theres a Standard tournament at my lgs in march and i dont think i will win (i know there's one guy who always wins every tournament they have, so if he plays standard, he'll probably win) but oouuugghh i want to!!!!! i built a mock up of my planned deck in Arena and ive been doing pretty well with it on there
i ordered a bunch of the singles i need for it, but cardkingdom didnt have everything i wanted, so my paper deck might be a little different than the Arena one. maybe better?? thatd be cool
but im especially excited because its very. my orzhov bullshit. obviously its Amalia based because she is my GIRL. and because lifegain is fun :3

Mending a Family 25/?

Jason finds a new hobby; Jazz starts thinking about her future. Danny isn't completely miserable at school.
Danny didn’t want to admit it, but he was having fun at school.
Three weeks after starting school, Danny had settled in.
He had made a small group of friends. They could never replace Sam and Tucker, but they were fun. His dad had been right. (Not that he would ever tell him that.) Even if the courses were a bit boring sometimes, being around people his age was nice.
Still, he didn’t want to admit it out loud.
It helped that the school he was enrolled in taught differently to the American education system. Plus, he was learning French.
The school had a more hands-on approach to learning. He built machines and diagrams. Reading out loud could have been more exciting, even if they read at a more advanced level. During those times, he usually zoned out.
Danny found out he loved to draw. The most he had drawn back at his home dimension had been basic things or schematics of his inventions once he was older. Here, the school took time to get the kids engaged. They put different things in front of the kids and even let the children model for their classmates if they didn’t like drawing.
Right now, the teacher was teaching them how to make bracelets. It was nice to do things with his hands.
So, yeah, maybe his dad and Jazz had had a point, and school was good for Danny. That doesn’t mean he would tell them.

Jason had been bored during the day for the last three weeks.
Ever since Danny had started school, Jason had more time in his hands than before. In Gotham, he slept during the day after a long night of patrol, ruling his criminal empire and giving out necessities to the children and homeless in his territory.
Now, he would wake up, take Danny to school, and teach Jazz defensive moves and how to use knives and guns. That only lasted three hours. By ten o’clock, he was done and bored. Jazz refused to let him take care of Ellie the whole day.
“Go out, Jason. Find something to do, and stop trying to take my baby from me.”
So, here he was, walking around the little village.
That’s where he saw her, a 1967 red Mustang. The car had seen better days, but Jason could tell if he put in the time and effort, he could restore her. He jogged up to the little auto shop.
An older man was sitting on a rocking chair and chewing tobacco. His teeth were yellow, and he had wispy white hair. The wrinkles left deep trenches on his face. He smelled of car oil and tobacco.
“How much for the Mustang?”
The older man looked at Jason and spat the tobacco into a bucket. His greasy shirt read Hank.
“You sure you want that old junk, son? It hasn’t been used since 1986 and has been rotting on this parking lot since.”
“Yeah, I want it. How much?”
“Y’know, having someone fix her will cost a lot, right?”
“I know how to fix cars. I can have it hauled to my place and start fixing her there.”
Jason could go to old junkyards to find parts. He’d have to buy equipment, too; he didn’t have any at home. It’s not as if he didn’t have the money for such a project. He was actually getting excited at the thought of fixing the old car.
“If you’re sure, I’ll leave it at $600.”
“Deal,” Jason said.
Jason paid for the car with his card and waited for Hank to give him the keys. He looked in the car and was surprised to see it still had its original seats. Leather seats, too. As expected, it didn’t turn on. Jason saw that the engine was rusted.
Hmm, he would have to take it out and see if there were any salvageable parts. Now, to figure out how to get it home.
Jason turned toward the older man and noticed he had a nice array of tools and two lifters. An idea started forming.
“Are you willing to rent me a space so I can fix the car here? I don’t know how long it’ll take me to get the car moving, but I’m more than willing to pay.”
The man was chewing on more tobacco. Jason started fidgeting the longer Hank stayed silent.
“I wouldn’t use it when you need the lifters, and I’d still pay for a daily fee. I’d keep the car in the same parking space you’ve had it in.”
Hank spit out the tobacco and took out some more, “Sure, why not? Let’s talk price, kid.”
Jason smiled. He had found something to do.
Danny could tell his dad was happy when he picked him up from school.
“How was class today, chum?”
“It was nice, I guess. I painted some fruit and learned how the weather is predicted for the week. We even built our modal of a weather balloon.”
“That’s nice,” Jason said. “Anything else?”
“We started a new book. Charlotte’s Web. It’s not the worst.”
“Oh, I loved that book when I was younger.”
“Hmm,” Danny hummed, “What did you do, daddy?”
“I bought an old car that I decided to fix up. The man I bought it from has an auto shop and is letting me fix it up there. Maybe, if you’re interested, we can go on the weekends, and you can help me.”
Danny thought about it. He remembered all the times he helped Jack with inventions. He missed building things. This would be different, though. He wouldn’t be building weapons that could kill a race of beings. He would just be helping his dad rebuild a car. It was a normal father-son activity.
“I would like that,” Danny said, “I would like that a lot.”

After Jason left, Jazz started thinking.
In a few years, Ellie would start school, too. She wouldn’t have much to do with Ellie gone.
Jazz used to have dreams. She wanted to go to an Ivy School and study psychology. Those dreams had been dashed when the Fentons attacked her younger brother. Suddenly, she was responsible for a de-aged Danny and Ellie. She was glad for Jason’s help, but her whole world had become the children.
Jazz put Ellie down for a nap. She took that opportunity to look into online classes. After all, just like Jazz had been pushing Jason to do things for himself, she had to think about her mental health and find ways to stimulate her mind.
She’d bring it up with Jason to see what he thought.
She spent the rest of the day looking into online school programs. After all, she deserved to do things for herself every once in a while.
The elder Nightingales are finding things to do for themselves, yay! Anyway, I hope you like this chapter.
So I no longer have Covid 😃 but that also means I'm going back to work and won't be able to update as much as I had the past few days. Sorry about that. I will try to update one of my fics at least twice a week. No promises, though.

