Read a little of a fanfic last night where Etho worked at a mall & I was aghast at what store they had him working at (won’t say where ‘cause the point of this post isn’t to put the author on blast) & now I’m thinking of a Traffic smp AU where folks work at the same mall & I just…
- Etho, Tango, & Mumbo are all geniuses at the Apple Store. Impulse is a genius admin.*
- Joel, perpetual former emo boy, works at Hot Topic. He’s probably like. A key holder or assistant manager or something.
- Scar also works at Hot Topic. Because he needed a job desperately & Grian convinced Joel to get him one at his store. So now he’s the location’s token normal guy. But hey, they carry a lot of Disney stuff now, so he’s not too upset about it.
- Lizzie & Gem work at Lush. They always smell amazing & are always covered in glitter.
- Pearl works at Aveda. She also always smells amazing, but is not covered in glitter.
- Grian & Martyn work at Game Stop. Grian is very begrudging about this, putting in minimal effort unless something specific piques his interest, while Martyn will happily chat with any customer about pretty much any game.
- Jimmy works at like. Abercrombie & Fitch or Hollister. (He knows nothing about fashion & very much got the job for being tall & handsome. Like he literally was walking past the store & they offered him a job.)
- Scott is the manager at Express/Express Men. He does know a good bit about fashion & especially is good at picking out clothes that accentuate people’s best features.
- Cleo manages the Starbucks inside the Barnes & Noble.
- Ren works at a table top game store as assistant manager & runs in store ttrpg sessions for people to try out different systems. (He runs these sessions off the clock; his friends are appalled by this.)
- Bdubs is assistant manager in charge of visuals at Pottery Barn.
- BigB manages the Cinnabon. (Currently. He’s actually worked almost everywhere in the food court & knows the dirt on every single one.)
- Skizz is a full timer at a cell phone provider kiosk. He’s been employee of the month at least six times in the last year, ‘cause he’s so friggen genuinely friend that it’s really hard to ignore him while walking past. You just have to stop to say hi because otherwise it’d be rude & you’d actually feel bad about it.
* genius admin is the person who goes through paperwork & payment with you on return of repaired items. Other duties include: maintaining the store’s repair database, all part inventory handling, managing the repair queue, & generally being in charge of the repair room.

coming back out of the well with some doc design things! the head shape was heavily inspired by @/l7xi13jhf 's doc design

not sure if i took the goat thing too far or not far enough, but id love to make a design that allows for more expression. also took the opportunity to practice some coloring, hence the one very rendered bit
wanted to see how it would work moving a bit. no pants though ://
decided to go with the furry variation of doc (lol. lmao, even) because i really enjoy how it works and other people’s takes on it. gave him dog-like teeth just to add to the hybrid factor and because i though it would go better than goat teeth. the drones are my headcanon in-world integration of his use of free cam
+ also minimized exposed wiring! some are present in joints and such but i feel exposed wires are the last thing you want when dealing with game breaking machinery

Never thought I'd see the day I'm worrying over people peaking over my shoulder to see what I'm looking at on my phone while I look through a block game tag.
Going through the QSMP tag in public is like a landmine. On one hand, people around you might see you looking at cute art of eggs and happy families. On the other hand, they might see you looking at men in suggestive bunny costumes, maid dresses, skimpy bikinies, and just literally having their tits out. People with no context will never believe that you're looking at reimagined blockmen. No one.

I think Quackity is really successful at making blockmen with amazing character development. He has absolutely mastered the art of making a morally grey character and forcing them to work through the most difficult times. We've seen it in CQuackity, we've seen it in KQuackity, and now with Q²uackity.
And that's what ultimately captures the attention of so many. Quackity (the character) is never perfect, he always makes the dumbest mistakes (like any of us do) and seeing him change, realise his wrongs and always try to improve shows us his growth as a person.

Speaking of? I love the ranchers and it’s not because the sole reason I got into ships which is usually right after the media when my wall gets full of art and fics and it’s because the fandom I usually start to ship. And not because I thought they were cute.
Hell honestly I barely knew Tango before Double Life. Like I knew who he was but literally never watched his content. I honestly was late on the bandwagon on both flower husbands (primarily because it seemed like everyone I knew shipped them and it was too much at the time and once I did ship them they decided that was end of offical content in empires 1) and Ranchers. (I do fancy me some flower husbands but at it’s height I was the person that refused to ship it because it was popular and everywhere lol)
The fans of ranchers were like slightly different in the way that it was like a less a tidal wave of content I saw and more them gushing how adorable they are. I Remeber literally my wall being full of like wishes and prayers for them to win (and we all know how that went.)
Anyways I started to watch them both. I never and I mean never rewatched the same two videos from both channels but I did with the ranchers. I never got into the MCYT shipping sphere more than liking art or maybe reading some fics my friends sent me. Like I said during 3rd life despite watching the flower husbands I was just lukewarm. It could be that I just hopped from dsmp and was a voice in techno chat which was like werid with shipping idk. I knew there was a solid shipping community ESSPECIALLY in dsmp and hermit fans.
I think what caught my eye was because how literally they never even knew each other that well but once they were forced to be soulmates it’s was so genuine and natural? Like it had a sort of easy going that I could dive into without knowing any of their history or inside jokes as a newbie with eyes that only knew Jimmy.
I knew Jimmy and his fanon by heart. So that’s why I was primarily interested in his pov. And Jimmy is bullied (affectionately) and that is well known by his fanbase. And how tango interacted with him was the complete opposite.
They legit didn’t know Jack about each other so both of them fell into their base selves and just decided to be each other hype men. And I find that beautiful and no wonder why this pairing held me by my neck. I AM always weak for pairings like this. And always go for chemistry because I’m ace as heck.
Soon I became another Rancher Fan praying and wishing for their win somehow. I Remember ranting to friends how this pairing could finally beat the canary curse. And I remember when they eventually didn’t.
I never ever felt so strongly about silly Homoromantic esque blockmen. And I Remeber how the fandom of the ranchers all collectively went into what is best called a media depression. But even after like a week all the creatives decided NO and dropped amazing fics and art. That whole week of buff Jimmy art LMFAO.
And how excited everyone was about the reunion (still can’t believe the whole literal hearts eyes in Tango POV. The mad lad my beloved)
And yeah that’s why I think they will always be my ship in MCYT and why I adore it in all its forms. Team Rancher was just awesome at its height. And I think I know why everyone is or was into flower husbands at the ship height if this gives me any hints.
