Is BMI the Best Tool to Determine Healthy Weight?
Body Mass Index is thus the ratio to body weight (measured in kilograms) to height (measured in meters). It is a simple numerical measurement that enables the classification of people on the basis of their body composition.

I’m terrified of how massive my appetite is. I’ve already glutted down almost 8k calories over the course of a couple hours. I’m putting on a few pounds every day. And if I’m really honest, I cannot see that slowing down at all. Feeling fatter is one thing, but feeling constantly distended, bloated, and swollen is another thing. My skin feels taut and overstretched. I’m 300lbs and well over morbidly obese, my bmi is 50, five over, I cannot even begin to comprehend how unhealthy I am. So massive only 15 months into my gain. I’m really struggling to get around without breathing like a hog these days. I’ve also recently discovered I have a triple chin forming, which is absolutely terrifying, (I’ll post it if folks are interested). I keep noticing new stretch marks forming daily, and I can’t curb my appetite in the slightest. I just have to accept I’m going to gain rapidly, might as well see how fast I can pack it on.
1 full size cake: 1390 cal
2 litres of milk: 1240 cal
Cake mix gainer shake: 2500 cal
1 pizza: 1153 cal
10 hash browns (whole packet) 1316 cal
TOTAL: 7599 calories
Ask me anything! I’m gaining 200lbs as fast as I can, let’s see how I handle the weight 😈

freshman 200 (freshman 15 part 3)
today was Jakes first doctors visit since he started college. This didn’t bother Jake. He usually loved the doctor. The doctor would say how healthy he was and to keep doing whatever he was doing. Today was a little different however. When the doctor came into the room Jake was waiting in, a small look of terror washed over his face. “Uhh” he said. Let’s start with your height and weight.
Jake went to the height station first. “6’ 1’’. Said the doctor. That was the same as last time. Then Jake stepped onto the scale. Jake watched as the number slowly climbed. As it neared 150, he expected it to stop. It did not. The number on the scale climbed all the way to 267 pounds. The concerned doctor wrote the number down. Jake was just confused. Was every scale broken or something? The doctor took Jake back to the room and sat him down the chair struggled under Jakes immense weight. “So. What’s going on?” Asked the doctor. Jake was confused. “What do you mean?” Asked Jake. “Well. You’ve gained over 100 pounds Jake. Your BMI has gone from 20.3 to 35.2. That puts you in the obese category Jake” Jake was stunned. He knew he might have gained a few pounds but 100? How could this happen? The doctor did lots of other tests on Jake and to his surprise, Jake was perfectly healthy. His blood pressure, cholesterol and heart were still perfect. The doctor had never seen anything like it. He told Jake that he most likely wouldn’t even have to lose weight. Infact, the doctor wanted to see how far this could go. He told Jake he would give him some pills to help his appetite. Little did Jake know that these would make his appetite even larger.
for the last few months of school. It seemed like everyone was trying to make Jake fat. With his new pills, he was like a bottomless pit. Jake hadn’t been full in weeks. He would spend the whole day stuffing his face with whatever was in the fridge. He would order food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Then he would invite people to his dorm to play video games. The only reason anyone would show up was to see Jake eat however. One time, Alex from down the hall brought over 10 large pizzas. This was like a snack to Jake. He would sit on his bed, completely naked, with a slice of pizza in each hand. Then he would tear through it like it was last meal. Sauce and cheese would coat his chubby face and grease would drip onto his round belly.
the scale in the form has broken a couple weeks ago when Jake tried to stand on it so he scheduled another doctors appointment. This time, the doctor looked quite happy to see Jake. They immediately went to check Jakes weight. 359 pounds. His BMI had grown to an enormous 47.6. The doctor inspected Jakes body. His smooth skin still didn’t have any stretch marks. It was fascinating. Jakes muscles had actually been stronger than ever. Lifting all of that fat was more than Jake had ever lifted. The doctor just examined Jakes body for an hour. He had Jake undress completely to get a better look. He rubbed jakes enormous belly and jiggles his giant moobs. His love handles were huge and spilled over Jakes wide hips. His thighs were the size of thick logs. Jake had even developed a third chin. “I think we need to put you on some stronger pills” said the doctor with an evil grin.
should I continue this story or create a new one? If you have any story ideas feel free to let me know.