I have seen this fucking trend of gamerbros bitching about game length. I mean, we all know they're talking about their dicks, but hey, we'll take it at face value. They're now bitching that some games are too short.
Hilariously, not 10 years ago people were bitching games were too long. Funny.
Look, if a game costs $20 - $25 dollars, and I get at least a movie's worth of hours out of it, then I feel like I got my money's worth.
Small studios produce some amazing fucking games, and sometimes the stories don't need 80 hours to tell. There are any number of ways to find out how long a game is. FUCKING LOOK IT UP BEFORE YOU BUY, YA DICKS.
Gods, gamerbros always look for something to bitch about, and I have yet to figure out how they still think they have power. What kills me even more is these are the same fuckers who like to pull the victim card like "I was bullied in school, so now I will act like a serial killer and dox you which gives me the power now!" This is not fucking Grayskull, and you aren't He-Man, and frankly, he would be disappointed in your incel ass anyway.
ANYWAY
We live in the age of fucking information and there is zero reason to bitch when you can look it up!

And, guess what? Sometimes, you can get a game like Hades that's only $25 and get a shitload of hours out of it because for every death you get another part of the story. And, there is more than one story to tell on top of that!
Look, I played three games this week. Two took me about 3 hours each. One took me about 7. And, each were $20. And, you know what? They were gorgeous, fun, and at least one made me cry because it was so fucking touching. (The Spirit and the Mouse, y'all. Y'ALL!)
I saw one of my favorite youtubers talking about this dickhole who was giving a game shit for being too short. It's $20. My dude, if you enjoyed it and would play it again just for the joy of playing it. If you got the cost of a movie ticket with snacks worth, YOU GOT YOUR MONEY'S WORTH.
Look, I love me some long ass games. I loooooove my RPGs, my story rich adventures, my sandboxes. I'll paid $60 no problem for Falloout 4, Witcher 3, Skyrim, Elden Ring, etc.! (Fuck that $70 bullshit. I refuse to pay $70 for AAA games because they are only trying to charge that because they can. They literally are not paying the people who make those games more. They are only paying CEOs more. I'll steal a fucking game before I pay $70 to a fucking AAA studio.) But, sometimes, sometimes, those little bite-sized games are just what you need at that moment.
I've played some small studio $20 games that take HOURS to complete. (Fucking hell, Stardew Valley, Dinkum, and Vampire Survivors are all made by ONE PERSON EACH, have ridiculous amounts of hours, and are stupid cheap for the gameplay.) I've also played some of the same price I finished in like 4 hours. Now, I've played games that are like an hour, and those...I wouldn't pay $20 for. That seems a little much to ask, but frankly, the ones that I can finish in that short a time are usually free or like $5. Fuck, I spend more than that at a fast food joint just because I don't wanna cook.
If you're buying from a small studio, don't bitch about the cost. I can't count the times I've read "why is it small studios can make twice the quality for half the cost?" That's because they aren't paying fucking CEOs and shareholders. Those small studios and solo devs are literally charging what it takes for them to pay to live while they make the games and recoup overhead like the equipment to make said games you love upon. Because, guess what, dear assholes who bitch, PEOPLE'S TIME ARE AN ACTUAL COMMODITY. Artists deserve to be paid for their time. Games are art.
Not to say I'm against being concerned about the amount of hours you get out of a game. Shit, sometimes, you have a little extra money, and want a nice game for a distraction from all the horrible shit going on in the world, and sometimes you want more than a couple of hours. You can go to howlongtobeat.com. That gives you a pretty good idea. But, it's not the end all be all, because, like, I'm slow when I play because I like to take my time or I might play while I'm doing other things because ADHD. It's all depending on your personal gameplay style. So, be sure to check what actual players are saying. (One dick on the game forum was like "Lost in Play is only like 1.5 hours and they charged $20?!" Um...yo, asshole, for a normal player it's more like 5 hours. So, fuck you.)
So, yeah, $20 is not too much to pay for a game that is complete, fun, scratches your particular gaming itch, and possibly has more emotion and style than any AAA company could produce.
And, hey, if you have a PC, Steam has massive sales, the biggest being Summer and Winter. Those $20 games that can give you hours of joy can be as cheap as $5. So, honestly, stop bitching.

2019. It was a daytrip with a few friends, and for the most part we had just sat by the sand and then taken dips in the water whenever we felt like it. We went when there was supposed to be a typhoon entering the city so the resort was literally empty. Anyway, it was a spur-of-the-moment thing that would’ve been such a fun and wholesome memory in my head if not for the fact that my ex tagged along for that trip.
2 - When was the last time you updated your profile picture somewhere? What is your current photo of?
A week or so ago, I think? I had had a few drinks and tipsy-me changed my profile photo to something goofy; by the time I woke up the next day I just changed it right back to the profile picture I had before the change.
3 - Who was the last person you spoke to online? How do you know this person?
Someone from HR since I did a minor booboo on the website where we have to clock in and out, and I was asking how I could help fix it.
4 - When was the last time you got a blister on your foot?
A fewwww months ago, I wanna say? I remember struggling when I recently bought a pair of adidas sneakers.

I only ever take painkillers for my headaches. Yeah, they always work.

Ooh idk. I enjoy each of them for different reasons, but I guess I’ll go with Facebook since I never run out of funny content/memes over there. TikTok I like too but then again all the TikTok clips I run into are on Facebook anyway.

If we’re going from a nearly-empty tank, I think it takes roughly around P1500 to fill it up, or roughly $30.

Maybe last July when I went to the mall with friends. I remember doing quite a lot of walking that day and I’m sure the total distance was more than five miles.
9 - What's your favourite brand of ice-cream and which flavour from that brand do you like best?
I don’t really like ice cream, but I guess the yummiest I’ve had are Aice’s coffee ice cream and Ben & Jerry’s chocolate chip cookie dough.

I am a fan, but it’s not something I’m obsessed with enough to buy for myself. I’ve gotten scented candles as gifts and I can live off of those alone, lol. As for scents, I like ocean-y or sweet ones, like cinnamon.

