ok gift giving is a big part of atsushi’s love language

this wasn’t meant to be long but-

whether its becuz the tiger’s cat-desire to hunt for the agency translated to something more human (along with cooking but my cooking atsushi headcanons will pop out sometime else) or just becuz atsushi has never been gifted anything pre-agency and to him its something very precious who knows

it’s not that he spends ages pouring over what to give the agency members (well not always) its more like if he goes to the store and sees a type of candy ranpo likes he’ll buy it for him

when atsushi’s new at wanting to give his loved ones gifts, he does over think it tho cmon its atsushi

like he’ll see a nice pen, buy it for kunikida, but then he’ll feel like its such a dumb little thing and he should’ve put more effort into a gift because of that he ends up hoarding a lot of trinkets becuz he’ll see them and buy them as presents but be too shy to give them up

(and he’ll also spend ages pouring over what the perfect present for everyone would be but always finding some fault in his ideas)

it’s not until dazai’s breaking into atsushi’s apartment to teach him the joys of stealing other people’s credit cards that he notices a neat stack of containers with atsushi’s friends and stuff’s name on it and asks atsushi about it that something ever happens

dazai: don’t tell me atsushi, you were planning on chopping us all up and storing us into these containers ? u’d need bigger ones for that by the way

atsushi, horrified: WHAT?? of course not!!! these are-

atsushi, flustered: these are just things that i dont know i bought becuz i thought you’d like them. but theyre silly so i didn’t give-

dazai, already opening his own box: ATSUSHI!

atsushi, trying to pull him away: what

dazai, pulling out a tiny void eyed black cat keychain: did you buy this for me? how did you know i wanted it?

atsushi:

atsushi: you wanted it?

dazai, lying but atsushi doesn’t need to know that: yeah i wanted something like this. how cruel atsushi, buying it and storing it away~ not giving it to me :(

atsushi, pleased and happy: do you um want to look at the other stuff ?

so essentially dazai in his own strange way of not actually addressing the problem convinces atsushi to give his silly little gifts to the agency members

(and tho he did not want anything like the keychain before, he’s quite pleased by it and all the other things that atsushi got for him)

so atsushi in a moment of joy and happiness places all the containers in front of each members door with his name signed and bolts (kyouka’s is placed near her stuff right before he leaves since he wakes up before her) (things for non-agency members like lucy are left in places where they work/hang out a lot) (fukuzawa’s in front of his office doors)

the morning at work, atsushi’s shaking with nervousness

the first one to arrive after him is kunikida (who’s usually the first to arrive)

kunikida greets atsushi politely - theres something about him that seems different, a little red on his cheeks but atsushi cant tell what; he’s too busy being relieved that kunikida isn’t upset about his gifts

when kunikida opens his book, the pen he pulls out is the one atsushi gifted him and atsushi is immediately filled with warmth and contentment (when he moves his head, atsushi notices that his hair is tied with the ribbon atsushi gave him)

kunikida doesn’t say anything but his gratitude and his appreciation for atsushi’s gifts is clear (also he may or may not ruffle atsushi’s hair more than usual that day)

after kunikida and dazai’s appreciation, atsushi is more excited about everyone’s reactions

junichiro is flustered and pleased and thanks him profusely, grinning the entire day - naomi tells him about each gift and why she likes it

kenji tries to gift him a cow which is banned from the office by kunikida - who points out that atsushi wouldn’t know what to do with it, so kenji comes back with chickens, and then after the same thing happens, gives atsushi stuff from his garden

haruno and the other staff all thank atsushi with hugs or shoulder pats

ranpo doesn’t look at atsushi as he approaches him but he’s wearing the pins atsushi bought him and the fact that he’s holding out a candy for atsushi to take is telling enough

yosano thanks him fiddling with the bracelet atsushi bought

kyouka apologizes for not giving him anything and atsushi has to explain to her that he’s just getting gifts becuz he wants to not becuz he wants them to give hm something back

fukuzawa does the old person affection thing by placing his hand on atsushi head ya know the thing

anyway

lucy is blushing when he goes down to the cafe and calls him dumb and then gives him extra cake so-

the only person who atsushi’s bought gifts for but hasn’t given them to is akutagawa

their relationship isn’t as hostile as before but atsushi doesn’t know what to do with it but he thinks theres a tiny chance that akutagawa might like them so he makes up his mind and ships them to him (he does not include a return address or his name)

akutagawa, climbing through atsushi’s window a few days later: it was you wasn’t it?

atsushi: stop climbing through my window asshole????

akutagawa, coughing and showing atsushi the black bracelet atsushi got him: answer me

atsushi, remembering the gifts, flushing: wh-what ? noooo- I uh. I mean i don’t know what you’re talking about

akutagawa: it has to be you. no one else would give me something as strange as a plastic skeleton

atsushi, weakly: it fit ur aesthetic ?

akutagawa, ‘glaring’ at him:

atsushi: ...sorry?

akutagawa, looking away, coughing, ears red: whatever. i don’t like being in debt. tell me what you want, i’ll buy it for u

atsushi: oh no no no. you don’t have to do that! honest. it was just a few silly things that reminded me of... you... r u okay ur face’s red

akutagawa, grabbing atsushi and pulling him towards the window: shut up im buying u dinner

atsushi, very confused: ok?

anyway yeah

might add a part 2 becuz i wasn’t gonna post the start of atsushi giving gifts but just him giving ppl gifts but i cant help myself

I get the worst cramps, and I think if Y/n got horrible cramps too, Flightless!Tan would be the BEST at taking care of her

not me on my period right now and having cramps as well :((( this will be totally self-indulgent btw

so reader knows when she gonna get her period in a number of ways. one, when she starts breaking out. and she is totally freaking out because she is getting that anxious feeling in her stomach from when her parents would notice this break out and comment on it not very nicely. shes afraid that tangerine will see the red spots and pimples on her face and not think of her as his "pretty girl" anymore :((( and because of this, she starts hiding away from him and trying to stay away from him until it starts to go away. so that means longer showers, sleeping in and staying in bed longer, resisting sitting in his lap and receiving cheek kisses. which does not end up going well because shes soon missing his touch.

second, when her boobs start getting sore and achy :((( she just lounges around the house in pain and all pouty, knowing whats coming in a day or two.

three, when she starts craving a bunch of food and eating whatever. and she always feels like crap after.

at first, tangerine just thinks shes gone a little back into her shell and his simply trying to distance herself because she feels like it. but one morning when he tries getting her out of bed after letting her sleep in for a little too long, he gently tries pulling the blanket of her body but stop when she starts whining and eyes start filling with tears.

"cmon, we dont wanna waste the day again, do we?" tangerine tries pulling at the blanket again but fully stops and drops his hands when she starts crying and tugging at the comforter like its her lifeline. at this, tangerine sits on her bed with a concerned look on his face.

"you have to tell me whats wrong. v' let you sleep in for more than two hours now. are you feeling sick?" tangerine tilts his head to the side to get a better look at her, gently wiping away her tears. he feels relieved when you shake your head.

"then what is it? just tell me and ill do everything i can to fix it."

at his words and calm, low voice. she leans herself into him, hiding her face in his neck to spare her the embarrassment she feels. she closes her eyes when she feels his arms wrap around her, itd been a few days since she felt it.

