Steve sings "Dude (Looks Like A Lady)" at a karaoke night with him, Robin, Nancy, Eddie, Jonathan and Argyle. Robin sings backup and it's an overall great performance.

But then Eddie starts to imagine Steve with a guy instead of how he'd normally imagine him with a girl when they would talk about dating.

That night he realised that he doesn't just really want to be Steve's friend and that "shit... I've got a crush on Steve Harrington".

It only took 3 months and quite a few chats with Robin about many absurd dreams (which Steve had no idea why Eddie was in) for him to realise that he liked Eddie too. And a month after that they were together, happy and in love.

The members of the Babysitters Club have canonically seen Starlight Express:

The book this is from, Stacey's Mistake, was originally published in 1987, which is in fact when Starlight Express was on Broadway. And this is even kept in the graphic novel version! They don't mention Starlight Express by name, but if you know, you know:

Babysitters Club // Steve Harrington Headcanon

Y/N and Steve were known as the neighborhood babysitters

most of the time Steve would handle the boys and she would handle the girls, but then a Winter Dance came along and they had to chaperone

Dustin made Y/N make sure he looked good enough for Nancy, one of his best friend’s sister

“He’s an idiot.” Steve leaned down to comment.

“He’s adorable. Let him have his crush.” Y/N chuckled, gently nudging him.

over time Y/N got to know the kids a little more. she babysat El and Max so when they all would hang out, she made sure to be sweet to Steve

“Steve-O. Hi.” Y/N beamed happily to see him.

“H-hi, Y/N. Wow, you look gorgeous tonight.” Steve stuttered, kicking himself internally.

“Yeah, got stood up on a date, but it’s fine. At least I’m getting paid tonight than spending money.” Y/N chuckled, lightly touching Steve’s arm as he reciprocated a frown.

they started hanging out outside of their babysitting gig, but sometimes talk about the kids

ultimately naming themselves the “Babysitters Club” because all of the kids in town wanted to be with the “cool older kids”

they never told anyone, but they loved it; each of them wanting a big and loving family

he might not have been the best at first, but he protected those kids with everything in him

Steve would definitely lay down his life for all of them and has multiple times from either the Mind Flayer, Demogorgon, or even Billy

hands down Dustin was his favorite, and they all knew but were okay with it

Max was Y/N’s favorite; El never really opened up but her but nonetheless she still loved the kid and missed her when she moved to California

Steve and Y/N were the role models they all looked for and needed

“Hey, Y/N?” Steve looked over.

“Yeah, Stevie?” She answered looking at him.

“We’re the best damn babysitters.” He kissed her cheek, trying to hide the blush.

“Yeah, we are the best damn babysitters.” She smiled, not hiding her blush.

Completed Gakuen Babysitters/School babysitters

And as I mentioned previously

I felt just like Usaida kun did🥹🥹🥹🔽

Usaida was sick and took a leave, Saikawa san looked after babies and gave him a call for emergency diapers, but the call had a bad connection and all Usaida heard was that Midori... emergency...and cut. And when he called back, the phone was unable to reach because Saikawa's phone was thrown into water by accident. So Usaida came by to check and the kids said all of this, I've only included three but all of them said something 🥹🥹, and that was his reaction, and then Kamitani teased him that he's too old for crying and he got embarassed😂

Also Midori said his name before mama or papa and it was also v cute :3

AYO LOOK AT KAMITANI😭😭😂😂😂🔽

This made me really warm and happy🫶🔽

Also the part where they made Ushimaru familiar with the kids was really really good. It's accurate and so real. The kids become individuals and you get used to them, and you love them. The acceptance and understanding and them just talking about it rather than her being shamed for it. I wish more adults would tackle situations in this way. It's really really needed. It was really one of the sweetest part.

I hope they all stay warm and happy, this anime has officially joined the list of my comfort anime, it's so warm and healing and happy. It's really sweet.

I hope to become more like Kashima Ryuuichi, though sometimes I feel like my character resonates a mix of Kamitani and Ryuuichi and Usaida. But they're all really good role models, so I hope to become more like them. They're kind, and sweet and warm.
