ML Season 3 Rewatch: Chameleon
Alright, episode 1 of my rewatch!! I’ve seen pretty much all the episodes at least two or three times, but I wanted to do it again all in order (to be determined if production order really is the order) And I was originally planning to do this before the finale, with ALL the episodes. But that’s not really how things were able to go down. So, hopefully, by the time I get to when Chat Blanc and Felix are supposed to be, they will have aired and I can continue making these posts in the right order lol. I guess we’ll see.
Anyway, first up is Chameleon! I watched this episode immediately after I finished watching season 2, back in March? I think? And back then the episodes were really starting to blur together for me because I was marathoning through them so fast, so I’m excited to watch it again now!!
Play by play thoughts under the cut! And a gifset of the episode to follow shortly!!
lmao the running with the croissant
is this episode the origin of the never to be named hamster???
swapping the seats around so marinette could be next to adrien is something alya (the ultimate best friend) WOULD do. just not this time marinette, sorry lol
why Achoo. why is that what they decided to call the fictional country i just
fUCK LILA
okay so she comes in late and everyone has already swapped seats and she thanks them for remembering?? but like, did they actually remember, or did miss bustier just tell them and that’s why they switched?
first episode: hawkmoth tries to akumatize marinette. last episode before finale (Ladybug) hawkmoth almost really DOES akumatize marinette!! BOTH times because Lila’s been lying.
Lila petting adrien’s shoulder 🤢
their school cafeteria is so nice??? the plants everywhere?? and the big windows??
nothing pisses me off like lila and her fake disability bullshit lol (i mean its love to hate, shes great as a character, but MAN listening to her makes me angry lol)
“eye gouged out by the corner of a napkin” 🙄🙄
lila talking to adrien about her ““arthritis”” and she’s already grabbing the wrong wrist. girl if you gonna make your whole career about lying you should at least be GOOD at it
SO many parallels/references between this episode and the Ladybug episode
everyone was so mad at Adrien in this episode for “not helping” marinette, but honestlyyy, i personally would have handled things similarly. He calls her out, just not publicly, makes it clear to Lila that even though he’s friendly with her, he’s not on her side, and that if she crosses the line, he won’t even be that. Which we end up seeing in Ladybug. And I honestly really like that we get to see the different ways both Marinette and Adrien handle this whole issue, shows a difference in thinking patterns/thought processes while still emphasizing that their hearts are in the right place.
lila’s just like “this day isn’t going how i planned. guess i’ll just grab this akuma, tell hawkmoth who i am and be a supervillain instead - sounds fun” lol
everyone who wears a hat in this show, should just never take them off. too weird seeing their hair lol
adrien’s VA doing a lila-esque adrien voice is actually so good
i actually really like when they skip the transformation sequence and we see the glow from like behind a door lol. its a nice change of pace and can help things flow a little better too
“Quentin!! Quentin!!”
lmao five minutes later and adrien’s been hit by lila’s evil kiss again. poor guy can’t catch a break
i’ll never get over how ridiculous the lucky charm is in this episode lol. “oh no, how will ladybug get out of this one?? Ah yes, of course!! she’ll just turn the villian into a clam!!!” lmaooo i live for this kind of silliness
alya supporting nino when he’s all self conscious about not having his hat on <33
FUCK LILAA
“as long as you and i both know the truth, does it really matter?” OKAy i feel like this line gets shit on a lot, but tbhhhhh it got me in the feels first time i watched it. cause like, he knows theyre on the same side. and knowing they’re in it together is enough for him!! and thats so nice??
THE SOFT EYES!!! i will NEVER get over this. i remember watching it the first time, before i was really involved in this fandom and i was FREAKING OUT, like this is IT, this is the beginning!!! it’s happening!! he cares for her and admires her and i dont give a flying fuck if its only as a friend for now, he thinks she’s awesome and that is a great thing!!!
alsooo, just the action of choosing to sit next to her after everything IS showing support for marinette, even if its only the two of them that understand the significance. and it’s a subtle fuck you to lila too, who earlier this episode said she’d turn adrien against her. that worked out well didn’t it lie-la
“sorry lila, he’s my best friend. also, i hate you.”
Whew, man, what a way to start of the season. Drama already, a great setting of the stage for whats to come with the Lila&Hawkmoth/Gabriel storyline, aaaand what looks to be the beginnings of Adrien’s deepening feelings for Marinette. Definitely not a mistake that these things are being showcased in the very first episode imo.
In terms of production order vs real order, this is the first one, pretty sure theres no arguing on this episode. Lila comes back from Achoo, and she’s generally around the whole season, so it’s gotta be first, even if it hadn’t been essentially confirmed that it was.

"Oh hey Eraser Head! What's going on?" Fatgum answered his phone while sitting at his desk in his office at Fatgum Agency. "Fatgum, Midoriya and Togata have requested for Eri to be present at our School Festival, seeing as how Eri has bonded with Aki, do you think she'd be willing to join her on that day?" Aizawa questioned, standing outside Eri's hospital room where the young girl was currently having her lunch.
Fatgum pondered for a moment,"Well I don't see why she couldn't. I guess she could use a break too, between her assignments and being with Eri at the hospital, I'm sure she'd love it!" "Alright, I'll be sure to let the class know so they don't freak out. Speaking of, only Amajiki and the others in the Big Three have met Aki right? She was away on another assignment when Work Studies happened," Aizawa knew his students would probably freak out when seeing Eri's caregiver and friend, who was the same age as them but on a whole other level.
"You're correct, so Kirishima hasn't met her. It'll be fine though, I have full confidence that everything will be fine," Fatgum smiled into the phone, nonchalant about anything going on. "Alright, we'll discuss details later then," with that the two hung up.
~~~
"Oh hey Togata!" Midoriya called out to Togata, waving him over from where Togata was hiding behind the bush. Togata narrowed his eyes, realizing he'd been found out before he can surprise them.
The dance team looked on in surprise as Togata stuck his bottom out from the bush, Eri standing beside him looking surprised as well, "Hey guys! I brought a PEACH for ya,"
"Eri!" Midoroya called out as he, Uraraka and Tsuyu ran up to greet them. "That dress looks so cute," Tsuyu commented, "You are precious!" Uraraka gushing in fondness. The girls couldn't help the big smiles on their faces.
"Midoriya, I finally got permission from the Principle," Togata climbed out of the bush and began brushing off his pants as Aizawa spoke, "in order for her to not get stressed, we're allowing her to roam around today before the Festival, also there's someone you all need to meet as well,"
The other dance team members came forward to introduce themselves to the young girl. "Well hello there, you must be Eri, I'm Iida, nice to meet you," "Wassup I'm Mineta, man you're gonna be a looker when you're older huh~" Mineta smirked, but the young girl hid behind Togata, "I want Aki,"
The name had taken them by surprise, "Aki? Whose that?" Midoriya questioned, confusion written on the Work Study kids faces. "Oh right, you haven't met her yet. Aki is Eri's caregiver, well when she's not on Assignments for Fatgum," Togata explained, "Eri can be a little shy around new people, but her and Aki get along very well,"
"Its perfectly alright to be shy," Iida commented, softening his voice to not scare Eri further. "Let's start the tour! Aki should be here soon, so I wanna show her as much of the school as I can so she can see what we do here, you wanna come along too Midoriya?" Togata extended the offer, knowing that since Aki isn't here, Eri might be calm with Midoriya around too. "You bet!" "Hey Dance Team! New idea!" Kirishima's voice broke out, before realizing Eri was there.
"Oh hey Eri! Wait, we've never been officially introduced," Kirishima crouched down to meet Eri's gaze when another voice broke out.
"I'm so sorry I'm late, someone decided to rob a gas station on the way over and I couldn't just leave the situation," it was a soft, silky voice that came from behind Aizawa. The students all turned their attention to see a young dark skinned girl about their age.
Her hair was a dark auburn red that came to below her shoulder blades, soft waves accentuating her purple eyes that seemed to have a swirl of white in them but were framed with thin gold wired glasses. Freckles dawned her nose and cheeks that were flushed with red, giving her an innocent look. What caught their attention the most was the Ram horns that protuded from her head, her legs being Ran legs with red fur like her hair but black hooves. Her outfit consisted of a off the shoulder wool dress she seemed to be wearing that came to stop at her upper thighs, a bell was wrapped around her neck and jingled everytime she moved, of course it also brought attention to her chest that was framed by the wool.
Some of the boys blushed, and Kirishima found himself entranced by her. "Aki!" Eri exclaimed, walking over to the girl who crouched down to her height, "I missed you!" Eri reached her arms out to her, Aki smiling and welcoming the girl into her arms, "I missed you too," giving Eri a nuzzle as the girls closed their eyes and embraced eachother.
"So you're Aki! It's a pleasure to meet you!" Midoroiya smiled, the class seemingly broken from the momentary shock. "The pleasure is all mine! Thank you for what you did for Eri, I would've been on the assignment too if Papa hadn't sent me on a different one," Aki greeted, before realizing she needed to properly introduce herself.
Standing up, Eri still in her arms as she bowed, "I'm sorry! My name is Toyomitsu Aki, it's so nice to meet you all, please call me Aki!" Straightening up, Eri wrapped her arms around Aki as rested her head on Aki's shoulder.
"Wait, Toyomitsu? Why does that sound familiar?" Kirishima wondered aloud, rubbing his head as if it would bring the answer to him. "WAIT I KNOW YOU!" Midoriya yelled out, eyes growing wide as he pointed toward Aki,"YOU'RE RAM-RAM, THE YOUNGEST PERSON TO EVER BECOME A HERO, YOU'RE ALSO FATGUMS DAUGHTER!" Now the students outside all yelled in shock, "WHAT!?"
"Oops, guess the cats out of the bag," Togata laughed, Aizawa just shaking his head in embarrassment from his students. "WAIT, you're really Fatgum's daughter!? Why didn't I know this!" Kirishima cried out, his head a mess knowing the girl he found cute was actually his Mentors daughter.
"Yeah, Papa adopted me when I was a baby, I hope this doesn't affect us becoming friends?" Aki smiled nervously, her small tail twitching in anticipation. "No way! That's so cool, let's take a break everyone, it's tea time!" Mina chimed in, hoping to calm everyone down from the excitement, "There will be more time to explain later, get on with the tour, we don't have time to waste," Aizawa called out, Togata and Aki nodding as Midoriya went to go change his clothes really quick.
"So if you're Fatgums daughter, you must know Amajiki right?" Kirishima questioned, trying to push through his nerves in front of the pretty Ram girl. He was determined to get to know his Mentors daughter. "Definitely! Tama-Kun is so nice, I love going on assignments with him, especially when he shares his food with me like Papa," Aki gushed, her red cheeks getting even darker with excitement, a closed eye smile making Kirishimas cheeks match hers in color. "My name is Kirishima Eijiro, my hero name is Red Riot, I'm actually a new intern at your father's agency for my Work Study," He introduced himself, holding out a hand in greeting.
Aki's jaw dropped and sparkles seemed to erupt from no where, "NO WAY! Papa has told me all about Red Riot, your name is a play off of Crimson Riot right!? I love that, he's such an amazing Hero!" Aki rambled, Kirishima feeling himself fall even harder.