"got m'period." she whispers so quietly it takes tangerine a second to figure out what she says, it doesn't help that her face is shoved into the crook of his neck.

"well thats okay." he says, but is actually panicking because he hasnt gotten any feminine products for her. he mentally kicks himself for not thinking of this.

"got your sheets all dirty and gross."

"well we do have this thing called a washer and dryer, my love. it kind of cleans what needs to be cleaned," tangerine teases while rubbing comforting circles on her back, "your sheets will be just fine."

after a while, he is finally able to pull you out of bed.

"now, you go do your little morning routine, and im gonna head to the store and get you some stuff, got it?" you nod your head as he walks you to the bathroom, knowing that the first thing you like to do when you get out of bed is brush your teeth.

"okay, now is there a specific brand you prefer?"

you tell him quietly, feeling awkward because you had never had to tell someone this before. but a part of you is relieved that tangerine is not disgusted with you, but instead determined to get through this with you.

"alright, anything else you would like?"

"id like some chocolate, if its okay with you." you stare down at your feet, finding your painted toes very interesting all of a sudden.

"that more than okay with me, what else?"

tangerine writes down all the others stuff you want, and with that, he is out the door and in his car. ready to take away your pain and discomfort.

terukane analysis, and/or just random stuff, i have too many prompts in drafts but they’re too small to be their own analysies so they’re here pt. 2 💫

I already made one of these a bit ago, so if theres anything not here it’s either in that other one, or i just haven’t covered it (yet)

Item A: “I like Akane-san”

When teru says this, it comes out differently in every language. And seemingly equally ambiguous which i find interesting

for example, in the french translation of this line, teru says "I love you more than you might think akane" rather than saying “i like akane-san” and i mean having a mistranslation here is obviously something, but what he actually says is just what?

“i love you more than you might think akane” EXCUSE ME??

also not to mention “san” is gender neutral. He very well could be calling akane by his first name and them (akane & nene) misunderstanding what he said. Although he does refer to aoi as “akane-san”, the translators wouldve translated it to “aoi” instead of “akane” if he was referring to her (or not, im not completely sure on how they do the translation 😭)

Item B: queer association

(Edit: Im fucking dumb and forgot to add the panel of that one dude yelling “no i want to be his boyfriend!” But i can’t find it for the life of me so pretend its here)

not only is this one of the only canon queer characters in tbhk, (my guy only got one panel 💔) but also this associates “queerness” or wtv that means with teru

along with akane mentioning both genders being attracted to teru. Again, associating queerness with him. And you may be wondering, why is this important? well, notice how out of all of the main and/or reoccurring characters, he is one of the ONLY characters to be associated with queerness. (The only others being kou; his friends teasing him about wanting to “undress mitsuba” and akane; the whole yamabuki thing) for example, take note of how scarily popular aoi is because of her beauty, shes like a literal god, everyone loves this girl, but notice how never once has a girl ever confessed to her? actively not associating her with queerness, unlike teru.

and notice how the other characters that are associated with queerness are kou, who (its pretty much been canonized atp) has romantic feelings for his male friend mitsuba, and AKANE. The guy i swear he has a crush on like cmon now AidaIro can you be more obvious

Item C: reoccurring patterns

in tbhk, all of the confirmed/obviously implied romantic relationships between the main characters have been supernatural x human, hanako and nene, mitsuba and kou, akane and aoi, excluding only teru and aoi. But this does not exclude teru and akane, almost showing us that in the love triangle between teru, akane and aoi, it may not be revolving around which one gets with aoi, but which one gets with akane. It seems as though teru x aoi was never an option from the start.

Although teru has said he likes aoi, his actions say otherwise. for example teruaoi’s conversation in the convenience store was obviously extremely awkward, the only non-awkward part being when he helped her out of that creepy interaction with the clerk.

And the face he made when akane asked/assumed he had a crush on aoi

(Which he never definitively answered)

The point of this section was because of these reoccurring patterns we can conclude akane is the main love interest, not aoi.

Item D: their relationship

Something teru likes about akane, is how no matter what he doesn’t seem to ever give up. Which yes in some aspects this can be a bad thing, coff coff

But most times, you can kind of tell this is a big reason he likes akane, almost like a “he pushes him down, he gets back up” kind of thing, its a big part of their dynamic. If akane wasn’t like this, their dynamic would change a lot. He likes this because as stated in the spinoff, he kind of uses akane as a “stress toy” (which has obviously changed, as their relationship did when the series progresses) but he likes this because at the end of the day, akane will come back. No matter how many times he ties akane up, he returns to the student council room. No matter how many times teru pushes akane down (in this example, literally) he gets back up.

Something i like about terukane, is their relationship. The trust and motivation they give one another. For example, its shown early on Teru has disassociates himself from other people. Teru views the living as “delicate” and kind of makes it his job to protect them from supernaturals (when i say he made it his job i mean his dad did). He was raised to have a very different view towards the living vs supernaturals. Rounding this back to Terukane, teru doesn't view akane as “fragile” like other people, and I think that's something to take note of. The reason he thinks like this could definitely tie into the fact that he’s half supernatural but also he views akane in a higher regard then most people. Akane keeps up with him, teru actually acknowledges this, saying he values his intelligence and enjoys talking to him.

Its kind of been shown teru has had a hard time making friends ever since grade-school, i mean yeah he talks to people, but the only people he’s lowered his guard around has been tiara and kou (siblings), and akane. A literal supernatural (the kind of person this guy is supposed to exterminate??) Literally what makes akane so special? This guy is the most popular person in THE school, second to none, and the only person besides his family that he can let his guard around is akane? They both work in the student council, president and vice president meaning they work in extremely close quarters, everyday, giving them lots of time to talk, so its no doubt they became close, but out of everyone, teru choosing akane to put his trust in is just odd to me idk man

Item E: bringing up each other alot

in many instances, teru and akane bring eachother up when they aren’t even involved in the current situation, or unintentionally show us they think about eachother more than we think they do, a few examples:

Teru talking ab akane to his family. Call me insane but i have alot to say ab this one. This one really gets me because that would mean throughout his entire way home from school, including if he fought off supernaturals on his way back (which he seems to do pretty much everyday), from the last time he saw akane, he had to have been thinking about him the entire time. Since they are in the student council they stay together for most of the day when its not their extra/curricular classes or lunch, meaning they probably stayed together until about an hour after school ended, and according to google

School ends around 3:50 to 4pm and their after school activities last until around 6pm. In one chapter i forget which one, kou complains about his brother not being home much and whenever he is home he’s usually sleeping or too sleepy to answer him properly, (and in art of their ‘home life’ teru is always either sleeping or sleepy) because of his constant fighting with supernaturals well into the evening. Now lets assume at this point teru has left the school building, and about a few (5) minutes down the sidewalk and he runs into supernaturals, fights them off yadayadayada, at this point it’s presumably now 6:30-6:40, now lets also assume they live about a few (5) blocks away from the school, one block presumably taking 5 minutes each, times the 5 blocks they live away, taking approximately 25 minutes to half an hour to walk, plus the additional time he took to exorcise the supernaturals on his way home, which by this point we can probably assume its 7-7:20 now which is around an hour after families/people usually make dinner, we can assume he gets home at the 7-7:20 mark, sits down with tiara and kou to have dinner when this panel was shown

