Something that kills me is that there’s no way in hell that Raph’s debilitating separation anxiety isn’t infinitely worse after the movie. The trauma of being Krangified like that, all alone, would probably regress him so hard.

Not to mention his worries of getting “weird” would likely get mixed up with his experience while Krangified - aka, he loses full awareness, and when he’s brought “back” it’s to the understanding that he attacked his own family (of course not to his own fault at all, but how much of that does he believe?)

The fear of being alone would take on another layer and become a fear of himself.

Catching up with Choujin X and I'm kind of obsessed with Tokio's post-timeskip character design. I love that his hair's gotten shaggier but he's kept the goofy emo bangs. I love how absurdly tall and lanky he's gotten. Being so tall gives him an excuse to be awkwardly hunched all the time, which really suits his character. Kid doesn't know what to do with all that height.

Also, CX continues to feel like the protagonist of this story "should" have been Azuma, and Tokio should have been his weird codependent sidekick who may or may not eventually become a villain. It's just that somehow Tokio has become the main character of the world instead, and neither Tokio nor Azuma knows how to deal with it. And this design suits that very well.

This is a boy who was made to awkwardly loom, and loom he is.

When I got to know more about Mandalorian Wars and story of Darth Revan, it heavily reminded me of Russian Invasion that started in 2014 and escalated in 2022. When thousands of people were suffering, cities ruined and lives destroyed, and yet nobody did something. The whole world was just starring, saying that they can't do anything. And so did Jedi Order - those who called themselves "guardians of peace". When Outer Rim was burning, when Mandalorians killed thousands just for fun, in search for "worthy opponent", they preferred to sit in silence.

I love story of Darth Revan. Maybe not only because I'm in love with KOTOR itself, but also because I can relate to her in some way. I can see many reasons why she would turn to Dark Side and why she would be dissapointed by Jedi Order. Because when I see people, who are calling for "peace" and "pacifism", I am disgusted by them. They have a privilege of saying such things because they never heard stories of their grand-grandfathers family brutally murdered because of their nationality. They have a family home, that was never burned to ground because of their nationality. They never fled their home early in the morning, leaving their whole life behind, because some of some deranged imperialistic country. They never saw photos of young girls tortured, brutally killed or buried alive and thought "that could've been me".

For every Ukrainian, peace is a lie. And a privilege we never truly had. But we still will fight for it and we will win. Thanks for reading this whole thing. Stay safe and слава Україні.

BART ALLEN OUTSIDER POV FIC PROMPT: WAIT WAS BART IN A CULT?

Bart Allen, only 13 years old, ends up getting enrolled back into school to learn about modern history to unlearn the Reach’s vastly altered version of history that he was taught and to connect with non-meta kids his age.

He goes to central city middle school after jumping back to the future. The students there quickly notice that the new kid is a very weird guy.

- Bart said he came from Keystone city yet can’t name a single thing about Keystone.

- Despite being a class clown, he’s weirdly serious about certain topics and asking anything about the future causes Bart’s eyes to glaze over for a second

- He doesn’t know anything about pop culture.

- When asked what his favorite movie was for his “get to know you question,” Bart responded that he didn’t watch a lot of movies. He responded similarly for every other icebreaker question. Including favorite ice cream where when he replied, “I’ve never had ice cream” cue the class erupting in commotion and disbelief that took the teacher 10 minutes to calm down

- He doesn’t know about current social media trends. As a few months of him in school goes by, it becomes apparent that he’s almost never up to date on current or past social media trends.

- He’s absolutely horrible at history outside of some recent metahuman & JL events.

- He doesn’t seem to know how school works. Like, a kid goes up to him and offers to do his homework if Bart pays her because she noticed he was struggling with history... and Bart acts very confused. “Isn’t that not allowed?” And that comment confuses the shit out of the girl trying to get money out of Bart and they eventually continue talking and agreeing on her tutoring Bart free of charge. After a while he opens up to her about having difficulties remembering which history is which when writing essays but refuses to elaborate, leading her to think that Bart used to go to a Catholic school.

- in the lunch room, Bart said he didn’t know who Lady Gaga was and it began a trend of kids asking if he knew who [celebrity] was & bets were placed on if he did or didn’t (Bart caught on quickly and educated himself on this the day he found out so he wouldn’t seem too out of touch. It was boring quickly so he stopped keeping up with celebrity gossip quick)

- When interrogated about his lack of knowledge in media, he said he lived an “isolated childhood” and was homeschooled until recently

- Eventually in the locker room, when changing people notice his scars (unknown why them but they’re the results of The Reach’s reign and enforcement of control over the metas)

And the middle schoolers put the pieces together: Bart escaped from a doomsday cult.

