Okay I've witnessed it happening enough in Queer Internet Circles that I think I can confidently say something about it.
Can we PLEASE stop picking arbitrary lgbt+ demographics out of a hat and having entire conversations about how they 'aren't actually queer' and 'taking valuable resources' for the crimes of 'some of them are cringe' or 'some of them are assholes' or 'they have a nebulous privilege over the rest of us so they're the oppressor, actually'.
Like look, some conversations are absolutely worth having. There's a lot of transmasc shitheads who latch on to toxic masculinity or seem to completely forget what it's like to navigate a world that considers you a woman, or completely fail to realize that being transgender yourself doesn't suddenly mean you don't have to examine yourself for internalized transphobia or transmisogyny. And that should be addressed, every community has its issues, no community is a monolith, no demographic is made up of entirely good smart righteous people or evil bad oppressive abusers. Obviously.
But I'm not talking about that!
I'm talking about people bringing up the same tired rhetoric they used when they tried to claim that nonbinary people are clout-chasing attention seekers who will keep cishet society from taking the rest of us seriously, that people used when they decided asexuals were actually cishets who co-opted our movement for their own personal gain, which was recycled from when people tried to claim that bisexuals are het-passing fakers and if a REAL queer has sex with one they'll be left for a cishet because that's what bisexuals do, which is the same as the shit they spewed at whoever the target was before that! It's paranoid nonsense all the way down, people looking for an acceptable target to take their shit out on!
Can we stop doing this, please?? Can we stop picking demographics within our own community that people arbitrarily decide are fine to bully and mock and kick out of the spaces they helped create because you think that they're cringe or that speaking about the issues they face is privileged whining? Can we stop giving bigoted cishets free reign on already vulnerable communities because someone arbitrarily decided that THESE queers are evil and cringe so its okay to make shitty comments and jokes about them? Can we PLEASE stop the cycle in its tracks while we can still see the crosshairs moving onto tranfems and trans women? We can stop this now before it starts getting uglier and deadlier, but we HAVE to be aware and do more than complaining about it online.

my hot take on Lizzie: the Musical is that the love story becomes infinitely more compelling the more actors/the production lean into Alice's flaws and selfishness rather than presenting her as some fragile little flower who's the voice of reason (tag novel below)
#lizzie the musical#alice ultimately prioritizes her own feelings and unhappiness over repressing her sexuality over lizzie's mental distress over her abuse#(which in fairness alice isn't really in any position to do anything about)#and she can be very sweet to the people she cares about but that doesn't negate/isn't negated by how she's putting her needs and wants firs#while also willingly being lizzie's refuge because she does love her#then in act 2 her turning on lizzie is. very understandable considering anyone would be scared shitless in her shoes#(whether either of the parents 'had it coming' or not your loved one snapping and committing gory murders is objectively terrifying)#(unless you're mrs. lovett which alice is. very much not though they share a selfishness)#and lizzie trying to use their love/sex to manipulate alice into perjuring for her - thus implicating her - is also obviously upsetting#add to that alice's words during the hearing + her overall proper lady schtick show she's drunk the edwardian patriarchal koolaid#'turn of the tables between me and you' is SO much in a lyric#anyway both of them are acting from a place of real suffering and real love and they're both wronging each other#and THAT is what real toxic yuri is all about#no one in this show is a good person. no one in this show (who is onstage) is an entirely bad person either.#everyone is acting from a place of oppression and pain and anguished love. they are all caged birds!

Had a dream about the new south park premiere and I honestly can't remember much about it but it was a Craig and Kyle episode believe it or not. The ending tho, is what I remember most and it was where Craig sees two boys holding hands and he's like "they should keep that inside" and Kyle's like "YOU'RE HOMOPHOBIC? but I thought you had feelings for Tweek" and after a pause he just responds no and then leaves

What games do you like to replay the most, and how do you tend to replay them? Like do you 100%, speedrun the story, speed to favorite sections and just let the game hang out in that state? I ask cause I’m currently replaying skyward sword (again) and it’s making me curious
ah yes the replaying a zelda game brain rot. i understand.
its actually super dependent on what it is I like about the game. for example, my most replayed zelda game, twilight princess, i replay because I love the spectacle of it. love the themed dungeons, the cinematic cutscenes and bosses, the characters. because its not much of a collectathon, i usually just replay it without trying to 100% everything. botw, meanwhile, ive probably 100%ed 4 separate times because the part of the game that I enjoy is the exploration, the making sure I've gotten every shrine and armor set.

