—————————————————————————
Some days, it really did feel like you were living in a movie. Casted as that one friend who was only there for comedic relief. Sure, you could admit to yourself that for the most part, you didn’t take much seriously. You liked to have fun. You liked to live in the moment. You liked being able to make others laugh, it brought you joy that your friends thought of you as a good time. You were the one to call if they wanted to party.
But none of that meant you couldn’t tone it down. It especially didn’t mean that you couldn’t flip a switch or read a room. “Look Y/n, nows not a good time.” You had barged in like you always do, carrying an armful of snacks and drinks. “What do you mean? I came—“
You were cut off, this happens a lot, you held your tongue. “I know, I know, you want to help, you want to cheer me up, but I don’t want to be cheered up.” You swallowed, “I understand but-“ a mutual friend walked in past where you stood by the door. “You called Y/n too?” Olivia asked, trying to hide her surprise.
You held the snacks tighter. “No, I saw the post,” you spoke again. Lena had posted about her breakup. You knew she was taking it hard, you had met her partner, saw how in love she had been. You continued, turning to Lena, “I just thought you wouldn’t want to be alone. I brought all your favorites!” You said motioning down to what you carried. “I appreciate it..” she sighed, “I can be a shoulder to cry on, or just listen if you feel like talking!” You tried to say as you watched Olivia take a spot on the couch across the room.
“Look Y/n, you’re sweet, but Lena called me! I’m here for her,” Olivia had spoken up. She had this look that said ‘know your place.’ Lena was biting her lip, not meeting your eyes or saying much. “Right, I’ll just go then! I’m real sorry about you and—“ Lena suddenly was marching forward, grabbing your arm and dragging you to the door. “Don’t say their name. I can’t stand it. See this is why I didn’t call you in the first place.” Lena took a deep breath, “Look I promise I’ll call when I’m ready to joke and make fun of them.”
With that you were in the hallway, arms still holding onto snacks you didn’t really like. You looked back at the door that was quickly shut after you. Were you the weird one? Sure you had been hoping to cheer Lena up.. but if she hadn’t wanted that you would’ve easily just listened to her rant, or been there for her while she cried. You guessed Olivia had it all covered. You felt like a fool just standing there so you forced yourself to move.
You didn’t really know what you were doing. Once you made it back to your apartment you dropped the snacks and walked right back out. You didn’t want to be alone. No sooner were you in an alleyway staring down at a certain manhole cover. You usually didn’t have two thoughts about barging in, but your earlier experience had you pausing. Maybe you should’ve called.
“Greetings Y/n,” Donatello answered on the third ring. “Hi, you busy Dee?” You shifted your weight, feeling weird to ask even though you were right outside..or topside? “Mmm I do have a packed schedule, but things can be rearranged, why?” You wondered what his schedule was jam packed with, probably science-y stuff if you had to guess. “I was just wondering.. if I could come over?” The line went quiet. “…yes you can but hold on,”
You started the descent into the sewers. “Just as I thought, this is your first time ever asking! And you’ve been over on approximately 628 occasions,” You snorted, “only in the hundreds? I’ve gotta step up my game!” Even though you were still upset you pushed it aside to try and joke. Maybe if you kept joking around like you always did the feeling would go away. “Shall I expect you in 20 minutes or so?” Donnie questioned and you could hear movement on his side of the line. “Actually I’m passing the common area in the lair right now!” You were surprised to see that no one was there. Usually Mikey was lounged eating chips or on his phone.
“Oh?! Wait, well why did you call if you were already here??” He sounded a bit confused and maybe a little amused. Even though you were about to walk into his lab, you ended the call. You didn’t really want to explain why, because that would mean explaining… the whole thing. Just the thought had your chest tightening. “Really?” Donatello was in front of you now, “Why’d you hang up??” He said eyes narrowing. He looked like he was analyzing you. As if you were acting strange, not as you usually do. “Well I’m here already so no point in staying on the phone!” You waved your hand dismissively, passing the purple turtle to enter his lab.
“Where’s everyone else?” You spoke up, wanting to stay away from the previous topic. “Last I heard some dum dum challenge in the ramp room.” Donnie followed after you once he had closed the lab door. “They tried to rope me in but as I explained earlier my schedule is already booked.” He watched as you landed in his swivel chair, “Should I go hang with them instead? Since you’re so busy?” You didn’t look up, you were wondering if you had messed up again. Were you bothering him? Just like you had bothered Lena?
Donnie was watching you, one had cupped under his chin. He was thinking. Something was definitely off here. “No, you can stay with me.. I moved my said schedule around just for you afterall!” This didn’t make you feel better. In fact you just felt like a burden. Your shoulders slumped. “Are you sure?”
Dee crossed the space between you two and crouched down until he could see your face. Even with him being so close it looked like you were still unaware of his presence. You looked to be overthinking. “Y/n, what’s wrong?” He asked gently and your eyes met his, they were teary. “Nothing just… I don’t wanna bother you.. annoy you.” You sniffed trying to keep the tears at bay. “Your presence doesn’t annoy me, in fact, I like your company!” Donnie reassured you, eyes softening because you looked so sad. He didn’t know why, and he hadn’t seen you so upset before.
“Do you want to talk about it or would you rather forget?” He gave you the choice. This would be his final time asking. You sighed, thinking about both options. “I went over to Lena’s… you know one of my friends?” Donnie nodded, his hands went out holding onto your knees. He was still in the crouched position, wanting to make sure he could see your face. “She posted about her breakup, and I knew she could probably use a friend..” you swallowed, eyes getting glassy again. “So I went to a convenience store, got a bunch of her favorite snacks and drinks, then headed that way!”
Donnie put his chin over his right hand that covered your knee. Still listening. “I barged in like I always do, but turns out Olivia already had it covered. Lena didn’t want me there.. so yeah.” It was the abridged version. You were leaving some things out, but you felt like if you said everything you would definitely cry. Donatello sighed, “I can relate.” He moved back and stood up. Donnie didn’t want to continue to drag the mood down. But he wasn’t exactly sought out when someone needed cheering, or for anything that dealt with emotions. “It’s not your fault, you didn’t do anything wrong.” He surmised, moving past his own thoughts to reassure yours.
“But maybe if I had called.. or even just knocked when I—“ You paused when you saw Donnie shake his head. “Maybe so, but your intentions were pure and that’s all that matters. If Lena couldn’t see that, then she may have some sort of cataract,”
Your eyebrows came together. “Donnie you can just say ‘she’s blind’” and you couldn’t help but laugh. He was always trying to use such brainiac words. He smirked, “Excuse me for having such an intellectual vocabulary!” You rolled your eyes, then stood yourself. “Anything I can help with? Don’t wanna keep you from that hectic schedule of yours!” Donnie tapped on his wrist tech, you peered over to see a purple coded calendar. “Not hectic, just full, I can definitely manage.” He corrected you and you huffed playfully. “But yes, an assistant would be useful!” He agreed after a final swipe on his wrist.
“If you’ll follow me this way,” Donnie said teasingly, putting on an elegant accent and sweeping his hand out to gesture towards his new projects. “Aye aye captain!” You put on your own accent, far less sophisticated and very much pirate. It was god awful and made the both of you burst into laughter. You felt better after talking to Donnie about it. You wondered if he knew. “Hey Dee?” You said after you caught your breath. “Hmm?”
“Thanks,” it was all you needed to say. Just a simple word with a soft smile. He nodded, smiling back, happy to have helped.

Just an Idea-
Rise Leo gets thrown into the 2012 tmnt universe with a twist!
Part 2!
Here’s the last part:
I’ve changed the ending a bit, so check that out if you haven’t already….
My therapist was sick today, so I’m writing this to stay sane or something…
Also because you guys seem to like the idea so much…
So here it is, I guess…
Again: This is only an Idea!
There will be mistakes and I have no Idea how much motivation I have for this, so don’t expect me to continue this story…
And there may be some spoilers to the 2012 TMNT series…
Anywhizzle~
Here it is:
____________
His misses his family.
Kaito opened his eyes, just in time to land on the next rooftop without stumbling.
He couldn’t afford rolling when he landed since his backpack was filled with breakable things.
Kaito has now been stuck in this universe for solid 13 years.
He had long given up on actively finding a way home, since he doesn’t have much knowledge in the technical field - so he could build himself a machine or something - nor was his ninpo ninpo strong enough to get him through universes - unless he wanted to turn himself into a pile of dust only to open one portal home, which wouldn’t help anyone.
So he gave up. Somewhat. It hurt accepting that he could probably never get home. It still does and he wanted to see his family so desperately but no matter what he did he would never return.
But now he has a new family. An alternative Version of his brothers, him and their father.
They would never be able to replace his real family and he would never want that, but it often made his heart ache, seeing so many similarities between them and his brothers.
Often it was too much, sending him into a short episode of depression, where he can’t seem to get out of bed no matter how much he tries and it often took this Splinter to come and wrap him into a strong and firm hug, murmuring reassurances until he felt better or good enough to actually at least eat something.
They never asked what the cause for these episodes is and even if they would ask he could never tell them the truth.
The episodes became less and less over the years, but if the similarities were to strong, when these turtles were to much alike to his brothers, it would sent him into another spiral.
Kaito slipped down the fire escape and landed in an narrow alleyway.
The slider pushed the manhole cover aside and climbed down, slipping the cover back into place.
Kaito often snuck out when Splinter wasn’t looking, mostly when the younger turtles were asleep or when the elder rat was too occupied with them to notice.
The rat-man was very overprotective and often told them how awful humans were and what they would do if one of them got seen or even captured.
Kaito often found these stories silly.
Humans were stupid, often too occupied with their own problems to even notice a teenager that was overdressed in the hottest days of the year and had a way to bulky back to be even considered normal.
But he would never speak up and voice his thoughts, since that would reveal his secret sneak-outs and would make the other turtles jealous, since they never been to the topside before.
Well, until now.
It was their birthday or - what Splinter would call it - mutationday and they would finally turn 15.
Meaning they could finally go to the surface and that had to be celebrated.
Hence the backpack. It was filled with ingredients to bake the perfect cake.
Kaito gotten better in cooking over the years, leaning from Splinter, who patiently taught him how to make good dishes. It often ended up with Kaito ruining the simplest dishes there are, but perfecting the most complicated ones.
No, Kaito has no idea how that works and to this day Splinter and Donatello are still questioning how Kaito managed to burn water - Kaito could never give them an answer.
Even in his original universe he’d never been able to cook simple dishes and Mikey would often have a breakdown, because not even the worlds best chef (Mikey) could figure out how that can be.
Kaito slipped through the Lair and into the kitchen, setting down his backpack before pulling down his hood, that was attached to the white grey-ish scarf around his neck. Then he moved to pluck the tools out of the cupboards and set them down on the counter.
His new life has been full of chaos and Kaito would question why he ever thought it would be otherwise.
The turtles were a handful and Kaito had to take care of them often when Splinter went to the surface for food.
Leonardo was quiet and often sat in some corner of the room or next to Kaito and would only ever watch the others play. But sometimes, when he felt energetic enough he would roughhouse with Raphael, which often ended with the two having bite marks, bruises and scratches all over their bodies.
Raphael was quite aggressive and Kaito often had a hard time getting him to calm down. The third oldest would often rile the others up and pick a fight with Leonardo, which made it almost impossible to calm them down again. The turtle often remind him of his Raph when the snapper was younger.
Donatello would often tinker with the toaster or the TV and Kaito often had to keep him from electrocuting himself. Once Kaito even took his tool box from him, which resulted in not only a huge temper tantrum but also Donnie making it his mission to make Kaito‘s life a living hell as revenge. He was so much like a certain spiny softshell turtle.
Michelangelo loved to shove almost everything into his mouth and not often Kaito had to save Michelangelo from swallowing inedible things and choking on them in the process. He was just as energetic as his Mikey, but unlike the boxshell, this Mikey wasn’t as good at cooking and art, but he had great skills in other areas.
All these problems got better over the years, but even now Raphael and Leonardo would get into fights, Donatello would tinker with something that would blow up into his face while he would never wear any safety gear and Michelangelo would try the most disgusting combos of food imaginable while they’re already rotten.
Kaito carefully applied the lairs of the cake, before putting it into the oven with a proud smile.
Now he had to wait.
Splinter was different that his own.
He was stricter and often acted like a teacher, especially in the dojo, but would always be father when needed and is always there for the turtles.
He was, well, a better father, better that his Splinter.
Kaito felt saver and more accepted with this Splinter. He may be intimidating, but the man had always advise to any problem and would always encourage him to be himself.
Kaito moved to another cupboard, taking out a mug and setting it down near the stove where the teakettle stood. He filled the kettle with water and turned on the stove after putting the kettle back onto its spot. He fished out a teabag out of nearest cupboard and placed it into the mug, before dropping into a seat with a heavy sigh.
Everything was a bit too much lately. Too much noise, too much touch, too much smell, too many emotions.
No matter how long it’s been since he left his and dropped into this dimension, the pain of loosing his family and then being replaced by another version of them never really went away.