Meaning for an esitmated two and half, to three consecutive hours, akane was on teru’s mind. Thats a pretty long time to be thinking ab someone teru. I know what you are

(it says “Aoi is coming too.”) him blushing while talking ab his bf

akane having a literal DREAM about him. I havent had dreams with life long friends in them so to have a dream about this boy you “hate” is.. hmmm

Innermost subconscious feelings you say? okay okay so not queer at all yk so buddy so bro of them

Item F: the original plot

tbhk was originally going to be a oneshot manga featuring the love triangle between akane, lemon and aoi but later was cancelled, and in the official manga, they made lemon and akane “fall in love”

obviously as a joke but that shows AidaIro is not oblivious to the idea/premise of the two boys instead falling in love with eachother, rather than the girl, so the idea (i talked more ab in a past analysis) of teru&akane getting together rather than teru&aoi or akane&aoi getting together is ON THE TABLE

Since you liked my rambling abt my random Nimona headcanons, here's part 2

- Starting off with the queen (rip), I think her white hair is actually a wig and she has some gorgeous greying tight curls under it

- There was a thingy "the Boldheart project" which was created when Bal got accepted into the Institute's knight program. "The project" followed his progress in training to figure out if commoners were able to train as good as nobles. If he completed the course successfully, the reform would be set (sry I like talking abt fantasy politics- yea, putting responsibility on a literal child to become a figure of "equality" is... Sure a strategy)

Let's stop with the politics amirite

- Ambrosius sings in the shower. First it was like quiet humming n stuff but when him and Bal start living together this guy's shower was akin to opera (hah- soap opera- get it-)

- Ambrosius would be a type of a rich dude who fantasizes about living on his own and providing for himself and having this sweet humble suburban way of life with his husband until he actually starts living this way (he's a literal nepo baby- cmon the habits will be there even if he tries being independent)

Ambrosius: Bal, I don't get why I keep burning my bread! It's the second time I fail!

Ballister: Practice makes perfect, darling

Ambrosius: But these KitKoters make it look so easy😭😭

- He catches up gradually tho. Bal is very understanding, Nimona is having a lot of fun with this

- Does fun include bullying Ambrosius for not knowing how to remove plants to the bigger pots?. Yea kinda

- Nimona's hanging out with the kingdom's kids from time to time. She goes out of her way to make them laugh or make them feel happy in general. It heals her inner child, in a way

- Even though she hangs out with them from a perspective of a cool older shapeshifting punk sibling, she still feels like their peer and can't help but transform into her child form sometimes

- idk I think Nimona shapeshifts into a child pretty often if she feels overwhelmed or emotionally devastated or just wants to be taken care of

- Ballister does take care of her

Wow this got sad fast. Anyway

- Ambrosius is left-handed but was forced to relearn because the perfect descendant of Gloreth cannot be left-handed, it's abnormal🤓

- Ballister can't help but go 😬 when either Ambrosius or Nimona take food with their left hand while eating. Yeah technically eating with his flesh hand would be easier for him. No he won't do that for the life of him (saying hi to all Muslims out there)

- Ballister decides to grow out a real beard and Nimona thinks it's the coolest thing ever to play with during their family quality time. Ambrosius also likes this change in his looks but for rather uh... gay different reasons😁

If we're talking about gay stuff I might just as well talk abt some Goldenheart hcs

- When they've only started dating Ballister had a really difficult time with the eye contact bc Ambrosius's loving gaze was too much to handle for him. He'd see how gentle and soft his eyes are and how they're filled with complete adoration to the top and just look away all blushy and smitten

- I think we as a fandom agree that Ambrosius's love language is arm chopping physical touch. Have you considered how important kisses can be to him in expressing his love tho

- Ambrosius LOVES kissing Ballister. He's probably kissed him everywhere if you think about it-

- But yea. He steals kisses from Bal as often as he can. Boo goes to work? Kiss him goodbye. Boo gets back? Kiss him goodhi - doesn't matter where😉

- His favorite place to kiss is probably Bal's neck bc he just likes nuzzling into it and making him all flustered

- Ballister loves kissing Ambrosius as well. His favorite thing ever is press kisses into Ambrosius's hair while they're lying down on the couch, Ambrosius's head on Ballister's chest n his arms around Ballister's torso. It makes them both feel very soft and warm and safe❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹

- (teenage years) You know this type thing when kittens playfully fight each other and jump onto each other and bite and stuff? Yea that's teenage Goldenheart

- (a little older than teenage years) current sparring trend in the writer part of the fandom. That's it. You know damn well what I'm talking about

- At some point their private training sessions became the reason they succeeded in combat and got the highest of marks

Okay gay stuff is over

- Nimona has some pretty dark humor but draws the line at the things that could really trigger her or other people. Joking about burning everything down? Of course. Joking about... Well... The act 3 of the movie? Nope, never

- Nate Knight (do ya remember him?) does drag in his off-duty time haha RuPaul hi

- Ballister snores in his sleep bc he's a dad like that

- Ballister also is a type of dad to sleep on the couch while watching TV, and when you turn it off he wakes up and tells you he's been watching it this whole time

- Both Nimona and Ambrosius encourage Ballister to speak his mother tongue more often bc he used to hide it at the Institute

- Nimona scrunches her nose when she tries to remember things

- Ballister snaps his fingers while remembering stuff, especially in "Huh... What's the word for..." situations (he just like me fr)

- Nimona loves biting pencils and pens but sometimes she bites too hard and they break in half or something

- I feel like her stomach is iron. This punk can eat an eraser or swallow a knife or drink lava-hot water and all she'll do is burp maybe

- After leaving the Institute Ambrosius would have one hell of existential crisis. All he's dedicated his life to for all these years were lies and propaganda, what's the purpose of his life now? He tries out as many new things as he can - baking, painting, singing, playing musical instruments, photography, even science (with Bal's help ofc) my dude has tried it all. He sometimes felt worthless bc his life had no greater purpose but Bal and Nimona would reassure him that living happily with people who love him is more than enough and that you don't have to be the greatest person ever to live the best life. Find joy in the smallest of things n stuff😌

- Ballister has found ways to renovate his arm and made a bunch of new prosthetics for different purposes. I feel like he'd use a hook as well sometimes (as I've heard from the disabled community, hook is a very comfortable aid). No I'm not talking about that one post about his prosthetic's... renovations (😳) from the fan acc I follow

On this quite interesting note I'll end the post😁

dayves leijon: im still not 100% sure how to go about this one tbh but he does like romance in some form. also i got in in my head hes skittish. no idea where that came from. capitalizes b (glasses) and maybe something else?

jaidli ampora: oh i actually thought about this one a little! fashion is sorta fifties inspired like cronus but shes not a greaser thats his schtick. you dont steal a mans shtick. is there a c in that word or not

jaynce peixes: feels like i should work on that name huh. anyways jaynce does Not want to be the heiress (for reasons both transgender and not) at all and is in a little bit of denial about this. i lied actually a lot of denial. may or may not be moirails w jayque havent decided. replaces e and o with -E and -O forks and spoons!

