YONE
No matter where you go, Yone brings you on fantastic dates. It's never popular tourist-trap type outings, either. If you ask how the hell he even found out about your date locations, he smiles coyly and says he can't reveal his sources. Regardless, expect lots of breathtaking, original dates—hidden trails that spill into breathtaking clumps of wildflowers, a hole-in-the-wall burger joint with the best fries you've had in tour entire life, tiny sculpture parks with some truly absurd statues (he absolutely refuses to delete the unflattering pic of you squatting next to a caked-up stone Sasquatch).
He isn't on his phone often, so don't be surprised if Yone doesn't text you back quickly or is overly-formal with his messages. Wild horses couldn't drag a silly emoji or a meme out of him. If you're lucky, you'll get a red heart, but that's about it. He tries not to make you feel neglected just because he's a dry texter, though. Especially when he's on tour, he calls you to check in whenever he's got a spare moment.
Yone's a chronic meal-skipper so he really appreciates if you share your food with him. Be warned, though, if you force him to step away from work and sit down for dinner you're either getting five minutes and a cup of instant ramen, or he's cooking you a three course meal complete with different appetizer, entree, and dessert wines. There's no in-between.
While Yone's not a fan of PDA, he holds your hand through every big event you're forced to attend. He doesn't appreciate the attention and flashing lights, but your warm, reassuring grip keeps him calm and relatively content.
Matching outfits are a little bit too much, but Yone is all for wearing clothing that compliments yours. Think similar textures, colors, and cuts. If you're wearing athleisure, he'll throw on a pair of stylish sweatpants. You're rocking the all black fit, so is he (with a pop of color in his earrings, probably—if he's completely monochrome, Kayn accuses him of "stealing his look"). Though he thinks it's a little cringy to be exact matches, he's definitely down to coordinate.
Whenever Yone makes himself a coffee, he whips up a glass of your favorite beverage as well. Nothing is too complicated—if you want a latte, he can make any flavor, and he'll pour the foam into a heart shape on top. Boba? No problem, he's got tapioca pearls in your favorite flavor and large straws on hand, to boot. A mimosa? Okay, he might raise his eyebrow at that one and point out that it's like eleven A.M.—nevertheless, if it's a mimosa you want, then it's a mimosa you'll get. Part of this is because he loves you, of course, but also? He hates sharing his coffee and figures that you won't ask for a sip if you've got your own drink.
Yone absolutely melts when you take care of him. He's used to looking after everyone else's wants and needs, so it's a pleasant surprise when someone extends that same care and attention to him. Cook him his favorite meal or take care of his laundry when he's been extra busy, and he looks at you like you're the eight wonder of the world. "You didn't have to do that for me," he cups your face gently, sweeping an appreciative kiss over your forehead. "But I'm glad that you did."
Chivalry is not dead and Yone's the man giving it CPR. Count on him to be the perfect gentleman. He opens every door for you, takes your coat whenever you drop by his studio, and no, under no circumstances will he let you pull out your own chair.
Yone's pet-names are sweet and classic. Most often, he calls you 'my darling', but he'll occasionally pepper in a 'dearest' or 'lover' for variety.
One of Yone's favorite ways to spend a free evening with you is sneaking into underground music shows. The two of you will turn up to somebody's house where the living room has been cleared to throw together a makeshift stage, or an abandoned warehouse with people clustering together and swaying to synthetic beats blasting through mid-grade speakers. More often than not, the musicians aren't that good (but that's par for the course with these kind of shows). The atmosphere can't be beat, though. And, when you do stumble upon somebody's garage band that actually goes hard, it's always an exciting surprise. Yone always keeps cash on him in case somebody's selling merch. He snags two stickers, one for you to keep and one to paste on his guitar case. What better way to commemorate shitty bands and crowded house shows than with matching stickers?
If you tag along with him on tour or business trips, Yone's first mission is to scout out a good coffee shop. Of course he takes you along, and buys you whatever little treats catch your eye. Sweets, sandwiches, snacks—anything he notices you ogling behind the glass, he orders for you.
Even with his massively packed schedule Yone NEVER, EVER forgets an important date. Expect gifts on birthdays and anniversaries, and extra love and support on dates that might be difficult for you.
Since Sett's a master crocheter, Yone pays him a frankly absurd amount to make you a plushie that looks like his fox mask. Yone knows that it can't be easy for you, with him away touring or on business so much of the time. The stuffed snuggle-buddy, he hopes, can ease your loneliness when he's away. Before he sets off on a long trip he makes sure to spritz your stuffie with his cologne, so that you can squish it in your sleep and dream that he's right there with you.
Yone's not a huge cuddler. Too much physical attention can make him feel smothered. The exception is when you sit on his lap. He loves when you settle onto him while he's working. As long as you're quiet and still (he doesn't want you to disturb his flow, after all), he basks in your comfortable warmth and the adorable way you tuck yourself into his chest.

YES please pretty please talk about your historical life series au
So, the setting is roughly late 1900s to early 1910s. Pre-war era England. London to be specific, though I am looking for a specific year to set this in (partly for the sake of character design)
The au contains all members of the life series, but some don't have set roles yet and I'm open to input on those, as well as ideas for characters who already have roles
The central characters are Joel and Scar (and to an extent, Grian), though the story is more from Joel's perspective overall.
Joel is an artist, as a reference to his empires s1. He was raised by his aunt and uncle in Yorkshire, along with his cousin but moved to London at a young age to pursue his career in art.
Scar is an American nouveau riche car manufacturer (a reference to hermitcraft S8) who recently moved to England and is a new patron of Joel's art.
Ren is Scar's old money neighbour who has a suspiciously familiar manservant. Spoiler but Ren is also the legitimate brother of Joel.
Martyn was the second son of an Earl and highly respected officer in the British army, however he died recently. Another spoiler, he faked his death and is disguised as Ren's manservant.
Grian is another neighbour of Scar's, though his family's wealth goes back much less far. Grian grew up with Martyn and Ren but has a deep hatred for the two of them and is determined to find something to ruin their reputation, such as an illegitimate sibling or the truth about a suspicious death.
Gem is an officer in the British army who replaced Martyn after his death. She has been disguised as a man since joining the army and is widely disrespected due to her age, despite how strict she is with the troops, rivalling many other officers.
Etho is an older army officer and the only person who knows Gem's status as he was the one who helped her make her way into the army.
Cleo is Martyns so called widow, making her a dowager. Don't ask why there was so much alcohol at her husbands funeral, a woman may cope however she pleases.
Scott is Cleo's new fiancé after the death of Martyn. He is a bankrupt noble due to a series of bad investments at the hand of his older brother and has agreed to marrying a wealthy dowager (Cleo)
Lizzie is Joel's ex-fiance who went missing a few years ago. Yet another spoiler, she got heavily involved in the suffragette movement (theyre the violent ones, the suffragists were the more peaceful ones) and is on the run from the law and under Cleos protection.
The two with less fleshed out roles at the moment are Jimmy, Joel's cousin he was raised with in Yorkshire, and Mumbo, a mechanic who works for Scar, so they need to be further developed
Then there's Pearl, Impulse, Bdubs, Skizz, BigB are Tango who I honestly have no clue where to fit them in here so please give me ideas 🥺👉👈 i literally love using that sequence of emojis its so silly
Places I took inspiration from for this are: A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder (Musical), The Unexpected Heiress (Visual Novel) and The Gentleman's Guide to Vice and Virtue (Book Series)
The last one is set in a completely different time period (1700s), however I took inspiration from it's mystery aspects (this also only applies to the first two books in the series) (it also has no relation to GGLAM, ignore their similar names, and the fact both have main characters who go by Monty)
(By the way, don't expect perfect historical accuracy, this is not the time period I've studied the most extensively. The one I have studied is not really suitable for Minecraft fanfiction, however I am still a history lover.)

