you…pretty eyes. You can trust me.” Said Billy with a slight smile.
His voice was calm and smooth like warm honey. He soothed you and reassured you that you were alright. Billy’s long arms wrapped around you, his body was a warm cradle for yours, and you fit perfectly against him.
“I know I can, Billy. I don’t know how I know…but I do.” You said as the corners of your mouth curled into a shy smile.
Brushing his beard with your thumbs, you leaned in to kiss him again. Instinctively, you knew there was something off about Tyler but at the same time, your gut told you there was something about Billy Russo that fit just right.
You would just have to remember to really listen to that inner voice from now on when it tells you something important, whether it’s bad or very…very…good.

UPDATE! New deadline: 20 August (Sunday)
PedroStories 1000 followers celebration
PedroStories hit 1000 followers in May, around the same time the blog had its 2nd birthday, so we decided to celebrate it with the fandom’s writers and readers!
We prepared with a few general quotes, other quotes from Pedro and his characters and with some fanfiction tropes. You don’t have to stick to the character whose quote you choose – actually, we encourage you to mix and match any of them as creatively as you want! The celebration starts today and lasts until 20 August!
Please read the rules carefully, then you will find the list of prompts under the cut.
Rules
We welcome pairings with readers/characters of any gender, non-romantic pairings or even fics with no pairings. 💚 The rating can be anything from general to explicit.
Choose at least one quote from any of the quotes lists (you can use more prompts in one fic) and choose at least one trope. You can write as many fics as you want using these prompts!
It’s not necessary to let us know what prompts you’ve chosen! Just let your creativity flow - this challenge is completely open!
Please mention in your post that your work is for @pedrostories’ celebration and use the special tag #pedrostories1k, just so we can track and queue every single entry.
Please post your work until 20 August – we will track the special tag until that day, and in a few days we create a masterlist of all the fanfictions. I was very intrigued, actually— I quickly became obsessed after I saw the gay-ass lightcone. Aventio? ...Yeah, it was over for me. In honor of spooky season, sweater weather, and all things autumn, I'm hosting my first writing challenge! I started writing nearly a year ago because I was inspired by the beauty of the season, and I thought why not organize something where others could join in and celebrate the many aspects that make this time the best.
For the challenge, I'd like you to incorporate some fall vibes and activities into a fic or moodboard. It can be anywhere from taking a stroll down a leafy street with your fictional fave, baking together, cozying up by the fire, wearing their flannel, visiting a pumpkin patch, or watching a scary movie; anything that reminds you of this enchanting time of year plus a little catch I’ll describe below 🍂🎃🧡
This writing challenge will open today and has no deadline.

Hi Steph, how do I get people to care about my fic? I know it isn’t about hits and kudos but I can’t help but feel demotivated to write more and see it as a reflection on me that I don’t get that many. I have even stopped writing for a few years and every time I have an idea I think it isn’t worth it to write it. I feel embarrassed to tag people in my fic posts also

I get this question often, and it hurts my heart that my lovelies think that they aren't worth peoples' time!
Honestly Nonny, there's no "magic formula", and it is part luck, part self promotion and part tagging a lot of people. Never feel embarrassed about that at all! There are plenty of people who are always on the lookout for new stories, so they love being tagged! And adding your fic to other people's lists! I mean, I don't know about other people, but my blog encourages interactivity and I WANT people to self-promo on a list if they see it relates to their fic. I go back and add notes to the main post so they're seen! Send me you new fic as an ask, and I'll promote it. Seriously, Nonny, it is mostly about self promo.
When I first started in this fandom, my meta took traction because I added it on reblogs of post. That's really it. My blog evolved to a fic rec blog because there was a gap at the time, and people kept suggesting fics, or asking what I personally read, and then word of mouth spread to my blog being one of the main places to go for Johnlock fic recs because my approach to recs was unique at the time (I used to ONLY rec fics I personally read). And yeah, I feel a bit braggadocios when I refer to myself as a top fic rec blog, but my understanding comes from other people, that's all. It's my brand at this point, honestly, LOL.