Of course he had no intention of replacing them, but they were still too much alike at times. It was painful to witness.
Kaito stood up again, turning the stove off, before the Kettle had a chance to whistle and took it from its place to fill his mug with hot water.
“Is there enough for one more?”, a deep and smooth voice suddenly asked.
Kaito jumped slightly, turning to look at the elder rat with wide eyes, swallowing thickly.
“I- I think so”, Kaito finally replied peering into the kettle.
Yes. That surely be enough.
“Which one do you want, Father?”
Splinter walked past him and took a mug and teabag for himself.
Kaito pressed his lips together into a fine line.
He was in trouble.
Splinter gently took the kettle out of the sliders hands, filling his own mug, before setting onto his usual seat at the head of the kitchen table.
Kaito joined him on his left with a bit of hesitation.
The silence that followed was unbearable.
Splinter didn’t say anything, didn’t look at him in any way that would suggest that he was suspicious of him.
But Kaito knew.
He knew, Splinter knew.
Damnit.
The guilt was eating away at him and Splinter was just waiting for him to burst.
Shit.
Why did this guy know him better that his ‘original’ father?!
Kaito shrinks in his seat.
Fuck.
“Why are you still awake, Kaito?”, Splinter asked calmly, radiating his fatherly aura that would make anyone crumble - or, well, him and his new-old brothers.
“Insomnia”, he tried.
Splinter gave him a look.
The guy already knew. What’s the point in trying to hide it?
Kaito let his head shrink into his shell a little.
“‘’m sorry”, he mumbled.
The ninja master sighed, putting his mug on the table.
“Kaito—“
“I’m sorry! I just wanted to make them happy! I thought—“
Splinter held up his hand and Kaito immediately shut his mouth.
“You had pure intentions, I don’t doubt that”, he explained carefully. “But you cannot keep going up to the surface with no backup! You could’ve been hurt and no one would be there to help you!”
Kaito swallowed. He knew that and Kaito wonders distantly how much the old man knew about his little trips.
The old ninja master sighs. “Your brothers will accompany you from now on, Kaito. I want you to be careful and lead them to victory. They never been up there before. You have to be patient with them, okay?”
Kaito blinked, surprised, then nodded. “Of course, father! I will take care of them!” Splinter smiled softly, rubbing Kaito’s head. “I don’t doubt that, my son”, the old rat murmured.
Kaito smiled. “Would you like to help me finish the cake for the four?”
Splinter chuckled, lifting a brow.
***
Leo readied his sword, clutching the long, beautiful hilt with both hands as his ocean blue eyes pierced into Mikey’s baby blue ones.
Mikey rolled his shoulders, nunchucks ready as he narrowed his eyes at his older brother, determination shining within them.
Leo tensed his muscles, charging forward with a yell, sword raised in attack and Mikey chuckled with glee.
“Oh yeah!”, he exclaimed as he, too, bolted forward, swinging his nunchucks.
“Michelangelo is on the move!”, he chirped teasingly, jumping over Leo as he swiped his sword down to strike.
Mikey landed gracefully behind him in a crouch, giggling happily as Leo turned and scowled at his younger brother with the orange mask.
Leo bolted forward again, moving quickly, but Mikey was quicker, jumping and twisting around Leo’s sword, teasing Leo for his misses.
Mikey continued to tease Leo, letting his guard down and Leo took his chance and swiped down with his sword.
Mikey yelped, dodging.
Leo turned, smirking at the other.
Mikey grinned. “How can you stop something, you can’t even see?!”, he asked, wiggling his arms around before getting back into fighting stance.
Leo didn’t answer, simply going back into stance as well. This time he waited for Mikey to attack first, narrowing his eyes.
Leo thrusted the hilt of his sword into Mikey’s stomach, latter dropping his weapons, rolling past Leo and clutching his stomach with a grunt.
“Like That?”, Leo asked smugly.
“Good one, Leo”, Mikey wheezed out.
The youngest made a dramatic hurling sound, landing on his side with a whine, before he stood up and went to the sidelines, watching Raph and Donnie fight, while Leo waited for them to finish.
Raph won, twisting Donnie’s stolen bō-staff before breaking it over his knee and using the two sticks to wrack them over Donnie’s shell.
The tall, lanky turtle, yelled in protest, throwing his arms over his head to protect it.
“Okay! Okay! I’m down! I’m down!”, Donnie yelped, surrendering and Raph stepped away from his younger brother, throwing the broken staff to the side, to face his older brother.
Donnie walked over to Mikey with slumped shoulders, sitting down next to him with a disappointed groan.
Raph and Leo readied themselves.
Raph’s sais and Leo’s sword locked with a loud cling, the two turtles pressing forward with all their strength to get the other to back down.
Toxic green eyes lock wit ocean blue ones and they both grunt, before Leo twist them around, Raph stumbling a little and dodging the blade that almost beheaded him, but he wasn’t even fazed by it.
Raph charged forward again with a yell and their weapons cling together ruthlessly until Leo managed to twist his sword in the right way that Raph’s sai flys out of his hand and dunking onto the wall between Donnie’s and Mikey’s head, who don’t even flinch.
Raph and Leo charged again with a yell.
And suddenly Leo’s sword was out of his hand, cluttering against the mats of the dojo and the Moto of Raph’s sai twisted around Leo’s wrist.
Leo yelped as he flew over Raph’s shoulder, his shell making contact with the mats with a loud thud.
Leo groaned, clutching his wrist.
He looked up, Raph standing over him with his hands on his hips and the smuggest look anyone could muster.
“Nice try”, Raph said mockingly, but then his gaze softened and he helped Leo up with a chuckle of victory.
“Yame!”, Splinter called, stepping into the dojo, emerald staff, clicking against the ground softly.
The four turtles gather in the middle of the dojo, hands on their knees.
Kaito stood by the tree that has miraculously grown here, despite there being no sun whatsoever.
Leo gave his father and teacher a quick bow as he passes by, while the others don’t and his eyes fall onto the oldest of the five. He wonders why Kaito hasn’t shown up for their morning training today…
“You did very well”, Splinter praised, walking around and behind them.
“But I did better”, Raph said smugly and Leo shot him an disbelieving and flabbergasted look.
Splinter halted behind his third oldest, holding up his hand. “This is about self improvement, Raphael. It’s not about winning and loosing”
Raph huffed and Kaito crossed his arms, lifting an unimpressed, nonexistent brow at the red-masked turtle.
Raph’s smug expression faltered a little.
“I know, sensei”, Raph said and held back his “But I won and they lost” unhappily.
Kaito’s send him a soft smile and a thumbs up, telling him that he was proud of Raph without saying anything.
Raph felt a little lighter and he straightened his back again.
***
Kaito placed the breakfast onto the table with a grin and received loud “Thank you”s for his efforts.
The family of six ate together, chatting happily and soon finishing their plates.
Kaito slipped out of his chair. “I hope you got room for more!”, he chirped and took the cake out of its hiding spot and placing it onto the table.
“Happy mutation day, guys!”, he exclaimed happily and lit the four candles on top of the cake.
The four cheered loudly, throwing their arms into the air.
“Happy mutation day”, they cheered back, thanking Kaito for the cake and tackling him into a big hug, while Splinter chuckled before sighing wistfully.
“Ah yes. Fifteen years ago today, our lives changed forever and we became the unlikeliest of families”, he said with a soft smile, body relaxing into his chair.
Mikey leaned onto the table, looking up at Splinter expectingly. “Tell us the story master Splinter!”
Splinter lifted a brow and all of the others settled back into their chairs, them too, wanting to hear the story.
“Michelangelo, I have already told it many times!”, Splinter sighed, but he still smiled.
There was some more begging, before Splinter reluctantly retold the story.
Kaito leaned back. He had heard the story a million times before.
At first, hearing this story was interesting, exciting. He wanted to know if there was some similarities between his brothers and them and how they were mutated, but no.
They were mutated accidentally by this worlds Kraang and that’s about it. No super soldiers, no mystic powers, not even Splinter once being a film star. Nothing.
It was boring now. He understood things that Splinter didn’t even mention in his stories. Like him not being a former film star, him just having moved to New York before he was mutated…
That stuff. He knew. But not the reasons or other things that the ninja master didn’t want to talk about.
That was okay. Everyone has their secrets, just like him…

I Hope this was okay! Again, there could be spelling mistakes and all that jazz
But I hope I’ve written the fighting scene well!

💕❣️😢Small angst with bayturtles
Reader is April and Casey's child (they'll be the turtles niece/nephew) and they got into an accident after saving a child from being hit by a car. The reader is gonna be ok but they're slowly recovering.
This is just an excuse to see uncle turtle brothers 😭
I'm not sure if you meant it this way, but I am not killing off April and Casey, they're just very badly injured and in the hospital.
Vern is (somehow) one of the Godfathers and brings the child down to the lair. Also, I'm making the child a toddler, cause I think the boys interacting with a baby is cute.
This isn't really an 'x reader' fic cause I have no idea how to write like the reader is a toddler, so I'm naming the baby Emma (cause it's easy and simple).
Family Matters
Word Count: 2.4k
Warnings: talking about car crashes, crying toddlers, solid uncle moments, spelling mistakes, it jumps around quite a bit, but it's so everyone gets a moment with the baby, if you don’t like babies don’t read it,
Summary: the turtles take care of their Niece while April and Casey are in the hospital.
Tumblr media
The brothers hadn't gotten up so fast in years. Hearing Donnie's worried cries through the lair as he ran around the lair waking up the others.
It was the longest 24 hours of their lives. Having gotten a call from Vern at 3 AM telling them that April, Casey and their niece, Emma, had gotten into a car crash.
April and Casey were fine but had several broken bones and internal bleeding and had to stay at the hospital for many days. Their niece had a few scratches, but was thankfully alright (thank goodness for her carseat).
They all waited in the living room for Vern to arrive, he had been given temporary guardian-ship and was brining her to stay with the turtles.
"He should've been here by now," Raph grumbled, pacing by the sewer entrance.
"He had to get the car seat in the car, get Emma in the car and grab all her things from April and Casey's apartment-" Leo sighed, sitting on the edge of the couch, leg bouncing.
"Plus, the hospital is also over 30 minutes away, he's probably still on the road," Donnie interrupted, coming out of the kitchen with a granola bar, the first thing he's eaten this morning.
"And he said he'd text us when he got to the manhole cover," Mikey added, sitting next to Leo. "We just....just have to wait,"
"I'm tired of waiting!" Raph threw his hands up. "I'm tired of not knowing anything, we still have no idea what actually happened!"
"My sons," Splinter exited his room, despite his calm voice the brothers knew he was just as worried as them. "We must all take deep breaths, I know this is frightening but we must do this for April and Casey. They need us,"
Raph sighs, lowering his head as Splinter walks up to him. "You're right, I'm sorry, Sensei,"
"You need not apologize, my son, we're all worried," He reaches out a hand and gently sqeezes his arm, offering a warm smile.
Donnie's phone beeped in his pocket, everyone's head snaps toward him. Stuffing the granola bar into his mouth, he yanks his phone out of his pants.
"He's here," His voice is muffled by the granola, everyone jumps from their spots and rushes down the tunnels.
Reaching the manhole cover, Leo climbs up first, lifting the metal and peeking out into the alleyway.
Pushing the manhole cover over, he pulls himself out, seeing Vern standing beside one of the dumpsters. His eyes were bloodshot and he looked exhausted. In his arms was a baby carrier.
The others quickly climbed up as well, Donnie ducking down to check on the toddler.
Her eyes and cheeks were red from crying but she was mostly okay, with just a small bruise on her elbow. She squirmed and whined in the carrier.
"Come, let's get back inside and get Vern and the baby something to eat and perhaps a bath," Splinter says.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Vern vented to the brothers and Splinter in the kitchen, he didn't know exactly what happened, but it wasn't April or Casey's fault.
They were returning from a visit to Casey's family farmhouse and they pulled to a stop at a red light, but some asshole wasn't looking and drove across the road, smashing the front of his car into theirs.
Mikey felt sweaty and nervous and offered to take Emma and give her a bath. He was thankful they could all tell he was setting overwhelmed and wanted a moment.
Mikey knelt by the side of the tub, watching Emma chew on a small rubber ducky. Squirting a small amount of of shampoo onto his palm, he carefully lathered it in her soft hair.
Covering her eyes, Mikey rinsed out all the soap, grabbing one of the boat toys by the side of the tub and pushing it through the water.
"Is that fun?" He cooed, smiling as her eyes went wide watching the boat float in the water.
"We have fun bath time with Uncle Mikey," Mikey looked at his niece, a wave of sadness coming over him. She looked like April, she had those large inquisitive eyes and little button nose. He was so worried for her, and Casey.
Emma was looking up at him, and started to fuss, kicking her feet and wining.
"Emmy, what's wrong?" Mikey snapped out of his daze, reaching an arm out to rub her back.
She fussed more, starting to move around in the tub.
"You wanna get out?" She whined louder, putting her small hands on the edge of the tub, starting to pull herself up. "Alrightly, let's get out,"
He grabbed her towel from her bag by his side, wrapping it around her shoulders and pulling her hood up.