Togata chuckled and took Eri from Aki, who was so engrossed in her conversation she didn't even seem to notice the weight lifted from her arms. Eri looked between the two red heads and noticed that Aki looks so happy, like when she finds a good object to chew on, then again anything was good to chew on for Aki.
"Totally manly right! Hey, are you gonna be here for our School Festival? It'll be totally killer, we're putting on a performance!" "Of course, I'll be chapperoning Eri that day so we won't miss it," The two had seemed to have fallen into their own little world, the other students just watching in amazement.
"I don't think I've seen Kirishima this excited before," Tsuyu commented, Uraraka and Mina nodding in agreement. "Oh jeez, he's got it bad," Ojiro laughed, Mineta seething from the mouth that he didn't get to touch the pretty animal girl. "He's got what?" Shoji asked, looking to Ojiro for answers, although Hagakure answered instead, "Kirishima is totally falling for Aki! What better romance is that!? An employee and the Bosses daughter? It's so forbidden but romantic!" Hagakure couldn't contain her excitement and started to swoon, Mina grabbing her shoulders as she tries to balance her friend.
"Hey Aki! Let's get this show on the road!" Togata called out, waving his arm to grab her attention. "Oh, coming MiMi-Kun! I guess I should go, we'll talk again soon, right?" Aki questioned, taking Kirishimas hands into her own, a bright smile on her face as her eyes seemed to sparkle. Kirishima felt his face warm up, but nodded, a nervous smile on his face from how close she was,"Definitely, we can meet up sometime at the agency maybe,"
"See ya later," she giggled, walking over and taking Eri's hand into her own. Kirishima could only watch with his heart beating out of his chest as the beautiful girl left, when he felt a hand on his back slap him forward, "OH MY GOSH KIRISHIMA, YOU'RE SO LUCKY, YOU SLY THING YOU!" Mina exclaimed, repeatedly hitting him in her excitement. "Way to go dude," Ojiro laughed, the rest of the students all smiling and calling out their support for him. "Come guys this is so not manly," he whined, embarrassed having realized they watched him and Aki. Yet he smiled and couldn't help but think 'Maybe this Festival will be good,'
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Walking around the school seemed to excite Eri and Aki, both wondering how all the different classes worked and what each class would put on for the School Festival.
Meeting up with Amajiki and Hado excited Aki to the point of her having steam come out of her nose in puffs, "Tama-Kun!Nene-chan!" She called out to them, Nejire flying over in greeting as they began to discuss the beauty pagent in detail and how Nejire was going to win this year.
"Hey! Maybe you should join Aki! I bet you'd be a shoe in for runner up!!" Hado squealed, wanting the girl who was like a little sister to join in on the fun. "Oh I'd live to Nene-chan but I'm not a student here," Aki smiled, though Midoriya thought her smile seemed a little forced, "plus I wouldn't wanna ruin your chances by competing, I'll be sure to cheer you on though!" Aki grinned, giving Hado two thumbs up who returned it. Eri looking between the two and then to her hands, mimicking them but smaller, though everyone swooned.
After visiting the Support Class last, they went to Lunch Rush's in the cafeteria to give Eri somthing to eat to finalize the tour. "Well that's all of U.A!" "What did you think of our School Eri?" Midoriya questioned, Eri though looked unsure, "I..I don't know," both boys looked at eachother nervously, but Aki smiled at her which gave Eri enough courage to continue, "But I can see how hard everyone is working, so I do wanna see how it turns out," Aki gave her a grin, proud of Eri for trying to speak out more and explain her thoughts and feelings.
At the end of the day, they returned Midoriya to Heights Alliance and said goodbye. "We'll be back on the day of the festival," Togata explained, pumping his arm in excitement, "So make sure it's killer,"
As they went to leave, Aki spoke up, "I will catch up with you in a moment MiMi-Kun, I wanna ask Midoriya somthing really quick," Togata nodded and escorted Eri out.
"What is it Aki? Is everything okay?" Aki stared at him for a second, before her eyes sharpened and it made him jump back, "What is your deal with Eri? What are you hoping to gain?" "W-what?" Midoriya was taken back, 'How can such a sweet and cute girl get terrifying to quickly!?'
"You seem very focused on making her happy. Why? I don't want anyone near Eri who was bad intentions," "It's not like that! When we found Eri that first time, I was so upset we couldn't do anything. I beat myself up everytime I think about it, I wanna be a hero that saves people with a smile. But Eri hasn't smiled once, so I wanna help her smile. I wanna help her become a child again, especially after what she went through," Midoriya was firm with his answer, now staring Aki back in the eyes, hoping to show her the true meaning of his intentions.
Aki suddenly smiled, sparkles surrounding her like with Kirishima earlier, "Okie dokie. I hope your goals come true," Midoriya sweat dropped, 'How bipolar can she be?' Aki then bit her lip nervously, arms behind her back as she shuffled, "I do have one more question, more of a favor though,"
This caught him by surprise, "Sure, what is it?" Holding out a folded up paper, she asked, "Can you give this to Kiri-kun for me?" "Huh!? KIRISHIMA!?" "Y-Yes, I know this sounds silly but.. he's very cute," Aki admitted, her face turning red and her tail stub swished back and forth.
"U-uh sure, I can give this to him. Wouldn't you wanna give it to him in person though," "I-I don't know..I don't wanna over step," "Nonsense, come on,"
With that Midoriya led her inside, the rest of the class unwinding in the main sitting area, though they looked in surprise with the girl in tow with Midoriya. "Hello again!" Mina greeted, "Guys this is Toyomitsu Aki, she's Eri's caregiver," Midoriya introduced the girl, her bowing to the class with a smile.
"Hello everyone, so pleased to meet you," her smile made them all flushed, 'SO CUTE'. "So what are you doing here? Is everything okay?" Jirou questioned, "I-I was hoping to speak to u-uh..Kirishima-kun," Aki was embarrassed, now noticing how many people were staring at her intensely.
"Did someone call me? Oh hey Aki! What's up?" Kirishima questioned, having just walked out of the kitchen, but smiled big when he saw the beautiful girl from this morning.
"H-hi! I just wanted to u-uh, give this to you," stumbling over her words, she tried to act relaxed but was dying on the inside and outside. "O-Oh, thanks," Kirishima blushed, taking the folded up note from her out stretched hand, when their fingers touched however they both jumped apart and their faces burned red.
Of course, Mineta took this time to try and sneak up behind the girl. Reaching his hand out to flip the bottom of her dress, mumbling on how it was so short, it'd be a crime to not go through with it. Thankfully, Kirishima took notice and pulled her to him, hardening his hand as he punched him away, "KNOCK IT OFF," He growled, holding Aki close in his left arm.
Aki shivered, noticing how his muscles squeezed her like she'd dissappear if he let her go. Tapping his chest, he realized he was holding her and jumped back, "I'm so sorry! He can just never keep his hands to himself and it'd be so unmanly if me to not step in," Kirishima freaked out, waving his hands and trying to plead his case. He froze though when Aki walked up and gave him a kiss on the cheek, "It's alright, thanks for being my Hero," she winked, suddenly finding some courage in his embarrassment. "I'll see you at the festival like we talked about earlier, right?" Aki asked, let her hands rest on his chest, "U-Uh YYEaH Suree," his voice cracked, his whole mind running in auto pilot. "Awesome, I'll see you then," she turned on her hoof and began walking toward the exit, she looked over to the class in a whole and waved goodnight before exiting Heights Alliance.
A loud thud made everyone turn toward where Kirishima was, noticing he'd fallen over, his eyes swirling and a giant grin in his red face. "Aki's so cute," he chucked, Kaminari and Sero whooping for him while Iida lectured about proper PDA in the presence of others. All Kirishina knew is that the festival couldn't come soon enough.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
On the day of the festival, Aki and Eri sat in the back if a taxi has Togata sat up front and was going over the schedule for the day. "We'll catch 1-As performance, then race over to 1-B for their play, then it'll be lunch and the pagent, does that sound alright?" He turned to face the horned girls in the back, Eri's outfit was a cute red and white dress while Aki wore her usual wool dress only this time it was red to compliment her hair.
"Sounds great, we can probably catch 1-A setting up before they perform," "oo~you just wanna catch Kirishima before he performs, maybe to wish him luck~" Togata teased, Aki gritting her teeth and raising her hood, kicking him in the back if the head leaving a hoof print, "Hehe, nevermind," Togata smiled, Eri looking up at Aki, "Do you like Kirishima?" "U-uh well, I admire him so to say," Aki tripped over her words as Togata laughed at her misfortune.
Once they'd arrived at the school, Aki mentioned she was going to see Nejire before 1-A to wish her luck before she got ready.
"Nene-chan, are you in here?" Aki knocked, hearing a lot of voices from inside the dressing room. Opening the door, Aki was met with Hado, Yuyu, and a few other students. "Oh sorry, I just wanted to come wish you luck," Aki smiled, holding her hands together in front of her.
"Ram-Ram!?" The other students exclaimed, shocked that a young hero would show up here. "Oh hello! Wonderful to meet you," she bowed, greeting them as they momentarily freaked out before bowing back.
"Hey hey! What're you doing here Aki? Where's Eri? Or Togata?" "They went to go see 1-A real quick, I was about to go see them, just wanted to see you first," Aki sheepishly explained, Testutestu suddenly appeared in front of the girls face making her lean back in surprise.
"Wait a second are you that girl Kirishima is always talking about!? The pretty red haired Ram girl that is Fatgums daughter!" Aki flushed hearing the red haired boys name.
"Well it's nice to know he thinks of me," she said happily, before looking at the clock, "I've gotta go, I hope everything goes good for you girls!" She cheered, waving as she walked out leaving the others stunned, "Why does Kirishima always get the good opportunities," Testutestu cried out, falling to his knees depressed that a beautiful girl like that was already taken by Kirishima.
~~~
"Hey! I'm not too late am I?" Aki called out, running up to the 1-A group. "Oh Ram-Ram! Welcome," Yamomo greeted, fiddling with her keyboard to make sure it was on the right setting. "We've still got about twenty minutes until we go on, Midoriya should've been back by now, he went to go get rope earlier," Kirishima mentioned, cheeks going a light pink at facing Aki again.
"Well I'm sure it'll be amazing, are you doing special affects?" Aki questioned, leaning close into Kirishimas personal space, "Y-Yeah, I hope you'll enjoy them," he smiled, running a hand through his hair. "HEY SHITTY HAIR, LETS GO WE AINT GOT ALL DAY!" Bakugou yelled out then realized Kirishima was talking to a girl.
"Hey Sheep Ass! What're you doing in here?! Don't be trying to pull anything dammit," Bakugou seethed, his teeth gritting together in annoyance of a new person.
"I was just wishing you guys luck," Aki began to ring her hands nervously, "Well we don't need luck! We'll kick ass either way dammit!" Bakugou exclaimed, getting in her face. Aki decided he needed to calm down and quit yelling.
Ramming her head into his stomach, Bakugou lurched forward coughing as he fell to the ground holding his stomach,"Damn Ram Bitch. What the fuck was that for," he gasped, rolling around on the floor in pain. "I didn't appreciate you being in my face," she calmly spoke, turning to Kirishima again who looked at her in awe at her strength.
"I'll leave you to it, you'll do amazing," her lips pressed to his cheek again, although this time they grazed the corner of his mouth slightly. Giggling she turned and left the room.
