Syulang - Na'vi; Flower
The smell of incense wafted through the pod, mingling with the pungent scent of medicinal paste and herbs. The room was dimly lit, filled with a hushed tension that seemed to permeate the air. Tucked in the far corner of the room, you were busy patching Lo'ak up, applying a cool creamy paste onto his battered body.
As you began to soothe a bruise on his arm, Neteyam stormed into the room, frustration evident on his face. His steps pounded against the woven floors, sending a trickle of fear up your spine.
"What were you thinking Lo'ak? Meeting up with that killer tulkun, again!" He hisses, roughly pushing at his younger brother's head. "Why do you have to make things so difficult?"
"Neteyam," you soothed, moving to stand before him, "Your brother is actually seriously injured. Can we please have this conversation another time?"
"My brother wouldn't be injured if he didn't go past the reefs again. My brother wouldn't be injured if you didn't help him sneak out," Neteyam seethed, towering over you as his golden eyes burned with a blend of anger and disappointment.
Under his intense gaze, you curled into yourself, ears pinning back. You knew what you did was wrong, but you had never seen Lo'ak connect so deeply with someone before.
"Payakan is Lo'ak's spirit brother," you hushed softly, arms and tail wrapping around yourself as you tried to explain yourself to Neteyam, "Outcast or not…They are spirit brothers, Neteyam."
Neteyam clicked his tongue and threw his head back in frustration. Your name then escaped his lips, laced with cold disdain, "I would have expected this from him, but I never imagined you would actively go out of your way to assist him. You were trained to be Tsahìk, and I trusted you to act responsibly."
He took a moment to breathe, his pause magnifying the weight of the situation. "I couldn't be more wrong."
The walls of the room seemed to close in, suffocating you, as his words pierced your heart. Shame washed over you, causing your body to tremble as you grappled with your emotions.
"Neteyam, I…" you tried to speak up once more, but your mouth ran dry, throat shutting close.
"I…I'm sorry, sir," you force out, voice quivering.
Lo'ak's gaze intensifies, and a surge of protective rage surges through him. He swiftly moves to your defense, shoving Neteyam away, a low hiss rumbling from his chest. "Y/N did what she thought was right. We're all responsible for our own actions. Don't you dare lay this shit on her for something I did."
Neteyam's lips were pulled back into a snarl as he pushed Lo'ak back, his voice laced with bitter sarcasm. "Responsible for our own actions? That's rich coming from you considering how much you just love to start shit."
Lo'ak growled before he moved to grapple Neteyam, forcefully pinning the older boy against the pod's walls. The impact caused the wall to shake, knocking a few bottles of herbs from the shelves, which tumbled and clattered onto the woven floors.
"Lo'ak—!" you gasped out seeing the boy draw his hand back, knocking his fist into Neteyam's face.
Neteyam staggered backward, colliding with the wall, as the force of the blow resounded with a heavy thunk. Momentarily dazed, he blinked and glanced up at Lo'ak, his hand instinctively reaching to his throbbing jaw.
“You skxáwng,” he growls.
"Yep. That’s me," Lo'ak quipped, his grin transforming into a menacing sneer. "Your disappointment of a brother. The fucking outcast of the family here."
Neteyam scoffs, wrenching himself off the wall, stomping forward until he was in front of Lo'ak. "What was the one thing dad asked for? Not to cause any trouble, right?" Neteyam huffs. "I'm just looking out for you! We are brothers, Lo'ak. Sully's stick together"
Lo'ak bares his teeth then, a growl ripping from his throat.
"You are not my brother."
Before you could process it, Neteyam's knuckles, flesh and bone, connected hard with Lo'ak's nose. The sound of the impact echoed through the pod, a sharp crack that filled the air. Your eyes widened as you watched Lo'ak reel backward, his body colliding forcefully with a wooden pane. The sudden eruption of violence from the normally composed Neteyam shattered the silence that had settled in the pod.
Lo'ak's snarl shifted into a pained grimace as he clutched his nose, blood streaming between his fingers. The pod fell into an eerie stillness, the air heavy with tension.
You stepped forward, a mix of fear and concern driving you. "Stop! This won't solve anything," you implored, reaching out to Lo'ak with a gentle touch.
Neteyam watched as you fretted over his younger brother, a burning mix of guilt and resentment bubbling up in his gut.
Lo'ak stared up at Neteyam, his anger wavering, replaced by a mixture of hurt and disbelief. His eyes searched desperately for a hint of remorse, a glimmer of understanding. But the older boy just stood there, his jaw clenched.
Shaking his head in frustration, Neteyam turned towards the chamber's entrance. His gaze lingered on Lo'ak, expression hardened with resolve.
"No flying or diving for a month," he declared, his voice carrying a note of finality.
With that, he strode out of the room, leaving behind a tense silence.
Lo'ak clicked his tongue before turning to you, concern etched on his face. He sent a cautious look your way, his voice filled with compassion. "You alright? That was rough back there. His words, I mean."
You mustered a watery smile, trying to brush off the events that just transpired.
"You're the one injured here, I should be asking you that. Plus, I'm used to it," you replied, your voice tinged with the slightest hint of amusement. Lo'ak attempted to speak up once more, but you swiftly redirected the conversation, your hands already reaching for the healing paste.
"Come, let's fix you up."
Tumblr media
The recent days had become a harrowing blur, with a sense of impending doom hanging heavily in the air. Throughout the village, warriors hastily armed themselves, and healers busied themselves with gathering herbs, all while a dark storm loomed ominously above.
It was undeniable—the sky demons had returned.
In the midst of the mounting turmoil, you found yourself travelling through the waters with your friends, following Lo'ak after he abruptly plunged into the depths of the ocean, navigating past the reefs with his ilu.
The salty air clung to your senses as you leaned forward, desperation lacing your voice.
"Lo'ak! Where are you going?!" you cried out, tightly grasping Neteyam's waist as you both pursued him on the back of an ilu.
Lo'ak remained eerily silent, his focus fixated on the abyssal strength of the wavves before him. With an alarming agility, Lo'ak dove down, the sleek figure of his ilu slicing through the water with ease. Gripped by fear and worry, you turned to your beloved, seeking solace and answers.
"Nete—" you began, but your words were swallowed by Neteyam's grim interruption.
"He's going after Payakan," Neteyam replied curtly, his teeth clenched. Gripping your thigh tight, he positioned himself with a firm hold on the ilu's saddle. "Hold on tightly."
With a commanding click, Neteyam directed the ilu to dive down, plunging deeper into the unknown depths.
Then, as you emerged from the depths, you found yourself in the middle of the battle. Crashes of boats and metal birds floating all about you.
As you surveyed the battlefieds, you froze, heart sinking at the sight of Lo'ak perched atop a familiar tulkun, desperately attempting to remove the tracking device cruelly embedded in Payakan's flesh.
Without a second thought, you propelled yourself forward, driven by a surge of adrenaline, disregarding Neteyam's frantic shouts as you rushed to aid Lo'ak in freeing his spirit brother.
The others, recognizing the gravity of the situation, quickly rallied to your aid. Hands reached out, working in unison, as you all grappled with the device, pulling, tugging, and knocking against it in a desperate attempt to break its grip.
"Pull!"
Each moment felt like an eternity but with a final surge of combined effort, the tracking device relinquished its hold, tearing free from the tulkun's skin. A collective breath escaped your lips, mingling with the creature's relieved exhalation.
However, any semblance of relief quickly dissipated when Jake's voice pierced through Neteyam's communication device.
"Boy? Are you there?" Jake's voice quivered with anxiety, instantly sending a shiver of panic down your spine. The sinking feeling in the pit of your stomach intensified as you strained to listen to every word exchanged.
Neteyam swallowed, his throat constricting, before he mustered the courage to respond, "Yeah. I'm here, sir. What's wrong?"
The tense silence hung heavy in the air as you all held your breath, anticipating Jake's next words.
"Is your mate there?" Jake's voice crackled with urgency, the weight of his inquiry sinking into your bones, evoking a gnawing sense of apprehension.
Neteyam hesitated, his eyes briefly meeting yours, before he replied, his voice tinged with unease, "Yes. Yes, she is here—"
Before he could finish, Jake interrupted, his tone laden with concern, "There's been a report that a female na'vi was spotted on the docks of the boat. Are your sisters there?"
The weight of those words hit you like a thunderbolt.
"Shit," you cursed under your breath, running a hand through your braids.
"No, sir. Both Tuk and Kiri are not here," Neteyam replied, his voice laden with dismay.
Jake's voice crackled through the communication device once again, the urgency palpable in his words. "Stay vigilant, Neteyam. We can't afford any risks."
Neteyam nodded, his expression grim and resolute. "Understood, sir. We'll stay on high alert."
As the connection ended, Neteyam immediately began to issue orders, his voice firm and commanding.
"Ao'nung, take Roxto and Tsireya away from here. The open waters are too dangerous. We'll regroup by the rock outcrops," Neteyam directed, his tone brooking no argument.
The metkaniyan nodded, a stony frown etched on his face as he hurriedly ushered his sister and friend away from the immediate vicinity, their ilus awaiting them nearby. Neteyam watched them depart, his gaze lingering for a moment, before he turned his attention back to you and Lo'ak.
"That means you two as well."
"No, Neteyam, no," you protested vehemently. The mere thought of leaving him alone in the face of the approaching war was unbearable to you. "I am not leaving you."
Your plea hung in the air, thick with emotion. It made Neteyam take a moment to pause before he reached for you. An arm curled around your waist as he pulled you close, pressing a searing kiss against your lips.
Then, with a heavy sigh, he drew back, his brows furrowed as anguish swam around his sharp eyes. His gaze shifted to Lo'ak, a silent understanding passing between them. Neteyam's voice was strained but resolute as he addressed his brother, "Go. Now."
The weight of his decision lingered in the air, and you pleaded desperately, your voice wavering, "Neteyam…"
But his mind was made up. Casting one final, heart-wrenching look back at you, he rushed away, vanishing into the crashing waves.
Frantically, you turned to Lo'ak, and it only took one look for you to know that he shared your thoughts.
"We're going after him," he declared, his voice echoing your own desire.
Without wasting another moment, you set off, running towards the crashing waves, adrenaline surging through your veins.
The open waters beckoned, their depths mocking with unseen perils, but you refused to be deterred. The clicks of your ilu's came close and you both made haste, clambering atop the creatures as you dived towards the boat.
By the time you had arrived, half of the vessel was already submerged in the water, and you and Lo'ak quickly scaled its metallic walls, scrambling across the deck.
As you scanned the surroundings, your gaze locked onto three familiar figures at the edge. Kiri is the first to meet your eye and she starts shouting for you to take cover.
The echoes of gunshots reverberated through the air, jolting you into immediate action. You and Lo'ak swiftly slid down towards the figures, engaging in a fierce struggle as you pushed aside soldiers in your path.
Lo'ak managed to snatch a gun along the way, arming himself for the impending confrontation.
"Y/N!" Tuk called out for you as you ran to their position.
Reacting swiftly, you scooped the young girl into your protective embrace, shielding her from the bloodshed unfolding around you. Meanwhile, Lo'ak urgently guided Kiri to safety behind a nearby wall, ensuring she was out of harm's way and sheltered from the relentless barrage of bullets.
In the midst of the pandemonium, Neteyam retrieved the gun from Lo'ak, his movements experienced. He positioned himself around the corner, using it as cover, and unleashed a volley of return fire at your assailants.
"Y/N! Move them out!" Neteyam's cry echoes through the chaos, his voice strained as a bullet narrowly misses his skull.
"Yes, sir!" Reacting swiftly, your instincts kick in without hesitation. Grasping Tuk's hand tightly, you forcefully propel her forward alongside Lo'ak and Kiri, sprinting towards safety.
A sudden prickling sensation on the back of your neck momentarily distracts you, but the rush of adrenaline surging through your veins pushes it aside.
Neteyam, ever vigilant, stays close behind, providing cover fire to protect you all as you navigate through the perilous terrain. With every beat of your heart echoing in your chest, you reach the edge and, without pausing to think, leap over the railing, plunging into the water below.
As the shock of hitting the water subsides, you gasp for air, determined to stay afloat. Despite the biting cold and the sharp tremors running through your body, you maintain a firm grip on Tuk's hand, ensuring she resurfaces beside you.
That was when you realized something was wrong.
The hollers and war-cries of your friends echo in the distance but all you could focus on was the searing hot pain burning up on your neck. The wild waves toss and rock your aching body, carrying you further away from the safety of the group.
"Y/N? Are you alright?" Tuk questioned, immediately taking notice of how pale your face had gotten. The girl paddled closer to you, a shrill scream ripping out of her throat once she saw the murky red waters around you.
The others reacted with alarm, rushing over to you. Choking and gasping for air, you felt your head sink beneath the waves, saltwater filling your lungs.
Fortunately, before you could drown, a pair of strong arms encircled your middle, pulling you up from the depths. As you were turned around, you found yourself face to face with Neteyam, his expression panicked while his mouth opened and closed, searching for the right words as he took in your pale face.
"Syulang—" he began, his voice choked with urgency.
"Bro! What are you waiting for? Get her on!" Lo'ak's voice interrupted, snapping Neteyam out of his trance. His gaze shifted to Lo'ak and Kiri as they guided an ilu towards you. He hastily moved to lift you atop the saddles, before clambering up to sit behind you. After making tsahelyu, he instructed the creature to move, making sure to swim above the waters due to your injury.
Heaving, you felt blood seep from your mouth as you curled onto Neteyam's chest. His normally steady heartbeat was frantic, a panicked endless thrum that seemed to almost blend into one. His lips were pressed tight against your temple as his fervent prayers seeped against your burning skin.
"Stray strong. I need you to stay strong," Neteyam's voiced hushed.
In the distance, he spotted a rocky outcrop where his parents stood, urgently waving them over. Lo'ak followed closely behind, his voice trembling as he called out to them. "Dad! Mom! It's Y/N!"
Working together, both Lo'ak and Neteyam carefully lifted your body onto the rocky stump, surrounded by Neteyam's family. Your breaths now came in short, labored heaves, your chest rising and falling rapidly as it struggled to draw in enough oxygen.
Jake stepped forward, his hands pressing against your shoulders as he gently rolled you over to examine your wound. A sinking dread settled in his chest as he saw the gaping exit wound at the base of your nape.
Neteyam stood by his father's side, his hands trembling with panic. "Sir? What's wrong?"
"Pressure. Put pressure," Jake's voice came out monotonous which sent a strike of fear through Neteyam. Immediately, the boy did as told, his large hands pressing onto your frail neck. Your eyes darted frantically across the faces gathered around you, wild and unfocused, until they finally settled shakily on Neteyam.
"Sir, I—" you gasped, more blood slipping from your lips as you inadvertently bit down on your tongue in pain. Neteyam quickly hushed you, his frown deepening at the militaristic term you had used. "Sir, I'm sor—"
Then, the pain began to dull and a sense of impending finality washed over you. Heaving, you allowed yourself to lower your façade of strength and embrace your vulnerability in what could be your last moments. With a trembling hand, you reached up and pressed it against Neteyam's cheek, tears welling in your eyes as you took in the sharp features of his face.
"I'm scared," you winced, feeling small and lost, like a frightened child. "Ma'Neteyam… I am so scared."
Grief and anguish filled Neteyam's expression as he reached for your hand, pressing his lips gently upon it.
"I know, syulang. I know. I'm sorry," he murmured, a pool of guilt building up in his stomach as he recalled his last conversation with you and Lo'ak. "You'll be alright, okay? You have a strong heart."
As he looked into your wide, fearful eyes, Neteyam felt a surge of emotions wash over him, carrying him back to the vivid memories of your childhood.
The scenes played out in his mind like a reel of nostalgia, as if he were standing once again among the towering, thick trees of Omaticaya. He could almost hear the laughter that had filled the air as you both explored the wonders of the forest together, the exhilaration of climbing the sturdy branches, and the shared secrets whispered under the shelter of rocky caves.
Tumblr media
"Neteyam… I'm scared," you whimpered, your heart throbbing in your chest as you felt the coarse texture of the sturdy tree trunk pressing against your back.
Both of you were out playing in the forests and had lost track of time. It was way past eclipse now.
The dense forest was sprawled out before you, engulfing everything before you in an ominous shroud. The fading light of the setting sun cast elongated, eerie shadows that danced amidst the towering trees.
A young Neteyam stood in front of you, his hands gently cupping your tear-streaked cheeks, tenderly wiping away the droplets. Then, the warrior boy radiated a warm smile at you. "I'll keep you safe, syulang."
The air resonated with unsettling growls and haunting howls. Amidst the gloom, pairs of luminous eyes glimmered from hidden crevices behind the trees, concealed beasts lying in wait. Though fear still lingered within you, you summoned the courage to step into his awaiting embrace, seeking solace and security in his arms.
"Do you promise?" you asked, your voice barely above a whisper.
"I promise."
Tumblr media
"I'll keep you safe, syulang," Neteyam hushed, his voice filled with desperation, as he leaned in to press a kiss against your cracked and bloodied lips. The taste of iron flooded his mouth, but the concern for your well-being eclipsed any discomfort he felt.
Drawing closer, his forehead gently touched yours, causing his tears to mingle with yours as they cascaded onto your cheek. "I promise."
Neteyam's trembling fingers delicately brushed against your neck, seeking the faint and weakening pulse that throbbed beneath your clammy skin. Your breathing, labored and high-pitched, struggled to utter his name, "Neteyam—"
"Nete...I," Then, in an agonizing moment, your eyes dulled, your body going limp as you gasped out your last breath. Neteyam froze, his heart pounding in his chest as he withdrew from you, his movements graceless. "Syulang?"
"Neteyam… I," Lo'ak croaked out, his voice laden with guilt as he moved closer, attempting to offer comfort to his brother. "I'm sorr—"
His well-intentioned gesture was abruptly met with a forceful push, as Neteyam's frantic state escalated. Disregarding the presence of the others, he gathered your lifeless body into his trembling arms, holding you close as he began to hyperventilate. "No, no, no, no—"
Lo'ak stood motionless, his gaze fixed upon the devastating scene unfolding before him. Blood stained the younger brother's hands, a haunting reminder of his involvement, the guilt and remorse etched deep within him. Kiri pressed herself against his side, offering what little solace she could.
Tears streamed down Neteyam's face in an unrelenting wave as he shook vehemently, his grip on your lifeless form tight. Every breath he managed to take came in ragged gasps, his chest heaving with profound anguish as his quivering lips whispered a fervent prayer to Eywa.
"Great Mother, I beg of you, please don't take her away from me. It's not her time. Please, I can't bear to lose her," the words tore from his throat, strained and desperate, a raw and hoarse plea echoing through the air.
But the silence that followed was deafening, and the universe remained indifferent to his anguished pleas. Fate had dealt her cruel hand and there was no reversing what has happened. A despondent hush settled upon Neteyam as he cradled your cold body, his fingers trembling as he traced the contours of your face, desperately clinging to your fading warmth.
Tumblr media
'All energy is only borrowed, and one day you have to give it back.'
These were the words that had been etched into Neteyam's consciousness since his earliest memories, told to him when he was a mere babe. Through the years, those words had taken root in his heart, their significance growing with each passing day. They held a bittersweet reminder of the transient nature of a Na'vi's existence, an understanding that all things, no matter how great or powerful, would eventually fade away.
And now, as he stood amidst the darkest hour of his life, pushing a leaf which cradled your lifeless body along the gentle waves, the weight of his mother's words pressed upon him with a poignant intensity. They whispered to him the solemn truth of loss, the inevitable fate that even the brightest and most vibrant blooms would eventually wither away.
Far off by the shores, the Metkayina clan were gathered together to honor your death. Soft songs were sun by artisans in the distance while warriors surrounded the waters, ready to assist your grieving mate in anyway.
The ebb and flow of the waves embraced your body, as Neteyam delicately allowed you to be immersed in the water. Neytiri and Jake moved to swim towards him, their concern evident in their eyes, but he shook his head, a silent request for solitude as he embarked on the final journey with you alone.
Silently nodding, they swam away and watched from a distance, their hearts heavy with grief for their son as Neteyam held you close, whispering words of love onto your cold lips.
Taking you into his arms once more, Neteyam took a deep breath, and with a graceful dive, immersed himself into the depths of the ocean.
In this underwater sanctuary, time seemed to stand still as he held his breath, allowing the weight of his emotions to wash over him. The silence enveloped him, broken only by the gentle lullaby of the underwater currents. His tears, blending seamlessly with the surrounding currents, were carried away into the vast expanse of the sea.
With a heavy heart, Neteyam loosened his grip, letting you go and releasing you into the gentle caress of the water. As your curled up form sank slowly towards the ocean bed, soft hues of blue and green cradled you in their hold, painting the scene with a poignant melancholy, as if the ocean itself mourned your passing.
A soft glow of bioluminescent algae adorned the waters, casting a mesmerizing luminescence upon the solemn setting. Each flickering glow, like a delicate farewell kiss.
Neteyam watched on as the golden tendrils engulfed you in its shimmering embrace. Then, finally, glowing like a chorus of tiny stars, the algae weaved their radiant tendrils around you, a final act of nature as Eywa took you in.
Ngaru irayo seiyi ayo,

