Hello! May I ask headcanons for Kiseki no Sedai? Their reaction to their girl being cool and sexually dancing (something like k-pop girl group cover dance, if you know it) with her dance team at a school festival (or something like that).

A/N: Since my character limit is five I chose to do hcs for Akashi, Aomine, Kise, Murasakibara and Midorima, hope that’s fine with you! I immediately thought of Loona’s dance cover of Cherry Bomb by NCT 127 (https://youtu.be/s7kxoMYg3l8) which is so BADASS (both the song and choreography) and Move by Taemin (inspired by Twice’s cover: https://youtu.be/QTfzryUBlO0). Reader is in a group that dances to both in one set! Also I’m assuming the reader is in the school’s dance club/group that decided to do a cover of a lit K-pop song for some kind of school festival!

Akashi Seijuro

Since he is president of the student council, he is backstage helping ensure the performances/festival runs smoothly

Has timings of each performance down to the second — and he knows exactly when you and your dance group is slated to perform

Since your dance group had to submit the songs + a short clip of your performance to the student council, Akashi already knows what songs you are going to perform

Was going to do some more research on what the choreography involved, but you begged him not to because you wanted to surprise him at the festival

Doesn’t stop him from listening to the songs and familiarizing himself with the melodies and lyrics - k-pop is something you are passionate about and he always want to learn more about his girlfriend

While you and your group are on deck and getting ready to go on stage (he knows there are still two more acts before you) he stands next to you

Maybe kisses your forehead I AM SO SOFT FOR FOREHEAD KISSES FIGHT ME

“I’d say good luck, but I don’t think you’ll need it darling” afjaofe;ja;feka

You’re Akashi fucking Seijuro’s girlfriend - he has high standards and probably would date someone who is equally as hardworking + high achieving as him

Besides, outside of basketball he knows Rakuzan has an equally formidable dance program so the boy knows you are talented

Is so impressed when you start dancing to Cherry Bomb - the choreography is intense and requires so much synchronization as you switch between all the complex formations - he thinks you could teach the basketball team a thing or two about teamwork

You go HARD with the tutting at the end before you start doing edging your feet out until you’re almost doing the splits - Akashi respects how much strength and training went into performing the dance break + ending flawlessly

When the music changes to Move he is STARING at you - eyes are glued to your form as you perform

The moves are so sensual and he can see how you intensely look out into the audience - he can sense the sexual tension that fills the room

At the same time is awed by how much control you have over your body - he can see how every movement is planned, from the position of your hands to the way you shift your weight between each dance move

As your hands glide along your body, he can’t help but get slightly turned on

Also glares at all the male members of the student body who are looking at you a little too intently

When you finish your set he calmly hands you a water bottle while smiling proudly

May ask you for a private encore later

Aomine Daiki

You mention the performance in passing, probably while you and Aomine are having lunch on the roof

Despite his nonchalant response, Aomine remembers that you’re performing in the back of his mind - although he does get the occasional reminder from Momoi or teasing remark from Imayoshi

Doesn’t really want to get too involved in the school festival - it’s far too rowdy and he thinks the idea his class came up with for the festival is a hassle (imagine if it was a butler cafe LMAO poor Aomine)

Probably sneaks away from his shift managing his classroom’s booth or to find you and wish you luck (or uses you as an excuse to ditch his shift for a couple of minutes)

He knows you’re good at dance - he’s seen how many hours you spend rehearsing and how much you love dancing (and Kpop)

Will sneak into the auditorium and probably stand in the middle of the crowd - probably doesn’t see the point of cramming in the crowded area right in front of the stage

Impatiently waits for you to come up on stage, he’s bored and is sick of the skits that other groups are putting on

When it’s finally your turn he’s focusing intently on the stage. The instant you come out in a badass outfit with dark makeup and a black crop top he grins because you look AMAZING

The music starts and you launch into an intense sequence of tutting and formations shifts that has his eyes widening in surprise

now he understands why you always felt the need to drill the choreography into your muscle memory, because remembering moves on top of switching spots with everyone else makes the performance that much more impressive

Proud of his badass girlfriend

When Move comes on he smirks - although you can’t see him, he watches you move your hips and trace the outline of your figure

Can appreciate the sensual yet serious expression on your face that makes you look gorgeous, but definitely does not appreciate the dumbass boys in the audience who are drooling over your body

After the performance he finds you and kisses you before wrapping his arm around your shoulders

Scowling at the now intimidated boys from before, he says “Gotta remind those idiots that you’re mine”

Will definitely invite you over to his place to spend the night for some “quality time”

Kise Ryouta

Kise knows you’ll be performing a kpop dance at the school festival and is super excited

He probably helped style you and your team for each song - pulling out some leather jackets and ripped jeans for Cherry Bomb and picking out a diverse all black ensemble + accessories for your cover of Move

He hypes you up all day about the showcase: sends you good luck texts and gives you a hug before you have to go backstage + will keep you company when you do your make up before hand

Is not afraid to elbow his way through the audience so he can have a front row seat to your performance

Made the entire Kaijo basketball team come with him and instructs them to cheer loudly for your performance

He’s pretty up to date with current music trends and listens to a fair amount k-pop himself so he’d probably recognize the songs you were dancing to + be somewhat familiar with the choreography

When you come on stage he’s already shouting “Go y/n-chii!!!” which makes you smile and you manage to make brief eye contact with him right before you get into your starting pose

It’s like a switch is flicked - you went from being his cute and smiley girlfriend to a serious BADASS - your expressions are so intense and serious Kise can’t help but be drawn in

When he hears the opening line of Cherry Bomb he’s thinking oh shit because damn that choreography is tough

From the tutting, to moving in sync with all the other members, to all the different formation changes - he knows this is a challenging piece to perform

Gave you his leather jacket (he probably got it from a modelling gig or something) to wear and seeing you dance in his jacket is just *chef’s kiss* stunning

and it lets all the other annoying boys in the crowd know that you’re his because it has his jersey number embroidered on the back

If people start shouting the fanchants he’ll join in because anything to support his amazing girlfriend

When you all change outfits and switch to move he is dying

He’s right in front of you and you are making very direct and SENSUAL eye contact with your boyfriend while you move your hips into another body roll

Kise smirks back and will pin you with an equally intense and lustful stare

When he sees you after the performance he immediately strides towards you and pulls you into a fierce kiss

Spends the rest of the festival with his arm around you, bragging about his amazing girlfriend to anyone who will listen, then he’ll take you home and ;)

May take advantage of perfect copy and learn a duet/routine with you sometime in the future

Midorima Shintaro

MY CARROT BOI — I swear I am taking this seriously

Midorima probably doesn’t listen to too much kpop - he prefers being able to enjoy the lyrics of a song and listening to Japanese music means he won’t have to look up lyric translations

Maybe has heard some Japanese versions of kpop songs on the radio, but is overall unfamiliar with the genre (context: Since Japan has such a huge market for K-pop, it’s not uncommon for groups to release Japanese albums where they sing the the in Japanese)

When you first mention that your club is going to be performing at the school festival, he probably pictures some cutesy, bubblegum pop girl group song

Is putting this into his calendar and making sure he sets reminders because he is NOT about to miss his girlfriend’s performance

Secretly happy because you are putting in extra practice for the rehearsal which means you stay late at school. Since basketball practice always runs late he’s glad he now has the chance to walk you home

Day of: checks your Oha-Asa horoscope and makes sure that you have your lucky item - he will buy it himself if necessary

Knows you worked super hard on this performance so he knows you’re going to be fine

This tsundere carrot shyly wishes you good luck before you head backstage: “Good luck y/n, not that you’ll need it! Nanodayo…” with a slight blush on his cheeks

Makes his way back to the audience - he made Takao save him a spot

Somehow Takao got his hands on a setlist/hear rumors and figured out what you were performing and is secretly filming Midorima’s reaction because your boyfriend is about to COMBUST

Cherry Bomb comes up and Midorima immediately realizes this is NOT the cute girl group dance he was envisioning

Is probably watching your performance intently - he never realized that your choreography would be this intense and physical

Probably not as blushy during this one, just entranced and absorbed into your performance (will refuse to admit that he stared at you the entire time, even though Takao teases him about it later)

But when you transition to the cover of Move, oh gosh, this boy goes from stony faced to bright red tomato

Is 100% blushing and gaping at you while you perform the sensual routine, especially when your hands move across your body and you purposefully make eye contact with him

Realizing holy shit my girlfriend is so sexy holy shit you thought he was staring at you during Cherry Bomb his eyes are glued to your figure during Move

Probably rushes up to you awkwardly and gives you a surprise hug before whispering “Give me a little warning next time y/n.”