Fitness update time baybeeeeeeeee! I once again had to gather the balls to post the photos here so uh. Ye. :D
Like the last one, more details will be under the cut, but for the TL;DR crowd:
Last Update Here
Current: 177lbs | Estimated BMI: 24-26% | Push Pull Legs split at 6 Days a week
Notes: Training stimulus for this block focused on lifting basics and intensity: establishing a stronger mind-muscle connection and knowing how training to true mechanical failure feels like. Additional challenge: Finding maintenance calories and maintaining weight in the general range of 175-180lbs before re-attempting 1st Lean Bulk attempt.
Results: All lifts have seen an increase in working weight. Noticeably more muscle definition overall over the course of the last two months. Weight largely remained the same; assume maintenance calories has been accurately found.
Sooooooo the last two months have been kinda crazy. I took a look at my past lifting logbooks and found that despite my PRs being higher than the last recorded attempt, my overall working weights for all of my lifts hadn't really moved much. Partially out of fear of injury, but mostly due to the noticeable lack of real intensity in the training.
On top of that I found that my weight wasn't going down or up at the calories I was eating at, but my energy had begun to drop and recovery was suffering. Originally I was meant to be in my first bulk, but my weight never moved, and that ultimately resulted in me switching strategies for my nutrition too.
Basic idea: dial up the intensity, RPE of 8-9.5. Find true maintenance calories.
For nutrition: I used the TDEE calculator for my calories this time. It's supposedly more accurate than most other calorie calculators including MyFitnessPal's calculator, which gave me 2200 calories as my "bulk". Welp, turns out that's wrong; 2200 is my cutting number with my current activity level. And given how long I've been in a cut, it explained why, even in the deficit still, my weight never moved: it's too low to gain weight, and with how long I been in a deficit up until then my body was adapted too much to continue losing fat. So I instead switched focus onto finding my actual maintenance calories by immediately bumping my calories to the number the TDEE calculator gave me (2600 cal) and adjusting based on how my weight trend.
Result is, over the course of 2 months I gained 2 pounds but I'm certain this is almost entirely muscle (based on look, measurements, and performance in the gym); I've otherwise hadn't changed weight wise. This is good to know; it means I can eat more than I initially thought and gives me a stronger baseline for when I do actually go into a real bulk.
For training: First thing I focused on was my legs, which was arguably my weak link. This is largely due to an old injury in my left knee made it hard to reach full range of motion, and the strength discrepancy between my left and right leg because of it was pretty noticeable. Correcting it is one of the reasons why I switched to PPL training split, with Legs being trained first every cycle.
For both my legs and my isolation exercises I utilized unilateral versions of all my exercises; working each limb separately instead of together. I also incorporated a different set program: 2 working sets of 6-10 reps, 1-2 sets taken to true mechanical failure. The failure sets were meant for me to get used to the very uncomfortable sensation of training the muscle to- and past - it's actual limit and not my mental limit while maintaining proper form technique. That shit is rough, but it ensured that I was training with actual intensity and I was taking the muscle to true failure for growth, which in turn would help with building better muscle-mind connection with each muscle bilaterally and unilaterally.
For compounds I didn't take any of the lifts to true failure due to the higher fatigue and recovery toll. Instead I focused on building strength skill, so the set program was: 1 Topset (heaviest set of the exercise) 1-3 reps, 2 working sets for 5-8 reps. Any hypertrophy work for these lifts were always done with machine accessories for stability and safety.
Results thus far has seen my overall strength increasing, my knee is much stronger and stable (tested my squats and I can safely squat my own bodyweight without pain or wobbling, which is a feat due to being unable to do that months ago), and I confidently can say I have better form and idea of intensity.
-------
SO! With all of that said I'd say this block was overall a success after much trial and error. Now that I've gotten a better idea of a few things, my next move right now is to take a deload week for some much needed rest, then structure my next block for a more strength focus alongside my 2nd attempt at an actual lean bulk. The goal is to gain at least 4-5 pounds of muscle by the beginning of next year and make a new maxout for my PRs, so I might look a lil soft the next time I do a progress report but hopefully I'll be much stronger and ready for my second cutting phase.
This shit is hard, but I'm loving it to death man. I'm having a lot of fun learning and going through the journey and now I can confidently say that I'm at the Intermediate stage of lifting! I also think I know the type of weightlifter I am now. I've heard the term "powerbuilding" a few times now and I feel it fits; primarily lifting to build strength, but also throwing in some bodybuilding rhetoric for aesthetics.
Like I said a while back I'm seriously considering recording my workouts and posting those as I go on my Instagram, and I've actually bought a lil phone stand to practice recording and being more comfortable in front of the camera. We'll see how that goes I suppose!
But uhhhhh YE! That's all my yapping for now. Thank you for listening, and if you have any fitness goals feel free to share them with me! :)

