What star trek alien do you feel you would be?
hi ! fun question. i've never thought about this. my first thought was trill, but specifically as they're presented in tng/the beginning of ds9 (before they figured out what to do with jadzia) when they were still a relatively unknown species within the federation. the scene in emissary as she steps out of the shuttlepod and looks down the bridge of her nose at the world. the sense that she's outwardly very placid but there's an undercurrent of intensity running just below the surface--making the outwardly still water treacherous to swim in. being observant over extensive ages.

I just wanna gush bc omg I love the 666 series so much. I think it made me realize I might be... furry-ish? adjacent? I just find it so satisfying how you go into detail about the unique body features of both of them, the way it feels to have deer ears or kiss a TV and just generally how much thought is put into the way their bodies work, and I've realized that my interest in that kind of idea is a pretty good reason to partake in more explicitly furry media lmao. Anyways
I'm also really in love with how you maintain the balance of each of their personality traits. Vox is simultaneously so pathetic and cringefail (also your dialogue for him is perfect, I can hear it crystal clear in my head) but also he has vastly more emotional intelligence than Alastor, no doubt at least in part because he has to deal with Val, and he's able to marginally calm down with his obsession to deal with sticky situations, but even then he still retains his personality and bumbles things sometimes because of the flaws in said personality! It's great. I also really appreciate the balance you've struck with Alastor, I feel like often Alastor is either written to either soften up so immediately that it feels disconnected from his character or is written overly mean and heartless for my liking and the way you've written him is such a delicious balance between softer aspects such as the prey instincts or moments of vulnerability and his untouchable and manipulative self, and also the way this side of him is neither written as wholly a front or wholly his real nature and the complex ways this makes him struggle with his increasing vulnerability. TL;DR arghgr your characterization is so good it makes me go a little feral
Also while I'm here, I'm curious whether you can give an answer to the degree to which Alastor is touch-averse. There's obviously a lot of ways in which he fundamentally dislikes touch but it also seems like there's at least some kinds of touch where he doesn't dislike the touch itself so much as he's afraid of the way it brings about feelings of caring and/or enjoyment being cared for. I'm curious how much, in general, you would say his touch aversion comes from either cause and possibly what kinds of touch do/don't provoke those flavors of aversion
Omg, what a lovely ask to receive. Honestly, everything you said that you enjoy about how I characterize these two is very much what I've been actively gunning for, so it's an absolute delight to see it outlined back to me. Success!!! Thank you so much!
And ahaha - I'm not a furry but I fucking love inhuman characters. Being raised in the pits of Homestuck fantroll RP made me enjoy the whole "they're bug/fish aliens" thing and it definitely rears its head again any time I encounter characters with inhuman qualities. I love writing Vox's TV/computer-ness and Alastor's deer and radio bits, and integrating them into who they now are as people.
As for Alastor's touch-aversion: It's funny that you ask about this, because the next chapter of 666 is going to dive into it a bit. Specifically into the fact that it's not, like, a set of boundaries that is consistently defined, and I write him that way on purpose. The very first time he and Vox sleep together, Alastor bottoms. He becomes significantly less amenable to touch after he goes through an uncomfortable rut cycle that gets sexual. By the time Vox convinces Alastor to fuck him, Alastor would never let Vox do that again and frankly only agrees to topping because Vox gave him an option that didn't involve getting his dick out. Then in the next episode, they're having clothes-off sexual contact. So, what gives?
Things that play into Alastor's willingness to touch and be touched as far as Vox is concerned:
How does he see Vox at that point in time? Disgustingly entitled (ew)? Hilariously beneath him (haha who cares)?
Does he care about what Vox thinks of him? Does Vox touching him draw his attention to positive or negative assumptions he has about Vox's perspective on doing so?
What value has he attached to this particular touch in the power balance of their relationship? Is he humoring Vox? Does he assume Vox thinks he's owed this? Does he perceive it as something Vox is genuinely doing for him?
Has he tried this particular kind of touch before? He's pretty willing to experiment, but that doesn't mean he'll do something twice without a compelling reason if he didn't like it the first time.
Is he getting off on this situation sexually? If so, is it fully willing (read: not a byproduct of uncomfortable hormones) on his part? That only really happens when he's in a submissive role and Vox is hitting a few very specific kinks, a major one of which is basically CNC tilted 30 degrees to the left.
Is he enjoying the touch in platonic ways? How does he feel about that? Is it a vulnerability to want something? Is it feeding his ego to be catered to? Is he worried that what he enjoys platonically is being read into in ways he doesn't like?
Is he fucking drunk? Things that bother you when sober often seem like a non-issue when you're not, both on a physical and emotional level.
How much touching has been happening recently? Has he hit his limit? Did he deliberately put himself into a situation earlier to have his limit be hit and surpassed, and now he's in the aftermath?
He does have a certain fundamental purely physical dislike of touch, but it's something that is really affected by how he perceives each individual situation as well as his relationship with Vox at that time, and his previous experiences!

Re: your post about JohnandPaul. If you do wish to share them, I'd love to know your headcanons about John and Paul's feelings for each other. ( I do get your discomfort about sharing though and yeah, I also miss the long discussions and metas from back when Get Back came out. It feels like, except you and some others, most of my favorite blogs have moved on from the fandom)
I've been sitting on this ask for several days now.
First of all I hear you, re:blogs moving on. It's understandable, but it's also sad when my brain does not want to give this stuff up any time soon lol.
In my post I talked about having specific headcanons about their feelings for each other, but the truth is, it's more like I imagine hundreds of very specific somewhat plausible scenarios, while not actually fully buying into any of them.
I always struggle with how sure people are of some definite timeline of McLennon because I just don't see how it's in any way clear: the most compelling evidence that at least John had Those Feelings™ for Paul is stuff he said after the fact (compiled with the stronger case for John being attracted to men in general) – so, if I choose to interpret his words in that way, I'm still not very close to knowing when he developed this attraction. Let alone concluding anything substantial about Paul's feelings.
(And no, I really don't find the two of them saying the other looked good when they met particularly compelling. Appearance plays a huge role in first impressions, regardless of attraction.)
So I guess, it's more that I have open questions I return to again and again, for which I try to construct hypothetical answers that make sense to me. Aside from that bigger timeline question, here's a few more specific ones:
From what I've gathered researching the topic, listening to psychonauts speak about their trips, the acid mindset very much romanticizes all forms of human connection (among other things). I think that's probably what was going on during those "I know."–"I know." sessions John and Paul had on LSD. With that in mind, how might that have mixed in with John trying to understand how he felt about Paul? Could it have confused him? Opened him up to the idea? "Appeased" him for a while? (and again, the answer here would depend on the timeline of feelings in the end)
I still lean towards "Paul is not meaningfully attracted to men" (or at least "Paul valued other aspects of his relationship with John much more than physical attraction") – with that in mind I do kind of ask myself what Paul thought his relationship with John was exactly. Like, I don't pretend it was a standard, run-of-the-mill friendship, so I wonder a lot what his end-goal was, how he saw both of them continuing into later stages of life. The way he talks about the breakup, equating John choosing Yoko with John leaving Paul, speaks to something somewhat true about most couples that marry – but why did he not anticipate that before? What was different? Also, for $20 don't copout with "hurr hurr cause Cyn didn't matter"
Paul's various takes on The John Question continue to puzzle me. On the one hand, it sort of seems to me like Paul would have had enough context clues at the time to get that John was attracted to men, because some of our evidence for it is evidence he would have had access to – he also indicated at least once that John was in fact kind of openly bicurious??? (note: that rant keeps me up at night. Could write a whole thesis on it and also it's so fucking funny) On the other, Paul is pretty insistent that the rumours are Not True and he's not actually the only person to shoot them down like that. (May Pang, Julia Baird, Tony Bramwell, Hunter Davies off the top of my head) It shouldn't be a stretch of the imagination that a man born in the 1940s might have trouble rearranging the image he's made of his dead best friend so drastically (or in a way that might feel drastic to him). So what is it? Is Paul obfuscating the question to protect John's reputation/because he thinks the curiosity is in poor taste or does he genuinely not buy into it? I'm not actually sure whether he's weighed in on this since Yoko's "John Was BI!!!!" reveal. Has this stance developed over the years? And if I assume Paul does know about John's sexuality: does he in fact think John had feelings for him? I do think this is a thing he would never talk about if he did so it feels like there would be no way of knowing either way. But it also makes me wonder about the barriers he might have set up in his head to avoid that very question – because the truth is that if John had Those Feelings™ for Paul and Paul never knew, that's sort of the second-worst case scenario from Paul's perspective, right after John having never liked him in the first place.
AND THEN THERE'S JOHN. Because just because Paul may not have picked up on it, doesn't mean John wasn't putting anything down. But he could also very much have been sending mixed signals from his own end, right? And again, acid mindset + mid 60s Free Love shit: in that culture, how much could John making advances be perhaps taken as Flowery Friendship? Did he justify it to himself that way? Or was John actually violently shoving all of that down? Was he truly capable of that?
It really never ends – I'm not certain of ANYTHING, but give me a proposal (ie. "In My Life is about Paul") and I'll talk myself into circles exploring the ins and outs of that hypothetical.