The last time I went out for a meal...I think that was Taco Bell. I got one of their burritos and some deep-fried side, but I don’t remember which one it was. But right now I literally also just placed an order from KFC; I got a Double Down (FINALLY), and two orders of Fun Shots – one for me and another for the delivery guy as a way to thank him for taking my order at midnight.
12 - Who was the last person to visit your house? What were they there for?
Ooh we haven’t received visitors in a while. I wanna say the last guests were still Angela and Hans, from the time we watched Sowoozoo together.

I’d fix my teeth so I can finally feel entirely confident when smiling.

LOL like 0.5. I’m always at home.

I had chicken fillet with rice for dinner, andddd that’s all I had for today haha. Right now I’m just waiting for my order to arrive. Yeah, Anj gave me Taehyung’s Persona postcard. Funny story about that; she had kept pushing it onto me but I vehemently refused because it’s her merch, until she finally said, “it’s fake, just take it” for me to take the bait. A day later she messaged me saying, “by the way the postcard’s an original” :------) Anyway after that I took a photo and uploaded it so I can thank her.

It’s 16 years this year.

No. We have a dress code, but no uniform.

8:30 AM/1 or 2 AM.

Mmthe sexist and rude Supervisor I hate just got fired! Tuesday a woman was buying kr@ft parmesan and it was ringing up at 6.29 a bag. That's almost 3 dollars extra. I told her it fix it for her and he pulled his usual act of not allowing me to deal with customers on my own (I've been here 3 years. He's been here 2 months- hired in as a sup because he lies about having a business management degree). He takes the cheese from my hand rerings it, and voids out my price change. He then calls a manager who tells him to fix the price. Rather than just fixing it, he bangs on and on to this woman. Now I see this women weekly, if not more so. She's really cool, always friendly and goes to management almost every time to compliment someone. She does not typically challenge prices or cause any ruckus, but this dude really loves to stir the pot
S: wellll I really don't like it buuuut the manager said to override it for you.
C: you mean just like (me) was just doing when you snatched it from her hand?
S: ma'am thay doesn't matter to you, I can deal with my employees as I wish. were only doing this to please you so-
C: to PLEASE me? You're not PLEASING me, you're fixing the error in your system.
S: lady we are pleasing you. We're giving you the price you want
C: it's not the price I WANT. It's the correct price. I could come in here and say I want that and that and that for 25 cents if it was about WANT. You are correcting the price to the RIGHT ONE. Tell me which manager you spoke to
S: Twin (that's not the managers real name, but his name is similar)
C: which one is that? Is he the older heavyset man

S: twin. I'm not saying he IS a twin I'm saying that's his name.

She then asks for his name and he refuses to give it. He then rudely tells me to go to another register and that I'm unneeded and caused all these issues.
I'm 2 registers away and Mr.Twin finally sees the ruckus and comes up. She goes on this long explaination about how sup was super disrespectful to her, refused to give his name to her, was accusing her of lying and being greedy, and then spends about 10 minutes telling him about how great of an employee I am, I'm so helpful, she loves coming in here to check out with me, and she was appalled by the way the sup treated me. (About 2 weeks ago I had a meeting with this same manager about this sup being disrespectful, not letting women have breaks or lunches, as well was pick pocketing my apron). Manager gives her the cheese at no cost and apologizes for his behavior.
Well this morning I wake up to a text that he was escorted out by LP. they saw him on camera repeatedly sticking gift cards customers purchased in his pockets, equaling about 3,000 dollars as well as small amounts of money (both from the till and customers change), and stealing from employees by goin through their apron or stealing things like unopened drinks and phone chargers that were at registers.

>> Nope. Not quite cold enough to start putting the heat on. Probably closer to the beginning of December is when we’ll start needing it (unless this strange mild trend continues even longer than I’d predict...).

>> I don’t remember.

>> I spend most of my time alone, aside from when Sparrow is home. I’m mostly okay with it because I’ve learned to be okay with it (and because I have a really hard time being wholly myself around other people, which makes solitude a relief). Also, I’m plural, so I’m never really alone-alone.

>> I know quite a few people who have.
7 - Have you had your wisdom teeth removed? What about your tonsils or your appendix?
>> No. The dentist keeps recommending having them pulled, but I’m ignoring him for now because 1) oral surgery costs money and 2) oral surgery is anxiety-inducing and painful. If it’s not immediately necessary, then I’m going to put it off until it is. I’ve never had my tonsils or appendix removed.
8 - Are you scared of needles?
>> No.
9 - Do you dress more for comfort, fashion or practicality?
>> I dress for all of the above. I refuse to compromise on any of those factors, which is partly why I have so few kinds of clothes.

>> I don’t remember.

>> Tea.

>> The inability to just go places, I guess. I miss bars.

>> Not usually.

>> No, I don’t. I like some sweet things like roasted carrots (they’re so sweet! but good!) and apples and stuff, but I also don’t eat them alone -- I have to have something to balance out the sweetness.
25 - Are there any common “popular” foods that you don’t particularly like yourself? Have people ever told you you’re odd/strange for disliking that particular food?
>> Most of them, it seems. I don’t like the majority of common American snack foods (chips, Cheetos, Little Debbie snacks, stuff like that), I don’t like most chocolate, I don’t like carb-loading, I eat far less meat than the average omnivore, etc. People don’t usually tell me I’m strange because of my eating habits, which is good, because I don’t go around telling other people they’re strange for what they like to eat. I’d definitely like to be afforded that same respect.
26 - Likewise, are there are any commonly hated foods that you love?
>> A lot of people I’ve known seem to dislike at least some vegetables, if not most/all. Which is wild to me! Veggies are so good!
27 - Would you rather eat pizza or pasta?
>> Pizza. I’ve often said that pizza is the perfect food.
28 - Do you own a lot of store loyalty cards?
>> Not a lot. Sparrow has a few for the stores we visit most often.
29 - When was the last time you read a newspaper?
>> I don’t remember the last time I even saw a newspaper.
30 - What kind of noises can you hear around you right now?
>> I only hear the MyNoise preset I’m playing through my headphones right now. As it should be.