Stay in Sight
Sum: Tangerine isn't supposed to be doing anything too dangerous while he's recovering. The same isn't said for you.
AN: I'm sorry to who requested this that it took a minute. Work hit me with OT so I wrote this on my phone during breaks. Please excuse the grammar.
Saturday night at the mall is a busy place. It’s a big building, an easy place to get lost in or to lose someone in. Barely an hour in the building and already three different announcements were made for kids to meet their families at the front.
Tangerine was about to the be the next one.
“Stupid, mustached, sexy idiot…” You muttered while sliding through the contacts. Looking over the banister as if Tangerine will be one floor down, staring right up at you and waving. “Better answer.”
It’s only been three weeks since Tangerine was carried to your door. Covered in blood, a hole in his throat sew together by a back-alley doctor and breathing just enough to prove that he wasn’t dead. Lemon looked exhausted, but he was the only one in control during this time. Good thing, too. Otherwise the neighbors would have heard your screams at seeing Tangerine like this.
The first week was spent with Tangerine in bed. You and Lemon took shifts sitting by his side. To make sure that the wound was clean, but also to be sure that the idiot didn’t try to get up before he was at least a bit better.
A few rings and your call goes to voice mail. Of course Tangerine wouldn’t answer, this was likely his plan all along. Go out somewhere and then sneak away the moment you let go of his hand. He’s being trying to do this since you let him get up from bed: whether it was to visit the gym, pick up some food or even just take a piss you were making sure he wasn’t doing something else.
“We’re taking that two-month vacation, Babe. Whether you like it or not.” You had told him one night when he wanted to step out for a smoke. He had smiled when you said that. Which was probably when you should have known he was already planning something.
Next option was Lemon. Quickly scrolling your contacts until the little fruit emoji showed.
One ring and he picked up; “What’s up?”
“Where’s Tangerine?” You ask, still scanning over the people from the second-floor banister.
“Well, hello to you too, Love. I don’t get a greeting or nothing?” Lemon says with a fake voice of sorrow. He is definitely part of Tangerine’s plan.
“Lemon, please…”
“He’s alright, I swear. He’s just doing some shopping.”
Shopping, at least he wasn’t lying about needing to stop by the mall. Just trying to find him would be the real bear.
“You know where he is, then? Is he safe?” You were starting to sound like a concerned mother more than a girlfriend right now. “Damn it, Lemon, I just got him back.”
Lemon, always the big brother, is quick to change his voice. “Hey, hey. It’s gonna be okay. I’m worried just like you, ‘kay? But he’s not going anywhere and I’m making sure of it this time.”
“You’re watching him right now, aren’t you?” You ask.
“’course I am.” He says although he claimed to have had a date today and couldn’t come. “I’m not letting that prick out of my sight either. And I hope you like pearls ‘cause he’s spending our last two jobs on them.”
Usually you would have laughed at that comment. But slight pressure of a person stepping into your space made you silent. It wasn’t Tangerine who was suddenly so close you could be spooning. Even if you didn’t have this conversation with Lemon you couldn’t pretend Tangerine was right behind you.
Tangerine was a firm presence with a cool, sometimes cold, feeling in his hands. It made goosebumps on your arms when he touches you. It excites when he finally talks after placing a kiss on your head. This person wasn’t Tangerine, but they certainly were a threat.
Especially when they leaned into your ear and whispered; “If you don’t want him to have another hole in his neck. You’ll hang up.”
“I wouldn’t mind moving him towards something else if you-.” Lemon was interrupted by the practical slamming of your phone. Silencing the only contact to your man or your friend you hand.
“Good girl,” The stranger seemingly coos. Sliding their hand into yours like a lover. “Very good girl. Now come along.”
The stranger was a woman. A non-descript white woman who would fit in with the countless other college students meandering around. Perhaps just a few years older and with quit a bit more confidence. She pulls your hand close, forcing you into her side where she puts an arm around you. Your phone now hers as she slides it into her coat like it’s no big deal.
“Sorry you’re part of this,” She says, voice low next to your head. “But a debts’ gotta be paid and you’re the only money Tangerine’s got.”
It’s pointless to ask but you do so anyway; “Who are you?”
He smiles like you are just oh-so-cute. “I’m your new best friend, Baby. Let’s go for a ride.”
The mall was still busy and seemed to be only made worse by the situation. This woman held you too close to try and slip away from. If she’s anything like the people Tangerine and Lemon usually deal with there would be no point in trying anyway. Best case scenario you would make some distance. Worst case and Tangerine is dead, along with several bystanders who have no way of knowing what is going on.
On the escalator a family denim jacket and tie peaks out from the crowd on the lower floor. Although he was a big man Lemon was pretty good at blending in with the crowd. Especially when he just stand next to a protein shack or some other gym bros and not look a bit out of place.
He make eye-contact and only needs a light shake of your head to understand. His own phone out and talking into with a smile. Totally not talking to Tangerine or anything, and certainly not walking in your same direction for any particular reason.
Into the parking garage and This woman is walking faster. She doesn’t give off any other impression than someone wanting to get their girl home real fast. The only hitch in the camouflage was the Cobalt taking a sharp turn right in front of you. Trunk ready to be opened.
Fear and logic two warriors fighting in your head. On one hand the fear makes you think of the trunk. A second location means nothing but death. If you don’t go in then Tangerine is gone. Lemon will have to live through his brother’s death again or killed himself.
On the other hand logic tells you to scream. Shove This woman hard as you can and starting running just as strong. Normal circumstance says that they won’t bother chasing if you run into a populated area screaming. It’s usually not worth the risk. Usually.
You don’t have time to think about which warrior you want to win. Metal is already hitting your knees and gravity takes you forward. Face first into the dark trunk that is quickly slammed shut behind you. Nothing to look for and nothing to find but the rough ground and harsh sides you could never hope to punch through.
“Lemon! LEMON!” You immediately start screaming, open hands slamming on the trunk roof. “Get Tangerine! Get Tangerine!”
Your man was still injured; he had left the apartment today with a pretty white bandage around his throat. You were gently when placing it on. Giving him a soft kiss when you were done. Smiling when he chuckled at the gesture. Demanding one onto his mouth as well.
The car takes a sharp right turn and you still almost feel his facial hair during that kiss. It’s almost enough to distract you from being slammed around from all the turning and sharp takes.
“Where is Tangerine?!” You scream, sure that they can hear you. “He better be okay!”
Although you yelled this like a threat, it wasn’t like you could do anything. These people weren’t like normal thugs and punks on the street. Who would run away at a warning shot into the ground or surprised by a brave victim. These were the kind of people who were after revenge against Tangerine.
Based on his past it’s not surprising that Tangerine would have enemies like this. What little you knew about his work usually meant there were always hurt parties left behind. Widows and orphans made from a single job that neither Tangerine nor Lemon cared to really remember. It was just another workday for them.
A few more turns and then it’s a straight shot for at least an hour. Long enough that you fell asleep in the warm trunk. Curling close until your knees were as high as they could go while waiting for the car to finally stop.
You don’t wake up when the car stops, only when someone slams a hand on the trunk hood. They don’t open the trunk, but they do keep hitting it. Again and again slamming into the metal that threatened to cave in, although that might just be a dramatic thought. Didn’t make it any less scary though.
Through the metal you can hear the voice of This woman and a male. Neither seeming to care that you might be able to hear through it.
“Going after wives are never good. We’re fucked the moment she dies.” The male says.
“Tit-for-tat, Tangerine take’s my boy I take his girl. If he wants to show up and make it worse then he’s gone too. That’s how it works, that’s what makes it fair.” This woman says, another hard slam to the trunk.
“Murders never- fucking move!” The man yells just before a massive impact hits the side of the car you are still trapped in.
While you are rocked completely upside down the car is now sideways. Pain and bruises will be covering you in the next few seconds and are going to stay for days to come. Especially when you landed so hard on your side. Only thing you’re able to see is the slightly cracked glass of a taillight peeking out from the trunk carpet.
A concussion is very likely with massive of a headache. Shooting, shouting and profanity make it all worse. Not that you can take a second to lean forward and cradle your head from the pain. Not when your trunk is given light through bullet holes appearing just over your head.
“I’M STILL IN HERE!” You screamed, as if that was going to make it stop.
When it obviously doesn’t stop you look back to the taillight. Using all your strength to rip the carpet away just enough. Cringing at the pain of broken glass and mental poking and cutting into your arm while reaching out to your elbow. Waving around, grabbing the ground, and tossing whatever you could get your hands on. All the while yelling for someone to remember that you were still there.
“I see you; oh, baby, fuck yes I see you!” Tangerine, or Tangerine’s voice at least, pants just outside the trunk. His strong hand, long finger, grab hold of your so tightly he could have cracked a finger. “Stay here. Just wait.”
He’s gone just as fast as you had found him. Leaving your hand grasping the empty air as stones scrunched under his feet as he ran.
“Lemon! Got a crowbar? Or a screw or a fucking bat? Something?” Tangerine yells.
“How about the car keys, mate?” Lemon yells back, jingling in the air.
It was more than a little bit dramatic the way you fell out of the trunk. Tangerine there to catch you before you could have landed on the hard ground. He holds you close enough that no one would be able to separate you again.
At least until Lemon shows up and ruins the moment.
“Who the fuck was that, man?” He asks, gesturing almost wildly at the two bodies next to the car you had just escaped from.
If there is something Tangerine and Lemon know how to do; it’s killing. This woman, who had started it all, was left mangled from the initial impact of Tangerine reaching the scene. She never had a chance when Tangerine knew she was the one who had taken you.
The man looked to have lasted longer. Having hidden behind the car and participating in a shoot out that only lasted a couple seconds, into a few minutes.
Tangerine quickly turns your head from the bodies. Not that he was looking much better, either. His hair was a mess, some splatter had gotten onto his nice white shirt, and his bandage was bleeding again. You reach out to the bandage, covering the growing red with your hand as if you could heal it with your touch alone.
“You said we’d stick together today.” You said. Almost angry, almost crying.
He cups your face. “I’m a fucking mess, I’m sorry. Fuck, love, I’m so sorry.”
It didn’t really matter how much he apologized. This was part of his life, therefore it made it part of yours. He can make promises and even try to quit but we all know that wasn’t going to happen. Not when the movie was so good, not when Lemon was with him until the end, and especially not when you never asked him to.
“Let’s go back to the apartment, please.” You asked, staring straight to tangerine to avoid looking at your kidnapper and what was left of her.
Lemon drove while Tangerine sat shot gun. No one talked, not until you moved Tangerine’s coat and felt the box inside. Black velvet, large enough for a necklace and earrings. Perhaps even a bit more.
“What’s this?” You asked, making tangerine jolt a bit from the surprise.
He looks at the box and sighs. Taking it from your hands, popping it open to show exactly what you expected. A row of pearls and earrings, salt-water raised, and silver chain to hold them together. “Completely forgot I snatched that.”
“I thought you were doing better?” Lemon asked, rather accused, Tangerine.
“I am or was. It was an emergency, Lemon. I didn’t have time to get in the queue!” Tangerine spat, not noticing when you slipped the box back from his hands.
“All I’m hearing is an excuse, man.” Lemon retorted.
You looked good in the earrings and necklace. Leaning forward between their seats tog et a better look at them. Only then Tangerine notice when you were close enough he could place a sweet kiss on your cheek.
“You look lovely,” He says.
“I better, because you owe me so much more than stolen jewelry.” You reply. Both as a joke and as a reminder.