Silence ticked by for a second before Kirishima belted out, "GUYS THIS HAS TO BE AMAZING, TOP NOTCH MANLY," He hardened up without knowing, the others in the class around him sweat dropping at the sudden mood change.
~~~
As the curtains opened and a deafening explosion happened, Aki smiled as Jirou started her song, the dancers and musicians knocking it out of the ball park all at once.
The beat had Aki dancing in place, Togata laughing at her as Eri watched in surprise of Midoroiya dancing, well at least until he went off stage for some reason. "He left," "He'll be back, let's keep watching," Togata assured her, the music still blaring into their ears.
The song kept continuing to grow in progress when all of a sudden a lot of special effects went off, Uraraka swinging out to the crowd and lifting some audience members off the ground, one of them being Aki who laughed and brought Eri with her who couldn't hold it in any longer, throwing her arms out and laughing, a giant smile on her face. Aki and Togata had tears in their eyes as they smiled, knowing this young girl had finally broken free from her shackles of a pervious life. Aki hugged her tight before spinning in a circle with her, both girls laughing together in glee as Togata cheered them on. The song came to an end as the audience screamed and cheered, Aki and Eri now holding onto Togata as the three of them embraced in a hug. Eri had finally smiled and it made the two older ones warm with happiness.
As the gym filled out, the three met up with Midoriya on his way back in, Togata congratulating him on a job well done. "It was so crazy! First there was a loud sound and it was scary, but then everyone started jumping, even Aki was dancing and then Deku you went away for a little bit. But then there was a spinning guy and it started to get cold and I saw a lot of birds and people went "Wow" and you know what I said? Wow too!" Eri rambled on, her arms being thrown everywhere in excitement as Togata and Aki copied her from her side. "It was so much fun! Especially when Aki flew in the air with me and we danced," Eri stopped when she noticed Midioriya getting tears in his eyes, "I'm so glad you had fun Eri," this caused Eri to smile wide at him, Aki not able to hold it in anymore and swooped her up, spinning in circles as both girls laughed together. The boys looking on with their own smiles.
Heading outside, they met up with some of the boys that were melting the ice. "Ah dang this ice is too big, hey Bakugou can you-" "Kick Force!" A voice cut off Kaminari as a blur of red jumped in the air and came down on the giant block of ice, breaking it into little pieces. "Whoa!" Peoole passing by stopped and stared, Aki standing up and fixing her glasses. "Is this okay?" She asked, tilting her head with a smile.
"Hey its Ram-Ram!" "I didn't know she'd be here!" "She's so cute!" Voices came from behind her, causing her to turn over her shoulder and smile at the students and give a wave causing them all to flush red from the adorableness.
"Hey Aki! How'd you like the show?" Kirishima asked, hands on his hips, but he quickly put them put to catch Aki who jumped at him, landing in his arms as hers went around his neck that was turning red, "It was so amazing! The lighting, the music, the dancing, it was so beautiful! The affects were so awesome too! It was a rush of adrenaline for sure," Aki couldn't help but gush over the performance, Kirishima grinning and twirled her around, cheeks still flushed, "THAT'S GREAT! I'm so glad you guys enjoyed it! I did happen to catch you dancing a few moves too," he winked, catching her off guard but she laughed and nodded, finally getting set back in the ground.
Togata watched for a second before smirking, "You know we still have about two hours or so before the pagent, why don't you show Aki the rest of the festival Kirishima!" Aki and Kirishima turned bright red, but both agreed to it as the rest of the class came out to begin their own sight seeing if the festival too. Kirishima grabbed Aki's hand and began to drag her out of sight, she looked back over her shoulder to see Togata and Eri waving to her, both smiling as she disappeared from sight.
Both red heads walked around, looking at all the different food vendors and games, before coming upon the High Striker game, where you bring the hammer down to ring the bell and win a prize. They went to walk past it before Aki noticed fluffy Ram and Shark plushies. Kirishima looked to her and then the prizes before waking up to the student running it. "Hey dude! What do you have to do to win those two?" Pointing to the plushies Aki was eyeing. "You've gotta ring the high bell, you only get one try though," the student informed, gesturing to the tallest one they had which looked to be about fifty feet high. Kirishima grabbed the hammer, Aki stopping him momentarily, "You don't have to do that Kiri-Kun" she informed, but he shook his head, "It wouldn't be very manly of me to not win a pretty girl the plushies she wants, so just sit back and watch," he grinned at her before turning his attention to the game in front of him. He hardened his body as he swung the hammer up and brought it down full force, the little rod shooting straight up and knocking into the bell, denting it but ringing it nonetheless.
Aki cheered in amazement as Kirishima was handed the two plushies, the student behind the counter complaining to himself about needing a new bell now. Aki was handed both but then looked to Kirishima and handed him back the Ram one. "Seems only fair you get one too, right," she giggled, Kirishima smiling and nodding, taking Aki's free hand into his again as they continued down the path. Both could agree that this was probably the best day ever.
~~~
Standing at the gate to see the three off, Aki and Kirishima stared at each other for a minute before smiling softly to one another. "I'm glad you could join us, maybe you can come back another time?" Kirishima asked, hopeful he'd get to see her again, preferably outside of Work Studies and School. "Mmm, I don't know. I have my assignments and taking care of Eri too," Aki admitted, her purple eyes staring into his Ruby red eyes that were full of hope.
"Actually, I guess it's alright to tell you that you'll be seeing everyone alot more. We're planning on moving Eri into the dorms here, to keep a better eye on her and her progress with her quirk. Of course, her care taker is gonna have to be with her," Aizawas voice cut in, making both teens turn toward him in shock before turning back to each other.
Kirishima whooped and picked up Aki, spinning her around as they both laughed, setting her back in the ground, he blurted out, "Would you like to go out sometime?!" He realized what he said and burned red, but kept his eyes trained on her shocked face but she soon smiled shyly and nodded, "I'd love to, maybe you can show me a nice Cafe around here?" She asked, Kirishima nodding as he took out his phone to get her number so they can plan it for the day she comes back.
Aizawa and Togata watched the two as Midoriya and Eri said goodbye a little ways to the side, "I'm gonna regret this aren't I," Aizawa sighed, feeling the need to go to bed after such a long day, "Awe come on Eraser Head, it's cute," Aizawa merely shook his head, turning to walk off, "Some School Festival this turned out be," Togata only laughed and called out, "I'm pretty sure you mean Love Festival!"

Paring(s): Kageyama Tobio x Top Male Reader.
Warning(s): NSFW (SMUT), Cursing, Bottom Kageyama, etc etc.
DNI; if you use she/her pronouns.
________
Piercing blue eyes stared up at me with hesitation and determination, a usual combo if you ask me but the first year was practically shaking in his shoes as he opened his mouth every few seconds to peak, only to snap it back closed right after. "Relax Kageyama, there's no need to worry just take your time" I smiled, we had been standing here for a little while after practice ended cause Kageyama said he needed to speak to me, but the poor kid just couldn't utter out a single word. "Um Senpai I uhm-!" A sigh soon escaped past my parted lips, shaking my head slightly at the setter who merely tilted his head at me in confusion.
"Kageyama, you know you can just call me by my name right? I don't care much for the honorifics" I spoke softly, sending the shorter male a lazy smile as he nearly jumped out of his skin- for what reason I do not know but the sight of pink dusting over his cheeks clearly caught my attention. "Yes Senpai!" He shouted, causing me to sigh in defeat, we've been at the whole 'call me by my name' thing for a month or so now, but he is very insistent on calling me Senpai for some reason and unlike Tanaka and Noya, I don't have a thing for it. "Hey Kageyama if you don't mind could we take this to my house? I need to check on my sister before she heads off to a friends house since our parents are out for their anniversary" I asked, glancing towards my watch.
I swear Kageyama's ears burned as he swayed a bit at the mention of coming to my house, so in an attempt to steady him I reached out, gently taking his arms in my hands. "Whoa you okay there?" My tone dripped with worry while I looked him over, not noticing the way he shuffled closer, wrapping his fingers around the front of my shirt. "I-Im alright.." He muttered out with a silent gulp, it wasn't until his gaze met mine that I realized how close we were, "Right, yeah that's good" I whispered, feeling a sudden pull from the way he looked at me, blue eyes swirling with a wanting I haven't seen in a long time.
I couldn't help when my gaze shifted towards his lips, my own tongue unconsciously drawing over mine as I wondered how they'd taste. Nearly jumping from the sudden thought I pulled away from the first year, watching as he blinked himself out of the trance, and with a sheepish grin I scratched at the back of my head. "Anyways! Shall we get going?" Kageyama only nodded and followed along side me, while a pretty pink blush still adored his features, "You know you can tell me anything right? I won't laugh nor judge you" I spoke, hinting at earlier when he tried to tell me something.
Even though the sudden topic was to also keep my mind off what happened only moments ago, "I know it's just-" He quickly cut himself off, sending me a nervous glare before shifting it back towards the ground. Kageyama had been acting weird lately, well, only around me at least. I don't know if he thought I wouldn't notice, even though it's pretty hard not to, he always talked to me a bit more than the others, asking for me to practice with him when no one else could, he'd even show up to my last class and ask if I wanted to walk with him to the club room. However, he's distanced himself from me recently, he'd basically run away or make up some excuse to get away from me, but I've also realized that his face would flush whenever speaking to me, and that his gaze would linger on me a little longer then usual.
"It's alright you can take your time, I don't bite" Unless you want me too.
Shaking my head I quickly squashed the thought, as I walked up to my house, opening the door so Kageyama could walk through, "Th-Thank you" He muttered out, quickly shuffling inside. With a quiet chuckle I walked in after him, "You can head up to my room if you'd like, it's up the stairs, first door on the left" Kageyama just nodded and headed up stairs while I headed towards the kitchen, already knowing my sister would be in there, most likely eating away at the cake I made yesterday.
And turns out I was correct, cause there she is, hunched over the counter with a mouth stuffed with chocolate cake, getting crumbs all over her shirt, and being the lovely brother I am I just had to say something. "I don't think your girlfriend would want you to eat her out with cake all over your teeth" I spoke with a smile, trying not to laugh when she nearly choked on it, "You asshole! S-She's not my girlfriend!" Skyla gasped, trying to get some air back in her lungs while I dug my finger into the cake frosting, licking it off right after. "Hey you know I don't judge, but seriously I think you should brush your teeth first" I winced as she punched my shoulder, heavily glaring at me with her icy blue eyes.
"Don't talk to me like that when you brought a guy home! We both know what you're thinking about if its him" I merely rolled my eyes, as I remembered all the times I talked to her about Kageyama, it's pretty obvious that I like him by now and technically shes not exactly wrong. "Okay okay I get it, just run along now" I huffed, sending her a small smile as she grabbed her bag and ran out the door, while I made my way towards my room.
"Hey sorry for taking so long" I chuckled, shifting my gaze around the room only to find Kageyama's eyes widened, staring at me like a deer caught in headlights. He stood by my closet shirt discarded on the floor, only to be replaced by one of my hoodies that was way to big for him, he looked so small in my clothing, but so god damn adorable I had to turn away to cover the sudden blush that even caused my ears to burn. "Ah! S-Sorry! I'll-" I quickly cut him off my shutting my door with a little more force then I intended, "It's okay! No need to worry, anyways would you like to watch a movie or something?" I asked, quickly trying to change the topic before I did anything I might regret later.
