someone who is capable on their own but who knows when to ask for help, and that isn’t too proud to admit their mistakes

someone who she can have fun with to escape the unending monotony and responsibility of royal life — but who will also stick by her side when the time comes to be serious

someone who loves her for who she is and not the money and status she represents

and bonus points if you get her big sister’s approval

ariel

ariel would pursue a partner who makes the effort to try and understand her — who will push through barriers (emotional, physical, linguistic) in order to make her feel heard and loved

someone who she can have fun with without being made to feel irresponsible or childish — who isn’t afraid to act foolish or silly with her

someone who is affectionate with her, who can match her need for physical touch and such without her needing to beg

someone who isn’t afraid to argue and bicker, who doesn’t expect everything to be all roses and sunshine all of the time and bails when things start to not look so perfect

someone who has a good sense of humour and is able to match her wit and jokes without taking offense

but most of all: someone who is looking for a life partner to have fun with, not someone to be subservient to them

moana

moana would seek out a partner who is able to match her energy and mind — who she can talk to without limiting or censoring herself

snow would probably find gentleness an attractive trait in a potential partner — that and a willingness to be kind without the expectation of receiving any reward for it

she’s a gentle soul and wouldn’t be compatible with someone who is volatile or combative — especially during disagreements where she tries to seek out a compromise and speak concisely (us vs problem) instead of raising her voice and trying to be right (me vs you)

someone who can let go of their ego when necessary and let themselves be wrong when they’re wrong — someone who is reflective enough to know when they’ve made a mistake

someone who loves animals or who at the very least treats them with empathy and tries to help out where they can

someone who is honest with her but not blunt — being open without being cruel

oh and someone who loves her cooking and baking as that’s how she shows her love

tiana

tiana would look for someone who isn’t afraid to get their hands dirty — who is willing to put in work to get what they want rather than just expecting everyone to do everything for them

she needs someone who is independent but that works well with others as well, a team player who doesn’t need to be told what to do in order to get things done

someone who will stick by her through the tough times — providing emotional support and labour when needed without judgement — instead of someone who will just lay low and only be with her during the good bits of life

someone who isn’t afraid to admit when they’re wrong and who isn’t too proud to be emotional and vulnerable — she needs honesty, really

Disney princesses and their sexualities, my headcanons.

! please keep in mind that these are my headcanons and my opinion, you don't have to agree with it but don't be rude, thank you!

a/n: my headcanons does not follow the plot (if they have a partner/love interest or not, yk)

Look, all of these princesses have at least some interest in women. I'm gonna try to write a reason 'why' do I think that

Snow White; Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs

Bisexual. I mean she found her Prince Florian and they say that they lived happily ever after but I mean look at Florian...He's 34 and not very... handsome (sorry not sorry) so I think that she'll eventually want to explore more and more. She's also a very kind and loving soul who will probably fall in love with one or the other gender.

Cinderella; Cinderella

Bisexual but prefers men. So Ella grew up mostly with her two step-sisters and step-mother and they were abusing her. So I guess she has some kind of a need to rebel against their rules? and I guess they can be pretty homophobic so that's why Ella has the need to try out something with a woman, otherwise she looking mostly for men.

Aurora; Sleeping Beauty

Lesbian. Okay hear me out. I think that Aurora is a lesbian because she grew up with three women in middle of nowhere so I don't really think she could think of a man... She was raised by women and she lived with them most of her life so she seeks women. She cannot imagine a household without a woman and she definitely cannot imagine herself without a woman.

Ariel; The Little Mermaid

Pansexual. Ariel is interested in humans and your gender doesn't matter to her. She wants to explore and she's very curious so I think she will spend her time studying women and men separately. For sure she wouldn't care who her partner will be if female, male, non-binary... she doesn't care, she just wants to be loved.

Belle; Beauty And The Beast

Bisexual prefers women. Gaston is always flirting with her or showing off his muscles in front of her and he's just annoying her, so I think that's why Belle prefers women, because she's so tired of Gaston's (men) attention. She wants to be free and share her opinions on different books with someone intelligent and not dumb as Gaston. So that's why she's looking for women most of the time.

Jasmine; Aladdin

Bisexual. I really don't want to put 'bisexual' to everyone but.... Well Jasmine is pretty sassy and free-spirited. She need a bit of adventure in her life so she will see for someone who can protect her (man) and someone who can comfort her, understand her problems and someone to talk to all day long (woman). So I guess it only depends on who will stole her heart first.

Pocahontas; Pocahontas

Lesbian. She never seemed interested in Kocoum BUT she was very interested in her female friend, Nakoma. She's pretty curious, brave and free-spirited... she has a loving and caring soul which needs the same 'kind of soul' back. She need someone kind and gentle who is matching her energy... and she just really love boobs.

Mulan; Mulan

Lesbian. Mulan is more masculine then feminine. In the first movie she was really uncomfortable with all that make-up and the dress and was more comfortable in armor or shorts. So she seeks for someone who is almost the exact opposite of her; someone feminine.