[First, I was rereading "Agua Caliente" and I remembered a song that played a lot in my childhood (and I had kind of forgotten) bc the lyrics somehow matched the Patrochilles dynamic in this fic. This is kind of funny bc I would never in my life associate sertanejo (it's a type of country music, I think? Idk I've never heard country, but the aesthetic is kind of similar. Anyway, it's pretty popular here) with shipping an ancient Greek couple in modern AU, but ok. And I went to listen to this song again and now I'm listening to it on a loop, so thanks for that.]
Now the real question! It's perhaps a strange question, but do you plan what you write? Like, before you write, do you have the whole structured idea in mind? I could have sworn it was like that reading the fics, but then some notes on Ao3 and certain things you say on Tumblr started to make me reflect that maybe you don't plan as much as I thought… in that case, how do you manage to connect everything so well without looking like something was left out/without prior planning??? It's magic, technique, luck or actually do you plan?
Sorry if the question is a bit "???" but I'm REALLY thinking about this! I used to write fics years ago and I was in the "won't plan" group and as expected the fics came out obviously unplanned (but that was ok with me bc it was just to pass the time and I didn't expect it to be an engaging story or anything), and here's why this ask exists: it's precisely bc I was in the “won't plan” group that I'm really intrigued by the possibility of you NOT planning bc it just doesn't seem that way reading your fics...
The short answer is that I do plan what I write, but probably not enough.
I rarely start writing a fic with an entire idea. Often it's just a vibe. But I won't start posting a fic until I know exactly what the conflict is and how it will be resolved.
This was easy in ATG, for example, because I'd already written the resolution before I even decided to write the fic. Structuring it by Patroclus's age also helped, because I could make an outline with the stuff that needed to happen and then jam stuff I wanted to happen around it. That "Stuff" could be really specific--obviously Pat had to graduate school and Achilles had to go to the Olympics on specific years, and it was also like, this section should have them fighting. This section should have them getting along, but Achilles is hiding this big lie so there should be a weird tension.
In Sunset, it took me longer to figure out the conflict/resolution. Sure, I knew that Achilles was going to cry on a Chicago street corner and get naked in Pat's kitchen, but why was he there? How did he get there? I had already written Achilles settling in to Pat's place and the scene where he gets into the lake before I decided on Aphrodite being the key to explain this whole thing. Then I knew Pat had to die. But a lot of the stuff that happened in the middle was sort of on a whim (particularly Achilles getting on the wrong L train-that was definitely just an impulse I had while finishing that chapter). Tecmessa's chapter was also a later addition, and a deeply self-indulgent one, hah.
Agua was the least planned of these three, and in some ways it was because the idea was a lot simpler. After three years, Achilles runs into Patroclus again and they reconcile in some way. I knew exactly how Patroclus would feel about the whole thing (relieved, guilty, upset, wounded, hopeful, upset about feeling hopeful). My original plan was just to set up Achilles in his shop and his new life doing his best and have him run into Patroclus at the beach, and eventually they'd go to the desert. I wrote parts of their meeting first, and then I started writing the beginning and ended up scrapping most of that. I realized I was going to have to do a lot more writing for poor Achilles. My lack of planning here did cause some difficulties--I had like three versions of that date he went on with Pat with different endings. One involved Pat in the hospital, lmao. Zag and Meg coming to stay with Achilles were kind of whims, and I had meant to have Hypnos show up for "his turn" and have Achilles send him home because no, these were not team-building exercises, but then I forgot 😩.
The reason that I need to know the conflict/resolution at the start is because I do think all the scenes in a fic should relate to it in some way, either by building up the conflict or setting the groundwork for a resolution. Even for the impulsive scenes I add just for fun, I think about how they can do this. For example, Achilles getting lost on the L allowed me to build up Pat's unreasonable anxiety, show that Ajax was also feeling it to some extent, and end in Pat saying "fuck it" and just giving in to making out with his hot, ancient boyfriend. It was also something that happened to a friend who was visiting me from out of the country and didn't have a working cell phone. That moment of watching him through the window of the L as it slowly pulled away is just etched in my memory.
In Agua Caliente, almost anything could relate to the resolution, because the resolution was "Achilles having a life," thus it didn't require as much planning. Zagreus's apartment getting flooded (something that happened to me in grad school) showed Achilles attempting to be flexible with some success while allowing himself to become closer to Zagreus, which led to a point of connection with his kids. It also made it easier to explain why Achilles was doing Zag's delivery that day when he ran into Pat. There were only a couple things that truly needed to happen in AC for the fic to make sense, and that was a resolution with Achilles' kids and then with Patroclus, of course.
I do get loose threads sometimes, side conflicts or things that didn't end up going anywhere, and those things tend to annoy me until I figure out a way to resolve them or make them otherwise relevant. Or I don't. Or sometimes I realize I need to add something/someone into the fic, and it would have been smoother if I'd added it in an earlier chapter so it didn't seem like a convenient thing I'd just thought of to solve a problem. That's always annoying to me. But whatever. It's fanfic. That's the risk of posting while you write.