Ma Eywa, ma Eywa.
Tumblr media
Neteyam swam before the tree of ancestors, his heart heavy with a mix of anticipation and sorrow. His hands grasped onto his queue tightly, feeling the sacred bond beneath his battle-hardened palms. Just beside him, Tsireya floated along the deep waves with a heaviness in her gaze, her eyes downcast as she shakily signed to him, her hands trembling with emotion, 'Are you ready?'
Both of them had embarked on this solemn journey together, a quest to connect with the Metkaniyan spirit tree, seeking solace from your spirit and Eywa herself.
Neteyam had requested Tsireya's presence, knowing the sisterly bond that had blossomed between the two of you over the months. He understood that she, too, carried the weight of grief for your loss.
He nodded, a bit more frantic than he'd like. Tsireya smiled at his eagerness, her eyes shimmering with shared anticipation, her hands signing once more, 'Is there a specific memory you'd like to see?'
Neteyam paused, his mind drifting through the vast ocean of memories that he held of you, each one precious and poignant.
A minute passes, and finally, with a gentle nod, he signed his answer.
Tumblr media
Neteyam found himself standing amidst the lush foliage of the Hometree, bathed in the soft glow of the sun. The vibrant colors of the forest danced around him, creating a tranquil backdrop for his restless heart. With each purposeful step, he moved stealthily through the forest. And then, his eyes locked onto a familiar sight—a burrowed cave where you often retreated to immerse yourself in craftwork.
His heart quickened with anticipation as he approached, his hand reaching for the necklace that hung around his neck, feeling the smooth beads under his fingertips. Then, in a single, fluid motion, he unclasped it and dropped it to the ground.
The remnants of this memory came rushing back, the echoes of your shared past resurfacing with vivid clarity. As he drew nearer, your teenage form seemed to flicker and shift, transforming before his eyes into your adult self. The passage of time etched upon your face, mirroring the weight and wisdom you accumulated over the years.
Time seemed to stand still as your gazes locked, a magnetic force pulling Neteyam closer to you. Emotions swelled within him, a blend of joy, sorrow, and a deep yearning to bridge the gap that separated you both.
"Hey," he smiled tearfully, his voice filled with a mixture of tenderness and vulnerability, "What are you doing, syulang?"
Your face lit up, a radiant smile gracing your lips as you gestured for him to come closer.
"I just finished weaving something. It's for you," you exclaimed, your excitement palpable. "Come, let me put it on."
Neteyam eagerly obeyed, lowering himself before you, allowing you to clasp the necklace around his neck.
"My mighty warrior, it suits you," you remarked, your voice filled with warmth as you beheld the necklace settled atop his chest.
Neteyam huffed out a bittersweet laugh as tears streamed down his cheeks. "It does."
Concern then etched across your face.
"Ma'Teyam," you murmured softly, your touch soothing as you gently ran your hands through his braids. Neteyam's tears continued to flow, an outpouring of emotions that spoke volumes of his love and longing. You furrowed your brows, tilting your head to the side.
"Why do you cry, Nete?"
"I'm just…" Neteyam took a moment to steady his breath, his voice a tender reflection of his inner turmoil. A mixture of joy and sorrow lingered in his words. "I'm happy to see you."
Your laughter, a melodic and breathless symphony, filled the forest with its warmth. It wrapped around Neteyam's heart, offering a fleeting respite from the weight of your loss.
"Oh," you replied, your voice tinged with affection, "I am happy to see you too, Nete."
Tumblr media
Tsireya stood from afar, allowing Neteyam to meet you in spirit alone. She watched over him as his form drifted, a gentle smile gracing her lips.
Her heart then swelled with warmth as she witnessed his lips curve into a genuine grin, seeing his once stern expression melt away into a state of serene contentment.

Tumblr media
౨ৎ ⋆。˚ what happens when chifuyu is forced to break it off with you ?
౨ৎ ⋆。˚ gn!reader , angst to fluff , forced breakup , lots of crying , vv sad chifuyu :( , kinda short sos .
Tumblr media
chifuyu seriously had no idea what he was doing.
the look on your face was an expression he vowed to never have you make at the beginning of your relationship.
“i’m sorry (Y/N), but we should really stop seeing eachother. i’m not happy with you and i want to end it.” he spits out, almost choking on his own words. it felt as though something was blocking his airways, punishing him for breaking your heart.
“okay…” your voice speaks out, tears of your own flooding your cheeks.
as you slowly walked away from your beloved boyfriend, you couldn’t help but wonder. where did you go wrong? he didn’t seem unhappy 3 days ago when you two went to the arcade with hanagaki and tachibana, did he? when did this begin?
your only bodily response was more tears that were protruding down your face, nose crimson red and eyes slowly puffing up. you walk away slowly, assuming he no longer wanted to be around you.
“godamnit” chifuyu gets out before his own tears flood down his cheeks.
only a few hours earlier, your father had sat down with your boyfriend, unbeknownst to you.
“i don’t want you dating my child and i think i’ve made that very clear.” your father almost spits in disgust at your appalled boyfriend. break up?? with you?? no fuckin way??
“you’re a good for nothing delinquent who does nothing but heat up other boys. the only times i’ve even seen you, you’re beat up and injured! how long before you get (Y/N) involved in your violence, or even worse, lay a hand on my child.”
“ I WOULDN’T DARE RAISE MY HAND TO (Y/N).” the blonde screeched, overwhelmed and stressed. why now? why did he have to do this right before such a big holiday? did he want to ruin your christmas??
chifuyu knows you splurge about him to your family, that’s how your father knows so much about him, including what he gets up to when the sun goes down. but you never spoke ill of him, so why is your dad getting so defensive?
he’s proven on multiple occasions he’s a total gentleman to you! and he gets the same treatment back from you! you open doors for each other, make food for one another, come racing over when one of you is sick e.t.c. why do this now?
but..
in the back of chifuyu mind, he starts to wonder.
what would happen if you got dragged into this? what if someone uses you as a way to get information?
it’s obvious to anyone that chifuyu is a loyal man, and his loyalties lies with keisuke baji, takemichi hanagaki and you. there’s no chance he wouldn’t give away valuable info to keep you protected, anyone in toman could see just how dedicated he is to keeping you safe.
this thought runs through his head as he breaks up with you, just 2 days before christmas. before his christmas battle.
the next two days were a shitfest. you father didn’t take into account how this would affect you. you had locked yourself in your bedroom, sobbing to the polaroid photos of you and you beloved boyfriend that you took together everyday.
of course, you’re mother does everything to comfort you after hearing what had happened, however you were inconsolable.
“mom, this is the boy i thought i was going to marry, you don’t just get over that.” you sigh. no amount of hugs could help you.
“in my opinion he was only a setback. you should be greatful he’s gone.” your father speaks up.
. .
. . . .
wait…
you practically yanked the door off its hinges, startling you mother who was sat on your bed in another fruitless attempt to console you. you had only just heard what your father said to himself, and in that moment you knew why chifuyu had broken up with you.
“IT WAS YOU! YOU TOLD CHIFUYU TO BREAK UP WITH ME, DIDN’T YOU”. you bawled to your father, his face in total astonishment that you had spoken to him in such a manner, especially on christmas night.
“YOU DON’T GIVE A SHIT ABOUT HIM, DO YOU DAD?? I SING HIS PRAISES EVERYDAY BUT ALL YOU TAKE HIM FOR IS A STUPID DELINQUENT! MAYBE IF YOU GOT TO KNOW HIM MORE, YOU’D SEE HE CARES ABOUT ME MORE THEN ANYTHING!” you scream towards your stunned father, guilt piling up in his stomach.
knowing what you had to do, you chucked a coat over your pijamas, your family yelling at you to come back inside.
you didn’t care, you had to get to your boyfriend.
though you didn’t make it very far, as chifuyu was stood right outside your house with tears welling in his eyes. he was battered beyond belief, uniform thrashed and body more blood then skin. he had a serious injury on his ankle and his bike was parked next to him.
“chifuyu..” you mumble out, running towards him, your arms opening wide.
“(Y/N)-” he couldn’t finish his sentence as you crashed into his embrace, one of your arms caress waist, with the other embracing his beaten cheek.
he held onto your shoulders, huddling into your warmth. he could only pray to the gods above that you’d forgive him.
“i’m so sorry (Y/N), please… i can’t do anything without you by my side. the entire fight i felt sick to my stomach, but not because i had been struck multiple times in it. it was because i couldn’t bare the thought of not being with you on christmas day. your tears were sewn into my memory, and i just couldn’t handle it.” he chokes out, huddling closer to you in a seek of comfort.
“it’s okay chifuyu, i forgive you.” you coo, his face was beaten to shit, but chifuyu could never not be adorable to you.
you were just happy to have your boyfriend in your arms once more.
in the distance, giggling can be heard from your mother as your father watches the interaction.
“i don’t know why you even tried breaking them up, don’t you see how whipped (Y/N) is for the kid? they do everything together. chifuyu has stayed over multiple times and had dinner with us so much i’m surprised he hasn’t pre-proposed.” she laughs.
“i guess i’ll take that hit. in my defense though, that kid only seems to come over when i’m not around!” your father complains, however your mother just holds his face.
“well, after these past few days i wouldn’t blame him if he avoids you all together.”

