Stolas Isn't So Different From Burnie

Seriously, it's really blatant double standards how Burnie Burns is depicted as entitled and a creep for imagining Fizz as his chained up toy who caters to his demands, but when the same thing is depicted with Stolas and Blitzo we are supposed to ignore and just view it as the latter having a distorted view of the relationship. Burnie of course is supposed to be a strawman critic, while Stolas is being coddled like the creator's pet he is and absolved of his many shitty actions. We are supposed to see Stolitz as slow burn true love, while ignoring the fact it's more like how Burns wanted with Fizz which is a lover slaving at one's demand and being chained to him. And no matter what shippers say that's really what Stolitz is which is one entitled prick who cries victim and treats the other like shit when they don't look their way.

Funny enough the song "Look My Way" was sung earlier this month, while this guy mentions how Fizz still doesn't manage to look his way. And again we are supposed to pity Stolas for how Blitzo won't return his love, while we a supposed to hate Burnie for creeping on Fizz and ignoring what he wants. In other words, creator favoritism tries to paint these two as different when they couldn't be so similar. And it's even worse with Stolas because he's more powerful and privileged than Blitzo, so he can do tons of shit that can keep him under his thumb in comparison with Burns (who is still a creep but has lesser power).

I like how Burnie came out of hiding just to fix the absolute mess that’s been happening with RvB and just decided to say fuck it and retcon everything past 13.

still unsure of how i feel about the possibility that rvb: restoration is gonna retcon everything that came after season 13, but that won't stop me from gushing!

if it turns out that s15-18 were just church running simulations to make sure the team is ready for anything once he's gone, that means tucker's now solidly established sense of leadership, responsibility and friendship? is how church sees him. i'll be very unhappy if they do discard tucker s15's characterization btw BUT i've always said he was acting a lot like church in that season so it might still give me the warms and fuzzies, albeit for different reasons: instead of loving it for who tucker is in s15, i might love it for what it shows of church's extremely high opinion of tucker.

So weird re-watching RWBY and hearing Washington whenever Ozpin speaks and hearing Church's voice sound anything but condescending and snarky. Burnie voicing Tai being supportive just threw me because all I hear is Church when Burnie speaks and he's just not built to be supportive and the words "my Sunny little dragon" just made my brain melt.

It's been a few years since I watched RWBY and I thought I'd watch it all again but having been watching nothing but RVB and Clone Wars it's funny hearing the voices of the serious freelancers in kids, like Jen Brown LAUGHING as Pyrrha and Miles Luna not being a condescending rat Felix. I love the difference between the two shows, it was so fun growing up with Red vs Blue and then having RWBY come out in early high school and just enjoying Rooster Teeth again.

I am OBSESSED with what a bold fucking fan service move it is to say "people think this shows been declining since this episode? Fuck it, IT WAS ALL THAT EPISODE" which is the kind of wack ass retconning only this show can pull off.
