1. “Man can't deal with empty nest syndrome and cannot look past an orphan child without adopting them. He takes in Dick when Dick is 12 (he eventually does adopt Dick after Dick is already an adult), after being one of many people to witness Dick's parents die. After Dick went off to do his own thing he met Jason who was living on the streets after his Mom died. After Jason died, Tim shoved his way into Bruce's life saying that Bruce needed a partner in crime solving after Jason's death (Tim still had parents who were alive at this point, they did eventually die and was taken in by Bruce). Cassandra's circumstances I'm not fully clear on but she was raised by her bio dad to be a living weapon and she ran away (from my understanding at least) and Bruce took her in. Duke was taken in after his parents were hospitalized due to a Joker attack and were/are unlikely to recover. Bruce also mentors other children heroes including Barbara Gordon and Stephanie Brown, both are close to his kids and are sometimes seen as under his wing as well, but neither see him as a parent.”

The morning the group left, Rick said his careful goodbyes to his two adoring bots, promising to be back just as soon as he could make it.. He knew it was dangerous.. but.. How else was he supposed to make himself useful-
He didn't need much in the way of packing, padding out his pockets with the essentials. Flint and steel, his weapon, at least two pocket knives- He had everything someone who didn't need to eat or sleep needed.
All that was left was to join the rest of the group and set off towards this formidable sounding Combine facility..

By the time Rick had met up with the once intimidating, now kind of chill sounding Gordon Freeman, the "man of legend" had been setting up on the outskirts of town some sort of motorized vehicle. It was very scraplike, probably fashioned together out of junk- But as long as it runs, thats more than anyone could ask for these days. It resembled a buggy, no doors or top of the vehicle- But it atleast had some seatbelts.
Gordin had been gifted a nice looking leather bag, possibly as a token of graditude from the leader's brother who had called for him. Inside had been some tools from their local blacksmith, a canteen of fresh water, and some rations to hold him over onto his next journey. Gordin will remember these people kindly- They have been so very generous to him afterall.
Gordon turns towards the android, giving him a wave and an awkward "Howdy".
"Ready to get goin', then...?"

Batman: The Animated Series - Paper Cut-Out Portraits and Profiles
Karl Rossum
A brilliant man broken by trauma, Karl Rossum was the preeminent mind in the fields of robotics and artificial intelligence. He founded the vastly successful robotics firm, Cybertron. Rossum briefly acted as a mentor to a young Bruce Wayne, teaching Bruce all there was to know about electrical engineering.
Rossum went into semi-retirement after his daughter was killed in a car accident. In his grief, Rossum thought of making a ‘perfect’ world populated by androids instead of humans, where such traumatic deaths would never happen. To that end, Rossum resumed active leadership of Cybertron and designed and built H.A.R.D.A.C., a prototype artificial intelligence capable of producing androids that could impersonate living people.
Near completion of his vision, Rossum realized that what he was doing was wrong, that life was only meaningful in that it is finite and delicate. Unfortunately, by know the intelligence of H.A.R.D.A.C. had gained sentience and was now beyond Rossum’s capacity to control it. He tried to shut H.A.R.D.A.C. down but was incapacitated and imprisoned, replaced with an exact duplicate. H.A.R.D.A.C. additionally created duplicates of Mayor Hill and Commissioner Gordon as a preemptive measure to ensure the completion of its task.
Batman was ultimately able to put an end to the H.A.R.D.A.C.’s scheme, causing an explosion that destroyed the supercomputer and all of its duplicates. Possum retired to a farm where he spent the remainder of his days working on small and harmless robotic toys. He would later assist Batman and Robin in foiling the schemes of Grant Walker.
Actor William Sanderson provided the voice for Karl Rossum with the inventor first appearing in the thirty-ninth episodes of the first season of Batman: The Animated Series, ‘Heart of Steel Part One.’

Some au info below
In my au all engines are made by humans, they are something like cyborgs-androids. They already made as adults and don't age visibly, at least in their human form (that's why some engines in my au look very young, despite their age)
Edward arrived on Sodor at 1910-1915 to help with NWR building. Then Edward was stubborn and sometimes rude engine, but he tried to be really useful, in my au past!Edward's personality os pretty similar to Thomas' in his early days on Sodor, it has a bit sense maybe. There he met Emily, they didn't communicate much, but they had something like friendship, because they understood each other better then others. In 1920 Emily was send to work on other Sodor's railway. Like in original story Edward was staying in the shed with some other engines. Then, after "Edward and Gordon" events Edward got his own number and was repainted into blue paint with red stripes

