Reminder you can block tags
All polls with characters under the age of 18 are marked with the tag #minor poll So if you don't want to participate, you don't have to. Just block the tag. If I need to expand the tag to all high schoolers even if they are 18, please let me know because the polls that people are starting crap on are high schoolers who are 18 and 19.
Do not start crap in the comments. I do allow high schoolers because so many of us grew up watching anime in our first anime crushes were probably high schoolers. Plus anime ages do not make sense sometimes because I have watched an anime about an assassin trying to get back home to his wife that I swore had to be in his twenties. He was actually 16 again anime ages don't make sense sometimes. Now this does not condone preying upon minors in real life. But these are fictional characters. You cannot hurt them because they don't exist in real life. But again do not start crap I will block.
Plus I'm pretty sure most people don't actually know the real ages of characters with how many messages I get saying a character is under 18 or 15 and a simple Google search reveals the character is in their twenties or is married with children if there is no official age so safe to assume they're an adult from an official source. And for every one character I'm getting that is actually underage whether it's I need to add the minor tag or even I need to delete the poll because they're too young to be a high schooler. I'm getting at least five to seven messages that are false alarms.
This also goes for spoilers I'm tired of people getting mad about manga only characters when I tag polls with the appropriate tags. Plus all polls with spoilers get the tag #spoiler poll just to be safe remember people block the tag if you're worried about spoilers or manga only characters.
I'm reminding people about this because I don't want to have to bump the age back up to 18 because people can't behave and today I had to delete a couple comments because people tried to start stuff. Ironically, they were complaining about characters who were 18 but they were still in high school. I did double check again. People don't realize the characters actual ages. I don't want to have to police your language in the comments. Just making polls and daily blog maintenance is exhausting enough. But if I have to I will block people for the sake of my sanity. So please behave this goes to everyone.

From playing football in a muddy park during a rainy afternoon to signing the professional contract you’ve been dreaming of — the road to stardom is here. You can imagine it all now: being an athlete that jets across the world, having fans that wear your name on the back of their shirts; gaining sponsors and money, and… fame.
You’ve put pen to paper in London and now the ink has dried. It's official. You are an Inter City FC player. You’re starting your career as a professional footballer with a club that has objectives of their own. Winning the league. To the new club you’ve signed for, you’re the missing puzzle piece to their success.
But, the beautiful game is more than just a mere ball at your feet. It’s more than just your manager and teammates. It’s the media, the opposition, the rivals and everything in between.
There isn’t anything you want more than this. To make a name for yourself on and off the pitch. To press your lips to the shiny trophies you’ve worked so hard for. To hear fans chanting your name in the crowd. To have a club that feels like a family.
Nothing can get in the way, that’s been your motto since you first started playing. Surely the beautiful game won’t ruin you when you’ve given so much to it.
You just wonder whether it’ll be worthwhile.
Let the match commence…
This is an 18+ game due to explicit language, sexual themes, mention of sexual themes, mental health issues and more.
Customise and play as a male, female or non-binary; straight, gay, lesbian, bisexual, pansexual, graysexual, demisexual, asexual, footballer w/ the choice of your own pronouns.
Choose your footballer’s position: goalkeeper, defender, midfielder, or striker.
Pick your footballer’s public persona. Will the media adore you? Or will you keep them on their toes? Will they love or loathe you?
Did you make it due to hard-work or sheer talent?
Manager your social media presence.
Decide your footballer’s playing style and strengths: a player with flair? Or a no nonsense baller with physicality?
Play as a person of colour (this choice can have an effect on the story). Your gender can also have an effect in game.
Travel the world with your football club that will become a family.
Romance any of the five romantic options; four of which are gender-selectable; male, female and non-binary. The ROs are: the rival, the teammate, the best friend, the idol and the heir — these romances will get the rumours starting…
Develop meaningful friendships, relationship… or even hook-ups.
Take the sporting world by storm. Do you play football for the fame? Or for your love of the game?
THE RIVAL
It didn’t start off as a rivalry. But you and Nikita/Navarro/Nevada Tallon weren’t the best of friends either. The two of you started at the same football academy, and whilst you were signed for an extra year, they were rejected. That was their first loss. For a while, they lost their dream. Forever: they lost you. Now it’s different. They’re all grown up and they’ve found a football team to call their own — A.C. United — the football team that happens to be the rival to yours. Football is full of history, it’s full of emotion too — and you and N have plenty of that to give, both on and off the pitch. Their one goal is to win. The two of you are, once again, fighting for the same crown. To be the best footballer in the city. Maybe even the world.
Maybe things will be different this time around between you two. The stone-cold glares and the snide remarks could dissolve into something else. Into something real and something beyond hatred.
THE TEAMMATE
You’re the newcomer. You’re waltzing into a team that’s somewhat established already, so having a teammate like Léa/Lando/Lakelyn Santos (their gender matches your mc's) to ease you in is always welcome. They’re the captain of Inter City and they’re a bit of a media darling. Graceful on the pitch, and even more graceful to the press. They’re confident, assured, calm and collected. But, beneath all that lies something else. It’s been a while since someone’s seen the real them. They were burned in the past, all because of a well documented break-up that took a lot out of them. Since then, L has been sworn off of falling for another athlete again, and they're keeping everyone at an arm's length. Beyond football, it’s not easy to get close to them.
But if you did, what a powerful couple that would grace the footballing world.
THE BEST FRIEND
You know how hard it is to be an athlete. Milan St. Clair knows it too. Since becoming best friends in your late teens, you know you’ve both had the same goal. Whilst they are trying to conquer the tennis world and you’re making it in football, they’re the one constant that remains. The one who is familiar and comforting. Maybe the two of you could’ve been something more, or maybe your passionate personalities for your sports just got in the way. Milan’s rising through the tennis ranks now, they’re becoming more known. Their game continues to improve more than anyone ever expected. They have Grand Slams in their sights.
But you are right in front of them. You could both cross that line, take that next step and become more than friends…
THE IDOL
Cypress de Vera, known for their precise and thunderous tackles — Cypress is footballing royalty. Their potential was high, their talent was even higher — they’ve set records for the ages. E has riches, fame, and a powerful last name — but take it from them, it’s not all its cracked up to be. They’re in a world that’s entirely their own, they model, sing and now their passion has shifted to wanting to write a bestselling novel. Their life has been a whirlwind, and honestly, if the world came with an off switch they’d hit it immediately. But they like to have their fun: their sharp tongue, constant media presence, and attraction to chaos means they ignore their father’s footballing legacy and will continue to make a name for themselves. E has been branded as trouble and it's a current name they quite like.

