I think this part explains quite well why Polin should come first in the series.
Benedict should still fall for Sophie at some point in this season, only for her to disappear through the rest of it. But this way we would get the perfect parallel between what Colin *thinks* falling in love is and what it *truly* is for him.

Awesome Parenting
Sam Kerr x Mum!Reader x Daughter || Sam's loss has a bigger impact on your daughter than Sam.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
You were too focused on watching your girlfriend drop her head in disappointment to see the tears build in your daughter's eyes. The London derby was always a good game to watch and being present only amplified the tension you could feel through a screen. The derby had even higher stakes as Arsenal was following closely behind Chelsea in second place and while losing might not make them drop down on the ladder, it was an important game to win.
Sam never likes to lose, no one does really, she's even said herself she hates losing more than she likes winning, so to lose such a game to Chelsea's biggest rivals, you knew she would take it to heart.
It seems that your daughter has picked up on the trait.
Your eyes dart to the floor where your daughter now resides with tears rolling down her face. You crouch down and pull her into a sitting position with a concerned look on your face, "What's up hun? Are you hurt?" You ask confused as to why she had dropped to the floor.
Her hands went to her face as she was wiping her tears and simultaneously hiccuping, "Mama lose," A fresh wave of tears poured over the 2-year-old which, whilst you hated seeing your baby girl cry, brought you relief that she wasn't hurt.
You cooed as you picked her up and rested her on your hip, "Hey, it's ok. I know it can be really upsetting when things don't go our way and I know that we all wanted Mama to win, but it's ok. It happens sometimes and Mama will get them back next time, ok?" You bounced slightly while rubbing her back, trying to prevent a full-blown tantrum in the middle of a very busy stadium.
"But why!?" Your daughter screeched.
"Hey, hey, none of that, please. I understand your upset but we don't yell at Mummy, ok?" When you felt her nod into the crook of your neck you kissed her temple, "Sometimes the other team plays really well, and sometimes our team doesn't play as well as they can and as we know, mistakes happen. There are lots of things that could have happened but that's ok. We can't win all the time, even though we really want to."
"But Mama be sad." Adelia whimpered.
You pouted to yourself at how sweet your kid was, "Well, I know whenever I'm sad, you cheer me up so how about we go see Mama and see if you can cheer her up, yeah?" Adelia perked up at the idea and quickly wiped her tears.
You walked down to the barrier and got Sam's attention who then began to make her way over, "Hey, munchkin," She said as she reached the two of you, "Hey, y/n/n," She greeted you with a quick kiss and pulled Adelia over the barrier.
Adelia took Sam's face between her chubby little hands and gave Sam a kiss on the nose, "Mama, ok?" Sam nudged her nose into Adelia's cheek which brought out a giggle.
"I will be, thank you chicken." You smiled at your girls.
That night after you and Sam had put Adelia to sleep you were cuddling on the couch, "A was really upset when the whistle rang today, think you've rubbed off on her." You looked up at Sam with a little smirk.
"She is her Mama's girl, isn't she?" Sam smirked back.
You groaned into her chest, "It's not a good thing, Sammy," You giggled.
"Well, she seemed pretty happy when she saw me?" Sam accused defensively.
"Yeah, because of my awesome parenting skills," You countered.
Sam kissed the top of your head and sighed, "You are pretty awesome,"
You sighed contently with her, "I know,"
"Oi, cheeky," She laughed and you distracted her by planting a kiss onto her lips, smiling into the kiss.

What makes movie action “good?”
There’s a John Wick movie in theaters. There seems to be pretty uniform agreement that John Wick movies have great action, and simultaneously, there seems to be a lot of general “Marvel fatigue,” some of which is specifically about the MCU, but also some of which is about “action blockbusters” that seem to put a lot of focus on action and spectacle that a lot of people seem to be growing increasingly disenchanted with. (See, for example:  Tomorrow War (2021) starring Chris Pratt, Extraction (2020) starring Chris Hemsworth, and to round out the Chris roster we also have Wonder Woman 1984 (2020) with Chris Pine.)
Most of the discussion tends to focus on effects, and how making everything in a computer feels soulless while practical effects like the ones in John Wick and Everything Everywhere All At Once are superior, and there’s a certain degree to which blockbuster CG does look worse due to everything being computer generated. But I think a much bigger and more deep-seated problem is that blockbuster action is poorly structured.
There are a lot of great practical scenes in John Wick with choreography that is great not just in execution, but in concept: if you recreated them with computer animation, or hand-drawn animation, many of them would be just as fun. You could look at a storyboard with a director’s poorly-drawn pencil sketches and you’d still be able to follow the logic and understand what the scene’s impact is supposed to be. You can tell this, because people can describe these scenes, and regularly do exactly that, because they’re memorable. It’s what the legend of John Wick is all about. (And it’s not just the “top 10 most creative John Wick kills” listicles that remind us of that fact.)
Tumblr media
The thing is, John Wick doesn’t rely on the unique outlandish props for memorable kills. Most of John Wick’s kills boil down to “point gun, pull trigger.” And yet despite that most of his kills are with bullets, so many of them feel unique. Each scene feels like it has a tempo to it, a sense of flow, a chain of cause and effect. “That guy is hiding behind a pillar, but his toe is sticking out. So I’ll shoot him in the toe, causing him to bend over in pain, exposing the rest of his body so I can shoot center of mass.” There’s always the moment when John Wick runs empty and has to reload before delivering the killshot.
There’s a storytelling principle that’s often applied to plot structure. This was famously described by Trey Parker to a bunch of NYU students on MTVU's "Stand In." Trey Parker describes the writers room as containing a massive white board, split into 3 acts, where they write down ideas scenes and rearrange them. Each scene has to be entertaining by itself, but they also need to be connected by a coherent narrative through-line.
"You don't want just one scene where, 'well, what was the point of that?' Take the beats of your outline, and if the words 'and then' belong between those beats, you've got something pretty boring. What should happen between every beat that you've written down is either the word 'therefore,' or 'but.'”
