The cold of winter is all there is to be felt; shadows of ambiguity both visual and moral; pyrrhic victory that leaves behind fists soaked with blood and achieved dreams that no fucking star has answered; open skin on knuckles; secretive humour and chuckles; headaches that throb in his temples; seven blue siphons but not enough power to fix the inherent feeling of abandonment tattooed on the walls of his heart; hazel eyes of all the colours; the sweat from a nightmare; diving headfirst into a pool because it’s utterly quiet beneath the water; watch out for everyone; the knife in the dark; secrets, see all, listen all, reveal none; the stretch of scars running up to his mid-forearms; a scar at the corner of his lips commonly mistaken for a dimple or the curve of a smile but no-one’s been close enough to notice; the badger in hiding; the curved spine and folded wings in a worn down armchair thumbing through a captivating book; rereading his favorite books in secret; long walks around Velaris alone all night; the through beating of a boxing bag in the middle of the night; ghosts shadowing his every move; the weight of self-disappointment; the brewing of coffee first thing in the morning; the crisp clean paper before writing a letter; mother’s gifts delivered to his doorstep; a headache tonic in a small vial untouched despite his troubles; bravery and self-sacrifice; hero to the rescue never quite rescued from his own self; the exhaustion after reconnaissance; the bewilderment love brings; sitting in the back seats to musical concerts; few shirts, lots of jackets; the intoxicating fear he incites in everyone; hunter in the wild, doesn’t kill the game; the vulnerability of asking for help; vengeance thrashing in his blood only it is a small boy’s cry against his injustice; watching the full moon out his window, on the roof, in the street; seafood in restaurants; long limbs always bent and folded to minimize the intimidation; slouching in seats but not impolitely; leaning against walls, ankles crossed; always self-conscious; running from the shadow of his father; soft voice that speaks of a surprising kindness unfitting of his appearance; consideration and politeness but never friendly; family, not friends; knowledge that enforces a distance between him and everyone; the lack of keen sensation in his hands that doesn’t stop him wondering what it feels like to hold another’s; watching the formation of stars; feeding stray cats, never keeping them; doesn’t speak around his family much but he stays by their sides and sits with his brothers at nights; the companionship and comfort offered in silent persisting presence; unlovable, still wants to be loved; strongest Illyrian; shadowsinger; can sing but is never heard; humming tunes when he is alone; singing in his head; poetry that rips wounds in his heart; the alienation from his kind; Truth-Teller at his thigh; the filthying of his hands so his family’s will remain clean; spymaster of the court of dreams, carries out the dreams of others; his own silenced, of not importance to the most important of all—himself; the damage of self-destruction and the relief in healing; kindness to strangers but not threats; expensive gifts; the crunch of dead leaves beneath his feet; chirping of birds in pine trees; the salvation found in acceptance. Most powerful spymaster, feared, desired, never seen.

since acosf came out i had this feeling that gwyn and az could have a beautiful connection, honestly I love both of them and think that the little moments when they coexist together are really cute and wholesome. I love that they love music, they’re warriors, they’re determined and love loveee that Azriel’s shadows are calm and curious around gwyn.🌌🦇🗡️✨

My favorite commissioned piece so far for my passion project, ACOSAR. One of my favorite things about writing OC/Canon ships is exposing the canon character to a dynamic they may not have had otherwise. To reach a part of the character that has yet to be reached, or might not be reached in the future.

Their aesthetics?

Death and Rebirth. The Angel of Death and Divine Judgement. The Shadowsinger and the Daughter of Ravens. The Third Brother and the Third Paladin of the Raven Queen. Cold Death and Gentle Death.

Pro-Everyone in the Ship War, even with an Az/OC pairing. Everyone gets development here, some starting okay, and some starting at their worst.

We're currently getting a lot of Lucien Vanserra appreciation, but Elain Archeron's time is also coming soon (growth and healing. together. ;)).