Good news. Chapter ten will be yours to read on the 8th of July at 1:30pm bst. Those on the Golden tier of my Patreon can read chapter ten now. Those on the silver and bronze tier will get early access this Tuesday and Thursday, respectively.
I often wonder whether this chapter or my dissertation was easier to write, but I really am still up in the air about the answer to that because both took a lot out of me. It's been a very long time since a demo update but hopefully, this will be worth the wait when you get to read the continuation of fake dating and experience high stakes, blackmail and found family.

Rekindled Update Schedule Adjustment for April/May
Hey y'all! So the next couple weeks are gonna be the busiest out of all of them as I'm doing two weekends straight of tattoo expos. I was hoping to have the entirety of Episode 50 ready for you all this weekend, but the length of the episode wound up being a bit longer than what was doable with my current workload.
SO there will be an update this weekend, but it will only be the first half of Episode 50, meaning it's going to be a bit on the shorter side. That said, we'll be updating AGAIN the weekend after on May 4th to make up for it! This just helps divvy up the work into halves that are easier to handle while I deal with all my other shit going on IRL.
After the second half of Episode 50 goes up on May 4th, we will NOT be updating on May 11th as it would have originally been planned. This is both because of the schedule change to accommodate the episode split, but also-
May 11th is when the final episode of Lore Olympus releases! As much as LR was created 'in spite' of LO, and as much shit as I talk about it, LO making it this far and finally ending is a feat that not a lot of creators accomplish - not to mention I wouldn't be here and LR wouldn't exist if it weren't for LO - and so I want to show proper respect to LO finally ending after all these years by not updating on the 11th as was originally forecasted. Instead, I'll be doing a sort of send-off illustration and post to bid it farewell, and to wish Rachel luck in her future endeavors, whatever they may look like. I might also decide to livestream the night of the release so we can make a fun little event out of it if anyone's interested in participating :' ) (I'll put out more details on this if I come up with anything that's fun and easy enough to do haha)
So yeah! New Rekindled this weekend and next, none on the 11th! Mark your calendars! <3

NJCS returns this February for the 2024 season! Many will enter, but only one will win the championship and be named the Nicest Jewish Character and join the ranks of previous winners (Ms Frizzle, Spock, and Clark Kent/Superman). The nominations are OPEN for both new and returning contestants.