[ you & i ― blade ] "nobody messes with you, not on my watch." cw. gn!reader, fluff, a little crack, blade being the scary dog privileges he is, modern!au, a lil possessive bladie maybe? not intended to be yandere at all, reader had been made uncomfortable by someone, petname (darling), nobody died (sadly), probably ooc idk, not proofread // 660 words
aquamarine's findings. repost from old blog, i thought of this after a tiktok... still one of my favourite works me thinks !!
this was an odd scenario to say the least. you knew blade's work permitted him to be busy but it was never as busy as this - he'd been gone the whole day without so much as a text or call, did something bad happen to him? the overthinking eats you alive, gnawing at you as you pace your shared apartment that sits in silence without the presence of your stoic partner at your side. it wasn't like him to be gone this long. you was about to reach for your phone, sat on the kitchen counter that you'd paced by for minutes now when the front door clicked open, unlocked.
"blade?" you call out, shuffling quickly to the entry hall to see the dark haired man kicking over his shoes. it seems he's in no hurry to reassure or comfort you, as if he hadn't been gone the whole day while missing in action. he quirks a brow at your uneasy look, approaching as he wraps an arm around your waist and pulls you into his chest.
"what's that look for?" he mumbles, pressing a kiss to your head. you don't miss the faint smell of hospital cleaning products on his clothing nor how he had a busted lip and a few bandages wrapped around his left hand. your brows furrow, looking up at him in concern. yes, his work was rough but what the hell? why was he being so nonchalant about this?
"you've been to the hospital," you murmur, worry etched onto your face as you grasp his larger hand in your hands, inspecting the recently wrapped bandages. blade makes a noise, "what the hell have you been doing?"
"i ran into a friend of yours…" his voice trails off, straightening his back as he clears his throat and pulls his injured hand away from you, much to your dismay. instead, he leads you to the lounge with his right palm pressed to the small of your back.
a friend? none of your friends even remotely worked at a hospital - save for that one that quit a few years ago but that was besides the point. blade can basically hear the cogs turning in your mind before there's a click and your eyes widen. the previous night, you'd been out with friends when some guy had approached you and made you seriously uncomfortable. by the time you got home, you'd moved past it but you did stupidly raise it as a conversation topic to blade when you'd climbed into bed beside each other under the warmth of linen sheets - oh.
"hear me out…" blade groans as your gaze turns to him, narrowed as you place your hands on your hips. his hand reaches up to rub his temple, already prepared for how this was going to go.
"you put him in hospital?!" you exclaim. as crazy as this act was, it wasn't his first time pulling this type of scenario and especially not his first time considering his line of work. blade lets out a low chuckle, shrugging as he cups your chin, tipping your head to look up at him.
"i was aiming for the morgue," he sighs as if he's disappointed with the outcome before his slightly rougher lips find yours, dragging you into a cherished kiss that makes you forget the reason you were remotely angry for a few seconds, "it's just you and i, after all. i can't let him be a lingering thought."
scoffing with a faint warmth in your cheeks, you look away and jut your lower lip out. why did he have to be so enticing? he literally put someone in hospital, even after you'd reassured him that it was fine - your friends got involved on your behalf after all, making sure you was safe. you let out a defeated sigh, lightly hitting his shoulder.
"don't do it again." you mutter and blade grins, red eyes glinting deviously.
"no promises, darling."

Kart Racing bowuigi time, inspired by that infamous Luigi death glare
SO, Luigi takes racing very seriously, much more than most of the other pastimes he and his brother get involved with. Maybe because it's something he knows he's good at, maybe because he likes machines, maybe, somehow, going fast gets his blood pumping in a way that's not fear-based for once. It doesn't really come to much since everybody else mostly races for fun, but whenever Bowser starts trash-talking Luigi can't help but talk back.
Bowser doesn't mind, in fact it gets him even more fired up, and pretty soon the two of them have become rivals in this one very specific area. Once Mario is sure it's just trash-talking and Bowser doesn't mean Luigi any harm, he's even sort of supportive of it. Rivalry is almost like friendship and Bowser could use more of those.
Then Luigi shows up on race day with an injured arm. Bowser is furious. The injury won't keep Luigi from racing, but it'll definitely slow down his reaction time. How's Bowser supposed to gloat about his victory when Luigi's at a disadvantage? Who does he need to hurt in retaliation for this insult to his abilities?
Luigi is having none of this and replies that he could beat Bowser without using his injured arm at all. Bowser says fine! Prove it! Letting it rest will help you heal faster anyway!
(wait a minute)
Bowser does beat Luigi's time that race, but just like he thought gloating isn't any fun at all. Time passes, another race is comes up (maybe it's a tournament? I don't know how actual car racing structure works) and this time Bowser corners Luigi in an empty room to make sure Luigi is fighting fit.
There's trash talk, there's arguing, there's threats, and then they're looking at each other with their hearts pounding and blood pumping and suddenly all that passion turns into a kiss.
Making out, really. They only break apart when they both need to breathe, and even then Luigi can't remember why this is a bad idea. Bowser thinks it's the best idea he's had in years and suggests meeting up after his victory so he can show Luigi a new way to get pounded.
"First of all, who says it's new to me? And second, who says you're going to win?"
After some more back-and-forth, Luigi says, "Wanna bet?" Bowser says hell yeah he does, and they agree that whoever gets the better time gets to top.
It takes a while before what he's doing sinks in. Luigi never really thought of himself as someone who would treat sex like a game. The fact that it's Bowser he's playing with is a whole other level. But... is it really so bad, as long as they both want it? Just an agreement between two single adults. It doesn't have to be weird.
It's weird. But it's good, too.
After that the bet is on every time they race. From the outside it looks like Luigi and Bowser's rivalry has cooled a little bit. There's less trash talk, though it's no less pointed. A lot seems to be communicated between the two of them with just a glance and a gesture. If they hadn't already been seeking each other out every time it would almost be suspicious.
It's gone on for long enough that Luigi and Bowser have started getting more... creative when it comes to their bets, when something goes wrong. The track was pretty far from most of their homes, so the gang decided to stay overnight before and after the actual race.
And Mario catches Luigi sneaking back into his hotel room in the wee hours of the morning, with a very suspicious limp.
Luigi tries to brush it off, but there's a smug grin on Bowser's face when they're heading out, and he makes a joke being on Luigi's tail, and all of a sudden Luigi has to hold Mario back from throwing hands right then and there.

What is one head canon you have for every individual member of the chain?
only one headcanon for each of them? 🥺
Time: I’ve definitely said this one before, but he is not at all trying to be fatherly. He does care about the boys a lot, but his fatherly actions are all completely unintentional, he has no idea some of them look up to him like a dad, and he has yet to realize he looks at some of them as his kids. In his mind he’s just being kind and brotherly. He has a hard time expressing emotions and seriously struggles with facial expressions, which is why he comes off as so hard to approach and seems more responsible and dad like, but that’s not the case at all. He’s just as chaotic as the others and seriously is oblivious to how some of them look up to him
Warriors: I headcanon he comes from a family of tailors (which is a headcanon ive seen before) who own a small shop in the little village he comes from (he’s not originally a city boy to me, he became a city boy later in life). His family also owns a small farm and he had big dogs growing up. Had the war never happened he’d probably still be with them, taking over his mom’s shop because he was the one most interested in it (i also headcanon he has a lot of siblings)
Twilight: He needs people to take care of or he won’t take care of himself. He just falls into such a slump if there’s no one for him to look after because he feels useless and unneeded. He’s a serious hoverer when one of the others are injured but he feels bad for hovering so he ends up sitting on the opposite side of camp looking like a wet dog and it’s just so sad looking 😭
Sky: I know a lot of people make him super sleepy or give him asthma because of his low stamina in Skyward Sword and also because he just always seems tired in that game, but for me Sky has epilepsy, and that’s why he has periods of time where he’s just absolutely exhausted
Hyrule: Not afraid of much and has a stomach of steel. This kid will eat anything and everything and will be completely fine. Bonus extra headcanon: I think he’s older than Legend
Legend: I headcanon he’s autistic and struggles to control the tone of his voice, and that’s why he can come off pretty harsh. He doesn’t mean to, he’s seriously pretty chill (unless Warriors is involved), but he can come off as disinterested or snappy when he really doesn’t mean to
Wild: Actually extremely good at handling his emotions and dealing with problems (compared to the others). He knows he gets overwhelmed and while he’s not the best at telling someone where he goes to blow off steam, he knows how to hold himself back and handle himself, and he’s perfectly capable of defending himself if something happens when he goes off alone. Sometimes he just needs to be alone, and if he really CANT be alone because it’s too dangerous, Wolfie will trail after him just for backup and keep his distance
Four: BIG reader, he loves to curl up with a good book but it’s hard for him to get his alone time to focus on what he’s reading while he’s traveling with the others. He will make up stories in his head when he can’t sleep or actually focus, and he’s a really animated story teller. He’s told a lot of campfire stories and when he’s doing those it’s one of the very few times the others actually shut up
Wind: Dyslexic and seriously struggles to read, but he absolutely LOVES to draw and would doodle all the time during any lessons anyone tried to give him ever. Give this kid a sketchbook and he’ll literally draw you a masterpiece. He loves sketching scenery and the others and he’s FREAKY good at it

"He's new..."
♥︎ Blue lock boys see you moving on (Part 2 to "We're Over...") ♥︎
Tumblr media
For @furiousenemylover, sorry for doing this so late! Life gets in the way.
Bachira sinks into denial. Of course you would end up with Isagi. His best friend spoils and loves you. He doesn't play around with your emotions the way he used to. He takes you seriously, respects and adores you the way you deserve. He supports your relationship completely. He sinks his nails so deep into his skin that it leaves behind red crest marks, lips swollen because of how deep his teeth are sinking into them, and his throat is closes, practically blocked out, but it's all fine. Ignore the red in his eyes. It's not a big deal.
Reo throws himself into a new relationship, who cares that you're now involved with Nagi. You guys dated for a bit and now you're over, you're allowed to be with other people. Nagi is one of his closest friends and he's so happy that you two are together. He's engaged, with a woman that's going to help his company prosper and give him political power. He doesn't need you anymore- doesn't even think of you. Forget the fact that he keeps his eyes on you throughout the entirety of his wedding. The ring that was meant to be for you, rusting away in his pocket, but never thrown out.
Nagi takes too long to realise that this really happening. He can't play the fool forever, eventually reality starts to hit and it's an extremely painful revelation. He sees you with Reo and that's when it all comes crashing down. He loves his best friend, but seeing you two hand in hand makes his stomach turn. He loved you so much- how could he let you go? Let the best thing in his life just slip from his fingers? He should have fought for you, but he didn't. And now it's too late.
Rin throws himself into soccer. This is all he has now, he can't waste it. He aggravates his teammates, yells at fans, starts fights with referees because of how horribly violent he's become while playing. He gets injured, but he plays anyway. The pain doesn't matter. It's seeing you with Sae of all people that breaks him. His brother, prioritising something besides soccer and you looking so happy tears him apart. He can't do it anymore. He doesn't care if doing this much kills him. He can't handle all this pain.
Chigiri tries to take care of himself, but he's drowning in his sorrows. Nothing with him is the same. His clothes are a little ruffled, hairs are out of place, he's not the same person that he was before your breakup. You being with Kunigami makes him want to scream. You're with someone better then he'll ever be. If he was barely taking care of himself before, now he's nothing. He lost you, what's the point? His cynicism has been proven true.
Sae has frozen his heart. He's always been cruel but he doesn't bother to restrain it anymore. He doesn't need or want anyone's support, he's not going through anything. He's fine. You're with Shido now, and he doesn't hide his critique. It's pathetic, disgusting, relationships only hold you back from what's most important. They accept me completely' Shido says and he bites his tongue so hard that the coppery taste of blood fills his mouth. Somehow, the pain is comforting. He doesn't say more, but his head is flooded with want and desire. What could have been. It's fine. He can push it all away.