A happens, therefore B happens. Or, B doesn't happen, but C happens, therefore D happens. Repeat.  You can use this to structure the plot for a 25-minute TV episode, or a 120-minute movie, or a 2-minute action scene. Follow it, beat by beat, and see if one leads to the next:
One of the evil henchmen comes swinging at our hero with a wooden chair raised over his head, but the hero dodges and the wooden chair smashes against the floor, shattering. Therefore, the ground is now covered with the broken remains of a wooden chair, so the mook picks up one of the long pieces of wood that served as a chair leg and begins swinging at the hero again. But the hero successfully dodges and the wooden club breaks and splinters in a way that causes it to become, therefore the mook starts trying to use the splintered end to stab the hero...
I’m not saying this is an amazing action scene, but it’s a competent one: each beat flows into the next. The chair becomes a chair leg, then the chair leg becomes a shiv. Each time the henchman comes rushing at the hero, he’s doing it with a different weapon. The scene has a logic to it: if you rearranged the shots, the scene wouldn’t make sense. You can’t start with a splintered piece of wood and then end on an intact chair.
So many mediocre action movies fail to deliver it. The bad guy punches the hero. And then he punches the hero again. And then he tries to kick the hero. And then he punches in a different, cooler way. There’s no real sense in which each beat is a consequence of what followed it: if you cut the scene up and rearranged the shots, a lot of people might not even notice. (And in fact that sort of thing happens all the time in the editing bay.)
Tony Zhou self-deprecatingly describes this problem when critiquing one of his own videos, saying “This is a list you could put in any order. That’s why it’s so boring.”
For examples of action cinema where every beat feels like a consequence of what preceded it, watch any classic Jackie Chan movie (the ones that came out of Hong Kong, not Hollywood). Tony Zhou describes it like this:
“So how does Jackie create action that is also funny? First off, he gives himself a disadvantage. No matter what film, Jackie always starts beneath his opponents. He has no shoes. He’s handcuffed. He has a bomb in his mouth.“
Tumblr media
“From this point, he has to fight his way back to the top. Each action creates a logical reaction. And by following the logic, we get a joke.” (Jackie is facing an assailant with a gun; Jackie has a gun, but it’s empty. Therefore, Jackie fakes surrender, handing his empty gun to the assailant. Therefore, the assailant is now holding an unloaded gun in his left hand. The assailant now thinks he has control of the situation, but reaching for the unloaded gun distracted him the fact that Jackie was entering a fighting stance and getting ready to kick: therefore, when Jackie kicks, he succeeds in knocking the loaded gun out of the assailant’s right hand. Therefore, the assailant tries to fire at Jackie using the gun in his left hand -- which is empty, and he realizes it in a moment of surprise which Jackie seizes on by punching the assailant in the face.)
This is the joy of watching Jackie Chan films: much like the example of a chair (which morphs into a chair leg, which morphs into a shiv), a prop in a Jackie Chan movie is rarely just one thing. A ladder isn’t just a ladder; it’s a prop. And it’s several different kinds of props. Fighting with a ladder like this:
Tumblr media
...is subtly different than fighting with a ladder after this happens:
Tumblr media
And if you flip it over a guy’s head, it suddenly becomes a cage:
Tumblr media
...trapping a guy just long enough for him to look at you in surprise right before your fist intersects with his face.
It’s great for action comedy, but it’s also great for straight action: sometimes, the “punchline” is someone getting defeated in a surprising way. John Wick is one of the few big franchises of recent years to reliably do this sort of thing well.
Often, John Wick accomplishes this by being clever.  But I think a big part of it comes down to the fact that John Wick is just mortal enough for the number of bad guy’s he’s facing to matter. Each scene needs a sense of “progress,” where the stakes are constantly changing, and sometimes the change in stakes is as simple as, “There are five bad guys, oh no!” Bang bang, pivot, bang bang. “Okay, now there are only three bad guys.” (It’s harder to do this when you’ve been injected with super soldier serum and wear a suit made of high-tech blast resistant stretch fabric: Captain America subduing five bad guys doesn’t feel meaningfully different from him subduing three bad guys, even if the way he punches them is really cool.)
Stakes matter! If threat level scales linearly with the number of bad guys on screen, then each scene will have a natural eb and flow to it as bad guys get gradually picked off (or as more of them stream into the room, or pick themselves up off the floor and reach for the gun they just dropped).
One of the MCU scenes that actually did this better than most is the famous Captain America elevator scene: first, Crossbones and two guys get onto the elevator with cap. A bit surprising. Why is that guy resting his hand on his hip so close to his gun? Several floors later, the elevator opens, and four more guys get on. They’re wearing suits, like you’d expect from people who just showed up for a day at the office. This is headquarters, there’s nothing to be worried about. So why is that guy sweating? Then, the  door opens again, and three more guys get on -- and these guys are wearing tac gear. But hey, it’s Jack -- I know Jack, he was in the first ensemble movie, he can’t be one of the bad guys...so why is he standing directly between me and the door?
It’s a great example of slowly amping up the tension by gradually adjusting the threat level up. The scene even amps up the tension by having the magnetic handcuff, which leaves Cap in various stages of incapacitation throughout the fight. And he has to fight his way up from the bottom. But we very quickly go from this iconic shot:
Tumblr media
...then after literally three seconds of Cap delivering a rapid series of strikes to incapacitate most of the mooks, he’s back to fighting two or three of them at a time.
Despite there being ten bad guys in the elevator, it’s kind of hard to get a clear fix on how many of them attacking Cap at any given moment, all of the others existing in various states of injury and recovery after they get the wind knocked out of them. In fact, the only shot that allows us to get a full body count is after the fight is over:
Tumblr media
But it’s still a fun scene, one of my favorites, succeeding at being fun and memorable.
The bigger issue is the need to be “epic”: threat level can’t scale linearly with the number of bad guys on screen when you want a scene where there are literally hundreds of enemies to fight off.