SIGNAL HILL is a post-apocalyptic action interactive fiction game by @townofcrosshollow about exploring the bustling city of Signal Hill- and determining who gets to control its future.

He might not be a real doctor, but at the very least he's a friendly face, given that he patched you up after the unfortunate incident at the gates. If you need somebody with a gas mask who can hold his own against the wasteland, a real survivalist, he's your guy.
YASMIN - she/her - BARONESS
Left to essentially run the city on her own after her water baron father died, Yasmin isn't crazy about leadership- she's content to just get high and have fun. But since he died, it's been clear her mental state has been... deteriorating.
YVETTE - he/him - RED LIGHT MOGUL
If you're looking to have fun in Signal Hill, chances are you're going to wind up in one of Yvette's establishments. Nobody knows how he got this rich, but there are some rumours about how he looks so good- blood is said to have rejuvenating properties, after all.
KC - she/her - MERCENARY
Tired of the shit they got from the guards, KC and her loose company of (questionably legal) mercs now operate out of the ruins to the south of Signal Hill. She might be the most level headed person in the whole area- but don't mistake that for being a pushover.
LEVI - he/him - DEVOTEE
The face of the strange cult springing up within Signal Hill, Levi appears surprisingly normal on the surface, even charming. Just don't question his authority. There's only one person in the world who can tell him what to do, and you're not it.
WOLFE - he/him - ENFORCER
A truly hateable kind of guy with a sour demeanour but a talent for keeping his underlings in line, you instantly get off on the wrong foot with Wolfe. Don't expect that to change. He might be good at his job, but he's not against breaking the rules to keep you quiet.
ALDRICH - they/them - ???
You've heard rumours about this person, who can see into your head and make you feel static in your veins, who's risen from the dead and enlightened masses of followers. Sounds like a lot of horseshit. Are they even real? I guess you'll find out.

ALMOST DONE WITH MY MASTER'S DEGREE!!!!!!
I have to present my project Thursday morning, and take an exam Thursday evening, then I'm home free!
Do I know what I'm doing post-graduation? God no! I applied to some PhD programs, but I haven't gotten accepted to any of them yet. I still haven't heard back from three schools, but at this point it's likely because I'm on a waitlist, and I'll get notified of my rejection in a month rather than right now. 😔
What about this blog? Well, now that I'll hopefully have energy and conscious thought outside my classes, I'm going to try to get back into the habit of doing pokemon edits! I have missed making and posting them the past months, I just have not had the time or the energy to do them.
As for other things, Big Man's doing well! He loves his lap time as always!
And I got a treat in the mail yesterday! The Neon White soundtrack by Machine Girl on vinyl! 4 records total. This soundtrack absolutely slaps, and I'm excited to own a physical copy!
I plan to have a new edit up sometime today! I'll work through the remaining requests first, then go from there. And I hope you enjoyed my digimon with hats posts on April 1st. It wasn't as elaborate as Pokemon With Shoes last year, but it's what I had energy for.

Next Volume Announcement (Please read)
Thank you to everyone who read the first installment of The 14 Year Journey!! When I started this project I had no idea it would turn into all this and I'm so grateful to you who've been here from the start and those who joined last week who want to stay. There's only so much time in the day and I'm truly honoured that you choose to spend that time enjoying my work.
Over the course of working on this, I've gotten much better at art and writing, and so I've decided to make a decision. Some of you likely noticed this by now,
The 14 Year Journey Volume 1 will be renamed to The 14 Year Journey, Prologue.
The next volume will now be the start of the first volume, thank you to @gonna-getcha-boy for helping me with my script and overall being the best beta reader ever!
I hope to see you all when the next volume comes out, release date TBD

Big steps are scary, but not moving forward is scarier u.u
So I've been sitting on this post for a little while now, I had planned to post it a few days ago but then I crashed for a nap and woke up to the news of LO ending so wound up using that as another excuse LOL
The last few months have been, to put it lightly, brutal. It's not that anything has happened, it's more like nothing is happening - the usual slow season in tattooing has been especially long, with especially less clients coming through the door, so while it's given me loads of free time to prepare for my conventions and work on other projects, it also means I'm not making as much as I'd usually make. And what I usually make is typically what supports everything I do here.
This has basically been me for the last half a year:

