I like to think that Vulcans who come to understand that Humans just can’t try to process emotions the same way as them, it’s just healthiest to let it out in harmless ways, decide that venting and stuff should be taken just as seriously as Vulcan’s meditation time, and will encourage the Humans around them to complain about what’s upsetting them

#star trek#Vulcans#Humans#not based on a specific thing#but I used to know this annoying couple that were ‘family friends’#who would show up to potluck dinners and the like and would either bring nothing or bring something really just. out of left field?#like a bag of frozen chicken to a bbq#and then proceed to make sure they are first even if it was stated to let kids go first#would take HUGE amounts before anyone else got a chance to get a plate#and then make off with the leftovers again even if they were already claimed for#and it wasn’t a food insecurity thing trust me I would never speak bad about a person getting food if that was even a remote chance#the adults who raised us knew them really well and we’d been to their house a ton of times#they were just dicks#and yeah. they’d occasionally insult the food. while eating the MAJORITY of it.#it was so weird at their home they would go out of their way to get the healthiest options possible#you know the really bland tasteless expensive stuff that apparently was healthier#but then if they were visiting our house they would. eat all our unhealthy snacks.#that always pissed me off so much as a kid because we actually had a food insecurity thing going on#and also a variety of other reasons that are a bit too depressing to bring up on this post#but anyways we’d hardly ever get to have nice snacks#and this couple would just take them all??? even after we’d tell them repeatedly that it was ours and those snacks weren’t gonna be#replaced#hated that couple#if you’re wondering why they were ‘family friends’ it’s because the couple who raised us#(it feels weird to type it out like that but apparently legal guardians doesn’t fit since they never finished petitioning 💀)#liked having them around because it made them look like ‘such great Christian’s’ being nice to the people#that no one else wanted to be friends with#I always thought that was a really weird and fucked up reason to be friends with someone#this got long sorry 😭

Okay seriously. Where are my autistic people at who HATE HATE HATE bland food, used to refuse to eat if something DIDN’T have vegetables in it, cannot comprehend for the life of them WHY the HELL other autistic people seem to prefer bland food and white bread and such when the texture of wonderbread makes them want to DIE, and start internally smashing things at the thought of food NOT being marinated, seasoned, spiced to perfection. Where are my autistic people who live for the carmelization on meats/veggies. Who would go over to friends’ houses and say they weren’t hungry when really your friends just couldn’t cook for shit and you’d rather go hungry than put something BLAND into their mouth. Ew. Ew!!!!!

My tolerance for hot peppers is fairly low, but when it comes to mustard I have yet to find one that's strong enough. I've heard they have spicier mustard in the UK, but if there's anything similar in Canadian grocery stores I haven't seen it yet.
Currently working through a jar that says "extra hot", but it's even less hot than the horseradish mustard I got before that. 4th in a line of disappointing jars in my mustard quest.
If I saw a jar labelled "Violent Mustard Attack" I would happily buy it.

Why was there never a Hotel California episode why was there not an episode about a hotel in the middle of nowhere that looks pretty normal at first glance but the food is strangely bland because they don't use salt, and some of the other guests have no idea what year it is, and the staff are strangely insistent that they can't leave right now, and when they look closer all the people there are ghosts that aren't aware they're dead, and the hotel is cursed, and they're trapped in there

People say that northern food is bland when in reality, northern food done poorly is bland.
Northern food relies a lot on the flavor of the ingredients instead of spices to get its flavor. Just a hint of seasoning, like salt and pepper. The point of it is to let the ingredients stand out. If it's not cooked to respect the natural flavor, it's going to taste bad.
So no, we don't cover or laden or dishes with spices. It stems from the fact that the north doesn't provide a great environment for spices. But we found how to make our food taste good without it.
Case in point:
I made a clam chowder earlier this year with a recipe that was more orientated for my state. Salt and pepper were the only seasonings- the flavor came from the clam juice and bacon. It was good.
I've made Dublin coddle several times, which is an Irish dish. Salt and pepper are the main seasonings. It gets its flavor from the sausage and bacon, and the vegetables. It makes a delicious gravy to mop up with the right kind of bread.
Northern food isn't bland. It needs to be cooked right.

Ok for y'all who want a real answer let's do some research TOGETHER.
Gaz is very quick on his feet as in his wiki for MW he completed his training course in 19 seconds! He's also very chill and extremely funny based off the dialogue in MW2 with lazwell and price, he's very dedicated and does research. He's a smart cookie 😊 he got along with Alejandro and Rudy so I say he's very much an extrovert/ people guy since everyone he's met LOVES HIM. So I'd say he's a fan of group meals, loves eating with about anyone he knows especially soap and price since he's gotten along with them for awhile. He's also feisty so he also probably eats quickly too as the military is always on the move so that's kinda obvious. For favorite foods I've done some research
Gaz was born and raised in London England and his parents are of Ghanaian decent wow! So doing some research on the foods I tried to find as home made as possible cause I'm sure England doesn't have a lot of foods from that culture so ive decided his favorite food is drum roll please!
Boiled yam or plantain with Kontomire stew! It looks soo good oh my god- with koobi fish and smoked macarel since London is literally an island their fish varatey is up there! So most of the ingredients are easy finds or can be grown to be made. Which makes an easy yet cultural home made dish that I think suits him very well with his high metabolism.

i tried a yellow dragonfruit for the first time and ppl were not playing when they said the yellow ones were so much sweeter than the pink ones... i thought how much better could it be... it Literally tastes like an entirely diff fruit 😭😭 it's so much sweeter!!