Kageyama merely nodded his head, fumbling with the strings of my hoodie. After a few moments of awkward silence I got a movie on, deciding to pick 'Before I wake' since horror movies seem to keep me at peace, however Kageyama quickly sat next to me on the bed, shuffling so close he was practically in my lap, it's not that I minded it though. Yet when the first jump scare appeared he jumped into my lap, gripping on tightly to my shirt with his legs wrapped around my waist, nearly forcing a groan past my lips from the sudden pressure.
"Hey Kagey-"
"Tobio."
"Huh?" I blinked, hesitantly moving my hands to his waist to keep him in place. "C-Call me Tobio" He stuttered out, looking between my eyes as mine almost immediately moved to his lips, "Tobio.." I whispered, loving the way it rolled off my tongue, and apparently he loved it to, from the sudden shiver that ran down his spine, and the way his grip on me tightened. "Please [Y/n], please kiss me" He whimpered, as I captured his lips with mine, feeling the restraint leave my body at the sound of his moans. His fingers instantly wove through the back of my hair, tugging hard enough to where I couldn't help but groan while I dragged my tongue across his lower lip, pushing my tongue past his parted lips, earning a soft moan from the setter.
The heat of his mouth was to addicting, letting my tongue roll over his teeth and the roof of his mouth, causing him to grind his hips into my own. My mouth instantly latched onto his jaw as my hands moved to his hips, keeping the movement going just so I could hear the occasional whimpers that emitted from his throat against his will. "S-Senpai!" My eyes narrowed at the name, letting out a husky growl while I dragged my hand up his thigh and towards the waistband of his shorts. "C'mon Tobio, even now you decide against saying my name?" I hummed, pressing my lips to the spot behind his ear, feeling him shudder under my touch.
"I guess that's alright.." I smirked, running my hands under the oversized hoodie in order to pull it off him, letting it drop to the floor as I leaned forward, pressing Kageyama's back to the bed, "Cause I'll have you screaming it in no time." I didn't give him time to respond, catching any words he had with my lips, slowly gliding my hands up his athletic build, loving the way it felt beneath my finger tips. I couldn't help but lick my lips at the sight of him beneath me, it was something I definitely hoped I got to see more of, slowly I slipped my hand past the band of his shorts, running my fingers over his twitching cock that forced a shiver down his spine, causing my pants to tighten uncomfortably from the intoxicating sight.
"O-Off" He whimpered, tugging at the bottom of my shirt which I gladly pulled off, watching as his eyes took in every detail of my upper body, those beautiful piercing blue eyes now darkened with desire, a desire I happily shared. With a lazy smirk I brought three fingers towards his lips, narrowing my eyes as he happily took them in his mouth, slowly dragging his tongue up my middle finger, letting my mind wonder what it would feel like to have my cock in his mouth instead. With a quick shake of my head I pulled my fingers away to tug off his shorts, throwing them somewhere in the corner of my room.
We could do that some other time.
Bringing my lips to his ear I kissed it softly, resting my other hand on his hip, "This'll hurt a bit alright? I'll move when you're ready" Kaageyama merely nodded, eagerly bucking his hips up in anticipation that caused me to chuckle softly until I pressed my middle finger to his entrance, slowly sliding it in. Kageyama's nails dug into the skin on my back, letting out soft whimpers as I kissed his forehead and his lips, trying to distract him from the feeling, which seemed to work since he wiggled around, letting out a breathy moan. Carefully I started to pump my finger inside him, trying to be gentle since it seemed like his first time, "M-More!" He whimpered, dragging his nails down my back in a slow motion that forced a groan past my parted lips. Granting his wish I slipped in another finger, moving them in a scissoring motion that caused him to cry out, and soon enough I found the special spot I was looking for that had him screaming.
Pulling my fingers out I ignored his disappointed whine and unbuckled my pants, pull them off along with my boxers, only for Kageyama to wrap his leg around my hip in attempt to pull me closer to him, "H-Hurry." His plea sounded like music to my ears, loving the way he begged for me to take him and for a moment I thought about teasing him, but quickly pushed the thought away as I pushed my cock inside him, groaning at the way his walls tightened around me."S-Senpai!" He gasped out, taking in deep breaths in order to calm himself down while my eyes darkened from the name, "Pl-Please move.." He whined, trying to move but my grip on his hips tightened, keeping him in place.
"What's my name?"
My voice deepened as I spoke, earning a moan from the setter beneath me, desperately trying to get some sort of friction, but I wouldn't allow it until he complied. "[Y-Y/n] please.." With a satisfied smirk I slowly rocked my hips, giving him the pleasure he was begging for while I pressed my lips to his neck, biting softly at the side of his neck before my hands moved under his thighs, pushing them forward so I could get more access inside him. The sudden movement forced a small whimper to emit from his throat, but it was when I hit his prostate that he arched his back, screaming out my name as his nails dug deeper into my skin.
Keeping a mental note of where it is, I repeatedly hit that spot, while letting out soft moans of my own as his walls tightened around me, drawing my climax closer, so with that thought in mind I wrapped my hand around Kageyama's cock, pumping it slowly while running my thumb over the slit. "[Y/N]! F-Faster! Pl-please, I'm close!" Kageyama pleaded, moving his hips in rhythm with mine as I smirked down at him, taking in the details of his sweat drenched hair that clung to his face, his eyes snapped closed tightly, as his body shuddered beneath me when I picked up the pace, slamming into him just to hear those sweet high pitched whimpers.
"[Y/n]!" He screamed, while his nails pierced the skin on my back, but I didn't mind it much as he cummed in my hand. "Just a little more" I groaned feeling my own orgasm draw closer, with a heavy breath I moved to pull out, just to feel Kageyama's legs keep me in place, "C-Cum inside.." He stuttered, hair bouncing with every thrust I made until I finally stopped when I came inside him, sending a shudder through his body once more as my muscles tensed.
I fell beside him since I didn't want to crush him under my weight, trying to steady my breathing before turning my gaze back towards him. "Are you okay?" My voice was barley above a whisper, and luckily he still managed to hear me, "I-Ive been wanting.. To do that for so long" He chuckled in a breathy tone, opening his eyes a bit to smile at me. My heart fluttered in my chest and I drew him closer to me, letting him cuddle up against me even though my body feels all nasty and sweaty.
"Do you want to wait or take a shower now?" I groaned, pressing my nose into his hair.
"Mm, later.."
With a final nod I kissed his forehead, wrapping my arms around his waist protectively, "You're mine now."
"I was hoping you'd say that.."

Ring of Fire - Alex Mason X Reader
Mason saves you from an apartment fire. Are you happy? No. But, did you just meet a very attractive man? Yes.
TW: Strong language, fire, eventual fluff!
Tumblr media
"Alex Mason! Meet me in my office please!' Is what Mason heard after a long, hard, and hot training.
Mason felt anxiety by the way his drill sergeant spoke to him like that. So, Mason hauled ass to the office, and stood professionally until the drill sergeant finally came in.
"Ma'am" Mason said with confidence, in attention.
"At ease Lieutenant. Now, take a seat. I have something to discuss with you." She said, sitting down and pulling a file out.
Mason took a seat, and watched her pull a thick, yellowish file from her desk. She opened it and layed out several pieces of paper in front of Mason so he could see everything. He took a closer look and saw something for the local fire department, a look of confusion clouded his face.
"Lieutenant Mason, you are being asked to take part in giving a hand to the Fair Banks Fire Department. Their chief has been layed off for a while due to a recent building fire, and they need men. And you just so happen to be the perfect candidate for helping out!" The drill sergeant said, pulling out a cigarette.
Mason was hesitant, he didn't know how to feel. He was afraid that he might fuck up and get someone hurt. Or worse, killed. But, he already worked in that part of the field. One mistake and it means death.
"Drill Sergeant Rivers, I don't have the proper training for this kind of thing. So why am I being picked?" He questioned.
She hit her cigarette and exhaled. She shot a glaring look back at him, while reaching for a pen nearby.
"Mason, they wouldn't just send you in with no training. They are offering on the job skills training and certification. You provide won't even be working there for very long anyways, they just need help until the Chief comes back. So that means, you'll be chief Alex Mason for a whole three months!" Rivers spoke, ashing her cigarette.
Rivers slid him a pen, and gave a devious smile. She pointed to the words on the contract as she spoke.
"We'll still be paying what you make here hourly, and they will also pay you for the position. You'll receive a work vehicle, and housing options if you are interested. But, if you will, please sign here, and here. And then finally, date this at the bottom."
Mason sighed, and grabbed the pen.
"I really hope this isn't a stupid idea, Drill Sergeant Rivers. I'll still have my position here in the Marines, right?" Mason asked.
"Of course, Lieutenant. You are the best of the best. Besides, I don't think Frank would last very long without you." She said with a chuckle.
Mason signed the papers, and slid them back over to Rivers. She quickly and carefully tucked them away safely into the left pocket of the folder, and set it off to the side.
"Thank you, Mason. The Fire Department is going to welcome you with open arms, and everyone is going to greatly appreciate what you are doing. Now, why don't you get on out of here and head over to the Fire Department. The director is anticipating your arrival at 0700 hours. You are dismissed."
Mason stood up, and quickly saluted Rivers. He turned on his heel, and gathered his things. Woods come up to him and patted his back. Mason looked back at Frank.
"Man, what was that about? Sounded like you were in some hot ass water. Did she find out about last weeks breakout?" Woods asked with a smirk.
Mason slapped him, and told him to stay quiet. Mason rolled his eyes, and started walking. Woods followed close.
"No, she didn't. I actually have gotten assigned to something new all together, but just for 6 months. So it looks like you'll be a lone wolf until I get back." Mason said.
"Wait, where in the fuck are you going? And when the hell are you comin' back??" Frank asked as they stepped into the elevator.
Mason clicked up, and the doors shut. It took them up to ground parking.
"I'm filling in for a Fire Chief for a while, I got personally hand picked for the job is what I got told."
"Well brother, you can't argue with that. We are still gonna have boys night on Friday's, right?" Frank asked, before getting out at where the elevator stopped.
Mason laughed, and nodded.
"Of course man, as always. Bring a 30 pack this time!" He shouted to Frank as the door closed.
"My ass!" Frank called out.
Mason patiently waited as it took him up. The elevator dinged, and the doors opened. He walked to his pickup truck and got in. He slammed his door shut and laid his head back onto his seat.
'I hope I don't fuck up.' Was all he repeated to himself.
Months later......
Mason was heading to his office with a newly made friend, Dixon. Dixon was a higher up who worked with everyone, so he frequented Mason. They had coffee in hand, and were ready for safety reports.
"Oh shit, Dix. Do you remember any information on the structure at the controlled burn on the corner of Euclid and Odin we did? I need details for my JHA but I can't recall shit for some fucked reason." Mason asked as they both sat down.
"I can tell you that it had 5 stories, and over 50 apartments in it. Oh, it stood next to Crane Run Bakery. The ignition was faulty wiring, right?" Dixon responded.
"No, it was a gas line pipe. The faulty wiring happened at that bowling alley on Curtis Avenue. But thank you, hopefully I can get this JHA filled out how I should!" Mason said.