main or side?
if you have no problem reblogging fics onto your main blog you can skip this section! this is just for people who don't feel comfortable putting fic on their blog for whatever reason.
tumblr has a thing called sideblogs where you can make secondary blogs on the same account. no one else looking at that blog will know it's attached to your main unless you tell someone. it's a great option for people who want a blog only for fic they read. the downsides is that you can only reply to posts from your main and send asks off anon from your main. but it's a great option for reblogging fic.
on mobile: just go to your blog then press your name and then 'create a new blog'
on web: click the profile icon then 'new'
how to reblog
this part is easy! the best way to help writers is to reblog any fic you read and enjoyed. leaving a little comment in the tags is a lovely bonus and i'll show you how to do that soon. first i'll show you how to reblog really quickly with no comments. it's as easy at liking!
on mobile: at the bottom of a post, HOLD the reblog button. the icons of all your blogs will appear. DRAG then RELEASE over the blog you want to reblog the post to. your main or any sideblog you've made. that's it!
on web: hold the e key on your keyboard and icons from your blogs will pop up. then hover over the icon you want to reblog to and click. same deal as mobile. will reblog to the blog you clicked, quick and easy.
adding feedback/tags
this is the bonus step that will make any writer's day. i read every single comment people leave in the tags of their reblogs! here's how you can add comments to your reblogs!
bonus: using tags is also how you can organise your blog. if you add tags like 'minho' or 'favourite' and then search them on your blog later, you can find your favourite fics. much easier to organise than likes.
on mobile: press the reblog button instead of holding it.
where it says '+ add tags to help people find your post', click and add any and all thoughts about the fic you just read. it can be a little keysmash or it can be an essay. adore anything you feel like offering. type a sentence or word then hit return on your phone keyboard then type the next word or sentence. and so on and so on. (this is also where you can put your organisational tags). then when you're done press reblog.
on web. click the reblog button. you'll get a popup like this. type your tags. all your thoughts. then any tags to help you find the post later. hit reblog!
bonus: if you really do want to write an ESSAY (always welcome). this is where you can put your thoughts into the caption instead of tags. where i've written 'long comments/essays here' on mobile screenshot and where it says 'go ahead, put anything' on web.
when should you reblog?
whenever you finish a fic that you enjoyed! tumblr works by sharing posts with others through reblogging. when you follow people any posts they reblog will show on your dashboard. it's great for organically sharing content without algorithms like other sites use. fanfiction is all about fandom and community. writers write. and readers share and comment on the writing they enjoy. healthy ecosystem!
what are likes for then?
exactly what it says on the tin. hey, i liked this! a lot of people use them as bookmarks. i can only see this being a good use of it if you also reblog fics once you've read them. i can only imagine how many liked posts some people have. they must have to scroll for ages to find anything. i use it just as a like button. literally, i liked this! or to just show support for my mutuals personal posts. if i find a fic i want to read later, i'll use it for that sometimes too.
what if i'm shy?
firstly, tumblr is entirely anonymous. i don't know who you are and all i'm doing is reading whichever tags you've decided to add to my work. no one you know can judge you for the fic you read if you make a blog just for fic. and i'm certainly not judging you. i have anxiety myself, i understand the struggle. exposure therapy! just give it a go, see how you feel. i really feel you if you just make the effort to start doing it, you'll realise it really is okay! writers on here adore feedback and they'll appreciate you a lot for being a reader that reblogs and comments. reblogging with no comment to start off might help you ease into it.
writing takes a lot of time and effort. the only thing i've ever seen asked in return from the people that write is for you to let them know what you thought of it in the tags of a reblog! it's a very minor action compared to the time and effort it took to write the fic as well as the time and effort it took you to read it!
anyway, appreciate anyone who made the effort to read this and understand. readers who reblog and comment are the reason anyone is still on this site writing! ♡
ps. if you use desktop you can add the extension 'xkit rewritten' to chrome or firebox and use the feature quick reblog which makes tagging and reblogging even easier. the quick reblog feature looks like this. xkit rewritten is also how i make tag bundles that i can add to posts with one click instead of typing 20 tags out everytime i post a fic.