good morning pokemon community umm. gymsona w other gym leaders i think match their vibe ^_^ do nottt ask me what gen any of these ppl are from dude i play pokemon pearl and cant even tell u who the gym leaders are in that. i opned the pokemon wiki and scrolled
anywho more info and stuff below break hehehehehehehhehehe

ermm okie side note my only pkmn knowledge is like. pearl. so my bad :3 but the way i made the gym it kinda pushes how gyms traditionally work ... its more like a game show [because i always loved doing the little interviews thru pearl and the contests n stuff] where theres 8 contestants and they just bracket their way down to the final battle against the gym leader/host who is. me technically. but jamie crown is their name ^_^
one fun thing i thought of was because its a live show u wouldnt rlly be able to .. leave and go to the pokecenter and heal or buy items.. so ud have an option to heal between rounds at ur little podium :3 all with pokecenter certified tech or whatev of course !!
because its not gym members i realize it doesnt rlly lend itself towards being a typical gym since it would be ppl from all over coming to compete thinking emoji.. but it kinda works as a like. elite four minigame LOL idk :3 i didnt think ab it too hard
and then in terms of the team i chose

and then real nerd alert ☝️ the outfit i just redesigned i think comes together sooo well im so happy w it. the collar being mirrored on the top of the boots, the vaguely sci-fi aesthetic taht i love w the wavy patterning kinda veering towards like 80s and that retro-futuristic look that i love.. the capelet kinda looking jester-y [i looove a good jester aesthetic] plus theyre very 80s. gameshow host personality LOL.. the star tie is super cute i think and the little luxray star shapes around and even in the eyes <333 idfk im just so happy w it its so cute and awesomeee
also the visual of jamie tellinf starmie to use surf in a densely packed room with a high concentration of electrical components on live television is sending me into a FIT because they ARE bimbo enough to do that
and also the design alt and the old outfit :3 the last one is just an outfit i found looking at rhythmic gymnastic leotards n went OH THATS SO JAMIE hehe.. the old design is so dear to me and i still rlly like it but i love this new one a lot ^_^ idk i think their design will change a lot regardless because being a game show host i think they would have lots of diff outfits as opposed to a uniform but.. pokemon logic u wear the same outfit for the rest of ur life

A thread of actors/musicians that support Israel.
Jen Cohn
She is well known for voicing many characters such as Pharah from Overwatch, Ursa (Zuko’s mom) from Avatar: The Last Airbender, Miss Champlain from Wordgirl, and many other roles. On a TikTok and YouTube livestream when many watchers commented “free palestine”, her response to them was “Yes, free Palestine from Hamas.”
There are also more quotes from Cohn such as her response to a comment about wanting a new Pharah voice actor along with the Palestine flag emoji, “That is not a very ‘values of Overwatch’ thing to say” which caused anger from many fans. Cohn has also stated that “Hamas is a terrorist organization, there are so many articles and videos of Gazans risking their lives by speaking out and begging to be free of their terrorist government.”

Although she never stated anything about Israel or Hamas, one of the posts she liked on Twitter was from Mark Hamill, “America stands with Israel ✊ #ALWAYS” which spread on the platform, receiving backlash from SU fans.
Eric Nam
Eric is a K-pop/R&B singer and songwriter based in South Korea who wrote songs under B2M Entertainment. He had many tours over the years as a musician and even acted in television. In a tweet by @DiscussingFilm on April 11, it was announced that he had been cast as adult Aang for the Avatar: The Last Airbender movie set to release around 2025-2026.
This post received backlash from ATLA fans due to posts regarding his involvement with Zionists and support for Israel such as liking a pro-Israel instagram post,
The companies Dive Studios and Mindset (both co-founded by Eric and also his brothers) having investor companies supporting Israel along with Mindset’s strategic investor Scooter Braun also supporting Israel as well as a history of working with celebrities that are pro-Israel, and the fact that he removed Malaysia and The Philippines off of his “House On A Hill” tour list due to backlash by many Malaysian fans for the aforementioned instagram post (Malaysia is against people supporting Israel and is very pro-Palestine.), ignoring the backlash but posted a statement regarding his neutral opinion on the Gaza genocide where the reason was that he “made the difficult decision to cancel the show” in Malaysia.

Noah Schnapp
Schnapp is another well known actor who played characters such as Charlie Brown from the Peanuts Movie by the now-defunct Blue Sky Studios, and Will Byers from Netflix’s Stranger Things.
In a TikTok video, Noah Schnapp is seen sitting and filming with people holding “Zionism is Sexy” stickers, the line “You either stand with Israel or you stand with terrorism.”, along with liking a post that mocked Palestinians in the Gaza Strip as well as his visit to Israel. This had many fans call for a boycott against the 5th Season of Stranger Things or for Noah to be fired from playing Will Byers.
Jeremy Shada
Jeremy is also another well known actor and had many roles like the Cookie Run franchise as Gingerbrave, Adventure Time as Finn the Human, Voltron: Legendary Defender as Lance, Julie and the Phantoms as Reggie Peters, and some others. Many fans were not happy to see that he has been pro-Israel due to an instagram post liked by Shada and so some Finn and Gingerbrave fan art with the Palestine flag were made.
Tara Strong
Tara is the one of the most well known voice actor in the animation industry and had been widely loved for playing many famous characters such as Bubbles from the Powerpuff Girls, Raven from Teen Titans (and the reboot), Twilight Sparkle from My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic, Timmy Turner from The Fairly Oddparents, Ilana from Sym-Bionic Titan, and so many other characters she’d played in.
Recently, she was fired from playing the character Bill the Orphan in an adult-animated series called Boxtown due to her negative responses to the Palestinian genocide. She said in a tweet, “Just found out on twitter! This is what happens when you help fans get shows made I guess. Fired for being Jewish. Glad I helped you get your kickstarter money. MEMRI has been claimed to mistranslate clips so Palestinians would viewed in a bad light.), had a little girl who had a brain tumor pass away due to bronies donating to a charity where the money was instead of real medicine, it was put into “alternative treatments”, AND retweeted Ben 10 incest back in 2012-13.
Tara Strong has really destroyed her own reputation as a voice actor and it’s really upsetting that a famous woman who voiced pretty much everyone’s childhood have such negative ways when dealing with topics like these. The fact that there are STILL fans defending her actions is just depressing to see what she had become.

Scarlett Johansson had worked with companies that support Israel over the years along with a couple of posts that are pro-Israel.
Kim Dongyoung, who is a member of a few South-Korean bands as Doyoung like NCT and it’s other sub-units has lost over 800,000 instagram followers because of a McDonalds Korea promotion he was in even though he had donated to World Food Program Korea (a company that started to donate food to Gaza back in December of 2023.).
Taika Watiti, who played Blackbeard from Our Flag Means Death has liked Instagram posts of Gal Godot’s suppport for Israel, went on a big rant about his response to people addressing his silence on Palestinians because of people not knowing about Māori issues on the Marc Macron podcast (Many, Many Māori people are pro-Palestinian.)
Sarah J Maas, author of The Assassin’s Blade, Crescent City, and A Court of Thorns and Roses, is a Zionist that has spoken about her “love for Israel”, said that she was proud of her family members that had been involved with the IDF and its military bases and went on a trip to Israel.
Con O’Neill, who plays Izzy Hands from the show Our Flag Means Death has a liked post by Eve Barlow with the lines of “coming out as a Zionist is harder than coming out as gay”.
Keanu Reeves is another well known actor that appeared in The Matrix franchise as Neo, The Day the Earth Stood Still as Klaatu, Cyberpunk 2077 as Johnny Silverhand, and many other movies. He said that he wanted to make a John Wick movie that take place in Israel with IDF soldiers that trained for stunts, went to a party that was hosted by a former arms dealer during the 2014 Gaza war, and visited Israel several times along with meeting Netanyahu.
Rick Riordan, the author of the Percy Jackson books made a very lengthy blog post stating the Israel-Palestine conflict with lines such as “the Israeli government’s brutal retaliation against the entire population of Gaza has reached genocidal proportions.” & “This means security and support for Israel, yes.”

