3. Luo Binghe - When he fell into the abyss his ass broke his fall
4. Wei Wuxain - Mo Xuanyu made sure to leave the Yiling Laozu the best ass he could
4. Shang Qinghua - his self insert character had to have some other good assets beside scheming, moderate but nice ass
6. Yue Qingyuan - Worked VERY hard to sculpt his ass, it's nothing grand but it's there
7. Mobei Jun - Tits are bigger
8. Lan Zhan - One of the rules is against a big ass
9. Hua Cheng - can't be considered flat but at the right angle his bones will dig into you (He can shape shift so technically he can be anyone on this list but this is his default)
10. Shen Qingqiu - There is nothing, Binghe slaps it like it's concrete
I know you said top 10, but I can only think about the main ones so it just turned to a list

I really love how in the breadth of range Xie Lian shows, never does he ever defer to power. One of the earliest (chronologically) scenes we see with this is when he was still just a beloved prince. For one, Xie Lian disregards everyone telling him that he should have let Hong Hong’er fall to his death to continue the parade, because letting a child die to preserve a festival tradition is morally bankrupt. Then later, Qi Rong is injured by Feng Xin—indirectly on Xie Lian’s orders—and despite the fact that Qi Rong was in the wrong (causing chaos, destruction, and injury in the capital streets, attempting to publicly murder a small child, acting above the law and against the direct royal family for his own whims), Qi Rong still demands that Feng Xin’s arm be broken, to which the king agrees because “a servant should never injure royalty.” Xie Lian, seeing the blatant corruption in this, tells his father that if he really thinks Feng Xin was wrong, then Xie Lian, most beloved prince of his kingdom, should be punished in his stead for giving him those orders. Xie Lian never backs down from this, using his status to attempt to cow his own father THE KING into admitting fault and backing down, and it was only because Feng Xin broke his own arm and kowtowed to end the dispute (“you shouldn’t fight with your father, Xie Lian”) that it was “resolved.”
After his ascension, we see him refuse to listen to the older, more “experienced” gods—including Jun Wu—who mock him for attempting to save his kingdom, telling him people are only good for the worship they provide while their actual lives mean nothing. When his kingdom is destroyed and he is at his lowest after being abandoned by his family and friends, he refuses to give in to Bai Wuxiang goading him into destroying Yong’an, despite the fact that none of the people stopped to help him as he lay for days with a sword through him (which by his own stipulations, meant they deserved death). When he ascends again and Jun Wu offers him his place back in the heavens, he rejects the offer, choosing to wander as a powerless, fortune-less immortal amongst the people over living comfortably as a powerful but removed god.
During his third ascension, he refuses to allow the other more popular and powerful gods to escape accountability for their actions, even as he is threatened for it. He goes after Pei Xiu despite everyone saying that it would get him on Pei Ming’s bad side, because he refuses to allow Banyue to take the blame for another’s actions, just because she is a ghost and he is a god. He refuses to stop associating with Hua Cheng despite everyone telling him to because, again, their hatred of the ghost king was based on bias and superiority complexes rather than the reality of who Hua Cheng was.
I could really go on and on, but you get the point: Xie Lian never bows to power or hierarchy to dictate his morality. He knows what’s right and wrong, and he’s gonna do the right thing, status quo and societal expectations be damned.

Hi! Could you please do hualian (together or separate) with a mortal s/o who has reincarnated? Thank you!!! (I don't normally do request like this so I'm kinda nervous)
Hey anon! I'm so sorry I'm only responding to you now. Thank you so much for waiting! I really like this prompt so I'll try my best. Hope you like it!
(I'll do a mix of both here. from personal pov to hc of them together)
I was listening to this playlist video on yt while writing
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
When Xie Lian saw you he couldn't believe it. He thought it was just some spirit messing with him. But no it was you. It was you.
Time stood still while flashbacks of memories and feelings you shared styarted flooding back in. From the joyous times where everything seemed right to the unbearable grief, rage and sorrow from your loss. By the time he'd recovered you had already disappeared into the crowd.
He wandered around for a while until he heard the voice of his beloved in the comunication array. "Dianxia where are you? Did you forget about our date in Yu Jun mountain for our 50th anniversary. I'm counting on your wonderfull cooking." "Ah yes San Lang I'm on my way!"
Xie Lian arrived and Hua Cheng was quick to greet him with a peck on the lips. A cheeky gesture that held an insurmountable of love. "Gege everything's ready and this tine I'll make sure we won't have any interruptions" "Hmm" Xie Lian was looking at the horizon deep in thought. "Gege are you alright? You seem distant. What happened today?"
"I saw them" xie lian blurted
"Who?" San Lang inquired
"Y/N san lang."
"..."
" I-I couldn't believe it myself either but- "
"No."
"What?"
"No, that's impossible they're dead" Hua chengs face was deadpanned. Showing no emotion "San Lang it's true I saw them today at the market"
"No gege they're dead I saw them die"
It was brutal and ice-cold. Xie Lian knew this was a touchy subject but he pressed on. "I think they've finally reincarnated" "..." "It's been so long since I've seen their face...seen those eyes-" "Dianxia I'm very sorry but it seems there is trouble in ghost city and it requires my presence. I'm terribly sorry but I must go. I'll meet you in puqi shrine." with that hua cheng disappeared. Xie Lian knew Hua cheng didn't need to go to ghost city, yin yu could basically manage ghost city without hua cheng for a year in the least. He'd seen it. Alas xie lian sighed and he knew hua cheng just needed space.
Tumblr media
Hua Cheng didn't even try to find you. With his network already so spread out (yin yu) it was too easy to find out where you were.
You were there. Rigth there.
You were working in a lantern shop. Helping the owner preparing for the grand festival that celebrated the two deities of the village. Hua Cheng could only watch. Fighting the urge to come to you and hold you. To make sure you were real. It took too much of him when he lost you right in his arms. He wanted to protect you. So much so that you'd never leave like that ever again.
But he couldn't. He didn't move and just stared at you until the shop closed.
The walk back to puqi shrine felt longer than usual. With all his turmoil at least he knew with certainty that he could always find comfort in his beloved's arms. Xie Lian swallowed him in a hug as soon as Hua cheng laid down. "So how were they?" "Still has that same selflessness... they were helping the old Tao with the lanterns for tomorrow " "Do you want to meet them?" "I don't know" "I don't know either. To be honest I'm scared." hua cheng turned cupping xie lian's face "It will be alright. We've been through worse."