You giggle a bit, not mentioning the routine you’re learning on your own (Dally by Hyolyn: https://youtu.be/b75eENj0WCQ) surprise him with it in the future hehehehehehe)

Murasakibara Atsuhi

Murasakibara is hanging out in your dorm room when you mention that you have an upcoming performance

“Ohh y/n-chan that sounds fun”

Lowkey pouty baby because he wanted to laze around during the festival and just spend the day trying all the food with you

Now he won’t have his girlfriend to keep him company for the whole day

When you ask him if he’s going to come and watch, he’ll agree, because it’s at the school and it isn’t too much of a hassle and he knows you put in a lot of practice so he wants to support

Tatsuya probably still has to remind him about the performance on the day of

On the morning of your performance you wake up to find a bag of your favorite snacks and candies hanging on your doorknob

Murasakibara probably went to the nearby convenience store and bought you a bunch of “good luck” snacks to surprise you

Tatsuya and him walk into the auditorium, is kind of disappointed to see that it’s already packed so he has to settle for a seat farther away than what he liked

Thankfully he’s tall AF so he still gets a clear view of the stage

Snacks through the other performances/skits and gets pretty bored, he’s here to see you and you only

Finally, they announce your club - Murasakibara immediately perks up with interest

Your group has a badass entrance before you start performing Cherry Bomb

You decided to temporarily dye your hair red for the performance and Murasakibara is surprised when you whip off the hat you were wearing to reveal bright cherry tinted hair

He’s watched you practice the moves several time and knows you struggled to master some of them - super proud when he sees you slay those hard bits of choreography on stage

Move comes on the speaker and he immediately can sense that this is definitely a very sensual dance

Like damn, watching you move your hips to the beat and confidently gazing into the crowd, he is very turned on definitely wants an encore from you in private

When you hit the last pose and the lights dim he is IMMEDIATELY walking out of the auditorium to find you

Sees that you’re surrounded by some newly acquired fanboys and casually steps in behind you to wrap an arm around your waist

Towers over the guys surrounding at you, a scowl from him scares them off

You giggle at his antics because he’s cute when he’s jealous: “You don’t need to be that mean to them Atsushi”

“Y/n-chaaaan, can we go get food now?” - probably buys you all the snacks you want because he is proud

Introduction/Get to know Me!

Hello ya'll I'm Radish Dweeb, here's an intro to my kpop opinions. I currently stan 5 groups and am getting into one (txt). Here is a ranking of my 5 ult groups (Mamamoo, Red Velvet, Oneus, Dreamcatcher, Brown Eyed Girls) with my bias, favorite album, and favorite song.

5. Brown Eyed Girls

Oh my lord this group is just amazing, stage presence queens. I feel really bad for the kpop mold, the number of times beg has broken it is ridiculous.

Bias: Miryo possibly my favorite kpop rapper of all time. She just brings so much energy to every rap and has incredible flow. adjfaldjf amazing.

Favorite album: Sixth Sense. The grove in this album. Vendetta, Swing it Shorty, and the Sixth Sense are so good.

4. Dreamcatcher

I used to think girl groups in kpop just did cute concepts, boy was a wrong. The moment I heard the guitar riffts in Piri, I feel in love with this group.

Bias: Dami or Siyeon I can'd decide. Dami has the amazing rap delivery, but Siyeon has them beautiful high notes.

Favorite Album: Dystopia: the tree of language. This album is my favorite for the lamest reason, it's the longest!!! In every Dreamcatcher ep I always have one or two songs I just ADORE. (Wonderland, I Miss You, Silent Night, Sleep Walking ect;) but Dystopia has so many songs that just let me bask in Dreamcatcher. Black and White, In the Frozen, and Red Sun (the rapppppppp) are just great.

Favorite song: Piri. I actually first saw the music video to this song during a really hard time in my life, and it brought so much comfort to me. I was hooked within the first 2 seconds of the video. Dami's rap and Siyeon's "blow that flute/piri" (its in Korean, so I'm just putting the English translation) were beautiful. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pq_mbTSR-a0&ab_channel=Happyfaceentertainment

3. Oneus

Stage masters with one of my favorite group dynamics and an increible concept to boot.

Bias: While Hwangwoon looks like water on stage and constantly overflows with confidence (he's my bias wrecker), I gotta give this one to Keonhee. His clear tones are amazing, and really stand out during ballads (Blue Sky is my favorite example of this). Also the guy is a goofball with amazing reactions.

Favorite album: Raise Us. We have Twilight, White Night (beautiful song), the meme that is English Girl, and my favorite song Now. Just amazing.

Favorite song: This is a cruel question I've given myself. While I can't say my favorite song, here are my top five favorites (not ordered)

1. Valkyrie: got me into Oneus. Amazing just amazing

2. White night: The "I can love you in the dark" has made me almost cry

3. Now: The chorus is a bop.

4. Blue Sky: Amazing ballad, the live version of this song made Keonhee my bias.

5. A Song Written Easily: In It's time is just a great single/ep (it also has Hide and Seek which is great)

2. Red Velvet

Welcome to the group that made my obsessed with kpop. It all started out with me watching Russian Roulette, and being shocked when I saw chick got pushed into an empty pool (rip Yeri). 5 watches later, I found Peakaboo, Red Flavor, and the gorgeous video that is Bad Boy (keep in mind this was my first girl crush music video, so I was blown away). The rest is history.

Bias: Wendy. She's just such a good person, there are compilations of her caring for members, comforting them, and even stopping in the middle of a sidewalk to put litter in the recycling bin. Wow, she is wholesome. Also, her voice is amazing. Her high note in Bing Bing, adlibs in Psycho (damn you SBS), and her voice in Cool Hot Sweet Love make me break out in a grin every time.

Favorite album: This is very difficult. My favorite comeback has to be Psycho (again, damn you SBS) with its stellar music video and the bside that is In and Out, but it only has 4 songs. I'm going to have to go with The Red for my favorite album. We get Oh Boy (Wendy's vocalsssssss ahhhhh), Red Dress, and Ladies Room which are all amazing. The variety in this album is just overall really great.

Favorite Song: Cool Hot Sweet Love. The climax of this song with the layered vocals of "we gotta cool cool cool, hot sweet love" is legitimately one of the most beautiful things I've heard. ReVeluv for life.

1. MAMAMOO

How do I even start to describe this group. MAMAMOO holds a special place in my heart, and I am so lucky to be graced with their amazing vocals.

Bias: Okay MAMAMOO has my favorite kpop group dynamic of all time. They bring such a fun presence to their stages and are so relaxed with each other during variety shows. They feel like genuine friends and I love it. Unfortunately, my love of MAMAMOO makes it *very* hard for me to choose a bias. My current bias is Wheein. Her voice is the backbone of MAMAMOO and has this gorgeous healing aspect to it. She has also talked about her mental health and publicly supported the LGBT community (which I am a part of) while just being a great person. I also love love love Hwasa (queen), Moonbyul, and Solar, but Wheein is something special

Favorite album: This is very close between Melting and Yellow Flower. While Yellow Flower has my favorite solo song ever (Hwasa's solo Be Calm) and the bop that is Rude Boy, Melting is incredible. Everything from 1cm (the offical Wheein diss track), Friday Night, I Miss You, Cat Fight, and Just is pure gold.

Favorite song: While I do find Egotistic to be Mamamoo's best music video (Declomanie is a very close second) Just from Melting is my favorite song of theirs. Just has a really special place in my heart. The "I hate you" has legitimately made me cry. MAMAMOO is a group I stand with my entire being.

"Christmas Spirit"

This is my first series so please cut me some slack but also I welcome constructive criticisms! This is in Korean so for those of you who can read Korean and English, go ahead! I will post a full English version link to the Wattpad story in the masterlist!

Pairing: baekhyun x dayeon (reader), sehun x suah, suho x bora, chanyeol x sunny, kai x yoona

Genre: kpop group collaboration!AU

Word Count: 1303 words

Description: Today is the day where they start the process of creating the album book by taking photos! Oh, and it’s Suah’s birthday…

Disclaimer: I have no idea how any of this works. I’m just going off of the little info I DO know so please bear with me as I try to fill the chapters with what I think (or what I just make up) on how to make an album and the other kpop things.

Masterlist

"Cuz we have the Christmas Spirit! 우리는 너와 공유하고 싶다. 우리의 Christmas spirit을 받아들이겠어?"

"안녕하세요! Welcome to our VLIVE! This is our VLIVE for new album 'Christmas Spirit'!" 준면 starts as the directors give us the signal that the cameras are rolling.

"네, how about we introduce ourselves?" Bora says, right next to Suho. Yup. Our first VLIVE's as couples and each of us were sitting next to each other while 종대, 경수, and 민석 sit on the floor. There we 2 couches and 1 large armchair so Bora, 준면, 종인 and Yoona were sitting on the first couch, 선희 (Sunny's real name, Seonhui), Chanyeol, Suah, and Sehun were on the other couch and I was sitting on the large armchair while Dayeon sat on the armrest. This is the first time I saw her in like natural yet not too natural makeup. It was either really natural or really drastic. This was in the middle and th artists did well making her eyes look bigger, even though they were already big, and just making each of her features cohesive. Her outfit went really well with the makeup as well. An oversized knit sweater that I recognized as mine with mom jeans and a cute light up reindeer headband. Her hair, perfectly curled, sat on her shoulders nicely and overall, she looked like the star of the show.