There’s a certain point at which the marginal effect of another bad guy on screen is effectively zero. Obviously, this is the case when you have hundreds or dozens of enemies on screen, but there’s a real sense in which “group of seven bad guys” doesn’t feel different from “group of six bad guys.” Our brains just categorize both as “a pretty big cluster.” Research tends to come to slightly different results on this, but it seems like humans count “one, two, three, four, many.” Once you have five bad guys on screen, adding a sixth bad guy doesn’t do anything to change the stakes.  (That’s the problem with having a hero who’s so strong that you need to throw 10 bad guys at him to pose any threat.)
If you cap the total number of on-screen bad guys at five, then each enemy the hero defeats meaningfully changes the stakes, and John Wick does this a lot. In many cases, the flow just comes from watching the number of bad guys on screen decrease linearly as the hero picks them off, one by one. It gives the scene a natural scenes of progress, and it can sometimes be played for comedy, like Neal Stephenson does in Snow Crash in a scene described by a sniper’s dialog:
"It's, like, one of them drug dealer boats," Vic says, looking through his magic sight.  "Five guys on it.  Headed our way."  He fires another round.  "Correction.  Four guys on it."  Boom.  "Correction, they're not headed our way anymore."  Boom.  A fireball erupts from the ocean two hundred feet away.  "Correction.  No boat."
That’s a (very short) scene with flow. You can’t rearrange the beats; every beat leads to the next. Follow the logic, and arrive at the punchline.

These 5 Zodiac Signs Doubt Themselves Too Much
We've all experienced self-doubt at some point in our lives, perhaps before asking someone out on a date, when applying to a new job or when getting ready to take a test.
Though it sucks, self-doubt is just another part of life, but while we all experience it, some people have more problems with it than others.
Some individuals are capable of shrugging off self-doubt as one would shrug off a coat. They feel it, and they discard it almost immediately.
Others, though, dwell on it constantly, letting it dominate their actions and choices even when they're aware they shouldn't let it happen.
This article is about them.
#1. Cancer
For Cancer, their friends and family always come first, and that extends not only to their well-being but their opinion.
Cancer's often base their choices and actions on how they'll impact the people they love, and while this can be commendable, it also puts Cancer in a very complicated position where their fear of rejection keeps them from feeling entirely safe in the environment they so love.
In their minds, making a mistake or choice that can potentially hurt their loved ones will get them driven away or expelled, so they prefer to thread as carefully as possible.
The fact that they often make choices based on what they think others want rather than what they want doesn't help things either.
#2. Gemini
It's no surprise to find Gemini on this list. After all, their dual-nature acts against them, pushing them to pursue lofty goals while simultaneously filling them with regret and even dread.
While their second-guessing is often regarded as indecision, it's really more akin to self-doubt; Did they make the right choice? Did they make a mistake? Can they fix it?
Despite popular belief, Geminis can make a choice just fine. Their problem is that they rarely, if ever, feel like they made the right one.
That flighty nature they're known for certainly makes more sense under that light, doesn't it?
#3. Libra
Libras tend to be charismatic and friendly, capable of striking up a fun conversation with a stranger at the drop of a hat.
However, observant people may realize that Libras tend not to talk about themselves, and that's because they hate the idea of people seeing their true selves.
Their true selves are vulnerable and raw, nowhere near the picture-perfect facade they've crafted to show others, so they protect it jealously, and this insecurity fills them with self-doubt.
There's always a little voice in the back of their heads going, "They wouldn't like you if they knew your true self."
#4. Virgo
No one is surprised to find Virgo in this list; after all, their perfectionism and high-standards are a recipe for disaster when it comes to self-doubt.
The thing about Virgos is that, no matter how talented, good or efficient, they're always able to visualize how they could be better, and they compare their actions based on what they could've done, rather than what they did.
This constant pursuit of bigger and better is fantastic for Virgo's professional life, but it tends to be terrible for their self-esteem. After all, when all you focus is on what you could do better, it's hard to feel like what you do is good enough.
#5. Scorpio
Scorpio's self-doubt is a funny thing, and by a funny thing, we mean it's terrible for everyone involved.
Scorpios lash out when they don't feel comfortable, attacking others and bringing them down to their level to feel better about themselves.
However, Scorpios aren't blind to the reasoning behind their actions, so they often feel guilty about lashing out.
What do Scorpios do with that guilt? They weaponize it and direct it at others to avoid feeling it for long, reviving the cycle and ensuring it gets worse and worse with each turn.
Getting out of the self-loathing spiral can be a complicated thing to do for Scorpio, but rest assured it can be done.

Overexplaining my hazbin kins etc
Favs:
Angel dust - his character growth heals my soul. Best thing that happened to me since i found 10 bucks on a street when i was ten.
Sir Pentious - i would die for him, i would kill for him. Either way, what a bliss. I love him i love him i love him i-
Love:
Cherry bomb - she’s an icon, she’s a legend and she is the moment. -1 for wanting angeldust to loose his streak, +1 for respecting his choices.
Husk - half of the time i was sure his name was Hastur (for obvious reasons). He was kind of annoying but turned into one of the brightest green flags in Angel’s life. His voice made me shiver in embarassing ways.
Lucifer - apart from giving Charlie daddy issues, he was perfect. I would buy rubberducks from him.
Nifty - made adam shut up for good, was cute and chaotic evil. I love her.
Velvet - YA GAT IT TWISTED. IM NOT THE ONE WHO NEEDS MEW AATTITUDEEEEE
Like:
Alastor - just expected more from him. Tbh, its almost a love. 50/50. I have set a high bar for him after pilot and i do not intend to lower it down.
Vaggi - i call her veggi all the time. She had some plot twists, but overall she was fine. Her singing voice was not good, expected more from stephanie beatriz after encanto and all of that.
Valentino - he is abusive and i have daddy issues so don’t judge me to hard. Fuck him tho.
Neutral:
Ahh a category for those who did not enough to hate them and not enough to like them. Or made everything to love them and hate them simultaneously.
Adam - jackass, dumbass, mean bitch. I love him.