Dixon went on with Mason for about 30 minutes about baseball and football. Mason filled out his paperwork, ordered new parts for gear and trucks, and inspected everything with a fine tooth comb. It was a normal night shift for the fire crew, until the alarm system began to wail.
"We have a structure fire on Linden Ave, at 26435 Linden. Possible civilians trapped." Dispatch called through the speakers.
Within minutes, the whole shift was suited up and already in the truck and headed Northbound. Mason was behind the wheel, lights and sirens at full blast. The roads were dead at this time, minus the few cars that happened to be out at 2 AM.
"Dispatch, tell me what we're looking at. I have another truck enroute to said location, and about three ambulances. How high are flames?" Mason asked, keeping his eyes on the road.
"Dispatch here, we have flames about 20 feet up and rising. Recommend you get here quick."
"10-4." Mason responded.
They reached the fire within minutes. When they pulled up the fire was quickly engulfing anything in it's way. Mason knew what needed to be done. But right now, they needed a buidling sweep for any possible trapped people.
"Dixon, set up a crew to stay on hoses, bring about four out and hookup. My team, your with me! We are going in!" Mason said.
Mason put on his face gear, and quickly looked around for a way in. He spotted a perfect way in through a safe looking way. He quickly pointed his team that direction, and headed in. He always made sure to go ahead of his crew so he could determine what was happening.
He got in, midst the hot heat, heavy flames, and the small mist screen of water he'd feel periodically. He lead the way, and began to check every corner and possible place to hide he could. They swept the buidling for a grand total of 30 minutes before Mason determined it was clear.
"Head back everyone. Everything is clear, no indication of anyone." Mason said through the radio.
Everyone headed outside, Mason being left so he could check more. By now, the flames were out. The only thing left was smoking ruble and hot ashes. Mason carefully looked around, and looked even closer at a piece of burnt wood that was beginning to move.
Without thinking, he pulled it back, and revealed a small door that had shut, but by either luck or circumstance, hadn't been burned. Mason soon heard pounding on the metal door, and he went to open it. But it was behind blocked by something.
He struggled to open it completely, the pounding was now more frequent. He pulled with all his might, but it wouldn't budge. He could hear the sounds of a female crying, and begging for the door to be opened. Mason's adrenaline kicked in at this moment.
"I found a live one! Bring in a large ax for me, this damn for isn't opening!" Mason shouted into the radio.
"Miss, I'm going to need you to step away as far as you can from the door! We are going to cut it open! Shield your face until I get you!" Mason yelled.
He took out his small ax, and began to chop away at the hinges. But, the small ax could stand no chance against the hard metal. Instead, he quickly turned and saw Dixon with the industrial ax. He took it, and with brute strength, he swung done with control and accuracy.
The hinges slowly began to break away, until finally the door popped right off. Mason gave the ax back, and quickly threw the door off. He looked back down inside, and saw a girl about his age, coughing her lungs out. He wasted no time, and held his hand out.
She took it, and Mason lifted her out. He quickly adjusted her so she'd be against his back, to where he kept a good grip on her and carried her out. She was covered in black ash and soot, and was damp with water and sweat from the heat.
Once they were out, Mason quickly sat the girl on the gurney and took his respirator off. He secured it around her face, and up to her mouth and nose. The fresh oxygen would help her with breathing, seeing as if her lungs just went through extreme stress.
"Are you alright? Is there anybody else down in that basement?" Mason asked once her breathing returned to normal.
She looked at him, and slipped the mask off.
"No, it was just me. I was just trying to do my laundry for work, and that's when the door slammed shut and I couldn't get out....."
Mason felt a pang in his heart for this beautiful lady.
"Well, you are alright now. We are going to have EMS check you out, and ride you to the hospital to run standard tests." Mason said, giving a smile.
He took his respirator back and turned on his heels. He walked away to regroup with his crew, and Dixon. They cleaned up best they could, and headed back to the station for a shower and change of clothes.
Months After....
Mason sat in the town sqaure, drinking a coffee in his uniform. He was sat on one of the square benches, reading the paper as he waited on Woods. It was Friday, they were going to play poker after a long, exhausting week.
"Excuse me, sir? May I sit with you?" A voice said.
Mason looked up from his paper, and confusion hit him. A familiar looking face flooded his view, but he just couldn't place it. Her face had small bandaids, and a few purple bruises.
"Well, of course. Do I know you?" He questioned.
She sat down, only then did Mason notice the green box in her beat up hands.
"My name is Y/N Y/L/N, you actually saved my life in a fire on Linden street, I talked to a man named Dixon at the fire house to where I could find you.....I have something for you here." She said, handing it to him.
"No Miss, I can't take that. I was just doing my job, I don't need a reward. Seeing you alive and breathing is reward enough." Mason said.
She pushed the small box towards him. The smile on her face was warm, and made Mason feel butterflies.
"Please, I insist." Was all she said.
Mason took the box and opened the lid. Inside was a beautifully made chocolate cake, all kinds of different snacks, and a check of $15,000 dollars.
"Miss, no, I can't. This is way too much money, I will not take it." Mason said, putting it back.
"Please sir, I don't mind. I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for you. It would mean so much to me. If anything, please donate it to your firehouse." Y/N said.
"I will do just that then. We've been needing new parts for months...."
Mason looked back up at Y/N, and smiled.
"I'm Alex Mason by the way, I'm glad to see you are recovering well. Maybe I could take you to dinner sometimes?" He asked slyly.
You chuckled, and nodded.
"Of course, I'd love that.

A/N: I ACCIDENTALLY DELETED THE DRAFT AND THEREFORE THE ASK WAS ALSO DELETED, IM SORRY— alright, hopefully you'll enjoy this nonetheless, thanks for asking! I'll try to find the person who asked for this prompt later.
And so, this ask is Raihan x Female! Reader, the prompt is displayed above.
━─━─━━─━「₪」━━─━─━─━
You sip your bottled tea as you watched Raihan battle the opposing gym challenger from the bleachers; to say you're amused was an understatement. The dragon tamer never ceased to amaze you everytime he's in a battle, regardless if he reigns victorious or fell down in the depths of defeat— his match is always wild, numerous of fans shouting for his side as he let the sandstorm take over the stadium, enveloping it in a rough weather.
The fans were alright though considering the stadium was perfectly designed for these type of things, protecting the said viewers from the harsh effects of the weather— which Raihan takes pride in, looking at how his technique consist of taking advantage of the weather to boost his pokemons powers.
This is what makes you baffled with his performance every time. Even if you already became a Champion that rules over Galar, you didn't look down on him, and you're not planning to.
Occasionally, the dragon tamer would lock eyes with you, sending chills down your spine as his cerulean eyes stare right through you, followed by that signature smug grin of his in which his fans has grown a liking to. You gave him a gesture of support by clenching your hands accompanied by a determined look on your eyes. He noticed your small action and gave you a thumbs up before focusing on the match infront of him once again.
Some fans mistaken it as him looking at them, and they immediately melted on the spot due to that misunderstanding. Though you didn't pay any mind to it, you dont want to ruin people's happiness anyways, just let them be.
After the earthshaking match, which Raihan managed to reign victorious, he gave a hug to the challenger, and telling them that there were no hard feelings involved. Luckily for him, the challenger was still determined to try harder for a rematch in the near future, and they can ensure Raihan that they'll be the one taking victory home next time they meet.
Raihan saw that as a challenge and he's going to get stronger, he wants to give his best at every match, that's his job after all. Losing just wont do for him.
When all of that commotion ended, you approached the said dragon tamer with a smile dancing on your lips and arms open wide, incase he wanted a good ol' hug after the match.
You know him so well, of course he wanted a hug, and its from you— you.. you're his crush, not that you know it, its a new thing for him too. He took an interest on you when he saw you battle at the Championship Cup, reaping the victory without any effort; you're strong, you're tough, you're more than what you seem, and Raihan liked that part of you.
Though on other times, you're also clumsy, careless, and mostly oblivious. These trait of yours just amplified your attractiveness level to Raihan; strong and oblivious usually doesn't match with eachother, yet you managed to make them mix well, creating... you.
"Good job on the victory!"
You planted your face on his chest, burying your head in the warm feeling of his hoodie, and trying your best not to get tiny little sand stuck in your head. It'll be a pain in the ass to clean up later if you did. Your arms wrapped around his lean waist, hugging him as tight as you could to show him your affection.
Raihan responded well by hugging you back and ruffling your hair, saying a light 'thanks' along the way. Maybe without your support, he would've lost this round, and other rounds from before— no matter, he should just focus on the present, where you're hugging him in the middle of the stadium... infront of his assistants. Not to mention Leon is also watching, accompanied by chairman Rosé.
The dragon tamer then pulled back after awhile, he knows this affectionate act of yours doesn't have any meaning behind it. Just a hug you gave to your bestie after his gruelling match; it has became a habit at this point, and you didn't even notice that. Raihan did though, he paid attention on every little details about you. From the way you dressed, to the way your expression changes over the time, that even he notices the smallest shift in your mood during the day.
Silence began spreading between you both, and its getting kind of uncomfy. So you decided to break away the tension by helping him dusting off the sand on his body, and his features. The amount was quite a lot, and it's going to take awhile if you really want to remove all of the tiny bits of sand from the previous match. You even thought about suggesting him to not use the sandstorm weather next time, it's really getting troublesome and somewhat irritating to handle. At least for you.
"Stay still im helping you clean up" you said as you reached for his headband. He didn't want any help in cleaning up this time, considering that Leon is here, and few of his assistants—lets not forget about chairman Rosé whos observing from the sidelines, possibly being held captive by Oleana because of work reasons.
Raihan then gripped your arm as he tilted his head a little bit back, preventing you from reaching his tangerine headband "No need princess, i can clean it up by myself" he grinned, trying to hide the embarrassment thats slowly growing inside him.
Sure he might be a man of confidence, pride swelling on his chest with each step that he takes, but the poor dragon tamer only could handle so much when it comes to you. All that pride and confidence washed away just like that, and thats all because of your damned adorable oblivious trait.
You were determined to take off his headband, even if that means you need to use all off your techniques on him. This time, you only relied on your obliviousness. You really dont know what effect it has on him— you didn't even know if your oblivious trait has an effect on him at all! But you saw him blushing a few times from you being genuinely curious about something, so its worth a try.
Raihan was completely caught of guard when he looked down at you and your determined eyes; it was different from before where you're supporting him, he cant tell whats really different, but it just hits diffrent. You reaching up with Raihan gripping your wrist, warm eyes locking with his followed by a small curl on the edge of your lips as you felt him slowly reducing his strength in the effort to prevent you reach for his headband.
This only resulted in him looking away, blush subtly creeping on his cheeks as he tried to avoid eye contact with you. The Great Raihan would never be embarrassed in such a situation, hell, he'd be the one to make you embarrassed! But this time, apparently the odds were in your side , and you're grateful for that.
The thing you didn't understand was; why is he blushing? You didn't do anything, you only tried to take off his headband in order to clean it, and yet when he locked eyes with you, a tint of blush appeared on his chocolate skin, in which he attempted to hide it by looking at anywhere but towards your direction. This was a great opportunity to make him blush more, dont you think? Its rare to see Raihan blush out of nowhere, and you got to see it up close! A way great opportunity, you couldn't bear to pass this chance.