iirc a while ago people were making oc staff members for the island and tagging you in them? can i still make one and send it in or was there a cut off of sorts? i just don’t want to potentially overstep anything HSNSJS
There is never a cut off point.
I created this whole worldbuilding to indulge stuff I love, and hopefully inspire others to do the same. If you wanna head cannon your OCs working there, visiting there, training there, hell, dating one of them, I don’t care at all, in fact I actively encourage anything that makes you the viewer get involved, write, read, draw, whatever. You do not have to follow cannon here, but if you want to feel free to ask questions, and I’ll do my best to answer them accurately to anything you may need to know about Dotaku or it’s residents. Make a long lost evil cousin OC, make an ex rocket looking for refuge, make a teenager lost in life needing guidance, go off, make a Pokemon oc, I do not care what you make, just go out and do it, you don’t need to ask me for permission to utilise these assets, and have fun with them.
I’m essentially handing the viewer my box of toys and letting you all go wild. Of course there are laws I abide by when I create, ie. No legendaries or whatever, but you do not have to follow those if you don’t want to, because I’m not the boss of you and you can do whatever you like haha
Nothing people make is official, so like, what’s the harm? You’re making something for fun, it makes you happy, it doesn’t harm me in any way, or disrupt the blog and what it does. We all make self inserts or OCs for other shows and content ,this should be no different and I appreciate folks treating it the same.
I may reblog it here or on the side blog if it’s spicy depending on things you make.

NEW: The Lavender Showcase
The Lavender Showcase is a blog dedicated to reblogging and cataloging original works of LGBT writers on Tumblr.
The blog was created as a way for people to easily find queer and trans writers--especially if they prefer to stay out of tags that may contain spam, bots, and/or discourse. It was also created to help writers get visibility if tagging their writing with popular tags like #queer or #lgbt makes them a target for weird spam messages and bots.
This blog does not post works for people or accept submissions but essentially functions as a library. When a writer wishes to be reblogged, they can simply @ this blog or send in a DM and it will be reblogged. The Lavender Showcase uses simple but consistent tags to catalog reblogged stories, making finding new works easy!
The primary goal for this blog is to try to help LGBT writers connect with each other and with readers.
How do I get reblogged, exactly?
All that is really asked is that the OP of the story tag this blog @lavendershowcase somewhere in a post containing their story or in a post with a link to their story (if you cross-post stories from other websites like Tapas or Wattpad or AO3) or send the post through a DM! Anything will be reblogged regardless of genre, rating, etc.
Please do not send in ask messages with your story links. Asks do not always send if they include links.
There is more information on how you can help make cataloging easier, if you wish to do an extra step or two or if you have specific requests for how you’d like the story tagged. You can find that information on the “How to get Featured” page linked here.

What if I want to find a story about character who is bi or a what if I’m really craving a fake dating story?
There is a handy-dandy tags page! Using the tag page can have two functions. The first being that each link will take you directly to that tag. The second is knowing what is currently on the blog.
You can search multiple tags on the blog’s search function. So, if you see that there is a tag for bisexual characters and a tag for pirates, and you want to know if there are bi pirate stories, you can manually search both of those tags in the search bar as “#bi charactes, #pirates”
What are future plans for this blog?
Hopefully, someday, there will be writing and reading events. These could be writing weeks where the blog posts themed prompts or ask events where readers are encouraged to share their favorite LGBT authors/books/stories.
One of the main, future goals of this blog is to create a directory of LGBT indie writers. It would be a simple list or spreadsheet for anyone to look at. I haven’t worked out all the details yet, and I will be communicating future plans as they’re made, but it is a major goal for this blog.
It would also be nice if there could be resources compiled for LGBT writers such as lit magazines, advice columns, etc. But those would be very far off into the future.
How can you support this blog? Follow and interact and reblog this post! If you have any writer friends, let them know about this blog. If you’re looking to read more indie stuff, give us a follow! It really means so much.
I know what some of you are thinking. Blogs like this come and go. Tumblr isn’t an active place anymore. I’m aware of all of this. But I really do want to try to make this a sustainable project. I’ve been on Tumblr for 10 years. I’m a librarian. I know my way around this place and around catalogs.
I’ve thought about a blog like this for years now. I have a lot of faith of what can become of it. But if it never gets more than 50 followers, if it never takes off and fails, then so be it. At least I gave it a try.

in the wake of the cancellation of revival my dream
hello to my proseka player followers and any other players who may see this! if any of you use twitter, i’m sure you’re aware that there’s a notable subset of folks pitching a fit about the cancellation of revival my dream despite the anti-indigenous sentiment presented in the event’s plotline and the orientalism of some of the event cards and costumes. we know for a fact that the colorful stage team listens to direct fan feedback, especially when sent through their Zendesk, so i want to ask you guys to take a minute to send in a quick message to the localization team A) thanking them for fighting to attempt to change the event and being willing to cancel it when unable to change it and B) letting them know you’ll be happy to continue to support the game now and in the future should this standard continue to be met.
this is the strongest and most reliable method we have to reinforce this decision and encourage them to continue to take the safety and well being of their fans of color into account when making decisions like this in the future. it takes very little time to do and will hopefully make a good impact on the future of global proseka. if you want to do so, you can go in game to the top right menu -> support -> contact via e-mail, scroll to the bottom, and click submit a request. i will also include the direct link to the request form in the replies of this post for easy access.

