to be honest there has never been a fictional character i’ve actually wanted to date. like. i want them to date each other. i don’t want myself as a person to be involved in this scenario whatsoever. what would i add to this narratively? what’s my thematic purpose in the narrative? immersion breaking.

I've never played an Assassin's Creed, but I feel like there needs to be a story where, like ... in scenes focused on Ezio, there's also these parenthetical asides of Desmond's internal monologue as he's "watching" this all play out, and there's this whole extended bit where he's getting increasingly annoyed by Ezio failing to pick up on something which is really obvious, come on Ezio ...