Where I Begin (Again)
The first time I was introduced to real estate investing was, like with most people, on HGTV watching real estate investors breaking down walls and pretending they didn't know about the wall issue that causes such a panic during the episode (I know enough now that if you did a proper inspection before closing on the property, half of the dramatic issues that we see on TV would have never come up during the rehab process). It was entertaining watching them solve their issues with the property and seeing that with a little hard work, you can make $35,000 in a few weeks.
I never thought to act on it doing it myself. I was in high school and only watched because my mom refused to watch anything I liked so I sat, I watched, and I observed. I wanted to be making that kind of money myself but I couldn't imagine or even fathom how to come up with that amount of money to buy a property, and let's not talk about the fact that I didn't know (and still don't know) the first thing about construction. Fast forward to May 2019, I've moved, I'm in college full-time, and I still watched HGTV shows on Netflix religiously. I'm in my car doing food delivery for GrubHub and I hear a commercial come on the radio (my tape that I used for an aux cord was stuck and wouldn't play my music so I listened to the radio) inviting me to come out and spend a few hours learning about real estate investing and how I could get started earning the big bucks. For an online college student with $55,000 in debt using a beat-up 2002 Honda Civic that was ready to break down any minute for GrubHub as their primary source of income, I could use some of those big bucks there were advertising about.
I was at a red light and I typed the website link into my phone's notes pad (not so legal, I know, but I was borderline desperate) and finished my shift. When I got home, I registered my boyfriend and myself up for the seminar at the end of the next week. I was excited and didn't know what to expect other than to be making $35,000 in a few weeks after learning what I needed to know.
Before the seminar was over, I got sucked up into the pitch of attending a three-day seminar for $200. My boyfriend who's not easily persuaded was also hooked and ready to learn all that we could about real estate investing. I was so moved, I bought an additional course on a specific kind of investing (tax liens). I knew that I was going to take all of the material we got from the seminar, study it, and be ready for the next course.
Well, after attending the first seminar, I got impatient and researched what I would learn at this three-day course. I found blog after blog about how this company was going to pitch to me a $50,000 course. Remember I said I had $55,000 in debt? I was devastated, especially because I had spent money I didn't have for this seminar. I kept researching the upcoming seminar and I found a few people say although they didn't pay for the additional courses, they still learned a lot.
We decided that after some research into real estate on YouTube and discovering BiggerPockets, we didn't need a $50,000 course, I'm a business student and he has two business degrees; we know how to research for information. I said that I'd take some of the most detailed notes I'd ever take and use that to build upon our knowledge and that's exactly what I did. I have sold 25-pages worth of handwritten notes from that three-day seminar. The presenter even joked about how I had so many notes. I didn't care. I'd rather have hand cramps then come out of pocket for $50,000 which I more than likely wouldn't have been able to attain anyways; my credit was in the trash (still is to this day) because of my high credit utilization and lack of paying my bills on time. I wanted my $200 worth of material.
While some spent $50,000 for a business-in-a-box, I spent the entire summer learning all that I could, speaking with real estate agents and title companies. I went hardcore on my real estate investing business and had some solid momentum. I went as far as sending out 150 letters and placing 300 calls. Of that, we scheduled one property tour. My boyfriend and I lost some steam, we knew that we shouldn't get our hopes up thinking we would strike it rich the first go-around but we quickly ran out of money and time by October (we officially started our business in August 2019).
By the end of November, I stopped sending out letters, they were too expensive for me to continue on a freelancer's wage and I stopped driving for dollars. I honestly got tired of the word 'no' even though I was told by multiple people to not give up, no matter how many 'no's I get. The business was all of a sudden draining on me and I stopped paying attention to our business. I had a lot going on at the time and it was taking up a lot of my time to where I didn't have time for anything else, my schoolwork included.
I haven't spoken about real estate until last week (other than the few times my awesome real estate agent friend, Patrick, would call to check on us and our progress). 6 months of nothing about real estate. 6 months of forgotten terms and concepts. It makes me sad that something I was so passionate about and couldn't shut up about a year ago (that three-day seminar started May 17, 2019) was forgotten. After a year of freelancing and doing odd jobs to make a living, I recently started working full-time again because I realized I lacked the discipline I needed to be a successful freelancer and got really behind on my bills. Now that I have been working full-time for the past three months, I've started to climb out of the hole I had only dug deeper for myself over the past year and I am working at paying off my credit cards, at the very least, to free up some cash I can use for our business(es).
This week has been very eye-opening to me on what I've been missing that truly makes me happy, real estate and wealth generation. I recently finished a book by Gary Vaynerchuk (Gary Vee), Crush It! Why Now is the TIme to Cash in on Your Passion, and I don't know exactly where in the book where it clicked to me that I needed to get back to the things that I have been passionate about. I finished that book four days ago and I've recently started reading, The Book on Investing in Real Estate with No and Low Money Down by Brandon Turner. A lot of the terms of real estate are coming back to me (for the life of me, I couldn't remember what a HELOC was until earlier today) and I've been working on our business plan for the past week.
I don't know what it is about this time around, but I've got a better feeling that things will turn out for the better for us. Gary Vee gave me the confidence I needed to ask my job if I could go part-time (doesn't make any sense for me to quit my job any time soon like I did the last time - well, I got laid off but that's another story) so I can focus on finishing my degree (two more classes!!) and work on my business(es). I was shocked to know that my request to switch to part-time had been approved - thanks Gary Vee!! So now, I'll be able to add some flexibility back in my week to work on our investing business and another business my boyfriend and I run together and still be able to freelance to come up with the missing wages from not working full-time.
I still am feeling very overwhelmed just like I did in the beginning of my real estate journey, but now that I know a few things, I feel a little better. My business plan hasn't been worked on so much in the past couple of days but only because I've been doing so much reading lately, see why I need more flexibility? I plan on finishing this investing book and then I have a lot more to read down the line. I'm just glad I'm in a whole lot better of a situation than I was a year ago. I have the income to pay my bills, anything extra will be for paying off debt faster and funding our business. I understand marketing from the real estate investors' perspective a lot better so I know which marketing strategies I'll try first this time around that won't cost a lot out of pocket and I've learned it's okay to slow down and ingest the material instead of my usual read and apply methodology.
I know I won't be making $35,000 a week, a month, or maybe even six months from now, but I am a lot more confident in my ability to actually reach that figure and then some.
As of right now, I've got goals written down and I'm figuring out my business plan. I've done business plans for products and small services but nothing like real estate so it's brand new to me for some parts. As I work through this all over again, I read over the goals I set for myself a year ago, and if I was as ambitious as I thought I would be, I'd have half of my debt paid off by now. But I've learned it's okay to get knocked down, I knocked myself down but I've learned a lot about investing since then and I know it can only get better from here.