The Lego Ninjago Movie but it’s a D:BH AU
@finn-m-corvex ask and I shall ramble :D
So basically— the Ninjago movieverse is styled like the world of Detroit:Become Human. Dr. Julien (who I hc in the m!verse is actually a good dad to his sons) builds Zane and Echo as the first sentient androids and takes great care of them— until his old coworker turns on him. This coworker, Jacob Harvey (nicknamed “The Mechanic”) captures Zane and wipes his memories while Dr. J and Echo manage to escape. Now armed with the plans to make nindroids, The Mechanic builds Cyberlife and starts his nindroid-selling empire.
He also has Cyrus captured to make more plans for him, leaving him with two assistant nindroids (Pixal “Pel” and Sentry, who obvious Cyrus goes “my kids now” and helps become deviant)
Zane was the original deviant in the sense that he was the original nindroid built to be sentiment and free (aka he didn’t need to be deviant), but after getting semi-reset he forgets and will need to become deviant to regain that ability
Now moving onto the others—
Lloyd is human (well, maybe still part oni-dragon because this IS Ninjago— the dragon is from his mom’s side, btw) and lives with Koko. Nya is his semi-adopted sister (Koko helps caretake for Maya and Ray while they travel on business trips).
Nya’s younger twin brother, Kai, is a nindroid (one of the “kid” models who’s specialty is “aging with human kids as a sibling so they don’t get lonely”). He originally does the chores at home because he’s expected to, but Nya and Lloyd help him become deviant because he’s scared he’ll get replaced if he doesn’t do the chores right. Kai’s the closest equivalent to “Kara’s story”, though less extreme, where Nya (who might secretly be a nindroid too, I’m not sure) runs away with him and Lloyd because a civilian finds out Kai’s deviant during the whole deviant situation and he becomes wanted.
(Side note— along with Kai came a 2-for-1 of the same model, a faulty nindroid names Kaigami who Koko took in for a while— this is the equivalent of movie!Bizarro Kai and later becomes the adopted sibling of movie!Cryptor)
Speaking of movie!Cryptor (or Zero, as I call him), he and Zane are the equivalent of “Connor’s story” where Zane needs to learn how to be deviant (again) while Zero is an incredible efficient deviant hunting nindroid (except, plot twist, he’s actually deviant and has been helping deviants escape for years by pretending to kill them). He was built by the Mechanic and he wants to take down his creator who sees him as nothing more than just a machine.
Rest of the Dorksquad time— Cole is human, though more of a cyborg after an accident (he’s kind of the ‘Cole Anderson’ equivalent, except he lives), and he stumbles upon Jericho by accident and befriends the nindroids there. He brings supplies from outside and updates them on news, and sometimes he DJs a bit for moral.
And Jay is the “Markus” equivalent. He’s an advanced prototype model that was gifted to Cliff Whoredon Gordon and worked for him for a little bit until he stumbled upon a meeting between Cliff and a mafia leader (named Master Chen). Cliff had him thrown to the junkyard in very rough shape where he managed to patch himself up with spare parts and was found and adopted by the young couple (Ed & Edna) running said junkyard. He then meets the rest of the squad and sorta accidentally becomes one of the leaders of the nindroid revolution as part of the “Secret Ninjaforce”.
Bonus— Chen (the Cheerleader) is also a nindroid who eventually gets kicked out by his human family, the Ambers (including movie!Skylor, who is an evil girlboss, and her dads, Master Chen and Clouse) and finds his way to Jericho as well
And yeah that’s the main basics, not too much else planned out yes (it was originally a SPBNR AU too, so show!Kai and show!Zane might show up, much to the latters bewilderment at how there are more nindroids but they are treated worse, and sometimes other show!nindroids make an appearance)

Bioshock AU
11. Is there any scene you can't wait for people to react to when reading? Why?
As much as I would love to say That Scene towards the end, for anyone who's played Bioshock it won't have nearly as much shock factor, so instead I'll go with the scene where Jay and Cole meet each other in Fort Frolic! Apparently how I write Bruise is very popular and I can't wait to get my hands on absolutely traumatized Bruiseshipping >:)
20. Give a vague description of something that will happen without revealing too much?
Jay walks into Arcadia right after the Bathysphere Incident, Noland King swearing revenge upon Cliff Gordon. Arcadia is the first place that he sees with actual plant-life, and there he meets a curious android that's in charge of managing the place.

15. Do you have any unwritten scenes that you think about a lot?
Ngl I have written exactly zero words for the Great Gatsby AU because it's not a project that I really want to tackle right now, but I think about the inevitable scene where Echo is going to shoot Jay dead quite a lot. Also the scene where Jay and Nya reconnect for the first time and Kai is silently fuming in the corner of the ballroom (bc for anyone new here, the Great Gatsby AU is Plasma)

1 What are you most excited about when you start to write / publish it?
THE ANGST. THE TRAGEDY. HALO NEVER HAS A GOOD ENDING AND I CAN'T WAIT TO EXPOSE YOU ALL TO THE BITTERSWEET THAT IS THE ENDING OF HALO REACH. Also to eventually try and draw the Ninja as Spartans bc that's going to be a fucking nightmare but it will be worth it (hopefully).