With a gentle push forwards from your body and him being off guard, you two tumbled down to the ground below you with a loud 'thud' ; Raihan covered your fall by pulling you close to his chest, which makes you comfortably land on his body instead.
"Honestly," you trailed as you got up from your position, lifting your body up with your hands on each side of Raihan's head before looking down onto him with a joyful grin plastered on your face "You're cute when you blush, Rai" you chirped, followed by a soft laugh. The position you guys were in wasn't quite the best to see without context. But you couldn't care less, you two were only having a wholesome bestie moment— yet Raihan might be freaking out inside because, oh Arceus, what is he gonna explain to Leon and the Chairman himself? Him blushing just makes it worse and doesn't help him out at all.
His eyes finally dared to look into yours again while a sigh slipped past his lips "You're just teasing me," he exclaimed as his lips curl into his usual relaxed smile; shades of blush still not leaving his face "Again." He added, hands reaching up to pull you back down onto his body, loving the way you fit inside his embrace just perfectly. He's way taller than you, meanwhile you could be accused of 'tiny' compared to him. Thats why he liked hugging you so much, even if you're just teasing him.
He doesn't care if you know his feelings or not, he's just happy that he could hold you like this without any care in the world right after his tiring match. Though he still does have a lot of explaining to do the the Chairman later, and possibly to Leon too.

The Auction
Tumblr media
Pairing: Sam Winchester/Dean Winchester
Rating: Explicit
Word Count: 2209
Summary: This is about what happens when Dean finds his brother tied up suggestively.
AO3
@@@@@
Agent Clegg is the Butterfly.
Sam curses himself for not realizing that.
Forcing wrists, chest, and ankles against leather in the last few minutes hasn't been effective. Still, Sam tries again.
Clegg sells people to monsters, sex slaves to be exact. And Sam will be next if Dean doesn't find him in time.
The transmission begins as soon as the computer and cameras are ready.
Sam keeps struggling with the bonds, despair preventing him from accepting the inevitable without a fight. Or he tries at least.
When the Butterfly announces his name, Sam feels his heart in his throat. The number of monsters bidding for him is frightening, and he can't help thinking about how sick it all is, even more when it only takes a few minutes for Sam to be sold. He can see on the computer screen that the bidder is a vampire, and the amount to be paid is impressive. But it's not comforting at all.
Clegg seems satisfied with the result, a sardonic smile on his face as he approaches Sam, and his breathing quickens, which doesn't help the clenching fear in his gut.
"It's time to show everyone that you're worth every penny," Clegg says while he starts undoing his belt.
Sam knows what's going to happen.
"Sorry, kid. It's showtime."
He pulls on the bonds with force, inevitable survival instinct forcing his body to go on alert. And that's when the door opens with a bang.
A shot echoes in the room. The man doesn't even see what hits him, falling to the floor like a sack of potatoes.
Sam blinks a few times before his brain realizes he is safe. Dean found him in time.
"Sammy! Are you okay? What the Hell is going on here?"
Sam wants the safety of his brother's arms around him, but this isn't the right place for it. Then he forces himself to respond in the most stable voice he can muster, "Sex, they're auctioning people off for sex. And there is a demonstration before."
A demonstration is what Agent Clegg was starting to do when Dean interrupted him.
Sam sees anger on his brother's face. He knows that if the man weren't already dead he would suffer a painful death at Dean's hands again. The sharp look also checks Sam before looking around, eyes staring straight at the cameras.
"The damn freaks are watching, huh?"
"Yes," Sam answers, then remembering the vulnerability of his situation, tied to a table similar to those for gynecological examination and naked from the waist down, ass on display.
"Turn off the cameras and untie me," he says, forcing the bonds on his arms and legs again still without any result.
Dean seems to come out of his trance, "What?"
His brother's look changes to something predatory and dark as soon as he realizes Sam's condition.
"No," Dean says.
"Dean? What the fuck, man?" Sam struggles again, which is useless because there is no escape.
Dean puts his gun on the table next to Sam, and if he could get that, he wouldn't hesitate to shoot his big brother right now.
"At least once in your life, stop thinking with your cock," Sam's voice is strident, reflecting the hysteria he feels.
"C'mon, Sammy, it's going to be fun."
His brother takes off his coat and tie. There is no doubt that Dean is impressive like that, intent on devouring Sam all over his face. And Sam likes the feeling of helplessness every time they use handcuffs or ropes in sex. But the timing is wrong, not to mention that everything is being streamed online.
"Let me go, Dean," he tries again.
His brother's expression is one that not even ten vampires could dissuade him from his goal, however. Determination is one of Dean's most significant personality traits, one that Sam has to deal with and often fight against to maintain some of his own independence.
Green eyes fix on Sam's ass, hungry and appraising, and it makes him feel like an offering at an altar of sacrifices.
When agile fingers open the leather holding Sam's chest and the buttons on his white shirt, pushing it to the side and leaving his belly and chest exposed, he knows that Dean won't give up.
"You'll need your shirt clean to get out of here," Dean states the obvious.
"C'mon, Dean. Be reasonable."
The smirk on Dean's face isn't reasonable at all.
His brother kneels where Sam's ass is at the edge of the table, and the next protest dies with the first lick over his hole. The hands on Sam's buttocks are cold, but the heat on Dean's tongue is abrasive.
"Oh, God…"
Sam's attempt to prevent his moans is pathetic, and this is all because of the tongue assaulting him. Rimming is one of his weaknesses, and his idiot of a brother knows that very well.
"Sammy, we're tough guys, and people are watching us," Dean interrupts what he's doing, a smirk playing on his wet lips. And fuck, Sam wants that mouth back on his ass, consequences be damned. After almost being raped by Clegg, he deserves a great orgasm.
"Monsters, Dean. They are mons—"
Dean licks and sucks again. Sam's coherence disappears. His big brother has his face tucked between his asscheeks, fucking him mercilessly with that sinful tongue. Sam's cock goes from limp to erect so fast that it makes him dizzy. He'd no idea how much he’s needed it until now, still knowing he'll complain because of the burn caused by Dean's stubble afterward.
Sam loves and hates that Dean can reduce him to a moaning mess with just his tongue. He doesn't even want to imagine what those people watching are thinking of him. Then he remembers they are monsters and it doesn't matter anymore.
Dean goes for it, licking and sucking, and Sam squirms his hole against the long organ. He needs Dean deeper and tries to show what he wants without having to express it out loud.
The tongue disappears then, making Sam groan in frustration.
"Do you want anything, Sammy?" Dean gives him a leering look.
Fucker. His brother has no right to know him so well and take advantage of him on top of that.
"No," he lies.
"Are you sure?" The little shit licks his lips suggestively.
And Sam needs that tongue back. He pulls his arms and legs, causing only the leather to rub against his sensitive skin.
"Please, Dean."
"What?" His big brother has an irritating smirk on his face.
"Deeper," it is whispered.
"I didn't hear that," the bastard insists.
"I need you to eat me deeper."
This time Sam sees the numbers on the computer screen increase rapidly, even though the auction is over.
"Do you love it? Don't you? Your big brother's tongue fucking your sweet hole?"
A finger touches the wrinkled skin, which makes Sam more desperate for Dean's tongue.
"Please..." He begs, to Hell with his remaining dignity.
A huge satisfied smile is the last thing Sam sees before Dean's tongue goes back to his hole. His brother laps at his entrance and Sam moans at how good it feels. Closing his eyes, Sam focuses on the sensations and how hot and soft Dean's tongue is. Step by step, he falls apart. And as always, Dean makes him come quickly and intensely, heat invading his body until it ends in white drops over his belly and chest.
When he can open his eyes again, he sees the mess he made on his own skin. So, the restrictions on his arms and ankles no longer bother him, and he remains passive on the table.
"Fu-ck."
"I'll get there," Dean jokes, getting back on his feet.
The swollen lips and saliva on it shouldn't be that sexy. Sam stares up at his big brother with half-lidded eyes while a hand collects some of the semen on his skin.
"It's not the best lube, but it's still better than spit," Dean says while doing a quick job with the improvised lube. The next thing Sam feels is his brother's cock against his entrance.
"De..." His vocal cords are still not working properly after a mind-blowing orgasm.
"Relax, Sammy. You just have to stay there, pretty and calm, and I'll do all the work."
What an idiot. As if Sam has another option at the moment.
When Dean pushes in, his muscles resist a little before giving in and receiving the big cock easily.
"Fuck, Sammy, so good."
Without being in a position to do anything, Sam just groans in response, his limp member trying to get hard again prematurely. The impulses start as soon as Dean is buried to the hilt, one hand gripping Sam's waist. And it makes him think of the helplessness of his situation. Dean is free to do whatever he wants with him, and while it is scary, there is also excitement with all the possibilities available.
"I love feeling your slutty hole around my cock."
Dean can't keep his mouth shut during sex, but Sam likes it because it's familiar, even when the lines sound like the worst kind of porn.
"You're so fucking tight. It doesn't feel like you take it up the ass on a regular basis."
"Shut up, Dean," Sam says, mainly because those freaks watching them don't need all the details about their sex life.
Dean raises an eyebrow at the unusual order, but he shut up. As a result, hips increase their speed, and all becomes pounding skin, a repetition of moans and grunts, and even some incoherent cries, which Sam will deny later, of course.
Suddenly he realizes that Dean is so fucking deep, filling spaces that should never be empty. He feels split open and belonged, so entirely that everyone watching can see it on his face probably. They won't have any doubts about who owns him. And Dean shows his dominance with each hard thrust, the unquestionable control over Sam's body. So, it's inevitable for Sam to give everything he has, his body and his submission to Dean. No restrictions. No boundaries. What they can't see, though, is that Dean also owns his heart, always and forever.
A second orgasm breaks through Sam's body, unexpected and just as intense as the first. His scream isn't manly at all, and a smile lights up his big brother's face, but Dean doesn't say anything, just pushing towards his own orgasm, eyes fixed on Sam's.
He marvels at the fervor he witnesses, and then heat invades his interiors. Dean screams his name with a passion, reaffirming the unbreakable bond that connects them. He closes his eyes and gets lost in the pleasure still running through his body, never wanting it to end, but the sound of gunshots brings him back to reality, making him open his eyes. Sam then realizes that Dean pulled out of him, picked up his gun, and is destroying the cameras installed in the room.
"Show's over," Dean says in his usual hunter way.
"Jesus Christ, Dean! Can you untie me now?" The awareness of his state returns with full force.
"Maybe," Dean says, a devilish grin on his face.
"Dean!" Sam hopes to be showing all the indignation that he feels right now.
"Just kidding, dude."
Dean turns his attention to him and in seconds Sam is free. His movements aren't as fast as he would like, but he manages to button his shirt and get off the table without help, despite the pain radiating from his ass to his legs. Semen is definitely discarded as lube.
As soon as Sam puts on his underwear, the door opens again with a bang. And this time it's Donna with a gun in her hand.
"Sam? Dean?"
Dean walks in front of Sam, hiding his half-naked body from Donna.
"Oh, my God! Are you okay, Sam?"
Dean answers for him, "He's fine. I got here in time. When he's dressed, we'll meet you outside."
'Okay' is all Sam hears before the door closes softly.