I feel so fake right now what's wrong with me?
am I even ànā? I sure didn't act like it today.
I went to a sleepover with my bsf, we ate Naan bread and curry which I couldn't get out of.
before bed I was offered a granola bar and said yes?? like what? and this morning before leaving when I woke up she made me peanut butter honey toast. I love her sm obviously because like that is the sweetest thing but I'm like AHAHAJAHSVSHEKJR
don't worry guys. it gets worse
we went to McDonald's. my mom got me a mcnugget thing and full cålorie coke. I know she wants me to gain wěįght bc I'm technically under (17.9 bmi) and I love her for it because shes been worried about me. why does everyone have to be such good people?
and fries. I ate fries. I'm such an idiot. I don't know what to do because like I love my family and my bff but they give me sm food and i don't want to drift apart from them. and also bc my mom cooks a lot right and my little brother is super picky (love him) and he's like "this is disgusting" basically every night at supper (by the way its not cause he's spoiled he's just 6 and has autism but he is a good kid lol) and one time my mom was crying because he wouldn't eat anything, so anyways I try to eat a lot to show her how much I appreciate her cooking because in my family that's like our form of affection. and I don't want her to think I'm being ungrateful or that it's bad.
SORRY IM RAMBLING
but I just need to st4rve. like its not that hard erika stop being a little glutton
I think I'm a little smaller now than like a few months ago but who knows, because the only scale in my house is in my mom's room and she'd be suspicious if she saw me, also I have like 6 siblings in my house rn so I'm never in the house alone.
I'm sorry this was so long, if you got this far ily, and yall need to be more social like don't be afraid to dm me (if you're under 18) I have a lot of socials too. but yeah that's it
P.S. I love my family I don't mean to be rude. I'm just an idiot 🦒

For the people who've followed me for my most recent art post thank you so much!!! It makes me very happy. I'm not a full time furry myself but I love drawing them.
For any of you curious about the condition I mentioned I can talk more about it.
McCune-Albright Syndrome is a rare genetic disorder that occurs from a random mutation in approx 1 in 1000000 people. Some of its biggest symptoms are skeletal defects and endocrine disorders. I have incorrectly formed bones in my hands (both hands have stunted bones and missing knuckles), skull (severe crossbite that took half a decade of intense corrective measures and permanent retainers to align), and possibly legs (I walk with a limp). This is because MAS can cause scar tissue to form inside bones (fibrous displasia). I didn't know that the bone-deep burning in my arms and legs when I grew up was abnormal, they said I just had growing pains.
I'm also hypermobile and can bend my fingers and knees at weird angles but this means I can near-dislocate my knees if I'm not careful.
On the endocrine side, PCOS is a comorbidity of MAS. I also have an insulin resistance. My metabolism is shit basically and combined with my naturally larger stature I get called obese quite a bit when I'm not. I've also been denied surgery coverage based on my BMI when the weight they require would kill me.
It sucks, but having a diagnosis helps. It means people can't say I'm "just not used to standing because [I] sit in a computer chair all day" when I feel like there's glass in my hip joints.