Theory : Agent 4 In Side Order
With the announcement of the Splatoon 3 DLC "Side Order", many people in the Splatoon fandom either suspect or internally demand that Agent 4 appears in the upcoming DLC — and for good reasons!
But HOW would Agent 4 fit into the story of the DLC?
What would their role be?
Well, I have an idea!
So get some snacks and a drink people, cause this will definetly take a while!
So that you will not loose the sight of where one point ends and the next one beginns, I will mark the beginning of all the points with heart emojis!
And to top it all off, because I'll be talking about Agent 4's involvement as a whole and not just WHY or HOW they could appear in the DLC, but infact ALL these topics at once, I will also divide the different topics through lines! ( "____" but longer )
Here's a base to get a better idea of what I'm talking about :
At the very end, I will also add a quick summary of all my conclusions, incase you won'tbe able to follow all the points, loose sight or it is just too many ideas and conclusions at once for you to process! _______________________________________
First, I'll beginn with the reasons why Agent 4 definetly MUST appear in the DLC:
💛 Reason one : They're the ONLY member of the Squidbeak still missing!!! Agent 8 has been confirmed as the Player Character for Side Order and the rest of the Squidbeak — even Octavio — were all in "Return of the Mamalians"! The only one still missing in this game is Agent 4!
💛 While we're at the topic of other characters, every recurring Character that has appeared in the trailers until now first debuted in Splatoon 2, but none of them have made any onscreen appearances in Splatoon 3 yet — in other words, until now they've been Splatoon 2 exclusive characters! Agent 8 and Dedf1sh never appeared in Splatoon 3 up until the trailers came, and Off the Hook's only appearance until now was through artwork and music! Pearl and Marina haven't physically appeared yet, but are all but confirmed to do so in the actual DLC! Infact, Pearl seems to be controlling a little flying drone that seems to be "Side Order"'s counterpart of "Return of the Mamalians"' Lil Buddy! Pretty much the only significant Splatoon 2 character that has yet to appear in Splatoon 3 is Agent 4 — except for commander Tartar, but that guy is dead so he doesn't count!
💛 Also, Agent 4 is actually mentioned in the Official Splatoon 3 World Map!
Therefore, it's clear Nintendo has not forgotten about 4, but wouldn't it still be weird to mention them here if they were not important to the game in some way?
Infact, Agent 4 was the ONLY other Agent appart from New Agent 3 that was mentioned on the map and the ONLY ONE who was mentioned DIRECTLY! For New Agent 3, the map just said "You Live here" but for Agent 4 it says "Agent 4's home"
💛 Also, Lil Judd is implied to be the new boss of Grizzro Industries after you complete "Return of the Mamalians" — a plot point which should probably get resolved in the DLC, considering the implications that cloning is involved! And it's confirmed that Agent 4 did or might even still work at Grizzro industries!
☝Keep this point here in mind, cause I'm not done with this yet!☝
💛 Also, if you didn't recognize the location in the first trailer, the Official DLC's Webpage read : "See what has happened to Inkopolis Square from the Splatoon 2 game, and what would've happened if Order thwarted Chaos to rule the city!"So this confirms, that Side Order indeed takes place in Inkopolis Square — the setting of Splatoon 2!

Now that we got the connections to Agent 4 and reasons they should definetly appear in the DLC out of the way, let's start on my theory what their role might be in the DLC!
🧡 Well, Remember what I said about Lil Judd being implied to be the new boss of Grizzro Industries? Considering the recent theories about the DLC involving Cloning, it's very likely that Lil Judd is involved in the DLC, Considering he is a clone on Judd! But what does that have to do with Agent 4's role in the story?
......Remember what I said about Agent 4 and Grizzro industries?
Well, I purposefully said that they might still be working there!
Am I saying that Agent 4 is a villain in "Side Order"?
I sure am!
I know what you're thinking now...... "But why would they be evil?"
To better understand that, I first wanna adress another theory I have on the DLC:

🧡 Because I am very much convinced that the Final Splatfest is directly involved in the DLC!
Because..... how else could you interpret the title? Even if the central theme truly is order, the DLC is not just called "Order"! It's called "Side Order"! And there are always more than one sides — mostly opposing sides! And what were the two opposing sides in the final Splatfest of Splatoon 2? Team Chaos vs Team Order!
Which means to me that, whoever is pulling the strings — be it Agent 4 or someone else — is on the SIDE of ORDER!
The title is suppose to tell us that the Final Splatfest is the conflict of the DLC! The antagonist is upset over what has happened to the world after Team Chaos won! So now, their goal is to create a new World ORDER!
Infact, maybe the final boss fight — or at least some level in the DLC — will be based after a Splatfest battle! Like a Tri-color turf war! I mean..... in Octo Expansion we had multiple levels with Rank battles and the Final Boss fight was based after Turf War!
All that we're missing here would be a Splatfest battle! If the main conflict really is the "Chaos Vs Order" Splatfest, then one of the best ideas for the final battle would be a repeat of said Splatfest!
_______________________________________🖤 This theory might also provide an explanation for why Agent 8 wakes up in the bleached Inkopolis Square and Marina also appeanantly vanished!
Eight and Marina were both on Team Order! Wouldn't it make sense wanting the help of other Team Order members for this plan?
To get them on your....side?
But of course, 8 and Marina refused, so the antagonist resorts to kidnapping (at least in the case of Marina)!

Why would they Support Order?
Weren't they on Team Chaos for the Final fest?

Yes, Agent 4 Indeed was on Team Chaos for the final fest!

Take a look back at the post from the DLC's Webpage : "What would've happened if Order thwarted Chaos to rule the city?"
Many people interpreted this part like that Side Order is actually a "What If?" Alternate Universe!
However, I don't think that is the case.....
Do you honestly think we'd get a plain, over-perfectionized and colorless town as the main aesthetic for a game like Splatoon?
Instead, I believe the "What would've happened if....?" ect. part is from the perspective of a character!
You know what I think could be Agent 4's reason for suddenly being on Team Order?
Infact, what might be a central theme in the DLC as a whole?
Regret!
Have any of you guys ever felt doubts about your Splatfest choice? Maybe even regretted them?
Maybe even regretted picking Chaos instead of Order? Because the end result was NOT what you expected?
Well I have! And it lead me to think, if maybe other players felt the same way..... and if they did, wouldn't it be interesting to discuss this topic in the actual game? Considering the Final Fest always has such a HUGE impact on the next game in the series, it might feel natural to wonder if maybe the opposite team should've won! Because maybe the result is different from what you expected?
And you beginn to wonder "What if I picked the other team?" "What if the other team won?"
🖤 Imagine following scenario: Agent 4 was on Team Chaos for the final Splatfest and team Chaos indeed won!
At first, they were happy, just like everyone else......But then, things started to change — like Pearl and Marina said the splatfest result changed the world.... but it didn't change in the way that Agent 4 had hoped! Perhaps the changes that followed after the events of the Chaos vs Order Splatfest were different than what 4 had imagined!
.....Or perhaps Marina was right to fear what might happen if Team Chaos won,
....only wrong about who it applied to!
What if the Splatfest somehow caused some dissonance in the Squidbeak for some reason? And Agent 4 was somehow involved!
What if the other Agents left to go to Splatsville/Alterna and Agent 4 was left behind?
It would add up with the fandom's opinion that the character of Agent 4 is just being forgotten! Because I often see the fandom portray Agent 4 as being left behind by the rest of the Squidbeak!
And just like with the Splatfest Teams, acknowledgement of the fandom in such a way would be an interesting concept to touch uppon, because the fandom would relate to it!
And IF the final Splatfest really is a central conflict in the DLC, then the idea of regretting your team decision would be a very interesting thing to discuss!
Regardless of how it might've happened, the idea is that, after some time, Agent 4 started wondering
"What if I had fought on team order?"
"What if team Order won?"
🖤 Another thing that tipped me off about the concept of regret is the appearance of Dedf1sh — or "Acht" as she called herself in the DLC trailer!
Acht is an Octoling who willingly got sanitized due to "doubts and conflicts about production"!
Also track #8 in her list of songs in called "Regret", possibly showing that she regrets letting herself get sanitized!
There it is again! Doubts and regreting your choices!
And we all know that 8 is a very Important number in regards to the octarians! To hammer this point home, even Dedf1sh's nickname "Acht" is the german word for "Eight"! So, the fact that her 8# track song is called "Regret" feels to me like it is important.