"Ah, 네, I guess I'll start. 안녕하세요, 엑소 리다 수호 입니다." He bows formally. I was so close to yawning. This was as boring as we first met.

"안녕하세요." I snap out of it when I hear her voice. Oh, it's me next. "버불검의 다연 입니다." She bows.

"아 네, 안녕 에리들!" I wave at the camera. "백현이 왔어!" I say dramatically. The others laugh and Dayeon slightly giggles.

"아, now that we've all introduced ourselves, why don't we start right away." 준면 starts again.

"Over here, we have some questions that the fans asked and we are here to answer them and maybe even share some Christmas spirit." Bora says pointing to the little coffee table in front of us with a acrylic bin decorated with santa hat and christmas light stickers. Each paper was a different color and were folded to resemble a santa hat.

"Good one 언니." Suah says.

"종대야 아니, 첸씨, would you like to pick one of these hats?" He pushes the bin towards 종대, who was across from him. He choose the green paper.

"Who had the most Christmas Spirit during the album process? By the way, 사랑해 오빠들이 그리고 언니들!" 종대 reads.

"Ahh..." 경수 starts. "I think 다연씨 had the most Christmas Spirit." He stops there. I laugh.

"왜요? Please explain." I say.

"Oh, well, she always wanted to help and was super bright and cheery but is still super kind and not annoying." He says.

"오, 감사합니다 but I'm always like that. That's not just Christmas Spirit. It's Dayeon Spirit." She says.

"Just accept the compliment." Yoona says tiredly. "Let's move on, shall we? 카이씨, do you want to pick one?"

"Sure." He reaches over to grab a paper. He grabs a purple one. We continue with questions and start to play some games.

"Our first game is a test." Minseok 형 explains.

"Ahhhh, we're not in school! 시험을 받는거 싫어요!" I whine slightly flailing my arms and legs like a child.

"This will be a more fun test," Minseok 형 continues calmly, ignoring me, "In your 'couples', you will take a test to see how well you guys know each other. Whichever gets the highest score wins 3 points, 2nd place, 2 points, 3rd place, 1 point. 알겠어요 여러분?" We nod. One of the staff members passes 형 a stack of clipboards and he hands each of us a clipboard. "Guys, spread out, we don't want anyone to cheat, do we?" As we spread out, I look at the form, it was the typical questions, favorite color, animal, things like that. Aish... I never asked her those, I should've asked. After 15, everyone was about done with their quizzes and returned back to their seats.

"Ahhh, now that we have finished the tests, let us now look at the answers. With your partner, check your answers and let us know your scores." The camera starts going around, filming the couples as they compare their answers. Dayeon got almost all my answers right, turns out she did a background check on everyone in EXO and now has random facts in her head from the weird websites she looked at. Me, on the the other hand, only got half right. Better than none I guess. We got about 85% average. Lucky for us, that was pretty high. Sehun and Suah got 60%. Junmyeon and Bora got 50%. Chanyeol and Sunny got 45%. Jongin and Yoona got 25%.

"Great start for this live right? Good thing you did a background check on all of us. Did you think we were gangsters or something? Why did you do a background check?" I tease Dayeon. She blushes and hides her face with the clipboard.

"I like knowing stuff..."

"Congratulations on your 3 points, dream team." Chanyeol gives us a thumbs-up. We played charades next, which was hilarious by the way, and of course, the dancers won. Don't worry though, we got second. 5 points... we're still in the lead.

"Lastly, the game we all have been waiting for, the 빼빼로 게임! 여러분, 이 게임이 아시죠? Since we do, let's just start." Kyungsoo starts.

"Dream team, you want to go first, or last?" I look over to Dayeon.

"Let's get this over with, we'll go first." Ouch, that hurt.

"You want to get this over with? Am I that boring?" I tease. We were passed a 빼빼로 stick. I bit on one end, she did the other. "도전!" I say with the stick in my mouth. We bite until our lips are touching but not fully. I let go and let the stick fall into my hand.

"와... 되게 짧아..." Dayeon whispers.

"How are we supposed to beat THAT?!" Sehun says.

"I have no idea... just lose?" Suah says.

"Yeah, we already lost." They shake their heads. The others have a hard time getting close to our 1 cm stick. Junmyeon 형 and Bora just kissed, they ate the whole stick. Smh...

"I guess the winners are Baekhyunnie and Dayeonnie." Bora says, slightly dazed from the kiss.

"8 points, not bad... we're in first place right?" I ask.

"Yeah, you never told us what the prize was." Dayeon follows.

"Oh, 맞다. That was the last game and the prize, I don't know but it's this box soo... here you go." Jongdae says. He hands us a wrapped present from under the tree.

"열어." I hand the box to Dayeon. She rips it open, her eyes lighting up at what was in the box.

"오빠, 오빠!" she pats my shoulder in excitement. "한우이야! 이거 봐!" I look inside the box and a smile immediately appears on my face.

"Why didn't you tell us the prize earlier?! We would tried harder!" Junmyeon complains.

"So you didn't try your hardest?"

"No, we did, but we would've tried harder."

"아무튼, we got 한우 and you didn't, haha..." I taunt.

"Okay, since 다연 and 백현이 won, you guys will sing your duet song in our new album, "Christmas Spirit"!" They pass us a microphone as the melody starts to play. 다연 starts singing the verse solo and then I start harmonizing. As we finish the song, I hear the others clap.

Ahh by that I meant like you know how kpop albums have concept pictures included? Thats how I view what the TTT magazines are just minus a physical disc cx sorry for the confusion!! Honestly this is all so new and interesting, seventeen never really done something like this. Yes we had mixtape songs but not in this way so promotion will be different. I saw wonwoo and mingyu are doing a song but that isn't related to spider so that means its like jun's and minghao's songs. Which makes things a bit confusing lol, not complaining since hey more content for us ^_^ but yeah guess we have yo see when the next solo actually is. Oh and seventeen coming back!! This is the kind of news I needed, I'm shocked they actually have their own usa site to buy stuff (sort of like nct has) because I know bts nor txt don't. Well bts USED to but that was before bighit decided to shut it down in favor for weverse which sadly I don't see the need for (plus call me old and weird but I don't trust buying stuff from apps? Like I feel a bit more comfy on a computer which Ik doesn't mean its not safer but meh, apps make me fishy lol) also Walmart is selling the albums, bless my family uses Walmart alot (like we used it last night xD) so maybe I can squeeze it in next time? Granted I want to wait for the concept photos first because while I do like a surprise, its also just nice knowing what the vibe is. Or be the complete opposite of what the mv will be about lol.

Ahh as much i was being hopeful and had her eat, sadly my bunny didn't make it =c she passed away on the weekend. She was a strong bunbun, she tried her best to make it out but alas she didn't win. ahhh ok i get what you mean! it will definitely be interesting to see how it all plays out since SVT haven't done a project like this before. I'm really curious how spread out all the solos are going to be. esp with a cb coming up it seems unlikely we'll get a TTT solo any time soon? but then again SVT are always surprising us these days. but i wonder if they'll come out just whenever a member happens to prepare it or if it's all scheduled out at semi regular intervals 🤔

but yeah it looks like bittersweet is part of the power of love project as opposed to TTT... it's getting complicated real fast! and yeah SVT is definitely expanding into/focusing more on US promotions now... it will be interesting to see how it all plays out! but i totally get what u mean about preferring to buy things on the computer it's funny how that is sometimes djfkgj i had been thinking about preordering the other day since it seemed like we wouldn't be able to pick the version we want anyway, but now that there are some shops that let you i definitely want to wait and see the teaser photos. every day i keep expecting them to start releasing but we get a different surprise instead OTL

I'm sorry to hear about your bunny :( but it's good that you were able to spend time with her at the end, I'm sure it made her feel safe to have someone who cared for her by her side rather than being alone <3 try not to feel too guilty about it, since what's done is done and there's no way to know for sure if it was the sole reason for her failing health. it's good that you're able to recognize and work through your grief, and i think finishing that game is a great way to do that and to honor her memory :')

and thanks, we lost her a little while ago now so luckily thinking about her is more nostalgic than sad. but as for a funny story Riley was a gremlin. she got up on the counters and kitchen table a lot when we weren't looking. she also liked eating paper and we had to be careful where we left things bc once she ate my sister's homework. which, ok, she didn't eat the entire paper but she did eat a corner of it and sort of ripped and crinkled the rest. i can't remember if my sister turned it in like that or if she had to redo it djgkgj

I finished dance practice with my fellow band members. “Okay girls good job today, your comeback “Love Like Chocolate” album will be a hit! You are all dismissed to your dorms” Manager Unnie says to us. We nod and walk to our dorm of the JYP building.

Once I have everything I run out the door and to the elevator. Felix was in the elevator.

Skip to SM Building

I get to the dorm part of SM and I knock on the DREAMIES door. Chenle opens the door and screeches like the dolphin he is.