WE F***ING DID IT!! 😭🥳
HOLY SHIT 🤯 AHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!! Noooooo!!! New insane milestone! 😭
Okay, no, stop, that’s too much, I don’t really realize that! The 1000 followers were insane but I never thought that there will be a 2 at some point!
Nooo, I don’t know what to say, so seriously, I have no idea. The typical 'thank you' that I usually make feels somehow absolutely not enough and meaningful.
Still, a bunch of emotional words follow, because I can’t help it.
Two thousand people, how did I deserve this? So seriously? I really never expected in my life that I will create something where two thousand people end up saying "That’s good, I want more!"
I mean, did you guys look at the stuff I sometimes give here? Absolute crack. But I am so incredibly happy that you seem to like my strange thoughts. This is just amazing and I honestly can’t really understand it.
But no seriously. I’ve always been a outsider in real life and never felt like I really belonged and liked anywhere. I am not an easy person and I have always noticed that. In real life, I have a best friend, and then it stops. So, I don’t really have many people in my life. It’s all the more incredible for me that there are actually people here who seem to like what I say and even want to support me with a follow or likes, comments and reblogs. I can hardly understand that my stuff is apparently not so bad, and 2000 people of you actually like it. This is just an incredible honor for me! 🤯🥺
My thoughts were often different from those of other people, which is why I often got less encouragement, which at a certain point of course also felt strange and I wondered if I was just strange.
And don’t get me wrong, I’m weird, but I think in a good way. :)
That I think so today is also partly your 'fault'. Because the people here seem to like my thoughts, no matter how strange they may be, that means a lot to me and it helps me and especially my self-confidence and my self-worth a lot.
Now we get really personal: Even my therapist knows about you, hehe. This saying is often read, especially on Tumblr "I tell my therapist about you", but it is always in a negative context. But not with me. Because most of the time when she asks what was good the week, then the answer has mostly to do with Tumblr and this incredible fandom here. 🥺

good morning friends old and new! now that i am back in the swing of tumblr i wanted to reintroduce myself and also explain what’s going to be happening on my simblr going forward!
soo if you are new here, hi! my name is lacey! i am currently 32 and i’ve had this simblr since 2013 (hence my little tagline on my blog). i was most active 2013-2017 when i was regularly posting my sims 3 story legacy once upon a legacy. despite being a sims-based story i really used it as a creative outlet and poured a lot of heart and soul into it. it was one of my favorite things i’ve ever written or even done in my life as dumb as that sounds. BUT sadly it all came crashing down when my ancient laptop at the time fully died and while i had backed up the save i never thought to back up my 18gb of cc that i heavily relied on for sims 3 and so when i eventually got another computer the thought of trying to hunt down and redownload everything i had was so daunting i just left it. i went inactive and that was pretty much that... until sims 4 finally added toddlers and i decided to give it another chance.
fast forward to this year when i got myself a brand new super reliable gaming laptop and decided to give the simblr thing another go. i’ve been playing sims 4 regularly for several years now and even have a legacy i’ve been keeping up with (which i’ve been posting here). buuut the hole in my heart for my old legacy story and characters never closed up and after getting active here again i found myself re-reading my old stuff over and over and wishing i had been able to continue it or at least give it a satisfying ending since i left it on a huge cliffhanger and back in the day i know i had a lot of devoted followers who kept up with it as they would comment and send messages all the time.
with a little encouragement from friends i realized... why can’t i just continue it? sure, it’s been six years but i still have a lot of it planned out and now that i’m actually active in sims 4 and have been for a good few years, i have built up a nice cc collection and i have the tools to do it again. so... i’m gonna do it.
tl;dr: i’m bringing my beloved sims 3 legacy back and rebuilding it from scratch so i can continue it in sims 4. for the next few weeks i’m gonna be reblogging story bits from the generation i was working on before my crash so that anyone who actually wants to follow along can get the full story before i continue it. this means i’ll be posting sims 3 stuff, but when i get to the part where i stopped i’ll be picking it back up in sims 4! thanks so much for going along with me on this journey if you do, and if you were a reader of OUAL back in the day i’d love if you sent me a message to let me know if you’ll be reading it again. :’)