Can I vent one thing? I kind hate the hipocrisy of some (a big number here) fans on regards Izu and Endeavour.
Like it goes more or less like this:
Fans:😒look at Izu defending Endeavour even through Dabi told how abusive he is.
Me: what you want Izu to do punch Endeavour and praise Dabi? A fucking villain who killed and has no remorse?
The hipocrisy here is how they blame Izu for "siding with an abuser" but Shot befriend BK is cute.
Following that logic, they should hate Shoto too as he is Bk's friends...somehow. BK for all his many flaws, I say this, he is honest in his hate for Izu. Never tried to mask.
As for the other ask I sent and yoy answer. Look, Hori just hates Izu and at this point is just easier to say he is a bad writer (feels lazy but I swear this is the easiest and real explanation here) we dont know why Izu wants to be a hero or anything about his family. His complex of martyr makes no sense (does AM have the same thing? It also makes no sense ....bc we know 0 about AM)
There is so much cognitive dissonance baked into Bakugou and how much people love him, there really is; he hits Izuku and there are Bakugou fans that basiclly say Izuku should thank him for the privilege.
Relatedly, a lot of people apparently find him attractive which... I don't get. But hot people do get away with a lot more than unattractive people, so I could see some unconscious biases on the fact that they think he looks hot, and is therefore more tolerable than if he looked like Mineta but acted like he does in canon.
To be fair, a lot of it is ultimately on Hori himself and the writing; no matter how bad I find his character arc at times, Endeavour's abuse and behaviour was never treated like a joke. Brushed over, sure, but it was never funny. Meanwhile, we passed a point in the story, long before Endeavour's redemption kicked in, and suddenly every abusive thing that Bakugou had been doing, bad things which were Serious Problems he was supposed to deal with, was nothing but a joke, even while Endeavour was still on and off being given shit for being an abuser; it's annoying, but I don't find it surprising people don't take Bakugou's behavior seriously if the story itself doesn't.
Meanwhile, while people's interest in Izuku has died to some extent because of how bad his writing got, I've seen people saying (and I'm not completely disagreeing with them) that Dabi has been carrying a lot of Post War, with all the focus on him and his tragic backstory being something that's actually interesting, and how much character he's allowed to have compared to everyone else, which, ironically enough, is probably enough to make him a more sympathetic victim to a lot of people over Izuku, who isn't even allowed to think about his past abuse with how much his traumatic backstory is being suppressed by the writing.
Granted, it feels like a lot of that was altered to make Endeavour (and Dabi) more tolerable to the readers, and while Dabi is supposed to be a villain with sympathetic origins, some people forget he's very much an unsympathetic person at this point, by his own design, and that would probably be insulted by some of the nicer takes on him.
Ultimately, what Endeavour did was worse than Bakugou, yeah, and I see people say that for why Bakugou is more defensible, but it's not a matter of degree; Endeavour doing shitty things doesn't excuse Bakugou doing shitty things, though there's also the fact that abusive fathers are more universally loathed than bullies, especially with all the extra stuff going on with Bakugou to try and mitigate him.
On the other thing....
Izuku is easy. Izuku wants to be a hero because: societal brainwashing about the heroic system as a whole making the system popular to the people, wanting to help people, and wanting acceptance from others. Being a hero, for him, is wrapped up with all three of those causes.
On All Might... Well. It's been awhile, but back when All Might was allowed to be a character, it was pointed out multiple times that Izuku is, in fact, exactly like All Might (seriously, if we look at what we know about Young! All Might, and it sounds like he's basically taller, more muscular, and to some degree more confident Izuku from the start of the story. He's basiclly Izuku if Izuku never had Bakugou in his life, constantly knocking him down, and maybe had an extra foot or two in height), and while Izuku liked being like his idol, everyone else in the know was worried because All Might went exactly down this road Izuku's going down.
That is to say, All Might is now a lonely old man, scarred and broken, without a life of his own, and the fact he's still alive means this is the good ending for him, compared to him getting himself killed.
(looks at the newer manga chapters meaningfully)
The Izuku and All Might self-destruction parallels is something that came up within the first couple of chapters; it was a very deliberate choice, and it seemed clear, at some point, that All Might was supposed to help Izuku be better than him, temper his natural martyr tendencies, and not get himself killed or horribly maimed, a process that would help the both of them grow past these tendencies.
And yes, we know little about All Might, but after a certain point his development stopped and... in all honesty, as much as Hori seems to hate Izuku, he seems to hate All Might just as much, if not more (or at least All Might isn't mandated to be strong and victorious, anyways, in ways that give Izuku some protections). All Might took this scrawny little boy to the beach and over the course of a summer bulked him up to the point where he could host OFA; he's not this horribly incompetent person that the later parts of the story seem to want us to see him as.
And yet, the more he's developed the more Hori just adds flaw upon flaw to the poor man, starting with being completely incapable of helping Izuku in pretty much any way all of a sudden ('clench your butt' my ass) and turning more and more pathetic over time as his powers waned, and he never got to grow as a character to filled the void in his characterization.
Presumably, mixed with the part where he was meant to teach Izuku... literally anything, All Might's backstory (beyond being basiclly tall Izuku, anyways) was probably going to be organically expanded on over time as their mentor and mentee based relationship developed, but that never happened, and so we have a character whose defining traits are largely having super powers, who no longer has those super powers.

L and Matsuda for 002?
-🎲
THANK YOU 🎲 ANON!!
How I feel about L: hhhhh sigh. hhh. sighhhshhshsiigggh. honestly? he's kind of like my favourite jumper. he's my number one comfort character ever and I came very close to crying in bed for days after he died. i am not 'typical about this man.
How I feel about Matsuda: he's such a cutie!! teehee!!! look at this silly fella who probably cuts his own hair!! giggling and kicking my feet cause he's funny and silly and would be a good friend doncha think?
All the people I ship romantically with L: Matsuda, Misa, Rie, other people's OCs (if they're shipped with him by their creator xD). Light deserves a mention because while I don't ship LawLight romantically I do think they're an iteration of the "red thread" trope because no matter what time, no matter what place, they'll write history together with a pen filled with their own blood in place of ink. that said I was genuinely surprised that so many people ship them just because I don't see it at all. I don't hate it, there's just nothing that clicks for me when looking at L and Light.
All the people I ship romantically with Matsuda: mostly just L, I've seen Matsu + Misa stuff but I think they'd be cuter friends.
My non-romantic OTP for L: Light 100%. You can't have one without the other. I can't explain all my thoughts about them without a whole post dedicated to it, but anyway, Light is my answer.
My non-romantic OTP for Matsuda: mentioned it above, Misa! They're two sillies and they're both :3 so they're besties and they've probably got matching friendship bracelets.
My unpopular opinion about L: he does eat normal food on a semi-regular basis. specifically, meat, usually I think steak. I hc him as anemic but also Watari wouldn't let L die or become malnourished and there's important things in food that you can't necessarily get in vitamins or tablets. and actually, as someone with anemia, I think L would actually have really strong cravings for rare or medium rare red meat when his iron is low and thus when he eats it he enjoys it.
My unpopular opinion about Matsuda: He's actually really smart, especially with humanities subjects. Just doesn't have great detective skills. A different career path may have been beneficial but he actually really believes in justice, probably more so than L and Light, and he actually QUESTIONS his own sense of justice which leads to more balance. he's such a great guy.
One thing I wish had happened with L in canon: he survived. and actually, I'd just really like to see him solve lots of cases. idk how many/if any he solved outside the anime but you know. a side series where he solves cases and explores the world and has tea parties with Watari would melt my heart.
One thing I wish had happened with Matsuda in canon: honestly I just wish we got to see more of him in general. I wish we got deeper into his character - into everyone's character, actually, they're all a little 2D and it's not just the animation - but yeah. more Matsu. how he works.
My L OTP: I'm not sure if I can pick one HAHAHHS I love all his relationships (well, my headcanons for them) from platonic to father and son to mentor and mentee to enemies together to lovers. yeah. I just like L LMAO but maybe Matsu. hm idk. I hear some people ship him with BB or Naomi and I wanna look into that.
My Matsuda OTP: lowkey L and Matsuda are one of my favourite ships. in Matsu's case I don't really ship him with anyone else so this is the only answer. some of you might have noticed that in my headcanons Matsuda plays Pokémon Go! and L is a Pokémon fan too... hmm... Also I like them cause they're both childish: like yeah L is always calling Matsuda stupid but does he call any other task force members stupid, even when they deserve it? no. arrogant child and silly child. even in non ship situations I think they're actually on similar wavelengths in a way.
My crossover ship for L: (platonic) Saiki K. you can't tell me they wouldn't be best friends come onnnn smnsndndm hehe
My crossover ship for Matsuda: I dunno actually...
A headcanon for L: if he has to wear shoes, he has to wear blue socks. not dark blue or navy, LIGHT, SATURATED BLUE. it's like neon ahhaha. there's little yellow flowers at the hem bits but his jeans cover them.
A headcanon for Matsuda: he doesn't like chips because they're too crunchy. he likes chips though. curly chips. YES I CALL BOTH TYPES CHIPS AND IT MAKES IT HARD TO DISCERN OVER TEXT SHSGYAYDH SORRY