I'm very fortunate to have a job that satisfies my dream of making a living off art, controlling my own schedule, and making money doing it to boot - but the caveat to it all is that it's a luxury service that relies on the economy around me doing well, and the economy around me right now is very much NOT doing well. I'm also very fortunate that my savings are capable of supporting me, but that's all they are, savings - if I'm not making anything, they'll burn up eventually. I'm not sure how physically capable I would be of going back into retail / food service, and it's honestly just not something I want to do after coming this far as a tattoo artist.
I've also learned how valuable and necessary collaboration is during projects like these. Not just to supplement the quality of the work itself, but to supplement the working experience as a whole. Working with an assistant has been an eye-opening experience in that regard.
When I set out to make this account, it was for the purpose of LO shitposting, edits, essays, and nothing much more than that. I wanted to keep it separate for the sake of my mental health and for the sake of my separate audiences, because when I started here, it just... wasn't a popular opinion in the slightest to have opinions about LO and comics like it outside of the positive norm. I had a lot of fear for a long time built up in my head over it, but as time has gone on, I've fortunately had mostly positive experiences and even when they aren't positive... I've proven to myself that I'm capable of moving forward through it all with my head held high and that these scary experiences aren't as scary as they tend to seem in my head. That's really just the funny thing about fear over any sort of 'risky' endeavor.
That said, I've also branched out a lot more from this blog's original purpose. I've talked about the process of making webcomics, Webtoons as a platform, offered alternatives to creators seeking refuge from the more corporate platforms, given out writing and art advice, discussed topics concerning Greek myth, shared my own original works, and basically just naturally progressed into talking about and doing other things because LO will end eventually and I don't want to restrict myself to talking about the same comic forever LOL
This is a crossroads that I've been at for a few months now. And I know nothing will change unless I take a step forward. It might wind up not being in the right direction in the end, but it's forward, and that's all that really matters to me, because staying in the same place forever isn't good for anyone.
So, I guess I'm gonna stop yapping and just show y'all what I've been working on! I brought this up in a Twitch stream the other day and people in the chat were all very supportive and optimistic, so I'm hoping those of you who follow me here will be too ╭( ･ㅂ･)و (and if not, well, you can kick my ass in my inbox later LOL)
I've applied for my genericpuff account on Twitch to become an Affiliate channel and am just waiting on the approval process. Assuming everything goes through well enough, y'all will be able to subscribe to my channel or support it with bits. If I do get approved I'll be doing a rehaul of the channel design and offering some fun lil' goodies for the chat, and I'll be trying to stream at least twice a week.

But now for the biggest new addition - I've started a Patreon account specifically for my genericpuff stuff ! Normally I would redirect anyone who asked to my main Patreon, but it's not as active nowadays simply due to my original projects being on hiatus. And it's not exactly the best space to share any bonus goodies related to my genericpuff account.
That said, I want to make it clear that I will still be putting limitations on what I offer on this page. Anything related to early access sneak peeks will still be free for all. This will be a glorified tip jar first and foremost, most of what I will be offering as bonus goodies and incentives will be stuff like time lapses of pages, art tutorials, original character designs, critique requests, early access adoptables, deleted scenes, etc.
Basically it'll be stuff that I'm already making (or want to make) but will be exclusive to patrons that won't be tied exclusively to the reading experience of Rekindled. The comic will always be free to read, not just because of the legal stipulations of it being a fan project, but because I want it to be.
Alternatively, if you want to access the stuff I have planned for my original work that I will be posting as early access to my Patreon once it rolls out, you can support that Patreon here!

Building this little community over the past year has been life-changing, and I don't say that lightly. Announcement: The Best New Main Character Tournament
I'm a huge sucker for perspective flip stories, and so I wanted to create a tournament oriented around finding who would be the most interesting characters to make a perspective flip for.
So the basic premise of this tournament is this: characters who are not the original main character of their story will battle it out to see who would make the most interesting hypothetical main character if the story they're in was re-written from their point of view.
Since this tournament is perspective-flip oriented, the hypothetical being imagined in it isn't meant to be "what if this character completely replaced the original main character, and events unfolded differently because of it?" but rather, "what if events unfolded as they did in the original story, just with this new character's point of view centered?".
SUBMISSIONS ARE CURRENTLY OPEN! As of right now, they will be open until April 30th, but that may be extended/shortened depending on many submissions I get and how quickly I get them. Submissions will be accepted via asks. Please include the following for characters you want to submit:
Their name
What they're from
(Optional) any additional propaganda you want to include
(Optional) if there’s a specific image you want used you can also insert it into the ask (otherwise I’ll just find something on google images)
Some other submission guidelines about what kind of characters will/won't be accepted can also be found on this blog's pinned post. But generally: you're welcome to submit as many characters as you'd like and they can come from any medium (tv, book, video game, etc).