KCON NY 2019 Recap

Wow I was actually in New York for four days and four nights. When I first saw the fromis_9 KCON NY announcement I knew there was no way I wasn't going to go. It looks like they made some great memories in NY/LA and I wanted a part of the fun too. Plus I wanted to avoid some of the regret I had last year in that I didn't go to KCON LA 2018. I already got super invested in them through June/July but I don't think I was emotionally ready/mature enough to go on a solo trip like this by myself.

Friday, July 5th

So to start out my trip, my flight to Newark was delayed for four hours. At least at the airport, I met the most beautiful family and got to play with their kids for a couple hours. The kids went boy girl boy where the youngest boy was causing trouble (literally me since I’m the third child), and the girl had no concept of stranger danger so she told me a wide assortment of TMIs about her family. The lady sitting next to me (Annie!) on the flight was also the sweetest soul imaginable, so we chatted for a couple hours before both watching Crazy Rich Asians (I admittedly cried at the ending).

I arrived after 9pm (no chance for early check-in or Klub KCON though I didn't want to dance with 16 year olds anyways), and I get anxious af when I'm in a foreign place without knowing exactly where I'm going, so I mass googled/kept asking for strangers for help to get to Manhattan. After I got settled into my hotel, Maya met me outside we went to Times Square! I'm so glad she came out and saw me that night because 1) I haven't seen her since summer of maybe 2016? so I missed her a ton 2) I literally had no idea how the NY subway worked before she told me 3) I wanted to go Times Square at night and 4) I wouldn't have wanted to go alone. We caught up on literally everything and I went to bed pretty late considering I wanted to check-in early to sell my A1 artist engagement pack.

Saturday, July 6th

I got up at 6am EDT (so 3am PDT aka rip), and rushed over to the Javits Convention Center to get in line. I brought like literally nothing because I was afraid you couldn't bring food in or they'd throw away my hydroflask. As it turns it, the staff didn't care at all, and there was hardly any line. After checking in, I got my A1 artist engagement pack ($150) which had an AB6IX high touch, a TXT audience pass, and an SF9 audience pass.

I almost panicked because I didn't know how popular AB6IX was, and if I had gotten ATEEZ/TXT I literally would have made at least a $100 net profit. I sat in line with some new people before I summoned enough courage to go into the artist engagement mob. Almost immediately, a girl ran up to me and asked me if I wanted to sell my hi-touch. I wanted to gauge the "market price" a bit more because I was still early af, but since I was still kinda panicking, I sold it to her for $100 and her SF9 audience pass. I looked around and that's when I figured out all the girls were trying to trade their hi-touches for the groups they wanted and all the guys were trying to buy their IZ ONE/(G)-IDLE hi-touches (the only two girl groups doing an artist engagement since Everglow couldn't attend and fromis_9 wasn't doing one). For the eight groups there, I'm pretty sure the market price went something alone the lines of

where the ">" shows the relative difference between each group. I thought TXT would be up with ATEEZ but I was clearly wrong. That's why I was pretty happy to get the AB6IX hi-touch off my hands. VeriVery hi-touches were being sold for $20 and people were throwing away their audience passes. I heard someone bought an ATEEZ hi-touch for $550 lmao.

I sold my AB6IX hi-touch, sat back in line with my new friends, and traded my TXT audience pass for an ATEEZ audience pass based on my sense of how popular each group was. I made another lap around the mob and a girl bought my ATEEZ audience pass almost instantly for $40. I made another lap maybe ten minutes later and sold one of my SF9 audience passes for $30 (I'm pretty sure I ripped her off on this one really hard but oh well). I couldn't find a buyer for my other SF9 audience pass so I decided to hold onto it until tomorrow since that's when their artist engagement would be. At this point, I was already +$20 in profit and I still had an audience pass leftover.

All the trading chaos settled at around 8:45am, but the convention didn't start until 11am. I just talked with some 16/17 year olds that were ridiculously into ATEEZ and other boy groups (surprisingly not NUEST or Seventeen).

I was one of the first into the convention and I made a full lap to scout around before picking something to do. The Toyota booth snatched me first and when I told them I was legit gonna get a 2020 Camry they were !!! and made me play their game. You had to search the Corolla for four QR codes, and take selfies with the filter that's prompted after scanning it in 90 seconds. The iPad they gave me glitched the fuck out so I only got three done. They gave me a "The Boyz Meet and Greet" pass which would allow me to go to the front of the line when they made a "surprise visit" at the Toyota booth. I was being a nice guy and told some The Boyz fan about it nearby, so the girl did it, succeeded, and won a fucking IZ ONE hi-touch >.> (people were selling that for $150 minimum...) so yes I'm salty as hell.

At the official merchandise line, if you bought more than $100 of stuff, they'd give you a special merchandise voucher. If you took that voucher to the KCON Star Square, played the game they had every hour and won, you'd get a chance to meet a "surprise artist". There were some official fromis_9 slogan towels for sale for $25, but I decided not to buy it right then and there in case they wanted one big purchase totaling $100. But my dumbass was wrong and the slogan towels sold out 30 minutes later and to this day I still don't have one (they're beautiful). I was also too slow to pre-order it when I bought my convention pass because they closed the presale.

I did some social media sellout booths, wrote some fromis_9 support on the "message to your idols" board, and realized there was nothing to do after that.

I just stood at the Toyota booth where they'd play an entire song and anyone that knew the dance would go up and do it (note they played the ENTIRE song and not just the chorus so for songs that weren't super popular, the stage was empty for a solid two minutes each time). I was only there for maybe 20 minutes, but they played Love Bomb and to my surprise, 4 Walls (which I haven't heard in ages).

I walked around aimlessly for another hour before I realized I hadn't eaten anything for the whole day. I got some really overpriced convention food and sat with some girls I met in line because I was pretty lonely at that point. They were from Chicago and were also there just for ATEEZ. We talked for a bit before they went to line up at MSG for the concert, so I walked around aimlessly for another 45 minutes before I went to one of the panels.

The panel was "The difference between American and KPOP" and Andreas Oberg (wrote Young and Free by Xiumin and Mark, one of my favorite station tracks) and David Amber (wrote Love Bomb, Heart Shaker, Yes or Yes, and Love Bug) were there! The third guy on the panel was pretty annoying, but I'm super interested in how these guys come up with these songs and they shed a ton of insight about it.

They talked about how most successful kpop songs now are actually a combination of multiple melodies put together, which supposedly make the song more interesting. For their particular styles, they try not to repeat the melody between choruses because that would bore the listener and try to have super catchy parts of the song or even the chorus start the track. Something else I found out which was super interesting is how they tailored certain songs for certain companies and groups. Andreas said SM gave him a ton of freedom, but when JYP asked for a song from David, he needed to make the verses long enough for each member to sing (aka Twice needs more lines since there are nine members) and add in rapping parts if the group had a rapper. They had a Q&A section at the end where two people kinda pissed me off since they went up to the mic and made shameless plugs saying how much they adored Andreas/David and were aspiring song writers like them. I actually summoned the courage myself and asked the panel a few questions:

Do you have a good sense of whether a song you wrote will become super popular?

How do you feel about songs that you are very proud of writing that don't become popular, maybe because it was given to a group that isn't that popular?

Do you think composers deserve more credit for making groups popular? The example I used is Blackpink is SUPER popular but their entire soud is almost exclusively produced by Teddy, which almost no one knows about.

I thought they gave me really insightful responses too:

A little bit, but once the song is produced, it's in the hands of the company to promote it with the artist and the choreography.

They're sometimes really sad about songs they create that don't make it big, and Andreas told me he was very fond of Young & Free

David said it's fine the way it is now. The example he used is with movies where the actors/actresses will get all the credit + make the movie famous, but a huge part of the production of the movie is because of the director, who rarely gets any attention.

I walked around aimlessly for another thirty minutes before standing at the KCON Dance Studio to watch the random play dance. I always saw the youtube videos of them so I wanted to see it in person myself. It turns out there was a cluster fuck of people there and we kept getting pushed back so far I couldn't see anything. Two guys in line next to me had Fun Factory albums and fromis_9 posters, so I decided to strike up a conversation with them. It turns out they were also huge flovers AND buddies, so we ditched the random play dance and talked for half an hour about our overall love for kpop. They were also New York locals, and they said they would take me under their wing for the rest of the weekend T_T. We met up with one of the guy's aunts and head to ktown since it was within walking distance, the convention closed at 6, and they wanted something to eat before the concert started at 8.

I took the 순두부 짬뽕 I ordered back to my hotel and ate it while watching the live stream since I only bought a Sunday ticket. On the way back, I also stopped by a store called Koryo Bookstore which sold kpop stuff. I couldn't find any GFriend/fromis_9 stuff I wanted, so I bought a Harry potter book in Korean to practice before going back. The concert livestream was okay, and it felt even shorter because IZ ONE got an extra stage, which I presume was supposed to fill in for Everglow. I lost my shit when NUEST performed Love Paint and Look though because those songs changed my life summer 2016 (they almost made me wish I went). I was still kinda disappointed in them because they had a ton of fans, but they gave off the vibe they only came to NY just to do the concert and leave. I tried sleeping early but as I crawled into bed, I got a fromis_9 vlive notification and I kinda had to watch it in case they spoiled the activities of tomorrow. I saw on twitter they actually arrived on SATURDAY and just toured New York, so obviously there was no way they could be at Saturday's convention. I spammed in chat if they'd have a pinky promise event for maybe 15 minutes but they never saw the comment. I didn't hear any spoilers so I just went to bed tired af since I got like no sleep in the past two days.