The day of the festival was hectic. You were filling in for old Tao's nephew that broke his leg two days before the festival and the customers were flooding the humble stall, the craftsmanship and ability of old Tao that translated to his lanterns was indeed mesmerizing. After things slowed down old Tao gave you time off to enjoy the rest of the festival. You went straight to the food stalls and grabbed some "chastity meatballs" you always found the name a bit odd but the tale was that the Scrap‌ ‌Immortal saved a family by offering the ghosts those meatballs and went to a quiet table to enjoy your treat.
After the meal, you got up but tripped on your robes and bumped into a man and spilled some liquor on them. They made quite a fuss and were very angry. As they prepared to strike you, you closed your eyes and prepared for impact. But it never came.
A strong hand pale as chalk was holding tightly onto the wrist of the man. A youth that had such a delicate physique was looking at the man like he was about to kill him.
"Is there a problem here?" Hua cheng inquired.
The look from his threatening gaze was enough to send the man running. As he was out of sight Hua cheng swiftly turned away and started walking. Until he felt a gentle tug on his sleeve "Hey gongzi wait up! I never got the chance to thank you. Can I offer you a meal to repay your act of bravery and kindness?"
The young man turned to you with a face of disgust. But his eyes were of melancholy and hurt.
"Hong'er?"
Hua Cheng breathed in sharply and held his breath. His pupils slightly shrunk. "Ah, I'm sorry I don't know why I called you by that name, forgive me. You do look quite familiar..."
The resurgence of memories foreign to you started flooding back into your mind at a rapid speed. The fog started clouding your mind and you started to lose your balance. But before you could fall you were enveloped by soft white fabric.
"San Lang let´s get them somewhere safe"
That was the last thing you heard before falling into slumber.
Tumblr media
Alright! Time for some hc!
Ok so while you were sleeping you regained your memories of them. You saw everything happen before your eyes. How you met Xie Lian and Hong'er when the kingdom of Xianle was vast and prosperous. The memories you made with them. How you died in honger's arms in the war. Everything.
You woke up in a staw mat. The two faces you thought you'd never see again now are looking at you with worry.
Your eyes started to swell up with tears and pulled them both into your embrace while softly crying.
Xie lian closed his eyes and embraced you with so much strength to compensate for all the years filled with regrets and let out a deep sigh.
Hua cheng on the other hand hugged you reluctantly and buried his face on your shoulder, biting his trembling lip to keep himself under control.
He was the first to break the embrace and booked it into the woods. With you following behind for a while.
He stopped at a lake and turned to you.
"I'm sorry"
"For what?"
"For leaving you"
You got closer to hua cheng and just held him there.
"It's ok. I'm here now"
You both stayed there for a while. Sitting in front of the lake embracing each other. Hua cheng with his head on your chest and you carding your fingers through his hair. Xie Lian Joined you shortly.
Now! Obviously they put you up to speed on all the events that happened. And you were incredulous at the adventures and plots they uncovered. But you were glad everything turned out in the end.
Surprisingly, an activity you guys like to do together is fishing
Even though you and hua cheng had to "fish" xie lian out of the sea most of the times.
You help xie lian in collecting trash so you can sell it.
Dude. When I tell you sleeping with them is THE BEST THING
Take that info as you wish 😏
They would introduce you to their friends. Even yushi huang!
Becoming buddies with shi qingxuan was bound to happen.
Thankfully mnq although at the beginning skeptical, accepted you more then hua cheng for xie lian.
Travelling with them to other lands is so enjoyable.
Hua cheng likes to spook you with sneaky kisses on your neck
Giving gifts to each other bcs something reminded you of them is very frequent.
One day after xie lian came from working in the rice fields you were preparing dinner and he sneaked up behind you, covering your eyes "Now who from my two lovely husbands might this be?" you said playfully.
Xie lian's heart skipped a beat.
"It's me dear" he said pecking your cheek lovingly.
He then took your hand stroking it lovingly and and sliding a grass ring in your finger.
"I did that with a couple of grass I found. I know it's nothing compared to san lang's elaborate rings but-" he was interrupted with your kiss.
"I love it A-lian"
xie lian and identity issues
this is something i'll probably want to expand on more as i give it more thoughts later but right now i'm just. thinking.
i'm thinking of xie lian in book 2 who has to realize that he is not as invicible as he thought. he is powerful yet he cannot do enough. he is not enough. he cannot save his country, he cannot help the common people, if anything he makes it worse.
i'm thinking of xie lian in book 4 who has to get used to a life with no title, no riches, no priviledge. he has to live as no one, and if people find him out he will not be celebrated like he used to be, he will be captured, beaten, or worse, who knows.
i'm thinking of xie lian after being stabbed 100 times, so disconnected from his destroyed body that he can't recognize himself. i'm thinking of xie lian becoming white no face, hiding his face and seeking revenge, turning his back on everything he was before.
i'm thinking of xie lian after wuming's death, after changing his mind and not cursing the Yong'an people but causing the death of his last believer in the process. the distance between what he would have wanted to be and what he ended up being, doing.
i'm thinking of xie lian in mount tong'lu learning about the past of white no face and starting to think they're the same person. thinking maybe he was the one doing all this. thinking this was all meant to be.
it's just, like. young xie lian was so ambitious, and rightly so; everyone told him he could achieve anything, be anything, he ascended so early, was so powerful and so loved so early on. he started high, only to jump from heaven and land terribly low, in a 6-feet deep hole, unable to crawl out of it. the distance between what he was and what he ended up as. i know the war took a couple years to end but the change was still probably very brutal for him.
especially during his first banishment. at first it could have been alright. he had his parents. he had feng xin. he had mu qing. everything was new and unfamiliar and wrong but he had them, he knew them, they were familiar at least. even if xie lian had failed they were still with him, they still loved him.
and then mu qing left. and xie lian's view of relationships started to shatter. and then he was against mu qing on the land of cultivation and he was the one being humiliated and rejected. and then he was losing himself with the stress of white no face, becoming crazy with anguish and despair. and he couldn't provide enough for his parents, and he was afraid feng xin would leave, and he couldn't recognize himself. how had he fallen so low? how had he failed so much?