roxxie zahhak: a little more into robots n shit than coding but still does that. bit of a jack of all trades! thinks deyirks lusus (its. kity) is the most special boy in the whole wide world. probably moirails w deyirk now that i think abt it but maybe not. im on the fence abt a lot of stuff here. uses some kind of prefix, emoticons have X for eyes, replaces x sounds with x, y (as a vowel) with ie, and s w z

deyirk leijon: WORLDS MOST NORMAL MAN (lying) lives in a cave in the middle of the woods not for catgirl reasons but because this guy is going insane in solitude works best when isolated. also uses some kind of prefix for a quirk. roxxie drops off robot parts at his house every few weeks and they make a day of it theyre Pals

jayque ampora: he helps feed gloybsub or whatever her name is and hes so normal about the deaths on his conscience. really hes so normal guys cmon. normal

pre scratch kids

mimi egbert: token cis friend sorry meenah. or not idc. more mellow because dad egbert is just a normal guy and isnt raising her to be the literal queen of the world. still meenah tho

hans lalonde: i am unsure about the name but i think its fine. the ultimate horse girl (therian). keeps maplehoof in the foyer. if he had to interact with his dad for more than 20 seconds they would both implode from the sheer awkwardness. the house is big as shit they just gesture to each other when they see each other and thats fine for both of them

manu strider: wears heart shades everywhere as a sort of joke. he doesnt actually know. caps lock is broken and refuses to fix it + uses kaomoji a lot. fujoshi to transmasc pipeline haha who said that

crow harley: im stilling working on which animal to furrify cronus with. watches a bunch of old movies and picked up those speaking habits. other shit pending

i can’t remember if i mentioned lupin loves puzzles. wait yes i did in the video game list SORRY I’M ALREADY HAVING TROUBLE REMEMBERING WHAT I HAVE AND HAVEN’T GONE OFF ABOUT but yes in canon lupin LOVES puzzles. less like, jigsaw puzzles, more like shapey puzzles. but hell man if you can get him to sit still long enough he might like a jigsaw one just to pass the time

i think he likes cooking. him, jigen and goemon all seem to really Get it. so count this under all of them, they just love yummy food and occasionally the process of making it too

he likes to draw :) somebody has to be behind all the slightly different variants of his little mascot guy. SOMEBODY has to redraw bank floor plans so they can plan out each tiny step of the heist. somebody has to scribble over his own wanted posters to put funny little devil horns on the image CMON now!!

only jigen could be in a fucking arcade theater complex and pull out a fucking crossword puzzle. why is this dude honestly trying to speedrun being a grouchy old man before he even turns 40. i mean no hate, no hate to crossword puzzles, they are cool but i’m more of a wordsearch guy. BUT THERE’S OTHER STUFF TO DO JIGEN!! at least he’s not going for sudoku though

very random but i think he might like sewing in a passive sense. with how particular he is about his hat and really ANY clothes on his person, he probably just picked up a needle one day to fix a tear and then was like Huh. this isn't too bad actually. kinda repetitive and calming. and then the others found out and tried to get him to fix all their stuff too SO HALF PLEASANT AND HALF NOT SO PLEASANT

okay i KNOW i’ve pushed the Arts Enjoyer goe agenda before but i recently saw that part 3 production art again of him chilling with the pottery wheel so i must state, once again, goemon LOVES sculpting shit in all forms. chip away at some rock, throw zantetsuken at a block of wood, actually invest in some clay for fucking once, whatever he uses, he’ll make something pretty good. and even if it wasn’t good it’s still a fun hobby for him. keeps his hands loose but precise

oh my god you know what he would love. dominoes. you know when people make those like crazy long domino strings that form a pattern when they’ve all fallen. if anybody here could have the precision and strangely placed patience to do shit like that it’s definitely this guy

going through this list easily and eagerly typing up little funfacts about things i do know they like outside of their. “jobs” and then slowly realizing as i get to zenigata that i... cannot think of anything he. uh. does for fun. damn. he DOES talk about movies a lil bit from time to time, and knowing his mixture of a freakish eye for detail and also missing the most obvious things ever i bet hearing him talk about a movie is twice as fun as actually watching it. i would pay HUNDREDS to hear him try to explain what he thinks of space odyssey to me

it would be-- i have no reasoning for this but it would be so cute and hilarious if he did like. tiny magic tricks. you know? like card appearing out of thin air, coin behind your ear type shit. tiny stuff he figured out on his brief off time. we know lupin can do little stuff like that too but it'd just be hilarious if zenigata, completely unawarely and unintentionally for once, ended up being better than him at some inconsequential shit like making a pair of keys disappear

I watched the second fma Netflix adaptation. Here’s the best of my notes:

They had the whole fma original soundtrack to use for this movie and tHEY DIDNT??

Conclusion: it was okay. There were parts I genuinely liked. There are things that also bug me to no end. The soundtrack from the original series would’ve fit way better and a lot of times it sounded like an off brand marvel track. Acting and cgi was a lot better (at times.) An improvement on the first one, and a semi-worthwhile watch if you have nothing else to do and you like fma. Cannot and will never be a substitute for the original obviously. Seems like less of a cash grab and more of a genuine effort this time which I appreciate. Overall? 6.5/10

Mr peabody literally deserves WAYYYY more than what he gets in the movie. Dont get me wrong, i love the “im a dog too” scene, and sherman was right (besides the “the only mistake is me”, BOY YOURE THE THING THAT MAKES HIM HAPPY, HE LOVES U SM SHUT UP), but they still treated him SO BAD.

First things first, all the bad things that happened in the movie was all PENNYS FAULT. She acted like a bitch at the start and then just like a spoiled brat right after. I can admit that she redeemed herself to a part in the final part of the movie, alright, but besides that FUCK PENNY. NEITHER HER OR HER PARENTS APOLOGIZE FOR WHAT SHE DID. (I actually dont hate her that much okay, i just hate what she did to all lf them).

Second thing is the whole plot of “independent sherman” shit. Like alright, hes seven, he can do a lot of stuff himself in that age. BUT PEABODY WAS RIGHT WITH PROTECTING HIM FROM STUFF. Like the airplane scene?? Peabody was right to be mad at sherman for trying to fly a plane that was ANCIENT, WAS A PROTOTYPE, and again SHERMAN AND PENNY WERE 7!! And let me tell you, i know its basically not shermans fault, its PENNYS FAULT AGAIN, and i can understand why he was upset that his father was upset with him but STILL. MR PEABODY WAS RIGHT.

Following to that, again. All the protecting shit was right. Sherman was a little kid and even tho hes smart, hes naive. AND SEVEN. And even if that wasnt playing a role, peabody was walking on thin ice. People wanted to take sherman away from him because “oh my god hes a dog he cant raise a boy”. And of course, irl it would be more difficult since i dont think theyd be that easy on mr. P, but ITS A MOVIE. A CARTOON. STOP BEING JUDGEMENTAL SHITHEADS. Hes a better father than some human fathers are istg.