Sunday, July 7th

I woke up pretty late on Sunday and bought an expensive ass fancy bagel before getting to the convention center, though I could hardly eat it since I have literally zero appetite when I’m in a foreign place.

I bought the official fromis_9 jersey to match my two buddies just so everyone would know we were flovers at first sight. I also finally took out my Saerom sign and carried it around the convention center. We watched the Sunday opening ceremony and met up with a third guy (a Wiz One) while we waited for the fromis_9 fanclub meeting at 1:30.

I also found a lady willing to buy my SF9 audience pass for $15, which is ridiculous because I saw people giving it away for free at this point.

The fanclub meeting was really interesting. I instantly locked eyes with a girl that had a Saerom sign and we took a few pictures.

We played bingo with a lot of the squares consisting of fromis_9 memes, and two kahoot games where we had to guess which member it was (the pictures were ridiculous) and name the song after only hearing 1 second of it. At the very end, we did the Love Bomb and Fun! fanchants, but it was nearly impossible doing them without already knowing them if you could read romanized hanguel fast enough. I still screamed my heart out though (seriously).

There was nothing interesting left on the schedule, so we walked around before deciding to go to the (G)-IDLE fanclub meeting as well. I missed most of it because I met up with the girl that printed the banners, but there was a really entertaining random play dance at the end. On the way to get the banners, I met the girl that had the Saerom sign during the fromis_9 fan meeting, so we chatted a bit and exchanged numbers (she was here just for fromis_9 and she came from SWEDEN, so I thought we could bond over that). We closed out the day by going to the "2019 Year of Girl Groups" panel.

The panel was really boring, one of the members kept swearing, and they just talked about which girl groups they thought were the most influential in the kpop scene. Personally, I thought the SNSD/f(x) answers were meaningful since Gee shook the world and f(x)'s weird sound + Amber broke down a lot of stereotypes at the time, but some of the Twice answers in the group were a huge stretch. Two fans kept talking about how much Twice meant to them and while that's great and all, I think the rest of the audience felt the same way as I did. At the end, they forgot to give away their prizes, so they basically asked us to walk up and convince the audience why we should get the prize. I walked up and told them I was disappointed I came all the way from California just to see fromis_9 but still didn’t get the chance to. That won me this:

It was like 5:30pm after the panel ended, so we (five of us total) went to ktown to get chicken and hype ourselves up for the concert. They were playing Chung Ha and so many other not as popular girl groups (Weki Meki, Gugudan, Cherry Bullet) that we ended up talking about that for the entire time.

We all split up after we got to Madison Square Garden (I had P1, the group of three had P2, one guy had P3) and had maybe five minutes before the concert started because we showed up so late.

We were all super sad that they started with fromis_9 instead of one of the other boy groups, but I fanchanted and danced my heart out during all the songs.

The people in my section were huge mood killers though. I was sitting in the Chase preferred section, so I feel like the people in that section either a) had their parents use their credit card to buy their tickets or b) got the tickets handed out at some event and weren't even invested in kpop. The two girls to my life were there for seventeen and got on their feet at the end, but the two girls to the right of me sat down and were on their phones for the whole concert.

I got so lucky during the concert. VeriVery covered 24K magic, AB6IX covered Attention, and SF9 covered Love Shot, all songs which I know and love. And a word about Seventeen's stage. I was clearly at KCON for fromis_9, but I also LOVE Seventeen. I didn't pay much attention to their most recent comeback home though since it was a much slower song. However, EVERY SEVENTEEN SONG THEY PERFORMED I ACTUALLY KNEW. They started with 숨이차 which I knew but was indifferent to, but then we got Good To Me, Adore U, AND 아주 Nice. The stadium was freaking shaking during 아주 Nice and when they came back for the surprise encore I think the entire crowd and I died.

I met up with my friends after outside the venue, but three of them had to leave because they had work the next day (locals). I was ready to go back to my hotel content with the concert but disappointed overall, but Sweden girl texted me and told me to meet up with all the other flovers we were with. I met the moderators of the fan club meeting and like ten people that were huge fans and traveled as far as I did here for fromis_9. None of us were tired so we went to ktown to hang out. We talked for two hours over girl groups, fromis_9, guessing each other's biases, and learning our own backstories + age. Like where were these people during the actual convention. Apparently they all knew each other, but because I don't have a twitter, instagram, or am on discord, I was the reason I couldn't be found. I invited Sweden girl to do touristy crap with me on Monday/Tuesday because our flights on Tuesday were at like the same time, but one of the guys there tipped us off for the fromis_9 flash mob happening tomorrow at Washington Square Park at 2:30pm. I personally didn't give a shit about touristy stuff and I only felt obligated to do it because I was in New York, but I clearly only came this far for kpop. We decided to meet up for lunch at like 11am and we all went our separate ways.

Monday, July 8th

We all met up at Chipotle and sat around talking about more kpop stuff.

It was raining surprisingly hard in the morning, so we were all praying the event didn't get canceled. We walked over to Washington Square Park at 1pm and camped out there full of anxiety. I’ll type up what happened at the flash mob in a different post, but in summary, it was the best day of our lives. A ton of flovers had flights to catch, so Sweden girl and got milk tea and just held our hands crying over the event we saw. We rewatched the videos like 15 times (not kidding), took the subway to the Statue of Liberty, took the subway BACK to Washington Square Park because we missed some closure pictures, and then went to Central Park to take more pictures, all while lugging around my silly Saerom sign.

Our heads were in the clouds the entire day so we just sat on a rock and watched the sunset. She met up with a friend from Michigan while I got Halal guys and went back to my hotel room super emotional over the days events.

My dumbass put too much of the red sauce in it which was spicy as HELL so I couldn’t even eat much of it.

Tuesday, July 9th

I woke up late because I wanted to stretch out the best day of my life (yesterday) for as long as possible, and Sweden girl convinced me to go to the airport to say bye to fromis_9 before our flight. I was late as hell, but I booked my ass over to JFK and got to see (G)-IDLE and IZ ONE at the airport (I have videos, not pictures). At the end of the day, fromis_9 wasn't even leaving New York that day so apparently the twitter source was wrong. I wasn't too disappointed though given Monday's events, so I said my good-byes to my partner-in-crime from the weekend and booked my ass to Newark (I was almost late for my flight because New York rush hour, will never underestimate again).

All in all, I give KCON a solid 3/10, but my overall trip was a 12.4/10 because of what happened at Washington Square Park. KCON has much better, ethical ways to suck the money dry out of the fans that are willing to pay. They announce the artist engagement schedule AFTER selling the packs, which baited so many Nuest and Seventeen fans. The layout of the convention was absolutely fucking awful too. They put the Toyota booth dance stage, the KCON stage, the cover stage, and the KCON dance stage fairly close to each other so the music was playing over each other, and the other half of the room had empty booths full of cosmetic products and studying in Korea which has an appeal to like 10% of the people there. They also checked our wristbands when moving between rooms in the convention center, which makes no sense since we needed our wristband to enter the Javits Convention Center period. And in general, there was nothing to do "long term" so so many people were walking around bored like me. The lines for the stuff that could actually be done were ridiculously long (maybe 25-30 minute waits for the free food but that's long enough to miss an entire panel/engagement). The cherry on the cake is they announced the KCON LA lineup today without any teasers (no consistency?) and almost every single artist that went to KCON NY is going to KCON LA. I personally trust KCON LA a bit more to not fuck up everything as bad as KCON NY, but it still feels pretty unethical considering how many of us flew ridiculous distances to NY just for the same line up.

I'm not the biggest fan of New York either. The city is super crowded, smells awful, and I don't feel safe on the streets at all (and I'm a guy). One redeeming quality is that the people that I met were unbelievably nice. I probably asked for directions eight times and every time, I got the most helpful/friendly response. An old white man even saw how I confused I looked an approached me asking exactly how he could help me get to where I wanted to go.

At least now, I think I have the confidence to plan my own solo trip to a faraway place. This was a fun one.

I could have made a small reaction for each member, but I decided to give our child of the sun, Minhyuk, some spotlight. Also, gonna be set right after The Clan Pt. 1 was released, because All In era Minhyuk gives me so much life.

Monsta X, a growing kpop sensation that had just released their 3rd mini album, The Clan pt. 1 <<LOST>>. While he was over in Korea, promoting, doing special stages and appearing on shows for interviews, his little sister was over in England, studying abroad. The two of you were always close, ever since childhood, since you weren’t too much younger than him.