and then the temple. he wanted to fight white no face, to get rid of him once and for all. but white no face broke him without even lifting a finger. he shattered his faith in the goodness of the world by showing him how cruel it could be. and afterwards...
just think. being tortured for a whole night, used by hundreds of people for their own benefit, left torn open and raw without care. but you heal and you recover and your body hides any trace of that event. did you really go through it? did it really happen? did it happen like you think it did? was it really that bad? was the pain that severe? your body hid it all. you'll never know. the only thing you have are you memories. but can you trust them?
anyway. after that, xie lian comes back to his parents and feng xin. he steals. he doesn't care. he's angry, he's raw, he's weak. feng xin leaves. his parents leave. he's alone.
he's completely alone. he doesn't even have himself anymore. his old self is dead, his old self was nothing, his old self was naive and stupid. xie lian trying to kill himself even though it's useless is symbolic of him completely leaving his old self with his parents and what was familiar, to become someone else entirely. to abandon this part of himself.
it's explicit as white no face that xie lian completely rejects his previous identity of crown prince and god. he does not want to be called that. he does not want to be reminded of it. he hates this past self so much that being associated to it makes him feel humiliated and ridiculed.
only that old part of him is not entirely dead. xie lian still hesitates, deep down, to release the spirits. a part of him still wants to believe. he wants to be proven wrong. he wants the world to give naive xie lian another chance. it's the bamboo hat man that does that for him.
i just think the distance between xie lian, his body, and his mind, is very interesting. i didn't mention how he is completely disconnected from his body even 800 years later because i feel like it's more dissociation from the self than an identity issue (struggling to connect your thoughts to your actions and/or associate them with your perception of self, or even simply not having any definite perception of self especially when you are traumatized) but. i'll definitely make a post about that some day.
that was a bit long but i just. wanted to put some thoughts down. thx for reading up til here ??
Yandere Hualian x reader.
Warning: In the fem reader's first life, she was the younger sister of General Pei Ming. She lived as a beautiful young woman loved by her brother, without caring that he was a womanizer. Then, according to Pei Ming's ascension story, when he was accused of treason and broke his sword. However, the reader remained in the mortal realm and was unjustly executed. After 800 years she is reincarnated again, but as a humble traveler, there she meets Xie Lian and Huan cheng (you decide how) after many adventures together. He then reunites with his brother, although at first he does not remember him, although Pei Ming insists that he was once his brother. Little by little she will remember her past life. In the end he has a relationship with Huan cheng and Xie lian, and when he remembers his previous life, he sadly dies, but some time later he is reincarnated again.
(I based this request on some Chinese dramas, thank you for accepting it.)
Oooh interesting, also my first heaven officials blessing/tgcf request yay!
Warning: noob author, female reader, yandere characters, and others.
Characters: hualian (hua cheng and xie lian).
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You were the little sister to pei Ming, you didn’t mind his womanizing ways but you always scold him to be careful as one of those woman he woo’s could seek revenge when he breaks her heart. Though not many gods knew about you as you had died a little after your brother ascended to godhood, falsely accused and executed over a misunderstanding along with how you were the little sister to pei Ming so they thought you had a part in the rebellion even though you were innocent, your brother couldn’t save you as he had only learned after your death that you were in trouble and it was already too late to save you.
Pei Ming has hope that you might reincarnated or turned into a ghost and he just couldn’t find you good enough. He has searched high and low for you, and when he gets frustrated he usually woo women’s hearts and release his frustration by having sex with them and leaving afterwards to continue searching for you after the stress and frustration is out of his body.
Pei Ming was right to think you reincarnated though it was only after 800 years had you finally reincarnated this time as a young female and humble traveler, each time you have left a place he would arrive missing you each time as you have never stayed in one place for too long which resulted you in meeting a nice young man by the name of xie lian who is a humble cultivator also traveling. You soon start having a crush on xie lian as he is such a kind person so it was no surprise when you started developing feelings for the young man.
On your journey with xie lian you meet many interesting people and fight against some enemies as well, though even when you can fight it’s not as good as two junior officials from the heavens and your crush; xie lian, fighting though xie lian always seems to be there for you no matter what and can protect you and your weak spots which warms your heart and love for him.
You soon met hua cheng when you had became a bride bait to lure out the ghost groom or also known as ghost bride as you all soon found out that the ones behind the disappearance of brides was a woman one who shared history with pei Ming, who you find familiar in name but can’t place where it was familiar. Pei jr saw you and noted to tell his father about you.
You later met San lang when he was with you while you and xie lian was riding a cart together to get back home to your little shrine in piqu village, later spending the night there with you and xie lian before the two junior officials came by again with another mission to banyue(?) pass. Many months later and many adventures later you, San lang who you later found out was hua cheng, and xie lian who you also found out later was a god, started a relationship together.
Pei Ming had soon asked xie lian if he could meet you as you very well could be his sister who finally reincarnated, xie lian at first was worried that pei Ming would flirt with you but soon found out that you were pei Ming’s reincarnated sister and let pei Ming meet you though with a subtle warning on if pei Ming hurt you he and hua cheng would show no mercy even if he was your past life brother. You were skeptical about the situation between you and pei as you had no memories and there wasn’t really any proof and pei Ming could have gotten the wrong person but after meeting pei Ming you kept getting memories of your past life but before you could celebrate on finding out the pei Ming is actually your brother you were sadly killed by a jealous woman who had mistaken you for pei Ming’s lover instead of sister.
The woman was soon tortured and killed by hua cheng, xie lian and pei Ming, thankfully the woman was a ghost so xie lian and pei Ming didn’t get in trouble on killing her if she was human, and even if she was it would be easy to hide that fact considering who the three were. Hua cheng and xie lian are now on the hunt for your next life with pei Ming as the two both love you and won’t let you go even after you die and pei had just found you he won’t lose your next life like he did last time which means he gives up on womanizing if it meant you won’t get hurt like you did last time. You won’t ever escape them and no one will ever take you away from them now.
(A/n: hope yall liked it!! I decided on making pei Ming a platonic yandere as I thought it fit plus since xie lian and hua cheng were already yandere i thought why not him too? lol anyway hope yall have a wonderful day/evening/night!!)