And the last thing of course, basically the same thing as above. Some people were treating him so bad just because hes a dog. Like cmon, without him you wouldnt have world peace. (AND ZUMBA, WHO DOESNT LVOE ZUMBA??). Especially pennys parents. Or more like her father. Bettys nice, she actually talked her husband down from a lot of things. But like all peabody wanted was for penny and sherman to come home safely, but NOOO, everything went to shit and whose fault is that?? PEABODYS OF COURSE, because hes a dog and every mistake he makes is SO FATAL. Like cmon people, stop that. He just tried to fix all of it.

So in conclusion, i love mr peabody and sherman movie, and im IN LOVE WITH MR PEABODY. HES SO NICE AND HE DESERVES THE WHOLE WORLD.

"Wish me luck I guess?" You say as you walk to the door and walk out. You start your journey to the dungeons. Once you're finally down there you find Pansy and her friends hanging out in the hallway. You walk up to her. "Hey Pansy...could I talk to you for a minute?" You say giving her a soft smile. Her friends just stare at you. "Sure." "In private." you continue as you glance at her friends. "I guess.." she says as you two begin to walk down the long hallway. "So what'd you need.?" "I need to know if Draco was actually cheating on me with you. I don't want any problems but I need to know." You say pausing, you cross your arms and look at her. She looks at you with obvious guilt. "Please just tell me the truth." "Yeah..." she says quiet. "Why...? Pansy I thought we were friends?" you say furrowing your eyebrows a bit. "I just...I..." she takes a breath as she looks at the ground as you see her eyes becoming glossy. "Pansy you shouldn't be the one crying here." You say crossing your arms a little tighter. "I know- I just..." "Pansy i'm not gonna forgive you...I don't want any problems..but I don't think we can be friends anymore." You finally see the tears roll down her face.

She just stands there looking anywhere but your eyes. "Did you guys...?" You ask as you look at her with hurt eyes. She hesitates. She glances around the floor then finally looks up at you. She nods her head in a soft manner. You sigh and begin to walk away. You leave her there in tears. 'Why is she the one crying?' you think to yourself as you walk back to your dorm. Your mind races with thoughts as you go back to the Ravenclaw dormitory. You get back to your room. "Cho oh my god you won't believe this bullshit." you say as you practically slam the door shut. All her attention immediately goes to you. "Whaaat?" "First of all, they fucked! Second of all, she was crying?! She was the one crying? Like what?" Cho laughs. "You have to be joking? She was only crying not because she felt bad but because she got caught." Cho says as she lays on her bed on her stomach with her head resting on her hand as she flips through a magazine. "Ugghhh! God she's absolutely ridiculous. She was just standing there, mascara running down her face, not even looking at me? Like you have the nerve to fuck my boyfriend but not the nerve to look me in the eye?" You say scoffing. "Now that you're all worked up you should probably go confront Draco as well I mean he's the main villain here." Cho says looking up from her magazine. "You're right. He should be getting out of quidditch practice right about now. Do you wanna come with for this one? I might need a little confidence booster." as soon as you say that Cho is already getting her shoes on. "You know I do cmon!" Cho says basically pulling you out of the room. You and Cho rush down the corridors trying to get to the quidditch field before the team gets out of practice. You both finally make it just in time. A few seconds after you two get there the Slytherin team walks out of the arena. You look at Cho and she gives you a reassuring look. You then walk up to the team as they all converse while walking. "Where's Draco?" You say looking up at one of the players. "He's still in the locker room-" as he says that you and Cho both start walking to the locker room. "But you can't go in there!" the boy continues shouting but then just gives up. As you and Cho walk into the locker room you find Draco and a couple other boys along with Blaise on the other side of the locker room getting all his stuff. He doesn't see you yet though. Draco immediately focuses all his attention on you. "What are you doing here?" Draco says as he scoffs a bit. You walk up to him looking at him with a stank face. *slap!* You had slapped Draco across the face. Just then Blaise try's to go and stop you but Cho puts her hand on his chest stopping him in his tracks. "She needs to do this." she whispers slightly to him. Draco stands there with his hand on his now red face as his friends stand there in shock. "Seriously Draco? You're acting as if you didn't see that coming. I didn't do it to you earlier because I didn't wanna cause a scene, but then I realized that you deserve it. You're a pussy. You couldn't even break up with me? Ou and don't forget that you had the nerve to fuck Pansy? Yeah she told me about that. You're disgusting." You say crossing your arms looking at him practically glaring holes into his eyes. "Y/n get out of here. Okay, I cheated, whatever! Just leave! I didn't even want you in the first place anyways." You raise your eyebrows. "Oh really? You never wanted me? *you scoff* Draco if I wanted to I could humiliate you and pull up text messages that say otherwise." You say pulling out your phone, Cho laughs a bit. "Draco i'm breaking up with you and I don't wanna see your face ever again." You say as you turn around to walk away. Draco just stays silent glaring at you as you walk away with Cho. Blaise pauses for a moment then runs to grab his bag then runs back to you and Cho. "Y/n wait!" Blaise says as he catches up with you and Cho. You both turn around. "Mind if I steal her for a bit?" Blaise says to Cho. She looks at you with a small smirk. "No not at all! Have funn~" She says as she walks away.

You're then left alone with Blaise.

Watched the movie and honestly it was fine. No groundbreaking cinematic masterpiece. No disasturous dumpster fire. Just an ok movie that felt like a fanfiction from s1

Here's some more thoughts I have. There's no structure it's a little chaotic. Also spoilers (duh)

The stuff I liked:

The music was good

THE ANIMATION IS GORGEOUS. The lighting in every scene is perfect, the city actually feels populated and the colors overall are so much prettier than in the show

I loved the akuma designs

They do a good job of establishing how Marinette, in the beginning, is very anxious, affected by Chloe's bullying and how she doesn't have friends. That works better than what the show tried to establish, about how Marinette had no friends but still being popular for some reason

Alya being a good friend

The way Adrien deals with the loss of his mother and how playing the piano brings him comfort and makes him feel close to her. Imo the show went overboard with how literally everything Adrien does is dictated by his dad and never something he might genuinely enjoy doing. The fact that he had this hobby made him feel like he was more than just a sad boi

Adrien also seems to struggle with not having many friends outside Nino. Works pretty well with the characterization that he's socially awkward after being homeschooled for most of his life

Generally this Adrien has more PV vibes? I‘m digging it ngl

Marinette's dad is the best

Fu's introduction to Marinette sure was something xD

Gabriel was a good villain character. The show version is just some weird ass goof who is a huge ass to his son and everyone, yet the show wants you to feel for him without giving us a reason to care. This version actually has complexity. He’s still an ass, but now the pain over loosing Emilie feels real. You also have him hesitating to use the butterfly but ultimately spiraling completely into an actually threatening villain.

the fight scenes looked great

Marinette is still clumsy and awkward towards Adrien but without being too cringe about it and doing stupid shit. It‘s just heart eyes and day dreams and some stuttering. She‘s still nervous but I never felt like Adrien brought oit her worst side like in the show. She was simply a girl in love. This was wholesome to watch and so much better than... whatever the fuck the show did with the fucking dating trauma to use for """comedy""" bc the show runners have zero respect for her seriously I'll never get over how fucking stupid that was Marinette honey you deserve so much better

I honestly think this is a better version of the square. Still heavily flawed, but their dynamic feels so much more natural. Ladynoir stuff was sweet