The loud banging on your door that night was the last thing you expected. This has ruined your plans for a peaceful night of sleep.
Groaning, you dragged yourself out of bed and walked to the door, only to be met by a battered man barely standing on his own feet. Another thing stood behind him was a massive figure with a bird skull for a head.
"I need your assistance, Sekhmet!" Figure yelled, slamming the staff to the ground. "Don't pretend you're not here! I recognize this tiny human as your avatar."
This was when your Goddess decided to enter the picture. Her sight wasn't anything out of the ordinary; you were used to seeing a large human-like figure with a lioness head. "What's the point of bothering us, Khonshu?" She growled, exposing her fangs as you cupped the man's cheek to examine it.
"He's been seriously injured. I can't let him go to the hospital or any medical facility, we need to keep our heads down," Khonshu responded by tilting his head. "Will you assist us? Or are you going to let this poor thing bleed to death right now in front of your door?"
"Do you not have your robes? You can heal him by yourself. There's no need to bother me or my avatar," the goddess frowned as she spoke.
Khonshu hit the floor of a staircase with his staff a few times, one hand on his hip. "Suits are for other people. This one didn't get any, so I can't keep him alive. Do you still have any questions before the man bleeds? Maybe a form to fill out? I require your assistance."
Sekhmet laughed sarcastically. "You always lacked even the most basic manners, Khonshu. This will never change," she said as she bowed her head and looked down at you. "Y/N, take him in."
Nodding, you took the man's arm and draped it over your shoulder to assist him in walking into your flat.
Jake could barely move his legs; he felt as if he had lost control of his body, but he managed to follow you inside, grunting with each step.
Khonshu nodded to the goddess as a thank you.
Goddess ignored it and disappeared, only to reappear inside with you.
You assisted the man in getting on the couch and immediately began to examine his body to determine what you were dealing with.
Jake couldn't help but grumble when you touched his belly.
"You poor thing," you said quietly, standing up to get your first aid kit.
"Who'd have guessed Khonshu would choose someone like this as his avatar?" Sekhmet muttered as he leaned over the couch to look at Jake.
You quickly returned to him and moved his shirt up to treat the wound first. "There is a reason for this. You don't pick avatars at random."
"He's my vengeance's fist," Khonshu said. "And he's a natural at it. What did you mean by that, little person?"
The lioness laughed loudly. "If this is how he looks after delivering your vengeance, you made a bad decision. You have to be desperate."
Khonshu yelled, "Apologize! Take a look at your avatar! I won't apologize to you!" She declared proudly, "Right now, your avatar's life is in my and her hands, so behave."
"PLEASE!" You yelled loudly, looking at both gods. "I want to help him and the two of you arguing over my head make it hard to concentrate.”
"She's right," Khonshu pointed his staff at you. "Smart, little worm."
Jake groaned when you started cleaning his wound.
"You are like a wind," Sekhmet said, sighing deeply. "The soon she is done, the sooner you leave."
With that, the goddess was gone and you sighed deeply, finally being able to focus on man's injuries.
"Who is she?" Jake asked looking at Khonshu.
"She's the avatar, just like you are," the god replied.
"Hi there," you said with a smile. "Bad news, whatever happened, you got it really bad. Good news, you'll survive."
"Yeah, if you'll patch me up and not him," he pointed at the god, "Then I'm more than sure I'll survive, doll."
"Positive fella, I can see," you chuckled and took the bandage to finally wrap his stomach. After that you were a bit closer to cleaning the wound on his forehead. "Other injuries aren't too serious. You will be back on your feet in a few days."
Jake pressed his palm against your cheek, his calloused thumb rubbing the softness of your skin. "I appreciate it."
"You're welcome, but I'd appreciate it if you didn't get any blood on me," you smiled and gently pushed his hand away from your cheek. When you finished with his forehead, you stood up and went to the kitchen to get a wet towel to clean and wrap his knuckles.
"Where did you get such a beautiful friend, Khonshu?" Jake asked, his brow furrowed and he hissed slightly as he felt a sharp pain spread across his chest and stomach.
"Long story. We won't get into that right now. Maybe I'll tell you a bedtime story one day."
"She is just an avatar of an actual friend, human," Sekhmet said, leaning over Jake as she appeared in the room again. "You should be grateful for our assistance, you pathetic man."
All you could do at this point was sigh deeply while gently washing Jake's hands.
"And I was certain that nothing would surprise me after speaking to a bird skull. Nonetheless, es curioso que aparezcas ahora,"  Jake retorted, a little harshly.
"Show some dignity, you pitiful, little thing. You ended up at our mercy because of him, and you dare to speak to me like that?" Goddess snarled.
Jake turned around to face you. "I hope your goddess is kinder to you. You deserve to be taken care of."
Khonshu poked Sekhmet in the ribs. "May we talk? Allow them to do their jobs."
"For now, only my avatar is doing any work, but fine, let's talk," she gave a nod.
You laughed when they both left the two of you alone. "She's nice to me. I have a feeling she isn't pleased with Khonshu's presence. If this is the state Khonshu has led you to, I should be more concerned about your well-being."
"Knowing his nature, I'd be surprised if he had other friends among gods. They all hate him, he's a misfit," Jake chuckled a little, a strong cough followed. "And this," he pointed to his body, "It was just an accident, that's on me, not him."
"He should look after you no matter what," you explained simply, putting away the towel that had been used to clean his palms. "You'll stay with me until I'm confident I can let you go."
"It's unnecessary? You've already helped, and believe me, I don't want to hear your goddess's whining."
"It wasn't a request, sweetie, it was a statement," you said, smiling. "You stay here until you're ready to leave."
He supported himself on his elbows. "Gracias."
Meanwhile, Khonshu and Sekhmet went to another room. "Is it really necessary for you to behave in this manner? In my direction?"
"You barge in, demanding my assistance and insulting my avatar. Do you expect me to submit to you?" Sekhmet inquired, crossing arms over her chest.
"I came here to seek assistance. You were the first to spout insults, as you always are."
"You should be grateful that I welcomed you here. Like others, I should condemn you and let your avatar die," she snarled.
"Is there anything I've ever done to you? No, I don't believe so. Besides, our avatars appear to like one another."
"Like," scoffed Sekhmet. "Y/N is overall a nice person, she works as a nurse and helps people, she's  fond of everyone."
"Jake doesn't, and it's unusual for him to be nice to anyone, so I can already say he detected goodness in her."
"Someone is rescuing his ass. The last thing he'd do was try to be mean. Particularly to my avatar," the goddess sighed. "I'm actually surprised you decided to come here."
"What else could I possibly do? He's far too valuable to me."
"So valuable that you let him get to this point. Do you still believe someone is attempting to resurrect Ammit? Is that why you're dragging this poor soul around?" Sekhmet inquired, intrigued.
"I don't think so, I'm certain this is what it is, and I'm at least trying to do something about it, to prevent many innocent people from dying. Of course, you and others have different opinions, I'm aware, but you're mistaken."
"You know I can have a different opinion but it doesn't depend on me, sadly."
Khonshu nodded, confirming he understood.
Meanwhile, you were fully done with taking care of Jake's injuries. "There. All done. You should try and sleep now to let your body rest."
As his hand caught yours, he nodded. "Muchas gracias."
Since his hand was so bruised, you squeezed it gently. "No problem. I will get you a blanket. If you will need anything, call me."
"You already helped me, I don't want to overuse your hospitality."
"I mean it," you said, covering him with a blanket. "It should keep you warm and cozy. If you feel unwell or something is happening, just call me. My door will be open, so I will definitely hear you."
"Sólo quería decirte que ni siquiera sé tu nombre," he protested.
"It's Y/N," you smiled. "Khonshu! I'm done with your friend. Check to make sure he does not try to escape."
Khonshu glanced at Sekhmet and thanked her. After making it to the living room, he decided to look at Jake on his own. There was no doubt that his avatar looked weak, bruised, and exhausted. "Lockley, next time, be careful. Only you have left for me."
Seeing you, Sekhmet said, "You should rest. I can tell you're tired."
"I am going, I am going. Don't worry," you said, walking to your room.
Khonshu sat in the chair and crossed his legs. "Rest, Lockley. You're much needed. Gather your strength for what's ahead."
Tumblr media
Jake opened his eyes after some time. He looked at his watch and discovered it was only 5 am. In an attempt to find a bathroom, he reluctantly sat up and got up from the bed.
Despite the fact that you were still asleep in your bedroom, the doors were open just as you had promised. Usually, if someone walks around your flat, you'd wake up, but Jake's visit was so late that you really needed sleep.
Jake, noticing the open door, peered in and, seeing you sleeping, tugged on your sheets. He took a look around and decided to limp around the flat. He found the bathroom in the process.
In the end, you sat up and rubbed your eye, a tiny bit awoken. "Jake... Are you okay?"
He stopped by your door as he was returning from the bathroom. "Lo siento, bebé, I didn't mean to wake you up."
"It's fine. I don't have a good night's sleep. You shouldn't be walking like this," you said slowly.
"The patches you applied yesterday made me feel fine."
As you walked up to him, you sighed deeply. "I'm glad you do, but the wound on your stomach didn't look good. You should be very careful when moving."
His breath hitched a bit as he said, "I am. You should also return to bed to get some more rest."
"First, I will help you get to the couch, but I don't like you sleeping on it with an injury like that," you said grimly. "Maybe I'll put you in my bed."
"Don't bother yourself, por favor.”
"If you say so," you sighed, letting him lean on you. "Even so, I don't like that you sleep on the couch."
He remained silent as you brought him back to the living room and let him nestle on the couch.
"Do you need anything? Nothing hurts?"
"Just the stomach. Overall it's alright."
"Well, it wasn't the smallest wound..." You said as you walked slowly to the kitchen. After a short moment, you returned to him with a pill and a glass of water. "This should help you."
He accepted both and easily swallowed the pill, downing the glass of water immediately. "Gracias. I have no idea how I'll repay you. You're so kind."
You shrugged and explained, "The most gratifying reward would be not showing up here in such a state again. This is how I am. Guess it's coming from being a nurse."
"So you're a nurse? That explains your medical knowledge and the gentleness with which you treat others in need."
"Yeah, it does explain some things. Additionally, Sekhmet gives me more opportunities that are more like a curse... But they do help sometimes."
"Lo mismo con Khonshu."
"We both are cursed in some way," you joked before patting him on the shoulder. "Rest some more, Jake."
When you returned back to your bedroom, Jake slipped one hand under his head to feel more comfortable. The wound on his stomach didn't give him a second of rest so he rethought everything that had happened to him.
Tumblr media
In the morning, he overslept for the pain vanished sometime after the pill you administered to him.
You slept more than usual, thankfully it was your week off. The first thing you did after getting up was check on Jake, making sure he was fine. The man was fine and still asleep, so instead of disturbing him, you headed to the kitchen.
"Y/N, you've known me for a while, and you know how difficult it is for me to say that but I'm grateful for your assistance," it was Khonshu, peering into the kitchen.
You squeaked loudly and twitched in your place, almost dropping the bread you were holding in your hands. Being used to Sekhmet was one thing, you were not used at all to another Egyptian god hunting you. "Y-You are welcome, Khonshu, but please, don't scare me like that anymore."
He assured, "It wasn't my intention, little human. How did you and Sekhmet get along?"
"Apparently she was lurking around the hospital where I work. She picked me, for some strange reason," you explained. "Why are you bothering this man? He is not well.”
"He's strong and due to his personal issues, I can say he's easily manipulated, it's useful for my purposes."
"He is not mentally stable. I can feel diseases because of the abilities Sekhmet provides me with. His mind is like... One... But varying in three different ways," you shook your head. "What you are doing isn't fair."
"Vengeance is not always fair, my little human. Sometimes it requires a real sacrifice which Jake provides perfectly. The universe isn't a fair place."
"You truly think anyone will believe your silly accusations while your avatar is in such a poor state?” Sekhmet asked, appearing in the room.
"You again? I'm speaking with your avatar who at least knows how to be respectful."
"I am respectful when I have a reason to be respectful. Right now I would hit you so hard that your stupid skull would break," you growled. "You are using this man."
"And it started. Time to vanish for a while," and with that, Khonshu disappeared.
Shaking your head, you began to prepare breakfast and coffee for yourself and your patient. You felt angry and really wished you could do something. With a heavy sigh, you walked to the living room once everything was ready. You set the plates and cups on the coffee table. Then, you sat on the couch next to Jake and gently stroked his hair. "Hey. Time to wake up."
Reluctantly, with a loud gasp, he opened his eyes and looked directly at your face. "Buenos días."
"I didn't expect to have a guest in the middle of the night. I apologize for the simple breakfast."
"I apologize for bothering you."
You scolded him, drinking your coffee. "I'll smack you if I hear something like this again."
He nodded, sitting up. " ¿Dónde ha desaparecido? Nevermind, wonderful. I don't even know where he left me."
"In safe hands. Don't worry. Eat up, you need to regain your strength," you advised Jake to focus on the breakfast and he didn't ask any further questions.
Tumblr media
An entire two weeks have passed.
Jake was under your strict care and you nursed him back to life. You were troubled by his mental state, but there was nothing you could do about it. The most difficult part was that Sekhmet's worst dream happened, and you fell for Jake.
"You're back to normal. No bruises, no more wounds, and no scars," you smiled and touched his stomach to make sure he was fine.
Nodding slowly, he looked down at your palm pressed against his abdomen; he was indeed afraid of scarring, but on the other hand, he already has a few so one more would not make any difference to him. "Would it be possible for me to repay your hospitality in some way?"
"I said the night you got here. The most appropriate repay would be not showing up all beaten up," you responded and decided to add a small joke, "And a date maybe."
A frown appeared on his face as Jake fixed his eyes on yours. "A date? With you?"
You blushed deeply, looking at him. Of course, he wouldn't want that. "Oh, it was just a joke," you waved your hand as you walked away.
As soon as you disappeared into the kitchen, Sekhmet lean over Jake. "Don't even think about this human," she huffed angrily.
" ¿Qué tienes en mente? " He frowned, looking directly at the goddess.
She warned, "If you get any closer to her, Khonshu will need to find a new avatar."
"I have no fucking clue what you're talking about or what you're thinking."
"You must know what I mean, pathetic human. I can feel how you look at her and this disgusts me," Sekhmet growled softly.
"Your avatar is pretty, so what can I do? You could have chosen one that was uglier."
The goddess snarled, "Men. All the same. Touch her and I'll bite your head off."
"If she wants this, I can't stop her. I thought all the goddesses were slightly gentler, but you aren't superior to Khonshu," Jake grinned nastily and decided to join you in the kitchen.
"Is everything fine?” you asked, noticing him in the kitchen. "You don't feel well?"
"When would be a good time for us to meet up? Are you available next week?" Jake asked simply, looking over your shoulder at the dishes you were cleaning.
Blinking, you looked at him again, blushing. "Jake, I was just joking. There's no need to, you know..."
He spotted a small magnetic board on your fridge so he approached it, took a marker, and wrote his address down. "In case you change your mind one day, chiquita."
As you watched him, you were able to do nothing but nod.
His belongings were soon gathered and he left.
Tumblr media
Such an opportunity couldn't be missed. You wanted to see Jake, talk to him, or simply spend more time with him for some strange reason. Despite Sekhmet's growls and warnings, you packed your bag, wrote down the address, and headed there.
Jake was surprised when he heard an intercom ring - he was even more surprised when he heard your sweet tone. After opening the door for you, he proceeded to put on a simple t-shirt.
You walked up the stairs and along the narrow corridor.
”You are making a serious mistake, Y/N! Khonshu and his avatar should not be associated with us!” The goddess growled, trying her finest to turn you around.
You simply explained to her, knocking on Jake's flat door, "It's not happening. I am just a human. I have my needs too. Please ignore all the stupid arguments you gods have between yourselves right now. Now, leave me alone."
Jake opened the door, smiling mischievously. "Well, well, I didn't expect to see you here. What a pleasant surprise," he shifted aside, letting you inside his flat. "Forgive me, it's a wee bit messy."
As you stepped in, you waved your hand happily. "I couldn't say no since you invited me here. So, here I am!"
Your body was lustrated from bottom to top. You were so sexy that the only thing he could do was a smirk. "Drink?"
"I'd like some tea if it's not a problem. Would it be okay if I stayed maybe a few days? It's a bit of a ride for me to get here."
Jake informed with a sweet tone, "I will prepare the room for you and make you tea."
"Room? Shouldn't I sleep on the sofa, as I made you?”
"You're too precious to sleep on a simple couch," Jake replied before disappearing into the kitchen. "Make yourself at home!"
"Thank you for your kind words," you said as you sat down on the couch, putting your bag down.
Soon, he returned with a cup of tea.
After accepting the cup, you took a sip, humming happily. It was a delicious tea. "Missed me? And I hope Khonshu doesn't mind me being near you."
"Khonshu told me you'd come, but I didn't believe him."
"Surprise!" You giggled. "Sekhmet didn't want me to come here, but I wanted to have a bit of my own life."
"What did she tell you?"
"You make a colossal mistake! We shouldn't be associated with Khonshu! He will ruin your life!" You shouted, trying to mimic Sekhmet's voice. "Am I the only one who thinks that there was something between them in the past?”
"For fuck's sake, I already thought they were ex-couple who hated one another because of their breakup."
"Right! They act like this so much! Perhaps she doesn't want me near you..." You said slowly, tapping your cheek, "Because if we got together, possibly, they would be stuck together again.”
"Us together, huh? Suena perfecto. Khonshu wouldn't have anything against her, since she jumps on him all the time. Isn't she?"
You laughed loudly and nodded, shrugging. She is a woman and a big cat packed in one body, so I guess that makes her a deadly combination for men."
"And he is a man and... well, a dead bird, so I have no idea what to expect."
"I have no idea what to expect as well, but they are gods and we all know that they are always a bit messed up," you whispered.
Jake walked to the kitchen and returned with an ashtray and a bottle of cognac.
The two of you simply started talking while the two gods watched.
"Pathetic," Sekhmet scoffed, seeing how you giggled at Jake's words.
"Lovely. She is happy," Khonshu commented. "He's able to make her giggle like a little girl."
"I know what she feels in him. He is twisted. He will play with her and leave, breaking her heart," the goddess concluded.
"Apparently, he likes your avatar. As soon as he's happy, I'm happy as well, even though it's a struggle."
She scoffed once again deeply, annoyed by Khonshu's words. “Since when are you happy with your avatar? They are nothing more than sacks of meat for you. I don't care if they like each other, just as you didn't care all those centuries ago."
"Maybe you could finally shut up, huh?" Asked Khonshu in a mocking tone.
Hersing, she pointed right at him and asked, "Shut up about what? Did you forget your faults? How did you abandon me and my feelings?"
Khonshu turned his skull head away. "You were always grumpy. What did you expect? Always demanding, never giving anything of yourself."
"I was giving you a lot. You always demanded more than I could give you so don't put the blame on me," she muttered, crossing arms over her chest.
"You know I had some significant feelings for you. You were the one to always push me aside."
"This is simply a lie! You pushed me away!" She roared.
At this point, you were sitting on Jake's lap with your arms wrapped around his neck as the two of you listened to the gods. You couldn't believe anything you heard. "I don't think they are aware we hear them..." You whispered with a smile dancing on your lips.
Jake massaged your hips, smirking wryly. There is no way I can imagine Khonshu having an affair with Sekhmet. Is it even possible for someone like him to fall in love? I was told gods were above us and ordinary human feelings."
"Well it's difficult to believe, but most gods have their positive and negative sides," you hummed softly. Despite always being above all, they tend to fall for the simplest things."
"Hard not to agree with you, preciosa mía."
"Do you like me? Despite me being her avatar?" You asked shyly, getting more comfortable on his lap. "Or do you see me more as he sees her?"
"I like you and have liked you since the beginning."
Blinking surprised, you smiled softly and cupped his face to pull him into a gentle kiss.
He groaned in the kiss and his grasp on your hips tightened. "You taste so sweetly."
Once you pulled away, you giggled, "You taste like alcohol and cigarettes. I think we are giving them another reason to be angry, but I don't give a damn. Not in the slightest."
"We have known each other for less than a few weeks, and I already have you on my lap, clingy as a little kitten. I like it," said Jake, smirking.
"Maybe it's because we are avatars? They were together so now we feel it, in some strange way?" Humming, you moved your hand up his chest. "Or perhaps it's just because you're handsome and my type."
"¿Soy tu tipo? " He teased. "How come?"
"Oh, don't make me say that!" Whining, you blushed deeply, moving on his lap. "You are handsome and I love your voice."
"Is that everything, chiquita? "
"The way you speak..." You sighed dreamily.
"Is calling you some sweet nicknames turning you on, chica bonita? "
Feeling that your cheeks were burning, you covered your face and nodded. This was a bit too much and you tried to slip off his lap, but Jake didn't let you do so.
"Where do you think you're going, gatita? "
"Away. I'm burning like dry wood. It's stupid since I don't even know you that well, but I can't help myself," you sighed.
It might be true what you said before. They were close centuries ago, and because of that, we feel a common attraction," Jake's hand ran over your waist.
"Yes..." You nodded slowly, getting lost in his dark eyes. "But in the end, you know what?"
"¿Qué?"
As you said this quietly, you moved closer to him. "I have nothing against it. I just don't know how you feel about it."
Stroking the curves of your waist, he let out a deep hum. "Aún no lo sé."
With a soft smile, you cupped his cheek. "Let's maybe try then, cariño," you hummed before kissing him.
"Try what?" He kept on teasing you.
"First, you could try and stop being a tease," you giggled, tapping his nose playfully. "Can we be together? Because I really want you, if I may be honest."
"You're so quick to jump to being bold about things."
As you kissed his jawline, you moved on to his neck soon after. "Oh, please. Is that so bad? Please, Jake, please. I need you..."
"Oh, mi pequeña, you need me? Need me in what sense?"
Smiling, you turned on his lap to finally straddle him properly. Using a quiet hum, you moved your palms down his chest and soon under his shirt. "I need you to fuck me, I want you to fuck me hard. I want everyone to know that you fuck me and that you are doing a fucking good job."
When Khonshu heard you say the things you did, he looked at Sekhmet. “I think your avatar is very bold regarding her needs. Cute. If they ever end up together, their babies will be very beautiful."
Jake smiled at you and stroked your cheek with his thumb. "Mírate a ti mismo. Such a pretty girl, such a filthy mouth."
"Please..." You whimpered and turned your head to wrap your soft lips around his thumb, sucking it.
"She will be heartbroken just like I was," the goddess groaned and vanished, tired of the show she was witnessing.
"Maybe she will be the happy one. I already can tell Jake is into her," Khonshu replied before vanishing as well.
Jake observed you carefully. “Eres una perrita mala, Y/N."
"Maybe..." You replied, letting go of his thumb. "I just feel the urge to have you, to fuck you, to be close with you, as close as possible."
"You barely know me," he teasingly said, pulling you off his lap so he could get up. As he did, he took his t-shirt off and tossed it on the floor.
"Despite that, you undressed for me and kissed me," you teased him back, copying his moves while removing your own shirt.
"Did I let you do that?" He asked, his eyebrows cocked.
"I barely know you. "You think I'll wait or listen to your orders?" You asked, raising an eyebrow with a cocky smile.
"If you want to have your tiny pussy fucked, I'd suggest you obey or act like a real slut I know you're hiding beneath the facade of reticence."
"I will be a good girl," you promised with a cocky smirk still on your lips.
He cupped your boobs and gave them a solid squeeze. "I like them. Take your fucking bra off."
As you let out a gasp, you slowly unclasped your bra in preparation for throwing it aside.
"Take your jeans off."
Obeying once again, you got up from the couch and slowly removed your pants, making sure to proudly show off your curves.
"Good girl. Now, tell me what you would like me to do. Leave the panties on, linda."
As you leaned over the couch, you showed off your round ass. "I'd like you to fuck me hard until I can't whimper your name anymore. Oh, Jake!" You moaned his name.
During Jake's tug-of-war with his jeans, you could hear a buckle being undone and some fabric shifting. Soon, his palm palmed your buttock, lightly slapping it.
Gasping loudly in surprise, you looked over your shoulder. "So this is how you like it?" You asked, shaking your butt.
"Shut your sweet mouth, gatita," he spanked you harder and soon grabbed your hair, pulling on it.
"Fuck," you whimpered, biting your lip to prevent yourself from making another remark.
"Who had been a naughty, little nurse, huh?"
As much as it was possible for you, you nodded, looking at him as much as you could. "I was a very naughty, little nurse."
In the process of massaging your ass, Jake finally slipped his hand between your thighs and rubbed viciously the damp stain on your panties before catching them to push the fabric aside. Suddenly, Jake pushed himself into you with full force. But fuck, you were so wet that there’s no resistance, his cock slipping through your soaked cunt all the way down to the hilt with such ease it nearly pulled him to his orgasm simultaneously. It’s apparently all he needed for the final tether of his resolve to snap because he’s slamming into you with such force that the entire couch rocked along the thrusts.
You let out a loud moan, then you exhaled a heavy gasp at the feeling of his cock spreading you. It was a long time since you fucked with anyone, and how you missed it! Trying to steady yourself somehow, you grabbed onto the couch.
Jake rocked in and out of you at a brutal pace that had your thighs trembling already. The hands on your hip bones were pulling you back onto his cock to meet each thrust, somehow pushing him even deeper against something utterly devastating inside you.
Whimpering his name, you grabbed hold of the couch and moved your hips to meet his thrusts. Your bending over the couch made it even better, making you feel his every move. "Fuck, Jake!"
Then he was pressing his forehead to your shoulder blade, back arched over you, and his curls tickling the curve of your neck. He found a different angle at which to hit that blinding spot inside you. His lips were pressing against your skin in gentle kisses underneath your ear. It felt feather light in comparison to the harsh grind of his hips against your own.
You reached out to touch him, simply wanting more of him. The way he pounded into you and hit all the right spots made you see stars. Soon, your walls started to tighten around his cock as you neared your climax.
Suddenly, Jake pulled out of you, knelt on the couch, and attacked your exposed sex with his mouth; the urge to taste you was unbearable.
"What the... Fuck!” You moaned the last part loudly, grasping the couch to steady yourself.
He kept on eating you out, humming from time to time, massaging your ass. "What? Did you think I'd skip tasting that cunt of yours?"
Humming, you looked down at him as you said, "I hoped you wouldn't, but I hoped I could cum around that thick cock of yours. Could we move to a different spot because my legs won't hold me any longer?"
He pulled back and grabbed your hips, pulling you to himself, waiting politely for you to take a more comfortable position.
You sighed deeply as he pulled you away from the couch. As much as you loved him fucking you, this wasn't the most comfortable position. "Time for me to have some fun. Sit on the couch, sweetie."
With an eye-roll, he followed your instruction and sat on the couch.
"Don't roll your eyes, love. Because I can finish myself any time," you said, falling on his lap, clutching his member. Your palm started to gently stroke the thick shaft.
Lockley bit his lower lip to muffle a moan that was about to escape his lips.
"You like it, don't ya? I bet you like it when I play with your tip," you whispered, using your thumb to tease him.
"Stop fucking teasing," he rolled his head back, grunting, his palms grasped your hips strongly.
Of course, you didn't stop. Instead, your other palm moved to his balls. You worked on his cock while massaging his balls. "Make me, baby."
He whined loudly, the sound he made was almost animalistic.
At the sound he just made, you chuckled and sank down onto his shaft. The sweet feeling of him filling you up again made you moan.
One hand was placed on your waist, while the other cupped your buttock and squeezed it slightly.
"So good. Fuck!" You gasped, moving up and down, rolling your hips from time to time. Your hands rested on his shoulders.
"¡Dios mío, eres tan sexy!" Jake gasped and pulled you tighter to his groin to buck his hips into you at a rough pace.
Moaning his name over and over again, you soon reached your climax, cumming around him.
You kept getting fucked until he finally pushed you off, got up, jerked himself several times, and shot his thick cum at your boobs.
Using your finger, you scooped some of his cum and hummed loudly as you put it into your mouth, whispering, "We have a tits lover here."
He leaned down and kissed you, tasting himself on your tongue.
You purred into the kiss, kissing him back. Once he pulled away, you smiled at him sweetly. "I liked it and I want more... In the future."
"Ya wanna stay here?" He asked casually, grabbing his jeans and putting them back on.
Watching him you blinked, surprised by his sudden offer. "Stay? You mean like permanently?"
Rather temporary, just so we can get to know each other first?"
You nodded, laughing softly. "I will gladly. I planned to stay a few days anyway, remember? Or did blew it outta your mind?"
"There will be plenty of nights to fuck things from me.”
"Oh, I bet," you nodded once again and sighed deeply. "Khonshu and Sekhmet will be pissed as fuck."
"You think?"
Suddenly, Khonshu appeared right next to you. "As far as I can tell, the intercourse turned out well and you were happy with how he treated you."
Just as suddenly as Khonshu, Sekhmet appeared as well, but right in front of Jake. Snarling, she said, "Dare to break my avatar's heart and I will snap your neck like a twig."
Jake looked directly at the goddess. "I'm sure you heard her singing for me, dear. We're adults and you gods don't understand something as basic as love, so don't try to stir the shit. ¿Tengo razón?"
Goddess poked Jake's chest, then turned to you, saying, "You don't know what love is. Not with Khonshu by your side. And you better be careful."
Jake reached for your jeans and offered them to you, wrapping a protective arm around you. “We'll soon fuck the shit out of them."
Humming, you nuzzled him, nodding a little. "The only thing that matters to me is being with you, regardless of what they both say."