The Galeo (Sanders Sides FF) Part 2

Part one/Chapter 1
As the day continued to pass, the sun began to set. However, the warm oranges and pale red lit in the sky paled in comparison to Roman's scales, which attractd much more attention now that the skies were dim.
Small children gasped in aw upon seeing the glowing scales, touching the glass and even taking pictures. Roman smiled at each one, waving at each child who spared a glance at him, even posing for selfies other folks requested.
He continued this for hours, completely exhausted and yet still swimming around and acting energetic. He was only given a break when the sky turned dark, the colors faded, and the stars could be seen high above them.
And that time was right now.
"Roman," his owner called out to him as he jumped out of the tank, landing with two feet instead of a tail, his hair magically dry. The clothes he wore were soaking wet, as he put them on in the tank before hopping out.
" Yes, sir?" Roman answered, jumping back in shock as a bag of coins were tossed into his hands.
"Sir...?" He muttered, staring at the bag full of silver coins with a few gold coins tossed in there. That's a lot of money- more than be expected.
(How the money works=
copper coins: lowest value, often used for street food, bread, or small accessories like earrings or bracelets. Also commonly used and known to be change.
Silver coins: mid value, most common. Used for food in average restaurants, clothing, most store items, some small rent/bills, as well as most gear for adventurers.
50 copper coins= 1 silver coin
Gold coins: highest value. Used for paying rent/bills, purchasing high level equipment, buying food in fancy restaurants, some furniture such as beds, purchasing land, buying refined gemstones, jewelry, luxury clothing.
50 silver coins= 1 gold coin.
Coin Credit (also known as CC or a CC account):
Can put large amounts of coins in to the account so you don't have to carry the heavy coins everywhere. Usable through phone screen or card.

Shows credit the same way as others, but the background design can be customized.

"I'm no longer your owner. The GRH took you in, and they want you there by the end of the week. That's your pay for the month. You did a good job." The man patted a hand against Roman's back.
"Wait- the GRH? But that means I can't- why?" Roman panicked. He can't retire now! He still wants to compete! How could this have happened!?
"Don't worry, boy," the man said, speaking confidently. "The one that wants you will allow you to compete again if you really want to. I'm sorry I couldn't, the restaurant got more crowded than I could have ever imagined. Go take your break."
Roman nodded, his brain processing the information. So...this owner only didn't take him to competitions because the restaurant got too busy?
Roman left after saying his thanks, and walked towards his rented small house. It was nearby luckily, only a couple of streets away. Looks like he has to make a call to the owner of the house tomorrow.

The next morning, Roman is all packed up. He bought a few boxes in the middle of the night, as strange as it must've been to the last few remaining stores willing to sell them to him.
Everything besides the furniture was packed neatly in the box, so much so that even Roman was suprised.
But that moment didn't last any longer, as he heard the horses hooves click and clack against the stone streets, and the bumps coming from the wagon outside the house and a firm three knocks on the door.
"Moving company! Is this Roman Stancy?"
Roman sighed aloud. His last name wasn't Stancy, for the last time! That's his breeder's last name! His last name he inherited from his mother's maiden name was Pristey! Roman. Pristey. (Pronounced Pry-stee)
"Yes, yes! Come in!" He unlocked the door, seeing a handful of men and women dressed in the same uniform. Light blue shirt, pants, hat, the only different were the shoes which ranged from white to brown to black and to blue.
"I prefer you not use my breeder's last name. It's Pristey. Jeez, I really need to change that legally."
"Sorry, that was the name listed. So, Mr. Pristey, are you moving the furniture as well?" A polite man asked, and Roman smiled. That's the first time somebody called him Mr. Pristey.
"No, just the boxes. But be careful with the green ones- all my plates and cups are there." Roman stepped aside, allowing the crew of workers to start moving his stuff. And like he said, instead of one person handling the green box like all the others, three people did.
He liked this moving company already. He originally only called them because it was the first one to appear on the most reccomend list, but now he knows why they were rated the best.
The last one he hired destroyed a whole box of plates and cups, and he had to do everything with a bowl for a solid week. Drinking coffee in a bowl was an odd experience.
And just like that, he was off to go to the GRH.

Patton had just gotten back from work, and unlike earlier in the day, his attitude seemed a little deflated.
The volunteer workers asked him what was wrong- the Patton they knew didn't get sad often, so they wondered what the cause was.
"Nothing, I just saw another Galeo at that pet shop in the same tank. Her scales are beautiful, too." Patton clenched his fist. He would have bought them if he could, give them enough money to live properly and help them get a job and stable life, he would for all of them. If only he could.
Galeo are expensive, they really are. The price she was selling at was currently 25 gold coins. That's expensive even for a Galeo. Most are about 5-20, depending on it's genetics, attitude and such. The only one he saw selling any higher were ones that had a huge chance of winning the I.C. (International Competition).
The workers could only sigh. While, yes, people are doing what they could for Galeo thrown away, they can't exactly stop Galeo abuse quite yet. They are working on passing a law for it, though, as well as giving them equal rights, but at this moment, controversy is common about the topic.
But, one of the workers permed up. "Patton," she grinned, "today the new Galeo is coming."
Patton blinked once, and then twice, and then his eyes sparked with joy.
"Really? Today?!" He jumped up from his depressed state. While they knew it was temporary, it was better than watching him down in the dumps for hours.
"Yep! The other one is coming in two days late due to.....complicated reasons." She sighed, remembering his crazy outburst the first time they tried transferring him from the Otzzie Breeding estate to here.
"No! Don't you dare move me ten inches from here! I'm not leaving him alone you dirt brains!"
"Please! It's for the best-"
"SHUT! UP! Insignificant human beings- I'm not leaving without him! Are you that idiotic! Am I not coherent?"
"But you have to come by th-"
"Silence! The odds of me going unacompanied by him are infinitesimal! Go on and leave us! Either that or arrange for V to come with me!"
"What happened?" Patton asked, hearing her sigh.
"We are currently fighting to have another Galeo retire....as he refuses to come without him. We have the court's favor, because there are signs of him being abused, but Mr. Otzzie has quite a firm grip on him. Of course he does..."
"Why? Tell me! Please?" Patton begged.
"Because....he..." she hesitated to tell him.
"Pleaaaassseeee?" Patton used his puppy dog eyes, and the worker could only look away and sigh once more.
"Let's just say...he's very important." She replied, telling herself that it was his decision to tell other people. After all...
Not all Perfect Galeo want the spotlight.