You’ve always supported your brother and his work, but you did it from the sidelines and always made sure to never boast about how your brother was an idol. You hardly mentioned it at all, if it somehow came up in conversation, which it would be incredibly rare if it did, you’d mention your relation, but you never openly broadcasted the information to the world. The world of spotlight wasn’t for you, you were happy enough knowing that Minhyuk knew who you were while you cheered like any other fan in crowds.

You even went to the extent of naming him “VitaMin” in your phone, because one, he’s always filled to the brim with energy somehow, and it wouldn’t let the people who peek over your shoulder and read your phone know who you were contacting.

You’d tell your brother everything, how your day was, what you ate that day and how much, if you were feeling under the weather, if it was a day without rain or cloud, and of course sending him the occasional picture of sights or yourself if his begging was persistent enough. However, there was one thing you neglected to tell him; the fact that even when attending university abroad in England, bullies still found their way into your life.

You don’t know why, but it’s like you had a tracker on you and every bully on the face of the earth is constantly notified of your location through their phone and just attack. You’d easily dealt with the sneers and under the breath the small group of 4 girls would spout out when you walked by, it didn’t bother you much. It was a mistake apparently, as what they teach you in school ‘ignore it and they’ll get bored’ was a lie, because as you ignored, they grew more bolder.

They sought out a reaction from you, and they started almost acting desperate to get one. They’d start grabbing at your arms or sleeves to pull you to them as they spoke to you in harsh tone. They’d take any opportunity to ‘accidentally’ knock your books from your hands or grab onto your bag to where they’d rip it by yanking it backwards, making your stumble back in the process.

Yet, even still, you grit your teeth and tried to bare through it. Then, in typical bully fashion, things started to escalate. They’d corner you in the secluded spaces in the buildings, the areas where the camera’s had blind spots, alleys where people didn’t check, or just behind the building. They’d push and shove at you, kick you down and of course, pull at your hair and scratch at your skin.

People like them made you sick. They were ruthless, and even if they had their own problems in their lives like it’s always told to people by when their in middle school, it gives them no reason to hurt other people. There are plenty of ways to take out frustration, and on that checklist of healthy or humane ideas, the option of dicking around and beating on another person wasn’t on it.

It only made it worse when you overheard a conversation of these particular girls talking about, and fawning over, Monsta X. You knew every member loved and adored all Monbebe’s and it broke your heart as fellow fan, that they had fan’s who could be this cruel to an innocent girl just trying to further her education.

So, to try and keep your low profile streak going, you’d wear scarves to cover the marks on your neck and chest, longer sleeves and pants. You even got to the point of wanting to be invisible so much you started growing out your hair that now brushed along your shoulders. You’d always preferred shorter hair, but I guess things need to change to stay invisible.

You had just finished relaxing on your break after exams before second semester for school started, and as you sat in your small 2 bedroom house studying for your classes, your phone that rested next to you on your desk buzzed with a phone call. You smiled as you set your pencil down and answered the call.

“Hey Min-”

“Y/N!!!” You pulled the phone away from your ear and winced at his loud voice. “I miss you!!” You rolled your eyes and brought the phone back to your ear.

“Yes, I can tell. You’re much louder than you usually are when you call me.” You hear rushing cars and honking in the background of where he was, along with the voices of his team with him. “It’s loud where you are, where are you?” He chuckled into the phone.

“We’re out walking around. We’re visiting somewhere and it’s a bit noisy.” You nodded.

“Yes, I can tell.”

“Hey, so you said you live alone right? Like in a lil house right?” You rose your brow as you pulled your feet into your chair and pushed your back into the chair and listened to him ask if your address was correct in his memory from when you told him before.

“Yeah, that’s my address still. Why?”

“I’m actually sending you something. It’s a surprise present for you from all of us. I just want to make sure I have your address right.” You rolled your eyes.

“I’ve told you before you don’t need to send me present’s Minhyuk.”

“No, but seriously, you’re gonna like this one.” You breathed out a sigh as you smiled and a sudden knock came at your front door. You looked towards the direction of the entrance of your house and rose your brow. Who would be knocking on your door? You didn’t have a delivery out or anything and Minhyuk’s ‘present’ would take at least a week or two for overseas shipping.

“Hold up Minhyuk, someone’s at my door. I’m going to leave my phone at my desk.”

“Go, go! I’ll wait.” You pictured his smiled as he held his phone to his ear. You set your phone done as you called out to the person on the other side of the door that you’d be there in a moment. You unlocked your door and opened it and you were ready to ask what they wanted, when your voice stuck in your throat and you let out only a small scream.

“You’re present’s here!” Minhyuk stood with his arms out wide to his sides, the rest of MX behind him as he held his phone in one day. You jumped around in place for a moment, trying to get, what you hoped wasn’t a hallucination, out of your head. “Well, you gonna hug me or not woman!” You jumped forward to latch onto your brother’s chest as you almost felt like crying.

Changkyun whined from the back of the group, while the two of you just held each other. You missed him so much and it’s been so long.

“Yah, save some for us Hyung!” Minhyuk looked over his shoulder and stuck out his tongue to the maknae.

“Get your own sister hugs, these are mine!” You laughed as you finally let go of Minhyuk and let them all inside, where you offered everyone else their own hugs. Your small 2 bedroom house just suddenly got 7 new bodies to add into the space. It’ll be something trying to figure out who’s going where, but that’s a hurdle you’ll deal with at a later time.

You ushered the boys into the living room, some sitting on the couch, some on the floor and Minhyuk even went so far as to sit on the top of the coffee table after he cleared a space for his rear. You stood in your doorway, crossing your arms as you adjusted the neck on your turtleneck subconsciously.

“So, what’s with the sudden surprise trip to London?” Minhyuk raised his arms towards you and opened and closed his hands rapidly, silently pleading you to come sit with him. You chuckled at his childish action. “Sit your butt on the floor, and I’ll sit with you.” You’ve never seen him move his body to drop onto the floor so fast. The boys all laughed or rolled their eyes at him as you walked over and sat on his crossed legs. He was a rather clingy brother, but that’s okay.

“To answer your question,” you looked at Shownu who started speaking, as Minhyuk didn’t seem like he was gonna respond, “we have some promotions to do back in Korea, but we were given some time off before that.” You furrowed your brow slightly.

“But, if you have time off, shouldn’t you visit your own families?” You scanned over the faces of each member, all with the same smile on their face.

“Our families are in Korea, you’re not. And you’re family too you know.” Kihyun answered as he motioned to Minhyuk. “Plus, he wanted to hope on a plane ASAP to get here.”

“We’ve all missed you in conclusion.” Jooheon piped up, showing his dimples in his smile. Minhyuk rested his chin on your head as you sighed with a smile.

“Well I’m flattered. How long are you staying?” You directed your question to Minhyuk.

“A week.”

“Hey, that’s not bad for idols.”

“It’s not long enough if you ask me.” He whined as he already started dreading when they would have to leave you, even though he literally just got there.

“Well, since I’ve found myself with a few more roommate for a few days, sleeping arrangements are a thing we need to take care of. I have room for one person to sleep with me in my room and I have an extra room with a pull out couch suitable for 2 more bodies.” You looked at the ceiling as you thought. That’s only 3 out of 7 boys.

“I’ll sleep on the couch if you need me to.” Changkyun had piped up. You nodded at him.

“Works with me.”

“I’m the only one who is allowed to sleep in your room.” Minhyuk had stated from behind you. You had expected this and accepted it without complaint as the others started teasing him or saying they wanted to sleep with you in your room. You had just concluded to digging up some spare blankets and pillow or sleeping bags if you can find some and the rest can fight for floor space.

And like that your week with the 7 boys began.

When you weekend ended and you had to prepare for classes again, Minhyuk had picked up on a hint of dread in your attitude. It wasn’t just when you were getting your things ready. He noticed the dip of emotion when school was even brought up. Something about it made him suspicious of you, like you were hiding something from him. Part of him wanted it to be, at the very least, a secret boyfriend of girlfriend you hadn’t told him about, but the way you acted, the back of his mind wouldn’t let him believe that was the case.

So, when the morning came and you were up early, grabbing your bag to head off to campus, Minhyuk surprised you by waking up with you too.

“What are you doing up so early? Go sleep some more.” He shook his head, keeping a smile on his face.

“Nope. I wanna walk you to school today. Pleaseee!” He put his hands in front of him, dramatizing his pleading further. You rolled your eyes before taking the black cap on your head and slapping it on his.

“If you wear a hat and a mask so that no one can easily recognize you, then you can walk me. But I won’t except any other terms.” He rolled his eyes playfully as he went to find his fabric face mask to pull over his nose, down to hook under his chin and behind his ears.

“Oh come on, it’s not like someone’s gonna just up and recognize me that easily.”

“You don’t know that. You’re probably more popular than you realize, Sunshine.” He flopped down into the bed as you called him that name you’ve call him since you were children and laughed.

“You’re never gonna stop calling me that are you?” You shook your head.

“Nope.” You chuckled at him as he watched you pull at and adjust the neck of, yet another one of, your turtleneck.