Miya&Mia's Tickletober Day 14 - Roleplay
HuaLian
Tumblr media
A/N: It's still October 14th here! We have a rushed ugly fic but I hope you enjoy it! Also, no beta read! Sooorryyyyy
Tumblr media
Xie Lian giggled as he adjusted the eyepatch on his own right eye. He looked at himself in the mirror and his smile was so wide that Hua Cheng, who was watching from behind, almost felt heat on his always cold cheeks. Hua Cheng's red clothes were slightly loose and a little long, but from then on, the outfit fit him perfectly. Even that stupid hand-embroidered belt that hugged his waist.
"I didn't know gege would enjoy wearing my clothes this much," Hua Cheng purred, a smirk pulling at his lips. "His Highness should've told me earlier."
Xie Lian turned to face his husband and his eyes twinkled. It was rare to see Hua Cheng wearing such light-color clothing and Xie Lian had second thoughts about this little game. His worn white robe looked ridiculous on someone as elegant and absolutely breathtaking as Hua Cheng. He looked beautiful in every way, but the clothes did not do justice to everything that Hua Cheng was.
He hummed, frowning slightly.
"What is the matter, Your Highness? Do I make that face often? That is something terrible."
Hua Cheng's comment made Xie Lian's lips spread into a bright smile, something very unlikely in Hua Cheng.
"I am sure I do not tease you like that, gege," he said and he laughed loudly when Hua Cheng's eye widened. "What's the matter, gege? Did you like that so much?" His worries were quickly forgotten, he knew that Hua Cheng would never judge his clothes, in fact, he thought that after this little role-play, Hua Cheng would buy him three new tunics of the best fabric.
Hua Cheng opened and closed his mouth a few times like a fish out of water and Xie Lian had to laugh, but he tried to make his laughter sound a bit deep and teasy like Hua Cheng's. Smirking playfully and mischievously like Hua Cheng always did, he hugged his lover's waist, one stray hand going to grab his ass.
Hua Cheng gasped loudly, jumping a little. "Y-Your Highness! A-Ah," he gulped, jumping again when he felt another squeeze. "I- I mean, San Lang."
Xie Lian was around a head smaller than Hua Cheng, so he had to throw his head back a little to look at his husband's face directly. He chuckled when he saw how flustered he had become. His fair cheeks were as white as ever, no blood rushing through them, but he looked nervous and his eye was still wide, looking at Xie Lian.
Xie Lian giggled. "Good job, His Highness. Don't forget who you are right now."
"San Lang is teasing me too much," Hua Cheng said slowly and Xie Lian felt his ears getting a little hot when he heard that phrase he said at least twice a day.
"Oh? I thought gege loved it when I teased him. Don't you love me anymore, Your Highness?"
Hua Cheng was at a loss for words, and Xie Lian was very surprised to have his husband like this. It was extremely adorable, he thought he understood why Hua Cheng enjoyed teasing him so much.
Xie Lian giggled, suddenly lowering himself so he could pick Hua Cheng up, bridal style. Hua Cheng gasped, clinging to Xie Lian's neck as the Crown Prince walked them to their divan, where he placed Hua Cheng gently before laying on top of him.
Hua Cheng chuckled, his hands going to grab Xie Lian, but he held his wrists and quickly pinned them up above Hua Cheng's head, making him gasp.
"Oops, did gege want to hold me? What a shame, now he can't."
"S-San Lang," Hua Cheng whined. "Why- ah! G-Gege, wahait, nohohot-"
"Ah-ah, I am no gege, Your Highness. I am San Lang and San Lang loves to tickle His Highness."
Hua Cheng broke into loud giggles as he felt fingers skittering against one of his hips. He tried to pull his arms down, but Xie Lian was holding him tightly.
"G-Gegehehehe-"
"That's you, silly."
"Sahahan Lahahang! Plehehease, nohohot tihihick- AHAHA!"
Xie Lian giggled to himself as he squeezed Hua Cheng's hips, jumping from one to the other to have him jumping and shrieking with laughter. He knew his husband wasn't used to tickling at all, Xie Lian was on the receiving end most of the times, so a few squeezes were enough to have Hua Cheng laughing nearly in hysterics.
He was so cute.
"Oh? I always forget how ticklish His Highness is," he purred like Hua Cheng usually did. "I can't seem to get enough of his beautiful laughter so I must tickle him more!"
"S-SAHAHAN LAHAHANG! Plehehease, not thehehere!" He cackled when Xie Lian moved his hands to his inner thighs. "Unfahahair!"
"How is this unfair, gege? It's not my fault you are so ticklish!"
If Hua Cheng could blush, Xie Lian had a feeling he'd be flushing to his ears right now, or at least he knew he would be blushing out of his mind with his husband tickling him mercilessly, but that was something he often did.
"Maybe if gege gives me a kiss…"
"YEHEHES! Yehehehes, Sahahahan Lahahang!"
Xie Lian laughed, letting go of Hua Cheng's wrists and quickly burying his hands under his arms to keep tickling him. Hua Cheng's laughter ringed deliciously through the whole Manor as Xie Lian tickled him. He never thought he'd enjoy this silly idea so much, but he hoped Hua Cheng would be up to try this some other time again.
"I sahahahaid I'll kihihiss you!"
Xie Lian giggled, "ah you're right, but I will tell you when!"
"GEHEHEHEGE!"

fengqing + 41 pls
PS you're my favorite fq writer
41. --to pretend.
Last time when they broke up, it was only for a few days, and everyone knew it wasn't official. This time, it's been almost a whole month, and the only reason they haven't told anyone is because of the wedding. Xie Lian made all of the arrangements with the assumption they'd be together, and not wanting to ruin his day is the only thing Feng Xin and Mu Qing still agree on.
Xie Lian finds them at the lantern-lit reception, looking radiant in the scarlet wedding silks that contrast his usual preference for white. "I'm so happy that we can all be here together!" he declares as he sweeps his friends into a three-way hug. "Who knows--maybe there will be another wedding to look forward to in the near future, hmm?"
Feng Xin looks away first, which leaves Mu Qing to be the one to force a smile. Two months ago, the comment would have made him blush... no. Better make it three. Now it only feels like a kick in the gut, except he can't let it show.
"Let's get a picture together," Xie Lian suggests, slipping his phone out of his sleeve. "Here. You two together. Mu Qing, your arm's the longest, so you should take it."