water and oil
enemies to lovers(?) request from @sodapop182 hopefully i did ok LMAOOOO
Tumblr media
if you were to ask anyone how neteyam and y/n got together… they couldn’t tell you. because they honestly have no clue either.
the two na’vi growing up, we’re like water and oil. the two never got along when they were younger. then to add to the “rivalry” they had siblings. thus, making them both the eldest of their families.
both of them were extremely protective of their younger siblings.
neteyam had to responsibly of the oldest to watch lo’ak and kiri, plus tuk ... sometimes even spider and it was a lot for one kid.
y/n had to watch her younger brother kri’olo who instantly became best friends with lo’ak. then came her sister lowal, who usually stuck by herself she’s she’s more quiet and reserved.
y/n didn’t have as many siblings as neteyam, however the stress of watching younger kids is still there.
one day as she was around the age of 13, she was watching her brother run around with lo’ak. a small smile of her face as she heard her brothers genuine laugh.
she kept the small smile on her face until she her him.
“i see that you’re starting to make stalking a new habit of yours?” neteyam questioned teasingly
she rolled her eyes as the smile dropped from her face.
“no i’m not stalking. if anything you’re the one that’s stalking since you’ve clearly been watching me. why are you even here” she angrily said
“i’m here to watch over my brother and make sure yours doesn’t do something to him.” he stated as if it was obvious.
she furrowed her brows” and whipped her head over to his. “why would my brother start something? if anyone was to start an issue it would be your brother.. since you know, creating issues runs in your family. i mean you do it so well!” she sarcastic declared
he rolled his eyes so far back y/n was pretty sure he could see what little brain he had in his head.
“oh whatever” he scoffed
“you know, since you’re annoying me i would much rather go and be with lo’ak instead of you” he declared while starting to stand up
she made her way over to the two boys who were playing tag.
neteyam watched as she joined in on the game. he saw how carefree she looked in that moment. how she was able to have fun while watching her sibling and not constantly worry.
he envied her.
he wants to join in on the fun, but knowing his luck someone would get injured and he would get a lecture from his father.
so instead he chose to sit back and watch how she was able to live life with the ability to have fun. neteyam always had this weight in his shoulders.
he always felt like he had to become the perfect son for his family and the clan. he was the eldest of toruk makto. he had to be perfect. he can’t be fooling around like children.
yet he still longed to be able to.
he wanted to make y/n smile like how lo’ak was able to.
imagine the two of them getting along and just running through pandora, with not a care in the world as smiles adorned their faces. one could only hope.
__
two years passed to where they were both 15 years old. the two were pretty much the same. still arguing about absolutely nothing yet everything at the same time.
whenever the two started to argue, the people of the clan just turned the other way and walked off since they’re used to the fighting.
it was just the two of them now and they were still involved in a heavy argument. as the years passed their petty arguments started to grow more and more heated to the point where they’re both in each others faces with scowls.
the topic of the argument was currently on behavior. neteyam passed a comment about how y/n never took anything seriously and y/n passed a comment about how neteyam only took things seriously.
“i just don’t understand why you can’t just focus and not be so lighthearted about everything!what if we were in a battle huh? oh who am i kidding, you probably wouldn’t even take that seriously!” neteyam yelled
“well maybe because i don’t have a stick shoved up my ass neteyam! it’s not that hard! not everything in life is so serious!” y/n snapped
“oh really? you try being the next head of the clan! that’s serious y/n! important to the clan even! i wouldn’t expect you to know anything about being important to the clan anyway.” he stated with a scowl on his face
y/n’s eyes widened as she took in his words. she stopped flailing her arms in anger and let them drop down towards her side. her ears started to lower. the major sign that neteyam knew he screwed up.
“you know what? you’re right. i’m not important to clan like how you are neteyam. i probably never will be in all honesty. but to take your anger out on me is exhausting. i’ve had it! you make me exhausted neteyam. i’m done.” she stated while sighing. you could see the pain in her eyes from his comment, however she didn’t dare cry infront of him. she wouldn’t give him another thing to throw back into her face.
she turned around and started to walk away until she felt a hand on her wrist.
“w-wait i didn’t mean what i said. i really didnt. you mean a lot to the clan and i’m sorry for everything i’ve just said to you. you don’t deserve it all” he said while avoiding eye contact
she didn’t say anything. she also avoided eye contact with him.
the tension between the two was suffocating
“i guess i’ve just been always jealous of you and now it’s finally made it’s way to the surface” he said while looking up trying to make eye contact with her.
she snapped her head up so fast it will probably be sore tomorrow.
“you. jealous of me? HAH what.” she asked astonished.
“i guess watching you grow up and be able to mess around with your siblings, even my siblings and now have to worry about being perfect made me jealous. i feel like i’ve had this expectation that i need to live up to since my father is toruk makto. the pressure of being perfect for the clan. i was always jealous of you. you were able to have fun and run around, enjoying the little things without a care in the world.” he admitted in a small voice
his hand moved lower to grasp her hand.
“oh neteyam… you could’ve just said something. we would’ve loved having you in our games when we were younger. even now! you shouldn’t feel pressured to live up to your father. your father is his own person. you are your own person. you are not him. you will never be him because you are neteyam. in order to deal with the hardships of life and the pressure of the clan, you need to take breaks too. go enjoy the wonderful things that could be shadowed by the stress you carry” she softly spoke while grasping his hand and slightly squeezing. “everything has a balance. right now you need to have a little fun in order to take care of the bad…” she trailed off
“what are thinking?” he questioned suspiciously
“i know just how to get your mind off the stress!” she exclaimed excitedly with a giant smile
“come. follow me and call for your ikran. we’re going flying.” she stated while dragging him a certain way.
the two spent the night flying together while doing all kinds of flips and turns. neteyam was smiling and not a single thought about the clan came to mind. he was having genuine fun with y/n
who knew.
after all the years of arguing and the two finally worked things out.
the two of them spent the entire night laughing and joking around as if they’ve never argued in the first place.
a year later the clan heard that they were dating and were absolutely taken back. it took the clan a solid week to finally accept that the two stopped bickering.
it was almost entertaining to the clan and now that they’ve stopped with the arguments the entertainment has disappeared. however the nosy na’vi have now made it their mission to get the two together whenever they have the chance.
if neteyam was going to be the next head of the clan… he would need a mate to rule the people beside him.
the clan was more than happy to accept y/n. in fact they were waiting for the day neteyam announced they were mates.
however until then, the two stuck to their nighttime flying where they both got to relax.
they both finally realized that in order to have balance in their lives they needed the other to help them, instead of going against each other.
who would’ve thought.