🖤 Also, side note : It wouldn't be the first time a member of the Squidbeak Splatoon became antagonistic! We saw it in Splatoon 2, with Callie and the Original Agent 3/Cap'n!
And considering the repeaded use of the number 3 in this game...... It seems like a golden opportunity (and a good excuse :3) for the devs to pull that trope a third time!
They already did it with the "Great Zapfish gets stolen" plot!
And considering the rest of the Squidbeak is busy in Alterna, Agent 4 is pretty much the only option available! _______________________________________
🖤 But even IF they want to reverse the events of the Final fest, WHY would 4 go so far? They are a hero, are they not? What happened to them that would cause them to do.....all this?!
Well, I suspect that, IF Agent 4 really is a villain or even THE villain of the DLC, they will not be in their right state of mind!
And no, I don't mean mind controlled and puppeteered by somebody else like Callie in the Splatoon 2 Hero Mode or the Cap'n/Original Agent 3 in Octo Expansion!
Like I said, the developers have the opportunity and the excuse to pull the "Member of the Squidbeak turns evil" trope a third time, but that doesn't mean they couldn't add a little twist to it, to keep it interesting!
You see, throughout both Trailers, there is a repeaded use of imagery that is reminicent of actually organic bodies, like the veins and corals that are oddly reminicent of veins!
Also look at this picture right there and tell me it doesn't look reminicent of a brain to you!
While mechanical and robotic stuff is definetly present in the trailers too, so is organic stuff!
However, the hints of natural organic things are much more suddle! It kinda feels to me like there is something intentionally being kept secret in relation to it!
Like for example....maybe the root of everything bad happening in the DLC is more of a root than we might think!
Maybe the origins of everything behind the events of Side Order is not some AI or a scientific experiment, but it's actually something natural!
Something that wasn't directly created by human hand or tentacles, but by (what remains of) the planet itself!
Remember this part from "Return of the Mamalians"' Alterna Logs: "Spurred by these impulses-and whatever else may have been floating in the polluted waters-the sea creatures began to evolve rapidly."
The important part being "Whatever else may have been floating in the polluted waters"! Implying that something other than the crystals infused with humanities desires have been responsible for the evolution of marine life!
What results would we get from the crystals mixing with different things?
For example, Mr Grizz combined some of those crystals with his own furr to create the fuzzy ooze! Although the golden fisheggs were also involved, the game even calls out that it is unknown HOW the fisheggs were used in the creation of the fuzzy ooze!
And it's said that if an Inkling or Octoling comes into contact with fuzzy Ooze, they lose their sense of self!
Loosing their sense of self..... Sound like a good trigger for someone to turn evil?
And if it were either the crystals or the golden fisheggs that are responsible for the "Loosing their sense of self" part...... Well, as an employee of Grizzro's, Agent 4 would have access to Golden Fish Eggs!
And like I said, the ocean is full of those crystals' pieces!
After all, who ever said that the effects those crystals are ALL good?
🖤 Remember, these crystals were infused with Humanity's thoughts and desires! And I doubt that the remaining humans in Alterna have been thinking happy thoughts 24/7!
Because 1 : It was basically the end of the world and their kind was going extinct!
And 2 : They're humans! It's as easy as that!There must've been some hateful thoughts at some point!
And when Alterna collabsed, causing the crystals and thereby also humanity's thoughts to seep into the ocean, nature saw what it would do with it!
Because remember: Those crystals originated from the bodily fluids of squid! The origins if the crystals lied in nature!
The positive feelings contained within the crystals allowed marine life to evolve and become the new dominant species, but what about the negative feelings? Cause I'll be damned if the remaining humans didn't have any bad thoughts or feelings! Especially considering it was the end of the world at that time!!
What if nature did something else with those negative feelings?
And if it did, what would happen if a living organism came in contact with them.....?
What influence could it have on them?
This would be far from the first time nature somehow influences the minds of living creatures!
The two most intense examples I know being Rabies and (Say it with me "The Last of Us"—fans!) Cordyceps!
My point here? If 4 goes rogue, it's possible that the cause of it is not mind control but more related to nature! _______________________________________
🤍 To sum everything up once more :
Agent 4 definetly 10000% MUST appear in the DLC!
The main conflict is not just the concept of "Order", but specifically the Chaos vs Order Splatfest!
After the final fest, for multiple possible reasons, Agent 4 ended up regretting being on Team Chaos for the final Splatfest and wanting to reverse everything! Maybe even start a second "Chaos Vs Order" splatfest!
And they wanted fellow Team Order members Agent 8 and Marina on their Side Order, but that didn't go so smoothly!
However, some outside force might be responsible for them taking it to dangerous extremes!
Though it doesn't necessarily have to be the work of another villain, but maybe, for example, coming in contact with Alterna crystals that absorbed humanity's negative feelings or whatever nature did with said crystals!

A Half-Gem Boy’s Adventures In The Creek: Chapter three.

They were all at a restaurant called Grand Lux Cafe. It was a restaurant by the mall in Herketon, Steven was having that sleepover with his friends the next day, but Greg decided to go to a restaurant with his son and his friends.
Steven knew what he wanted, so he was playing Angry Birds as they waited. Craig was talking with JP and Kelsey, and Connie looked at Steven.
“Hey, Steven?” Connie asked
“What’s up?” he looks up at her, pausing his game.
Connie wasn’t sure if he would want to go back. but it was worth a try, he can see Garnet, Amethyst, and Pearl again. and probably Craig, Kelsey, and JP can come to Deleware too. She looked at him and said it.
“Do you guys want to come to Deleware with me for a day, maybe Steven could show you guys around Beach City and hang out, Steven. Sadie and Jenny keep asking me when you're coming back.”
Steven sighed and pulled out his phone and texted them on the Group Chat that Jenny set up for them for hangouts and plans.
Hey guys! Steven started the chat back up, it’s been a while since they’d hung out.
Jenny texted Steven! what’s up, dude?
Buck texted Yo, Steven Quartz, what’s up?
Sour Cream sent a rock-on emoji.
Steven smiled and typed: Hey guys, I’m doing okay. Do you want to come to Maryland maybe this weekend to hang out with my friends in the creek?
Yeah! we want to hang out with you again! we can go to the arcade there, what do you say? Buck texts
Steven smiled and then texted the group; Yeah! only if it’s alright if my new friends come along.
Of course, Steven! any friends of yours are friends of hours! We’ll see you maybe…Next week? Sour Cream can maybe bring his DJ equipment and DJ for you guys! Steven read Jenny’s text
Sour Cream then texted back. I’ll make it happen, bye. Universe, We’ll see you probably…Next Friday?
Steven smiled, he texted a thumbs-up emoji then put his phone on the table. Connie also smiled.
“Well?”
“They said that they will come to Maryland on Friday, I’m so excited!” Steven said. Connie smiled. “I am happy for you, Steven!”
“Thanks, Connie. Maybe you can see them too. I would love to have everyone back together. Wait you didn’t meet them, did you?” he asked
“I don’t think so, I met Jenny Pizza before,” she said. Steven nods. He believed her one hundred percent.
Steven, the Creek kids, and Connie were back at his house, watching a movie, Connie had to go home on Lion but she thanked Greg for letting her stay for a few hours. She hugged Steven, they said their goodbyes and she mounted on Lion as a portal opened up and she went through it.

The boy was running through the dark forest, he was trying to get away from whoever was chasing him. Steven was alone, Craig, Kelsey JP, and Omar were nowhere in sight.
He ran as fast as he could. The figure was close.
He didn’t dare to look.
But when he heard the voice. It sounded so, familiar.
“Hey, Rose! Where ya going!”
“How did you find me?” Steven asked the figure inched closer, and Steven just saw a pair of orange eyes that were glowing in the dark Creek. The figure didn’t say anything but it inched closer, and closer.
Steven saw Jasper hanging over him, smiling evilly at him as she picked him up by his shirt. Steven was struggling to break free, he tried to summon his bubble but it wasn’t working, his powers were not activating.
Great…the ONLY time that I need my powers they DON’T WORK! Is this how I’m going to go out, by the hands of an insane Gem who has it out for me?
Steven then felt a hand ring around his neck as he was being choked. Steven gasped for air and he was struggling, his legs desperately kicking her body for her to let go, but… there was one problem. She was a gem and he was half of that.
He tried to put his hands on her face to get her to stop, but nothing was working, Jasper just stood there silently, not saying a word but, she had that creepy smile that showed all her teeth, like the Joker’s — but more terrifying.
At least to him. Then she said something.
“Well, well. Rose, how does it feel now?”
“L-let me g-go…” The boy gasped.
Jasper laughed, Steven felt a chill go down his entire body. She lifted his shirt so it exposed his gem, Jasper grabbed it and pulled it out, and Steven felt the pain go through his entire body. It was the worst pain he’d ever experienced in his life.
“Hey, Rose,” she said, Steven struggled to keep his eyes open, but he managed to see her holding the diamond-shaped gem in her right hand.
Without thinking, Jasper squeezed hard on his gem, shattering it. She laughed evilly as she threw Steven into the Creek where his body couldn’t be found.

Steven jolted awake. He was hyperventilating. The boy lifted his shirt and touched his gem to make sure it was still there. Steven breathed a sigh of relief and pulled the covers off of him, he stepped out of his room and went to his dad’s room.
He walked up to him and poked him in the arm. “Dad…” he whispered.
Greg opened his eyes to see his son. “Steven?”
He knew that something was wrong, he saw tears welling up in his eyes. Greg got up and sat on the edge of the bed.
“Hey, what’s wrong, kiddo?”
“I-I had a nightmare….”
Greg’s heart tightened, he hadn’t had a nightmare since he was seven. He always had the gems to protect him, but they weren’t here.
“About what, buddy?”
“J-Jasper… She was chasing me through the Creek in the middle of the night and… And.” he was breathing heavily. Greg put a hand on his son’s back, rubbing it. Steven’s breathing relaxed a little as he calmed down, but his voice was still shaky.
“S-she… She found me and choked me. and… And…” he clenched his shirt where his gem was then, he leaned on his father’s shoulder. Greg didn’t want him to continue. he got what he was trying to say.
“Oh, Steven…” he hugged his son tightly, Steven rested his chin on his shoulder as the tears kept flowing. Greg hugged him, and Steven started sobbing heavily, he knew that the nightmare he had wasn’t real, but it was scary.
Very scary for him.
Greg didn’t understand gem stuff, but he understood that his son needed comfort right now, that was all that mattered to him. Greg continued to rub his back as he felt him not move, his breathing was steady, Greg looked at him and smiled. Steven was asleep.
Greg set him down on the other side of the bed and he laid down with him, He closed his eyes and went to sleep also.
Steven was in the living room, watching a recorded episode of Regular Show, and his father was making eggs for the both of them, Steven was feeling better after last night. He wanted to go to the Creek today and play with Craig and the others. Steven ate his eggs and went to the creek.