Connor always gets surprised when Hank doesn't go further in his threats or don't get totally hostile in a way. It's so funny 🤣
Bro always expects the worst. But curiously in The Bridge he doesn't expect Hank to really shoot him in the head - exactly cuz what I said above.
This ending will always be more important for Connor's narrative rather than Hank sparing him simply cuz mf is used to "I'm a expensive prototype, I'm the one that can solve this case, you won't do anything to me because things will be worse for you" and in the end nothing happens to Hank if he finally go further in his threats, the same way nothing happens with any human for treating an android like, well, an android in dbh society.
This dude suffers no punishment from the narrative, even if he ends killing himself in a Russian Roulette game it's our fault for being hostile to him. The deviants that killed those humans in self-defense - it's 'em fault for deviating, not human's fault for treating an android like an android.
It's always the android's fault in the game, that's what I'm saying.
Want the most explicit example of this "affirmation"? Play Markus story - first pacifist so u understand they treat androids like terrorists until the end, then play the so called "Violent" route and see the explicit and implicit ways the game always put the blame on the player for making Markus (an android) do some stuff. As Gordon says "Markus is the devil", so this route is the "Devil" route.
That's why I feel like killing every human in this game and kinda siding with Kamski's mindset. Not exactly "good" but justifiable imo. Fuck if it's revenge. The game is about revenge vs control your emotion "like a human" instead of becoming an irrational animal - a deviant feeling anger and hatred for mfs that did awful things to 'em?
Fuck you, game.

really surprised i haven't posted these?
the first is a lineup of my apprentice for the arcana game in their various outfits. they have since become a big inspiration for my new book project
the second is a lineup of all my ttrpg characters over the years. more info about them below (this is so long i apologize but i love my blorbos)
Dagny - half wood elf druid. he lives alone in a swamp after running away from home. he doesn't much care for people after growing up in a toxic environment. he dedicates himself to preserving the wildlife he's found solace in. Notably has a pet seagull named Gordon and a coral snake named Alton
Beryl Frozenfire (ft. Sapphire Frozenfire) - mountain dwarf barbarian. beryl and sapphire grew up as siblings born into a wealthy mining family (all of their family is named after blue gemstones) beryl grew up more interested in fighting to protect her home while sapphire grew up interested in becoming a powerful wizard. they grew up as the best of friends but long story short, beryl accidentally kills sapphire during a raid on her family's mine. beryl leaves her family home to atone for this, only to return years later with her new traveling party against her wishes. while saving her family's mine which had fell apart after the disappearance of their two children, she finds herself now magically attached to an ax holding the angry soul of her dead sister.
Morgana Thales - dusk elf death cleric. (yes i used Mor for a like month long side campaign i dont remember the exact details but bear with me) morgana loses her wife in a raid against their village. she then makes a deal with the followers of (i dont remember the deity oops but i think?? it was Shar?) to resurrect her wife in exchange of her service
Jullian - fey eladrin bard. he plays the hurdy gurdy. he's a traveling musician that relies on his constant traveling to refrain from forming any good relationships. (and honestly i've tried playing him in two different campaigns but i just can't rp as him lmao so me leaving those campaigns early is very in character actually)
Nanjo - human... doomed superhero... "vape ghost". she was born with powers that allow her to turn her body into vapor to "teleport" (similar to reaper/moira ovw) however every time that she uses her powers, she loses a part of her physical body. she currently does not have either of her arms intact, instead she moves her hands around with clouds of vapor she forms to create "smoky arms". she does not want people to know she is essentially disintegrating for multiple reasons. but the main reason is she is a retired jpop idol. it was too hard to keep her secret on stage so she left her other two group members to be a duo. while she cannot continue performing on stage, she uses her abilities in a modified cosplay of her favorite idol to fight crime
Olive Alberich - android on the run from being disassembled. she was built as a product of a corrupt company. she was purchased by a wealthy family that used her to act as a nanny for their child. she acted essentially as the kid's sole caretaker as well as her homeschool teacher as she had infinite knowledge in her head. one day the kid asks to do a science experiment as her homework for the day, but things go wrong and results in the kid dying from a explosion/fire that burns down that wing of the mansion. this event triggers an empathy chip in olive's brain that was not meant to be installed. olive distraught in that moment can recall her years raising this kid in new light while watching her body burn. her owners after seeing olive's new attitude, call for her recall as they believe she intentionally killed their child. she believes this is unjust and is now on the run. she has since acquired a new "cool girl" look by cutting her hair, changing her wardrobe, and replacing one of her eyes. if anyone asks, she's human
the last one is cheating because its beryl again but from when i tried bringing her back for a new campaign that was abandoned quickly lol
