Don’t know why, but I love writing Feng Xin as dumb. Like sure, he’s smart, but if you ask him to notice that Mu Qing has feelings for him or that he, himself, is bi?? He’d probably just stare at you in confusion for stating two very obvious lies and then move on with his day as if nothing happened and he’s not currently pining over his homoerotic rival.

Wei Wuxian dies. Lan Zhan does not accept this and decided to go to the burial mounds and search for his investigation. Maybe he meets "fans" of Wei Wuxian and finds the way to reanimate corpses like him using his demonic cultivation.

Maybe, after waking up, Wei Ying finally understands why he was told not to use that kind of cultivation as he sees Lan Zhan start to lose his mind.

MXTX has really funny lines in her books. This is one of my favorite exchanges:

The figures were dressed in white prisoner garb and had no heads. It appeared they were newly executed criminals, and every one of them held a head in their hands. They wobbled slowly toward the ox cart as their heads buzzed in those bones arms. […] "Um, did you make a mistake? How come it feels like the one holding your head is my body?" "You’re the one whose body grabbed the wrong head!" "Hurry and switch back then, you guys…" "How come the cut around your neck ain’t clean?" "Hahhh, the executioner was a newbie. It him took five or six tries before he managed to chop my head off. Made me think he did it on purpose!" "Your family probably didn’t tip him well enough.