Carmilla - i don’t like her design, her singing voice was fine. Kinda annoying. I like that she was defending her daughters so much. OUT FOR LOUOUOUOOVE
Charlie - i wish she had bigger character growth. She was kinda annoying and kinda likable. She was fine. I think i like her. 50/50.
Emily - basically charlie 2.0. A little lazy design and writing. I like that she joined charlie on the iconic IF HELL IS FOREVER THEN HEAVEN MUST BE A LIE (would love to see her actually fall - in the best way possible) but as an angel it doesnt really make much sense for her to doubt institution heaven as much as charlie does. She is not a kid anymore, and she still kinda acts like one.
Tv girl - idk what to sat, shes got the spirit, but i dont know what for.
Lute - same as adam.
Mimzy - she was likable and selfish. Shes okay.
*drumroll* Dislike:
Vox - a pretty big disappointment. Expected more from him. He was okay, kinda bringing Vees together, but also he didn’t really add more to them. Disappointing:(
Zestial - disappointed, again. It seemed that everybody fears him, but the writers didn’t really give us as a viewer a reason why to. He was just sort of there, to move the plot ahead and let other characters do the talking and have impact on the story. Had really high hopes for him:(

///BSD Spoilers
In view of the last episode of the anime dropping tomorrow and the fact that this will likely be the finale of the DOA arc, I want to share something I have been thinking about for literal months now.
I think Fukuzawa dies in this arc and I want it to happen.
Listen, I love this man as much as the next person (I mean, one of his defining personality traits is that he adores cats - how can you not love him?!) but I still think that his death would bring many benefits to the plot of BSD going forward.
One, it would actually raise the stakes. So far Asagiri seems to be afraid of killing off his characters and at this point, seeing the tenth death bait of this arc adds nothing but some cheap shock value. Actually killing some characters that have a bigger relevance to the story (and aren't "just" antagonists whom the readers might want dead anyways) would raise the stakes for future arcs. It would show that no one is safe and make the plot armor that some characters have (*cough* Dazai *cough*) less noticeable. Plus, I think an arc as big and disruptive to the Bungou world as this one shouldn't just end with zero casualties. Like, yeah, the ADA has Yosano as their overpowered healer (by the way, where is she??) but it would just feel awfully convenient for her to just step in and undo all the stakes built up in the past several chapters.
Fukuzawa's death would end this arc on a devastating note (even if the ADA can secure a win overall) and emphasize how much this battle has shaken the very core of our cast and their support structure - the Armed Detective Agency.
Which brings me to my second major point. Fukuzawa's death would further the character development of several people. He has had a positive impact on so many characters, not only in the present like with Atsushi but also in the past with Ranpo and Yosano. All members of the ADA would be forced to grow through his loss.
Especially since many of them so far have predominantly been developed through flashbacks (eg. Ranpo, Yosano, Kunikida too if we count the first LN as a flashback).
Yosano and Ranpo would have to deal with the loss of a father figure, someone who quite literally saved both of their lives. Kunikida has been hinted as a potential successor to Fukuzawa since very early on in the manga and would regain a more active part in the story (since he has kinda been serving as Fukuchi's kidnapping victim for the current fight...). He would have to come to terms with what it means to be a leader and how he can deal with the fallout of the current situation while simultaneously handling his grief over his well-respected boss.
Tanizaki could receive some much-needed development.
Kyouka and Atsushi would have to deal with the fact that All Men Are Equal no longer assists them with controlling their abilities. They would have to re-learn how to handle them, at least partly.
Given that he survives, Dazai would face grief of a man who gave him a chance even though he knew of his past. Dazai and Fukuzawa haven't interacted much but he is the first person Dazai loses after Odasaku so this is bound to be interesting in some way.
My third point is that, let's be real, Fukuzawa's character arc peaks in this fight with Fukuchi. We know of his past with Ranpo and how he founded the ADA. We see how he went from being someone who preferred to fight alone to someone who leads a strong organization and supports others with his ability. We have learned of his past with his exes Mori and Fukuchi.
In my opinion, his story is finished, he has had his character arc. I think it would be very fitting for a character like his - a fighter in nature and yet someone who so deeply cares about others - to die in a battle to quite literally save the world.
The fourth reason is more or less speculating where the story will go next. After a long, tension and action laden arc like this, I think it would make sense for the next big story point to start with some form of "cooldown" where everything settles back into its New Normal after the recent events. As bad as this may sound, something like a grieving period for the ADA to mourn their beloved president would be perfect for that. The Agency has to build itself and its reputation back up from the ground after having been accused of terrorism. Also, I'm like 80% sure the events of the DOA arc happened in a week or two - let all of them have a breather.
Plus Asagiri needs time to build up the next big villain (given that Fyodor is defeated, which I really hope because as entertaining as I find him, I cannot bear to see him as the mastermind in another arc. It does get boring after such a long time).
A weakened ADA without its experienced leader could also potentially throw the city's balance off. Especially since Mori still has that deal with the ADA that one member will transfer over to the Port Mafia (food for thought, if Mori and Fukuzawa were the only ones who knew about the condition that Mori cannot pick Yosano but Fukuzawa dies - Can Mori just be an absolute asshole and pick her, now that no one could call him out?).
I was honestly a little bit disappointed after seeing Fukuzawa alive and well in the teaser. But the visuals as well as the title of the episode - Twilight Farewell - could potentially hint at the fact that both Fukuchi and him might die in the episode. And I could live with that just fine.
Anyways, thanks for sitting through this way too long post.
(And if anyone got scared reading this, don't worry, so far all of the predictions and theories I have made about BSD have always been 100% wrong. So writing this might just save Fukuzawa's life lmao.)

What's your stance on the whole secret identity thing for all the previous series so far, especially in the context of the host/human form being in an official government military group ? How would you recommend it to be executed?
Oh this question is so nostalgic, I rmb people always asking me this during the early years of my blog (bruh it's been 7 years holy)
But I maintain my stance that its been a staple frustration every series because imo, it wouldve been far more logical if the hosts were to make their Ultra identity known within their organisation. Not counting those that are purposely undercover for various reasons, but especially those that were totally inexperienced in whatever they were doing.