It was a soft yellow towel with a duck head on the hood. She still squirmed and whined in his arms, face going red, tears starting to fill her eyes.
"What's wrong, sweetheart?" Mikey bounced her on his side, pulling the plug on the bath, grabbing the rubber duck she was playing with and speaking it. "We're you just really done with your bath?"
"Perhaps, it's not the bath," Splinter peeked into the bathroom, strolling in and standing by Mikeys side.
"What do you mean?"
"Children feed off of emotions," He ran a gentle finger down the side of her plush cheeks, adjusting her hood slightly. "She sensed you were upset and it made her fussy,"
Mikey sighed. "I was thinking about April and Casey. I'm just really worried about them,"
"I know, were all worried, but our jobs right now are to look after little Emma here," Splinter reached his arms out toward her. "Come here little one, let's go get dressed with Grandpa Splints,"
She was still a little fussy, but she'd calmed down feeling how calm Splinter was.
Mikey handed over Emma and her bag of clothes and bath things, watching Splinter take her to his room. He smiled thinking this was how he was when him and his brothers were babies.
Splinter set Emma down on his bed, placing her bag on the floor in front of her. Picking out two pairs of pajamas he held them up for her.
"Which one would you like?" Her small hand grabbed the one in his left hand, covered in little turtles.
"Yes, I like this one too," He smiled, putting her arms and legs into the onesise and zipping her up. "Comfy?"
She babbled softly, reaching her arms up toward him. He leaned down, picking her up and setting her on his hip and bringing her to the kitchen.
"Let's have dinner,"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
She -surprisingly- ate all her mashed foods and sat without fuss in her high chair, allowing everyone in the lair to take a breather and eat peacefully.
They'd babysat for April and Casey dozens of times, but everytime they knew at the end of the night they'd come back and pick up Emma. Now they had no idea how long she'd stay with them and when April and Casey would be sent home.
Leo and Donnie had dish duty so they cleaned up the plates as Raph and Mikey brought Emma to the living room.
Donnie had set up her playpen, filled with a soft blanket and her favorite toys. Mikey set her down and she immediately crawled around sitting by her blocks.
Mikey and Raph put something on the TV, they're not sure what it is, but it's a distraction as they sprawl across the couches.
After about 30 minutes of them staring blankly at the screen, Emma starts whining. Raph looks over to see her standing in the playpen, hands pressed against the railing, with large teary eyes.
"What's wrong, short stack?" He coos, glancing at Mikey, seeing his younger brother had passed out.
Emma whined loudly, stomping her feet. "Mama,"
Raph sighed, standing and leaning over the playpen. "I know, I miss your momma too,"
He reached down, picking her up and sitting back down on the couch, leaning her against his chest. He gently rubbed her back in hopes to calm her down, but she kept squirming.
"Here," He reached over, pulling a blanket off the side of the couch. "I made this," He wraps it around her body, draping it across his chest and waist. "It's your mom's favorite blanket,"
She squirmed a bit more, but having his hand rubbing her back and the soft blanket that still smelled like her mom's shampoo had her closing her eyes.
"Mama," She whined again, fighting her heavy eyelids.
"Don't worry, Mama's going to come home soon," He leaned down, pressing a kiss to her hairline, hoping he was right.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
She was out for 30 minutes before Donnie emerged from his lab, motioning for the baby. She had crawled off of Raphs lap and found a toy to chew on.
"I'll take her," Donnie offered, crouching down by where Emma was leaning against the couch. She was sitting at Raphs side, biting on a rubber train, still wrapped in the blanket.
Raph and Mikey were passed out, and being such heavy sleepers, Leo and Donnie didn't need to worry about whispering.
"She shouldn't be near chemicals," Leo argued, crossing his arms.
"I'm not working with chemicals, it's all online coding and stuff, I've fully wiped down my lab, there's nothing in there that could hurt her,"
Leo raised an eyebrow ridge.
"Anything that's out right now, obviously there's a lot that could hurt her, but it's all put away," Donnie protested.
"Fine, just watch her this time, that way she won't break anything else," Leo raised his hands in defeat, walking over to the dojo.
"Yay!" Donnie softly cheered, tickling Emma's sides, she giggled, allowing Donnie to pick her up. "I made you something,"
He walked her to his lab, closing the door behind him and taking her over to the side of his desk. He had moved all his boxes and loose wires to the opposite side of the room.
He took her old bouncing swing and hooked it up to the ceiling and side of his desk.
"It's your swing!" He placed her in the holder, her feet just touching the ground, on instinct she started bouncing and jumping.
"Isn't that fun?" He sat in his chair, smiling down at her, she giggled and smiled. "Now you can do that while I work on stuff, and hopefully you won't find another beaker to break," He leaned forward kissing her forehead before turning to his computer.
He tried to type, but his mind was going too fast for his trembling fingers. He started and stopped the same line of code at least fifteen times before he sighed, leaning back in his chair and glancing at Emma.
She was still bouncing without a care in the world, glancing around at all the blinking lights and machines that hummed and buzzed around his computer.
"Maybe, we need a break," He stood, taking her out of the swing.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Leo breathed in deeply, eyes closed, back straight (or as straight as he could get it with a shell) and tried to distract his thoughts.
He'd been meditating practically all day, trying to get the swarming uneasy feeling of dread out of his system. But today his thoughts wouldn't stop and sitting alone in the quiet wasn't helping.
"I think uncle Leo needs a hug, what do you think?" Came a voice from the doorway.
Leo smiled, peering over his shoulder to see Donnie helping Emma walk into the dojo. He was practically bent in half, holding onto her little hands as she walked in between his legs.
"Hi, Emmy," He turned toward them, holding out his arms. Donnie stopped about five feet away and crouched down, letting go of her hands and gently pushing her forward.
She giggled, stepping toward Leo, she was wobbly and leaning a bit far to the left but happily landed in Leo's arms.
"Look at you!" Leo pecked her cheek, tickling her sides. "She's doing a lot better, her balance needs some work,"
"She gets it from Casey," The brothers laugh for a moment, then it goes quiet. Emma turns around in Leo's arms, sitting down in the spot between his crossed legs.
"Do you want to talk about it?" Donnie mumbles quietly, pulling at his shoelaces, not meeting his brothers eyes.
"I don't know," Leo runs a hand down Emma's head. "Do you?"
"I...I just want them to be okay," Donnie whispers.
"We all do, and Vern said they were alright, the doctors just wanted to monitor them for a few more nights," Leo hated how his voice trembled, he swallowed the growing lump in his throat.
"It still hurts,"
"I'd be worried if it didn't," Leo tried to laugh, but he just shakily exhaled. "I've spent all day in here to try and get rid of the anxiety and nervous thoughts but it hasn't done me any good. Normally I'm good at being alone, but today...."
"Today is hasn't helped?" Donnie supplied, glancing up and seeing Leo nod. "Can I stay in here with you and Emma until she has to go to bed?"
"Yeah, I'd like that,"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Three days after Vern brought Emma down to the lair, all four brothers were sleeping in the living room, none of them wanting to be alone.
Emma was laying bundled up in a nest of blankets, Raphs arm around her sleeping form.
Raph was having trouble falling asleep and sensed another presence crouching over him and Emma.
"She can sleep by herself, you know, Raphie," A soft voice said, his eyes shot open, body jerking.
"April?...!" He slurred, eyes blurry, leaning close to her. She laughed softly, she had some bandages on her arms and forehead but she was alright.
"I'm here too," Casey chimed in, his arm was in a sling and he had a small shadow of stumble on his chin.
"You're okay!" Raph’s voice woke the others who were just as eager to see them. Everyone stood and wrapped them in tight hugs -being weary of the bandages and wounds.
Emma got woken up by the commotion, whining loudly. April leaned down, picking her up and kissing her plush cheeks.
"It's alright, honey, Mom's here," She held her tightly to her chest, Casey came up behind her and ran his good hand down her face.
"We're all home now,"
Okay, just got back from the Mario movie, thoughts under the cut.
SPOILERS AHOY YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED
This movie was delightful. I think I was grinning almost the entire time. Yes, it's a love letter to the Mario franchise. To quote Bojack Horseman, it's not Ibsen, but not everything has to be.
The visuals were stunning.
The SCORE WAS FANTASTIC. They did an incredible job of arranging 8bit video music game music for full orchestra. And yes, there was a short Luigi's Mansion quote when our boi was exploring the woods.
Speaking of our boi...LUIGI!!!! I LOVE HIM! He's such a mess and jeeze, did he get roughed up by Bowser. But there's something I want to point out about his "moment," as it was, in the finale. Well, two things.
Firstly, Luigi with the shield (manhole cover) looked like something straight out of Captain America. And for once, he's protecting his brother.
Secondly, Mario went through all this extensive training to beat Bowser. Luigi just shows up and...does it. Knows next to nothing about the Mushroom Kingdom or power ups or whatever, he just starts jumping around with equal skill and facility as his brother (yeah, yeah, I know they needed it for the grand finale, but in-universe, it's a hell of a thing.)
Honestly, I had no issues with any of the voice actors. Toad and Kamek were both unexpected delights. And yes, Charlie Day killed it, as was expected.
I could have done with fewer slo-mo bits - those did get a little old.
A lot of the reviews mention the pacing as an issue. Yeah, the movie probably could have used another 30 minutes, or - and this might be controversial of me to say, they could have cut the Bowser piano scene, as I personally didn't feel like it added much to his character. (The scene between him and Kamek rehearsing the proposal, however, was hilarious.)
LUMA YOU DEMENTED SOUL. Perfection.
Gods, the Brooklyn scenes. So good. Poor Luigi was really getting talked over by that one family member, grrrrrr.
Mario calls him "Lu"? ADORABLE.
I also think we could have done without the baby Luigi and Mario scene. Like, we get the dynamic, let's not lampshade Luigi's lack of confidence.
I started pumping my fist when I heard the Mario Brothers rap in surround sound. RELIC OF MY CHILDHOOD.
Okay, yes, Luigi was underutilized and my hope is that he gets his own character arc in the next movie. Or, you know, we could do a Luigi's Mansion flick, which I will pay to see 50 times in the theater. (Or or, we could go really darkhorse and ask for a Super Paper Mario film, but I doubt we'd ever be that lucky). Anyway, that really was my largest complaint of the film - we needed MORE LUIGI and MORE CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT FOR LUIGI. LET MY BOI BE INDEPENDENT.
9/10, taking off a point because I just want to see my boi on screen at all times. I had a blast (and showed up in my lowkey Mr. L outfit!)
SIDE ORDER THOUGHTS
I beat Side Order last night after 3-5 runs and after sleeping on it here are my thoughts (spoilers ahead)
The first ten floors (inital tower) is insane. Not only does it serve as a good tutorial but the dialog and tension is such a good hook
When I got to the first boss, I didn't look to closely and just thought "oh we're fighting Octavio again as the first boss? He's here? OK cool" it was infact NOT Octavio lol. I even took a screen shot before the boss fight and looking at it, yeah definitely not Octavio lol
Honestly so glad the Marina wasn't the main villain, and I'm glad she tags along in the elevator
Speaking of Marina, her and Pearl are so in love here. Like I shipped them before but now with their dialog, the dev diary, even Marina's computer screen being Pearl, they're so canon
Shipping aside, honestly think that the dialog is one of the strongest aspects of this mode as we learn more about the memverse and the character dynamics
I also love Acht, no need to further explain, they're just so cool
Person who's only rouge like experience is hades: man, this is just like hades! (This is a joke, I only said that on vending machine levels)
The levels themselves are fun, all be a bit repetitive at times. It is a rouge like but there 4 different level types (minus bosses) and limited floor design, then again, I've only played 3-5 runs and half of that was with Agent 4's pallet
A little disappointed that agent 4 didn't show up in the flesh but I'm a firm believer that Parallel Canon is supposed to be clones of them because of the matching hair styles with your own and with the completed pallet of 4, Order mentioned that Marina wanted 4 to be security for the memverse so I'm taking those crumbs
Also kinda disappointed that we didn't get more Off the Hook and Dedf1sh songs but the ones we got were good. I like how ebb and flow is kinda like Off the Hook's equivalent of Calimari Inkantation lol
Continuing with music, I like the music but felt like I didn't get to appreciate as much because I was so focused on the level (this is a me thing but still)
Order is a cool villian, bit generic but still cool, I like how his boss fight was foreshadowed as a locker item (it's an in universe Switch game, I forget what's it's called)
In the last phase of Order's boss fight, I got splatted a few times and luckily there wasn't life count so it just gave the option to continue or give up and every time I hit continue I thought "omori did not succumb, agent 8 did not succumb" lol
The credits were beautiful
This is probably the first splatoon story that I'll aim for 100% because there is still a lot to know and learn
Inkopolis Square as a reward was predicted but welcomed, it's really cool to see what has been built up since Splat2
ISO PADRE IS HERE, HE'S FREE, MY MAN IS FREEEEE!!!!!!!!!