Don't you think it's funny cause actual canon gay characters in BL manga/manhwa will say "I love you" but only the shounen bromance can spew out some of the most romantic shit akin to a 19th century poet writing a letter expressing his surpressed love for his lover 😭.....
It is funny though there are some full on yaoi that have been the most heart wrenching thing I have ever read
BL has such a broad range and I don't think most people know that
A lot of people hear of or are only exposed to one kind of BL and think that represents the whole genre
I'm guilty of the same thing tbf but with omegaverse. Because I was talking to a friend and said I didn't enjoy it because it all seemed really violent sexually and if that's all it was I wasn't interested.
Said friend sent me a bunch of fics to read and got me hooked because there is actually so much variation and depth to omegaverse fics as a genre.
But going back to BL or Yaoi there is a lot that's very tropey and ridiculous but also: ones that make my heart bleed because they are so beautiful and tragic, ones that are so sweet and cute I wanna die, ones so genuinely funny I look like a idiot laughing at it, and ones that are healing because they are realistic but hopeful and bright.
But to actually answer the question it is funny that often "bromance" characters can come across as more over the top romantic confessions then actual love confessions in queer media

Okay, before I ask the question, I just want to tell you that your posts are the best, dude. Like, my fucking god, they make me feel so much better after a shitty day, so thank you for existing on here, genuinely. For the question, do you have a ranked top five list for favorite + least favorite Baki characters?
(Though, I think I can already tell who your number one in favorites is, lol ᐠ( ᐛ )ᐟ)
BRO THANK YOU. ACTUALLY POWER TO YOU 💯 I'm glad my stupid goofy writings and posts are able to lighten people's day. Thank you.
Now to answer your question :D I kinda yapped so lemme put it under a cut
My number one? Guess. Guess who my number one is, guys. You'll never be able to get it. It's fine if you need a hint.
Okay, you got me it's Kiyosumi. Sigh. I love him. Sadly. Something about his character, personality and design just have me in a choke hold. He's just so neat. Not to mention how much I just relate to him as a person, it's quite strange, but I see some of myself in him. I don't particularly want to go into deep detail but something about him I really resonate with. He's funny. He will always be my top number one stunnaboy. I'm proud to be his number one fan.
My second favorite has always been Katsumi, he's just a goober. I'm in love with his character arc and his silly attitude and god do I want my face in between those breasts. But in all seriousness he's an amazing character and Itagaki's writing for him is immaculate, just objectively. He's one of the best written characters in the series, along with Retsu. (In my opinion, of course.) His recent blow up in popularity really surprised me, and made me a bit jealous, to be real. I dunno, I feel like people don't truly appreciate his writing, you know? Maybe it's just me.
See, now here's where I start to struggle. A lot of my favorite characters before those two, I can't really rank (I love them too much equally) But I will definitely list them!
I'm really enamored by Kozue, especially lately. One of my favorite types of characters are kind, cute girls who kinda just be silly but have some lowkey depth behind them. It's my absolute favorite. I've always been a fan of anime's/games where girls are just hanging out or having fun with each other, I love it. I'm always thinking about Kozue being in Bang dream or D4DJ, man.
Doyle...sigh. What a mess this guy is, but that's why he's up in my favorites. He gives me gender envy, even though, I'm already a guy. Maybe it's just his ability to rock both or his beauty, I don't know. But his character is absolutely stellar to me. Super interesting to write things for. He's so complex in my mind, he's just a joy to think about.
Doppo is definitely high up there on my list of favorites. He's absolutely hilarious and such a cool character. He's genuinely one of the most badass in the series to me. I love his hidden kindness and love for his kids (karate boys) and pupils. He's just incredible and MAD funny. Love him.
Kosho, this makes sense because he's basically gothic Kiyosumi. I mean not actually, I'm being funny, but you get the idea. They are definitely similar though. He's an incredible character, I love his sassiness and whole demeanor and not to mention his backstory and depth. Love this Vkei guy forever.
Ahh, Retsu, how I love you. His character is probably one of my favorite written in manga. The fact he's somewhat a mediator and very mature, but also immensely immature as well, doing things he knows aren't right to please himself cause he just loves FIGHTING. Ohhh, there's so much depth to him it's incredible. I just love this guy.
If I were to list my other favorites...
Atsushi, Chiharu, Oliva, Shibukawa, Tokugawa, Kureha, Spec, JEEZ do I love the characters in this manga. The list kind of goes on too. I just can't get enough of these guys.
It's very difficult for me to rank my least favorites since I really enjoy all of these characters, but one I really dislike is...Yujiro. Man, does that guy suck. For real. Okay but let me preface this by saying I think his written character is great, it's wonderful. But him, I hate. He's such a backwards piece of garbo. He's honestly one of the character's I think about the least.
Other than that, nobody else really comes to mind. Sorry I love these goober mcgoobersons too much. Itagaki, thank you as always.
Thank you for the question as well, bro.

I Don't know if you answered this before but uhh- .. I don't understand the jokes about saint-just and desmoulins's relationship (it's funny as hell I swear).. like when did they met at the first place? What's the whole story about them? ..
Thx and have a nice day♡
Hello!
The jokes about their relationship! Yes, there have been a few about them having a supposed not unequivocally platonic thing between them. We do have reasons to make such speculations, but we have very little, and it’s highly exaggerated; most of it is just a fun theory to fill the gaps/spice things up but shouldn’t be taken too seriously. What we have is plenty of space left for speculations with the traces they left us. To summarise: we can’t say anything occurred; it’s just a light theory, slightly humourized recently, but it also didn’t materialise out of completely nothing ;)
Desmoulins and Saint-Just more or less kept in touch since 1789, and it continued until mid 1793. Those four years, and especially everything that happened at the very beginning, the correspondence, are very intense from SJ’s side. In May 1790, SJ wrote to his colleague: If you need me, write to me, and in general expresses a lot of enthusiasm about the relationship, while the same is not seen from Desmoulins’ side; he is successful as a journalist and just married, and perhaps didn’t consider responding to SJ’s letters due to lack of time / simply didn’t wish to. It’s also important to note that the two men shared a similar passion for both poetry/literature and politics; earlier, on 2nd January 1790 Camille will publish a short note recommending SJ’s Organt in his Révolutions de France et de Brabant.
Before the age of 25, SJ planned to participate in journalism. We can obviously suspect that there’s some influence of Camille, since young SJ looked up to him; admired him dearly as an older, respected colleague and perhaps seen him as kind of a guide; he read his newspaper, and likely tried to follow and watch how his career develops. Desmoulins, on the other hand, mocked him (half-jokingly?) numerous times, by calling out SJ’s previous support for the constitutional monarchy and calling him chevalier de Saint-Just, etc etc. There is nothing that suggests a close friendship between them; it seems that Saint-Just didn’t even know Camille’s address for some time of their correspondence (it had to be added by the post office, but wasn’t written by SJ himself on the envelope).
We observed their relationship cooling down. In 1793, in an unsent letter, SJ expressed a lot of emotions while referring to Desmoulins; which is important to highlight, because by 1793 it was important to SJ to look as professional as possible, putting personal feelings aside to create a serious facade. The letter, including the kiss* Camille from me and tell him I won’t be seeing him anymore line is personal and raw; it’s nothing suggestive per se, but leaves plenty of space to raise questions such as: what made him suddenly write such a letter, wishing to cut Desmoulins off completely? Why wasn’t it ever sent? It’s undeniable that the letter is highly emotional, and less-political.
Go to Desmoulins, embrace him for me, and tell him that he will never see me again, that I esteem his patriotism, but that I despise him, because I have penetrated his soul and he fears that I will betray him. Tell him that he does not abandon the good cause, and recommend him, for he has not yet the audacity of magnanimous virtue.
That’s the cherry on top when we speak of the supposed “crush” Saint-Just would have had on his colleague, the dramatic end of the quite one-sided relationship between them. Obviously, most of it is a light joke based around the incomplete story and shouldn’t be taken too seriously.
The facts are: young Saint-Just was seeking connections, political allies/guidance and possibly good friends; he was enthusiastic about his correspondence with Desmoulins, he was fascinated by him as an older colleague and a revolutionary voice, but it wasn’t met with an equal feedback, the letters suggest an emotional bond between them, mostly one-sided, but not a close friendship. Eventually they cooled down in terms, which was then sealed by political differences.
Hope this cleared the case a little!
*In the original Saint-Just writes embrassez-le pour moi, which as far as I know is translatable as both kiss and embrace.

