i was so excited to have misha back on my screen with a new show but now having watched the pilot the prominent emotion I'm feeling is sadness because it made me realise how much I miss Cas. And I know this is unfair, Misha is a great actor and deserves to be in variety of things to show off his skills and have fun but I still miss Cas :(

Island: a piece of land surrounded by water; a thing resembling an island, especially in being isolated, detached, or surrounded in some way; a freestanding kitchen cupboard unit with a countertop, allowing access from all sides; (anatomy) a detached portion of tissue or group of cells
#this prompt strikes me as something along the lines of an 'island' (in the sense of its first definition) being abandoned for some reason#whether its because it has lost its original use or purpose (i.e. alcatraz in a sense)#or its because of something toxic or harmful (i.e. areas of japan in the aftermath of the fukushima meltdown)#but i think im going to write about something in that vein#and im looking forward to it#thanks for reading#writing#writer#creative writing#writing prompt#writeblr#trying to be a writeblr at least

i'm being soooo productive this weekend
i'm just gonna list some things cause i feel really great about all this.
got groceries
got gas for car
got cat food
went to the dispensary
remembered to get thread from craft store
+ acetone from home improvement store
dishes done
laundry done
all homework for the week done (except one thing that the prof hasn't published yet)
made playlist for my dad
hemmed by gi by hand + sewed on studio patch
removed any peeling stickers from my car and put new ones on
had a very successful radio show
rolled joints for the next few weeks and cleaned my grinder
cleaned my kitchen
did a very thorough brushing of my cat + trimmed her nails
cut and painted my own nails
played 3 games of chess
got some stuff done for work
like hello??? am i actually improving???
#ive been working very very hard these past few weeks to improve my mental health#and its been SO FUCKING HARD#but i feel like i'm actually getting somewhere??? like i got all this shit done but also had some time to relax#and its only 4pm sunday. im probably going to work more this evening to get ahead#oh and i scheduled a movie night for tomorrow which was exciting#and im looking forward to it#anyway. ive been very productive this weekend and im just like... wow i think my hard work is starting to pay off#which feels great#tree talks

Homestuck Book Club! (a Discord server)
Have you wanted to read this Homestuck thing for a while now, but the process seems too daunting? Do you want an excuse to re-read your favorite 2010s webcomic, but you're worried you'll have nobody to talk to about it because it's 2024? Maybe you're looking for a community of like-minded folks with a consistent weekly online meeting schedule to fill out your social calendar?
HAVE I GOT A DEAL FOR YOU!!
I have gone to the trouble of breaking up Homestuck into 52 manageable, (very) approximately equal sections, one per week for the next year, culminating on April 13th, 2025!
In Homestuck Book Club, we'll be meeting every Sunday in voice chat at 12pm (CST) to discuss a weeks worth of Homestuck at a time! New readers and longtime fans alike are welcome to join up and experience the comic together as a community.
There are channels specifically for new readers who want to avoid spoilers, as well as a zone for Homestuck veterans to spoil it up with impunity.
And for 4/13, (again, 12pm CST) I'll be holding a special intro meeting for folks to say hi and play some games! (Jackbox, Gartic Phone.... Dare I say..... Amogus????)