The end where Marinette looses the earrings and then saves Chat without the costume was a good scene

Most of their moments were just quiet moments between just the two without any outside forces and characters constantly pushing them together. This bothers me in the show so much and is another major reason I cant get behind the ship, but for the most part the movie has some gentle pushing here and there but no convoluted and stupid cringy plans. In that regard movie love square is superior

Nino had a thing for Alya from the start pretty much, unlike in the show where he was crushing on Mari five minutes before getting with Alya. I like them in both the show and the movie, but the way they got together in the show was a little meh

Nino getting screentime in general

The stuff I don't know how to feel about:

Careless whisper. It was silly goofy but especially the second time when Paris is on fire and we skip to Adrien's room where he sulks... yeah that tome switch really threw me off

Two different voice actors for singing an talking. The difference was very jarring and while good for Bryce, Cristina has the voice of an angel like cmon I need her to do at least a cover from one song

Gabriel's redemption. Ok so I'm a little torn because the way they did it ties in very well with the the "power of love" theme that his love for Adrien makes him realize his mistakes bla bla, but he still terrorized a city and yet faces zero consequences, and Adrien forgives him, which are all thing that really rub me the wrong way. Idk the franchise is so obsessed with painting this man in a sympathetic light and in order for this to feel truly satisfying Gabriel shouldn't have tried to destroy Paris like 5 minutes earlier. I see what they went for and thematically it worked but I just need Gabriel to be put in prison

Speaking of Gabriel, the Adrien Gabe relationship isn't as abusive as in the show. This isn't good or bad, but I still think (very unpopular opinion) the show doesn't handle abuse well at all bc the only point of the abuse is pity points in oder to get the fans to care about the characters. So taking that out of the movie where you have limited time to wrap this whole thing up might've been a smart decision

With the ending they sort of hinted at a sequel

The cut off kiss at the end. They still act like a love square kiss is something sacred that they can‘t just give their fans. Commit to it already

The stuff I didn't like:

The dialogue was… something. Marinette just asking her mom over breakfast how to make her dreams come true. Babe just just woke up, that deep convos are for late nights

Generally the dialogue in both the movie and the show is a little weird

Lika Alya‘s „people try really hard to fail as hard as you“ Marinette spilled some coffee it‘s not that hard

Even though I liked the portrayel of Marinette‘s anxiety, at times the went overboard with it

Going back to the Gabriel redemption, just let Adrien have negative feeling about Gabriel already. The s5 finale have him idolize him and here he just instantly forgives and forget

So the butterfly is a villainous tool by default? They could've fixed their messy lore but noooo

The scene where Marinette gets her miraculous feels rushed.

The way Adrien receives his miraculous. He was chilling in his room and suddenly a black cat shows up. He doesn't even have to proove himself like Mari when she almost got hit by a truck. The moment in the show was already weak but this is just fucking stupid

the first akuma was just some random dude. They should've used someone the main duo has a connection to

Chat being a lil bitch about Ladybug rejecting him. Hated it in the show, hate it here. They could've used the movie to fix Adrien and they didn't. Other than that being a dick move as so many people have explained millions of times now, I find this such a boring source of conflict for the climax of the movie? They worked well before and they both know they care for each other as partners and even if being rejected hurts, Chat acts like LB just threw their friendship away or something with how strongly he reacts to it. In the show it felt blown out of proportion and it does here as well. I think they should've had a different kind of conflict which actively hurt their partnership or Chat stops treating LB unfairly just because to her he‘s not a romantic partner.

The fart jokes. Though tbf this is a kids movie

The way Marinette falls for Adrien was extremely underwhelming. Adrien smiles at her and helps her get up and then just walks out of the library all like „she‘s so weird“. Could‘ve been fixed if he and Mari stayed in the library and had a little conversation

Also Adrien‘s introduction in general? He just chills in the library and… yeah that‘s it. I blame this on the writers of the movie cutting character introductions short because they assume the audience already knows the characters and therefore doesn‘t have to introduce them. I don‘t think that was a good choice

The Adrienette stuff was just a montage. Would've been nice to actually see them connect (though that was probably a time issue)

Also they didn't give any spotlight to Marinette's good qualities like selflessness and intelligence. Would've been nice to see her be more willing to be there for people and help them out with things as a result of her gaining more confidence

Seriously the montage was a big mistake and takes away a lot from what could've made the movie stand out

The reveal felt a lot like Adrien only loving Marinette because she's LB, which was a big reason for me to not ship Adrienette prior to the flip (not that I did after). Something like this would‘ve been believable in a setting where they didn‘t know each other as civilians I guess, but that doesn‘t work for the square. Had they actually shown Adrienette develop outside of a montage this would'be been way more believable and touching.

I think a reverse love square from the beginning would've worked better here, or they should've made the Ladynoir side canon

Adrien tells Marinette about his dead mom. Chat noir tells Ladybug about his dead mom. How does she not make the connection?

The "power of love" theme fell flat with Marinette. she doesn't have her moment of "oh I have to protect the people I love" like Tikki's dialogue suggests. There were multiple people at the theme park she could've spotted being in danger and that should've made her want to save them. Tom being there was literally the perfect set-up. The show does this with Alya being trapped under a car or something and Marinette seeing her

I also think the jump from anxious Mari to brave Mari didn't work. In both the show and the movie it just feels like she just decides to be confident now without really getting there through hard work. The motivation was there in the show (see previous point) but in both instances it just happened too fast. Let Marinette have time to really adjust to her new role

This would've worked if the movie didn't try to keep the show's formula of "villain of the week". Why are we getting a montage about that when there's already a whole ass show with five seasons where we already see that? This montage took up time that could've been used more effectively. The movie should've tried to be more of it's own thing, really shoud've tried to flesh out the characters more in a way the show doesn't. They didn't need LB and CN immediately competent and loved by the public after the theme park fiasco. Just use the run time of the movie to get adjusted to fighting crime on a weekly basis, have them fail to then fix their mistakes and learn from them. Why not do a training montage with the point of becoming better instead of flirting? The movie tries too hard to keep up the show formula and it takes away the quality the story could've had

Also in Marinette's case it felt like the only "power of love" that mattered was her partnership with Chat. Her family and friends weren't completely unimportant but definetely underutilized in that regard. Romantic love is not the only important love you know

Their powers of cataclysm and miraculous ladybug only came in at the very end. The built up could've worked if they spent more time showing how they become good and experienced heroes over time

Generally the climax was underwhelming. Gabriel learns Chat‘s identity and the damage is made undone like 10 seconds later

Adrien being like "yeah I didn't really get close to people after my mom died" what's with the Nino erasure smh

Luka wasn't important

Kagami wasn't even there

I think the end scene hinted at the sentimonster stuff and I wished they would've just not include that

Final thoughts

There are things the movie did better than the show and some things it didn't. They don't waste much time on establishing who the characters are because they expect viewers to already know that from watching the show. But like the show, they fail to use the concepts they've set up in an effective way. The movie not only tries to stay true to the show but is almost dependent on the audience knowing the series.

