I've been thinking recently, so here's a headcanon:
when Ciel is in a moment of distress, near panic attack perhaps, if someone were to reach out and touch him so that Ciel could feel their skin, his distress would be amplified. however, he does not react that way in response to a gloved hand reaching out for him. in fact, it is almost soothing. afterall, the hand that has comforted him for the past almost 4 years has been gloved. so if he was ever conditioned to fear all touch, that behavior eventually went extinct.

while he doesnt play a direct role, dr0 (released before sdr2) describes kamukura as like. a rumor at the school prior to the tragedy (even a part of a group of things kyoko was investigating at hopes peak at the time)
so its very funny to imagine the dr1 kids being like 1) hes real ? 2) WE HAVE HIM IN OUR CUSTODY ? scary shit
It's like those "I heard he killed a man with a thumb" "I heard he knows every digit of pi" rumours but every one is true

I think the thing about “John Wick is a blank slate protagonist as long as you separate him from his Keanu Reeves-ness, which is his one source of characterization,” is that you can’t separate him from Keanu Reeves. Maybe even more so than standard for the medium (where the performance is always as, if not more, important to the character than what’s “on the page"). This is a character precision crafted to be The ideal Keanu Reeves vehicle. Made in a lab to play to all of Keanu’s strengths. Which mostly lie in nonverbal acting, and include “guy who is stiff and socially awkward and doesn’t say much, but radiates some sort of wisdom/melancholy/unspoken complexity;” “guy who combines strength with delicateness;” and “guy who is fed up with this and would really really really like to go home now.”

I've long accepted that Deku would probably not end up with Bakugo, but idt I'll ever accept Ochako not ending up with Toga, especially with the most recent chapters. Like their relationship has the queerest undertones in the entire series, and that's not even considering the fact that one of them is confirmed canonically queer. Wdym Ochako's straight and she's gonna end up in a typical shounen ending cishet relationship? No fucking way

my thing about the dark urge is like. augh. they're so. you were made for a purpose and you can never escape it and you are punished for fighting it and orin was made for a purpose and she can never escape it and (presumably) she is punished for fighting it. so you don't fight it. and so with neither of you fighting your purpose you fail because bhaal is too short sighted and too impatient. too hungry. she kills you and while the end of the world and the death of everything would be good for bhaal, that one moment of betrayal, that one murder, is enough in that moment; orin acts on the impulses she inherited from him, and assumes your place, and it will never work because she can't fight the urge in the way you can, because she can't see the bigger picture, because she doesn't have the discipline.
i think it's an interesting commentary on bhaal, human man who ascended to godhood- does he retain that impetuousness, even if the scope of his plans is wider and further reaching? does vlaakith have a plan beyond "become a god"? does gale, so-called god of ambition, see anything beyond his own immediate success? do mortals who become immortal ever really become gods? or are you forever bound to your same shallow impulses, the mortal lack of foresight, the impulsivity and entitlement?
when bhaal created his messiah out of his own flesh and blood, did he know they would be murdered? or did he think the rules don't apply to them, the way they don't apply to him? what did he intend them to inherit?