A little disappointed that the grate the originally lead to Splat2's story mode is just covered a manhole cover unlike in the plaza but that's just a nickpick on my end
Shout out to that one octoling beside the claw machine saying they miss squid beats, we all do
Honestly still shocked at how fast I beat Side Order lol
Overall, I enjoyed Side Order. Personally, it was a bit underwhelming but I'm satisfied. Like I said, I'll probably be trying for 100% cause the dev diarys, pallets and collectables but for what's it's worth, it's good
Ninternia: The Ultimate Elemental
Labyrinth Under Lyra
"What I don't get is how an ancient artifact is hiding in the most high-tech city in Ninternia. I mean, just look at the place!" Ren said, gesturing at the floating planters, flying cars, and drones.
"I'm hoping that's what this man will tell us," Atalie replied, studying a holo map. "Ju told me he'd know where it is, though we may have to pay for the information."
"This the place?" Churro asked, hooking a finger at a small pawn shop. Its sign read "Incognito" on it in a fancy golden script. The windows were full of shiny objects, each clamouring for attention. A sound like a cash register announced them opening the door.
"Welcome to Incognito, where the prices are so low, it's a steal. I'm Inieto the thief, I mean, chief of the store. How can I help you?" The lively voice belonged to a middle aged man with rust colored hair hiding under under a wide brimmed hay. He had a brown, darting eye, and a unique looking eye patch. His orange, brown, and grey-green clothes were a strange combination that somehow worked. He looked a bit like a futuristic pirate.
"Hi, we're looking for-" started Katara.
"Say no more! You're looking for a pair of die that roll themselves."
"No." she said.
"A mouth brow?"
"No, and what is that anyways?"
"I've got it! A glow-in-the-dark lamp!"
"No! And isn't that what lamps do?" Katara said exasperatedly.
"Well, if you're not buying, are you selling?" Inieto gave her a once over. "Thirty bucks for the armbands. What are they called?"
Katara looked like she was about to punch him. Clay looked like he was worried she was going to punch him. Ren was trying not to laugh. Khan had given up and was full blown cracking up. Jaya, Churro, Atalie, and Cyrus just looked out of place.
Clay stepped forward before Katara could do anything. "Actually, we're looking for a place. Ancient, booby trapped, probably in the sewer system, sound familiar?"
"And as far as I know, she just calls them her armbands," Ren added, only to get stared at. "What?" He asked a question. "It'd be rude to leave him hanging."
"An important question too," Inieto said. "A flashy name is half the reason people buy stuff. I'm going to call them technobands."
"They're. Not. For Sale." Katara growled.
Atalie jumped in this time. "Inieto, a man named Ju sent us here, do you have what we need?"
"Oh Ju, Why didn't you say so?" He asked. "Pay up." Atalie sighed, but slid a stack of bills across the counter. Inieto picked them up, and set them in the cash register.
"I have a couple assistants who can take you," he said, slipping into the back. Ren looked around the cluttered shop while they waited. The windows had most of the interesting stuff. Small trinkets like keychains and magnets lined the first few isles, and decorated the counter. There was also some jewelry inside the glass case. Shelves towards the back were stacked with plain cardboard boxes, some open, other's taped closed. Ren was just about to take one down when Inieto returned with a pair of ragged looking kids.
The first was a boy of average height, and dark hair and eyes. He wore mismatched sneakers, torn jeans, and a beat up hoodie. He studied them with a sharp intelligence, and carried a book about religion, covered in doodles of a kid with an arrow on his head, and a man with a weird hat and potted plant.
The second was a shorter girl with messy brown hair with red and blond highlights. She had bright hazel eyes and those kind of cheeks you just wanted to squeeze. Despite the fact that she probably had as much money as her friend, her clothes were somewhat nicer. At the very least, her shoes matched, and her short dress wasn't torn, though her leggings were.
"You know where to go." Inieto the kids. "Good luck tourists. It's a strange place you're looking for."
"This is it," the girl said, stopping at a huge arched entrance branching the main sewer. The kids, had taken them to the back of the store, then down a manhole cover. Ren had lost all sense of direction as they'd wandered through the twisting pipes, but he did know he wished he was back up a the surface with Atalie and Churro. It stank down here.
"Careful, the walls are hard to see in there," her companion said vaugely.
"What was that supposed to mean?" Khan asked as they watched the couple walk away.
"Like the mind, the labyrinth has many obstacles obscuring the center, both physical and not. The truth can lead there," Cyrus stated.
"Sorry, huh?" Ren asked. Apparently the nindroid had been reading an inscription above the entrance.
"What is that supposed to mean? Why can't people just give us straight forward warnings!?" Khan complained.
"To keep out people who don't think, like you," Katara replied. The others laughed at that. Well, except for Cyrus. He didn't have much of a sense of humor.
"Well, come on. We'll figure out the warning as we go," Clay said.
"Left or right?" Jaya asked.
"Left, I'm a maze champion, so know what I'm doing" Ren bragged.
"Lead the way then," Jaya told him. He went straight in, choosing each turn without much thought. The others followed, no questions asked, trusting him to lead them to the center.
I knew I could impress her! Fake it till you make it right? Even though I have no clue where we're going... Maybe I should-
"Ow!" Ren shouted, jumping back and causing a bit of a pile up.
"What happened?" Clay asked, hauling Katara up.
"There's some sort of block up ahead." Ren rubbed his forehead. It'd felt weird, like someone had stabbed his mind, but the wasn't possible, right?
"What are you talking about?" said Khan, walking forward. "There's nothi- AH!" He suddenly clutched his head, and scrambled backwards.
"You were saying?" Katara smirked.
"This is most likely what the inscription was referring to when it said 'both physical and not.' Not all the walls we can see," Cyrus observed.
"So that's what the boy meant!" Clay exclaimed.
"I'll take the front," Jaya said, "No reason for you to get zapped twice."
"No! I, uh, I'm fine!" Ren responded in a rush. "Didn't even feel it!"
"Are you sure?" she asked, concerned.
"Of course!" he answered.
Even though I now have pounding headache, but the look she gave me was all worth it...
After another ten or so run ins with invisible walls, Ren was beginning to think otherwise. The maze had already spun him around so many times, he couldn't lead them out if he tried. As for the see through barriers... well, whoever had come up with them certainly had an imagination. Some of them attacked his mind like the first, but others were just impassable. A couple of them even managed to shock him.
"I'm the Guardian of Lightning," he moaned the second time this happened. "How come I can be electrocuted?"
"Most likely because you have yet to unlock your powers," Cyrus stated.
"I knew that," Ren grumbled, taking a left at random.
"You sure you're okay?" Clay asked worriedly.
"Of course!" Ren replied faking a smile. "I've fought against gangs, and a bunch of other stuff. No pain, no gain, right?"
"When did you do that?" Khan raised a brow.
"Oh I've been protecting the innocent my whole life," he bragged. "Even before Sensei finished my formal training, he been sending me out on missions and whatnot."
"Huh, he never did that with me," said Katara skeptically.
"Maybe you weren't good enough, no offense" he added in a rush. He got the distinct impression she could beat him.
"Maybe you could give me some pointers, Jaya suggested.
"I'd love too!" Ren exclaimed, grinning.
"How about after we get the hilt?" Clay interrupted." You're a maze champion too. Are we almost to the center?"
Oh yeah, I forget I said that. Uh... This way feels right-
"I believe we came from there," said Cyrus.
"I was, um, just, uh, testing. You. Yeah." Ren lied haltingly, only to receive some strange looks. He gave them an awkward smile, but winced as he turned away.
Maybe I should just come clean...
No, they believe me, and they like me.
Jaya likes me.
They think I'm a hero, not some nerdy junkyard boy who's only good at video games.
It's what I always wanted, why ruin it?
"Dead end," Khan noted as they reached a wall of solid stone. They began retracing their steps, Ren now in the back, only to find an extremely confused Katara, who had been in the back now turned front.
"This wasn't here before, right?" she asked, gesturing to a wall blocking their path.
"Correct, I do not recall a wall at this location." Cyrus set his hands on the barrier. "I may be missing many of my functions, but my memory is perfectly intact."
"Hm... I wonder if..." Clay trailed off as he kneeled down, and set his bare hand against the floor. Since unlocking, he'd stopped wearing gloves. "I... wow..."
"What?" Jaya wondered.
He got back to his feet, running a hand through his hair as he looked around. "I'm not sure how, but the maze is changing. I can't sense it clearly, but I can definitely feel movement."
"Excuse me, but I thought you said you could feel movement." Khan interrupted.
"I did," Clay replied." The walls are changing spots as we're standing here. Whatever path we took to get here is gone now."
"Okay, I need a break." Ren sat down putting his head between his knees. "HOW ARE WE SUPPOSED TO GET OUT OF HERE!?!"
"You okay?" Jaya asked him.
Calm down Ren.
Don't undo the progress you've made.
"I'm good, just doing, uh, vocal exercises!" he improvised. "Studies show they help the, um, thinking process!"
"Huh, I didn't know that," she said.
"Well, questionable science studies aside, does anyone remember what the inscription said?" Katara said.
"Like the mind, the labyrinth has many obstacles obscuring the center, both physical and not. The truth can lead you there," Cyrus recited.
"I thought we already figured that out." Khan complained " It was talking about the invisible walls."
"There could be a deeper meaning," Jaya commented.
Katara, who had scratched the riddle out on the floor with a blade hidden in her arm-er technoband, said, "I want to know what the first part means. Why compare a labyrinth to a mind?"
"Maybe because they're both... Uh, confusing?" Ren guessed.
"Very helpful" Khan said, voice dripping in sarcasm.
"Well, I don't see you coming up with anything" Ren countered.
"Guys..." Jaya warned, and with that, they both shut up.
"Perhaps he's on to something," Cyrus mused. "It can take awhile for people to trust others and admit the truth." Ren coughed, averting his face.
"So what you're saying is, to get through the maze, we have to be our true selves, " Khan said incredoulusly. "What does that even mean?"
"Maybe we just have to admit something we usually wouldn't." his sister said, standing up. "My name is Jaya Lenori, and... I'm tired of living in my brother's shadow." She gave Khan an apologetic look. His lips twisted in a strange way, and he avoided her gaze. Before any of them could say anything a turquoise light flashed, leaving a force field hovering an inch or so off Jaya's skin
"Huh," she said, tapping the sheilding. "I guess it worked."
Clay straightened, "I'm Clay Brooks, and... I'm sort of addicted to cake. To the point where I refused to eat anything else for six months when I was a kid." Orange light the same color as his powers flashed. The others stared at him as he rubbed his neck sheepishly.
"Okay then," Khan blinked. "The name's Khan Lenori, and I'll admit I should.... er, think more?" His shielding was red.
"You think?" Katara teased, only for him to swat her with a laugh.
Cyrus looked thoughtful for a moment before he said, "I am called Cyrus Julian,  and... Rali makes me feel... strange."  A white light enveloped the nindroid.
"We're going to talk about that later" Khan grinned. "Your turn Kat."
Katara bit her lip. "My name is Katara Anakari, and... fire is my greatest weakness?" She looked relieved when a silver light poured over her.
"Too bad you're hanging around the Master of Fire then," Khan smirked.
"You mean Guardian," Jaya corrected.
"But master sounds cooler!" he complained. As the sibilings argued Clay turned to Ren, who had been staying quiet for a change, and was huddled on the floor in the slim hope he wouldn't have to do this.
"Your turn," the older boy told him.
Just great The ONE time I want to be ignored, I'm not. How ironic.
"I, uh, can't think of anything," he muttered, hugging his legs to his chest.
"Just say your greatest fear or something," Katara advised.
"I'm afraid of... dying?" he tried, but it sounded like a question.
"I do not believe that counts," Cyrus observed.
"Come on, there has to be something," Khan said. "Embarressing school story? A really weird dream?"
"We won't judge you if that's what you're worried about," Jaya added.
"I- I don't know..." Ren averted his eyes.
Katara raised a brow, then shot a look at Clay. He nodded and grabbed Cyrus while she got Khan, and they dragged them several turns away.
"Hey! What are you-" Khan started.
"Oh, shut up," Katara told him.
Great, we're alone. Thanks Katara.
About five minutes ago, this would've thrilled him, but now? He couldn't think of anything he wanted less.
"Um... I just, uh, wanted to apologize if Khan, er intimidates you or anything." Jaya mumbled. "But you've fought gangs and whatnot, so I guess that wouldn't bother you..."
"Yeah," Ren winced.
"What I'm trying to say is that I think you're pretty cool, and having a weakness or something won't make me think any less of you," she finished.
This is what I wanted.
                I did all this so she'd like me.
                                        So why aren't I happy?
Because you didn't do it right.
            She likes the guy you pretended to be not who you are.
                              Why did I do this?
Now I'm holding the whole team back.
Jaya caught the look on his face "Did I say something wrong? I'm sorry if-" "
"Stop, just... stop," Ren interrupted, "I'm the one who needs to apologize."
"For what?" she frowned.