But yeah, the movie atmosphere was nice. Nothing extraordinary but also not super bad. It had s1 vibes and despite the problems I listed, I had a good time for the most part. Not a must watch but still fine

It's so upsetting seeing people go "bro why you mad at shiver? Stop being mad at her, she's a fictional character"

When in reality is more than just that

First of, the people that say that are usually shiver and I'm pretty sure that if they were in the loosing streak that we are in they'd be all up and hands about it

Secondly, it is so much more than that

I've been seeing shiver fans complaining about things THEY have been doing ever single splatfest that we have been complaining about for centuries now! And when they get a taste of their own medicine, they keep going "chill out, its just a game"

Like bruh????

Like you haven't been insulting us every single splatfest???? And we are tired of this for good reason, we aren't just salty, you guys are mean!

I've had anonymous people come at me at some point and I turned it off before it got as bad as I've seen others get it

And sure, we on the other side get a little too mean, I've seen that and dont condone it, but come on, to be acting like it came out of nowhere and that we are just salty we lost?

Everytime shiver wins, its a complete mess of shiver fans calling us mean names and saying they're justified because they're the best

There is a reason why Big Man and Frye fans have a better time together

And lastly, we aren't, for the most part, mad at Shiver, we are mad at her fans, we are upset at the people representing her

Tho, on that note, a little PSA to Big Mannies and Fryers, stop mischaractising Shiver, she is not her fans, i hate OOC stuff in general and even though she's not my fave, she is not as mean as her fans, as many say, "Shiver won't sleep with you"

Shiver fans are diving people, we wouldn't be this upset if they didn't instigate it, sure some would still be, but all my friends, many people here on tumblr and others have noticed the hostility of shiver fans, even my friends who like shiver and go to her team notice how hostile the environment is!

So take your own fucking advice and chill the fuck out, it isn't us who needs to be hearing that

That aside

I haven't played tri color yet cuz we are preparing to receive a guest in 2 days, I will once I arrive home, but from what I've seen.... eesh, I'm kinda worried about yall😬

But it seems to still be going mostly fine, I'm actually excited to be fighting with big man, I haven't had many, if any, bad experiences with them!

One Last thing though, altho I understand the anger, fire with fire won't do anything but create more fire, don't give them a reason to spew more hate, I don't condone harassment, don't stoop to their level

If you still want them to loose, one thing I'd recommend is that is none violent, is if you're on the attacking team with them, be hands off for the most part and let the defender team take the lead, you don't attack the other team but don't help out either

DON'T FUCKING SPAWN CAMP THEM! I am 100% against spawn campers no matter the team, I have been vocal about it since the start! And I'm not going to make exceptions because it's my team or the team willing to help us out and i won't defend that just because we all agree to rise up against shiver, yes i agree that we need to band together against shiver, but what the actual hell has some of these videos I've seen be?!!?

All I wanted to say was that, I understand the anger towards shiver fans after how they've been treating us for a year now and I agree we should band together against them and I wish they'd understand our side, but let's not become them, a little taste of their medicine is fine but cmon man, some of these have just been sad kfjsjajq

I smiled as Drew laced our fingers together, giving me hand a firm but affectionate squeeze.

With that simple gesture, I felt my body and mind relax enough to finally speak up.

''Um.. See.. I wanted to talk to you about something. Something I think I wanna try..'' I started.

Drew lightly itched at his beard, focusing his blue eyes on me.

''Kink related?''He asked.

Fake kidnappings, fake robberies... like I said, it can get as simple or as extreme as you want. Fear or knife play isn't something that's necessarily comfortable but, if you trust each other enough it can honestly be really fun and an adrenaline rush. ''

Drew stayed silent while I processed what he just said.

After a few seconds of silence, I finally spoke.

''When... when you say props, what does that mean?'' I cleared my throat, mentally chastising myself as my voice quivered.

The Scotsman rubbed at his beard as he answered my question.

''Well.. When it comes to fear and knife play, you don't necessarily have to use actual knives or anything like that in order to create the illusion and the fear that comes with it. You can use anything.. A piece of paper against the skin, a credit card.. Anything.''

Feeling a sudden wave of bravery, I met my boyfriend's eyes.

''….Show me.''

At first Drew just stared at me, unsure if I was serious or not.

But the more he looked into my eyes, the more he realized that I needed this.

Taking out one of his credit cards from his wallet, he suggested I close my eyes.

''It just heightens the experience and the illusion... Do you trust me?'' he asked me as he twirled the silver card in his hand.

For a few seconds, he didn't get an answer and he was ready to scrap the whole thing, until I gave him the answer he needed.

''Yes.''

Drew rolled his neck once my eyes were closed, and he let the bottom of the card lightly graze my shoulder, down to my elbow.

Hearing my shaky breaths, he leaned in closer to whisper in my ear.

He could sense my fear and arousal building the more he spoke.

''You shouldn't have closed your eyes, love..'' He drawled in my ear, continuing to drag the silver card along my skin.

He watched goosebumps start to form on my arm, and he felt his cock stir in his jeans, but he ignored it.

He quickly released his grip, calmly placing the card back into his wallet.

As soon as I broke down in sobs, he wrapped his arms around me, murmuring sweetly into my ear.

Slowly, I extricated myself from his arms to look into his eyes.

One week later I found myself silently moving through our pitch black home.

This was what Drew and I had decided upon after our conversation the week before.

''Stop. Screaming.'' He said gruffly, gripping the handle of the blade tightly as my screams came out muffled against his hand until they were replaced by harsh breathing through my nose.

''Nobody can hear you anyway... you should really lock your doors. Especially while you're out... any crazed lunatic could just waltz right in and... take whatever he wanted.'' He chuckled darkly, the sound making my panties dampen despite the hard pounding of my heart.

Steeling myself, I drove my elbow straight into his gut, my fight or flight responses kicking into full gear.

And then the chase around the house started up again once he gathered up his wits.

All of a sudden, my body was pressed against the wall of the dark hallway, my chest heaving as I struggled to make out his features in the dark due to my agitated state.

Due to his groans of pain from just a few seconds ago, my brain finally recognized his voice and I let myself slip further into the scene- reminding myself that he could be trusted, but also that the weapon he wielded in his hand could do some serious damage if things got even more intense.

The further I slipped and gave into my fear, tears filled my eyes and soon spilled down my cheeks.

''Aw, are you crying?'' Drew cooed, his voice coated in slight amusement at the sound of my whimpers.

Listening to the growl in his voice, I knew he was getting off on this- on this exchange of power, as much as I was.

''Thought you were gonna get away, did ya?'' He quipped, chuckling softly as he slowly dragged the blade against the exposed skin of my stomach peeking from the hem of my shirt.

Testing my resolve, he swiped the blade against my stomach slowly, his nostrils flaring as the metallic scent of her blood filled his senses now.

''Aren't you just kicking yourself now? Such a careless, dim-witted little lamb... now I get to stay here all night and just.. Have my way with you. And you can scream and cry all ya want- actually now that I think about it, please do. It'll make this even easier for me.'' He drawled, grinding his hardened and clothed cock against me, his voice filled with lust.

His movements were halted by the sound of my angry and scared voice.

''Fuck. You.'' I spat at him.

In a flash, I bit down into his wrist making him howl in pain once again, effectively causing him to let me go and I foolishly opted to lock myself in our shared bedroom.