hi bree <33
i heard that you’re into Astarion and Nagito so i was like ooh you’ve got great taste! :D
then i was like ooh wait- do you think Astarion and Nagito are similar? (other than the white hair and the “pathetic lil meow meow” (/endearing) vibes they’ve got)
and what are the differences between them?
(no need to answer if you don’t feel like it lol i just got curious since i haven’t played Baldur’s Gate yet and am writing this on the spur of the moment haha)
have a great day/night! and remember to stay hydrated :)
This is a good question! Especially since it is actually kind of hard to boil down EXACTLY what my type is when it comes to fictional characters but here are my thots
They are similar in only a few aspects. obviously the white hair, skinny little guy situation (astarion has abs in the game but this is wrong and untrue. i have a mod installed to rectify this game breaking issue). Also TRAUMA, and how they deflect it. This is actually kind of more similar than you might think, UNTIL you look at the motivations. so bare essentials, Astarion and Komaeda both do bad things as a way to regain control over their lives. For Astarion its more of a 'i lived a living hell for 200 years its time for me to have some fucking fun or die trying' where komaeda is doing it so he feels more in control of his own luck cycle. similar, but also very very different. I actually kind of think they would hate each other. Astarion uses a lot of manipulation tactics to try and gain the trust/protection of other people and i think tbh Komaeda is kinda unmanipulable. That kind of thing just wouldnt work on him, cause yeah, he will likely do anything you ask him to, but he will do anything that anyone asks him to, there is no exclusivity with him. Also i think it would be funny for Komaeda to finally do some insane shit and Astarion would be like, "Oh good! What fun!" Komaeda would reply, "Ah! I am glad to have your approval, lets hope that this tragedy leads us all into a more hopeful future, don't you agree? :))" and Astarion would say, "Never mind! he still SUCKS!" Astarion does bad things for a hee hee hoo hoo silly time, but komaeda always ascribes some weird bullshit to it and he would find that INSUFFERABLE. Astarion would also absolutely despise Komaeda self-deprecating tenancies, but is kind of vain, so as long as Komaeda compliments him enough i think he will survive, but he will complain the whole time. anyway. this has been long. please play baldurs gate 3. im reblogging a lot of stuff about it on my main (Daveth-isnt-dead) if you are inchrested.

I’m afraid that I can be annoying now, ‘cause I just write to you too often, so you could just not answer if you want, I’ll understand. But about Stenny headcannons, I have a few although I didn’t really watched sp really much. (maybe it’s wrong actually)
• Sometimes Stan helps princess Kenny with makeup. He didn’t do something unreal or expressive and bright, he goes with a slight things, which Kenny already appreciates. When Stan firstly saw Kenny trying to put a makeup on, his first reaction was: “Dude, seriously? You’re literally wearing a hood”.
• Maybe Kenny can be really flirty when it comes to Stan, but he’s easily blushful actually. He doesn’t expects Stan to answer him, so when Marsh does this Kenny becomes unseriously grouch.
• In correspondence or anything like that, Stan is writing pretty basic but at the same time not. He’s starts sentence with a small capital, puts dot in the end and doesn’t really use emojis. So some people , who don’t really in touch with him, can think he’s kind of sad or too serious. But Kenny knows that he’s not. Kenny likes to send some cringey and funny emojis. In tg he would record fun circles and just circles a lot. Like really a lot. And Stan actually appreciates this. He feels special and he likes it.
• In Stan’s depressed episodes Kenny…not always knows what to do. Sometimes he can cheer him up with a film night or some snacks, but sometimes Stan is awfully sad. In those times Kenny tries to loose his tongue and make Stan get all of it of his chest. Stan appreciates that, but he doesn’t like it when Kenny witness it all. So he’s trying to hide somewhere or doesn’t show up at home some time. Stan apologies for this a lot, but it happens not so much to hurt Kenny. But, whatever, Kenny insists to go to therapy because of that. And yes, Stan, we need to talk about it, don’t think you deflect my attention!
• Stan is very huggable and soft. He likes to be a…he doesn’t care actually. He can be either a big or little spoon, he just likes physical contact. Sometimes he can be too embarrassed to show it. Kenny is kinesthetic too, he likes it when Stan takes initiative and goes for a hug or kiss himself.
• Stan can be a smartass, when he wants to be, but he still can be pretty oblivious sometimes, when Kenny inkles on something. And Kenny finds it really funny.
• Kenny is a good cooker, but deny all that, he likes when Stan’s doing the breakfast or any meal. At those times he can feel that all of this happening is real. Stan standing there and joyfully talking to him while cooking something, him sitting here and watch his boyfriend lovingly. He really likes weekends morning.
That’s all for now, just because it’s like really late…or early? It’s already a morning tho, and I’m still up. I hope I’m not annoying.
Hi! you're not annoying, these are really cute! I appreciate you taking the time to write all of these. honestly, I haven't thought of most of these before so I can't say I have a strong opinion regarding the headcanons you brought up, but if you'd like, I can say how I see things ✨ (of course you don't have to agree with me!)
(this is just as long as the ask so sorry in advance sdfsd)
I do think kenny would be better at makeup than stan, simply because stan has no reason to be knowledgeable in it.... though, if kenny asks him for help knowing he's pisspoor at it that's a whole other thing (and also cute)!
Iiiii actually don't think kenny would flirt with stan too much? tease him sure, maybe he does flirt here and there. but since my headcanon kenny hides his crush, he'd try to play it cool and normal most of the time. though if you mean after they start going out then definitely! kenny is caught off guard every single time stans positively answers his flirts
kenny using circles is super cute!! I can see that. he posts stupid memey things in public but all the important stuff on circles.. so cute! I don't think stan would end his sentences with a period, but i can see him mostly writing without many emojis so he comes across kinda cold. 🥰 (btw kyle would be worse and would use periods at the end of a sentence. texting him is terrifying)
here i'm gonna pose it a little differently- I do agree kenny doesn't really know what to do when stan's depressed. but for stan's everyday grievances (and god knows he has a lot) he goes to kenny and rants a LOT. sometimes even to kenny's dismay cuz in a younger age it would make him feel like their friendship is one-sided, or develop a little resentment cuz stan's problems are nothing next to kenny's and he never complained. but as they grow up slowly he changes his perspective and learns to appreciate stan confiding in him, and realizes it's part of the reason they got closer. (this is also a headcanon I adopted from basu's stenny fics 🤗)
this one!! i've thought of a lot. I think in general in kenny and stan's relationship as a couple stan likes being taken care of, and kenny does it kinda naturally. but! I think stan really likes being the big spoon. I don't have an explanation, i don't even think stan is a big hug person but somehow it makes sense to me.. and kenny loves it. as for the rest I completely agree- kenny is always over the moon when stan initiates
oh yes oblivious stan is one of my favorite things ever. kenny takes advantage of it a lot and teases him all the time, just to see stan's face when he realizes kenny's fucking with him. soooo cute.
I agree kenny loves watching stan cook, or when stan cooks for them. though, i think stan cooks like a single college dude. aka he's fairly fine making pasta, rice, and other really simple things but he's not great (after all he comes from a good family with warm meals every day, he had no need to cook for himself till he moved out). kenny definitely cooks better, and they would probably die of malnutrition without him cooking for them daily. I don't think he hides it, just sometimes he's too tired to cook or stan wants to spoil him a little, or sometimes kenny's just a little bit selfish and convinces stan to cook anyway. also I think they'd love cooking together! though their schedules don't sync a lot