*IMPORTANT*
i feel like this is super rushed and i DEEPLY apologize. i have another piece of writing for neteyam that i actually have FINISHED! that’s what took me so damn long in the first place however i’m gonna wait to post that a couple days after this bc all of you are so supportive and i honestly did not think my writing would get recognized until i saw all my notifications!! so thank you sm to each and every single one of you! 🫶once again send me more messages so i can figure out what i’m writing more about!

I'll rank these from least to greatest. The Snowball/Hairpiece moment: Disqualified for being an attempt at "humor." We can't really take the universe seriously if literally no one cares about the main character getting stabbed in the brain. WTF even is Bakugo's character if he's actually the one to have injured Izuku the worst in his life? It's not AFO or Tomura who put Izuku closest to death, it's apparently Bakugo for no reason other than jealousy. Apparently we're supposed to see this as Tsundere slapstick humor. Confronting The LOV: This is a continuation of the finals against All Might and another reason this guy isn't smart. He learned nothing since then. Bakugo is simply a moron who, despite being able to fly under his own power, couldn't be bothered to use this to save himself even when he knew they were after him. They were aware at this point what Nomu were and how they were made from people. While AFO didn't do this, he could have given one of Tomura's minions an ability that specifically countered Bakugo's and made it impossible for him to fight back. This wasn't required at all since Bakugo let himself get yoinked by Compress, but it's another reason he's a bonehead. Way to put everyone in danger saving your useless ass, you liability. I like the irony of Bakugo being exactly what Aizawa called Izuku on the first day of school. Battle Trials: This is the first moment of the universe bending over backwards to shield this guy from consequences and also twist the characters present to talk about how awesome he is. The writing was on the wall here that you can do everything he did and not get in trouble or reprimanded at all. That the number 1 hero can watch you nearly manslaughter someone and he doesn't give a shit. Witch Hunt And Apology: This one is also bad, but again because of the Bakugo aura that needs to bend other characters to make him look good. Hawks, All Might and Endeavor were aware Izuku was their last hope. Which is why Hawks and Endeavor are not constantly at Izuku's side and instead have time to be at UA while he's running on no sleep. Despite also being targets of the League who certain members will never rest until they've killed them, they let the savior child wander around by himself until he eventually loses to Dictator. Yes, Izuku was beaten. He lost. The story needed to make everyone involved an idiot so Class A can show up and rescue him. Actually, I'd say everything about this was the huge failure of the writing in general. The author doesn't give a shit about most of these worthless fodder children. So he needs a fight scene to show them doing SOMETHING while also attempting to call back to a bond he hadn't built. And then Bakugo gives a ridiculously half assed, victim blaming apology that wasn't needed at all, which Izuku doesn't respond to.
It doesn't matter if Bakugo apologizes to Izuku because we KNOW he's already forgiven him. We've known that since the summer camp arc. Izuku would not have screamed like that for someone he resented at all. He wouldn't have gone to save him if he still harbored negative feelings for him. Izuku has saint like patience (and the author doesn't allow him to be mad at Bakugo) so his only interest is them being friends again. Their entire relationship is Izuku trying his hardest to connect to this empty, spoiled brat and getting punished for it. This "apology" is another box checked on the list. An event that had to happen because the story built up to it, but the animosity between them is completely one sided. I rank this higher than the battle trials for how it degrades everyone's characters that this had to happen. Izuku became pants on the head stupid specifically so he could be saved by these fodder kids, because he's so powerful that he could casually clown them all if he wasn't exhausted to the point of passing out. Literally all of his support evaporates because we need him to be isolated. God, imagine if AFO wasn't equally stupid and he bothered to send some buddies with Dictator so he wasn't acting alone. Imagine if he bothered to recruit Muscular and had them working as a team. RIP Class A. But AFO is allergic to victory. Swan Dive: This moment escalated him from a typical high school bully to a vile little brat. The story could have gone some interesting places with this. A problem MHA has is that the author doesn't want the heroes to be bad people. So we have Endeavor pointed at as being the one bad hero. Bakugo is the one bad hero student. Endeavor doesn't have an entire building of side kicks who are just as bad as he is. Bakugo's friends at UA aren't also entitled, ruthless brats who accept him as one of their own. None of the UA kids are bitchy, catty, backstabbing, conniving, or really have any negative traits. Even if Mineta and Kaminari are perverts, they step up when the chips are down and their bad traits aren't treated with any real seriousness. They're all infinitely forgiving, positive people who are super nice. So if we looked at this as part of seeing how privileged kids in this world behave and there were more of them once Izuku got into UA, but he doesn't get bullied because he's powerful, then it works as a part of the world building. Instead, we see now that this is a Bakugo problem. He was a rotten little brat who bullied and hurt kids for years for....no reason. We see LOADS of other kids with powerful quirks who would have had legions of dick riders hyping them up, and yet it's only Bakugo who acts like this. So it's one of the worst things he's done, in retrospect, because he's apparently always been what the author calls an "Abusive Egotist" and only stopped because Izuku got a power.
Deku Vs Kacchan 2: This is another example of Bakugo's incredible self centered nature. His "friend" is riding a high and of course Bakugo has to make everything about himself. Fuck Izuku for saving this little bitch boy's life, am I right? Fuck him for never telling anyone about his previous abuse and ruining his career before it started. Honestly, Izuku had All Might in his corner and could have dropped the hammer on Bakugo any time he felt like it, but he instead decided to show mercy. His reward is this horse shit. Now he has to emotionally validate this narcissist. Sure, you did end All Might. In retrospect, you should be thankful the League had such piss poor operational security and AFO decided to stay and fight. You should also be thankful AFO didn't chain you to his body as meat armor while he fought All Might, guaranteeing you and All Might would die. In all the permutations of ways this could have turned out if the villains didn't act like they huff glue every day, this is the best outcome. But of course, the fact that he and his friends got out of that with no one dead is irrelevant to him. It's all about his feelings. I'd hate this kid even if he never bullied anyone a day in his life. He's fucking disgusting to me. We're wasting screen time on this flat, empty character who doesn't even get his own villains. So much of this series has been spent on this dickhead and his garbage "redemption." Fuck. The payoff isn't worth it! He's intolerable even when he's trying to be nice! Bakugo pisses all over All Might and the OFA users: Fuck All Might, am I right? Fuck the people who fought for justice and freedom from the ancient Japanese Boogeyman. Fuck the only reason we don't live in a mafia state where he controls all resources. I can guarantee in such a world, Bakugo would be one of AFO's enforcers, not a resistance fighter. Because he only joins the winning teams.
If Bakugo was Yoichi, he'd have never complained about his brother killing people and would have raised both middle fingers to the air when he became co-emperor of the world.
I rank this the highest because this completes All Might's humiliation, and he's not even allowed to slap this little bitch across the face for mocking people who died to ensure everyone else could survive.
Interesting ranking. I didn't think anyone would actually put insulting the past OFA users at first. But it makes sense considering how he bitched and whined and threw a fit over not being chosen, then insulted the predecessors. All Might should have told him to stfu about his mother figure

Question for you, as I've been reading some of your tbhk analysis posts, notably about teru's treatment of akane and your prediction for akane dying soon! Since teru seems to want to acknowledge the human side of akane, how do you think he'd handle something happening to akane, such as him losing supernatural powers/being weakened, or maybe the opposite in losing his humanity and becoming a supernatural fully instead? Do you think the newest chapter may even imply teru having something to do with such a thing happening to akane or being witness to it?
I think Teru would handle Akane being weakened poorly at the start cause he treats Akane as if he is indestructible: No matter how beaten up Akane is, Teru never hesitates to use him as a stress relief, he is his first target whenever he wants to hit something
Tumblr media
He understands Akane is seriously injured here, but he will still attack Akane if he feels like it. Regardless if he did it because he was frustrated by his failure of being too late to save them both, and took his frustrations out on Akane, or because he was jealous his (ambiguous af) crush kissed someone else, Teru still shows no hesitation to beat up the stabbed guy that is only alive because he isn't in a human body.
He did it again when they left the boundary and reached the near shore, where people can die.
Tumblr media
He obviously doesn’t want to kill Akane, but it is still a wild choice to kick his ass to show he is in critical condition, is as if Teru believes “if I punch him he’ll be in pain” not “if I punch him I’ll cause damage.” despite the confidence Teru has in his own strength.
I can’t be sure what is going on in his head, but I am inclined to say he understands Akane's strange half supernatural powers and how much resistance it gives him compared to a normal human, which makes me think of two things that might happen if Akane gets weaker or lose his powers completely: Either Teru will know the exact limitations of Akane weakened state, or he’ll miscalculate, and end up doing something that Akane would usually be able to brush off, but will genuinely injury or even make him black out: Which would be one hell of a wake-up call.
Teru would lose his biggest stress relief and have to adapt to that.
Fortunately, I don’t think their banter and overall dynamic would be affected, since Akane would not change his no nonsense approach with Teru just cause he got weaker. They seem far more relaxed near each other now too, and we don't see Akane being tied up after the severance. But if Teru still bullies him off the pages, I can see Teru tripping him and doing the 'lighter' bullying, but still being more stressed in the long run since he needs to hold back (please find a better way to relieve stress teru I beg of you).
That being said... Teru’s trust in his power and his willingness to involve Akane in supernatural situations might lower, or even disappear, without his clock keeper powers.
Tumblr media
He might get more protective too, since Akane knows about supernaturals, so he lost what Teru considers a normal human’s best defense against them.
Tumblr media
And whenever he feels like Akane is in danger he jumps into protection mode quickly.
Tumblr media
If Akane gets so weak he ceases to even see supernaturals  (which considering Aoi’s case I find it unlikely) then I can see a disconnect happening. It will be felt far more by Teru than Akane since Akane ignores the supernatural world as much as possible, while that’s Teru’s whole life.  Still, outside Teru feeling a disconnect at times, I still can’t see it drastically changing things, cause they could work together and talk normally when Akane used his enchanted glasses, their talk mostly about Teru’s siblings and Aoi, and they may have gotten closer because of the severance, but they can absolutely bond with nonsupernatural affairs too.
If the contrary happens and Akane dies, becoming a full supernatural, I answered how I personally feel like Teru (+others) might react: Here.
As for the later chapter, it feels like that was a set up for Teru to have a relevant role in this arc, but we don’t have nearly enough information to know which. It could be related to Akane, or foreshadow him meeting the broadcasting club, who knows? The only thing it says for sure is that Teru knows others are interested in Akane, or more specifically, in the clock keepers power.
Which is something he knew for a while already.
Tumblr media
A lot of people must be interested in the clock keeper’s powers for him to know the culprit has a tsueshiro, and not immediately assume Hanako is the one behind it.

hey :) i love how you write angst! can you do a hc about how mc would know they're depressed? like the signs they would show?
Yes I can! We do love a good bit of Character Analysis™ in this house.
Thanks for the ask 🖤

How they act when they are depressed (Hogwarts Legacy)
TW: discussion of depression
Poppy Sweeting 🦡
I think she’d be the most mature in dealing with her emotions by sheer virtue of all the shit she’s already overcome. That said, talking about her problems doesn’t come naturally to her. Isolating herself is her go-to coping mechanism for pretty much any kind of personal struggle, so it might be difficult to figure out whether she’s just having a bad day or she’s going through more serious stuff. However, if she trusts you enough to talk about it, she’s surprisingly good at articulating her feelings.
Natsai Onai 🦁
She’s definitely the type to hide her emotions because she doesn’t want to feel like a burden to others. Keeps a brave face, tries her best to smile through the pain, doesn’t want to give anyone (least of all her mother) the impression that anything’s wrong. When she’s alone, she cries a lot. Whatever she’s feeling at the moment mixes with the guilt she feels over her father’s death, leading her to feel like everything is her fault.
Imelda Reyes 🐍
Doesn’t ‘do’ emotions. She just submits herself to gruelling training schedules and pushes her body to its limits so the physical pain drowns out the mental kind. Will often lose her shit in front of anyone who has the audacity to show concern for her. These are her problems to deal with; she doesn’t need anyone else.
Ominis Gaunt 🐍
In the same mould as Natty, I think his lingering sense of guilt would keep him from expressing his true feelings in a clear way to others. He practically spends most of his time with the Sallows, so it would make sense that he keeps his issues to himself to not add to their pile of problems. Whatever pain he feels he masks with sarcasm and a lot of passive-aggressiveness. The worst thing is that he often thinks he deserves it.
Sebastian Sallow 🐍
He hates being in a position of vulnerability and lacking control over his circumstances. If he can’t even help himself, how is he ever going to help his sister? He tends to get erratic and impulsive, coping with his problems by getting involved in increasingly dangerous shenanigans until a) he gets seriously injured or b) someone gets in his face and reminds him that he’s not invincible.
Amit Thakkar 🦅
I’m a bit torn on Amit. I think he would either be burying himself in his schoolwork or going out of his way to help others to hide his own struggles. One obvious sign that he’s going through some things: forgetting all the answers to the questions the professors ask him in class. He tends to get trapped inside his own head, constantly doubting himself and wondering if he’s good enough.
Anne Sallow 🐍
She always tries to see the positive side of things. Sometimes, though, the strain on her mind and body is just too much. Her brother and uncle fighting all the time rubs off on her – she can’t help but wonder how better things would be if she would be simply gone – and more often than not she contemplates the thought of just walking out and never coming back. She will get uncommunicative, going on long walks without any destination in mind, trying to remember what it was like to live without pain.