From under the bed, I could see his shoes as he began to slowly search the room, clearly enjoying this dangerous cat and mouse that they were playing.

I could almost hear the sick smirk playing on his lips as he spoke, now flicking the light switch on.

''That's better..'' Once he meticulously searched the closet and bathroom, he came back toward the bed.

Another scream was ripped from my throat when I felt his firm grip around my ankle.

I sobbed as I was swiftly dragged out from underneath the bed and my tear-filled eyes focused on the large frame of my boyfriend hovering over me with a calculating look in his eye.

Those are given out by the king who was instructed by a war general. The symbols and scribes on the buttons all mean different things. Hell even the metal and stones on em mean different things. But all that stuffs too complicated. I DO however, have a few of those that the king gave me for some of my bigger gigs. Like I got one for bravery and cunning when instead of killing a dragon I made a deal with it that it was keen on keeping. Thus ensuring safety for trade routes between ours and the kingdom to the west of us.” She replies.

“Its not anything I really value, id rather have just had a choice of shiny things from a more fancy shop as thanks. But the ranking and medals are important to him so I have it at home when I need it.” She shrugs and kicks back on her staff, floating to his eye level to keep the conversation.

As much as I HATE Raven, I do think that the second she felt her connection to Yang come back, she was there, breaking her "one save" rule. Maybe we'll see her try to make amends if/when V10 is made. Also really want to see Ruby going off on her because SHE KNOWS WHERE SUMMER WENT THAT NIGHT!

Where's anyone from Menagerie? Blake's parents? Illia? The faction of the White Fang that follows Ghira?

I know a lot of it is gonna be different in V10, but I'm sure the key points (them talking to the grave, Vale being gone, etc) will still be there.

I'm holding out hope and RWBY Beyond is also really doing a great job at telling more of the story. It really feels like Monty's saying of "Keep Moving Forward" is what's at the forefront of everyone's mind and I love that.

CoD Short story; Café AU AleRudy Part 3

All the way to Rudy's apartment Alejandro was nervous.

Way more nervous than he should've been.

He was going to the apartment of his childhood friend, something he'd already done so many times, why did this time feel different? Why couldn't his heart stop beating this fast? Why were his hands sweaty? Alejandro decided it was just because he hadn't seen the other in such a long time.

»Was really lucky with this one. Allowed pets.« Alejandro almost didn't catch Rudy's words – he had been lost in thought while the other unlocked the door to the building. »So you've got a dog now?« Ale asked, knowing that Rudy had always loved dogs. »A cat. Actually.« The other answered, a certain sound to his voice that Alejandro hated to hear. »Thought you wanted dogs?« The taller wondered, determined to get an answer. »My uh.. roommate.. didn't approve.« The answer didn't satisfy Alejandro. It made sense that Rudy shared his flat – his job probably didn't pay enough for him to keep this apartment himself Alejandro noted, as they went through the building. »Roommate? Cmon Rudy, I'm your best friend! I feel like I don't even know you anymore.« He teased. »Yeah well things change Alejandro.« Rodolfo claimed, his voice a lot colder and more distant than moments before. Alejandro decided to drop the matter.

»Back home.« Rudy yelled once he opened the door to his apartment. Alejandro could hear a loud meow from another room – apparently his best friends cat was talkative. »Welcome back dear!« A female voice answered in a slight sing-sang. »Told you to stop calling me that.« Alejandro could almost feel the air chill.

He didn't know what was going on, but he immediately disliked whoever Rudy's roommate was.

»Yeah yeah whatever. So did you meet that guy or no?« The woman asked, her tone rather annoyed. »That guy is my best friend. I brought him here. Be nice.« Rudy's face didn't light up one bit during the whole conversation. It was almost like he didn't even want her to be his roommate – which now was obvious for Alejandro. She didn't even allow Rudy to get a dog, she called him things he didn't want to be called. Rudy probably only loved with her because of the rent.

They didn't hear much of Rudy's roommate afterwards. The two went straight to Rudy's room and not even her name was ever mentioned. Rodolfo didn't like talking about – or with – her, Alejandro wouldn't pressure him into it. Actually, Alejandro forget about her pretty fast. Just listening to his best friend talk was the only thing he wanted to do right now. »So now I kinda.. own some things.« Rudy finished his part of catching up. »What things?« Alejandro tried to make him talk More, which just got him a chuckle from Rudy. »Your storied first. Maybe then I'll tell you.« Alejandro groaned, rolling his eyes at how his friend hadn't changed a bit. »Has always been the same, I get up, go work, hang out in the park. Oh, I started painting a bit, I suck though. And I made some friends, obviously.« »The guy from the café? Soap?« Rudy interrupted with his question. »Yeah, Soap. He's one of my new friends. He's a good guy, but way too unorganized.« Alejandro laughed at his memories of Soap fucking stuff up. »He and that scary voice guy are a thing, no?« Rudy's second question threw Ale off guard. »What?« He looked at his friend, puzzled. »They aren't a couple? Must've just been me thinking they had chemistry then.« He shrugged, obviously not realising just how much his question just cleared up for Alejandro. At least he now knew what Gaz and Prices bet was about.

»Anyway, time to answer my question Rudy.« Alejandro teased, lightly nudging Rudy's leg.

»I own.. well a small company and a few shops.«

Alejandro stared at him in shock. He could see in Rudy's face that he wasn't Joking, not that he thought his best friend would joke about stuff like that. But now Rudy's face was stone cold serious, almost like when he had commanded others back in the military. »Holy shit. That's cool.« Alejandro just managed to bring out. He didn't know what else to say.

»And my roommate.. she's kinda.. the co-owner.« Rudy looked away, Alejandro didn't understand if it was from embarrassment or because he didn't want to talk about it. »That hag? You're kidding.« He couldn't explain how baffled he felt. »That hag expects me to fall for her so she can own everything. Why do you think she allowed me to live?« It felt like Alejandro's world just fell apart. Rudy owned a company – half a company – and lived with someone that tried her best to make him fall for her. The apartment they sat in wasn't even his. Alejandro felt more than bad for his best friend. »Why though?« He the questioned. »The company was my idea but she built it up. Now she wants it all but she can't because it was my idea, she can't just take that away.« Alejandro needed to reset his brain. This was definitely not what he imagined to happen once he spent a full day with his best friend again. This was far from it.

»What if you come live with me?«

Alejandro spoke before he could think. He didn't immediately regret it, but something still told him he shouldn't have said anything. »I can't ask that if you Jandro–« A quick and soft hit against his head made Rudy shut up. »I'm offering. You're not asking for anything, I'm trying to help my best friend here.«

On his way back home Alejandro thought about what the fuck just happened. He and Rudy and started making plans for how to get Rudy's stuff over to Ale's apartment without the 'hag' noticing. Honestly it was all so confusing, had happened way too fast.

And Alejandro now needed to clean out the second Bedroom his apartment had – even though over the years he had put everything he didn't need anymore in there. Safe to say that wouldn't be a too satisfying task.

Okay okay I actually got to write this one over the course of the whole day so this is what y'all get now

Hopefully tomorrow I'll get to write part 4 of this AU and then part 5 of the GhostSoap Story!
