finally got it uploaded!
behold part 1 of 3 of my 80 page video thesis on why the series sucks. Did I accidentally premiere it when I just meant to upload it. Yes, yes I did. Has YT changed the creator since I last uploaded a video? Yeah. but it's whatever. I'm too tired to fix it.
Sorry for any weird audio spots, my microphone was being a pain.

Unpopular Opinion - "LOKI"
I realize that Season Two of "LOKI" is not as popular as Season One. Which is ironic for me. Aside from the first episode and the last 15 minutes or so of the last episode, I didn't like Season One. I found it convoluted. On the other hand, I really enjoyed Season Two to the point that I found the ending very satisfying.

Are people srsly considering the scene where loki calls the NYC Incident "feelings getting out of hand" as good?
He would never fucking say that, man.
It is canon that he was tortured to do it. He was a whole damn mess during that whole thing and now its played down and straight up denied.
Am I missing something?

Can we talk about how Sylvie treats Loki? Or about how miserable he becomes around her? About how all of his personal progress drops to zero whenever she's around? About how 90% of their screentime together is them verbally or physically fighting, often because of Sylvie? How she doesn't even care if she hurts him (psychologically and physically) and instead doesn't hesitate to do so while Loki never attacked her?
This isn't enemies to lovers, this is simply toxic and abusive. But since it's a woman doing it to a man everyone just overlooks it because "omg she's so badass, girlboss!!"

Huh, I didn’t see that much buzz, but ok. If YouTube said the trailer was that much watched…
Let’s check the interest in the character google observed. If it’s that much viewed the peak will probably put all former ones in the dust.
Oh, ok, weird. I can’t see a 2023 peak. But the trailer dropped but a few days ago. Perhaps this big graph, including all data since 2004, doesn’t show it because it’s simply too close to the right margin. I should probably use a shorter period.
Huh, it doesn’t show up on the plot from 2018 until today, either? K, I’ll just plot the last year. Should be a clear peak then.
Where is it??
Ah, there it is. It only shows up when you search for the show instead of the character and limit the timeframe to the last 12 month.
Even when searching for the show alone, the 5-year-graph doesn’t show anything.

Wandavision was racist as hell and the writing of Wanda in it in particular is racist, antisemitic, and ableist. They turned surviving a racist hate crime in the comics into being obsessed with racist American sitcoms for some reason. I don’t care how bad Loki was anything is better than that crime against humanity 🙏
Loki(2021) did actually have some weird like undertones, I believe. Like they introduce all of these bipoc characters and literally all of them are villains. Kang, Ravonna, Hunter B-15 for at least most of season 1. They also slightly mention Loki being bi to get praise and money from the queer community only to force him into a romantic relationship with a female version of himself from an alternate timeline
And it's even weirder when Loki is also confirmed to be genderfluid through the show but in the same season they make a joke ab how a female Loki is rare and terrifying. Like mf that was you Tuesday.
And I'm not at all trying to discredit your opinion on Wandavision because I also have major issues with how they've adapted her for the screen, but Wandavision isn't about praising old American sitcoms
The reason she loves them is because they were a comfort to her after she had lost everything. It's more ab healing from trauma via nostalgia which is very relatable to audiences. Also I would love to hear your opinion on how it's ableist if you wouldn't mind sending another ask explaining!!
(Also just last thing but if we're talking about mischaracterization Multiverse of Madness was SO much worse than Wandavision imo and was written by the guy who wrote Loki)

The state of Marvel is PITIFUL!
‘LOKI’
This show is LITERALLY just a Rick and Morty script (‘The Worst Guy in the Universe and the Woman Who Killed Him’ by Michael Waldron) with the name ‘LOKI’ slapped on it and blind people still LOVE IT and call it ‘tHe bEsT mArVeL sHoW eVeR!’ It’s a total WASTE! Does Tom Hiddleston know how IRRELEVANT he IS in this excuse for a ‘show?!’ The script just has women kicking this ‘idiot’ around and they’ve made ‘Loki’ into said IDIOT! As a huge fan I can confidently say that this show doesn’t even BELONG in Marvel! It belongs on a kids or TEEN channel!! Does he REALISE how bad, pathetic, POINTLESS not to mention DISRESPECTFUL this show IS to him and HIS character?! They’re just using him as a MARKETING MASCOT at this point! It’s a complicated yet hollow bridge to the next movies and that’s IT! They’ve cheapened a cool character to being nothing more but a MASCOT!! He’s not RELEVANT! 😤

conspiracy theory: sylki was never going to be endgame cause she kissed loki in the s1 finale to manipulate him to trick him and kill HWR and bait the audience and yes loki did like her but she like dumped him literally and he realized that it couldn’t work between them. season 2 was the natural progression that loki and sylvie weren’t meant to be together CAUSE LIKE THEY’RE NOT. and they never were going to be. loki needed to get his heart broken by a variant of himself to be able to move on and truly love selflessly (s2 progression). s1 sylki was just a means to a s2 loki character development end.

