I worry a lot about a lot of things. Anxiety is often a close companion and it is easy to forget that it lies just as much as depression does. It's very easy for me to talk myself out of reaching out to friends I haven't heard from in a while because part of me worries that I'll be bothering them. It's easy to forget that they likely would just get joy out of the contact and be happy to hear from me.

I was thinking about this today because I got a DM from a friend I hadn't spoken with in a while. She wanted to share some songs with me that she'd recently discovered and thought I would love. And she was right, I did love them. There is something so incredibly powerful in feeling seen and loved. And so often all it takes is to share something with someone you love that made you think of them.

So here's a little reminder to go ahead and reach out. Tag your friends when you see stuff you think they'll love. DM, text, email, or call (depending on your tolerance for various forms of communication) them and share little moments with them. Sometimes it's those little moments that remind us we aren't as alone as we think.

PSA: tomatoes are not spicy. Tomatoes and tomato products should not be spicy. Pizza sauce isn't inherently spicy. Tomato-based pasta sauce is not spicy. Ketchup is NOT spicy.

IT'S THE TOMATOES.#tacos? too spicy even at baby heat levels. there are so many amazing and powerful benders in atla but what i love about zuko is that whether or not he can use his bending in that moment has zero (0) bearing on how much he’s going to absolutely kick your ass. no bending? that’s fine - he’s got swords. no swords or bending? that’s fine - he’s literally just going to beat you up. if you’re REALLY unlucky then you get all three. as a treat.