It’s only Tuesday and I’m having a terrible week.
Fuck me it’s only Tuesday and already I’ve had such a fucking shitty week. To start off with I’m not entitled to a medical card, which will allow me to visit my doctor for free and only pay about 2 euro per item for anything I buy on prescription. I have multiple physical and mental disabilities but because I’m 20 and young, I’m not entitled to disability, they say I can be trained because I’m young, despite the fact that I can’t be in loud crowded places because of my SPD and I can’t stand for long periods of time without being in total agony because of my scoliosis. I am entitled to free GP visits at least, but still. I didn’t get the flu shot this year because I couldn’t fucking afford it, and then I ended up catching the flu and was really sick for about a week, I had to spend 50 euro to see my doctor and then spend 25 euro on medication and I only get 112 euro a week, I’m not entitled to the full dole/unemployment because I’m under 25. So apparently 112 euro is too much for someone to have free medical care and free prescriptions. I’m late on my period for the first time in the 10 years I’ve been having them, what if something is wrong and I need treatment? I won’t be able to afford that, no way in hell. I had plans to work through my fear of surgery in therapy, so once I got my medical card I could maybe get top surgery at some stage to alleviate my dysphoria, I am so sick of not being able to look in the mirror without feeling physically ill and inherently wrong. I was hoping my doctor would refer me to a specialist and I could get a brace for my back, the medical card would have payed for that, but I absolutely cannot afford that now.
Then to put the cherry on the cake, I’ve been having issues at work for months, since I started. I’m a volunteer and the people I work for are the biggest cunts I have ever had the misfortune to meet. They are extreme staunch Christians who expect you to pay a swear jar at work if you say ‘God’ or any variation of that (take the Lord’s name in vain, but he’s not THE Lord, he’s your Lord and you cannot force me to not say his name in vain, if you don’t want to that’s fine, but I don’t believe in God so taking his name in vain means nothing to me) they expect customers to not take the lord’s name in vain in the shop, they are extremely dismissive of customers and extremely rude to customers of color. They can be nice to white people, but if they’re talking to POC, they’re so fucking rude to them, it sickens me. It’s no wonder nothing fucking sells.
One day a few weeks ago when I wasn’t needed out the back, I sat out the front at the cash register to try and get some experience in and see if I remembered what my co-worker had taught me. I couldn’t get the hang of it but it was not a big deal at all, nobody lost money or anything like that, I had someone else with me to help me when i couldn’t get it..
The next day I was sorting through the clothes like I always do and one of my bosses (I work for a married couple, a man and a woman) basically told me not to go behind the tills or around the tills anymore, now this guy wasn’t there the day before, so his wife obviously squealed on me to him, imagine being a maybe 40 something year old woman, squealing to her husband on your 20 year volunteer because they couldn’t work the till perfectly the first go, pathetic. He then also told me that he knows I need to sit down a lot (which is true, like I said because of my back I can’t stand for long periods of time) but then proceeded to tell me to ‘Go for a walk’ when I needed to instead of sitting down out the back, he told me to go to the benches at the back of the shopping center the shop is located in. This is they guy who told me he needs to know where I am at all times. I left work early at one stage because I was having awful period pains, two co-workers saw me go and so did this guy, but when I came in on Monday after that, he told me I disappeared didn’t tell him I was leaving. The only other possible explanation was that he meant I went to the toilet for 5 minutes the other day, without telling him. I’m sorry man, but I was in agony and I needed to check if I was bleeding heavily because I didn’t have any clean pads with me, so I would have needed to go home straight away if I was bleeding lots.
Then yesterday, we got two bags of clothes donated, I took it upon myself as most of us do, to take them out of the bag, check they were clean, label them and write the size on them so all that was left for the bosses to do was price them. Well there was no room to hang these clothes up so I thought ‘Okay well I’ll label them and everything anyway and then put them back in the bag, that way whenever there is space we just need to take them out, put them on hangers and hang them up’. Well when my boss (the woman, we’ll call her Boss 1 from now on) saw this, she told me I couldn’t be taking clothes out of bags and putting them back in. ???? Why??? They would have been lying there anyway, it’s not like they were taking up any room, I took initiative,I did you a favor.
Another thing, before I get into the last part, is on my first day I was told to hang my coat and bag in the little toilet area beside the stairs leading up to the attic. I did, and I did the same the next day, but then they told me not to leave them in there because customers sometimes go in there to try stuff on and might steal from me. Right okay, so I would leave my coat and bag in the back. Well I got told not to do that today, I was told to put my coat in the toilet area, so I did. But then when I went to look for my bag when I was leaving, it wasn’t where I left it nor was it in the toilet area, I was starting to freak out because my purse was in my bag. Thankfully I found it a few seconds later, under a chair where it was more in the way than it was where I had initially put it. Those bastards had the audacity to take MY property and MY stuff and move it without telling me, to where it could easily be mistaken for a donation and sold on me.
And what really topped it all off was what happened today.
I go into work this morning and at first everything is fine, I do my usual tidying of the clothes, and once that’s done I go out the back to see what needs to be done there. While I’m there my co-worker asks if I’ve seen the pricing gun, as it’s gone missing. I say no I haven’t, and have a look around for it myself, can’t see it.Then boss 1 comes in and asks my co-worker ‘Does Michelle know where the gun is?’ my co-worker says no, and Boss 1 asks me where I left it yesterday when I had priced clothes. I told her where I left it and she basically blamed me for loosing it, telling me that I had to put it back in the drawer where we keep other stationary (Nobody ever does that we just leave it on the work top, and I highly doubt I was the last to use it yesterday seeing as I finished at 2 and the shop shuts at 5) Boss 1 kept saying how those guns aren’t cheap and cost upward of 30 euro, i’m surprised she didn’t demand I pay for a new one.
Then I was pricing some toys that were donated, and when Boss 1 saw me doing this, instead of just calmly and gently explaining there’s no more room for toys on the shop floor, she was very aggressive and rude about it, practically yelling at me, saying things like ‘No! No more toys I’ve no more room!’ Right okay bitch, you could have just said that like a normal person.
And then I was looking for something to do, I’m someone who always takes initiative, that’s why I was sorting through the toys. So I was looking around me to see what I could do, when Boss 1 tells me if I’m going to be there I need to do something. Then I was practically banned from the back room because it was so packed, but my other two co-workers were allowed in there no problem. That’s where I dew the line and just gave up and went home. I give them my effort and my time, I pour my blood, sweat and tears into that work, I am physically disabled so the work is no easy feat for me, but I do it anyway because I like to be busy and I want to help those in need, but I just get it thrown right back in my face.
I am a young, trans, gay person, I do not feel safe among these religious nut jobs, I feel forced back into the closet. I started my transition recently, I’m transitioning into a more androgynous look, I cut all my hair off and I started binding with sports bras until I can get a real binder and then surgery. Yesterday was the first day I went into work presenting agender, and man I was so, so scared, I felt sick and almost had a panic attack because I didn’t know how they would react. They didn’t say anything to my surprise, but fuck I was so, so scared, I haven’t felt that kind of anxiety in a long, long time, years. I refuse to feel afraid to be who I am. These ‘People’ are so evil and nasty and the least compassionate people I have ever met in all my life, and I hope everyone realizes exactly who and what they are, fuck them 100 times over, they are such awful, awful people and I hope they get their comeuppance.