“This is serious JP, I met her. She knocked me out and put me on a prison ship heading to Homeworld, it was traumatic for me.” Steven said, sitting on the ground and hugging his knees. Craig walks up to him and puts a hand on his shoulder. Steven looked up and hugged him, He wrapped his arms around him in an embrace. He has never seen Steven so afraid before.
Steven looked at the ground, he thought of Jasper finding them and then capturing them. Craig put a hand on his shoulder, Steven looked up at him. “Steven, It’s okay. What if she doesn’t show? What if you're safe here.”
“I… I don’t know… I don’t want to move again, I’m getting adjusted here and I love it here.” Steven said. Craig nods, they all have his back.

“Thanks, Kit!” he said. opening up his bag of popcorn he got from The Traiding Tree. Steven felt a little bit better about this. But — he still had a bounty on his head for what his mom did, and Lapis and Jasper are still fused at the bottom of the ocean. And he’d seen that, he felt bad for Lapis, but he knew it was for the best to keep Jasper underwater and contained so she wouldn’t escape.
Steven went back to where he usually hung out with The Stump Kids. A boy was there that he’d seen before, Craig was also on a BMX bike that must’ve belonged to the boy, Steven saw the new kid that he’d never met before.
The boy was short and had dark skin, with hair covered by a silver helmet and thick eyebrows. He wears a black shirt with blue long pants and brown shoes.
“Hey, Steven. Meet Cannonball, Cannonball this is Steven Quartz Universe.” he introduced.
Cannonball waved and leaned on the handlebars of his bike. “Hey, Steven. What’s goin’ on?” he asked.
“I’m fine, are you a friend of Craig’s.” Cannonball nodded.
“I heard you moved in three days ago. How do you like it so far?” Cannonball asked. Steven smiled and nodded.
“It’s great here! I love it, everyone’s so friendly here too, and my friends are coming too on Friday to hang out.”
“Cool, Can’t wait to meet your friends, Steven,” he said, Craig smiled. “Hey, Steven. Wanna come with us, I have an extra bike or the Ten Speeds can lend you one,” he said.
“Yeah!” Steven said.

Steven heard Greg in the living room strumming his acoustic guitar when he walked inside the house. He didn’t hear him come in Steven walked into the living room, and Greg looked up and saw his son.
“Hey, Dad.” he smiled.
“Hey, Schu-Ball, what’s up?” he smiled. Steven sat by him, and Greg placed his guitar down.
“You alright?”
“I-I’m just nervous… What if Jasper comes here?”
Greg smiled softly. “Steven.” he started. “There is no way that she will come here, she’s fused with Lapis. Remember? you told me that yourself.” Steven nods
Steven could still see his gem in Jasper’s hand, and her shattering it. Steven shook his head as if the dream was going to go away. “Steven…” Greg said putting an arm around his son. “It was just a dream… Dreams can’t hurt you… I have bad dreams all the time.”
Steven looked at his dad and smiled, he always knew how to make him feel better. He hugged him, Steven felt his phone buzz and got it out. It was a text from Craig, they were going to have pizza and watch Sonic Underground.
Graig saw the text. “Go, Steven.”
“Thanks, Dad!” he smiled and hugged him, Steven ran out the front and went to his neighbor’s house.
Greg looked at Rose’s portrait again and picked up his guitar. He got up and went to the basement.
He came back with his electric guitar and his amplifier. he sat on the floor again, his back resting on the back of the couch, He connected his amplifier, inhaled deeply, and strummed his guitar, Still looking at the large portrait.
“I close both locks below the window
I close both blinds and turn away

Greg sang the lyrics to the song. His heart tightens with the pain and the loss of his girlfriend, he misses her every single day, but he does have Steven to help him through this.

Greg felt tears leave his eyes, but he didn’t care if he’d cried, or if Steven could walk in at any moment. This was the first song he’d listen to when he held Steven in his arms for the first time, he just kept playing and singing the Linkin Park song.

He stopped strumming and looked up at it again. Greg stood his guitar up on the back of the couch and texted Steven that he could spend the night with Craig if he wanted to.
Steven texted back. Greg smiled, glad that his son was having some fun. He knows Duane but they’d never hung out before. Maybe that’ll be an idea, they can go to a sports bar or something, eat wings, and drink some sodas. And just talk. Greg walked upstairs to his bedroom.
His bedroom is spacious and well-appointed, with a large bed. The bed is made up of two pillows and a throw blanket, giving it a cozy appearance. It is situated in front of a large window, which provides ample natural lighting and a view of the outside world.
The room is furnished with multiple chairs, including two chairs positioned on either side of the bed and another chair placed near the window. The chairs are arranged in a way that creates a comfortable seating area for relaxation or conversation.
There are also two lamps placed on the bedside tables, adding warmth and illumination to the space. Additionally, a television is mounted on the wall, providing entertainment options for the occupants. A potted plant adds a touch of greenery to the room, creating a pleasant ambiance.
Greg plopped on the bed and turned on the TV.

So I don’t actually remember this but I’m pretty sure you’re right? I feel like now you’ve mentioned it, that it did happen but I’d completely forgotten it was actually stated in the books that they are set up to be taken care of in those initial weeks after going into the cauldron?
Either way, after having been living in pretty severe poverty for so long, reader I think quite simply forgets you can get things because you want them? If she doesn’t need it she won’t get it, hence almost all of her books being from the library where they’re just borrowed :)

“Anxiety”.
A word Connie has mentioned. It’s a medical term that she taught Steven after what happened to them as Stevonnie. Connie, with her mother’s knowledge, took Garnet’s advice to heart and she gets to manage her anxiety whenever it hits.
Two years later, Steven still hasn’t been able to feel better.

Steven glows pink instead.
Thus, he goes to Garnet to ask for more tips, to know if she could try to help… but the gem tells Steven that he’s the only one who knows the answers. That he should seek them himself. Pearl and Amethyst, who wait for Garnet to head out to Little Homeschool for yet another fieldtrip, agreed indifferently.
Steven can’t even say anything before the three of them are gone in the light of the warp pad, so bright that he feels like it’s going to attack him.
Then, everything is empty.
He only stares at the void like he’s fourteen again.
Just that worsens the ache in his chest, his pink fists clutching his shirt.
Steven rushes back to his safe place, his room, before things get ugly and he goes ballistic, and he grabs his phone to do some research on anxiety. He finds quite a lot of resources.
Since then, he’s trying.
With the gems away to who knows where, and his father also out of town, Steven tries to get by on his own.
(As usual.)
…
But nothing works.
Steven does everything correctly. List five things you can sense. Distract yourself with things you like – watch a movie or a series or funny videos, read a book, listen to music or even podcasts. Breathe. Hug your pillow. Hang out with your friends–
Oh.
He… hasn’t done that in a while.
Steven can’t, though. Everyone is busy and it’s not like they should stop what they’re doing to be with him, right? Right.
Distract yourself.

Suddenly, a notification.
New texts… from Lars? How long has it been since they last talked? Maybe he needs help with something?
Anyway.
Lars: hey steven, it’s been a while right?
Lars: idk if your busy, but sadie and the cool kids are back in town and we thought of making a lil party
Lars: i know it’s kinda in the last hour so it’s ok if you can’t make it or if you don’t wanna go, but it’d be rlly cool if you came
Lars: but it’s your call of course
Steven looks at the above, wondering if this was predestined. It feels too perfect.
He hasn’t seen his friends in forever.
He types quickly:
Steven: omg I’d love to!!
Steven: I miss you guys sooo much
(Why does it feel like a lie, somehow?)
Lars: aw, we miss ya too buddy
Lars: i miss you coming to the BD to bug me every morning (followed by a pleading emoji)
Steven: Gee, Captain Lars, didn’t know you loved me that much (eyes emoji)
Lars: i was joking.
Steven: Were you really? :3
Lars: ok now your making me regret inviting you
Steven: Noooooo, come on!!
Lars: lmao
Lars: srsly now. 8 at my place, ok?

Steven sighs, feeling so… light all of a sudden. Just this one interaction with Lars seems to have calmed him down a little.
The half-gem feels relieved. So relieved.
He can actually get out there and have fun with his friends, catch up with their lives, laugh together, share something tasty to eat…
(And he gets to distract himself from his rising dread.)
(To finally not be reminded how painfully alone he is.)
Well, it’s still 2 PM. From what Dad told him, Sadie and the Cool Kids are going to arrive at 6 PM… so Steven still needs to do something else to keep his mind busy. Maybe cook or bake something for the party. He doesn’t remember Lars mentioning a potluck, but Steven wants to do something nice for his friends nonetheless.
What is he going to cook or bake, then?