Let's talk about more recent examples with Trigger and Decker. With Trigger being the worst case example ive ever seen. I believe I've ranted aplenty that it literally dosent make sense for Kengo to hide his Ultra alter-ego when literally the Chairman and scientist himself alr knew about his identity. So wouldn't it be beneficial for everyone else within GUTS-Select to know about it as well so they could better coordinate and support Kengo? And since this knowledge was also accessible to high ranking members, wouldnt Kengo also receive the proper security and guidance as well?
Decker would be the average example of this, with few to none knowing, thus having less of a reason to reveal his identity, but still the same reason why he should reveal, so that he can receive the proper security and guidance, as well as better coordination and support from GUTS-Select
But tbh, this obviously blatant aspect of most series is implemented on purpose. Because of the same reasons why they should've revealed their identity earlier.
Literally because it'll make things ALOT more easier. Think of the different times that a host's henshin item gets stolen, with the extra protection and enhanced security, literally most of these staple plotpoints wouldn't even be possible. And the lack of communication between the host/Ultra and defense team is basically a detriment to joint operations as it basically falls back to how the defense team can interpret what the Ultra is planning to do on the fly.
That's actually why you see that the reveals usually happen during the final arc, because the proper coordination and planning would literally make things far more easier.
But it'll also make episodes far shorter and more boring
And it's more suited to delve into ideas such as the mistrust of the Ultras from the humans/government, politics as well as intricate alien invasions that involve downplaying, misrepresenting or create discord between the Ultra and humans, which we do occasionally see with main series content like Mephilas etc
But since the main series' intended audiences are for children, such ideas are probably way too complex for them to appreciate, so this is literally just there to make things easier to understand for them
Tho, a good example would be what we literally saw with Shin Ultraman with Shin Zarab and Shin Mephilas
For Shin Zarab, he literally sowed discord between humanity and Lipia via Fake Ultraman of course. But also simultaneously, he demonstrated very clear understanding of politics and manipulation of Japan's position in the international stage and we saw the ramifications and political impact with the deal he made with the PM.
For Mephilas, it was a bigger scheme with a deal with the entire humanity itself, essentially intending to have the entirety of humanity as a potential army
And we see how Lipia manoeuvred around all this by selectively revealing his identity to small groups of people as they were necessary to get him out of a pinch. Now this is realistic cause unlike in the main series where defense teams are equipped with Specium ray guns, metallic dragons powered by Absolutian energy or literally kaiju bioweapons, it takes into account the technological level of the real world and on another hand, its Lipia's own decision to go undercover to learn what it means to be human, which is also what we see him trying to slowly figure out throughout the movie
Gosh it was such an AMAZING movie just because of how dense it was with international politics, psychology, Lipia learning how to be human, clash of ideologies between Zoffy and Lipia as well as humanity grasping their own fate and having both the confidence in themselves and Ultraman to overcome adversity
But it's also the same reason why people that didn't like ShinU or found it boring based on people that I talked to, cause they simply weren't used to just how sophisticated and thought-provoking the movie is, as well as Anno's characteristic cinematography skills as they were expecting more of the main content standard, which were literally targeted towards kids
Honestly, so long as the target audience of the main content series aren't targeted towards young adults or above, I literally don't see this changing at all. Which is why even tho it's a really frustrating aspect of the main content, I'm kinda used to it at this point
Thanks for the question!

I talked about this in the rules section, but frankly speaking, when it comes to RP I look for different things that don't include me wrecking my head into be mindful of using pronouns that don't coincide with what's visually perceived. Sometimes in RP I encounter other hardships that is fully IC or about lore I need to revise to name a couple of them, I don't wish to make it harder on me by adding the layer of pronouns. And it's not solely the matter of using different pronouns or not as much as it is what revolves around it. Understandingly, muns will want to explore more on the pronoun territory as part of their own muse(s)'s lore and as someone who pursues to expand more the canonical lore while simultaneously aiming for an individual growth for each muse and them together in whatever relationship their interactions bleed into, that's simply not up my alley.
To put a more precise and concise example: I adore to bits exploring romantic ships, the development of every character and them together. But for the life of me I can't linger endlessly in one single romantic scene or turn it into domesticity without getting bored pretty quickly. It's that staticity it's implied that I don't like and from my perception, going deeper into the pronoun department beyond the superficial stage of just using different pronouns is one of those cases of staticity I tend to slip away from.
🔪: A fandom you refuse to associate with.
Dainsleif belongs to Genshin Impact, so that's what I'm going to focus on. One of the reasons I've decided to stop being associated with this fandom is what I consider to be a niche interest I have. Perhaps this is spread to other fandoms too in a lesser or bigger degree, but I'm not one to indulge 24/7 into shippy or NSFW territory with small things and out of nowhere. Another thing I notice that happens easily is the fluctuation of interest mostly when it's about the coming of a new region, more from a hype standpoint than what I think to be a genuine interest in other than the cosmetic looks of a character, their superficial personality, etc. These are points that make being associated with the fandom unattractive to me, as they don't represent me.

stranger things spoilers (also this is incredibly messy but even tho its not worded 6, i think it gets my point across? im too tired to try to edit it right now 😭)
-
im working on a bigger post analyzing the use of the heart on mikes shield in wills painting and mike being called the heart of the group but like. it’s the way that mikes relationship with el/his feelings for her directly parallels els relationship with her powers/her feelings on them.
i don’t… i don’t think we’re supposed to be saying “mike only loves el when she has powers and is using them to benefit him,” that doesn’t feel right. i think… moreso we’re supposed to look for parallels. mike didnt stop loving el *because* she lost her powers, but he struggled to show affection when she was struggling to use her powers.
when el stopped considering herself a monster because of brenner, and acknowledged that he was fucked up in his actions, she regained control of her powers, and even came back stronger than before. to continue this parallel, mike should simultaneously be renewed in his love for el, and should define their relationship in terms of himself, how he feels about her, instead of doing what he did in season 3, and pointing out his perceived issues with other peoples treatment of el.