Today was a really nice day. It was full of activities. And my feet hurt and I'm really glad I'm in bed now.
I slept alright last night. But when I woke up at 8 I did not want to get up. I did not want to do anything. I heard James in the kitchen mixing their cookies. I just laid quietly and it was good.
I slowly would wake up and felt pretty good when I did. I checked my email and saw some from the title company so I texted James to come ask them what we needed to do. They came and told me that they were filling out the forms and I would have to do some parts once I was up. Sounds good. I went and got dressed.
There was not much I needed to fill out. Is this your first home? Address, etc etc. It is very exciting process but it is an incredible amount of forms and pieces of paperwork and all that kind of thing.
We had a lot of tasks to do today. No rush but the plan was to leave at 10. I would finish getting ready and James made me an egg salad toasted sandwich. And I worked on my knitting. I'm very close to being finished that. But the work continues.
We left here and headed to Hampden today go to the bank to make a wire transfer for the deposit. This was scary because while we have been working at this for a little while now (realistically I know our search has been very short compared to some people's journey) but this is the first time we have actually paid any money. And neither of us have ever sent a word transfer before so it was scary!! But the man who helped us was so lovely.
He is also working towards buying a (much more expensive) house and him, and the other two people who worked there congratulated us when we were finished.
We did have to call the title company to confirm the details and James got a money order and a word transfer confused and got a little flustered but we got it all sorted and it honestly didn't take long.
I had an appointment with away at 11. But we still had time to go to the wine source and pick out fancy snacks. Originally we were getting them for each other. Then we decided we would get them for ourselves and just give them to each other. We each got a few things and we will wrap them up for each other. It was silly but it was also just nice being with my husband and buying fancy snacks.
We went to awah and it was really nice to see everyone. They had a gift for me: a candle, some cookies, and a gift card for Amazon. So sweet. We chatted about my class and what's up and the possible house and all the excitement. On top of it being the week before Christmas! Wild. A house for Christmas???
While we were out the air quality test was happening at the house. And we confirmed the home inspection tomorrow. Which means we get to go see the house. I am going to bring a tape measure so I can have a better idea of the layout and not just from memory. I will also try to get pictures and videos.
We left there and decided to go to Pepe's for lunch. You know?? Pepe's?? Fun for the whole family??? This means nothing but me and James were laughing stupidly hard about this bit and I don't want to forget how much we were laughing and having fun.
We enjoyed our lunch at the diner. And then headed home. I texted with my dad about money and saving and the budget I came up with. We will actually have some move wiggle room in our budget which is pretty sweet.
I did a lot of knitting and sewing. James wrapped gifts. It was a really nice afternoon.
I would knit and sew until 5. And at 5 I got dressed in my Kristian the American girl doll outfit. Did my hair. Got all cute.
And then it was time to go to the BMI party!
And it was such a lovely party. I had so much fun talking to everyone and telling stories. Margaret caught us in the car before we left and she grabbed a ride with us there (her husband would come later and took her home). And I just had so much fun catching up and telling stories. Me, Gaby, her friend and Adam were screaming about conspiracy theories and I got to introduce them to the concept of the hollow earth which is one of my favorite. It is legit the silliest one.
Dinner and talking was fun. There were s'mores but the little fires they had were causing so much smoke that we were very afraid the sprinklers were going to go off. Had to open all the garage doors. But I was just running around and having a great time.
I loved seeing Meril and we took pictures. Everyone thought my phone clicked was so cool and a few people borrowed it. And I promised to get a link so other people can buy their own because. I even showed Stanley's wife on her phone so they could do it themselves. She would return it when they were done and I promised James would help Stanley get one too.
The voting for best desserts was fun and the raffles were really exciting. Jessica's daughter, Sofia, was able to be awake for the party this year (she was very new last year) and we became best friends. We were holding hands and jumping. Me, her, her dad, and Jessica all held hands and jumped a whole bunch and it was very silly. I held her for a little and we spun and we were very best friends now obviously. Jessica kept saying how much she liked me and I'm like. Incredible. I love little baby Sofia.
After lots more pictures and getting to tell people about the house, James was helping to clean up and then we were heading out. Almost last ones out.
I drove us home because James had a few beers. We listened to music to loud and danced in the car and it was very silly and very fun. And when we got back here I put on another song and we danced at each other. The mood was just. Fantastic.
I grabbed a shower. Sweetp bit me on the back of my leg??? Ouch! But now we are all just cuddled up in bed. And I am ready to sleep.
I don't have to drive out to camp tomorrow. We are volunteering to wrap gifts for the Y's angel tree. And then it is time to go to the home inspection!! Ah!
I really hope it goes well. There are some things that may be wrong that are fixable but the things I don't know like the electrical or the plumbing or the roof are the concerns for me. I did get a price for home insurance and because the house has a flat roof there might be a concern about insuring it. So I went on a long search about what we would do if it needs fixing. I just want to make sure we can handle whatever it is. I will not get us in a place we can't survive. And right now we have a budget for fixes but they have to be within reason. But I know a lot and I trust myself to make the right call. Can't be wishy washy on this one.
I am going to go to sleep now. I hope you all sleep great and having a good night. Until next time!!