“I never knew you liked big sweaters like that before. I would’ve brought some of mine to give to you if I had known.” You let out a nervous chuckle.

“Well, it was a sudden attraction. I just put one on and all of a sudden I had 7 different colors and styles in my closet.” Before he could mention anything further about your wardrobe, and feeling yourself get a little anxious, you grabbed the remaining things you needed before going to the bedroom door. “Hurry up or I’ll leave without you.”

“Aish, wait!” He slapped on his mask, adjusted the hat you put on his head, as it was a bit tight, threw on a pair of jeans and a hoodie was out by the front door to meet you a few minutes later. Since most of his face was covered, and he didn’t want you to leave without him, he didn’t worry about make up.

On the way to school, the two of you chatted about nothing really, him asking questions about the city, or about your classes. When the two of you arrived at the entrance to your campus, you gave him your keys to the house, so he could get back inside, since you locked the door behind the two of you. You even punched in your address in his phone just in case he got lost.

“Does this mean I can pick you up too?” He slyly requested as you rolled your eyes and pointed to the mask and hat.

“If your wearing that, sure.” He jumped as he gave you a quick hug and even a happy kiss on your head. You shook your head at him as he watched you walk off and he turned to return him. Little did the both of you know, a group of 4 pairs of eyes watched you around the corner, giving your keys to an unknown man who seemed a little too affectionate towards you.

The day went by surprisingly well? It was odd for you not to be bothered the entire day by the small group of girls who decided to torment at you daily for fun. You even got to the point of suspicion that maybe they were taking the approach of making you feel jittery and paranoid as a new form of torture. If they were, it was definitely working, of course you’d never show your paranoia. But your mind was in turmoil.

But everything came around when that final bell rang. You stood outside the building doors, heading towards the entrance and ringing Minhyuk to tell him you classes had ended for the day. It had just started to ring when your shoulder was tugged from behind you and you were turned to face 4, rather annoyed and furious faces of 4 rather ungrateful girls.

“You thought you were going to get a break? Not likely.” The girl who grabbed your shoulder sneered at you as she grabbed onto the fabric of your sweater, wrapping her fingers around it and dragging you around the perimeter of the building. You grunted and pulled back in protest, digging your heels into the ground and gritting your teeth.

“Of all days you finally choose to stop being a pushover, you choose today to fight back? Some being stubborn and get over here!” She sneered at you as she eventually got you to the back of the school building and pushed you to the wall. It was then that the shouting, name calling and hitting and kicking started. You’d pushed at them, fighting back more now. You’d push at their shoulders, pull at their hair since they were the sensitive girls about their scalp, you even went and kicked at their stomachs to get them to back off.

All while, none of you 5 were aware of the phone on the ground beside you that had an active line. Minhyuk who picked up your call, hear everything and was out the door with Hyungwon and Kihyun behind him.

When they got to the school, they didn’t see you in the entrance or when they asked a few students, they either didn’t know who you were or didn’t see you. They all had their faces covered, as their running around would bring enough attention enough. When Hyungwon suggested the back of the building, the three men were all running to the location.

When they rounded a corner, they all froze for a moment and watched the scene in front of them. They listened as they called you slurs for giving your keys to a strange man, accusing you of ‘whoring yourself up to the nearest guy’, and their mind reeled when you fought back at them.

Angry tears stung your eyes as you had a split lip and bruises forming on your arms and cheeks. Your sweater had been so disheveled that your previous, healing bruises and scrapes were visible. Minhyuk finally moved and ran towards the group of the 5 of you when a girl dug both of her hands into your hair and started yanking you around by your strands.

He grabbed the wrists of the girls and unlatched them from you as Hyungwon and Kihyun stood on either side of you, Minhyuk in front of you. You had slumped against the wall, sliding to the ground, your hair obscuring your view, but you could see legs in front of you as well as three shadows drowning your form.

“What are you doing to her?!” You wanted to cry as you realized that it was Minhyuk who came and pulled the girl away from you. Of all the ways to find out about this, it had to be this stupid fight. Hyungwon and Kihyun stood silent as they glanced between Minhyuk and you, watching the rage in his eyes and his curled fists.

Minhyuk’s angry boiled higher when he saw that the lanyard of one of the girls keys was hanging out of her pocket, and decorated with Monsta X. Were they serious? His fans, his precious Monbebe’s he cares so much about, were bullying his little sister?! He took a breath before he pulled off the hat you gave him this morning and then dropped one side of his mask to hang on only one of his ears, fully showing who he was.

The girls let out a horrified gasp, all in unison as they looked at each other than to Minhyuk. Their gazes to went to Hyungwon and Kihyun who in turn removed their masks. Minhyuk took a small step forward. He wouldn’t lay a hand on the girls, no matter how angry he was, but he wasn’t about to back down or lower his intimidation levels when his precious little sister was behind him on the ground.

“I’ll ask you again. What are you doing to my sister?!” The girls all suddenly lost all their previous vigor and shriveled up into shy and confused figures. Minhyuk ran his hand of his face as he turned and bent down to you pushing your hair out of your face. His face grow worried as he watched your eyes not look up to him, but remain lowered. “Are you okay?” You remained silent as he ran his thumb over your cheek, brushing some dirt off of you. “Y/N.. please?”

You slowly looked up to your brother as you brought in your bottom lip to bite on it and reached to grab his shirt as you lowered your head again. He could tell from the shaking of your shoulder, you were crying, but more out of frustration than pain. You were mad he found out, you were mad you at yourself for fighting back, and you were mad for dragging not just him, but Hyungwon and Kihyun into this as well.

Kihyun took the initiative as Minhyuk sat with you.

“Just leave.” He looked at the girls dead in the face as they all jumped at his sudden declaration. “If she ever comes back to her house, or even mentions any of you to us again, we won’t just be angry, we’ll be disappointed. It’s despicable when people like you 4 pick on someone who’s done nothing wrong. It’s even more so when those people who attack someone claim to be fans of ours.” Kihyun’s strongest point was his ability to nag and nitpick but you’ve never been more happy that his maternal instincts kicked in here. Just this once, you wouldn’t mind him getting onto, and scolding, someone.

The girls scurried off as Hyungwon helped you stand and lift you onto Minhyuk’s back. Everyone placed their hats and masks back on as you lay on Minhyuk’s back, all the way back to your house. When you arrived, the rest of the boys were at the door, waiting after getting a text from Hyungwon about what happened.

They had dug up all your wraps, bandages, creams, lotions, peroxides, pills, anything they could find that might help patch you up. They took it all and placed it in the kitchen, where Minhyuk then put you in a chair and with little to no convincing, your turtleneck was pulled off your chest and the boys started working.

Along the process of cleaning you up, all of the boys started to joke and push around with each other. Telling stupid jokes, talking in strange voices, acting dramatic and even going to the point of doing aegyo for you just so you would smile again and, of course, it worked. The rest of the day was spent with you in shorts and a hoodie Wonho lent you, since you preferred his, and the boys pampering you.

They’d help you clean up, or make you take a break. Kihyun even took over cooking for the night, with the help of Changkyun. They didn’t want to talk about what happened, at least not before Minhyuk did. He was your brother, your family, they wanted to wait until the closest two people in the small house talked it out first before they did.

So that night, when you and Minhyuk sat in bed, the others sleeping in other rooms, he and you talked it out. You explained how it had happened when you first started university and how it wasn’t anything but harmless words. You told him how you didn’t want him to worry about a couple of low life bullies when he was so busy all the time, but he just told you that you were flat out wrong.

He was angry, but more than anything, he just wanted you to be safe again. You explained how your sweaters weren’t just for your growing love for them, but to hide your injuries and bruises. You told him you took care of them to an extent, but would never dwell on them. It was the first time you had fought back so harshly today, and it was because they were indirectly bringing him into the situation.

“When they started bad mouthing you, I dunno, I just lost my temper.” He pulled you to put your shoulder against his as the two of you lay on the bed and stared at the ceiling. He sighed as the two of you have been talking for a while and he understood the situation better, so he had the time to cool down.

“I know. I’m glad you finally fought back, they should stop messing with you now.” You nodded at him. “I’m still upset though. How can I go back to Korea when I know there’s still a chance you’ll be picked on again?” You shook your head.

“I’ll be sure to tell you if I’m ever a victim again. I promise.”

“Yeah? Well if you are, you bet I’m gonna be taking time off to fly up here and put more people in their place.” You snickered.

“You gonna bring back up with you then too?” You huffed as you mentioned Hyungwon and Kihyun with him today, acting like 2 bodyguards.

“Hey, they had planned to come with me anyways.” It was silent for a bit before he proposed to finally getting to sleep, as much as he didn’t want you to go, you still had classes tomorrow. You couldn’t afford to miss them. “Do you really promise?” You nodded sleepily to him as you were half asleep.

“I promise, Sunshine.” He stuck out his pinky you to as you smiled and linked you pinky with his.