but…. as some people have pointed out (if you made a post like this, lmk! id love to find the post i saw about this and give credit), mikes monologue, his confession of love to el, is…. unemotional. everything he lists off about her is factual, it’s details about when they met- it’s things he already knew. he hasn’t grown or changed in how he feels about el, he hasn’t found self stability- he’s still codependent, still reliant on being els boyfriend (im assuming we’re all on the same page about this, but i can explain what i mean by this if we’re not!).
el took the lies being told to her, and all on her own, explained her side of things, added her own thoughts to it all. brenner was trying to get her powers to grow, but it was when el said “no, you’re misconstruing what happened in the lab- it’s not me, it’s you” that she truly grew.
mike took the lies being told to him (by will), and accepted them. he had 100 reasons not to, but for whatever reason (i have thoughts on this, that’s just not the point right now), he didn’t question things. he did not add his own thoughts and feelings to things. he was trying to feel more confident in his and els relationship, and wills feelings became “els, not wills”
i worded this weird, sorry- els powers become stronger when she accepts the truth about what happened in the lab. mikes feelings for el, his ability to act in love with her, becomes stronger when he doesnt accept the truth about his and els feelings. even when he’s working with true, genuine feelings, he’s misattributing their origin, and thus his “return” of them is inherently a lie. there’s no love, no feeling, in his “response to els feelings” (the monologue, and how factual it was) because… that’s not how el feels.
again. wording is horrible i am so physically tired rn and this went so many places but… i don’t think mikes feelings for el are reliant on her powers. i don’t think her ability to use her powers directly determines whether or not mike loves her. i think instead, that there’s a parallel between el being strong enough to value and love herself in the face of her abusive parent figure, her powers being stronger when she faces the lies being told to her, and mike not being strong enough to face the lies being told to him, rather accepting them as the truth, thus worsening the lie he’s telling himself- that he’s in love with eleven (which, im of the view that mike is struggling with internalized homophobia due to his upbringing/childhood)
they’re not responsible for each other- i don’t think mikes feelings for el impacted her powers (i know, i know “but she was stronger after he confessed!” shhh. no. more on why that’s bd later), and i don’t think els powers impacted mikes feelings for her. i think that els ability to find inner strength and take the difficult road to the happy truth is represented by her relationship with her powers, and i think mikes inability to confront the easy lie which is so burdensome to live is represented by his relationship with el. el is struggling with accepting that her powers are just another part of her, and she’s not horrible for having them, and mike is struggling with accepting who he truly loves, and that his sexuality is just another part of him.
el confronts the lie she’s being told, stops telling herself it, and then her powers grow. mike accepts the lie he’s being told, keeps telling himself it, and… he and el aren’t talking, they’re just not breaking up anymore. their bond is weaker because he’s not acknowledging the truth of it, he’s living based off lies.

I’ve been finding myself more organized recently. I have more focus and I can see the bigger picture of all of my actions. It is giving my life meaning again. I used to hate structure and order and desire chaos and formlessness. There is this infinite balance I am holding simultaneously. To be passionate and grounded and to have a touch of pride. On the other end I love to explore and create and move on to things quickly. I am learning to create depth by staying persistent, while at the same time I cultivate flow by learning when and how to walk away when I am spinning in circles. If I have an infinite supply of pencils crayons and I turn each pencil crayon on its side so I can shade, I will only see so much colour. If I take this to an extreme degree I could use every colour in the universe in such a slight and subtle shade and while I would have access to an infinite array of colours, none of them would contain the depth to be seen or make any meaningful impact. On the other hand I could have the colour blue and turn the pencil crayon more upright. I could press down harder and while I may not have infinity, I will have something worth showing. I will have depth and value. Somewhere in the middle of these dichotomies, life happens. The freedom of infinite choice and the discipline to follow through on those choices.

'Doctor Who fans have been accustomed to the show’s regeneration concept for almost 60 years. However, the show has now introduced a new form of regeneration that fundamentally impacts the show.
Both diehard and moderate fans of Doctor Who will know how the regeneration process works. While it was undoubtedly a shocking idea in 1966 when it was introduced, it has become one of the most defining aspects of the show. To get around the problem of actors aging or moving on to new projects, Doctor Who introduced regeneration. The Doctor, an alien Time Lord, can regenerate when they reach old age or are fatally injured. It’s not much different than how our cells regularly replace themselves over time. However, in this case, the Doctor regenerates all their cells simultaneously, resulting in a new physical body with a unique personality.
There have only been a few minor changes in the regeneration process in the show’s history. Although the Doctor initially only had 12 regenerations, they were later granted more, a predictable change for the show to keep going. The only other major change was when the Thirteenth Doctor (Jodi Whittaker) regenerated into the same body as the Tenth Doctor (David Tennant). It was the first time the Doctor regenerated into a past face, but it didn’t feel too significant since fans knew Ncuti Gatwa had already signed on to be the new Doctor. Thus it was assumed to be a fun way to bring Tennant back temporarily for the Doctor Who 60th-anniversary specials. However, fans have now learned that Tennant’s return wasn’t temporary due to a new concept called bi-generation.
What is bi-generation in Doctor Who?
Viewers had quite a shock at the end of the Doctor Who special, “The Giggle,” when the Fourteenth Doctor (Tennant) begins regenerating after being killed by the Toymaker (Neil Patrick Harris). Surprisingly, he doesn’t regenerate into Gatwa’s Doctor immediately. After the regeneration process happens, he still looks like Tennant. That is until he’s pulled apart, and it’s revealed that he’s now two people—Tennant’s Fourteenth Doctor and Gatwa’s Fifteenth Doctor. Everyone on the show utters a resounding, “What?!” So, what did happen?
It turns out the Doctor bi-generated. Instead of regenerating into a new person, the newest incarnation of the Doctor was able to split from the old one, creating two separate Doctors. Both still have the Doctor’s memory but have a distinct physical body and personality. They did split the clothes the Fourteenth Doctor was wearing, with the Fifteenth Doctor getting his underpants, shoes, shirt, and tie to ensure he was appropriate for the camera. However, they’re more like twins than like clones.