Natural Remedies That May Help You Reduce Belly Fat and Lose Weight.
There are many natural remedies that may help you reduce belly fat and lose weight. However, you should also consult your doctor before trying any of them, as they may have side effects or interact with medications. Here are some of the tips that I found from various sources:
Drink lemon juice with warm water every morning on an empty stomach. This may help detoxify your body and boost your metabolism. You can also add some black pepper powder and honey to enhance the fat-burning effect.
2. Eat almonds regularly. They are rich in protein, fiber, vitamin E and healthy fats that may help you feel full, build lean muscle and lower your body mass index (BMI).
3. Drink green tea at least 3-4 times a day. Green tea contains antioxidants and catechins that may increase your energy expenditure and fat oxidation.
4. Include more garlic in your diet. Garlic has anti-obesity properties and may help suppress appetite, regulate blood sugar levels and reduce inflammation.
5. Eat more soluble fiber from fruits, vegetables, legumes, oats and barley. Soluble fiber absorbs water and forms a gel that slows down food digestion and absorption. This may help you reduce belly fat by making you feel satiated and lowering your calorie intake.
6. Avoid trans fats that are found in some margarines, spreads and packaged foods. Trans fats may increase inflammation, insulin resistance and abdominal fat accumulation.
7. Do aerobic exercises like walking, cycling, running, swimming or playing badminton for at least 30 minutes a day. Aerobic exercises may help you burn calories and improve your cardiovascular health.
8. Lift weights or do resistance training at least twice a week. Lifting weights may help you build muscle mass, which in turn may increase your metabolic rate and fat burning.
I hope these tips are helpful for you. Remember to drink plenty of water, get enough sleep and manage your stress levels as well.

Hasn't BMI been proven to be an inaccurate form of measurement though?
It seems extremely iffy that they're using that as a prerequisite
IDK bud, I just know the booklet they gave me says this:
A high body mass index (BMI) may have significant consequences on your health and your quality of life. If you suffer from severe obesity (BMI ≥35) increased monitoring will be required at all stages of your surgical procedure. In patients with a high BMI, there is a decrease in healing potential as well as in satisfaction with surgical results. Furthermore, a BMI over 35 increases the risk of surgical complications. If this is your case, additional test results will be required in order to ensure a safe surgical procedure. Your involvement is essential to the overall success of your surgery. For medical reasons, if your BMI is 40 and over, it will not be possible to undergo your surgery.
But my mother had a double mastectomy due to cancer and her BMI was just as bad as mine currently is, and she had no complications?
Everyone I've talked to says the clinic is very strict about it. So whether it's bullshit or not, I definitely feel strong-armed into attempting weight loss again. And yeah, I've shed many tears over how impossible feeling it is already. Whoever said exercise is good for mental health is full of it because all it has ever done for me is make me feel awful both physically and mentally.

YEARLY EXAMINATION REPORT
September 25, 20XX
=============================================
SUBJECT INFO
Codename: 00
Name [Updated]: Nightmare
Sex: Male
Age: 506 (Estimation)
Species: Corrupt
Height: 5’7
Weight: 35
Room: C1
SUBJECT NOTES
Last updated: 18/09/20XX
———————
As of September 18th, all personnel are forbidden from interacting with 00 unless said interaction was approved by the Doctor in chief, the medical team and a representative from the government beforehand. Anyone trespassing that rule would be accused of treason level 5 and will be punished by torture and death.
Additionally, introducing a weapon or any lethal substance in his room will be seen as an attempt to harm 00 and will be punished by death.
If 00 were to kill anybody, the death will be covered as an accident under life threatening circumstances. Any personnel attempting to use 01 as a weapon will be harshly punished.
———————
The assumption of 00’s mutism has been proven false.
He is able of communication but certain conditions must be met before he can start a proper talk. As of now, only one person from the staff was able to talk to him and the criteria needed to communicate have yet to be discovered.
00 may be related to 01. The veracity of that information is to be determined.
Unlike 01, 00 has always been hostile and wary of mankind ever since the beginning and lashes out easily when an individual he deems as a threat approaches him or 01. As aggressive as he is, he has not yet killed anyone who didn’t deserve it. He seems to hold back against humans, many seem to think it is thanks to 01’s influence that none of the staff, save for the instigator of the accident, was killed.
00’s intelligence is one that the world has not yet seen. Out of all creatures protected by the Celestial Conservation Division, 00 may be the smartest one of the bunch.
His soul is shaped after a black apple, characteristic of corrupts. He is the counterpart of 01.
He mostly stays in his passive form but turns without hesitation when danger arises. When this happens, his right eye is covered by a goop veil that behaves like acid while the left one changes from a violet color to a cold turquoise color. Tendrils also appear from his back, it is plausible that we have not yet seen his full potential as we know that corrupts can create up to four tendrils when he was only seen with two of them.
He can sense when the other is in danger or in pain, which makes him go berserk when 01’s pain reaches a certain level. Whether the 01 can do this as well or not is still to be determined.
He has always been protective of 01 but that protectiveness only amplified after the accident.
How corrupts are produced is still unknown.