Convention babbling
Last weekend, I had another chance to meet some of the Vikings cast. We germans are quite lucky, aren't we?
In comparison to the Vikings Con last month (that was really really crowded [Alex himself said it was fcking mental 😂]) it was so much more chill this time (at least in regard to queues in front of our beloved Vikings).
There wasn't really a queue in front of Alex on Saturday morning. That never happened before in my convention experience 🤣 So we went straight to him and gosh. I think everybody knows by now what an absolute sweetheart he is. So kind, so welcoming, so touchy. He already greets one with such a big smile on his face that even haters must be melting by then :D
He also most of the time stays next to his table (and not behind) to be nearer to his fans (maybe it's also more convenient because of all the selfies).
He said something about my hairdo and looked at it more closely and I said I have a question but might be too nervous to read it (from my phone) so he said oh don't be nervous and he laid his arm around my shoulder and squished me nearer against him - as if this would help to not be nervous anymore 🤣🤣So I gave him my phone so he could read the question: Which part of your character would you have loved to explore more in-depth.
He said oh it's a good question and I said..I know (in a joking way)...and he mimicked me and snorted :D (gif 1 ♥)
Then he said...maybe the softness...and I asked if he meant this in regard of his brothers or his wife and he said, in general because there was not a lot of love with him...I threw something in about Igor (that he was soft with him after he got humbled down in season 6) and he went on saying Ivar deserved the most to get some love and Alex proposed the idea for a romcom for Ivar to me. He would find this hilarious (and gosh he spoke this part with a smile on his face - gif 2 ♥) :D...and then he got serious again and said he would have loved to see Ivar experiencing some true and heartfelt love...I chimed in and said, but he did love Freydis though, right? He said yes, but it was also soooooo toxic..it was a toxic relationship for sure...and maybe the love for himself /selflove would also be a good answer to my original question. That would have been interesting for him to portray more in-depth--because if you don't love yourself you can't love others (he said it).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And then it was Selfie time :) I put my arms around his waist, squeezed into his arm, and got my photos and some funny scenes. Thanks to @vaire-gwir who recorded the whole encounter ♥♥♥
Tumblr media
Afterward, I went to Clive and pretty much asked him the same question after I thanked him as well for being here again and always being so kind and engaging with us fans. He also took his time answering and I could ask a few additional question and tell him about my own opinion. I !of course! have this encounter recorded as well, thanks to the wonderful Vivi ♥♥ Who would never forget to record a special moment (I got forced to write this now xd)
Clive would have loved for Rollo to explore his story with Lagertha more. They had this scene when they talked about Bjorn being his child (i chimed in and asked..is he??? and Clive said YES!! but he nevertheless wasn't his father because for that it means more then giving sperm) and he would have loved to go back and showing a few more scene with Lagertha and him back in time, because it is somehow important to understand Rollo as a character, cause he always gets things taken from him (like his first love by Ragnar, his ambitions by Ragnar and so on. He would have loved to have something of his own, not always be in the shadow of someone else like it was with Ragnar. He always was overlooked in his ambitions and Clive would also have loved to see more of Rollos later achievements or the ones of his son - as in making a Sequel for what is going on in Frankia. We talked a bit over that...if there is a sequel planned or any mentions in Vikings Valhalla, but he doesn't know but might pitch the idea to Leo Sutter (who was there as well) XD At some point the conversation led to Siggy and Gisla (I can't remember why it happened), but we ended up agreeing that he treated Siggy poorly and that he deserved a wife like Gisla who had him somehow under control :D
When it came to the Selfie we started figuring out the pose and suddenly there was a wild Alex with us in the picture 🤣🤣 He photobombed us and I so don't mind XD When you do a Selfie with them, they often have the power over the phone (they are pros in doing Sefies xd) and they push the button not just once so I still have also a Selfie with just Clive 🤓
Jordan: Oh gosh, he is also such a charmer ♥ and his thick Australian accent sounds so soo good. First thing he said after the hello how are you, was, that my eyes are pretty cool and my mind went blank 🤣🤣🤣 I bounced it right back at him and we talked a bit about why he had the surfboard with him at the airport (he's going to Australia after the weekend) and he wondered how many people knew of this and I said..yeah I mean you posted it on your Instagram?? (Why is he wondering, right XD) And he said he never thinks about that people actually watch his stories 😂
A changed the question a tiny bit and asked him if there was anything he wished Ubbe could have done more.
He answered that he would have loved to act out Ubbe's aggressive side more / he wished he could have done more violent scenes. Ubbe was always the responsible one and he would have loved to just slice some more people xd Especially for him, Jordan, that would have been fun. Also, a bit like Clive, he said that he wanted something that Ubbe had for his own. Not always be just a part of something his brothers did, but taking his own space instead.
He was also so kind to allow another selfie after the paid one, where my friend could also squeezed in ♥♥
I went back to him on Sunday as well to get the selfie signed by him (printed it as a photo). The Vikings panel was before that and one question there was if there is any scene they shot that didn't make the cut. He talked about the scene where he is sitting at Sigurd's grave, talking to him. Originally Sigurd talked back to him, but it ended up looking weird. So when I went to him afterward, I told him that this scene is an extra on the DVD and he was so surprised and asked me how it turned out and I told him it's 'just' him talking to Sigurd but no talking back and that I always wondered why they deleted this scene cause it's so important in my opinion and it's also kinda nice to see that at least one brother cared about Sigurd (Jordan didn't even remember Sigurd's name during the panel XD) and he said he needs to check it out. And then he started the signing and I asked him in the meanwhile if he remembers the scene in York when Ivar is sitting in front of his chariot, screaming and Ubbe comes into the place, but holds all his warriors back for a minute - why did he do it?? And Jordan said he also wondered about it while shooting the scene but he thinks that Ubbe already sensed that Ivar lost himself a bit and that it would only get worse. He went on a bit philosophizing about his answer :)
During explaining his thoughts about it, he pointed the open pen at me and made a gesture like scolding me and out of reflex I chimed in and guided the pen down what made him laugh (luckily 🙈) and he went on thinking about the scene and at the end he kind of thanked me for this good question 🤓🤟🏻 He also asked me if I wanted a hug as well when I was about to grab my photo and of course I went for a hug with him XD Who would have said no thanks 😂😂
Tumblr media
For Alex, my friend and I went to the Meet & Greet with him and there were only 3 more people so we had a great experience and I again could interact with him some more (asking questions, just holding a conversation, sharing a laugh and so on). Last time in Düsseldorf were over 20 people so it wasn't that interactive. It was such a great experience ♥♥ He is just such a sunshine ♥♥
Sorry it got so long (not sorry at all xd) and I could go on and on about it, but I don't want to bore you all to death. Don't pay too much attention at spelling and grammar...I wrote everything in a rush :P