Help I Start School Tomorrow: A Check List
Do you need some sweet ass advice from somebody who’s spent no less than 18 years struggling through the muck of academia? Of course you do! Here’s a handy-ass dandy-ass guide to wtf should be going on in your pre-school prep!
Let’s get started~
1) What should I do with my day before I go back to the hell hole that is school?
I’m glad you asked! Do things that make the start of the semester feel like a fun and luxurious adventure awaits you! Especially for college and university people, the start of the semester loses pizzazz with age (and time).
Hype yourself up with some simple self care, these things don’t have to be expensive or cost anything at all if you can utilize what’s lying around in your kitchen, bathroom, neighbour’s house or wherever.
Wash your damn hair! Shower and take all the time you need, shave if you want to while you’re in there. The goal is to feel fresh and a lil less greasy the next morning.
Are you a lazy ass that doesn’t have time to moisturize? Me too! Get some Nivea in-shower lotion if you can, and before you towel dry douse yourself with baby oil gel (or literally just some olive oil or coconut oil- whatever you got lying around). Show yourself some love!!
Now is a great time to style your hair for tomorrow and protect it with a low pony or a night cap, btw
Do a face mask! Do a hair mask! Do a foot mask! Do whatever tf kind of mask you got handy! Use foods from your kitchen, or try Freeman masks they’re around 4$ each. Dollar store prices, department store quality.
Take an hour to fix your nails, toe nails, wax the stache or do any body maintenance you usually do. Pretend you’re going to a sick ass party and you’re grooming your meat vessel to perfection.
Lay out your sick outfit for tomorrow- pro tip: you want to be comfy and functional on buses/trains/on foot or however you commute. Think hard about the kind of weather you’ll be up against, and the general state of the terrain on your commute. Put your outfit on a hanger so it’s ready for tomorrow, even if you can’t do this every night during the school year it’ll get you in the right mental state to have your first day
Prep your meds! A big part of feeling good is taking our medications on time to reap their maximum benefits. Put them out on your kitchen counter if you think you’ll forget, go through your medicine cabinet: is there anything you need to remember to take with you to have during the day? Set alarms on your phone if (like me) you’ve got pills to take at different times of day- label them something that you’ll understand. (I use the names of the doctors that prescribed them so I know which pills are physical health and which are mental health).
Pack your lunch for tomorrow. Fruits and veggies bitch none of this “I’ll buy it when I get there” nonesense. Remember to stay hydrated! Bring some kind of receptacle to hold water/tea/coffee whatever. This is a solid habit to have year round, but remember the first couple school days can frazzle you pretty good and it’s good to have snacks on hand.
CLEAN YOUR GODDAMN ROOM. You’re gonna be shooketh in a bad way if you wake up on the first day of classes with a messy bathroom and shit strewn all over your sleeping space. Take all the time you need to put things lovingly away, if you’re feeling ambitious update your calendar and spray a little room spray or light a scented candle. Ooh la la
Do something fun. Do something distracting. Go out with a friend, read a book, take a couple hours of ‘me time’. You’ll be ready to die for it during the semester.
Feeling nervous? Call literally anybody you can stand to talk to for more than five minutes. Talk about dogs, talk about boats, ask them to guess how many jelly beans you’re holding right this second (sike b the answer is 0)- take a couple steps away from the whole school thing.
2) What the hell do I put in my backpack??
So this is where I fly into an unGodly rage. I’m so tired of seeing Instagram posts telling people their make up, perfume and breath mints are the most important of their school arsenal. What’s gonna save you when you bleed through your pants at school cause Aunt Flo decides to come chill on campus? Your perfume? Unlikely.
Here’s the real tea on what you should have in your bag, based on years of oopses, dire situations, and general mishap management.
A pencil case. Preferably full of writing implements. I can’t believe I have to tell people this but like......I do.....y’all childish
MEDICAL BAG: A small pouch is all you need! Tuck this away in your bag’s inside pocket, or in your purse, it could save not only your life but somebody else’s too. Get your prescriptions you need throughout the day like inhalers, anti anxiety meds, lactose intolerance pills, Imodium, symethicone etc.
Pack some ginger gravol (or regular drowsy gravol) for motion sickness or for when the flu season hits
Benadryl pills (and your epipen if you have one!) this is one of those things you should always have lying around at home and in your car
Alcohol swabs and band aids of your choice. Most pharmacies will sell 100 swabs for around 3$, look in dollar stores for discreet 1st aids packs and band aids. Stash them in your little pouch, it might not be you who falls down a flight of stairs and needs to bandage up their elbow- but at least you can help. (Based on a true story!!!!)
Panty liners/ tampons/ pads- this is another one of those things that others may benefit from
Get yourself a mini deodorant (3$ at Walmart) and wrap your hair ties around it. Double trouble, double storage capacity!
Tylenol/Advil, hunt around for little plastic pill holders like Pill Pals, they’re not usually more than 2 or 3 bucks and they hold A TON of pills