“... don’t tell me I inspired you with my nostalgia.”
“You could say that,” Steven smirks at Lars’ statement, while holding two huge boxes of donuts with all the flavors he could remember his friends enjoying. As well as…
“You brought salad, too?” Sadie notices, almost wanting to laugh.
“Yeah, like Buck ordered once.”
“Heh, I appreciate your dedication, Steven.” Buck pats his back proudly.
“We miss our favorite roadie,” Sour Cream says, ruffling the younger boy’s curly hair.
Steven’s heart, instead of anguish, is filled with warmth.
“Awe, you guys are going to make me cry,” he jokes.
“Us too! This was so sweet of you, Steven,” Jenny compliments. “I’m glad you could make it!”
“I know every friend says this and it doesn’t always happen… but we should really hang out more,” Buck says, in his same stoic expression. “I love you guys.”
“Yeah, same,” Steven grins affectionately.
It’s a much more casual party this time, which is the best kind of party after such busy times. Lars’ backyard is lit by those small, spherical yellow lights, and everyone sits by the huge picnic table that replaces Lars’ trampoline. Besides the donuts, you can see Lars’ pastries, and apparently snacks that Sadie and the Cool Kids brought from their last tour.
They sing and play some songs together, they laugh at the stories from concerts, outer space, and Little Homeworld… Steven gets to hear more about their lives and how happy they are.
But most importantly, they’re very happy to share it with him.
Which is such an honor.
Steven is genuinely having a good time.
Perhaps the first time in so long…
He’s so happy to be a part of this.
…
The boy’s phone vibrates in his pocket.
He casually checks it, not bothered by it interrupting his immersion in the party. He’s not expecting much, when…
He sees that it’s the gems.
Steven and his family have countless groups for Little Homeschool, and then they have their own private group, just the four of them.
Pearl has sent him a rather quick and dry text informing him of their absence for the next…
Two months.
…
Two months.

Months.
And no, Steven can’t do anything to stop it.
Because he tries to text them. He sends a million desperate texts.
And his pleads are never answered. And they will never be, because the messages aren’t even sent .
He goes to all their private numbers, and nothing.
Steven calls them, to no avail. There’s not even the option for voicemail.
Bismuth, Lapis, and Peridot are on their own separate fieldtrips as well, so it’s useless to try to call them.
No one is reachable.
No one.
No one.
“... Steven. Steven?”
The half-gem only gets a little startled at Lars standing next to him, and bearing the most concerned expression Steven has seen him with. He also realizes everyone else has stopped talking.
“O-Oh, sorry,” he laughs nervously, quickly putting away his phone. “It was nothing.”
“Is everything okay?” Jenny asks.
“You looked like someone died,” Sour Cream observes, also worried.
“No, no, nobody died.” Well, except Lars , Steven would’ve darkly added. “It’s– It’s fine.”
“Are you sure?” Sadie questions.
“Yeah.” Steven’s dread returns to his chest, his hands beginning to shake. He hides them in his pockets, which doesn’t help since he feels his cell phone and it’s the thing that ruined everything. He’s doing everything not to turn pink. “I’m sure,” he mumbles.
Everyone looks at one another, unsure. Steven wants to scream.
“Hey,” Lars whispers, putting a hand on Steven’s back. “Do you want to go inside a bit?”
The latter hates that he likes the soothing touch, yet he’s also afraid the former is going to notice Steven is shaking, so he dodges it much to his own dismay.
“It’s okay, Lars,” Steven mumbles, wanting to cry.
He avoids everyone’s eyes, his hand almost crushing his phone into pieces inside his pocket. He’d love to throw this darned thing into the depths of the ocean.
“Sorry, I ruined the moment, didn’t I?” Steven laughs darkly.
“No, Steven, it’s okay,” Sadie reassures him. “You don’t need to talk about it if you don’t want to, okay?”
“Yeah, man, no worries,” Sour Cream agrees.
Despite that, the party does grow a little quieter. It feels like the emptiness of his house.
Of course. He screwed everything up. Again.
Now they don’t want anything to do with him.
(Like the gems. Like everyone else.)
Steven at least gets to resume his laugh and his smiles, because he’s always been so good at them.
Time goes by…
And they start leaving.
Because obviously, nothing lasts forever.
Jenny is the first one who leaves, and she gives Steven the biggest hug. It doesn’t smell like pizza anymore, instead it’s a sweet scent. It’s different but nice. But too quick.
Sour Cream and Buck leave together. The former sidehugs Steven, while the latter gently tells him to take care of himself, and to always count on them whenever he needs. Steven smiles and nods, without any honesty.
Lastly, Sadie, Lars, and Steven… the original trio. It’s been so long, Sadie and Lars are a lot more comfortable around each other nowadays, holding hands under the table. Steven would’ve fanboyed at another time when he sees Sadie casually kissing Lars’ cheek, causing her boyfriend to go pinkier than what should be possible.
Sadie’s hug, though, is longer than everyone else’s goodbyes.
“It was nice seeing you, Steven,” she grins with some melancholy. “Don’t forget we love you, okay?”
Steven doesn’t believe her, but he plasters a smile on his face just to please her.
“Okay,” he replies simply.
Sadie is convinced, and walks away.
Finally, it’s just him.
The only one left.
Lars is quiet.
Steven knows what he’s going to say.
And before Lars does, the sixteen-year-old puts his distraction in action.
“Oh, do you need help cleaning?” He asks.
“Uh, there’s… not a lot to do.”
“Yeah, but like, I could help with the trash.”
“Steven, it’s fine.”
“No, really, I–”
“Why don’t you go home and rest?” Lars isn’t even being rude, he’s genuinely suggesting it because he can tell Steven isn’t fine.
But going home is not going to help.
It’s the last thing Steven needs.
“Don’t worry, Lars, I can do this!” Steven grins widely and already moves to the table to take the remains of food and plastic, as well as the donut boxes.
He can hear Lars sighing in the back.
(Steven hates himself. Obviously Lars doesn’t want him here.)
(But Steven can’t go back.)
(He can’t go back.)
Indeed, there’s not a lot of work to do. Lars washes whatever dishes he needed for the baking part, while Steven takes care of the trash. There are huge trash bins in the yard, so he easily finishes the job.
… it’s over.
He does more.
Steven seeks out any trash he can find to fill the larger bin, both in the kitchen and the restroom.
“Dude, what are you doing?” Lars asks from afar.
“I’m helping!”
“But you’re done taking out the stuff from the party, aren’t you? Why are you taking out the trash from my house?”
“Because I want to help!”
Before Steven can go back outside, Lars stops him with a frowning face.
“Steven, you’re not okay,” the latter states seriously. “You need to go home.”
“No, I don’t.”
“I think you do. I don’t know what happened that you saw earlier, but you need to rest.”
“I don’t need rest.”
“Oh, you don’t?” Lars sounds sarcastic. “Like you’re not obsessively looking for stuff to do?”
“I’m not doing that!” Steven defends.
“Yeah, and I bet you’re not going to clean all the restrooms next. Or the windows. Or my entire bedroom–”
“Oh, haha , you are SO hilarious,” Steven rolls his eyes and tries to go outside again, only for Lars to step forward to make him go back. “Lars, let me go,” Steven warns.
“Will you at least tell me what’s going on?”
“I have nothing to say to you.”
“Alright, then go home.”
“No.”
“Don’t make me throw you inside my head myself.”
Steven boils. “Just let me do this for you, Lars!”
“I’m telling you you don’t have to!” Lars raises his voice.
“But I want to!”
“And I want you to be okay!”
“But I AM OKAY!”
“You wouldn’t be YELLING at me if you were!”
Steven growls in frustration, “Just let me go outside!”
“NO!”
He has had it.
The half-gem pushes Lars aside harshly, to the point of knocking the latter over, and Steven is too distraught to apologize for it. He rushes outside in the peaceful night.
“STEVEN!” Lars yells from inside the kitchen.
He just needs to do this.
He needs to distract himself, distract, distract, distract–
Steven opens the bin–
Noise.
Light.
Too much.
A swarm of white butterflies comes out of the trash bin, flying so loudly and so close that Steven falls backwards.
No.
Not them.
Not them again.
No. No. NO. NO. NO.
He thought he had it under control. He thought he would be okay. He thought…
Steven hides.
That’s all he can do.
He’s alone, alone, alone, alone.
(And he deserves it.)
…
“... can you hear me? Steven! Steven !”
He’s panting furiously, violently.
“Make it go away!” Steven cries.
“Make what go away?”
“EVERYTHING!”
He half regrets yelling, but Steven knows the butterflies are there, and no one else does.
“Steven…”
“Too much,” Steven speaks in between gasps, “too much, it’s too much, I-I can’t take this anymore!”
At this point, he’s aware that he’s pink and he can’t repress it any longer. It’s consuming his every thought, every part of his body.
“I can’t… I can’t…” Steven heaves.
Whoever is there must have left, right?
Steven is helpless. Hopeless.
…
“Steven, can I touch you?”
Oh… they’re still there.
“Is that okay?” They ask.
Steven doesn’t want to look back. He doesn’t want to see it all.
But…
“... y-yeah,” he hiccups, “okay.”
“Okay. I’m just- gonna help you sit, alright? Are you hurt?”
Steven shakes his head, unsure if it was meant to answer the question.
Either way, he feels hands on him, at first trying to remind Steven that they’re real. The hands are gentle. Scarred, rough, but gentle and slow. Their long fingers are a history of cooking cuts. Steven doesn’t know how he can tell all these details, but he does.
“Easy…” the sixteen-year-old is gradually being moved to sit.
But he knows that he’ll be closer to the butterflies.
“WAIT!” Steven yells in panic.
“What?” The other person stops immediately, but still gets a hold on him.
“I-I don’t want… I don’t…” Steven can’t even say the right words, so they come out as, “I don’t wanna die…”
Well, they’re still kind of true.
“Hey, you’re not going to die.”
“I don’t want to…”
“You’re not. I’m here,” Lars – Lars Barriga, perhaps the best person to deal with someone in this situation – promises. “I’m here, Steven.”
You’ve got nothing to fear
I’m here, I’m here, I’m here.
…
Whimpering.
“I don’t wanna go home.”
He gets silence.
“I d-don’t wanna go h-home,” Steven cries like a little kid after a nightmare. “I-It’s so… empty… so…”
“Lonely?”
Steven nods painfully.
“You’re not going to be alone, okay? I won’t let that happen.”
Lars sounds so sure, and the way he’s rubbing Steven’s shoulders… it brings the latter shivers. The good kind of shivers.
And tears. So many of them. All the tears that he has swallowed and never released them.
Steven clings to his friend, who squeezes him in return, the hug as rough and tender as his mere touch.
“I’ve got you, buddy,” Lars reassures him. “I’m not going anywhere.”
It only makes Steven sob harder, purely out of relief. It’s so ironic, but so true.
He cries for a good couple of minutes or hours, smelling vanilla and butter in Lars’ clothes, not minding the dirty apron the baker is wearing at all. Steven wants to absorb that smell and make it his home, because it feels so safe that he doesn’t want it to go away. He doesn’t want the hands to let him go ever again.
And it feels like Lars wants to protect him from the world, from whatever horrible thing that made Steven like this. Even if he can’t see the butterflies, Lars still seems to shield Steven from them.
Just that has the half-gem finally face reality, finding the butterflies roaming there, endlessly coming out of the trash bin. As Steven expected.
However, with Lars holding him right now, Steven doesn’t feel so overwhelmed anymore.
So… this is what he needed.
He gets now.
Thus, the butterflies finally end and they fly to the sky above, replacing the stars. They will never disappear, as he already knew.
Steven relaxes significantly, like he’s going to pass out in the hug. He lets out a shaky breath while Lars hugs him tightly in response, knowing that it’s the perfect kind of tightness for Steven.
Lars also breathes in and out deeply, squeezing the boy some more.
“Come on,” he whispers, “let’s go inside.”
This time, Steven accepts it, glowing pink and everything.