I made the mistake of scrolling the dash last night, hoping to re-engage my Loki fandom feels, only to be reminded of why I've more or less quit this fandom - which, for the record, is bc I don't know if it's purity culture or "woke" culture or just "for the love of god, I'm begging you to touch grass" culture, but I'd like to engage with my blorbo without running into posts spouting takes like "saying Loki has small, slender hands is a feminization kink (and therefore bad)." Like?? I think there's something inherently anti-genderfluidity(?) to assume that men can't have small, slender hands or that having small, slender hands is automatically a feminine trait, and also Loki does have small, slender hands, and also even if it is being written as some kind of a kink, so what? Why are we kink-shaming?
I mean, I don't know, it just seems like there are more and more and more things that are being shamed, or criticized, based on an arbitrary sense of morality that undermines fiction as a creative, explorative form of art and it's just beyond exhausting - and fucking obnoxious - at this point.

Just wanna say FINALLY SOMEBODY ELSE WHO HATES LOKIUS AND SYLKI
For Sylki is obvious: toxic, toxic and they're basically the same person and I can't stand Sylvie (and no I'm not a man who hates women. I'm a woman too and I find her character annoying and useless to the story. You'll see how her character is going to be even more annoying at Season 2)
For Lokius, I felt I was the only person that didn't ship them. In the first episode you can smell the toxicity a mile away. Mobius is gaslighting him as FUCK. And the "Kill me like you killed your mother?" Bro? Wtf? 💀
I wouldn't say hate, that would require more emotional involvement on my part. Despise with a drop of loathing, if this is really supposed to be "it" for Loki.
I was surprised to find out I don't mind Sylvie in Lamentis, or even the episode after that. What ruined it was- ironically- episode with other Lokis. They pushed her ✨specialness✨ so hard! And then that fucking romance, when Sylki worked so well as How-the-fuck-would-you-call-being-friends-through-sharing-your-trauma-with-your-alternative-self?!
Suddenly Mobius is all "Aww, you're in looove!", which at that point sounds more like a 5 y/o yelling at another one, who doesn't want to be friends with him, because he's already friends with some girl! And as if that made it so, Loki goes from distrusting Sylvie through empathy to acting all subservient, when she's concerned?! WTF?!
I know he's mentally fucked up, and his stay with TVA certainly didn't help him, but how?!
(There's also the issue of Sylvie as a character. I might not be some hardcore MARVEL fan, but even I know there's a blond female Asgardian, called Enchantress, who has a history with Loki, so why would you take her attributes to create OC version of Loki, that refuses to even call herself Loki?!)
Mobius' only possible excuse is his own history with TVA. How far did their mindfuck reach? Is that why he doesn't seem to understand boundaries, and requires treatment he, himself isn't willing to offer Loki? Is that why he's preaching about friendship, while sending his alleged bad friend to torture?
If we don't put effort into finding excuses, he's just a dick. He's fully aware this isn't THE Loki, yet he's treating him as if the main timeline's deeds were his doing. Kinda ironic, when you relize this Loki is in TVA for NOT following the script, but apparently Mobius can have it both ways.
As for their relationship- Mobius is backed by a huge organization, while Loki's constantly reminded he can be killed as soon as they don't need him anymore. He has nothing, but Mobius' mercy to work with, and that's rather obviously conditional. Those are supposed to be foundations for a non-abusive relationship?!
Mobius uses his assets to mentally torture Loki, gaslights the hell out of him and manipulates him, while Loki's mostly defensive. There's zero effort to change anything about it, until Mobius starts to doubt TVA, and then he's fighting for himself. He's not taking down the organization that made him hurt his friend, he's taking down an organization that lied to him and others like him.
Loki's just giving, forgiving and forgetting, because he's a horrible, arrogant, selfish asshole, who never changes (Although another question is, when exectly was he so bad to need to change so much?).