=============================================
PHYSICAL RESULTS
BMI: 18.5
HR: 90
S/P: None
TMP: 96.9
Eyes: Normal
Ears: Normal
Teeth: Normal
Soul: Altered
Magic: Altered
Blood: Normal
Vocal chords: Normal
Pain tolerance (01-10): 07
———————
His soul has been in a sort of melting state ever since the accident. It doesn’t seem to be utterly dangerous since his magic amplified instead of weakening but it may still be wise to keep an eye on his stats. As for his pain tolerance, it has increased by two stages without any real reason.
01’s pain tolerance has decreased by two stages, it is to be determined whether those two phenomenons are related or not.
———————
PHYSICAL RESULTS (Defence/Offence)
HR: 155
Reaction Time (ms): 1
Strength (maximum potential): 88%
Restoration Magic (MP): 89%
Speed (km/h): 36
Shield resistance (MP): 34%
Shield duration (min): 2
Stamina (MP): 90%
Negativity: 100%
Sensitivity (01-10): 05
Pain Tolerance (01-10): 08
Pain Infusion (01-10): 10
Control (01-10): 10
———————
It’s the first time that his negativity stat has reached 100%. Due to the nature of his power, his shield’s stats are lower than the others but he is able to compensate that with the perfect control he has over his power.
With stats like those, it is no wonder that Doctor Hate was unrecognisable when we retrieved what was left of his corpse.
However, I did note the presence of misplaced laughter during the examination. It doesn’t quite point to a problem per se but vigilance is still strongly advised.
00 will be taken to the medical wing as fast as possible for consultation.

As expected, 00 has excelled in every subject but has failed the emotional control test. Every request I’ve submitted for 00 to bypass the Emotional Response Test, the Physical Control Under Pressure Test and the Emotional Control Test have been denied.
I do really think it would be better for 00’s well-being to stop being administered these tests. Now if only you would try to consider the consequences these sort of tests have on them instead of only caring about your own needs, that would be a great beginning.

“Dear Doctor,
Please know that you are not in a suitable place to tell us what we should do or not do. The only thing we are asking from you is to keep 00 alive, which, mind you, is not a difficult task to accomplish. In future reports, refrain from making that type of inappropriate comment.”

🖤Hey, welcome to my RP blog for Ryuka! This character is my OC for Alice in Borderland. I've been writing a fic with her, but this blog is specifically for RP interaction. I accept interactions/prompts through ask.🖤
A few rules:
Canon-typical violence is allowed. But please do not god-mod.
Mun is NOT muse, please do not confuse the two! When OOC, I will indicate it with parentheses.
Respect mun's personal life. Mun is barely divorced and trying to sort life out as a single mom to a baby born in '22 of October, so very much still needs me when I'm not at work. (Job searching since I've moved)
Family comes first for mun, work second, and then hobbies such as fic writing and RP.
Making a pass at mun at any time is unacceptable; I have had it happen before, but will be quick to shut it down. If we are RPing and this happens, the RP will also be stopped if my boundaries aren't respected. We can be friends, mun just isn't looking for more than that!
Minors DNI! This blog, as with my main blog, is 18+ only. Mun is 29 going on 30 this year, and I will not budge on this rule.
Smut is not a topic I particularly wish to delve into. Romance is fine, but Muse (Ryuka) only has romantic interest in Chishiya, and thus, I consider her to be demisexual. Other writing will be platonic. Again, please don't cross Mun and Muse when it comes to romantic interactions.
Have fun!!
Rules being covered, here's Muse's bio!
Ryuka Takane (she didn't originally have a last name; Takane is her last name)
-----------------------
Age: 24
Height: 5'3"
Weight: 115 lbs (based upon BMI research)
Hair color: Chestnut brown with crimson streaks
Hair length: Falls to her upper thighs, with sideswept bangs. Eventually cut just above her collarbone (events leading to this may differ from fic)
Skin color: Pale, but not devoid of melatonin.
Eye color: Golden hazel
Profession before the Borderland: Customer Service Representative in a music store; specialized in the guitar section, particularly bass.
Nationality: Japanese-Korean-American (Mother is full blooded Japanese, father is Korean-American)
Personality:
Ryuka Takane is typically soft spoken and keeps to herself, outside of her job. Though ready and willing to help customers, when it comes to social interaction outside of work, she prefers to keep to herself. She has very few friends because of this, but once attached to someone, whether in friendship or otherwise, she will defend them unless they give her reason not to.
Ryuka has a hot temper hidden behind her sweet, quiet demeanor. It's both easy to fluster her, and to make her tick. She's seen herself as an outcast since childhood, and her lack of social interaction as a result has made it difficult for her to manage her emotions at a base level. Witnessing a divorce as a young teen caused some hang ups with romantic viewpoints, and resulted in a terribly failed relationship at 17 years of age, after which she swore not to get attached to anyone again (and hasn't). One may describe her as being "tsundere," if they get to be around her for long enough.
Ryuka has a moderate level of intelligence, often surprising others around her at how perceptive she can be, though her skills are best suited to pattern recognition and reading facial queues. She isn't a genius by any means, but she makes an effort to let her intelligence be known if slighted.
Attire:
Ryuka is typically seen wearing three colors--black, violet, and lime green. She cycles through loose fitting hoodies and skinny jeans, to regular form fitting t-shirts and tank tops with skinny jeans. Combat boots are her preferred shoe. Most of the hoodies she's had typically have cat ears sewn onto the hood of them. She likes to wear wrist bands as well, and may occasionally be seen wearing a choker. Save for her ears, she has no other piercings.
Hobbies: Singing (when alone), dancing (again, when alone), playing bass guitar.
Likes: Music, alone time, cherry blossoms, k and j-pop, j-metal and American metal
Dislikes: Excessive physical activity (though she has excellent stamina and reactionary skills), being lied to, extroverts, being treated as if she's stupid.
Fun fact: Ryuka can absolutely hold her own in a fight if she needs to. That isn't to say that she doesn't slip up at times, getting herself hurt if she grows overconfident in her ability to take someone down, but most would be surprised at how tough this tiny woman is.