Vagina Bonus Round: do you take birth control? Have a tube of Canesten/Monistat/Vagisil or whatever for when the yeast season is upon us
Remember to carry your hospital card and/or medical insurance card on you at all times
Pharmacies will give face wipes individually wrapped for free. Usually brands like Cetaphil will dump them off as testers for customers- ask your local pharmacy cashier for stuff like mini hand creams, spf lip balms and face wipes. We’re happy to give them to you and you’ll get some real use out of them!
ASS WIPES. GET SOME. You can wipe down your bag with them, wipe down tables with them, flush them, and do all kinds of damage control. Trust.
Emergency money- the medical bag is a great place to hide emergency money (think bus fare, or 5$ for emergency food) because people are unlikely to rob what looks like a 1st aid kit
3. Friends come and go but portable chargers are forever- you can find cheap key chain ones at dollar stores. If you’re going to spring for one that lasts a few days on one charge I suggest the OKZU from Amazon. It’s HELLA SLIM and I can hold a charge for about 3 days before it reaches even 75% battery capacity. (It’s also the most budget friendly I’ve found to date about 14$ after shipping).
4. Remember make up, gum, little travel items and perfume can have a place in your bag but I would suggest transferring as much as you can into smaller and smaller containers. A whole bottle of perfume is a lot to carry around, imagine a water bottle bouncing around your bag- that’s the kind of space you’re using up. Be mindful of just how many books/ copy books/ textbooks you’ll be toting around and if it gets to be too much- get an actual tote!
5. A little clip on hand sanitizer never hurt anybody...also Kleenex I promise you’ll use it. (And if you don’t I’ll be there to borrow it lmao) ALLERGY SEASON BONUS ROUND: a small bottle of off brand artificial tears are great to stow in your glasses case for all those shitty October mornings where your eyes refuse to act like eyes and not the Sahara Desert 🐫 off brand artificial tears run for between 2-4$ at most Walmarts!
3) I’ve used my last 24 hours to get my shit together- but I have a horrible impending sense of doom! What should I do?
Ah anozzer day in bikini bottom, which means another day of crippling anxiety for 25% of adult Canadian students! (Wow that’s a lot of students!) Boy do I know how tough it is to be thrown back into the pressure cooker of life that we call school. Here are some tips from me to you that I hope help a little bit:
I believe in you! It’s not a tip, but I want you to know that I do. If you’re feeling unsure/ silly/ out of your element/ etc think about me wandering around just as confused as you are! And have a good laugh at my expense! Shoot me a DM, scroll around my nonesense blog- wow check me out I’m a real living person and I made this post for you- because why? I care about your well being! Sometimes it just helps to know that there’s somebody out there thinking about you and wishing for your safe return home at the end of the day~ for the start of your semester I’ll be that person. *smooch*
Arrive early! My therapist once told me that rolling out of bed five minutes before I have to be somewhere limits my chances of having a calm and meaningful experience where I’m going. I hate to admit it but she makes a good point. Wake up early and do something nice for you: have breakfast, just sit on your balcony and breathe some fresh air, pet your cat and gaze upon their stupid face. Take the time.
Arrive early BONUS TIP: get to where you’re going an hour early and just wander! Window shop, roam the building, learn where the fire exit is, sit outside on a bench and watch the students come in and out. The longer you chill at school the homier it’ll feel, and the more you feel at home somewhere the more you feel at ease. Strike up random convos with strangers if you’re feeling brave, or text an understanding friend to meet you there and roam alongside you.
Plan your day! Get an agenda if it’s in your means, or just scribble on some scrap paper. Make your grocery list, write your tasks of the day, your goals of the day, or even just a positive affirmation. Sometimes even when I know exactly what I’m doing that day, or have something trivial to do (like laundry) I’ll write down “do laundry” to feel like I have a clear path to follow.
Embrace your local accessibility Center and school councellor. Don’t live in fear of the resources your school provides. It seems scary/embarrassing/weird to have to have special accommodations to deal with your anxiety or depression but GIRL once you’re all set with the appropriate tools there’s truely nothing that can stop you. This was my experience anyway, but I strongly urge everybody I meet to take advantage of school services and wring them for all they’ve got. They’re there for you boo!
HOT TIP: feeling dizzy and overwhelmed on the bus? Look at the wall or something that isn’t moving. DONT LOOK OUT THE WINDOWS AS THIS MAKES DIZZINESS WORSE. Breathe in 2 beats and out 3 beats- this cuts your fight or flight. If you’re going to drink take small sips out of a straw or without moving your head. My GP gave me this advice and it’s saved my whole ass quite a few times.
Download free apps that are anti anxiety in the form of fun games. I’ve had positive results with Viridii (where you grow a little succulent garden) Tap Tap Fish (basically you’re a sentient coral that decorates the sea floor) and Polytap (you basically count the vertices of spinning polygons). A cursory google search will reveal more fun games for emergency anxiety relief! I also like to go on YouTube and search for positive affirmation anxiety videos, or storm/white noise/ ocean anti anxiety sounds the night before to get me in the right headspace to sleep!