“... I’m sorry,” he sniffs. “I’m sorry I snapped at you like that.”
Lars sighs, but in regret. “I’m sorry, too. For being a jerk to you.”
Neither of them give excuses.
Steven contemplates the night sky from the skyscrapers, aware he can see the butterflies from there. In the meantime, Lars holds him as Steven has no energy left to cling.
“I hate feeling like this,” the younger teen vents, “it just keeps getting worse with time.”
“So you’ve had this before?”
Steven nods. “I-I’ve tried everything to make it better. Garnet taught me and Connie how to deal with our problems, and it worked for Connie… but not for me. And I asked Garnet for help, but instead she just gave me a life lesson and Pearl and Amethyst didn’t even care, and they LEFT ME without ANYTHING!” Steven snaps, only for him to cover his mouth and freeze, scared he might have startled Lars.
Lars, however, doesn’t look scared of him at all.
Instead, sad. Maybe angry, but not at Steven.
“So yeah, I’m expected to do everything on my own, I’m used to it!” Steven continues, more furious. “I looked it up online, since Connie told me about ‘anxiety’, and I did everything they taught me to manage it, but nothing soothes my chest, nothing calms me down… I think I only felt good when you invited me, and I got to see you guys again. I haven’t felt this happy in so long, a-and then OBVIOUSLY, something always has to RUIN it for me.”
He tears up again, his eyes burning pink and red.
“I-I… I got a text from the gems that they’re going to be gone for two months , a-and I couldn’t reach them. Because they’d already left. EVERYONE left. T-They all left me .”
Lars doesn’t say anything, choosing to hug Steven closer, nuzzling his black curls, doing everything to make sure Steven feels loved and cared for.
“Why does everyone leave me?” The half-gem asks.
Except Steven knows why.
He’s selfish. Useless. Clingy.
He doesn’t say any of these things, yet Lars pulls away just slightly with a stern look.
“Steven,” the older teen begins seriously, “listen to me, you don’t deserve to be abandoned, okay? No kid in the world deserves to be abandoned or neglected; they deserve to be reminded every single day that they’re loved in all the ways possible. You didn’t fail anyone by existing. I know everyone out there”– Lars gestures at the above –“made you believe that, but they’re WRONG.”
There’s some kind of ferocity in Lars’ words, the same one Steven heard back when the boys were abducted to Homeworld – firstly when Lars refused to leave the ship without Steven, and then when he convinced Steven to return home instead of sticking with Lars and the Off Colors.
A sense of protection, perhaps.
Steven feels warm inside, which he feels ashamed of for some reason, and at the same time it hurts. Which makes no sense, because it’s the good kind of hurt. What kind of hurt is good?
Still, the glowing boy’s eyes are only filled with more water.
Noticing that, Lars gently wipes some of it for him.
“You don’t have to be useful, Steve,” he says tenderly. “You don’t have to be self-sufficient, you don’t have to be strong all the time. You deserve to have someone, and you deserve to have someone when you feel the whole weight of the galaxy crushing you.”
Steven sniffs, contemplative.
Lars’ words are believable. Steven has always trusted him, and has always thought the world of him. Steven loved Lars from the beginning, embracing every little part of him, the weight that he also carried.
Still… one question keeps haunting Steven every single day, every single night.
“... do you think they would treat my mom like this if I weren’t here?”
Lars immediately tenses, immobile like a doll. Not a corpse, but a doll.
Steven, admittedly, asked that to himself. He knows Lars won’t have the answers. He can’t speak for the gems. It feels cruel to Lars, who’s just trying his best to help a friend in need.
The silence this time is not comforting. Steven fears he ruined everything again.
“Steven?” Lars suddenly sounds… fragile.
When the younger boy looks up, he sees a teary Lars already staring back.
“I love you,” the latter tells him.
The broken way he says it…
“Whenever you feel unloved, whenever you feel alone or whenever the gems fuck off to wherever they go without a trace,”– Steven’s eyes widen at the word choice –“I want you to remember that I love you, and that you’re always welcome here. There’s always food and life here, no emptiness at all. And you can always go see me at Spacetries and we can have a coffee and chat like the old days, or if we can’t see each other in person for any reason, you can call me. I can always teleport, too. I can do literally anything to help you, Steven, and I want to help you, because I love you , okay?”
Lars is cupping his cheeks like they’re precious, wiping Steven’s tears and crying his own. Like Lars is the one crying for him now, feeling his pain for him.
“I’m here for you. I’ll always be here, no matter how, no matter what,” he insists.
Steven is too speechless to react.
He realizes, though…
He stops glowing pink.
And he forgets everything else, with how genuine Lars’ love is.
Steven merely lies down against his friend, who covers him properly with his blanket. Lars caresses the boy’s black hair, in the same way that Steven has always craved for, even if it reminded him of bad memories.
It’s perfect just the way it is. Perfect in every way, just like you.
He doesn’t want Lars to ever stop.
He doesn’t want this to ever be gone.
But Lars won’t leave him. He will make sure Steven never feels anxious or useless on his own again.
And Steven…
“... I love you, too,” he whispers.
Lars tightens his arms around him, this time sniffing. If he cries on Steven’s head, neither of them talk about it.
It stays between them.

okay for faves this year i am def gonna go w my last read which was in memoriam, alice winn! it was so. so sad and kinda makes my tummy hurt to remember it, but just incredibly well written and the characters were like .. !!!!!! ahh i loved them so much, it was the first book i'd read in a v long time where i stayed up crazy late finishing it & immediately wanted to reread as soon as it was over <3 it is starting at me from my shelf rn but i am holding out til fall <3
i was pleasantly surprised by my brilliant friend, elena ferrante! i worried i might find it a bit dull but it was so much fun those lil italian girlies were crazy & co-dependent. think it would make a perf summer read :-)
hmm i was a bit disappointed by under the whispering door, tj klune. i was prepared to be sorta emotionally destroyed by it as it was inspired by the author's own life & grief, but i didn't really connect with the characters as much as i did in the house in the cerulean sea :-//
AND LASTLY THE MOMENT WE'RE REALLY HERE FOR!!!!!! i ended up listening to the thg audio books which were narrated by tatiana maslany and she did SO GOOD!! getting 2 exp them in a whole new format was like getting 2 read for the first time again truly. and peeta, brynn... i sometimes forget. and he is like... crying emoji heart eye emoji angel emoji...those tags on your peeta <3 post made me crazy he makes me crazy I CAME HERE W HER..the PEARL !!!!! :-O also finnick. and annie. jfc .. anyway the first one is free on spotify (slay) and i bought the second but held off buying third and gonna make my sister do it so i can listen bc i lavvvvvv them so so much <3 prim... <3
