Guy: It's not just them, okay? It's in the papers! Something is attacking people in the woods after dark. It comes from out of
nowhere. All anyone recalls is being tackled by a flying black blur then pinned to the ground with inhuman force and fucking pierced
by needle-sharp teeth. This thing takes enough blood to leave them just barely alive, and the crazy part is it seems sorry after, like it just can't help itself. It dumps them by the roadside where they'll be seen
so they don’t bleed out. They call it the Copperdale Creep.
Julia: [scoffs in disbelief] This town is nuts. And you guys have been watching too many scary movies.
Guy: If you don't believe me, just check the front page of the Courier!
Elli: Skate solo at your own peril, Jules!
Alma: It's broad daylight, cowards. She'll be fine.

How would cg!Mike deal with a little reader who's overtired and on the verge of a tantrum?
Definitely would be frustrated at first. You kept whining because he just couldn't understand you!
He sighs rubbing a hand over his face. He had gotten home around an hour ago and already brought Abby to bed, but now he was dealing with little you who was getting more worked up each time he tried to figure out what was bothering you.
"Listen, I'm really trying but you do need to tell me what's wrong for me to help you, alright?" he says standing before the TV and you crossed your arms pouting up at him from your position on the ground before the couch.
"Are you hungry?"
"No."
"You want to draw something?"
"Noooo."
He could see the tears well up in your eyes and he knows you're very close to a tantrum, which is the last thing he wants to happen after the day he had.
The moment you rubbed your eyes and let out a little yawn he sighed in relief at finally figuring out what got you so moody and whiny.
Without saying anything he turned off the TV, ignoring your grunt of disapproval and held his hand out for you, glad you comply and intertwined your fingers with his.
In his room you let out a surprised yelp when he suddenly picked you up and let himself fall back first on the bed with you on top of him, smiling a little when you started to giggle.
"So, I can either read to you or we listen to something, you choose baby." he offers and you sit up thinking for a moment.
"Read to me...pwease?"
5 minutes later you were in your jammies, cuddled up into Mike's side and watching him flip through the pages, the rumbling from his chest as he reads lulling you slowly to sleep.

Andrew and Julia sleeping with each other when Andrew starts saying Ashley's name in his sleep. Julia thinks he's having a nightmare until she realizes those aren't noises of worry he's making...
Oh actually that's curious, would Andrew have nightmares while staying over at Julia's place.
If he did though, I cannot imagine him asking for Julia's help the way he does Ashley, on one hand because he doesn't want her help, and on the other because both him and Ashley know very well Ashley is the only one who can give him respite
(Also, Andrew does lie about his nightmares sometimes, I wonder if he ever used that as an excuse to just stay with Ashley at their place instead of going to sleep with Julia)
In this situation, I can picture Julia just waking up and taking a second to process the situation first, she's worried and too drowsy to just wake him up all at once, but then slowly, she looks at Andrew and at his flushed face and at his hands and at the way he's moving against the bed
And she just quietly listens-in in silent terror at her boyfriend moaning out his little sister's name in front of her
Usually any girl would get pissed at their boyfriend having sex dreams about other girls, but it is a special kind of scary when said girl is his not so discreet little sister
I definitely think that Julia wouldn't take too kindly to that, I cannot really picture her being okay with the incest that way, the way other characters in-game seem to be, but she also comes off as very non confrontational.
So I think she would just shove Andrew awake with one swift move and then immediately turn around on the bed and pretend to be asleep.
Julia also pretends like she doesn't hear her boyfriend quietly cursing to himself while lifting the sheets out of the lower half of his body before quickly running to the bathroom and locking himself up in there for a while.
Man, Andrew is such a bad boyfriend in my takes lol, maybe he was more decent in-game, but somehow I rather doubt that. Doesn't seem like he cared much for poor Julia.

it's incredibly frustrating how there are so many Bat books being printed right now and yet basically every single woman attached to the Batfam is being screwed over and treated like shit
Babs is either "The Girlfriend" (Nightwing) or a law-abiding hacker Mom Friend with no life or friends outside of Gotham (Batgirls)
Cass and Steph have had their personalities and skillsets fucked over and are being written as incompetent middle schoolers
Kate and Helena aren't in anything
Selina's being written by Tini Howard and stuck in a weird dead-end relationship with a guy no one likes
Renee is not only not Question and a whole cop again she's the Commissioner
Tam Fox got fridged (again)
Julia and Harper haven't been seen in years outside of the Joker solo of all places (and Julia was completely left out of Alfred's will despite being his daughter)

Hey Squat! ❤️
In some ways, my current story, The Duchellis, is the longest I've ever stuck to anything in this game. It actually began because I'd constantly start a new save, mess around for a few days, then get bored and start over. I never really got to the point where any of my sims' children grew up or anyone died from old age, and I never really knew what to do. Then I had the idea to see if i could stick to a legacy challenge.
I started the Experiences Challenge by @duchesty and played through all 12 generations, and I had a blast. I made up stories in my head about the family and I actually cared about them a lot. It ended with Ursula, the final heir, solving the Strangerville mystery ❤️
A year or so later, I felt like doing it again, but a bit differently. This is also where I decided to take pictures and post the story for others to see for the first time, because I've always wanted to write but it scared me.
Putting captions on some silly sims felt less daunting.
The first chapter of The Duchelli Legacy (the name is an homage to Duchesty) was published February 23, 2022 and for a long time, I had a story in my head but mostly adapted it to what my sims were doing, nudging them into situations that fit with my headcanon.
The first generation was about Alexandra trying to juggle a criminal career while being in an open marriage with Don and dealing with her Landgraab baby daddy's extremely jealous new wife.
Generation 2 started with Cora and her two best friends going to university... but I barely got into Generation 2 before I started coming up with plot and using poses and changing up my writing style.
Cora went on a very unexpected trip and her entire life changed. And suddenly I was no longer doing a challenge, but writing a very long story with plot. And generational trauma.
Generation 3 followed Cora's son Eric and the consequences of some questionable university experiences. These experiences left their mark, and Eric struggled a lot with some very unhealthy coping mechanisms.
Eric's struggles affected his daughter, Freya, who grew up with her own issues. It took a major disaster for her to finally face her demons and deal with them.
Thankfully she did, and her daughter Julia grew up healthy and happy, the first to do so in several generations.
But that doesn't mean that Julia won't be facing her own challenges, especially after a fateful run-in with famous actor Paul Romeo at GeekCon.
And now we're here. Let's see what happens next, shall we? 👀