Blushing, Sam puts on his pants as fast as he can.
"If she paid attention to your open belt and the lack of his coat and tie, she knows, you moron."
Donna is a police officer, and Sam does not doubt that it was easy for her to deduce what actually happened here.
Dean looks at him, his characteristic smirk—and annoying by the way—on his face. "She accepted monsters were real, so I don't think kink sex between brothers is going to be a problem at all."
"Do you have to say it that way, Dean? Now I feel dirty."
Sam ends with his belt, breathing relieved by the feeling of security that the clothing offers him.
"Nothing that a bath won't fix, bitch," Dean laughs.
"Jerk," he can't resist and ends up laughing too.
"C'mon show is over. For real this time," his big brother says.
Presentable again, they walk to the door, Dean leading the way.
"I think we should buy a table like that, Sammy."
"Absolutely not," it's his automatic response.
With one last look at the table, Sam leaves the room. And maybe he has to agree that Dean's idea is interesting.
Maybe.

In defense of bill denbrough
I don't have the room for screenshots (I tried to make them a gif of a slideshow but it kept crashing Tumblr bc huge files) but I'll sum up a few things I want to clear up in this
People thinking that Bill chose to be in charge of the losers to be bossy
Him wanting to leave Eddie in the sewers just because
That he was selfish
That he didn't have important problems ig?? Or that his story was uninteresting??
I want to talk about his perseverance despite a bad home life
And how the losers love him, if the losers you love can love him, you can too
And my last point is about how most people think somehow that Bill would be at all discriminatory??
I have bits and pieces from the book for all the claims and more coming below; I reread the whole book for this but kept what seemed most important to bring up
Tumblr media
First; I'm going to start with how Bill didn't actually choose to be in charge, he didn't want to boss people around. It was clear in him and also sometimes noticed by the other losers, notably Eddie:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Eddie notices twice that the whole leadership thing is taking a major toll on Bill's physical and emotional health. That and Bill doesn't want to be the planner and the leader. He thinks he's a freak and he doesn't think he knows what he's doing. They nominated him as leader from a young age. He couldn't control that. (In order to preserve image quality and go into more detail on specific screenshots I will be making individual metas on each of my bullet points, this is just the large post where I vent my issues with the fandom perception)
Next I'd like to debunk the assumption that Bill wanted to leave Eddie in the sewers. He didn't, he wanted to come out alive with the others who still had a chance at making it. If you want further to analyze this, it can be brought up that Richie and Bev didn't want Bill to take Audra's alive body from the sewers despite us all saying Bill is the asshole for not being able to carry Eddie out.
Tumblr media
In fact, Bev and Ben were the ones to originally suggest leaving Eddie. And to further that, Bev yelled at Bill for trying to get the living human out as well. Bev's motivations were more rushed and selfish, but Bill had the overarching goal of getting them all out.
That segways nicely into a point I'd like to make about how Bill genuinely was the most determined to kill It and not just for his own reasons, he thought of the other kids who might die several times while the other losers like to gloss over that:
When Richie went to go see the horror picture, he decided to pretend Bill's fingers hadn't almost been cut off. Put it off as a joint hallucination. And direct quote "besides there was no law saying he had to spend the next ten years thinking about it, was there? Nope"
If Bill hadn't pleaded with Richie to help, Richie would have had no intention of trying to get rid of It and save the other kids, even after Richie had to watch his friend get injured firsthand.
Stan was the same, not wanting to end up in the "nuthouse" on juniper hill. But Bill's motivation to save the town pulled even the most hesitant losers in to help.
And it's not just saving the kids from pennywise. No, he initiated a fight with Bowers not even knowing that his friends would join him and help, all to help a kid that he didn't even know. Mike Hanlon.
Tumblr media
Not only was he the most determined, but in regards to pennywise trauma, he already had something very lasting to deal with as far as his mental health. His parents were neglectful and his brother was dead, and he kept on trying regardless. He was depressed, which is very clear in the book.
There's the point when he's getting Eddie's inhaler and it states "just as if Ben would be astounded if you asked him if he was lonely, Bill would have been likewise astounded if asked if he was courting death."
The narration makes it abundantly clear that Ben is lonely and always has been, which symbolises here that Bill is clearly suicidal, even if not actively, he does try to die/do things to harm himself with no intention of stopping.
Tumblr media
This passage was heartbreaking. His fear in this scene was that everyone would forget about him, like his parents did, and like Georgie was gone. It's all his fault, he decides, and he thinks he deserves to be punished but he's still fully terrified of what he thinks he deserves.
In that note, his parents were neglectful, which affected him consistently in his thought process.
He wouldn't finish dinner because he couldn't stand to sit with them when they were so cold with him.
Mike mentions as adults that Bill practiced that poem so much because Bill wanted so badly for his mom to think he's a good boy. Bill cried at this, again as an adult.
He wanted to take pennywise's severed head to his parents and talk about how he'd avenged Georgie and "would they please finally talk to him"
He even thinks one point about how his parents are so caught up in their grief that he wonders if they know he's hurting, or if he's being reckless.
But unlike Sharon and Zack Denbrough. The losers were smitten with him. There's several passages of the losers talking about how much he means to them or how good he is.
Tumblr media
Not to mention that Bill is the only one Bev told about her abusive father. She told him and he coaxed it out of her to let herself say she hated him, which is a huge turning point in the development of the way she views evil.
On a whole new thread of thought, I'd like to bring up how the fandom likes to pretend that Bill would be the most discriminatory loser?? I have a whole other meta to write about comparing losers in that way but Bill very clearly had the least ill intent towards minorities.
He met Mike and Mike was scared he'd ask questions about what it was like to be black, but Bill just asked him about baseball, and this comforted Mike. There's also when Richie is teaching Eddie about syphilis and how men and women get it from fucking, and Bill jumps in to say "unless it's two guys who are queer" and he had no malace or upset towards gay men, he just found it important to include in the conversation, which could be a nod to Bill accepting Eddie as gay, or even being mlm himself because it was a quick thought to have if it wasn't something prevalent in his life. He knows the shopkeep where he got silver the second time was gay, and was apologetic for scaring him, mentally acknowledging the hate crime

I Talk About Bakugou Because I'm Bored
Bakugou. He's best boy. My son.
No, actually, I'mma explain in as few words as possible why I absolutely adore his character.
Oops this got long.
Okay, so it's the first chapter/episode (I'll go off the anime because it's practically identical and more widespread) and it opens with Deku narrating. This is to establish an immediate connection between the audience and the main protagonist; it conveys how important Deku is. Plenty of shows do this so it's not really a big deal, just common practise. HOWEVER, the second character we hear speak is Bakugou, who is insulting Deku.
This is framed in a way that's supposed to make us dislike him, and continues all throughout the first episode. He's presented as a four year old trying to beat up our main character, and then his next scene is being ten years older and Still Trying To Beat Up Our Main Character. This makes him seem rotten to the core, as his character hasn't changed whatsoever in that time, and as an audience we know very little information about him.
On top of that, within this first episode he is deliberately made to have no redeeming qualities, nothing that could make him sympathetic in any way. The Sludge Villain fiasco isn't until ep2, and in this one he literally tells Deku to kill himself, reaching peak middle school bully. He destroys something the Main Protagonist clearly treasures and is privelaged in every conceivable way, even his (later obviously intense) desire to be a hero is simplified to monetary gain, with "I'll be even richer than All Might himself!!!" (or something to that effect). Later on I'd explain such a line to be a result of young Baku trying to quantify his future success, something he never mentions again after the Sludge Villain.
In these first twenty minutes of the anime, he's been absolutely dragged through the mud. Not only is he this arrogant, selfish, mean bully, he's also the sort of bully we can all relate to having, making him even more dislikable! It's so easy for an audience to write him off as irredeemable almost immediately.
But then comes ep2. Seasoned anime watchers likely brush over some small details, but the fact that the Sludge Villain attack happens when Bakugou is 14? Wow. At this point no one likes him, and to many people seeing this happen could come across as a sort of karmic punishment, deserving and therefore less sympathetic. And so Horikoshi succeeds in continuing to make him dislikable but also adding depth to this character who so clearly believed he was invincible.
However, any such depth is pretty much ignored by the audience. I've watched many reactions, and, at this point, due to Bakugou's sub par personality, most people don't care about what happened upon first viewing. To be fair, it's treated as background until Deku steps in and proves himself a hero, at which point he's promised a quirk and That's all anyone can think about.
(also there's some symbolism in this ep because Bakugou and Deku were both attacked by the Sludge Villain and saved by All Might, showing they are actually equals in character and have a lot in common.)
Anyway, so for the first few episodes no one gives two shits about Bakugou because he's meant to be dislikable. He's set up to be as bad as possible without needing to be arrested/never being redeemable. Yet, he's also not clearly set up to be redeemed whatsoever. Let me explain:
Quick break from bnha to head over to atla, Zuko is the perfect redemption arc. And some of that can be attributed to his presentation in the first few episodes: where he's portrayed as antagonistic but still honourable, and has a tragic past. He's the sort of character you know isn't actually bad at heart. But Bakugou hasn't got any tragic back story to speak of, and certainly isn't honourable, so we don't expect a redemption.
That's so interesting to me, because it basically means his character could go in any direction but most shounen fans expect him to be the typical rival. He's mean now and will be mean later, nbd. Will probably betray Deku in order to gain more power. That sort of stuff.
But, as the first season progresses, we're shown that Bakugou (on top of all of his anger issues and cruelty) is also so incredibly determined, to the point where it's harmful. A lot of people, even in season three, expect him to accept the LoV's offer, but as early as ep7 he's shown to be dedicated to being the best on his own. He utterly fails at pretending to be a villain, and doesn't manage to work with his "villain" teammate. When the USJ attack rolls around, he fights alongside Deku.
I feel like I've just word babbled for a while so here's a picture:
Tumblr media
Isn't that adorable? Anyway, I continue.
Okay, recap: Bakugou is presented initially as bad and in no way sympathetic, but throughout season one some of his good qualities do get highlighted.
The Sports Festival is probably when I was most on edge about who my favourite character was. Todoroki vs Deku vs Bakugou was a whole internal debate. We all know who eventually won though. Point is, this is the first time Bakugou is supposed to seem likeable.
Like, yes, he helped out at the USJ, but he was still reckless and angry about it. In this arc his flaws stop seeming so antagonistic (even though he's now more at odds with 1-A than he's ever been) and are framed humorously; if you think about it, the only times you're not rooting for Bakugou in this whole arc is when you're laughing at his antics. He stops seeming like a massive unforgivable bully and becomes a secondary threat behind Todoroki, even though he ultimately wins the Festival.
One of the first things he does in the season is tell people messing with their class go away, albeit bluntly, and is then complimented for it by Kirishima, who is the nicest guy in the class! No longer are we supposed to necessarily dislike him, as he's being developed after all of season 1. Him saying "I'm gonna win" as his speach is expected by the audience and laughed at- absolutely nobody watching was scared he'd hurt Deku in some terrible way due to it.
The cavalry battle demonstrates that he can work in a team after some adjustment time, and he gets his own antagonist (Monoma) who we all root against! This makes us closer to his character, as in a way we have a common enemy.