He took a deep breath. "When I saw you in the courtyard that night, I was convinced you were the prettiest girl I'd ever seen. The more I've gotten to know you though, I've realized you're a lot more than pretty. You're smart, strong, thoughtful, and so many other amazing things that... that I'm not. I didn't think you'd ever like me so... I made up a bunch of stuff to impress you." He dropped his eyes, unable to look at her out of shame. "The truth is... I'm just a boy from a poor family, that grew up on a junkyard. Sensei never gave me missions or anything. The only thing I'm really good at is playing video games." He shut his eyes, waiting for how she'd take his confession.
"So... Almost everything you've told me was a lie?" she asked.
"I'm sorry. I shouldn't have done this to you. It wasn't fair or right," he answered, glancing up at her.
She shook her head. "Ren... I don't even know what to think right now, let alone say. I never... I can't believe... Even if..." She looked at him helplessly.
".... it's... it's okay," he replied and as he said it, he realized he meant it. "This, none of this, is your fault. It's mine, and I'll have to live with it, try to make up for it. And, for what it's worth, I still really like you, and... I hope that, maybe someday you might feel the same way about me." As the last word left his lips, Ren threw his head back, a wave of perfect clarity crashing over him. He could sense the electrical impulses in his body, in Jaya's, even the others who weren't anywhere nearby. He could feel the electrical walls, and all the power running the city above them.
"Whoa, wh-what's going on?" Jaya stammered." Your eyes are... Glowing. Are you okay?"
Khan chose that exact moment to storm in, followed closely by the others. "Okay, that's long enough, What's-" He noticed Ren's glowing eyes. "Oh, come on! I can't believe you of all people, unlocked before I did."
Clay cracked a grin. "Welcome to the club buddy."
Ren smiled, but still felt overwhelmed by all he could see energy surging around him. He his friends, still covered by various colored shields (his was yellow), but he also saw lines of white light zipping day their bodies. It was like...
Oh duh, it's electricity. I'm such an idiot
He quickly glanced around. Then he saw it. A symbol floating several feet off the floor set in a glowing wall that hadn't been there before. He reached out to touch it.
"What are you doing?" Cyrus asked unable to see the wall.
"You can't see the symbol? It looks like a circle of lightning bolts," Ren said. As soon as his fingers brushed it, he felt as if he had to do something. He visualized a surge of power, and felt the energy gather at his finger tips, then it burst into the wall.
"What symbol are you- "Khan started, but then was cut off as the formerly invisible wall flared with blue light. "Oh. That one."
"Look, there are lines leading this way," Katara noticed, heading down the passage way. Ren shook his head as the light faded from his eyes, and the world returned to normal. He couldn't sense or see the electricity anymore, but he did feel it pulsing within him, especially in his hands. He touched his thumb and index finger together, and flinched at the resulting jolt of power.
I'm going to have to be careful with this, he grinned. He noticed Jaya giving him a strange look.
"What?" he asked, feeling uncertain.
"I still don't know what to think about you, but..." she tilted her head. "Want to race?"
"You're on!" He grinned, breaking into a run the same time she did.
"Hey, wait for me!" Clay laughed, chasing after them. Soon enough they were all racing through the maze, teasing and taunting each other even Cyrus and Khan.
"I win," Katara gasped, skidding to a stop in the center of labyrinth.
"Not... Fair," Khan panted.
"How?" his sister asked, running in.
"I'll... figure it... out... later" he muttered between gulps of air. Ren laughed as he looked around. They were standing in a room similar to the one the scabbard had been in, except it was circular. The walls were once again carved and decorated with various symbols, and the hilt was on a dias in the center of the room. It was silver with alternating strips of black and blue leather padding the handle. The pommel looked like a leaf or claw grasping the bottom of the sword, and the crossguard was slanted, encircling two, small, sapphires on either end. Where a blade would usually be, there was a slot, waiting for the next piece.
"So... do we just grab it and run again, hoping it doesn't collapse, or does someone have a plan?" Clay asked,
Cyrus walked over to it."I am not sure if- oh, that works." Ren had pried a gemstone the same size out of the wall, and switched it with the hilt in one quick move.
"I figured if there was a trap, it'd be triggered by a pressure plate, so I just did the same thing we did to get pass the last vault." He muttered. "It's no biggie."
"It was smart," Katara complimented. "Now let's head back to the Temple. We got two of the pieces this time, we'll get the rest soon."
It was well past midnight when the exhausted Guardians, and their guides, stumbled into the Temple. Only five days had passed since they'd left for Diamond Canyon, but it felt like so much longer.
The drive back had been sort of uncomfortable since Ren has taken the opportunity to confess. Clay, Katara, and Cyrus had all forgiven him, but Khan wasn't happy, and Jaya... Well, she wasn't talking to him, which hurt, but he knew he deserved it. At the end of the day though it was good to be back. The Temple wasn't home exactly, yet it was a place they could relax, regroup, recharge, and plan their next journey.
"You made it!" R.A.L.I. welcomed them, having stayed at the Temple of Elements to watch over it while Ju was gone. "Did you retrieve the scabbard and hilt?"
"We did," Atalie said, pulling the scabbard off her back while Churro pulled the hilt out of his pack. As the three of them studied them, the teenagers stumbled in, the boys falling asleep on the first available surface they found, except for Cyrus, who joined the blade study group, while the girls brought the bags to their respective rooms.
I should help her but... would she want me to?
After a moment's indecision, Ren dragged himself off the couch and grabbed a backpack, and duffel bag out of Jaya's hands.
"Let me help you." He said, but when she frowned, he barreled on. "Look, I get that you're mad at me, and you have every right to be, but you have to be as tired as I am, and I can't let you carry our stuff inside by yourself."
A corner of her mouth twitched. "Both of those bags are mine. I just wanted to unpack before going to sleep, like Katara is. Your stuff is over there with the rest of the guys' things."
"Oh! l, uh..." Ren blushed, handing her the bags. "Sorry, I just..."
"It's fine," Jaya told him. "If you want to help, you could grab Khan's pack." He nodded, and grabbed her brother's stuff, following her to the room she and Khan shared.
"Why's this so heavy?" He groaned.
"Hair products."
"You're kidding, right?"
"Nope."
He shook his head in amazement as he set it all down on bedroom floor, looking around in curiosity. He noticed that most of the room seemed to be done in Khan's taste. There was a bunk bed, just like his and Clay's room, with red sheets on the bottom and blue on the top. One of the walls were painted a bright crimson, with mirrors, posters, and shelves filled with random knickknacks. There was a guitar with an amp sitting in corner, and video recording equipment in another. The only thing that was out of place was a worktable by the door in several books about mechanics, and some new looking parts and tools.
"Is this... yours?" Ren asked, picking up a screwdriver and messing with some of the stuff.
"Yeah, inventing's always interested me. We used to run a blacksmith stop, but I've been trying to learn the more technical stuff," she said. "I'm sort of stuck though."
Ren showed her a spinning propeller he'd hooked up to an engine. "I could teach you, if you want. I picked up some stuff from my dad."
"I'd... like that," she said, reaching for the little fan, but their fingers caught. Ren froze, not sure what to do. To his surprise she set his invention down, and shifted her fingers so that they twined with his. He looked at her a question he was too shy to ask shining in his baby blue eyes.
"I... I've thought about... everything, and I want you to know... I feel the same way," she said slowly, "but... with everything that's happening, I don't know if I'm ready for a serious relationship, y'know?"
Ren paused, taking in her words, hardly daring to believe what she was saying. "What if... what if we just try it? We can take it slow if you want."
Jaya smiled, the moonlight from the window making her hair shine with silvery light. "I was hoping you'd say that." She closed her ocean blue eyes, and leaned forward.
OH.
MY.
ELEMENTS.
IS SHE ABOUT TO-
Shut up, he told himself, closing his eyes.
BOOM
At the loud noise, they jumped apart a second before their lips touched. Exchanging a glance, they both slipped out of the bedroom, heading to the living room, where they were met with a bizarre sight. Atalie was in a fighting stance, holding the hilt like she'd forgotten it was missing a blade, while Cyrus had his hands raised, and Churro had fallen off his chair then rolled the table with R.A.L.I. Khan, who had been sleeping on a stood at the counter jolted awake only to trip on Clay's suitcase at his feet. Speaking of the Earth Guardian, he was holding the coffee table above his head, facing the recently, slammed open front door along with everyone else.
Standing on the threshold was a little girl dressed in a black gi, and cape embroidered with a twisting emerald dragon the the same verdant hue of her eyes, the only color she had. Her skin was ghostly pale, and her braided hair was as dark as night. She was ragged, her clothes torn and unkept, her face dirty, her hair a mess, and her expression was hard, cold, unreadable. Ren decided she looked like a cross between a vampire princess, and a zombie ninja, or, in other words, scary, unnatural, and dangerous.
"Soran's been captured," she said in a voice that sounded far too adult-like for a kid.
"Who?" Ren asked, completely confused.
Supernatural Rewatch S1E6 Skin
Is the color balancing this bad for the whole series or is it just the site I'm watching it on? Everything's so washed out.
*wheezing* oh my god I forgot Sam being like "oh I'm an innocent college student just like you but Dean's totally a cop" to convince his friend Becky they could help. Like these two really just spout off the most insane stories about each other to strangers and the other one just rolls with it.
It hurts me watching Sam try so hard to maintain friendships outside of hunting and Dean be convinced he shouldn't. Because Dean couldn't.
The random leanings into animals being aware of the paranormal is kinda hilarious in this show with it being so inconsistent. Like right here, this one dog's aware of Shit Going Down with the murder. But this only comes up at random intervals.
"That's not like any camera flare I've ever seen" Sam says. Have you looked at much video, Sammy? It's. This is random eye shine.
Okay but fr what ARE they doing there at 5:30 in the morning? Also, can Sam stop bitch facing for two seconds and answer the question instead of dragging everything out?
What made them think the ambulance going by had anything to do with their case?? This is in a city. Ambulances go by all the time, unfortunately, for good reasons and bad.
Why do these two keep having conversations about their cases in broad daylight in public? It's a wonder they weren't caught more often than they were. Or were the cops just over there like "yk what we don't get paid to go after the crazies that we don't have a current crime connected to." Also why didn't they get in worlds of trouble opening a manhole cover, again in broad daylight on a busy city street right next to a crime scene?
Can Sam quit bitching and just acknowledge that Dean's right about the lying to his friends bit and how bad it can go?
Sam can't see shit apparently, and also can't aim.
Again, these two should be in worlds of trouble for fucking around with manholes in busy public areas.
Sam walking around trying real hard not to tip anybody off, meanwhile Dean just runs down the street with a gun in hand. How many times has he been arrested?
Ok props to Sam for calling the shapeshifter on his shit so quickly, but also be a little more decisive bro this is how we end up in shitty situations.
Jensen's acting is phenomenal. I also think it's interesting how the shapeshifter (from Dean's POV, speaking from Dean's memories) says "I know I'm a freak." The stress pattern there on just the first "I", as if it isn't that Sam's actually different - it's that Sam doesn't know, refuses to know, that he's also a freak. And it's that ignorance that lets him have that shot at a normal life, it's that ignorance that Dean's jealous of. Then we get into Dean's abandonment issues, straight into the deep end, the shapeshifter pretty much confirming that Dean's sluttiness is a substitute for the real connection he wants but isn't getting from anybody.
What the hell was the yell back there when she screamed, Jensen? It wasn't even like, a Menacing Roar noise, he just fuckin yelled the same way lmao, it's so funny
why is the makeup identical on every woman the shapeshifter's attacked this episode. I could swear every single one has had the bandage wrapped around the head, bruising on the cheeks, three lines of blood dripping down the right shoulder, hair caked in the same spot . . .
I remember the shapeshifting scene really hitting me in the creepy feelings the first time I watched this but this time I was just fascinated by how much Jensen's changed over the years. He packed on so much more muscle over the next four years alone.
They really just like tying these men up don't they? And Dean is so much more relaxed about it than Sam is, and there's so many fun headcanons you could pack into that. Is it angst? Was he just trained to it? Or does he just Like It?
"Did Jessica know?" "No, she didn't." Yeah, because you weren't. doing it then. Sam. "What can I do, it's my family" you're literally only back because you've got it out for Jessica's killer, it's still about you, mfer. Why do you try to pretend it's for Dean?
Do they ever go back to St. Louis? I could swear they do. Shouldn't it come up more that Dean's wanted for murder there? They had the one season where the FBI were hot on their tails but then the angels started getting involved and we suddenly got a whole lot less of the consequences of the boys' actions.
Raised Separately
Master Post
PROLOGUE
There once were four young turtles, all four different kinds of turtles, who were mutated. Their human DNA, Lou Jitsu, tried to get away with all four of them, but unfortunately, he could only get away with two of them. The two he left were still in the clutches of evil Baron Draxum, who wanted to turn them into warriors for his own mutant army.
Lou Jitsu didn't want to leave them behind, but he had to if he wanted to get any of them out alive. He just hoped that Baron Draxum didn't turn those sweet, innocent turtles into anything too bad.