Then, of course, the TARDIS also bi-generated to give each of them a TARDIS and allow them to live separate lives. As for how the bi-generation happened—we’re not entirely sure. The Doctor indicated the concept was known but thought to be a myth. It appears to have happened spontaneously, and it’s unknown if it will occur again. Just like cells can regenerate, though, they can also split, so this is likely where the bi-generation process comes from.
What does bi-generation mean for Doctor Who?
The bi-generation appears to be permanent in Doctor Who, as “The Giggle” ends with the Fourteenth Doctor hunkering down with Donna Noble (Catherine Tate) and her family while the Fifteenth Doctor prepares to take on the Doctor’s typical role of traveling the galaxy and saving the world. It’s unclear if the Fourteenth Doctor’s story is over or if he’ll return in the franchise’s future since he’s still a part of the universe.
However, Doctor Who showrunner Russell T. Davies warned fans that the bi-generation is “bigger than you think.” Davies hit fans with the idea that the bi-generation impacted all of the Doctor incarnations. He suggested every past incarnation split from the Doctor and is now living in a splinter timeline, thus creating a “Doctor-verse.” Still, Davies suggested that all these past Doctor won’t be explored in the main show, stating that Tennant was “parked,” and the show would be about the new Doctor who “is out amongst the stars.”
So, perhaps the bi-generation won’t impact the main series noticeably. The continued existence of other Doctors and the Doctorverse, though, creates the possibility for some spinoff series or movies featuring past incarnations.'

IB Chemistry Internal assessment ideas
Welcome to Ibchemistry.com
Understanding the request for responses in science is critical for anticipating and dissecting compound responses. In this aide, we will investigate the key ideas connected with response rates, rate regulations, and the variables that impact the request for responses. Whether you're an understudy concentrating on science or essentially inquisitive about the subject, this far reaching guide will furnish you with the information you want.
Top IB Chemistry Online Resource - Notes, Worksheets & Lectures
Response rates assume a key part in science, as they decide how rapidly a response happens. In this part, we will present the idea of response rates and talk about why they are significant. We will likewise investigate factors that can influence response rates, like temperature, focus, and impetuses. By understanding response rates, you will actually want to successfully foresee and control substance responses more. So how about we make a plunge and investigate the captivating universe of response rates!
Deciding the request for a response is a significant stage in grasping the energy of a compound response. The request for a response alludes to the numerical connection between the convergence of reactants and the pace of the response. It assists us with understanding how the pace of the response changes concerning changes in focus. There are a few strategies to decide the request for a response, including the underlying rate technique, the strategy for coordinated rate conditions, and the strategy for half-life. Every technique enjoys its benefits and constraints, yet they all give important bits of knowledge into the response system and permit us to make forecasts about the way of behaving of the response under various circumstances. So we should investigate these techniques and figure out how to decide the request for a response in science.
Rate regulations are numerical articulations that depict the connection between the pace of a substance response and the groupings of the reactants. They are resolved tentatively and can give significant data about the response instrument. The rate regulation condition ordinarily appears as "rate = k[A]^m[B]^n", where "k" is the rate steady, "[A]" and "[B]" are the groupings of the reactants, and "m" and "n" are the response orders concerning every reactant. The response request not entirely set in stone by looking at the underlying paces of the response at various reactant focuses. By understanding rate regulations, physicists can anticipate what changes in reactant fixations will mean for the pace of the response and arrive at informed conclusions about response conditions and impetuses.
There are a few factors that can influence the pace of a synthetic response. These incorporate temperature, convergence of reactants, surface region, presence of an impetus, and the idea of the reactants. Temperature: Expanding the temperature for the most part builds the pace of a response. This is on the grounds that higher temperatures give more energy to the reactant particles, permitting them to impact all the more oftentimes and with more prominent energy. Fixation: Higher convergences of reactants regularly lead to quicker response rates. This is on the grounds that a higher fixation implies there are more reactant particles in an allowed volume, expanding the possibilities of effective crashes. Surface Region: Expanding the surface area of strong reactants can likewise build the response rate. This is on the grounds that a bigger surface region gives more contact focuses to reactant particles, taking into consideration more continuous impacts. Impetuses: Impetuses are substances that can accelerate a response without being consumed simultaneously. They work by furnishing an elective response pathway with lower enactment energy. This permits more reactant particles to have sufficient energy to beat the actuation energy boundary and continue with the response. Nature of Reactants: The idea of the reactants can likewise influence the response rate. A few responses include complex particles or particles that require more energy to respond. In these cases, the response rate might be more slow contrasted with responses including easier atoms. By getting it and controlling these variables, scientists have some control over and enhance response rates for different applications in ventures like drugs, materials science, and ecological science.

Hosachiguru Farmland -The Karnataka Land Reforms Act
Two notable events happened in the year 2020. The Covid-19 pandemic made people prioritize health over anything else. They started to look for options other than traditional real estate that would help them not only in the long run but also in the present times, and what better farmland takes you closer to nature.
Simultaneously, the Karnataka government heard the calls of the urban populace, and amended the old, archaic Karnataka Land Reforms Act, by easing the restrictions that existed on the ownership of agricultural land in Karnataka state.
This much-needed amendment has now opened the doors for any individual/institution to own farmland in Bangalore, Karnataka.
Tumblr media
Implications of the Act:
The amendments to these archaic laws have opened up the agricultural business, a sector that is witnessing an influx of investments. In fact, the people owning these lands will themselves benefit from these reforms because it opens up their land to different avenues and opportunities.
Karnataka’s already thriving service sector will receive an even bigger boost. Infrastructure, tourism, transport, and hospitality will all demand an increase in investment and manpower, and this Act facilitates the impetus.
More than anything, it’s the common Karnataka citizen whom this Act will impact the most. People will no longer have to travel to another state to purchase land. Many agriculture enthusiasts who dream of owning land despite not having an agricultural background can now fulfill their dream.