“Pinky promise.” The two of you muttered together as the two of you fell asleep that night with your pinkies linked and the promise of a protective big brother. You’d get better, and so would he. From that day, no had dared to pick at you again, and your secret of being Minhyuk’s little sister, successfully stayed a secret.

And as promised, you always told him everything from then on.

I would love a subunit of the maknae line or Yoongi, Tae, and Jungkook.

47) Do you prefer Hip-Hop BTS or the more Pop-ish BTS?

I really love both, but I’ve been loving their newer stuff a lot. I like that they are always trying new things.

I would love to see a “men in suits” sort of concept like Super Junior in Black Suit.

I don’t know much about the company, but from what I can tell, they seem to give the boys a lot of freedom in their music and their performances. I also like they did the Bon Voyage trips because it gave the boys a break and let them relax and have fun!

so for those of y’all who read my sf9 intro post, i’m sorry bc this is prob gonna be a lot longer I”M SORRY how can you guys ask me to do this for my faves

vixx (synonymous with “concept kings”) stands for “visual, voice, value in excelsis,” which is meant to say that vixx has the best vocals/visuals and all that but after 5 years many people think that the “v” in vixx also stands for violence oops. before debut, they were in a survival show called mydol with a few other trainees. under jellyfish entertainment, vixx debuted may 24, 2012 with the song superhero. since then, vixx have been known as concept-dols because of the way they incorporate themes into their teasers, outfits, mv and go way beyond in terms of expressing these particular concepts.

one thing you have to know about vixx is that they’re relatively popular but somewhat overlooked because they create music and concepts that they are interested in, which don’t necessarily overlap with what the majority of the kpop consumer body wants to see or hear. but they don’t care. they are happy making music and are grateful for all of their fans, no matter how small or big their fanbase is.

South Korea Trip 2k16; Day 2 (Seoul)

Hey!

Congrats, you made it to day 2! (LONG OVERDUE SORZ ITS THE 4TH WEEK OF MY SUMMER SEM IM DYING) (update: nah didnt finish it on my 4th week.... i finished this during my sem break... heh)

Instead of visiting historical places there’s one thing I’ve been wanting way before we arrived in Seoul..... Visit K-pop entertainment companies/buildings.

Yes. I’m actually a K-pop fan, probably one of the main reasons why we went there for a holiday djskhdjkhkdhsajkdkhsda. I told my parents that I at least need a day where I can visit as many companies as I can since one day is not enough tbh. My parents agreed that my bro can follow me to while hunting down these buildings while both my mom and dad went to visit other places around Seoul.

I initially wanted to wake up a lil early but as usual, we suck at waking up early so we were kind of behind schedule. We got ready asap and then had breakfast at the Italian restaurant in our hotel called 3 Birds. I would recommend this restaurant but I won’t because of their RUDE staff. They looked like they were forced to be there y’know? They also take away food tooooo quick right on the dot when the buffet is over.... When there are still people picking out food. I get that it’s over but it would be rude to take away all the food while someone’s still picking out their food? No?

Ok after we’re done with breakfast both of us separate. We bought our T-Money card to use for the subway stations a day before so we just went to one of the nearest stations and went to the first place on our list. Before we arrived at our first destination, we stopped by stations halfway to find advertisements of one of my favorite idols. I’m a huge fan of a group called BTS especially one of the vocalists, named Taehyung, stage name V (let’s just call him Taehyung plox). It was his birthday month so many of his fans (or just fansites) put up advertisements for his birthday at selected subway stations around Seoul. We found like 2 that day and wow I didn’t imagine myself seeing it with my own eyes instead of being behind the screen. I’ve always seen pics of Korean fans posting pics of them posing for the ads. It’s just surreal I’m there y’know,,,,, as a fan. As you can see in the photos, I was REALLY happy.

So after the mini photo shoot, we continued on to our first destination. The first destination is actually, Big Hit Entertainment, aka BTS’ company. I felt that I should visit the office at least once in my life since I’m a huge fan. I have realized that many fans are confused on where the hell is the building because it’s very low-key not like YG or SM so to those who need help, I can help y’all with this. However, it’s not very detailed and apparently, Big Hit already moved to a bigger office at Apgugeong??? If I’m not mistaken? But if you’re curious then:

The nearest metro station to the building was Line 3 Sinsa Station so that’s where we stopped.

1. You walk out of Exit 1 of Sinsa station and just walk straight and take a right after 5 blocks. There should be blocks of buildings on your right anyway with small roads going on a small hill.

2. Take the 2nd street on your left and on the 3rd block, you should be able to see Big Hit on your right.

3. If you’re lost with all these instructions (LIKE I WAS PREVIOUSLY) Google Maps does wonders. I also used Waze but it is based on you using a car. So stick with Google Maps since you’re walking and search ‘Big Hit Entertainment’. Some of the locations they give MIGHT be false so prepare yourself for that.

*It might look lowkey scary going on your own so pls bring someone with you.

Tbh, we almost got lost a few times but eventually, we found our way. We walked a few places and later we found it. Shout out to Google Maps for saving our asses. I’m amazed how we didn’t need to ask anyone to find our way. Bles technology!

OH STORY TIME: I coincidentally bumped into BTS’ manager right in front of us when we were finding Big Hit.

Yep, that’s right. He’s probably the reason why I could find Big Hit because he was heading that way dsjgdkhjsagydsgkdskks. When we were almost got to Big Hit there was a man with takeaway coffee on his hand. It was still the morning btw so I thought oh some random man going to work. But, I had a good look on his face and I freaked out. Once I saw his face my face just went blank because I recognize his face from somewhere and I straight away knew he was the manager. As an avid fan, I’ve seen HQs & press photos of BTS with their manager so I’m used to seeing his face time to time. So once I saw his face, I almost froze and stopped my bro. My bro was confused and later I explained to him quietly who he was. I kinda took a pic lmao:

So the smartest thing I’ve done after that is to go the other way, completely going to the opposite direction of Big Hit. I didn’t want to make him think of us as some international stalkers or sasaengs. Later when I thought it felt safe, we went to the direction where he went which leads to Big Hit. Surprise surprise, he was gone. He probably went in already so...

ANYWAYS, as typical tourists we took photos.

What makes it more interesting, some Big Hit staff told us to go away when we didn’t even go in the building or anything.... We just taking photos.... But at the same time... I highkey feel like someone was inside... Possibly BTS? Whatever it is, wow.... I got shooed away by Big Hit staff LMAO.

Moving on, we went back to the train station and arrived at Samseong Station to visit SMTOWN! I feel that almost every kpop fan goes there when they visit Seoul lmao. Wow, I was shocked at how I was actually there and not from photos. Saw cool standees from Baekhyun (exo bias HI), Krystal, and lots more! I too took one of the photo booth photos!!!! leeet

One thing most stans go for is basically.... THE MERCH. I mean other than going for the live concert thingies (which I didn’t bother to go), official merchandise is the best next thing... So obviously if anyone wants to get their fave SM artists’ merch, going to SMTOWN itself is fine, more specifically, their albums. Their albums are reasonably priced so you don’t have to buy it outside in my opinion. Their official merchandise from posters, photobooks, phone cases, even the food are one of a kind. I feel if going to SMTOWN, and you’re an avid fan of EXO, Red Velvet or any other SM artist, just buy them.

After looking around, we found a halal Indian restaurant called Luna Asia. Ngl, the food was alright. For Muslims, y’all could go for this!

We then took Samseong station again and arrived at Apgujeongrodeo station to go to The Mins! Some might not know, but this cafe is famous for treating some kpop idols, including BTS! (don’t @ me let me live i am an avid fan) So we took exit () and walked all the way down. The Mins was inside so you have to get into the neighborhood to find it. (Better descriptions are in the link I added @ The Mins)

The place was really cute from the outside and inside. OH, I forgot to mention, 2AM’s Changmin owns this cafe! Pretty legit. I also think I might’ve met his parents there too, because I heard that his parents do work there. I only noticed that once I got out of the cafe.... rip.

ANYWAYS, I ordered the Four Berry drink..... aka what BTS usually orders (yes shut up). It was really good anyway.

In the plus side, cool stuff on their walls! BTS posters, and signed albums from many other celebs like SISTAR, Gfriend and lots more! (you can also get to sit where BTS have sat before hehehehhehehe)

Later, we went to K-Star Road to visit all the big figures??? dolls??? idk what to call them. But yeah, we went and obviously had to find BTS’ one.

We were tired af and basically done all we wanted to do (except visiting JYP or YG Entertainment :(((() so we went back to our hotel.

After a few hours of rest in the hotel, we still had energy so we thought of not wasting time by going N Seoul Tower by using the Namsan Cable Car. It was a nice view from the hill but I feel it would be better during daylight?? Since it was winter I think it’ll look prettier during daylight. SORZ FOR NO PHOTO I WAS HALF DEAD THAT NIGHT KSKFKSHFJKSF

Anyways, we found this halal restaurant at this close knit neighborhood in Seoul called Yang Good (Yangguk) and boy...... they had GR8 meat. 11/10 recommended.