He couldn't look back as he ran, knowing he would be ridden with guilt if he did.
He held the other two turtles in his hands, looking down at their adorable little faces. He had to get them all somewhere safe, where they wouldn't be found. He couldn't go back to his mansion. It was too obvious.
He spotted a manhole cover, and climbed into the sewers as quickly as he could. He ignored the smells and grime as he looked around and nodded to himself. He walked through the sewers, exploring them, trying to find a perfect place to make their new home.
He eventually found it. A large and empty place that was so far out of the way, you'd have to be really looking for it to find it.
He put the two turtles on the ground gently. They needed names, but what...?
The smaller turtle spotted an old pencil on the ground. How it got there, no one was really sure. The turtle crawled over to it, and picked it up, and began scribbling on the floor, as if trying to draw something.
Lou Jitsu sat and watched him for a bit, confused on what he was doing. Once he was done, he set the pencil down, and looked at the drawing, nodding to himself. It wasn't very good, as he was just a tiny newly mutated turtle baby, but it was clearly meant to be a person and his kids.
"Is that us?" Lou Jitsu asked.
The small turtle looked up at him, and nodded with a small smile.
Lou gently picked him up and smiled. "It's amazing, Orange."
The kid clearly had an artistic eye. The drawing wasn't much, since he was only a small child, but it was clear he had something going for him when it came to art.
"I know what I will call you. Michelangelo."
The small turtle, now named Michelangelo, clapped his hands together a few times, showing he liked the name.
Lou picked up the other turtle. "And you I will call Raphael."
Michelangelo looked at Raphael, and smiled at him. Raphael smiled shyly back then looked up at the man who saved him and his brother. Michelangelo also looked up at the man who saved them. He wondered what was going to happen next.
"I'm L—" Lou stopped himself and smiled. "I'm Splinter. I'll be taking care of you."
Michelangelo nodded. Even though he didn't know exactly what that meant, he still understood it somehow. Raphael nodded as well and yawned. Michelangelo yawned as well, feeling a bit tired.
"I should put you two to bed, shouldn't I?"
Michelangelo yawned again, leaning his head into Splinter's chest tiredly. Splinter cooed softly and laid down. He left the two rest on his chest and sleep. He had to give these two the best life he could offer them.
They were his kids now.
Hehehe 😈
So I'm assuming u haven't seen rottmnt or rise of the ninja turtles, there for ill introduce u to the guysss
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Purple is donnie(15 anõs)
Blue is leo(15 anõns
Orange is mikey (14 anõs
Ralph is red (16 anõns
Now we got that out of the way- the one on the left of the pic is nex and right is spacey
Note this gonna be a rlly long story so bear with me-
So the guys found spacey first before nex, so they got separated while defending themselves from a another gang and out of panic he climbed into a manhole and ran as fast as she could so anywhere to rest. He was badly injured so he had to messily fix himself up- then next she knew he was in guys lair in a bed (cause chairs are uncomfortable) with 4 turtles and 1 human above him. She immediately panicked cause in a unfamiliar place he covered his face and ears, rolled up into a ball, pressed a button saying " hello I am scared and afraid, I have adhd, and can be easily overwhelmed please leave me be please and thank u"
After awhile she calmed down but wouldn't speak to them (cause when he's usually overwhelmed he won't talk for awhile so he has a button that's similar to the panic button in the show) then after a good long while of waiting his brother showed up and almost immediately attacked ralph (big = most dangerous in his mind)
Spacey Is closest to mikey, and leo while nex is closest to ralph and donnie. When the guys first offered both of them food they didn't eat since they had to rationalize food they both thought they also did it too (of course they told them no and they ate too much and threw up-
Spacey has a star blanket that no one is allowed to take, sleep or even touch. One time leo thought it was mikey's and grabbed it spacey had full breakdown cause he couldn't find it. Went nonverbal for a few hours- ralph tried to wash it once (cause it was stained with blood and dirt-) told spacey beforehand and she sat in front of the dryer and washer waiting
So they're hairs are dyed and when the guys were first met them and asking them questions they all thought it was natural hair-
Nex will over work him self out (similar to donnie-) so often ralph will have to drop them off in Spacey's room or in a spare room-
Sometimes spacey will have some pains (mostly soreness from like fighting-) so he'll chill with mikey talking about crap or drawing, or he'll be with Leo bullying him
💥Movie spoilers 💥
So- (this is after the movie-) spacey and nex got separated from eachother then both got ganged up with some of the kkrang nex ended up ok but spacey almost died and got injured on his arms and hands so to quickly fix it she messily wrapped it (with similar wrapping from the guys black wrapping-) so fast forward to leo getting fixed up, spacey wouldn't allow anyone to fix it seeming that he was ok (didn't liked people working about him) so leo or mikey had to do it but (I head canon that mikey doesn't like blood-) and leo was badly injured so ralph had to do it with the help of nex. In the end she cried through out it and didn't talk for several days-
Adding onto the story, he immediately cried cause 1, her injury was on his side so more than likely his sweater was missing 2, her arms were showing, spacey really hates how his arms look like (has chicken scratch skin look it cause I'm lazy-) and just doesn't like them so double overwhelmed
There's more too them I swear I'm just lazy-
THIS TOOK ME A LONG TIME TO READ-
I have seen the movie a long time ago but i know nothing else
This is a lot of info-
I kinda just called them the turtles with Italian painters names lmao-
Drafting Rivers. How It's Made
It was Monday morning when I took that local train. Quite a long one, around three-hours journey. I will likely be the only foreigner inside when it starts departing. A bunch of high school students filled up the train. I enjoyed watching their keychain hanging on their backpack. A lot of cute characters and my mind was full of wonder, imagining what kind of person are they by the keychains they owned.
Tumblr media
This journey started after I confessed to a friend how I felt emotionally exhausted in my current “home”. It was a good hiking day we took when the sun shone brightly and the breeze of the mountain took both of us leaving the town down there, escaping the reality by the humming while Elton John’s Rocket Man played along. Yes, we both are in search of a "home". We felt and know the exact emotion that is caused by our current "home". There is a question that came up, something like, "Are we gonna be someone else, hiding our real feelings, hiding our true wills, collecting all the recognition, even if we don’t feel it’s right, in the hope of better "home"? Looks like I am the stubborn one. I knew what I was gonna choose even in the coming soon days. It’s a sad hard choice—I can’t say what others choose is wrong. I experienced it as well. You know, when you stay because there is no choice. It’s really hard. Before we said goodbye that time, I got some info about the beautiful local train route. It could lead me to the beach in Shizuoka and seems as if my soul had a strong calling to follow this route. The keychains still swinging as before 8 am they all get off at Ichikawahonmachi station. It's their school station likely. The train continues the long journey again. Passing by some station I like the name of. Passing by a big river with a sparkle on it. Passing by a green bamboo forest with an old couple that got in and took a seat close to me. The song in my earphones keeps looping. Sounding the one which I always listen to. Feel relieved after kind of running away from "home". It was nearby Shizuoka when a foreign couple came and seat across mine. I thought they were cool. They also took a local train and chose the long journey as I do.
Tumblr media
When it finally reached Shizuoka, the clouds appeared and covered the one that I wanted to see, Fuji-san. I kept my eyes on the side that I was sure it was there. Hoping the clouds will disappear a little bit. For a moment, the train track surprised me with a view of the city from up the hill. It was a beautiful moment. And there, not so long after, I saw Fuji-san! Still shy under the clouds but I knew it greeted me with a huge smile as I also did. After Fuji-san left behind, my train stopped at the last station. There we are to our destination. I already screenshot the way I should take for today's walk. It was around 5 km. I look around and take it slow as usual. Immersing new place as an alien that came from far away. I saw a small veggies farm with a huge soramame that was ready to harvest. The manhole cover also shows a new look with Fuji-san and another one with Princess Kaguya, I believe. It's so nice being in a new place where you know nothing a lot about it and decided to explore it by yourself. The hot sunshine made me swing by to the Seven-Eleven. Went a bit for the toilet and bought yummy sweet coffee milk to celebrate the day while walking. It was quite a hot day as I opened my brown jacket and put on my blue hat.
I walk through the direction until I reach a sign of the place I want to go. Some wild grass covered along the way as the road changed into sand. My face was full with a huge smile when I heard the waves. It's there finally! I arrived at the place where the Fuji River met the Pacific Ocean. The vivid colour of both of them gave me a goosebumps. I sat on the driftwood and enjoyed the breeze over my face. Today's bento is a roast sausage, a simple sandwich and our sweet Seven-Eleven coffee milk. I found some vibrant stones while enjoying my lunch. Putting on the big stones close to me and planning to bring them back as a souvenir. A little dog comes by with a smiley woman. Playing around its feet with the water and running across to the sand. There are some surfer afar, enjoying their sunny day with the waves. I like the place like this, seems quiet yet every corner has its energy.
Tumblr media
Finally, it's the time. I put out my drawing and looked around. Feeling the sadness that still and always be there these past couple of months. Or maybe way far long before? I said to myself, yes it is as it is. I hold my Nokia phone after putting in my drawing inside the water. Letting it drown with a plastic bag and stones that holding it on. My tears came, my hands a bit shaken, and my knees got tired. But the sun shines beautifully, the wind blows gently yet steadily gets harder, and the river, there it is already. 5 minutes shoot. One take that I don't even know what it is for.
Tumblr media
I was quite shocked when realized no one was on the beach. I likely sat quite long after shooting the video. Quickly packing and going, I saw some young fisherman with their fishing gear, joking around and walking towards me. It helps me feel at ease again. Walking back along the way before, taking another route to the station, found some things that made me stop a bit to enjoy, until I was on the train again, back to another three-hours journey, where the sunset accompanied me. Where the old man across me enjoyed his fruit and wine which was funny because he seemed a little drunk and peeling the apple with a knife as it was his kitchen.
Tumblr media
As the train closer to that station. I have decided already. I am leaving. I am stopping it here. I am dropping it all here. I will say it all here as well. It's likely will be the worst in 20 years. It's likely will be muzukashi. But I am happy. I am happy that I am standing up for myself and for other artists who chose to stay. They stayed because they had no choice. It’s not easy to come to this "home". We are all in our process.
Tumblr media
As with drafting the rivers, the stones will stop us at some point, yet the flow of the waters remains. Even at its tiny phase. It's still there.
Out For a Walk
The warm water fell gently on my battered and bruised body. The water drops came down like in a warm summer shower. Even though they were soft, each and everyone sent a new wave of pain rushing through my body.
My ass was the worst. She took no mercy on it. Now it throbs and can feel the heat building in it. From the reflection in the large bathroom mirror, I can see it starting to turn purple.
I reached and turned the handle off and the last drops continued their touture. Pulling the towel off the hook, I dried myself very carefully. Each wrong move was met with a scream from my body.
I heard Miss call me from the other room. When I went into the shower she was putting on her makeup for a night out. She must be done now and ready to go. Finishing drying off, I headed out into the suite. She sat on the arm of the oversized chair. The same one she bent me over and pegged me.
“Now pet, we will be going out for the evening. Your Miss already picked out your outfit, some come over here so you can see it,” she said with a soft smile on her face and with a wicked look in her eyes. I took a few steps over to her and waited in front of her for my next command.
“Before your Miss lets you get dressed, you have some other stuff you need to wear. Bend over my lap my precious pet.” I followed my command and rested my tummy on her legs. Her hands slowly moved up and down my body. “Look at the wonderful job I did on you. You look so yummy.” I heard her sigh,” They do look like they hurt. Let’s put some lotion on them to make them feel better.”
The cool lotion squirted onto my ass cheeks. She softly and slowly massaged the lotion on my bruised ass. Her hands worked all over it. Even between my ass crack. Her fingers slid along my rim, lubing them up. Her hand pulled away and then I felt the pressure of a plug being pushed into my ass. Within a second of it being in the familiar vibration started. She put in my hush and now is playing with the rhythm intensity.
She gave me a light slap on the ass and said,”Don’t worry slut, I will not have it on the whole time. Not stand up.” I popped to my feet. “You are such a good pet,” she commented as I stood.
Before I could move away, she grabbed my cock and balls. “So, you remember when we spoke about you and a cage?” I nodded with feeling my face reddened. “Well, I got you a surprise, my dirty slut.“ Before I could answer she pulled it out of her bag and had it wrapping around my manhole, which was growing into its new restraint.
“Fuck Miss,” I finally was able to bellow out. “We spoke about this but just to…”. She cut me off with a slap to my nuts.
“Now my pet. You know that this is what you need. That you Miss always knows what you need. So, stop your bitching and say thank you cause I got a special cage.”
Looking down at her I could not believe she did this. So quickly. Caging me. I also couldn’t believe I did not fight her.
She locked me in and picked up her phone again. “So, this one has a remote control just like you but plug,” As she said the words she turned on the cage. The whole thing vibrated. And then she started playing with the settings. The hum was quiet, but every square inch of my cock and balls felt the vibration.