As they jostle into position, Mu Qing finds himself leaning against Feng Xin, a gesture that used to be familiar; he feels Feng Xin's breath near his ear, even catches the faint smell of his favorite shampoo when he turns to give the phone back to Xie Lian. Feng Xin smiled for the picture, so he doesn't want to look at it.
Still, he makes the mistake of checking Feng Xin's expression as he draws back. Feng Xin's eyes drop to his lips, then travel back up to meet Mu Qing's gaze with an obvious question. Mu Qing inclines his head in silent agreement.
The kiss is quick--affectionate, almost. Mu Qing is tempted to twist his fingers into the hem of Feng Xin's suit jacket and pull him back in, to make the most of the few hours they have left before they return to the reality of their breakup.
Xie Lian's cheeks are flushed a happy shade of pink. "You're cute when you get along. Ah, there goes Lang Qianqiu--I've been looking for him all night. Wait right here!"
As he swans off, Mu Qing sighs, stealing another glance towards Feng Xin. They'll have to break the news to Xie Lian eventually. Unless, like last time...
"Don't," Feng Xin warns under his breath as he reaches for his cocktail glass. "I told you it was final."

Heheeeeee I am in pain… finished book 6 and well Xie Lian broke my heart. With that said i kinda hate how entitled mu qing and feng xin felt over “helping” Xie Lian in the beginning of the book when they were trying to get him away from Hua Cheng. Like I know from their perspective Hua Cheng is really creepy and like he kinda is but come on I don’t think they have the right to chastise Xie Lian over trusting him. It especially rubbed me the wrong way when feng xin told Hua Cheng to leave Xie Lian alone cuz he’s suffered enough, like, how do you know? You guys weren’t there! And and when you finally got to see him again after 800 years instead of going to his side they hid themselves! And I get it they might have not been over shame but come on! And when they did go to his side they weren’t mature enough to put their difference aside and kinder to him! Like when I first started reading the book they also rubbed me the wrong way… Like I will give props to like Feng Xin for kinda being nice to him in the Lantern ceremony buuuut idk this whole scene where they’re treating Xie Lian like he’s enchanted pissed me off. All I’m saying is if I were Xie Lian I would totally have referenced they fact that both ditched me and may not have the right to talk about what’s good for me…
Anyway off to read book7 heheeeeeeee

Wei Wuxian just wants to help the lonely little snake recover his lost love (?). Wait, what do you mean he lost Lan Wangji? That wasn’t part of the plan! Luo Binghe just wants his Shizun back. Shizun didn’t abandon him again, right? Shizun would never do that. He needs to find Shen Qingqiu, before he loses his mind. Hua Cheng is too fucking stressed to deal with one idiot trying to take a soul back to the human realm and another idiot (an idiot who claims to be Emperor of the Demon Realm) crying and sniveling over some man that he’s looking for. Or maybe he’s just grumpy that his gege is gone. --- Lan Wangji isn’t too upset, he knows his Wei Ying will surely come to rescue him soon enough. Shen Qingqiu is freaking out enough for all three of them. Is this some wife plot that he forgot about?! Well, news flash world! He wasn’t some damsel that Binghe had to rescue! If anything, he needed to save himself and get back to him before his husband’s glass, maidenlike heart broke into pieces. Xie Lian doesn’t know what he’s supposed to do. Escape obviously, since his San Lang must be panicking by now. But beyond that? He has no idea.

He turned and was just about to cross the threshold when Xie Lian reached out automatically and pulled him back, almost blurting, “Don’t go!” But Xie Lian knew that was an impossible ask of him.
In the end, he only said softly, “Let’s go. But don’t leave my side. If anything happens, I will protect you.
Hua Cheng was stunned by this. It was a good moment before the corner of his lips curled, and he broke into a wide smile. “All right. Gege. Remember to protect me.”

The Guadianship of GuZi - Storage Unit (Draft)
Lang Qianqiu’s phone was ringing at midnight, and better be for a good reason.
It was Xie Lian’s name on the caller ID. It was most likely was not a good enough reason if was about Qi Rong, but Xie Lian was watching over Gu Zi while Qi Rong was out of town, so it better for him to answer.
“Is everything alright?” Lang Qianqiu asked right to the point.
“Gu Zi is fine, but Qi Rong isn’t.” Not a good enough reason, but Lang Qianqiu didn’t hang up the phone.
“I’m not even his real lawyer Xie Lian, and this is far outside of working hours.”
“I’m sorry, but I can’t have him here like this, and I didn’t know anyone else to call for him”
Lang Qianqui was getting a jacket and sweatpants on. “Like what? Is he alright?”
“I think he is off his medication, or having an episode I don't know. If you hadn’t answered, I was going to call the police.”
“You can’t do that. It would ruin all the work he has done for his case.”
“For that reason I called you. Will you come talk some sense into him?”
“I don’t know how much sense Qi Rong has in him, but I’m on my way.” Lang Qianqui hung up the call as he got into his car.
Xie Lian’s home was not a short drive from Lang Qianqui’s own, but he didn’t need drive all the way there. Qi Rong was easily recognizable on the side of the road. Lang Qianqui had to illegally turn onto the road the walking Qi Rong was on.
“I’M NOT A FUCKING FUCK, YOU FUCK-” Qi Rong began to yell when Lang Qianqui had pulled alongside him. Qi Rong had got in as he had before once Lang Qianqui had stopped for him. “Take me back to Xie Lian’s. Tell him he can’t keep my kid from, just because he doesn’t like me.”
“I’m here because Xie Lian was going to call the police on you.”
Qi Rong broke into a hysterical laughter or into high pitched sobs. Lang Qianqui couldn’t tell the difference between the sounds without seeing his face, and Qi Rong had bent over with the power of his shaking.
“He has a kid that is not his too, but he doesn’t jump the hoops. Even though he is a sugar baby to that damn kingpin Crimson Rain. I’m here trying to get Gu Zi home, and Xie Lian said I couldn’t take him. What gave him the fucking right to do that? Being better than me?”
It was crying. Qi Rong was crying. Even with the maniacal smile there were tears streaming from his eyes.
He looked to Lang Qianqui for an answer.
“He is married to him, and Gu Zi isn’t yours yet."
“Gu Zi more mine than anyone else. Xie Lian is just like me, you know. He looks so perfect on the outside, but he is just as broken as me inside.” Qi rong was laughing into his hands.
“Are you off your medication?”