- and the rumor spreads like fucking wildfire

- That’s why he has the scars, they must have punished him for defying the cult! That must be why he escaped!

- That’s why he said he had an isolated childhood and “can’t remember which history is the correct one”

- That’s why Bart has to have the worksheets for the lower grades given to him during worktime because he’s catching up on what he wasn’t taught while in the cult!

- That’s why his handwriting is famously awful to read! The cult must’ve not let him write so they couldn’t communicate to escape!

- That’s why he’s so touchy about talking about the future!

- That’s why he’s so awkward actually talking to people! He never got experience in the cult because he couldn’t talk to outsiders!

- That’s why he uses weird slang nobody’s ever heard of.

- That’s why he didn’t know what a giraffe was!

- That’s why he randomly disappears from school for weeks at a time, because he’s getting treatment from brainwashing!

- The brainwashing treatment rumor eventually devolves into that Bart disappears randomly for days or weeks at a time from school because he needs to pray to the gods he worshipped at certain times or is trying to escape back to the cult but keeps getting brought back; to he’s under the witness protection program and needs to be hidden from cult members trying to find Bart and bring him back (backers of this version claim that’s why they can’t find any records of a ‘Bart Allen’ anywhere online is because it’s a fake identity). and so the rumor’s light connection to reality devolves rapidly

- They’re middle schoolers so the rumors get a little weird (if not downright bizarre & essentially nonsensical because, again, middle schoolers. I only faintly remember rumors from middle school at this point but I remember they started relatively normal and then got fucking weird and most made zero logical sense ) but they center around one main thing: explaining away every weird thing about Bart on the fact that he recently escaped a doomsday cult

I’d be REALLY wary of that idea. I know it’s not your intention but no matter how you slice it that creates a scenario where some cats are genetically superior and more civilised than others based on where they’re from, which I feel is bad even if they happen to be nice to kittypets. Really love your work but maybe consider how you’d handle that one !!

Yeah, that's exactly the reason why I tacked the big old "THIS IS NOT IN THE REWRITE" warning onto the front of it lmao.

It also creates a situation where the Clans have an actual, unfortunate REAL justification for cat eugenics, which would mix very, very badly even in situations where there is no Clan/Housecat conflict. Unless it was completely dominant and always passed on but... you see how it's already an uncomfortable idea I'd have to tack on a bunch of bandaids to.

Sometimes a thought remains just a thought exactly because you end up thinking through its implications, y'know?

#What I like about the idea that I haven't figured out how to do any other way is that it explains why cat culture is so rare #Like why weren't there cats living at that big beautiful lake as soon as the previous descendants cleared out? With a twolegplace so close?#Obviously for one of my rewrite stories the answer is that the lake was ecologically decimated for a time... but #It's been recovering for decades and cats could live in an early oak forest #Or the various twolegplaces. Why do they not have their own organized groups if cats have languages to speak?#So far I've just kinda ignored it or used the gods. Like Midnight is preventing people from living at the Lake #Or. Cats #I should say #If it's a quirk of Special Cats that also opens up talking about how Real Humans shouldn't let their cats outside #But like. This is ultimately just waffling because the cats in canon are not written as real cats. Warrior Cats isn't really a series about #cats at all.#It's about small four-legged humans #With a very bad xenophobia problem #And you all see how many fires I put out with my rewrite in the pursuit of snuffing out as much xenophobia as possible #So... it's like I have to sacrifice the real-world impact of the most invasive species on Earth to avoid it. It is so them and so different from what is out now. There isn't a lot of effects or loud instrumentals. Just them organically 🫠

Secondly yeah! I mean granted I really only listen to enhypen (and now Riize too) so I don’t know any other boy groups sound but I’ll rarely dislike a group for having a unique sound that is uniquely them. It’s probably why I didn’t like sweet venom bc it was performed well and sung well but in the same way a survival group covers a song. Yes it’s good, but it’s not them. It could have been sung by txt, infinite, etc and I wouldn’t have noticed a change.

Another example is I don’t like Polaroid love, I think that feeling when is miles better and is the only enha song I don’t have downloaded 😭. Reason being? It sounds too plain, it doesn’t sound like them. Feeling when actually shows their range and vocal colors, even their earlier songs like 10 months do too!

So yeah, this is all to say that I hope the next cb is a masterpiece like dark blood and is just uniquely ✨enhypen✨