you're genderfluid. i'm genderfluid.
hcs for coming out to Gareth as genderfluid?
Gareth Emerson X Genderfluid!Reader
yes hi hello I'm sorry for answering this after months???ithink??? sorry. did not know what to write and I always has other fics to concentrate on. again, I apologize. and thank you for requesting.
also really hoping this shows up in the tags because the last one didn't </3 (I also spent a lot of effort in it so it was kind of sad)
taglist: @thatsthewaythechrissycrumbles @manyfandomsfanvergent (if you want to be added, just ask!🥰)
warnings: mentions of homophobia and transphobia, established relationship
of course you're nervous to tell him, even when him and the rest of Corroded Coffin are all anti-conformist (and none of them fit in the cishet box) you're still nervous. who wouldn't be
but you muster up the courage to talk to him somehow. you sit him down and tell him there's something important you have to tell him
he swears he has a heart attack right there. he thinks you're going to break up with him. so he nods and his face goes serious. but he does see you're anxious and can't breath right, so he holds your hands. because even if you're leaving him he still loves and supports you, in every way.
when you say the words he stops. blinks
"What?"
"Oh, so you're not breaking up with me?"
at first he's just relieved you're not leaving him, but then he asks more about it.
if we're imagining Modern!Gareth then he'll know the meaning and hug you real tight, reassuring you that there's nothing that could make him love you any less
but if not, he'll maybe not know what you mean. (I don't even know if the term existed 40 years ago?? maybe not) so you explain what you mean while he listens intently, absorbing everything
of course none of his feelings for you change. you're still his sweetheart<33
knowing about the trans community he asks if you have another name you want to go by. if you do he'll never deadname you. not once will he slip up. he'll also love your name and say it suits you, cause it does
from that moment on he always asks you what pronouns you use each day.
if and when you're ready to come out to the rest of Corroded Coffin he'll be by your side, holding your hand and rubbing your back reassuringly
of course all of them have no problem with it and respect your pronouns and name. if in the rare occasion that they slip up, Gareth is the first to correct them
he also goes shopping with to to find clothes for the times your gender changes. he'll also be EUPHORIC if you ask to wear his clothes when feeling masc
he turns into your personal stylist, giving you advice in what clothes fit you the best (he'll say you look hot in all of them)
if his style doesn't match yours he's not mad at all, it just means he can spoil you by buying you all different kinds of clothing
he's there to just support you in every way possible
when you're dysphoric he's by your side the whole time. kissing, hugging, praising and making sure you're feeling the best you can at the moment. he understands how things can get frustrating and won't invalidate that, but he also doesn't want to see you sad
so he brings snacks. because snacks make everything better
if you even come out to someone and they don't respect you??? dead to him. won't do anything major (unless you ask him to. he's always ready to throw hands) because he knows you don't want that kind of attention. but he WILL be passive aggressive (it'll be funny though)
by the way, I still accept requests, so feel free to ask for hc about Gareth!
(reposting this, hoping it's going to show up in the tags)

heyooo so this is a lot and you don’t have to answer all of them!!
2: If you could meet anyone on this earth, who would it be?
7: What’s your strangest talent?
15: Do you prefer to be behind the camera or in front of it?
23: How do you vent your anger?
26: Are you happy with the person you’ve become?
28: What’s your biggest “what if”?
70: Are you the kind of friend you would want to have as a friend?
74: What’s a song that always makes you happy when you hear it?
82: What is your favourite word?
84: What is a saying you say a lot?
99: If the whole world were listening to you right now, what would you say?
omg hey this is from a long time ago
2: ummmm YOU !! apart from you, i have absolutely no idea? i'm actually really content with what i have rn and wouldn't want to meet any celebrity. but yes. literally you. i also would wanna meet some other mutuals!! (but like 96% i wanna meet u)
7: i don't have any strange talents :( the funny thing is i have literally zero tricks. even the SIMPLIST things. like i can't cross my eyes, roll my tongue, click my fingers, any of that. in fact, my quirk is the fact that i HAVE no quirks. can't do anything 🤪 although i can hula hoop really well? like switch the hoops through different limbs? does that count as strange?
15: OHHHH behind the camera. ofc. i would die to be a director at some point in my life (never gonna happen). also i just always take pics of other people/things
23: MY DIARY OFC !!! its good for the soul. i have 8 diaries as of so far, and they're working. (also i send you voice messages x)
26: hmmmm yes! i definitely think there are some things about myself that i wish were different, because i'm a very flawed person personality-wise. but i am happy. i can do cool things like write books and crochet and make art. so that's good enough i think
28: would it be crazy if i said i have no "what ifs?" like idk??? maybeee uh what if i hadn't rejected that one person/confronted that one person (you know who). but the thing is i know what wld happen. we'd fall apart and end up hating each other OR i'd just awkwardly break up with them cause i lost interest.
70: ummmmmm i have no idea. i think personality-wise no. cause i'm just very blunt and not very patient and can sound condescending, which i think makes my friends dislike me sometimes. i'm simultaneously a very sensitive person, so i dont think i could handle being friends with myself. BUT i would love to have someone who's like me in other aspects. e.g. i would love a friend who also crochets + reads my type of books + listens to the same music as me etc.
74: oohhhhh 'about you' by the 1975
82: OMG I HAVE A FAVOURITE WORD it's solstice.
84: i have no idea tbh...
99: OH MY GOD. that hits hard wtf. um i have no idea, but i'll get back to u on that
sorry if some of this doesn't make sense i am sleep deprived x