— Injuries !
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Their s/o come back from a harmless commission injured!
୨୧: Ayato, Childe, DIluc, Xiao, Tighnari, Alhaitham (/w gn! reader)
A/notes. This originally come out as a scenario if my crush notices me injured while on camping but ehe suddenly Alhaitham appears in my mind and ykkk :)
I can never be serious when I'm in this situation. There either me laughing or joking abt it :'^ [ I feel like this is very self-included ]
Tumblr media
#. KAMISATO AYATO : Cypressus Custos
I feel like Ayato is the type of won't let you go commission alone. There will always someone by your side, either Thoma, Ayaka, Sayu or anyone who have his trust. So when the sight of you injured enter the estate without anyone beside you, he'll panicked. Called out nearest maiden to come and help him bandage you up, even if it's only a cut. He doesn't like it.
"I told you! You shouldn't go alone" *Que name's laugh* "This isn't funny [Name]. You know I hate to see you in this state" "I'm sorry, I'm sorry. I promise I won't go alone next time"
This man won't believe you, that's all. Ground you for a week and the next upcoming commission, you'll see him joining you.
Tumblr media
#. TARTAGLIA : Monocerus Caeli
Now, Childe. Yes he do come home with many scars and bruises from those countless battle he made but when it's about you getting injured, he's not very happy about it. He's a big brother who will protect his siblings and family with his whole life so seeing you injured hurts him in deep inside. He may sometimes over-react it but in a reasonable way. He's a harbinger himself of course there are enemies out there try to bring him down. He worried that's it. What if one day you eventually gone forever?
"So you're telling me you got this... uhm- hurt while on commission?" "Would you believe me if I tell you I fall down a cliff while trying to pick up a qixing flower?
Childe: . . . why? [Name]: Mora.
If you seriously do commission for mora, he doesn't know how to talk to you anymore. He rich why bother doing it for mora?
Tumblr media
#. DILUC RAGNVINDR : Noctua
First give you proper treatment to your injuries and then lecture you. Diluc is a busy man on both daylight and midnight. He usually make some time to accompany you for missions when there's fighting involving.
"You should inform me the next time you're going into this kind of commission" "I never know you're interested on following me collect some dandelion seeds but sure"
No comment on this man
Tumblr media
#. XIAO : Alatus Nemeseos
Xiao was kind enough to offer you his help, just called his name and he's there ready to help you. The moment you step in the wangshu inn and go meet xiao at the top with those bandage on your hands, he's upset. Questioning you why you didn't called him to help you.
"I don't understand you mortal when you have the offer of adepti and refuses to use it" "Sometimes it's better to not inform you, you know? I bring traveler along side me don't worry"
Xiao trust you in traveler hands but sometimes it's better for him to tag alone.
Tumblr media
#. TIGHNARI : Vulpes Zerda
Tighnari trust you that you capable of handle things by yourself but seriously if you came back home with these many bruises from a literally harmless commission, he lose faith in you being a forest ranger like him. Smack your head from being too reckless and lecture you about it.
"Your commission is not even related with forest and you still managed to injured yourself, how?" "I slipped down the stairs" "Use your eyes next time you walk, you're not a baby anymore!"
Tighnari gives me Asian mom vibes but do I have the position to complain?
Tumblr media
#. ALHAITHAM
This man probably didn't care much less about you. Even as much I love him, he just give me a tired bf energy that can't match your energy. For first time relationship yes he do show some genuinely concerned about your injuries but after weeks and month seeing you injured like it's daily routine for you to get hurt, he's tired. Might as well scold you for being reckless during battles and while doing commissions.
". . ." "Look. The Hilichurl had better aiming ok" "I sometimes wonder why I fall in love with you"
One day If I successfully shift to genshin, first thing I'll do is running to Sumeru, find this man and touch his abs + hair. Then force him into marriage. Repeat the steps with Cyno, Dottore and Childe.

Before I get into this I wanted to say someone said on one of my posts about Naruto and One Piece that they didn't feel their was a point in comparing them and I wanted to say my intention isn't really to compare Naruto and One Piece. My point is that Naruto is a standard shounen with some good ideas and points but is overall not very good and has lots of writing issues. One Piece is a standard shounen that is very well written with fewer issues. And because all of my problems with people on here seem to stem from people wanting to read Naruto differently than intended to make it look better I want to use One Piece as an example of what something that is just good writing on its own merits looks like.
Anyway, Iruka says chapter one that he thinks Naruto's struggles have given him empathy and I think that is funny because to me Naruto has never been a character with any emotional intelligence or kindness to be seen in him. The only time he has interest in other's emotions or feelings is when he can relate them to his own experience and this is 1. never addressed as a problem Naruto has and 2. is a consistent theme throughout the manga. Not only that but he never seems to be able to do anything helpful when he finds people like that (which could be an interesting commentary on Naruto's inability with personal interactions but once again the manga doesn't make note of it). Think how he treats Inari, think encouraging Hinata to fight Neji even though it endangered her because it personally triggered him, think how he ends up fighting Gaara and saying he will fight Sasuke after saying he relates to them (not that I think he's wrong for fighting Gaara since...he's attacking the village just, Choices Kishimoto for doing that more than once).
Now let me show an example of the main character for one understanding someone else's feelings and for two, shock and awe, helping them. Generally Luffy isn't a character anyone would describe using the word "intelligence" for on first blush, but reading the manga you will see in a lot of situations Luffy is actually incredibly emotionally intelligent. And honestly I think it's kind of funny that Kishimoto bothers making Iruka specifically says Naruto has empathy when he doesn't show it at least in a helpful way meanwhile no one says anything about Luffy being kind yet...here we are...just being shown things instead of told.
Anyway, here's the example. This one is from early in the manga and I chose one that involves a whale instead of a person just to really drive the point home.
The crew meets (and gets eaten by...look it's a whole thing okay) a whale (Laboon) and the lighthouse watcher/former doctor/whale caretaker (once again...it's a whole thing), Crocus, tells them the story of how this whale was waiting for his friends, a different pirate crew, to sail around the world and return to him, but it's been 50 years and Crocus believes the crew has abandoned the whale and Laboon, disbelieving this, rams his head against the Red Line (it's a land mass that circles the entire world...listen I can't be explaining the intricacies of OP's world building just for this post), seriously injuring himself in his attempts to break through and find his friends. Luffy, for lack of anything else to do I guess (if he could just intuit the problem and do something about it without listening to a whole ass tale he would, trust), listens though as usual the energy he's giving is "no thoughts, head empty".
Tumblr media
But the next thing you know! Luffy has broken of the ship's mast (for some reason...) and is running up the whale to stab the mast into Laboon's latest slamming-his-head-into-a-wall-of-earth wound (in case you can't tell I'm not showing all the panels thus all the explaining).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Laboon is in pain and attacks, but Luffy fights back.
Tumblr media
Luffy stops the fight by declaring it a draw!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Well, it looks like their match isn't settled so they will have to fight some other time. Luffy declares that they are rivals and after they sail around the world (like Laboon's previous crew of pirate friends) they will come back and Luffy and Laboon can have a rematch.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Luffy even paints their...uh, his version of their Jolly Roger on Laboon's head where his scars are and says he can't ram his head against the Red Line because that will erase the contract. This gives something else for Laboon to look forward to rather than him needlessly waiting for his friends to return. And it works! Every time we see Laboon in little asides or cover stories after this he is happily waiting for the Straw Hats at the lighthouse with Crocus. (And in case anyone was wondering his pirate friends and the Straw Hats can't just bring him with them because he's a giant fucking whale and they are circling the entire globe through dangerous waters, also the sky, also the bottom of the ocean, also fighting the government, also getting flung across the globe, and various islands.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And what really REALLY touches me about this exchange is that Luffy knows he can't replace Laboon's previous pirate crew of friends. He can't just say "I'll be your friend" to fix this. So instead he positions himself as Laboon's rival, not replacing the friends Laboon is still waiting for or belittling his bond with them (and trust me...it's a bond 😢). And in case you're wondering does this somehow connect to Luffy's sad past and that's why he's doing this??? No. His sad backstory isn't anything like this. He's just doing it because it's the kind thing to do and if you're trying to do something and Luffy likes you he will do everything he can to help you.

The fact that there are people who want to have Epilepsy and read tips on it will never not disgust me. Like seriously. Y’all are fucking ignorant, ableist, and your identity is NOT in good faith.
Why? Because as someone who actually has epilepsy, it DOES hurt for me to see some people on tumblr want this damn condition. As I’m struggling to get through a work week, as I’m finally realizing I need accommodations, as I’m feeling frustrated because I haven’t had a seizure since April 19th, and I already had two this month.
Remember y’all, when you have a seizure, out goes your ability to drive for at least a few months. Put yourself in a small town with no public transit, rely on family to get literally ANYWHERE - and then tell me you’re “transepileptic”.
I wasn’t planning to ever drive again, but that decision DOES affect my life and let’s say I chose to drive once it was legal. Well, in my state I would have been able to drive by July but BAM. There it goes again.
Have a seizure, and you cannot drive. Now you have to find other ways to get EVERYWHERE you can’t walk to. And if it’s pouring like it is for me today? Yeah, your choice is either walk in the rain and get soaked, take an Uber for a ride that’s only 5-10 minutes and easy walking distance, or stay home.
Not everyone can rely on family or friends every single time they need to go somewhere, remember that.
And I know I’m focusing on this part but it’s just ONE aspect.
I mentioned I had a rough week at work and I did. Have fun dealing with post-seizure depression and just overall triggered depression as you work for a suicide hotline. Have fun not being able to tell 99% of your coworkers WHY you are struggling so much this week because you can’t even the say the name of your condition (and as a side note, your mom hates this and doesn’t understand - she thinks it just means you’re ashamed even though you aren’t), so yeah, they respect that and it’s your right but it would be easier to talk to them if they KNEW. But you don’t, because you barely accept your condition to begin with. (The five stages of grief? Yeah, apply them here and put yourself permanently in between denial and acceptance, also anger and depression, and have a jolly good time.)
Oh don’t forget needing time off work! Because if you’re lucky like me, you’re going to be exhausted the next day and will need to sleep all day! Which means using a sick day, and in America most people are LUCKY to get two weeks. My friend’s partner gets five days. Total. Of paid time off and sick COMBINED. So yeah, have a blast balancing what little sick time you get with needing to care for your body because sometimes you cannot recover quickly for them! You likely don’t know that tonic clonic used to be called grand mal (don’t worry most people without epilepsy don’t know this and you know you don’t have epilepsy soooo) but with grand mal, you might end up in the hospital because you can injure yourself! Any seizure that involves convulsions puts you at risk of physical (even mental, if you hit your head and get a concussion) injury, but I’m sure you haven’t thought of that part, have you?
Or maybe you have and you still want a condition that severely impacts people’s lives and can kill them, in which case you’re just ableist lmao, and insist that me being against people outright SAYING they’re faking a disorder is somehow transphobic or I’m “using the same talking points” as people against the trans community. Like stop stop STOP.
You know what the difference here is? Trans people didn’t choose to be trans, they can’t always come out of the closet because it’s NOT SAFE which surprise, might have a significant impact on their mental health. They don’t have a choice but to be closeted. Staying closeted STILL comes with consequences though. Coming out of the closet might come with consequences. There’s a reason trans people have such a high suicide rate.
As for the “talking points”…that’s just stupid because you people KNOW and SAY you don’t have this condition. You give each other “tips” for doing these symbols, or should I say FAKING the symptoms.
Me talking about the REALITIES of living with a disability is a desperate attempt to get you to stop romanticizing them. Me talking about the TRUTH of living with something like in my case epilepsy, is a desperate attempt to make you realize it’s NOT something you want.
I’M the one who didn’t have a goddamn choice for this condition. JUST LIKE trans people don’t have a choice to be trans and cis people don’t have a choice to be cis.
YOU fucking DO have this choice. YOU have the choice to get off Tumblr, out of this horrible echo chamber and ask yourself why the fuck you’re ASKING for TIPS FOR HAVING A SEIZURE.
Like for real, get off this hellsite and THINK about what you’re absorbing. This. Is. Not. Healthy.
And no, I don’t give a shit if you’re ~also disabled and okay with this~ because it’s not okay lmao. Like these are not good faith identities. Period. These people romanticize serious conditions, play into the idea that people with disabilities are faking theirs (especially if they suddenly become able to do things - “oh, jessy can do that, why can’t you?” Disabled people hear that enough already), and simply ignore the reality.
Ugh. I’m only writing this because Tumblr is a blog and a safe space to write, my therapist is sick today and can’t do a session with me, and I woke up still pretty sad and frustrated and then I thought of “transabled” people and decided to rant. Going to keep this public for now, might make it private later.