Tiana; The Princess and the Frog

Bisexual. Tiana is confident and a hard-worker so she needs someone active. She has really close relationship with Charlotte and at the start of the movie, Tiana is disgusted by the thought of marriage and dating a man. But that was when she was a little kid, after she grew up she started to find men attractive but she still was interested in women, that's why she's bisexual.

Rapunzel; Tangled

Pansexual. Rapunzel spend 18 years locked up in a tower so after she get out she was REALLY curious about everything and everyone. She lived only with her 'mother' so she's interested in women but Eugene saved her so she began to be interested in men. After all she just wants to be loved and she wants to love, doesn't matter who, it will be the one who she will fall in love with.

Merida; Brave

Lesbian. I don't think I have to explain this one, Merida doesn't like men in the movies, she acc annoyed and disgusted by them. So it's no secret that she loves women.

Elsa; Frozen

Lesbian. Again I don't think I have to really explain this one either. It was confirmed that Elsa will have a female interest in Frozen 4. She is also independent and strong woman and I feel like she's getting more masculine which she shows in Frozen 2.

Anna; Frozen

Pansexual but prefers men. Does that make sense? I mean Anna is really kind and loving person. She will help anybody in need and comfort them in bad moments. But she always dreamed that she will marry her 'prince charming' and live happily ever after so that's why she seeks men, but if she wouldn't mind if she fell in love with a woman.

Kida; Atlantis: The Lost Empire

Lesbian. I don't know why but I just feel that she is a lesbian. She's independent and strong, she doesn't need a man. She also dominant and I kinda feel that she's also a bit masculine... that's why she want a woman. She also want woman because she admired her mother as a child so it brings her some kind of comfort.

Esmeralda; The Hunchback of Notre Dame

Bisexual. I mean she's pretty sassy and again independent, a bit masculine which she shows when she's with a woman, but there are many racist people around so she needs to be careful, that's why she also like men, because they can protect her and make her feel safe.

it’s late and i’m not rlly tired so i was just thinking and now i’m here to share my late night thoughts :)

soooo this is ‘Rapunzels Tangled Adventure’ (my current addiction - has been for a couple years tbh) and ‘Once Upon a Time’ my always addiction (for 12 (going on 13) years - since i was 7). Just relating Cass and Raps to Mulan and Aurora…

Mulan and Aurora’s relationship in OUAT absolutely rips my heart apart - Mulan being completely and fully in love with Aurora but not being able to tell her cuz of her relationship with Philip.

And then there’s Cass and Raps’ relationship which (a lot less obviously stated but is very much hinted at in many ways and confirmed outside of the show i think?) that Cass has feelings for Rapunzel but cannot tell her cuz of her relationship with Eugene.

And then there’s the fact that Mulan and Cass will do anything and everything to protect Aurora and Raps.

And thennnnnn there’s the looks of absolute love and adoration that Mulan and Cass give Aurora and Raps.

There’s writing on it cuz i got it from tiktok, whoopsies (@alex..springs on tiktok is who i got the cass one from, they make incredibleeee edits! lots of cassunzel ones!🤭🥰💗)

I know why I love Sailor Moon so much. I'm the same person who's favorite Disney movie is Sleeping Beauty. I live for the fairy tales and the romance and bound by fate love stories. And you know what? Sailor Moon is just like Sleeping Beauty. Serenity and Endymion are just like Aurora and Phillup.

So now I'm going to go on a rant about how the movie and series are similar.

Sailor Moon and Sleeping Beauty

Sailor Moon Summary:

A Prince and Princes destined to be together. Princess Serenity of the Moon Kingdom Silver Millennium and Prince Endymion of the Earth kingdom Elysium, were drawn to each other by their desire to protect the Earth and they ended up falling in love. However, tragedy befalls them and they both are killed in a war spurred on by an evil force. They are reborn centuries later as Usagi Tsukino and Mamoru Chiba. Unaware of their past lives, they encounter each other often once Usagi reaches her 2nd year of middle school. They are pulled toward one another by the Mystical Silver Crystal and their desire to find it. Usagi fights enemies as Sailor Moon along with her fellow guardians and Mamoru as Tuxedo Mask. Mamoru is killed by the enemy which triggers the memories of their past lives. After many events Usagi defeats the evil force that brought her kingdom to ruin and reunites with her love Mamoru. The two fight side by side and eventually come to rule the earth together as Neo Queen Serenity and King Endymion.

Sleeping Beauty Summary:

A young prince and a tiny princess are betrothed to one another. Princess Aurora is born and a celebration is held. In the midst of the celebration, the evil Maleficent places a curse on the princess for not being invited to the event. In fear of this curse 3 fairies take Aurora with them into hiding and raise her not revealing her identity until her 16th birthday. On this day the princess, Now called Briar Rose roams the nearby forest as she catches the attention of Prince Phillup. Unaware of each other's identities they end up falling in love. Later the fairies reveal to Briar Rose her identity as the princess and forbid her from seeing the man she met again. When Phillup goes to Aurora's cottage he is captured by Maleficent. The princess is taken to the palace and is lured by the curse of Maleficent to pick her finger. The princess dies and the fairies take it upon themselves to rescue Phillup and defeat Maleficent. Phillup slays her and awakens his princess with true love's kiss.