So, I have a few things to say and/or questions, and you don't have to answer and/or say anything about them for any of them and/or all of them ofc. So first of all, that post with 2012 Mom Leo (which always brings me joy, I love 2012 Mom Leo so much) and the whole, him and Raph coming to an agreement for Raph to swear in Japanese, because he doesn't want him swearing in front of kids, esp. Rise Mikey. And Raph swearing in front of 2003 Splinter who just basically got shocked and was going to say something, but then didn't, because Raph is the same, and then Rise Splinter also overhearing and just laughing and then 2012 Leo finding out from his brothers (I think) and just falling on the floor and cracking up was just, so nice and funny. ^^
Ok, now for some other stuff. Ok, so you know, how you and some other people were talking about 2012 Leo maybe having a heart condition (because 2012 Leo can never have enough issues, right, he could use more issues and/or conditions, because we/people are "evil", lol. I wonder if it would it make Leo (not just 2012, but in general) feel better that most of the suffering people put him through, is mostly always done out of love for him? Probably not. And now, I gotta know, is there a chance that this new headcanon might be a thing in ur Universal Collison fic, because like, the even more angst that would cause. Like, the Rise characters would just be like, man Leo, "how are u even functioning at all with all that?", and would just be very concerned.
Ok, now unto yet another thing. But like, I saw u might be writing some fics with the Leopril ship, and yes, just yes. I still love Donnie/April and Casey/Donnie (or all three), but I have grown to really like Leopril too now. As well as Caseynardo now too; I also really like Caseynardo now too. I also just really love all these characters, and really like the dynamics of these characters, so I am always up to seeing more of that. Plus like, I have grown to really like the Leopril and Caseynardo ship (which is Casey and Leo ofc) now.
Last things for now. Thanks for updating "A Universal Collison" and happy early 10 chapters! Just one more chapter until 10 after all!!
And like, I have already said that in the reply of that post, but God, I would love to see a fic of Foot/Bodyguard, gotten separated from his family and raised in The Foot with Kairi and is her bodyguard and just strong friends with her and Shini (I love them and Kairi, Shini, Leo trio so much). Because like, the fluff, the angst, just everything?!?? It sounds exactly like the kind of fic I would love (I am also a sucker for Foot!Leo, dark(er) Leo, and/or more villainous Leo and/or etc., because I am evil, and I like to see my favorite in interesting stories and/or situations and stuff). Anyways, I really like that AU basically.
Alright, I still have more to say, but God, this Ask has gotten long enough. Praying it gets through properly.
Aaaaaaaa-! I'm glad that you liked my one post featuring 12 Mom Leo and his agreement with his little brother who ended up putting his foot in his mouth in front of 03 Splinter lol. I was hoping for a comedic effect and I'm glad that it's come out well!!! Now onwards to your questions!!!!
Tbh I actually was thinking about adding the heart condition thing into A Universal Collision, however unfortunately I've already got a lot of stuff already planned for our boy 12 Leo such as his knee and vocal chords and a few other things. And while I'd love to include it everything that I have planned somewhat for the fic is already becoming a bit longer than I was originally planning to make it and I'd hate to make the fic so long that it ends up boring people with everything. Plus I wanna give some of the spotlight to the others as well (I'm already getting stuff set up for Rise Mikey whoop-) so it'd probably make my fic way too long. However if I do go writing for this angsty head canon and all the hurt/comfort it could bring it'll probably be it's own little one shot or a little mini series that diverges from the main timeline Universal Collision is currently experiencing.
To answer your second question omfg yesssss-!!! Leopril is such a cute ship and I totally agree with you!! Also Caseynardo???? Casey and Leo have a ship???? WHY HAVEN'T I HEARD ABOUT THIS OMFG-
But you're absolutely right about how the characters all have amazing dynamics and relationships that just make them so fun to play around with!!! Especially the Leopril ship, like there's just so much chemistry between them and their personalities blend extremely well together making them work well together!!! Seeing them interacting and fighting crime together is honestly just as much of a treat as seeing Capritello interact!!!!
And aaaaaa thank you for the congratulations!! Can you believe that this silly little self indulgent project is nearly ten chapters long????? Like omfg????? Tbh with you I never expected for the fic to get as long as it's gotten, in fact I was planning on leaving chapter one as a one shot in the beginning of all this insanity much like my one fic An Eldest Son's Duty. However hilariously enough the idea wouldn't leave me alone and here we are! Still super wild and overwhelming that my fic blew up the way it did like??? It's honestly just a self indulgent fic and I never could've foreseen just how big it'd get especially since there's so many other amazing writers out there and I'm like honestly an amateur in the field of writing lmao. It's wild and I'm really happy that you and others enjoy it so much!!! And you're welcome!!! I'm always here to please with giving out new chapters!!!!
Shsgsgsgsg Foot Leo being raised by the Shredder alongside Karai lives rent free in my head. I personally live for the Oroku siblings and their bestie Shinigami as they reek havoc wherever they go. And omg yessss the angst, the hurt, the fluff!!! There's just so many things that this type of scenario can give and it's one of the reasons why it's been rotting in my brain!! Just the whole premise of Leo being separated from his family and being raised with Karai as her personal bodyguard and her closest companion is honestly so good!! Especially when they meet up with the others later within their lives and things spiral from there and secrets and lies and conflicting emotions and thoughts occur within them!!! Plus Leo being morally more grey than he already is is honestly such a fun concept to think about like Oroku Leo is the type of guy who kills a guy first and doesn't ask questions much to the horror of Raph, Donnie and Mikey and to the amusement of Karai and Shinigami lol. Honestly bro I'm planning on writing something for this AU eventually because it's just too good to pass up on!!! And I'm so glad that you're enjoying the thoughts and ideas of it just as much as I am!!!! Like seriously though we need more Foot Leo in stories because it's just such a good and interesting concept and there's just so many ways people can go about this!!!!

my thoughts after watching Doctor Who vs Women
Okay, so I just finished watching the amazing video essay Doctor Who vs Women by verilybitchie on YouTube and it made me realise two things that I just wanted to get out :)
The first thing is how I look at fictional characters.
When you ask me who my favourite doctor is I can't just give you an answer right away. I always have to clarify some things first and the essay by verilybitchie kind of highlighted this in my mind, which I find funny.
I first have to state that my favourite era is RTD's era, because it's the best written one. Then I have to state that David Tennant is one of my favourite actors (because I'm silly and feel like I betray him otherwise). And then it comes out that 11 is my favourite Doctor. But why is that? One of my favourite parts about the Doctor is that he's such an asexual being. But the eleventh doctor suddenly is sexually attracted to women. How is 11 then my favourite? This brings me to how I look at characters. This isn't the first time that I adore a character but am appalled by the uncharacteristic thing he does.
A very simple example of this is Luke Danes from Gilmore Girls. In season 1 he says something about golf being bad for the environment. I'm a biologist so I loved him for that comment. But later it's written that his hobby is fishing, which to me makes zero sense if you care about the environment. In my mind I just put it in my "no" box and I decide for myself that it's not him.
I create a version of the character in my mind who I think they are. If the writer makes the character do something that I think is uncharacteristic I just don't really view it as cannon. I just say that it's the writers fault and not the character's.
Anyway, that's on how I look at fictional characters, which I think is funny and a bit silly and I know lots of people don't agree with it. But that doesn't matter, cause it makes my own viewing experience better haha. All in all, I think Matt Smith played the doctor very well, but Moffat made some choices for the character that I very much not agree with and I realise I'm very capable of ignoring that.
Tumblr media
The second thing I want to talk about is more tied to the actual essay of verilybitchie.
So, yes, I think we can all agree that Moffat writes women and couple dynamics to feed his own fetish. It's not even hidden in his seasons. But I don't like how Amy is always given as THE example of this, as if she is the most 2d character ever. When I watched it I definitely didn't experience her that way (I experienced River much more so). Looking back at her, yes, she was very much written to fullfill Moffat's own fantasy and I very much view her as waisted potential.
The way she acts makes a lot of sense for a girl who didn't have a nice home life and then met a very magical man that then left her again while promising he'd be back in five minutes. She has abandonment issues and is insecure in her relationship with Rory because of it. I also don't like it when people say she didn't love Rory. The whole arc is that she shows love differently than he does. She starts out as someone who is troubled and childish because of her childhood. Over the seasons she grows up.
Yes, the sexual assault of the doctor was very weird and bad and incredibly awful to watch (I physically cringe away from my screen every time I watch it), especially since it was just brushed over. Again, I view this very much as a writer's mistake and not as Amy's mistake, but that's my way of looking at fictional characters xD and I completely understand if you hold her accountable for it.
But now I wonder if the complexity I see in Amy is just something that I see in her and wasn't something that was intended by the writers. Not that it matters, cause it's art and art is about how the viewer interprets it, right?
What I hate the most is how I feel like out of all the companions she is put through the most. Her memory of people she loved is wiped multiple times. She gave birth in the most ffed up circumstances and then lost her child and then realised she grew up with the child! (God, I hate that story line). This is all a lot, but there are no signs that she's actually mentally messed up about it, which makes absolutely no sense. She (and Rory too btw) just take the information as it is and continue their lives. This all really irritated me about that era.
Ironically, I also love this era even though it has so many faults. The little family the doctor created for himself with Amy and Rory is so incredibly special to me. The dynamic the doctor had with that couple definitely comes second place for me when it comes to doctor companion dynamics (Rose and the Doctor on number 1). Rory is also my favourite companion and my favourite Doctor Who episode is Dinosaurs on a spaceship. [I mainly love the episode cause it's just really funny and fun, very much a comfort episode]
So yeah, even though I think Moffat made some very(!) bad writing choices, he did give me my favourite companion and episode. Who would have guessed there is nuance to almost everything?