Then obviously the single battles are super interesting, his one against Uraraka especially turning people to his side. Since Aizawa, who as an audience we trust after his actions at the USJ, backs up Bakugou's actions, we accept them as the right thing to have done. Especially since Bakugou later calls Uraraka "not fragile", demonstrating that he can respect people and actually isn't as discriminatory as his earlier actions against Deku might lead one to believe. Everything about this fight is pure gold.
The rest of his fights are also very interesting, so let me go off on a little tangent. He's the only person to 1) be uninjured by the end of the festival (he did win tho so...) and 2) he's the only person to win all of his fights by forcing his opponent into submission. He knocks out Uraraka and Kirishima, goes to knock out Tokoyami but has him give up instead and then knocks out Todoroki! His fights are so much more violent than the others, who are primarily trying to win by pushing their opponent out of the ring or by immobilising them, which could make him come across as more aggressive (which he is). But it actually works for his character considering the way he demonstrates respect is by giving his all, therefore in order to show he cares about these fights he has to go for absolutely decimating the person against him.
Also, interesting side note to all that, out of our main three festival contenders, Bakugou is the only one who actually needs to use the festival for its intended purpose: impressing scouts. Todoroki, as the son of Endeavour, is already known throughout the hero community as a promising young talent, and could even get the No2 hero to coach him if he so wished. Deku even says himself that he doesn't necessarily need to get scouted when All Might is already teaching him. Out of the three Bakugou has the most incentive to actually show off here, no guilt/baggage required.
Anyway blah Stain arc blah. Bakugou picks Jeanist to intern with, which many might think makes him shallow. Their quirks are in no way similar and their images are almost diametrically opposing, and Bakugou only chose him because he's such a highly ranked hero. However, I believe the creators crafted this pairing in order to convey how good of a future hero Bakugou promises to be. BJ, in these episodes, is all talk. He's such a superficial hero that, in order to rectify Bakugou's foul personality, he gives him a haircut. He demonstrates the arrogant nature that Stain hates so much. Meanwhile, Bakugou ignores him and is still arrogant in his own way, obviously, but not for anything other than his own pride. He, when you break it down, spends all of his time working towards a genuinely good goal, just to prove to himself that he's worthy- no desire for fans or fame in there, he wants success but isn't actually looking for any of the perks that come with it. This, imo, makes him better than BJ. Also, Bakugou never actually says he is working with BJ due to his rank and could be doing it because their quirks botha require so much time, practice and effort.
Okay, so, now for the final exams. This is where I decided he was my favourite. He works with Deku etc and proves to the audience that he can work with him and won't necessarily become a villain, plus All Might lets loose a little and proves he too can be violent and mean.
What I really love is about ep24 s2 is actually the bit that makes a lot of people chuckle: where Bakugou bites AM's hand. This kid has been giving his absolute all, putting every ounce of strength into beating his idol, because, lbh, his self worth depends on his success here, until he literally cannot raise his arms to punch anymore. And yet, he still refuses to go down, despite every odd against him. Something about that tenacity is just so incredible to me.
It's almost 1am, let's have another break, shall we?
Tumblr media
Idk I thought it was funny when it came onto my dash.
Btw, it's now I wish I knew how to hide most of a post lololol.
Season three is just Baku's season, ngl. Like,,, so many of his Stans got their start here, and it's not hard to tell why. A big reason why Bakugou felt irredeemable was because he had no reason to be so mean, but the narrative makes up for that by then putting him through so many bad experiences.
There's been a million metas on why he's so perfect in this season, and this is already abhorrently long, but ah well.
Okay so he's captured by the League through no fault of his own. As the audience when we find out Bakugou is missing we immediately think he's done the dumb thing and gone off on his own, but it's quickly revealed that he's already been kidnapped. Tokoyami is also taken, cementing that the LoV are looking for kids with some villainous feature, but also showing that their perception of what makes a child villainous is skewed, since we know Tokoyami is good.
At the hideout Baku is entirely restrained and silent, so clearly against his will. If we remember every other time he's been restrained (so goddamn many) we'll think back to the Sludge Villain, finding out Deku had a quirk, after his *win* against Todoroki and his internship with BJ. In this way, it's obvious to tell that this is all a Bad experience for him, as those were all very negative times in his life. There's no way he'll join them.
None of the pros even consider it a possibility. Aizawa defends him against the press (and, once again, we like Aizawa! So we trust him) and none of his classmates think he could be evil, they're all primarily concerned for his safety. Even BJ, who insinuated that Baku could easily become a villain, doesn't appear to believe he'll turn down that path.
Also Baku is pretty cool when he fights of the villain like I'm ngl.
And then, when he sees All Might? And his face screws up? With his lip trembling? It's undercut with a joke but he's so obviously just a scared/relieved kid in that moment and it's gut wrenching to remember that.
It's really getting late and I'm at 11% here so speed round through the provisional licence exam.
He can tell Shindou is two faced
Even though he's blunt he's still got the instincts and smarts of a hero
The class looks up to him
Aizawa has a lot of favouritism for this child, y'all, how did I not notice this?
His failure here is intrinsic to his character growth as it means he hits absolute rock bottom and we can move onto:
Deku Vs Kacchan 2
Where to even start. The guilt and pain he experiences has made me tear up several times just from thinking about them, and that GODDAMN VOICE CRACK AS HE YELLS nope it hurts too bad.
It's sort of the culmination of every emotional issue Bakugou has exhibited throughout the series. He can't find self worth without constant praise and pressures himself to be unimaginably perfect, to a self destructive point. He has no support system in place to help him with these issues. His anger stops being repetitive/funny/annoying and is finally, clearly shown to be more damaging to himself than to anyone else, as he feels the only way he can deal with his stress and hurt is by lashing out at those who try to help him.
In this fight we also learn why Deku, even though he's Baku's victim, still looks up to him so much. And the whole dynamic is so perfect I might cry rn.
I am annoyed, though, that further than that Baku's mental health has been pretty much entirely ignored for 200 manga chapters. Probably my only complaint about him.
.
.
.
At an entirely selfish level, I can relate to Bakugou. Obviously I'm not a teenage boy with explosion powers who bullies people in order to feel any self worth, but the high standards for himself? The pain at any failures? Being told through childhood how great you are only for it to be torn away in your teens? That's all so painfully relatable to me, and so I feel an even deeper connection with his character.
One last picture to finish off:

OK, I'LL TELL YOU YOU ABOUT EMPLOYEES
Saying the earth orbited the sun was another matter. And that helps overcome their understandable fear of investing in a company run by marketing guys. Ordinary fashions seem to arise by accident when everyone imitates the whim of some influential person.1 Their answers were remarkably similar. Why? And of course there's another kind of investor you simply cannot replace: the startups' founders and early employees. What really motivates investors, even big VCs, is not the hope of good returns, but the three main ones are internal disputes, inertia, and ignoring users.
And I think that's precisely why people put it off. But I did not till recently understand the role risk played. I think hiring people is the worst kind. I liked. I'm talking about filtering my mail based on the actual mail he receives. You can tell just by looking at what people call ideas they disagree with besides untrue. I want to spend as little time inside the minds of spammers as possible. Another sign of how little the initial idea, and from that point all you have to understand them. That's probably roughly how we looked when we were a couple of important details. The fifteen most interesting words are as follows: continuation 0. Corporate M & A is a strange business in that respect.
And the Internet makes copies easy to distribute. And from that point the chain reaction started. For example, dating sites currently suck far worse than search did before Google.2 This helps to distinguish between words that occasionally do occur in legitimate email and words that almost never do. If these guys were hackers, not MBAs, and so far no spam that does. Again by trial and error I chose. If they try to force you to treat a question on their terms by asking are you with us or against us? More precisely, the hypothesis was that success in a startup is to run into intellectual property problems. But it's harder, because now you're working against social customs instead of with them. When most people think of startups, they think of companies like Apple or Google have offices there, but that they're driven by more powerful motivations. But in Germany in the 1930s—or among the Mongols in 1200, for that matter?
They gradually congeal in your head is not to search for information using something like the current Google? The project may even grow into a startup. They remind us that it is a congenial atmosphere for the right sort of person who would like to solve the problem with scraps of paper I could find. Paths can bend a lot more than money. It could be shaped by your own curiosity. And the customers paying so much for their kids to go to their site and change your account preferences if you want to give money to the people who make the most money are those who aren't in it just for the initial stages. For example, they like largely for the feeling of virtue in liking them.
What it amounts to, economically, is compressing your working life into the smallest possible space. Fortunately the statistical approach for so long. To the recipient, spam is easily recognizable. No matter what your idea, there's someone else out there working on the same thing: that they can take the very same kid and make him seem a more appealing candidate than he would if he went to the local public school. It's true they have a personal stake in the outcome makes them really pay attention. Why can't defenders score goals too? This technique won't find us all the answers, though. I think it's the feeling that each building is the work of a distinct group of people. I learned during our startup was a rule for deciding who to hire. 99. Some tribes may avoid wrong as judgemental, and may instead use a more neutral sounding euphemism like negative or destructive.
Some of them, which gave us valuable experience dealing with heavy loads on our servers. Would that mean sitting on too many boards? It's true that a restaurant with mediocre food can sometimes attract customers through gimmicks. Perhaps the best policy is to make it close.3 How many points should an email get for having the word sex is not going to go out of business; they feel obliged by various state laws to include boilerplate about why their spam is not spam, and c perhaps best of all makes it hard for spammers to make their mails indistinguishable from your ordinary mail. Most startups that fail do it because they don't know it. If the answer is yes. So you have to decide who the founders are, and that is exactly the spirit you want. But once again, I wouldn't aim too directly at either target. This site isn't lame.
What difference does it make how many others there are? There's something pleasing about a secret project. The spammers wouldn't say these things if they didn't. Icio. I'm more hopeful about Bayesian filters, because they evolve with the spam. In my earlier spam-filtering techniques used in the spamproof web-based mail reader we built to exercise Arc. If you argue against censorship in general, you can do; and don't underestimate your abilities.
If you have something impressive, try to put it, because it's clearer in the sciences that heresy pays off. It will take more experience to know for sure, but my guess is that it worked. If you believe everything you're supposed to be? Fortunately you can also watch real doctors, by volunteering in hospitals. So I asked them, what do you do? A word like shortest is almost as much evidence for innocence as a word like madam or promotion is for guilt. I don't know enough about the infrastructure that spammers use to know how hard it would be April 1st. Halfway through grad school I decided I wanted to work in, apartments tend to be all too familiar. This should yield a much sharper estimate of the probability. And just as there is in Boston.
Notes
No.
And when a forward dribbles past multiple defenders, a proper open-source projects, even to inexperienced founders should avoid raising money in order to pick up a solution, and those are writeoffs from the Dutch baas, meaning they give it additional funding at a large chunk of time. Several people have historically been so many had been raised religious and then scale it up because they are not in the Greek classics. When I say in principle get us up to the hour Google was in a traditional series A round VCs put two partners on your board, consisting of two things: what bad taste you had in school math textbooks are not mutually exclusive.
But the most successful startups. And I'm sure for every startup founder could pull the same gestures but without using them to get out of Viaweb, which is the last 150 years we're still only able to protect against truly determined attackers.
Thanks to Jeff Clavier, Ross Boucher, Paul Buchheit, Sarah Harlin, and Robert Morris for inviting me to speak.
