maybe that wasn’t the best choice if you wanted Anne to remember your deal, Domino 3
my speculation/headcanon is that the girls, immediately upon their final return from Amphibia, were picked up by Mr. X and his team and brought to a secure facility, for the purpose of retaining their privacy while the FBI worked on PR following the invasion and Anime Girl vs Lizard Robot battle, and to give them some much needed medical treatment/examination.
They stay there for a short while under observation. Sasha gets her back patched up properly, Marcy is given some transfusions to normalize her fluids after the “rejuv tank green blood” incident, and they do some scans on Anne to see if there’s any trace of the blue anime power still in her system. Mr. and Mrs. Boonchuy are on site working with Mr. X, discussing possible witness protection programs, privacy for the girls, what to do about their missed year of school, etc, and Sasha and Marcy’s parents are FINALLY contacted.
i love Joe Johnston’s Non-Canon Alternate Ending , and the idea of Anne forgetting her deal with Domino 3 and just passing on. This is my interpretation, that Anne gets the occasional flash of memory for her time “in between” with Domino 3, such as naming her next cat Domino 4. But even when some of those events come back to her, she doesn’t recall specifics in her waking mind. Anything she can remember feels like a very distant dream.

this is the first thing I've written in like months so i, greatly apologise for any issues <333 but the silly sashanne be upon you !!

the walk back to wartwood is quiet. after the adrenaline of the mission had dissipated into the dying hours of the day, their small group had fallen into a tired silence. even the plantar's, who sasha is convinced never shut up, spoke only in small, mumbled bursts.
she likes it, sasha realises as she falls into step beside anne. the quiet means that sasha could organise her thoughts, place them all into their own little boxes to bring processed at a later date – hopefully a date in which she wasn't worrying about the fate of an alien planet, or her dead-not-dead best friend.
sasha must've sighed, because not a moment later a warm hand interlocks with her own ungloved hand.
"you alright?" anne asks, her breath tickling sasha's cheek as she moves closer.
sasha nods, a small, tired smile on her face. "mhm," she hums in further response. "just tired, mainly."
even though she isn't looking, sasha can feel anne's concerned gaze burning into her. "have you not been sleeping?"
"it's quite difficult to sleep when you're commanding an army," she scoffs, the words coming out harsher than she meant. guilt settles in her stomach like cement, and she glances over to anne, an apology already falling out of her chapped lips.
anne frowns, cutting off sasha's stream of apologies. "you need to stop apologising so much, sash, it's weird," anne laughs quietly, squeezing sasha's hand when she lets out her own small puff of air. "but, in all seriousness, you look tired – don't roll your eyes at me, waybright-"
"i didn't! i blinked!"
a smile graces sasha's face as anne bumps her shoulder against hers.
"whatever you say, sash." the warmth in anne's eyes creates a buzz in sasha's chest and she can't stop the redness rising in her cheeks. "or should i call you 'commander' now?"
"shut up!" sasha laughs, giving anne a gentle shove with her free hand. "no one really calls me that, it's just a formality."
"i should make it a trend then, get everyone doing it," anne grins, watching as sasha turns bright red.
"don't you dare!" sasha cries, her hair falling to hide her face.
"awe," anne laughs, tugging sasha closer again. "don't worry, i won't… commander."
sasha rolls her eyes and turns away. "you are the worst, annie."
giggling, anne leans into sasha's side. "love you too, sash."

A lot of people relate Sunny to Kris, with both missing their sibling and being quiet and being the main character... But then there's Noelle.
She lost a sister too, we don't even know if she's dead. She misses her so much that it manifests in her "dream world." She tries her best to help and be useful and to prove herself to people. Just like Sunny. I think they'd understand each other....

Amphibia had a great ending that wasn’t properly set up. It wasted time with filler.
The Owl House completely botched the ending by mismanaging its remaining time and failing to develop its characters.
Both shows dropped the ball in different areas.
We can’t blame Disney.

Thinking about that one time someone pointed out that Molly Jo is inspired by Mary Jane Watson from spiderman which means she could have the same initials as her and since MJ's initials are MJW that can mean the W in Molly Jo's name is Waybright 😀....

“Anne, help! They’re right above me!” Marcy yelled, panic filling her voice.
Anne ran towards her, but she could hear the gunshots even from her distance. “Marcy, hang on, I’m coming!” She couldn’t make it in time, though, the rain of bullets obviously too much for either of them to take on. “Sasha’s already dead, I can’t lose you too!”
“I’m sorry, Anne. This is the end. Maybe I’ll see you again in another life.”
“Say ‘hi’ to Sasha for me.” Anne said, grief in her voice. She finally made it to where Marcy had been, but now her body was on the ground, and their enemies were right in front of her. She didn't stand a chance, but she was able to kill one enemy before she too died right next to her girlfriends.
She let out a cartoonish dying noise, and Marcy snorted a laugh.
“You guys are so dramatic,” Sasha complained as they all respawned.
Marcy shook her head, although none of them could see her. “It would’ve really helped to win that round.”
Anne interjected, before the round could start back up again. “And we won’t win this round if you don’t get along.”
Sasha pointed her pretend gun at Anne. “Maybe we should make this a little more interesting, then.”
Anne, intrigued, reciprocated by pointing her gun in her girlfriend’s direction, as if that meant she was answering “go on”.
“Whoever gets the most kills this game gets to host the next reunion.”
Anne maneuvered her character to look at the ground. “But you already have double my kills.”
Sasha just ran away. “Come on, the round’s starting.”
Marcy groaned as she died quickly that round, too. "I don't think we're gonna win this one."
Marcy was right: they lost after four more rounds. Sasha would have been disappointed if she hadn't ended up with the most kills. "Not a complete loss."
Looking at the kills, Anne sighed. They had traveled so many times for each other, it had become routine. All she was really hoping for was to be able to play video games in the same room again. She always seemed to play better with her girlfriends in the room.
None of them usually preferred fighting games, but they had found them to be fun to play at a long distance. Anyway, Marcy liked the lore, Sasha liked the mechanics, and Anne liked that they could match usernames.
“I’m tired,” Marcy moaned. They were all in different time zones, but no matter how late it got, they all had a hard time saying goodbye.
“One more match?” Anne asked, already queuing the next game up. "We can't end on a loss."
“This has to be the last one, though. I have work in the morning,” Sasha said. These late night gaming sessions hadn’t been kind to their work schedules, and Sasha always had a hard time waking up in the mornings.
"Yep. Last one," Marcy promised, and Anne agreed even though they all knew that would not be their last game of the night.