Bnha scenario;
Pro hero Deku destroys his right arm, it's impossible to properly heal the bones; the arm must be amputated.
1st we discuss OFA;
To my understanding of a has a certain # I'm specifications the holder must adhere to to wield it properly. Right now we're speaking body mass, I believe the holder requires a certain amount of muscle to utilize 100%; we can think of UA as a reference point - when he only tried to use it in one part of his body he destroyed it, so the less Mass he has the harder it is to wield properly without causing a strain, so removing a limb would cause a strain on his body, that would accumulate over time.
MY THEORY; the loss of his arm = decrease BMI # = < 100% OFA usage. To make up for that loss, he would need to replace the Lost BMI throughout the REST of his body & use a prosthetic for the missing arm OR regrow the arm & therefore recover the lost BMI & continue to use OFA in that arm.
I KNOW I SOUND LIKE MIDORIYA RIGHT NOW, BUT STAY WITH ME HERE.
2nd, discuss options;
–In a world full of quirks; izuku Midoriya has options!
fabricated prosthetic; can emulate his natural strength and be a support item, he could have jackhammer like punches that could emulate OFA -since he couldn't utilize it in the prosthetic-; DRAWBACK- it cannot use OFA, destructible, require an engineer for routine updates / enhancements, replacement & maintenance.
Specialized quirk doctors 'create' an arm from his EXISTING body (ie skin, muscle etc) that would result in a FULLY FUNCTIONING ARM that IS PART of him, that being said; it being covered in his own biologic material would allow OFA just a work properly in that arm.
Option 2 explained a little more in detail;
QD #1 would form the adamantium skeleton ~arm~ - reference wolverine - to replace what was lost, starting the growth from the existing bone of his ~im thinking humerus, because the damage of his upper arm was pretty bad previously~ where it was amputated, concluding at the phalanges ~fingers~ *Cannot replace EXISTING bone w/ adamantium only add on amputated bone*
QD #2 would use energy from their surroundings (not living creatures) to create -using Izu's DNA- the fundamental properties 'flesh wise' that allow him to function, ie tendons, ligaments, muscle, nerves.. etc. OVER the adamantium skeleton.
Quirk holder #3 what demagnetize the arm so he couldn't be magnetized in a situation with a villain that had the magnet quirk.
The specialized team world recreate his arm from x-rays, leaving out the damage obtained at UA -think of Photoshop, no disfigured bones & no scars ~unless he asked to keep the scars-
The surgery would take about 12 hours due to the quirks involved.
-5/13/22- started with the whole dilemma, my brain went on medoria and by this point -5/14/22- now that I've written it down it makes more sense.
3rd Izu's choice;
He would choose "whatever causes less strain on others" because he is a SELF-SACRIFICING little shit!
A) 12 hours surgery where the result equals him still being able to use OFA with minimal PT.
B)The making of a prosthetic, hiring of an engineer to fix/replace his damaged/broken arm (in my mind I see Ed being yelled at by winery…though izuku being self- sacrificing would require maintenance weekly) and this would cause a mental strain on him and he would also feel indebted to them.
So in conclusion to my MIDORIYA IZUKU rant…the result of him losing an arm would equal the growth of a new one…
Though my next question would be…would he want the scars back or would he just cover the arm and tattoos as a way to distract himself from the former scars?
<Feel free to write a fanfiction, if you do let me know cuz I would love to read it>