“I’M NOT ON ANY MEDS!“ Qi Rong threw his hands up letting the statement come out in between ugly guffawing. “I just said that because Xie Lain wouldn’t even LOOK at me if I hadn’t. He would have supported the state in taking Gu Zi from me.” Qi Rong suddenly deflated. As if just the thought of having Gu Zi taken from his care had killed him.
Lang Qianqui didn’t know how to deal with a forlorn Qi Rong, but he could not risk going over to Xie Lian now.
Lang Qianqui didn’t need to put the address to Qi Rong’s into the gps, but he would have welcomed the robotic voice over silent Qi Rong. Lang Qianqui had taken the minute of every red light to look over at Qi Rong until he came up to the apartments.
“Are you able to make it upstairs alright?”
“No, no, I can’t go back home without Gu zi.”
“I’m not taking you home with me.” Lang Qianqui couldn’t because then the ghost of Qi Rong would be there in the same way it hung around his office, and his car.
“No, I’ll go somewhere else”
“I’m driving you there?” Lang Qianqui asked incredulously.
“Yeah? I’m pretty sure you don’t want me driving your car”
Lang Qianqui winced at the thought of that.However, he wasn’t going to drive aimlessly. An excuse Lang Qianqui used as he didn’t want to start driving while Qi Rong was still visibly upset.
‘I’m not going to leave you on a street corner’, was what Lang Qianqui thought, but he didn’t think Qi Rong would appreciate the implication. “I’m not driving anywhere until I have some answers. Are you-… Why were you causing trouble at Xie Lian’s?”
“Because I’m psychotic, didn’t you already know?”
“Bullshit Qi Rong. I know-,” I know you better than that, “Being your messed up self can't be your excuse everytime.” Lang Qianqui caught Qi Rong's reflection in the window. He laughed, but had a deep frown. “I’m just doing what you, scumface, told me to do. I found the cow that pushed the kid from her hole, and that was the only thing she ever did for the kid. She doesn’t want anything to with him even though the fucker is dead.”
“What is the issue, that is what we needed?”
“The issue is this paper proves what Gu Zi fears the most that no one in his life has ever given a shit about him.
The street light was weak to illuminate the vehicle through the tinted windows, but still Qi Rong’s eyes were burning in the dark. The venom on the words was tangible.
Everything is supposed to be for the best of the kid, but how does knowing this bullcrap become what’s best for him.”
Lang Qianqui wanted to protest that it didn’t matter, because Qi Rong cared about Gu Zi now. However, Lang Qianqui knows how the opinions of people no longer in your life can haunt you. He thought the constant doubt if he was making his parents proud. He been asking for a while how his family would have felt about him helping Qi Rong. Then, Lang Qianqui thought of Gu Zi’s bright smiles and light laughter. He remembered how fear gripped the little boy when he doubted if Lang QianQui would be able to keep him and Qi Rong together. The kid didn’t deserve this cruel world, but an all better world.
“We won’t include her consent and waiver. It will be tough, but we will be able to get around it.” Lang QianQui stated. He put the car into drive again. “How did you even find her?”
“Trash finds trash. It’s the reason why there is a floating patch of hot garbage in the ocean.”
“Don’t compare yourself to her. You have more heart than she does.”
Lang QianQui was glad to be driving again now, as he couldn’t take his eyes off the road to look at Qi Rong. Lang QianQui would blame the late hour for the near confession. God forbid for anyone to ever admit to ever feel more for Qi Rong than tolerance of his exsistence. Certianly Lang Qianqui, becuase he knew his family wouldn't have approved.
“Drive a few blocks. I’ll tell you where to stop.” Qi Rong’s voice didn’t reveal if he believed Lang Qianqui or not.
Where Qi Rong told Lang QianQui to stop was a storage unit yard. Qi Rong inputted an overnight code and directed him to a unit at the far end of the lot’s last row.
Once Qi Rong opened the unit, Lang QianQui saw at least three canvases on the ground along a wall, blocks of granite at the center, some proof that something had been made of the blocks then smashed, and a couch with a sleeping bag at the end.
Lang QianQui approached the canvases as Qi Rong set up an easel.
Two of the paintings appeared to be portraits of Qi Rong, but the expression was too saintly. Examining the portraits longer, Lang Qianqui realized the face was of Xie Lian. The first surrounded Xie Lian in judeo-christ imagery. Xia Lian in prayer, a sunhat framing his head more like a halo in priestly white, the background a bright, thick red like a shower of blood.
The next appeared to be Xie Lian beheaded, but there was no blood, no gore, only a large black shackle and chain at the neck.
The third, a work in progress, showed Xie Lian with two halves on his face. One smiling beautifully, and there other in pure anguish. One side looking more like Qi Rong than the other.
“You have complex feelings towards your cousin, don’t you?.”
“I hate him. He owes me his life. I want nothing to do with him.” Qi Rong shrugged as if that were a normal declaration.
Lang QianQui once again blamed the lack of sleep over his own nature, but he had to ask, “Do you really think he would have supported the state against you?”
“Xie Lian can’t help himself. His parents were the same. As if any pill would have made me as perfect as Xie Lian.
To ignore me when it didn’t, and to throw me out when it wouldn’t.
After nobody ever cared to ask me, everyone knew what was best for me. Because I’m psychotic, I can’t decide what’s good for me.
If I wasn’t dulled out fast enough then new ‘script. New home, new meds, same shitshow for years. Who even knew why I was fucked anymore when I aged out.
A broken system for broken kids, and breaking kids who weren’t at the start.”
Lang Qianqui, the great lawyer he was, did not have a rebuttal for Qi Rong. Lang Qianqui could see the injustice committed against Qi Rong, but he couldn’t allow it to fully pardon Qi Rong. However, Lang QianQui couldn’t decide what kind of punishment Qi Rong was deserved anymore.
Either way, it was the end of the conversation as Qi Rong was focused on the easel in front of him now.
Lang Qianqui had never seen Qi Rong look so serious, and Qi Rong hummed while he painted. It sounded like Lang Qianqui’s white noise machine, very soothing, much sleepy.
When Lang QianQui stirred he felt so warm, which was so strange since the unit’s door was lifted partially to keep the paint fumes from suffocating them. He could see by opening the weak gray light of dawn coming in, and the condensation of his breath visible.