She turned it on the highest setting and my knees buckled. I’ve bent over her. My head fell into her shoulder. The pleasure radiating from it was that intense. Then it was gone. She turned it off. I slowly try to compose myself. Looking down at her I can see the thoughts racing through her mind on how much fun she was going to have with this.
“ OK pet, we’ve had enough fun. Let’s get you dressed so we can go out and have a meal. I laid your clothes out on the bed. Go put them on. Chop chop,” She ordered as she gave my ass a light playful smack. This again sent waves of fire through my body, but I loved every minute of it.
On the bed there was a sheet covering what I guess to be my clothes. I bent down and pulled it back. What is revealed was a pair of black pleather pants, A black mesh shirt And a black jacket. On the floor by the bed was a pair of black dress boots. With my bruises it took a little time and a lot of groaning to get the pants on. They were tight in all the right places but still had my flexibility in them. The shirt was also tight and I was glad to cover it with the jacket. Only the boots would be something I would normally wear.
“ You look amazing, slut,” I heard her say from behind me. Then I felt her hands on my hips pulling me close. Her right hand drifted up under the jacket and started teasing my nipple. Her left hand went South and squeezed my cock. “These are not the only items you were aware of for me tonight, pet.”
She let go of me and walked to a box on the table. She looked over her shoulder just to make me squirm. Smiling and letting her hair flow as she turned and headed back to me.
She handed me the box. “I think you are going to love this pet. Open it up.” My hands were shaking as I put the box on the bed. What else can she do to me? I pulled the ribbon off and opened the box. My mouth dropped.
My hands reached in it and pulled out a mask. Not any type of mask, but a leather one that looked like a dog. I stared out of it and looked back at her. Back to the mask and back to her.
“Do you like it, pet.” I was speechless so I just nodded. “Then I think you need to put it on.” I paused for a moment and she snapped,”Now Pet!!” This shook me from my daze. I turned the mask and placed it over my head. It was a nice tight fit. I strapped the buckle under my chin. Now I felt like it was part of me.
As she reached the box she said,” you forgot something.” Holding up the bone gag. Reaching round my head she gagged me. Then she pulled out the leash from the box and placed it in the loop of my collar. “Come pet, let’s for for a walk.”
So paused at the mirror by the door. “Look how good you look slut. What a perfect pet you are.”
She lead me to the elevator and we headed down and out through the lobby to the Vegas strip. I could see the people starring. Pointing. People taking pictures. The whole time you led me with your head up high. Showing me what powerful my Miss has.
She led me in and out of shops. Talking to all sorts of different people. She let them play with the remote. Driving me crazy. I was beyond horny and she knew it.
As we walked back to our hotel she whispered,” when we get back to the room I need you to fuck me hard, slut!!!”
The long nights were always freezing in the lair. The guys were out on their usual patrol while I stayed behind. My training with Splinter ended an hour ago so I’ve just been laying on the couch throwing my stress ball up into the air then catching it as it fell down. I had the blanket I stole from Mikey’s room draped over me as I watched Space Heroes. The time ticked on while waiting for the boys to get home, and I started to grow more worried.
I grabbed my T-phone that Donnie had created and started texting Mikey. ‘Hey honey bunny, just wanted to check up on you to see how you and your brothers were doing... Text me back whenever you can and be careful out there. Love ya!’ I looked at the message for a bit waiting to see if he would respond, he usually responded quickly, but unfortunately no response. Okay, maybe he’s in the middle of a fight and can’t look at his phone, right?
I sat up causing the blanket to fold down onto my lap. I stared at my T-Phone hoping the text bubbles would pop up. Even if he was in a fight he would call and start saying random hoopla while fighting the enemy… I tapped the side of my T-Phone then made up my mind. I tossed the blanket off of me and sprinted to the dojo. I grabbed my chain sickle off the wall and made my way to the exit of the lair. I’m on my way Honey.
I know that I was probably exaggerating but if anyone knew Mikey better, it would be me. I know the way he messages and how he talks in said messages, especially while in fights. So to not hear from him in so long just made me freak out just a bit. Okay well maybe a lot since I’m going out to find him. I climbed the ladder up the manhole cover pushing it open. I pulled out my T-Phone once again to track where Mikey and the others' last location was.
When I looked at the map I could only see Donnie’s, Leo’s, and Raph’s locations, where was Mikey? I followed the dots jumping from building to building. I’m human but the training with Splinter has made me into a somewhat okay Kunoichi. As I followed the dots I noticed they weren’t moving. I hope they're okay… When I made it to their location, I saw their figures on top of a warehouse. I squinted my eyes as to try and see better and I saw the four… EATING PIZZA!?
I stared at the four in front of me and felt my blood start to boil. ‘Are you KIDDING ME!?’ I jumped off the building I was currently standing on. I know for a FACT Mikey is amazing at multitasking so why the shell didn’t he message back... That turtle is gonna get it… As I walked over quietly not to make my presence announced just yet, I hid to listen to what exactly they were doing.
“Guys come on, this isn’t funny!” I could hear Mikey pout to his brothers. “We know it’s not funny Mikey, It’s just cute, that’s all,” Leo reassured his little brother. I cocked an eyebrow at his statement and leaned a bit closer. “Yeah, pretty cute little bro, but you gotta show her more of a good time than that!” Raph grabbed Mikey and gave him a knuckle sandwich. “Statistically speaking studies have shown women tend to love cutesy stuff like that Mikey, so I believe it’ll be a hit!” Donnie chimed in while taking a bite of his pizza. “You think she’ll love it? But even if she does, that wasn’t cool for you to make my T-Phone self-destruct Raph!” Mikey pouted while also taking a bite of his pizza.
“Sorry but knowing you Mikey you’d probably would’ve ruined the surprise so I had to do it lil bro.” Raph crossed his arms smirking as he looked at Mikey, something told me it wasn’t just that but anyways. Leo shook his head and looked at Mikey placing a hand on his shoulder. “Whatever the case was, I’m sure Y/N will understand why you didn’t respond to her message and when you do the surprise she probably won’t be as mad.” Leo smiled softly, it almost sounded as if he knew I was listening? I noticed his other hand casually giving me a signal to ‘go’, how did he!?
“Yeah, thanks man! Oh wait! We should probably get home before she starts worrying! When she's worried I get worried then Icecream kitty gets worried AND IT’S NOT GOOD!” And as if Leo’s signal wasn’t que enough, Mikey’s words were. I quickly jumped down from the warehouse roof and started hightailing my way back to the lair. Please slow him down a bit Leo! I may be a Kunoichi but the guys are still quicker than I am! Making it to the manhole cover I came out of, I quickly made my way down.
Once I finally got down the ladder I ran back to the lair jumping over the train turnstiles grabbing my chain sickle and tossing it somewhere I can worry about later. I grabbed the blanket and tossed myself onto the couch turning the tv on to make it seem like I was still watching a show. I took a deep breath to stop looking like I just ran a marathon and acted normal.
I glanced over and witnessed the guys jumping over the turnstile. “Welcome home!” I greeted while sitting up, I was about to stand before Mikey swiftly made his way in front of me striking a little pose. “No need to get up Baby Cakes, you keep relaxing.” Mikey gently ushered me back to the couch so my back was placed against the cushion. Mikey kneeled down in front of me causing me to slightly gasp. There is no way this is what they were talking about… “Before I start with anything else, I just wanted to say I'm sorry for not answering your message… RAPH blew up my phone, so blame him.” Mikey smiled up at me as he placed his hands on my lap.
“Hey! I had a reason to!” Raph commented as Leo nudged him to shush, Raph just rolled his eyes as he scoffed while Donnie just chuckled. “Hush Raph, l am trying to chat with my sweet pea.” Mikey looked back at his brother sticking a tongue out as his older brother just glared then left the lair not wanting to ruin the moment, yet. Mikey turned back to Y/N smiling softly yet seeing a hint of nervousness from his body language.
I witnessed Mikey sigh away the nerves as his eyes met mine. “I have a surprise, and I hope you’ll love it. You trust me?” He asked as I watched his eyes search mine for an answer. “Of course I trust you, Honey.” Mikey shot up to his feet and gave a little happy dance but then became serious. He clapped his hands and smiled towards me. “Just go with it.” Mikey winked as Leo made his way over. “M’lady” He smiled while gesturing his arm out to me.
I looked at Leo slightly questioning the gesture. I softly giggled taking his arm looking back at Mikey who just had a huge smile before running out of the room not giving me a chance to ask what was going on. I looked back at Leo as we made our way to Mikey’s room, Leo just looked back at me with a gentle smile. “You sure made it to the lair pretty quick huh Y/N? I’m glad you didn’t interrupt when you got there, Mikey was very excited about this plan of his.” He spoke softly as I just chuckled nervously. “I didn’t want to let my emotions completely take control of my actions without knowing the reason. How did you know I was even there by the way?” I asked as he just chuckled and winked. “I have my ways~ Now go ahead and get changed. There's a dress picked out already on his bed. I’ll be out here if you need me.”
I gently released Leo’s arm and made my way inside Mikey’s room. As dress? why a dress? As I shut the door behind me I glanced at his bed and saw the dress zipped up in a black sheik bag for protection. How did I not notice this before when I came and took his blanket? He had to put this in here after I took the blanket. I carefully unzipped the bag and saw the most beautiful dress I've ever laid my eyes on. In fact it was the one I kept talking to Mikey non-stop about. He’s such a hopeless romantic and it swoons my heart with love. I held the dress up as I looked it over once more before putting it on. Slipping the smooth fabric on was easy, I didn’t even struggle to get it on. It blows my mind that he remembers such small little details about me… I zipped up the back and looked at the dress in the mirror. “Beautiful.”
The dress was a peachy tone of orange, the sleeves of the dress resting on my arms below the shoulders and the length of the dress reached the middle of my legs just a bit above my ankles. I spun a bit seeing the dress open beautifully and so gracefully once I did. He really is such a sweetheart… I looked at my neck noticing that something was missing to fit such a beautiful dress and I knew just the accessory. I walked over to his comic shelf and saw the gold chain necklace that had Mikey’s full name engraved on it laying on the said shelf. I grabbed it gently and placed it nicely on my neck, clipping it to the hook before looking at it resting on the center of my chest.
I quickly slipped on the matching blocked heels. I then opened the door revealing Leo who now had on a white button-up, blue tie, and black dress pants with matching dress shoes. I smiled gently at him while glancing down at the dress picking up the sides a bit to do a curtsy. “You look wonderful Y/N” Leo smiled as he too gave a bow then proceeded to hold his arm out again for me to take it. I softly snaked my hand around his arm as we both made it back to the living room of the lair. Once we got there Donnie was waiting beside the shell razor wearing a white button-up, black dress pants, black dress shoes, and purple suspenders. Mikey stood next to him wearing a full black suit with a white button-up underneath and an orange bowtie. It’s always so breathtaking seeing him. His eyes lit up once he saw Leo and I make our way over.
“You look absolutely beautiful Y/N! I knew that dress would look amazing on you!” Mikey spoke looking at me up and down to admire the outfit and once he noticed the necklace his eyes shined like tears were going to come out. I loved his reactions, they always made my heart flutter. “Thank you Mikey this was such a lovely gift but what’s the occasion?” With that Mikey just bowed slightly holding his hand out for me to take. “If I told you it’ll ruin the surprise princess, now shall we~” He smiled up at me.
I smiled dearly down at the orange turtle as I released Leo and grabbed hold of Mikey's hand. “If you insist, my prince.” I giggled slightly as Donnie opened the door to the shell razor rolling his eyes but also smiling at Mikey and I. Mikey helped me into the vehicle as he entered behind me. I glanced around the truck and it was decorated with pink and red streamers with hearts around the wall. The seats were rearranged to form the inside of a limo. Mikey and I took a seat while Donnie shut the door heading to the front to drive. Leo waved us goodbye as we departed the lair. I held Mikey’s hands in mine as we drove to our destination. “You’re gonna love this! I got everyone to help out! I can’t wait to see your reaction Lovebug.” Mikey giggled while swaying side to side in his seat. I could only giggle at the anticipation of what's to come. Then the shell razor came to a halt.
“We have arrived at the destination, lovebirds,” Donnie spoke as he stood up opening the door. He pulled out a controller and pressed a button as a red carpet rolled out. “Your surprise awaits.” He turned to us as he helped me get off carefully while Mikey just patted his shoulder. “Thanks bro, I owe you!” Mikey smiled as Donnie just glanced at him. “We can talk about that later, for now, enjoy your time with Y/N little brother.” Mikey nodded and took hold of my hand as we walked down the red carpet seeing Raph and Slash standing at the doorway of the warehouse. Slash wore a dress jacket that had ripped on the back due to his shell, meanwhile Raph wore his white buttoned slightly giving the bad boy vibe as always, black dress pants and black shoes. He added black sunglasses to add more to his vibe.