The Relationship Between Coffee and Appetite Suppression
Tumblr media
Coffee is one of the world's most beloved beverages, cherished for its rich aroma and invigorating effects. Beyond its role as a morning pick-me-up, coffee has been associated with various health benefits, including the potential to suppress appetite. In this article, we'll explore the fascinating connection between coffee and appetite suppression, as well as how it can be beneficial for weight loss. Additionally, we will delve into health supplements that incorporate coffee as an ingredient and discuss their effectiveness in aiding weight loss.
Understanding Coffee's Impact on Appetite
Coffee is more than just a delightful beverage; it contains several compounds that can affect the body. One of the most notable compounds is caffeine, a natural stimulant. Caffeine is well-known for its ability to increase alertness, but it also plays a role in appetite suppression. When consumed, caffeine can interact with the central nervous system, leading to a decrease in feelings of hunger.
The Role of Caffeine in Appetite Suppression
Caffeine affects the body in several ways that contribute to appetite suppression. One of its primary mechanisms is the stimulation of thermogenesis and fat oxidation, which can lead to a temporary reduction in appetite. Moreover, caffeine has been shown to increase the levels of certain hormones, such as peptide YY (PYY) and glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1), both of which are associated with feelings of fullness and reduced appetite. These effects combined make caffeine a promising tool for those looking to manage their weight.
Coffee and Weight Loss
The relationship between coffee and weight loss has been a topic of interest for researchers. Several studies have examined the effects of caffeine on metabolism and appetite, with many indicating that coffee consumption can support weight loss efforts. A study published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition found that caffeine intake was associated with a significant reduction in weight, BMI, and waist circumference. This suggests that incorporating coffee into a weight loss plan may yield positive results.
Health Supplements with Coffee for Weight Loss
Recognizing the potential benefits of coffee in weight management, many health supplements now include coffee as a key ingredient. These supplements are designed to enhance weight loss by leveraging the appetite-suppressing and metabolism-boosting properties of coffee. However, it's essential to choose supplements from reputable brands and to use them as part of a balanced diet and healthy lifestyle.
How Health Supplements Work?
Health supplements that include coffee typically contain a concentrated form of caffeine, along with other ingredients that may further enhance its effects. These supplements work by increasing energy expenditure, reducing appetite, and boosting metabolism, all of which can contribute to weight loss. However, it's essential to remember that supplements are not magic pills and should be used in conjunction with a healthy diet and regular exercise.
Effectiveness of Coffee-based Supplements
Several studies have investigated the effectiveness of coffee-based supplements for weight loss. One study, published in the Journal of Functional Foods, found that participants who took a coffee-based supplement experienced a greater reduction in body weight, BMI, and waist circumference compared to those who did not take the supplement. These findings suggest that coffee-based supplements can be an effective tool for supporting weight loss efforts.
Incorporating Coffee into Your Weight Loss Plan
If you're looking to leverage the appetite-suppressing properties of coffee for weight loss, here are some tips on how to incorporate it into your daily routine:
1. Replace high-calorie beverages: Swap sugary drinks for black coffee or coffee with a splash of milk. This can help reduce your overall calorie intake.
2. Drink coffee before meals: Consuming a cup of coffee before a meal can help curb your appetite and prevent overeating.
3. Avoid adding too much sugar or cream: While a little sugar or cream is fine, adding too much can turn a low-calorie beverage into a high-calorie one. Opt for natural sweeteners like stevia if you need to add sweetness.
4. Stay hydrated: Remember to drink plenty of water throughout the day, especially if you're increasing your coffee intake. Dehydration can sometimes be mistaken for hunger.
5. Choose the right supplement: If you're considering a coffee-based supplement, do your research and select one from a reputable brand. Always follow the recommended dosage and consult with a healthcare professional if you have any concerns.
Conclusion:
Coffee's ability to suppress appetite has made it a popular choice for those looking to manage their weight. The caffeine in coffee can boost metabolism, increase fat oxidation, and reduce feelings of hunger, making it a valuable tool for weight loss. Additionally, health supplements that include coffee as an ingredient can further enhance these effects. By incorporating coffee into your weight loss plan, you can take advantage of its benefits and move closer to your health and fitness goals. Remember, though, that while coffee can be a helpful addition to your routine, it's essential to combine it with a balanced diet and regular exercise for the best results.