Qi Rong snuggled closer to his chest under an extended sleeping bag serving a blanket for the both of them. Ah thats why he was warm. Qi Rong was practically on top of him. Lang Qianqui tried to sit up and carry Qi Rong at once, but Qi Rong shifted out his grasp and pinned Lang Qianqiu fully underneath him now.
In this new position Qi Rong was straddled on Lang Qianqui’s thigh, leg in between his, chest flat against each other, Qi Rong’s arms over Lang Qianqui’s shoulders.
Lang Qianqui couldn’t see Qi Rong’s sleeping face anymore, but he felt his breath across his clavicle.
Any shift Lang Qianqui made, would make Qi Rong rub against him.
“You’re awake aren’t you?” Lang Qianqui was convinced of it.
Of course there was no response, so Lang Qianqui attempted to lift Qi Rong off again, but this time Qi Rong landed higher. Knee pressed against morning wood, lips parted at Lang Qianqui’s nape, Qi Rong hands cupping his pecs too purposefully.
A gasp escaped Lang Qianqui as Qi Rong snores heavily.
Lang Qianqui makes a quicker effort, displacing himself completely from Qi Rong before he could be pinned in another compromising position.
Lang Qianqui had wanted to carry Qi Rong to the car before, but now he just needed to leave but he stopped short while running away.
The painting Qi Rong left drying on the easel. It layers on layers of green swatches. It could be a forest, or an endless grassland, but Lang QianQui saw eternal green flames. It was a hellscape. Nothing but darkness in the heat of green fires.
Lang Qianqui hated fires. A fire had taken his whole family, but looking in emerald blaze, Lang Qianqui wanted to give up and be burned away too.
“Come back, I’ll keep my hands to myself this time only.” Qi Rong voice was soft with sleep.
Gods in heaven, Lang Qianqui prayed for some mercy on his heart.
“I knew you were fucking awake.”
“Why, want to do something about it?” Qi Rong said with had less sleep and more mischief in voice.
Lang Qianqui should have hated Qi Rong’s unashamed, forward behavior, but he didn’t. It would cross a line. Professionally, it was unethical.
“I keep telling you, stop trying to pay me in sexual favo-”
“You keep telling me, you aren’t my lawyer, and honestly I’m an ungrateful bastard. I should be charging you, but you couldn’t afford me.”
It would be immoral of Lang Qianqui to take advantage of Qi Rong after the events of last night.
"Are you still drunk? Is that why you’re asking me?”
“Pftssh, that was hours ago.”
Qi Rong came up from behind. Wrapping his arms, still clutching the makeshift blanket, around Lang QianQui. Bring Lang Qianqui into Qi Rong’s space.
I know I’m not good enough, but can’t I want you anyways. Can’t you take pity on me this once, and let’s have this?”
Qi Rong worked his way between Lang QianQui and the painting. Lang Qianqui looked at him, and Qi Rong was looking back. Qi Rong had taken his circle lens out. His grey eyes were the cloudy green in this light.
No. No. No, no, no, no, nononononono.
Lang Qianqui’s heart was beating too fast now. A fire was going to kill him after all.
“You can’t trick me by being pitiful and disgusting anymore. I see you Qi Rong.”
Lang Qianqui grabbed Qi Rong’s face and brought lips to his. A single, innocent kiss, but it was enough.
Lang Qianqui succumbed to the flames.

XianLe trio were inseparable since childhood, but after Feng Xin married Jian Lan the relationship between two of the members became strange.
Every time Mu Qing saw the couple he would turn his head the other way, and every time MQ saw FX he would become irritated and the two would end up fighting over dumb things. No one new when they fell out and no one understood either.
Xie Lian was the most confused and he often tried to reason with them but failing at every attempt.
Not long after marrying JL gave birth to a child. Both parties clearly held care and respect towards each other but this marriage didn't involve much love, some could easily guess the circumstances behind their union, others were blinded by their own denial.
After CuoCuo's second birthday things got more aggressive between the two.
During a gathering between the adults after the child's party, yet again, they got into another argument, over something that to the others wasn't worth the heated fight.
Finally having had enough JL kicked the two out of the house, saying they could only come back after resolving their meaningless stupid quarrel.
But they didn't return that day.
After being kicked out FX followed MQ to his apartment, fighting the whole way, going back and forth blaming one another.
And when they arrived things just got more and more heated, in between the shouts and pointing of fingers MQ finally couldn't take it anymore and exploded, in a moment of anger he let out how frustrated he felt.
knowing FX was with someone else every day, how it hurt to think he was embracing someone else, touching someone else, loving someone else...
His heart ached so much it was almost unbearable, and because he was such a coward he could only transform this pain into anger and direct it towards the other, so he wouldn't end up going crazy.
He shouted how he had this feelings for a long time but didn't dared express them out of fear, he pointed every single thing he loved about FX, and cursed how he loved even the things he hated about the other. He confessed everything.
FX was beyond shocked, his expression frozen since the first word that left MQ's mouth.
He didn't know what to say, his mouth often opened but no words left, he could only walk slowly towards the other and raise his hand.
The slap broke the shouting and a silence fell hard upon them.
MQ's face bore a mixture of confusion, anger and understanding. He stayed silent, not daring to look at FX, but he could feel his gaze almost burning the skin on his face.
At this point he was expecting the other to shout at him with disgust, to slap him even more before turning around to leave.
What he definitely wasn't expecting was to FX not say anything and only grab him by the collar of his shirt and kiss him.
A lot were passing through their heads, but at that moment they could only focus on one thing.
The burning on their chests, and their pants.
And they kissed like their life depended on it.
It was a passion so violent that within seconds their lips were already swelling and a streak of blood could be seen rolling down MQ's chin.
They were so desperate for each other, not caring if their were ripping their clothes off and knocking over some things.
FX's hands traveled through MQ's body desperately, their lips only parted to grasp some air or for their teeth to be sinked into the other's skin, so deep that the bruises would probably take weeks to heal.
The loud moaning could definitely be heard through the entire building, yet, so lost in each other they weren't in the slightest worried about that or anything else right now.
In their whispers they begged for each other, their skins felt like it was on fire but they couldn't bear being apart for even one second, every inch of skin had to be touched by one another.
FX were deep inside of him but MQ couldn't help but beg for him to go deeper and give his all, not caring if it was rough, if he wouldn't be able to walk the next day.
That was a sight that made FX drool a little.