Merwaine fanfic
Here is a merwaine fanfic that I have no explanation for. You can blame @sneakyboymerlin. They told me to unabandon my fic and then this happened. I'll probably post it on ao3 too but here it is in full for yall Hope yall like it?
It was eerily quiet in the physician’s chambers. There was no rustling of jars as Gaius or Merlin prepared potions. There was no prat yelling orders around, acting as if he was late even though Merlin always tells him when he is helping Gaius. There were no hushed talks of magic. No laughter. Not a single sound.
It was quiet.
Merlin just sat, staring at the man in the patient's cot as if the mere force of his gaze could change something. It wasn’t right for things to be quiet when Gwaine was in the room. Gwaine is always so loud and full of life. He shouldn’t be lying there quiet and motionless except for the barely visible rise and fall of his chest. Gwaine was hardly ever motionless either. His movements were always as loud as the rest of him.
Merlin missed the sound of Gwaine so much that it was a physical ache. It wasn’t fair. Why did it have to be Gwaine?
There had been a patrol. This was Camelot so, of course, the patrol went badly. Merlin had been an idiot. He was stupid enough to think that somehow he managed to protect them all this time. Of course, that was when Leon yelled for him. No one ever yelled for him like that unless someone was seriously hurt. Whatever Merlin imagined hadn’t been enough to prepare him for the sight of Gwaine. Some bandit had managed to swipe Gwaine across the stomach. There had been so much blood. Gwaine was so lucky nothing internal had been knicked otherwise… Merlin felt sick just thinking about it.
It had been so close. Gwaine almost didn’t make it back to Camelot. By some miracle, Merlin’s healing spells actually worked. It was probably the hardest thing he had ever done. It was another miracle no one saw. Luckily or unluckily, Merlin had plenty of things to send the knights away to go get for him. Merlin had been desperate enough to heal the man entirely, but he had only managed to keep him from bleeding out. Perhaps that was for the best. If anyone knew magic was involved, it could get Gwaine in trouble. It certainly would’ve ended with Merlin’s head on a stick, but that would’ve been worth it if it meant Gwaine was never this quiet again.
Merlin looked away from Gwaine’s pale face in shame. His fingernails dug into his legs painfully, but he didn’t stop. Because that was just the problem wasn’t it? He loved Gwaine. He hadn’t ever built up the courage to say those three little words yet, but it was true. He loved Gwaine so much. Too much. Destiny had never been kind to him. It had taken Will, Balinor, Freya, Lancelot… he could go on. There was no way destiny would let him have someone as good as Gwaine. Loving Gwaine was basically no better than killing him himself.
The trembling got worse the more he spiraled. He wasn’t sure when he started crying, but now sobs racked his whole frame.
“Please,” Merlin begged, leaning over Gwaine’s body, getting closer but not daring to touch, “I promise I won’t get distracted. I will do whatever needs to be done and pay any price. I know Arthur has to be the priority. I know that. I promise I will always protect Arthur. Just please don’t take him from me. I need him. I love him. Please.”
A slight touch against his arm caused Merlin to flinch back, looking up in shock.
“Should I be offended you’re promising your life to another man at my bedside?” Gwaine asked teasingly.
It was probably the best sound Merlin had ever heard. His voice sounded rough and pained underneath his humor, and the man was pale and obviously exhausted. But he was alive and talking to him for the first time in days.
Merlin let out another sob, a happy one this time as he rushed forward. He barely restrained himself from throwing himself on the injured man. Instead, he leaned his head against Gwaine’s shoulder, pressing his face into the crick in his neck while putting his arm lightly around him.
Gwaine chuckled weakly. Merlin clung slightly tighter, trying to memorize how Gwaine’s laughter felt when he was wrapped around him like this. As if understanding what the other man needed, Gwaine put an arm around Merlin, pulling him even closer. Merlin was worried it would aggravate his injuries but couldn’t bring himself to pull away just yet.
“You know it will take more than destiny to keep me away from you,” Gwaine said.
His tone was still slightly teasing, but Merlin could tell he meant it. Merlin shook his head against Gwaine’s shoulder. The knight didn’t understand. Destiny would take everything from him if it got in the way of protecting Arthur. He shouldn’t love Gwaine. It was only putting the man in harm’s way.
“Hey talk to me,” Gwaine said lowly, “Let’s talk about it. I know you are worried, but I promise I can take care of myself.”
Merlin pulled away just to give Gwaine a look. They were currently lying in a patient's cot with a huge cut through his stomach that said otherwise.
Gwaine smiled smugly at him in return. “There you are,” He said softly.
Merlin couldn’t meet his gaze for long. How could Gwaine still look at him with so much affection? Merlin almost got him killed.
“Hey,” Gwaine said again, his hand coaxing Merlin to look up at him again, “It’ll be okay Merlin. I’m alive.”
Merlin finally looked to meet his gaze, tears of frustration welling up again, “This time but Gwaine what if next time I can’t save you in time? I can’t lose you Gwaine. Maybe we shouldn’t be doing this.”
Gwaine’s eyes filled with hurt. It hurt Merlin just as much to see, but the hurt was soon replaced with the stubborn determination that Merlin loved about Gwaine.
“It won’t. Even if it does, it isn’t your fault, and I won’t regret loving you. Not even for a second. You made life worth living. It would be just as easy to die for you,” Gwaine said as if it was a vow as if it was that easy.
Merlin shook his head, “I don’t want you to die for me. I want you to live even if that means not being with me.”
Gwaine looked conflicted, “Do you honestly not want to be with me?”
“Of course, I want to be with you! Just not if that means you’ll die because of me!” Merlin replied frustrated.
He shouldn’t be doing this now. He knew better. He had been training with Gaius for years. Merlin should be getting Gwaine water and a pain draft and letting him get some rest. He shouldn’t be having this conversation while Gwaine was sitting there exhausted and in pain.
Gwaine wrapped his hand around Merlin’s wrist. He used just enough pressure to ground Merlin for a moment, to take him out of his head. Merlin looked at him desperately. God, he really did look so exhausted.
“What can I do so I don’t lose you,” Gwaine asked, soft and earnest.
“You aren’t going to lose me,” Merlin replied just as softly, slightly confused.
“Really?” Gwaine asked, looking so so pained, “Because it sounds like you are about to leave me.”
Merlin gave a defeated sigh, “You scared me Gwaine.”
Gwaine gave him a sad smile and tugged on his wrist slightly, “Come back here.”
Merlin let himself be dragged back down easily. He didn’t want to fight anymore. They could fight more later. Right now, he just wanted to enjoy Gwaine being alive. For a moment, everything felt right again. Like Gwaine hadn’t been injured, like Merlin didn’t have a huge destiny. It was just the two of them.
Sadly reality was quick to return. Gwaine coughed quietly, meaning he was trying not to cough at all. Merlin sat back up carefully, so as not to disturb Gwaine’s injury. Gwaine tried to grab him to drag him back down again.
Merlin tried to ignore how terrified Gwaine looked and instead put on a smile, “Don’t worry I’m not running away. Let me just get you some water and a pain potion and then we can waste the whole day lying together.”
Gwaine looked slightly surprised but relieved, “Well… hard to say no to that.”
The knight resettled without a fight, but Merlin didn’t miss the fact that Gwaine watched him like a hawk while he gathered the water and potions. He didn’t acknowledge it. Instead, he let Gwaine watch, never moving out of sight. Perhaps he wasn’t the only one scared.
It only took a few minutes before Merlin was back at Gwaine’s side. It showed how much pain Gwaine was in when he didn’t argue against the potion. He downed it in one quick motion. Merlin bit his lips, trying to stop himself from spiraling again into his darker thoughts. Gwaine pulled him back into his side as soon as he was done.
“Can I tell you something?” Gwaine asked quietly.
Merlin nodded into Gwaine’s side.
“You got to promise not to interrupt me till I’m done,” Gwaine said in an oddly serious tone.
Merlin looked up at Gwaine curiously. He seemed serious, so Merlin nodded again, “Promise.”
Gwaine quirked a small smile, “Good. Cause it seems like I need to make some things clear to you.”
Merlin raised an eyebrow.
“No interrupting! You promised,” Gwaine reminded, “Now I need to believe this, or at least that I believe this okay?”
Merlin nodded again, not sure where this was going.
“Okay good. You are not responsible for my life, at least not any more than any other fellow knight is. You may have magic but that doesn’t mean you are capable of protecting and saving everyone. I know you will always protect me when you can, just like I will always protect you when I can. We will always try, but if you can’t that isn’t your fault. I will never blame you, and I promise I will always try to come back to you no matter what. I know the world hasn’t been kind to you and I know you’ve lost a lot. So I promise I will try to live for you.”
Merlin stared at Gwaine, tears welling in his eyes. He just loved this man so much. After so many people had died for him, Merlin was terrified of losing anyone else. Yet here was this ridiculous man promising to live for him. Despite his dangerous job, despite Merlin’s magic, just despite everything.
Gwaine smiled a bit hopefully, “So don’t leave me either okay? I’m done now so you can talk now. Please don’t cry anymore.”
Merlin simply wrapped himself around Gwaine, carefully but purposefully, “How can you promise all that?”
He could feel Gwaine’s sigh, “Because I love you. I know it’s not safe for either of us, but I want to try.”
Merlin pulled away just enough to look Gwaine in the eyes. He just looked for a moment. He knew Gwaine was serious, “Okay. I promise too then. No running away.”
Gwaine broke out into a huge grin, “I will hold you to that.”
Merlin rolled his eyes fondly, “That’s sort of the point.”
Gwaine just shrugged, immediately wincing regretfully, “Ah I think I pulled something there”.
Merlin’s eyes widened as he checked the bandages around Gwaine’s stomach in a panic. He breathed a sigh of relief when there was no blood, meaning the idiot likely didn’t tear any stitches.
“Not dying then?” Gwaine asked jokingly.
Merlin glared up at him with no real heat behind it, “If you tear any stitches I swear I am not redoing them.”
Gwaine’s reply was cut off by a yawn. Likely the pain tonic was kicking in now. Merlin let out an exaggerated sigh and laid back down against Gwaine, “Guess it’s time for bed then.”
“Much better with you here,” Gwaine admitted sleepily.
Merlin merely smiled as he heard Gwaine fall asleep. His breathing was still too forced, and he was still in a lot of pain, and they still would have to deal with weeks of Gwaine’s complaining as he dealt with bed rest, but he was alive. Merlin closed his eyes and just let him bask in it. He decided to hell with destiny. He would protect Arthur, and he would do it with Gwaine at his side because Gwaine was who he needed next to him. Destiny could just try and take him. Merlin was never letting this man go as long as he lived.

ask me about my ocs! / accepting! / @bg3
FRAY GOOD LORD....i owe u my life. AWESOME. this is going under a cut cos its gonna get SO long.
2. Do they wear perfume/cologne? If so what scents do they prefer?
Not historically! They're an adventurer by trade, and rarely stay anywhere long — they show up, save the innocents, convince the baddie to lay off or kill them, and then they leave. And the vast majority of their adventuring is something they're doing alone. These things combine just mean they're rarely around another's company long enough to care about what others think of their smell, and they don't care aside from not wanting to smell gross.
That being said, they take bathing regularly seriously, so they do often smell, under the blood and etc., like clean soap! And, once they start getting closer with Shadowheart, some members of the camp notice they seem to have started wearing orchid perfume, despite having never done so before. Everyone's too polite to comment on how obvious they're being.
6. If they were badly injured, and for whatever reason couldn't go to a hospital, who would they go to for help?
I don't think they're the type to let others know they're injured! If they can, or even if they can't, they're gonna try to hide the injury and take care of it without anyone finding out. tough with a vampire on the team! that being said, when they do show it, wyll is 100% their go - to — they're best friends, and they trust him not to try any funny business.
7. Do they have any unusual fears?
I'm still sort of rotating the finer points of their backstory in my head like a rotisserie chicken, but they struggle to depend on others — their biggest fear is trusting someone (in the sense of trusting them to be honest, or to fulfill their end of a bargain, or etc.) and that trust resulting in not only their own suffering, but the suffering of others.
As for more unusual ones — they find the sound of bone cracking really unsettling, which is rough when your job involves so much violence.
8. Do they collect anything? If so, what and why?
They collect jewelry, though they rarely wear it! They're especially likely to take jewelry off of any corpses the gang finds.
If you looked through their (extensive) collection, you'd find a few things that are inscribed with the names Lythia and Lythi — it's odd that this name shows up so regularly. Poor Lythia must have died with a lot of jewelry, one supposes.
As for the why...if you asked directly, they'd say that jewelry is often a sign of love — after all, jewelry is so often a gift — and so, by holding onto it, Delight is preserving a sign of love between people, even if those people are dead. And they're not lying! That is most of the reason.
10. Do they have any regrets?
Oh, so many, but they won't talk about them for the most part. And, to their credit, most of the regrets are in the past; nowadays, as long as they did their best and did what was right (or as close as they could, in the circumstances) they're good at not blaming themselves for what happens that no one could have predicted. "I did the very best that I could, the rest is out of my hands."
That being said, the gang is the first time in years they've had any kind of real companions, and losing any of them would be...unbearable. No matter how good their intentions were or how much they tried, if they lost any of them, they'd...well, it wouldn't be pretty. That would be a regret.
11. Do they have any addictions?
If you asked them, they'd say "heroics, probably" as a joke. I don't think so, to be honest, and if they are addicted to anything, it's less substances and more...concepts.
14. Do they have a hard time opening up to people?
Yes, though it's less out of intentional secrecy (at least for the most part) and more because they're just out of practice. They've been on their own for a long time, doing solo heroism and only stopping to be a listening ear to whoever happens to be suffering along the way — that role doesn't require a whole lot of heart-baring on their part. When Shadowheart asked them to tell her something about them, they diverted and asked about her, not out of a desire to avoid the question but because it simply felt more natural after so many years of not confiding in anyone.
I mentioned that they hide wounds and things, and I do think it can be a challenge for them to open up about mistakes they've made in the past, but as far as their general day-to-day life and their dreams and etc, they wouldn't mind talking about that sort of thing if they could just break the listening-but-not-sharing habit.
15. What kind of sense of humor do they have? Or do they have one at all?
They're very funny! It tends to be a dry thing; they've got a lot of charisma, but when they're interacting as themself and not in the interest of trying to get someone from somebody (which is when they crank the charisma up) they tend towards a dry, deadpan humor. They and Gale get along fine, but he's so theatrical in his humor and they're so flat in theirs that they struggle to reach the other's wavelength some time. Ironically, they play off of Astarion's theatre-kid-isms no problem.
17. How easily would they be convinced to do something that goes against their morals?
It's INCREDIBLY hard. Delight has a very strong moral center and etc — they know that nothing haunts them quite like not sticking to their guns. Not that they're not flexible — they can adjust on the fly if there's not an obvious 'good' answer, and they're not above lying, stealing, etc. — but still...
There was a time a long time ago when they should have stuck to their morals, but they trusted someone too much, let that someone warp their goodness, let that someone convince them to set aside their morals, believed that someone when he promised that he'd fill in the gaps and keep people safe...and it ended with Delight scarred and so many others dead. Never again. If they cause death, better to be because of their own choice rather than their own abdication.
32. If they could change one thing about themselves what would it be?
If they could rewrite parts of their past, they would, but as for who they are now...they'd not change anything, I think! They fought for who they are now, and they like that person, despite the pain in their history.
That being said, they would love to get the tadpole out of their head. They very nearly let Volo put a fucking icepick through their skull about it.
34. How well do they deal with grief?
Depends on the kind of grief. If a loved one died naturally, they would mourn and be miserable for a long time, but they'd be okay. If someone they loved was lost to them and it was their fault, then...well! Again, it would not be pretty!
35. Do they believe in fate or do they believe they are in charge of their own destiny?
It's not something they think about, honestly, though if you asked them they'd eventually come back with "We're inclined to follow fate, but we can always break free if we choose." Another person acting cruelly or leaving others to suffer or failing themselves while claiming it's fate and not worth fighting would just make them angry.
41. Do they learn from their mistakes?
Whether they learn the right lessons is up in the air, but generally speaking, yes!
42. Can they speak multiple languages? If yes which all do they speak and why?
Does talking to animals count?
In all seriousness, yes! They grew up in a very multicultural environment, lots of languages happening at once, so they got used to that. It helps a lot in all their traveling.
44. Who, if anyone, would they trust with their deepest secrets?
It takes a long time for Delight to be willing to share the grittier parts of their history, their secrets; they're deeply ashamed of some of it, and fear being judged. That being said, Wyll is the first in the gang they'd be willing to share with. Shadowheart, eventually, then Karlach.
I imagine by the end of the game, they'll be there with most if not all of the gang. But their...primary circle or whatever is Wyll-Shadowheart-Karlach, and they'll always be the closest.
46. Would they lie to get out of trouble?
Oh, absolutely. They lie all the time and are good at it! Being a hero is as much about know how to diffuse a problem as it is about killing people, and sometimes the best way to diffuse a problem is to tell a half-truth.
47. Would they lie to get someone else out of trouble? Even if they would have to take that someone else's place?
Even more absolutely. Put them in jail because Karlach got caught with the sticky fingers. That's fine by them. It'll be fun.
48. How likely are they to go on a quest for revenge?
For their own revenge? Not going to happen. Revenge for someone they love? Almost definitely.
50. What is your favorite thing about them?
I joked before I got the game that a lot of my main PCs in these games, especially my first playthru, end up following the same basic beats — and Delight isn't anything truly groundbreaking for me. But I've enjoyed developing them in the game and in my head and seeing the small differences, the little stuff that's new. They're good and they do the right thing, but it's interesting how it seems to me like it stems less from like....how do I word this.
They are morally upright and have a tough moral center. But they don't really care if their companions don't (though, no killing innocents on their watch) because while they do believe in their morals it's like...they don't think about them. They do the right thing because that's just what you do, and because the time they didn't lead to the biggest regret of their life, but there's like...no posturing or sense of superiority or even sense of "my way is right and yours is wrong." Again, this has limits, but it's interesting to rotate this character in my head who is extremely good but not in a way that has anything to do with like...actual steadfast beliefs, if that makes sense? It's fun!