So, you may be wondering why I haven't answered the asks to Kittypet Kingdom yet.
College has started yes. I have gotten busy looking for jobs but most important in my free-time whenever I can work on it.
I can't. Physically can not because I love sharing about the first thing to come to my brain than actually work on the project.
I have an inappropriate distribution of my attention span.
I shared so much of Kittypet Kingdom lore, fun facts, and etc that my brain logged it as "complete" and I can not start actually working on it because I already shared about it.
It's basically:
Me: sharing details of my story And its gonna be so good! I can't wait to create it!
Friend: Oh I can't wait to read it!
Also Me: proceeds to in depth explain every single event and character and plot- just the entire fucking story because I was excited
And then!
And then after you've unofficially shared the story, your brain logs it as basically a completed task and continuing to write the goddamn thing just has you like this!
IT'S A GOD DAMN FIGHT WITHIN MYSELF BECAUSE I WANNA BE A FUCKING MYSTERIOUS WRITER BUT, I CAN NOT LEARN WHEN TO SHUT THE FUCK UP AND IT'S ACTUALLY GIVING ME PAIN!
I LITERALLY HAD A COMIC ALMOST READY TO BE IN PRODUCTION BUT I SHARED SO MUCH ABOUT IT AND HYPED MYSELF UP AND SHARED THE CHARACTERS THAT I ACTUALLY INTIMIDATED MYSELF OUT OF WORKING ON IT AND IT'S BASICALLY ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE FOR ME TO WORK ON IT NOW.

What makes a villain a villain for you? Idk very broad question no wrong answers to it
I tend to conflate "villain" and "antagonist" - or at least antagonistic, if they're a main character like Charm is haha - someone who impedes others, who seeks to do harm, who is in some way uncontrollable and therefore dangerous. I also tend to like villains that have someone or something to rage against, very Megamind haha - "If there's bad, good will rise up against it."
Villains can be as complex or simplistic as you like, which is very fun! Some villains like to be evil for funsies! Some are tortured! Some don't realize that what they're doing is harmful! Yves is great example of a BBEG who has only good intentions imo (and coincidentally, is also modeled after my own ADHD lol, I have something of a soft spot for dysregulated villains haha)
One of my favourite aspects of the True Villainy AU, and kind of Just Desserts S2 as a whole, is how different types of villains look and move in that world - Charm was seduced by thoughts of revenge that stemmed from loneliness and bitterness, where Kaiein is a manipulative asshole who gets his kicks from causing chaos from the sidelines. Their motivations are very different, but they both do harm, and are both stopped! Villains ✨
#Villains have a lot of wiggle room for what makes them villains I think :)#And there's certainly more shades of grey to explore than the fairly black-and-white villains that I tend to like lol#Charm is pretty black and white - she's a villain until she isn't#It's still hard for her because she ''learned'' all these maladjusted behaviours to get through her life but she keeps trying!#Kaiein is very black and white - literally lol - he's a villain for funsies and has to be defeated rather than recovered#And Yves is quite black and white as well! He doesn't really consider the harm that he does until it's too late! And he still doesn't stop!#I think just about any antagonist Can be a villain depending on the framing - including those trying to stop my villains here#The JD Residents are villains for causing Charm mental anguish - that's why she seeks revenge in the first place!#And again they're the villains for taking away Kaiein's fun toy - you can tell I have little sympathy for him lol#The AGE crew are villains for trying to stop Yves from resurrecting his God and recreating the spiritual Cambrian explosion!#I think what makes a villain a villain is the harm they're willing to cause on the way to their goal#Anyone properly motivated can be twisted into the shape of a villain - what lengths are they willing to go to? Who are they willing to hurt#It's about finding the Hubristic Downfall and digging from there#Villains Are their characters flaws <3#I feel like I've mentioned it somewhere but I view Charm specifically as being endearingly flawed like a cat lol#Cats can have so many characters flaws that we would find unacceptable in humans but are charming - haha - in a cat#Charm is my self-love by way of cat-ifying my own character flaws <3 It's why I like villainsonas so much!!#They're little guys! i think a nihil-possessing-copia arc (or entire era, god forbid) would be incredibly entertaining to watch from a character acting perspective. and i'll be honest i do think it's way more likely than a lot of the other stuff that floats around. like, if giving copia a really sick and twisted fate is at the top of the priority list for any reason, it's kind of the first and most obvious thing that comes to mind. if the synopsis was bold enough to say the ghovie will pick up plot threads from the chapters, i genuinely think the only thing that's cropped up in more than one is nobody using copia's title and copia being frustrated about this. monkey's paw monkey's paw.