Automation testing - the definition
Automation testing is no longer a rarity in software development; somewhat, it has become an everyday epidemic. SHIFT ASIA understands that finding the perfect blend of convenience and quality can be hard to achieve. We have become industry leaders by offering comprehensive services to our clients and sophisticated tools for high-end projects – ensuring utmost reliability when outsourcing automation tests in not only vulnerability assessment, but also in software quality assurance and more.
Manual testing is often found complicated and time-consuming and no longer stays up to market demand. In this race against other competitors, outsourcing IT services especially quality assurance and software test automation services are popular amongst the software development industry.
What is automation testing?
Automation Testing is a process of testing software and other tech products using automated testing tools to ensure they meet the product’s set-defined requirements. It executes automatic tests to verify code for bugs, defects, and any other issues that might have happened in the product development process.
Being automatic is an advantage as testers can run testing at any time of the day. After examining the software, it reports what it found and compares it with the test runs. Automation testing has been gradually adopted and favored by software quality testers. In a recent report of Kobiton on the State of Software Test Automation 2022-23, 97% of respondents admitted that they have been using some form of automation in their software testing daily. They are willing to implement automated tests on a much bigger scale than before to yield and embrace the benefits of automation testing, such as the following.
The advantages of automation testing
Cost and time reduction
With automation testing, tests can be run 24/7 repeatedly at no additional cost. It helps track down bugs, defects, and malfunctions faster in the early stages. Hence, getting them sorted out immediately, saving resources, cutting down the enormous expenses, and avoiding the exponential cost of fixing bugs later on, heavily impacts the product functionalities, user journeys, and the product time release itself.
Parallel and continuous testing
Test automation enables testing to be run continuously without getting interrupted while allowing the execution of separate test automation scripts simultaneously. Each script consumes different resources, which optimizes your testing process and improves the testing practices. This means testing involved during and throughout the product development process, in place of solving the bottleneck at the end of the development cycle.
Scalability and time-to-market
Many might have believed costs are the #1 advantage of automation testing. In reality, test automation aims to enhance the customer experience on the products, improving product functionalities and speeding up the product’s time-to-market. Manual testing takes anywhere from 3-5 days to complete, but only 3-6 hours with automation testing (according to Kobiton’s report).
Automation testing offers great scalability where training and getting additional testers involved are unnecessary. Tests can be implemented in a matter of minutes, and this tremendously shortens the production delivery timeline, meaning faster product time-to-market.

From Mahsa Amini to Tyre Nichols
(Spontaneous Combustion Opposed to Preplanned Demolition)
Stephen Jay Morris
1/28/2023
©Scientific Morality
What burns my asshole is that the Conservatives might all be vindicated for the January 6, 2020 coup d’etat. “How?” you ask. When the rocks start flying and the buildings start burning, the Right-wing media will show footage of the riots. Maybe, they’ll even throw in some stock footage of the Chicago riots of 1968. The stupid ass viewers won’t know the difference! At that point, the January 6th rioters will look like patriots.
If protesters practice refractory Zen and employ passive resistance, or even civil disobedience, the general public just might sympathize with them. However, Right-wing provocateurs, dressed up like Antifa in black ski masks, will simultaneously infiltrate the marches. They’ll do their vandal shit and encourage violence against the cops. This actually happened during the George Floyd rebellion some time back.
So, what was the big alibi for January 6th? That it was infiltrated by Antifa and it was their fault! Thank Buddha, this was a laughable fantasy! After the public rejected this idiotic premise, they blamed FBI agents. Can this Right-wing tactic work again? Hell, yeah, it could!
The Islamic State of Iran is as big as the State of Idaho. When Mahsa Amini got murdered by Iran's morality police, that entire country erupted into demonstrations. It was like Paris in 1968, when the students united with the workers in a general strike. And, alas, like with all outbursts of public outrage, nothing was resolved. The only way democracy can replace dictatorships is through revolution. Definitely not the Neo-Liberals’ delusion of America invading Iran, handing them a democratic country, and then drilling for oil.
A handful of Confederate soldiers were black slaves. This can be verified historically. There were also black slave hunters who, when a slave escaped, they’d hunt them down and capture them. They’d return them to the plantation, where the White masters would have the black slave hunter whip the black escapee until he bled to death.
What does this have to do with Tyre Nichols? Everything! When White cops kill a Black man, they get assigned paid leave, only to return to a handsome raise and promotion. When Black cops kill a Black suspect, they are immediately suspended without pay. I’ve since heard that they all got fired. What they did was a racist act: They killed Tyre under orders of the White police captain...allegedly.
Now, we will see angry protests and it will all be labeled “woke.” Woke is the new epithet for the 20’s; the new N-word. “Another woke riot!” What a fucking confabulation!
So, solutions? I know my solutions are not inerrant, but it’s a dirty job and somebody’s got to do it. Instead of having a civil temper tantrum, how about an assiduous revolution? How about taking steps in transforming a corrupt society? Now, I am not talking about robbing a bank to finance the revolution. Armed struggle? That is the last resort. I am talking about strategies to outsmart a nuclear-powered republic. Remember: the enemy has the weapons; we have the numbers. Maybe we can smash the state through a bloodless revolution. It’s not impossible. Gandhi almost did it in India. Martin Luther King, Jr. tried to use nonviolent resistance and it almost worked. Why not do the same?
When the cops beat the shit out of you and people witness it on social media, sympathy will go towards you. It is a bigger sacrifice to endure excruciating pain than to die for the revolution. Look at how the optics of the crucifixion has lasted for thousands of years. If Jesus would have used an A-R 15 and shot a fusillade of bullets at Roman soldiers, the whole point of the gospel of Christ would have been mute. When cops used high-powered fire hoses and German Shepherds to attack civil rights activists, it had greater impact upon the public than Black Panthers posing with rifles.
What’s going to happen in the immediate future? These protests will be heated and then fade away. Maybe by the time the time you read this, it will all have come to pass.