To see MQ begging him, moaning his name with an expression of such undescribable pleasure, it was inebriating.
Throughout the night they reached climax more than they believed it was possible.
In the morning things where a little bit awkward at first but they decided it was time for a civil conversation.
MQ was scared, FX was also scared.
FX admitted, he acted on impulse, his actions were too the consequence of his own repressed feelings for MQ, but what they did wasn't fair to JL.
MQ also understood that, although he couldn't stand seeing them together he didn't have anything against JL, she was a good person.
CC also didn't deserve to have his family broken apart by him. He couldn't help but feel a bit ashamed.
After this night FX knew, he could no longer hide nor control his feelings anymore.
When he arrived home he decided to be honest about everything with JL, naturally this was a great shock to her.
JL knew very well that FX didn't have any romantic feelings for her, she didn't felt like that for him either, but she at least hoped they would be able to build a good relationship and raise CC in a loving home.
JL wasn't heartbroken but she still felt betrayed, she asked FX to leave for some days, so she could have some time to think.
So FX stayed with XL and his husband for a couple of days.
HC couldn't care less about him and his now troubled love life and XL who had started to think of a possibility like this was a bit shocked by this turn of events but not at all surprised.
JL entered with a petition for divorce not long after, they ended in friendly terms and divided the custody of their child.
In the beginning it was hard for JL to get used to FX and MQ together, but she came around, she didn't opposed or prohibited them of being around CC either.
In the end everyone lived in harmony and Cuo Cuo was raised well in two loving homes.
Thought I'd start posting my tt threadfics here bc why not hehe, it's mostly FengQing bc this fandom put me in a FQ brain rot, I can't stop thinking about them hajsjsk

“When you sleep, you snore.”
— #9 from this prompt list
“S’Lang.”
“What is it?”
“I have… a secret. To tell you.”
Hua Cheng chuckled, tucking back some strands of hair behind his boyfriend's ear. “Are you sure it’s a secret you want to tell me while you’re drunk?”
This seemed to make Xie Lian reconsider, at least for a second, before he nodded vigorously. “Yes.”
“Alright then, I’m listening,” Hua Cheng said, shuffling his chair closer to add to the air of mystery around them.
Most of the people at the party ignored them — or rather, they knew they themselves would be ignored if they attempted to join or interrupt them — so they were sitting together on the side, waiting for the excess of alcohol Xie Lian had ingested to wear off.
“It’s not really important,” Xie Lian continued, “But I never told you. Because, it’s not really important.”
“Mhm,” Hua Cheng replied, genuinely curious to know what Xie Lian was talking about at this point.
“Sometimes it happens out of nowhere. But it doesn’t bother me.” Xie Lian leaned forward and covered Hua Cheng’s hand tightly with his, looking into his eyes. “It really doesn’t bother me.”
Hua Cheng grinned, amused. “What doesn’t bother you, gege?”
“When you sleep—”
Just as Hua Cheng blinked, several things happened in the following order:
Something broke somewhere at the other end of the room, the sound resonating crispily even above the music, a shrill scream followed, coming from who he guessed was Shi Qingxuan, the music stopped abruptly, and everyone including Xie Lian looked toward the source of the commotion.
His own gaze remained peacefully on Xie Lian, but the latter seemed to have completely forgotten their previous conversation.
“What happened?” he asked sluggishly.
Only then did Hua Cheng turn around to check what had actually happened, but he didn’t need to look for long to find out, as Shi Qingxuan screamed a second time.
“My brother is going to KILL ME!”
The party was hosted by Shi Qingxuan in one of their family’s properties, big and secluded enough to invite a ton of people and party all night.
However, it turned out that something very important or expensive — Hua Cheng hadn’t cared enough to ask what exactly — had been broke and the party was cut short when Shi Qingxuan panicked and tried to find ways to fix it before their brother found out and forbade them from hosting another party ever again, which, to them, would probably be a fate worse than death.
While Xie Lian had seemed concerned and willing to help, he was in no state to actually be able to help and Hua Cheng had brought him back home to rest.
“Here,” Hua Cheng said as he put a fresh glass of water in Xie Lian’s hands. “Drink this.”
Xie Lian did so obediently, already sitting in bed. “Thank you,” he said quietly when he was finished. He rubbed his face. “I shouldn’t have drunk so much.”
Hua Cheng smiled. “It’s alright, you can let loose from time to time. It’s not like it’s a habit.”
Humming pensively, Xie Lian laid back against the pillows and watched Hua Cheng get ready for bed too.
“But there’s one thing I have to ask,” Hua Cheng resumed as he slipped into bed.
Xie Lian turned his head to look at him. “What is it?”
“You were about to tell me a secret earlier, right before Shi Qingxuan screamed. Can I still know what it was?”
Xie Lian looked confused for a moment before he seemed to remember and facepalmed with a groan. “That… was…” He sighed, taking away his hand from his face. “I don’t know why I wanted to tell you at that moment. It really isn’t a big deal, and it’s not really a secret. I just haven’t told you.”
Hua Cheng tilted his head. “Then tell me?”
Xie Lian looked like he wanted to laugh. “When you sleep… you snore.” A pause. “That’s it, that’s what I wanted to say earlier.”
Hua Cheng stared at him in disbelief before laughing heartily and Xie Lian did the same, before their laughter both died down.
“Is that true?” Hua Cheng asked. “I snore? My bad, sorry for disturbing you, your Highness.”
“Pfft. I really don’t mind. I really don’t know why I said it like it was a big deal. Actually…” he bit his lips. “It’s kind of cute.”
“… Cute?”
“Yes, you’re kind of cute when you snore.”
“How so?” Hua Cheng grinned, shuffling closer to Xie Lian.
“I don’t know… It’s like… Seeing you relaxed, I guess.” They gazed at each other. “I like when you’re asleep.”
Hua Cheng raised his eyebrows.
“I mean! No, I like it more when you’re awake!” He relaxed when Hua Cheng laughed. “It’s just that you’re always so… in control, it’s nice when you’re asleep and I can see your soft side a bit more.”
Hua Cheng hummed and hugged him close. They stayed quiet for a moment before Hua Cheng spoke up again. “Actually, I have a secret to tell you too.” Xie Lian shifted to look at him. “Ah?… What is it?”
Hua Cheng smiled. “You snore when you sleep too.”
— end