I giggled at their attire and hooked my hands around Mikey’s arm. We both made our way to the doors and Raph and Slash opened them for us. Glancing at the building I realized this was the building they were on before I overheard their plans. Is this what they were doing on ‘patrol.’ As we walked inside the interior was only being lit by candles scattered around the room. In the center, there was a table for two with a red tablecloth and rose petals scattered around it. The two shut the doors behind us as Mikey and I made our way to the table. Mikey gently released my hand and pulled my chair out for me to take a seat. Once I sat down he scooted me in then took a seat as well. “Michelangelo… You never cease to amaze me” I smiled lovingly at him as he gave me a goofy grin back. “You like it? The guys and I worked all night long to set this up.” He chuckled while scratching the back of his neck.
‘That’s why he didn’t message me sooner… Aww baby!’ I felt my heart tug softly placing a hand on top of his. “You're such a blessing in my life you know that.” Mikey looked at me before blushing a shade of pink, smiling wider. “If only words could explain how much I felt about you, since you know w-words aren’t easy for me at times. Heh.” He spoke softly as we soon stopped to see Doctor Rockwell with a soft frown but I could tell he was trying his best. He too wore a dress shirt and a black bow and held a small notepad and pen acting as a waiter.
“May I take your order.” Doc looked done with the whole extravagant date. “We’ll do one large cheese pizza!” Mikey smiled at Doc then at me. Doc closed his notepad and walked away from the table. Leatherhead then proceeded to walk over to our table. He only wore a white collar and a black bowtie. He poured Mikey and I glasses of water then tried to smile. “Thank you Leatherhead.” I smiled gently up at him while Mikey giggled. “Thanks Leatherhead” Mikey patted him on the snoot then he proceeded to leave the table. “Mikey, I can’t begin to explain how wonderful this is. The lights, the scenery, the people, and you did all of this for me?” I brought his hands to my lips gently kissing his knuckles. “Only for you Honey Bee.” Mikey smiled warmly while melting into my touch. “Thank you Michelangelo, but I have to ask again, what’s the occasion?” Before Mikey could answer, Doc dropped our pizza on the table. “Enjoy.” He stated while walking away.
I giggled as I looked over at Mikey. “Looks like he’s enjoying this more than us huh? But you were saying?” Mikey just looked away rubbing his neck once more, his cheeks still the pink shade. “Well, Donnie did tell me that today was a special occasion or day I should say, so I thought maybe it would be a good idea to celebrate it with you. Since you know it’s um... let’s skip over that, how about we just dig in!” He spoke out nervously and grabbed a slice.
I giggled nervously at his nervousness. Special day huh? Wonder what day it is, it’s not our anniversary, that's not till October… I watched Mikey eat a slice of pizza thinking about the possible days it could be. Then, a spotlight shined to the side of us showing Pete and a bundle of pigeons, as well as Leo on a stool with a top hat and guitar. Pete had a musical conductor in his hand as Leo brought the mic closer to him. “Ehuh, this is a song um, Mikey wanted me to play so uh, here it is, I guess.” Leo spoke out while starting to strum a slow song on his guitar while Pete conducted the pigeons to sing a melody. Mikey’s face lit up as he stood from his seat quickly wiping the food off his face. “Come on Y/N, Wanna dance with me?” He asked sweetly while reaching his hand out to me. I smiled and nodded at his gesture while I took his hand and stood to my feet.
As Mikey and I made our way to the open floor, he held me close. One of Mikey’s hands held mine while the other wrapped itself around my waist. I had my hand around his shoulder while slowly swaying along to the melody. “Where did you learn how to slow dance Mikey?” I asked as I lovingly gazed into his eyes. “Shh Don’t tell Raph, but I had him give me some lessons. I was surprised to know he could slow dance, let alone dance in general.” Mikey giggled as I giggled along. “Well, you are wonderful at dancing Mikey. I can’t believe how lucky I am to have you Michelangelo…” I kissed the tip of his nose while he glanced up at me. “H-Hey Y-Y/n…” He looked away slightly as his face flushed a pink shade. “Yes Michelangelo?” I used my free hand to move his face slightly to look into his eyes.
“W-Will you be my valentine?” He spoke softly with nervousness shaking in his tone. My eyes widened slightly as I gazed into his loving eyes. “Forever and always Michelangelo.” We both smiled, feeling warm by each other's embrace. His arms held me closer as his eyes fluttered closed, mine following along. Our lips met softly and gently causing sparks to fly as we held each other close. As we pulled away our foreheads met with our eyes still remaining close. “Michelangelo” “Yes Y/n” “I love you” I spoke sincerely with all the passion I had welling in my heart. I could hear him chuckle sweetly as he gently squeezed me. “I love you too, Princess.”
Post credits
“Are you two done? All this lovey-dovey sappy moppy bull is making me sick.” Raph and Slash stood at the door looking disgusted as ever. “And what’s up with this top hat? I mean I was alright with the first half but this?” Leo took off the hat and twirled it around examining it. “Awe come on guys, I think it was cute! Plus the bread is delicious here!” Pete spoke out while flapping his feathers.
“That’s because you like that kind of stuff plus bread was involved…” Doc spoke once more looking annoyed with the idea of him participating in this. “I believe Pete is right, Michelangelo did a wonderful job in surprising his love. I think this was very romantic of him.” Leatherhead spoke kindly, his hands resting on his knees looking at the others. “I had to drive them here so that was something, I preferred it that way instead of letting Mikey drive if I’m being honest.” Donnie leaned against the open door joining in on the others conversation. “Other than that I didn’t mind the rest really.” “That’s because you were in the ShellRazor the entire time, and this is something you would do with April.” Raph glared at Donnie who only glared back at him. “Oh you wanna go there huh-“ “Excuse me! I’m trying to have a moment here with Y/N so can you please be QUIET!” Mikey shouted as he smiled afterwards. “Thank you!”
Day 7-Secret Santa (Donatello)
I haven’t finished the 2012 TMNT, so i’m sorry if it’s a bit ooc, but I did my best! And apologizes that it’s a day late.
Word count: 1370
Tumblr media
As luck would have it, you got your crush as your secret santa. Honestly…you think Michelangelo rigged the drawing. He knew about your crush, as did Donnie’s other two brothers. Mikey had been trying to get the two of you together ever since you met the brothers.
Now was the hard part…what to get him. You wanted it to be practical, something he could get a lot of use out of. Maybe…a toolbox? He had a wide array of tools, but to your knowledge he didn’t have a sorting box. That’s it! That’s what you were getting.
“Jeez…that’s really expensive.” You were at the supply store looking for a good organizer, but everything was just so darn expensive. “Oh well…he’s worth it.” You muttered.
After spending the majority of your spending money, you had purchased the organizer. It was plain, but you figured you could paint it purple. Luckily the store also had spray paints.
You realized the organizer was too heavy to move yourself. It had wheels, but man it was so heavy. Deciding to call one of the boys, you settled on Leonardo. He would help without complaint.
He answered the call with a “hello, what’s up?”
“I need your help moving Donnie’s present…would you be able to get one of the boys to keep Donnie in his room until I can paint and wrap it?” It would be easier to paint it at the lair, your apartment not being big enough to have such a large supply box.
“Sure, send me your location. I'll be there ASAP.” You sighed in relief. He was going to help. You were seriously going to have a meltdown if you bought such an expensive gift, only for it to be too heavy for you to move.
Using all of your strength, you wheeled the organizer into the alley by the store and sent Leo your location.
It didn’t take long for him to get there, and he greeted you with a “Wow…you really went all out for this, huh?”
Your face turned red, “Of course…I really want him to like it.”
He gave you a smile that you could barely see in the dark of the alley, “He’d like anything you got him. He likes you too, you know?”
As the red on your face continued to get darker you replied, “Still…I want it to be something he can use. Something helpful. He’s got so many tools, it only makes sense to get him a toolbox organizer.”
You looked around for the nearest manhole cover, but upon looking at the toolbox, it would definitely not fit into the grate. “How are we going to get it to the lair?”
Leo hummed, looking at the organizer as well. “Well…luckily it’s dark out, I can help you push it to the lair’s surface entrance. It’s only a few blocks away anyways.”
And with his help, you had managed to get the present to the lair.
“Is Donnie in his room?” Not wanting to spoil the surprise, you asked.
“Raph’s actually out doing patrols with Donnie and Mikey. They said I was staying to help Master Splinter make us all dinner. Which I will do after I get you set up in the dojo.”
You looked to Leo with a grateful smile “Thank you so much! You’re the best!” You gave him a hug, and helped him move the organizer to the dojo.
“I’ll be right back, I’m gonna get some newspaper and wrapping paper for you.” He left, and was only gone for a minute.
“Thank you again Leo, really.” He returned your smile and patted your head.
“Anything for my future inlaw.” He gave you a wink and left, leaving you to process the comment.
Grabbing the paint bottle, you began your work. It didn’t take long, the spray was actually rather pigmented so the color was nice and vibrant, just how you wanted it to be. It dried rather quickly as well, so you did a second coat, just to be safe.
Your paint ran out just before you finished the second coat, but all you had left was the back, so it didn’t show much anyways.
“Phew! All done then.” You said to yourself. Now all that was left was wrapping. It didn’t take long, the organizer was square shaped, so it wasn’t hard to wrap.
“Leo! I’m done!” You called to him, letting him know it was ready to move to the corner of the dojo with the other presents.
“Be there in a sec!” He called back. He must be working on dinner with Master Splinter, like he said he would.
It got you wondering…who was your secret santa? You were excited for Christmas, it would be your first Christmas with everyone. Even Casey and April would visit for a while after having Christmas with their families.
Christmas came around sooner than it felt like, and you were sitting in a circle with the boys, and April.
April got a potted plant, one of her favorite hobbies was taking care of her plants. Casey got a new hockey stick, Mikey got comic books, Raph got new weights, and Leo got a meditation manual and tracker. You got a Ninjutsu book, about the basics of the fighting style.
Donnie was last in the circle. “Is that a huge present for me?” He asked with wide eyes.
Mikey laughed, “Duh! It’s the last present!”
Donnie rolled his eyes at the response and walked over to his gift. He wasted no time unwrapping it, clearly excited to see what it was.
“It’s a tool organizer! Thank you so much!” He made eye contact with you as he said thank you…did he know it was you? “I’ve needed one of these for a while, this is such a thoughtful gift, I appreciate it.”
The rest of the night went well, you all watched a couple Christmas movies together, and it was a lot of fun.
You sat next to Donnie, and without realizing it the two of you got closer…and closer until you were touching. None of the others seemed to notice, too caught up in the movie.
Donnie whispered to you, “Thank you for the gift.” So he did know.
“How did you know it was me?” Now not focusing on the movie, you both faced each other, knees touching.
“It was thoughtful…and Mikey is terrible at surprises. He told me you got me something big, and all the other presents were small, so it wasn't hard to piece it together.” He smiled, and you returned that smile.
Annoyed at Mikey for ruining the secret, you threw a pillow at him.
“Hey! What was that for?” He gave you the puppy eyes that he has long mastered.
“Ruining my surprise.” He at least had the courtesy to look sheepish.
“Sorry…”
You still sent a glare towards Mikey, but he went back to watching the movie.
Feeling Donnie get closer, you looked over to him right as he placed a kiss on your forehead.
It was short, but both of you turned away from each other with red faces.
“S-sorry. I don’t know what came over me…” Donnie rubbed the back of his neck, as a nervous tick.
“Don’t apologize…it was…nice.” Your face now the shade of a tomato, you looked over to Donnie and very quickly kissed his cheek. “There…now we’re even.”
His eyes were wide and face was getting darker and darker in a blush.
“Would you…maybe…wanna go on a…date?” He seemed hesitant to ask and avoided eye contact.
“I would love to!” You smiled wide, glad that he asked you. You’d been harboring feelings for him for months.
Mikey yelled “FINALLY!” And he threw the pillow back at you. “You were so slow, it’s about time you got together.”
You both tried to stutter out an answer but nothing came out, embarrassed to be put on blast in front of everyone.
Donnie was the first to manage to get a few words out, “Mikey…we aren’t together. Not yet anyways…” He muttered the last sentence and you couldn’t help but smile.
Not yet, he said. Something told you…this date would go well. And there would be many more to come.
Cupbearer (Eren/Reader)
Tumblr media
Part III
Part I
Part II
Part IV (in progress)
Warnings: MINORS DO NOT INTERACT (im watching you, if you see this, begone!), vampire!eren, hunter!reader, fem!reader, smut, some amount of predator/prey dynamics but only kinda?? there is also a significant age difference but only cos eren is immortal and all that jazz. we're all adults here. there will eventually be smut.... and do i really need to say that there's gonna be blood in a vampire fic?
Description: A story of falling in love in 4 parts.
Eren is a bad man (well, a bad Creature) who has done bad things. When he meets the great-great-great granddaughter of one of his former friends in his favorite blood bar, however, he thinks it might not matter so much what happened in the past, so long as he can make the future something worth living to see.
Ao3 link here
After that night, it became increasingly hard for (Y/N) to leave, and for Eren to let her do so.
Something between them had changed. There were moments— when Eren would press feather-light kisses against her forehead, when he would casually leave a cup of her favorite tea where she would find it— where (Y/N) felt as though her heart might burst. It was all the little things that baffled her, all the ways in which he seemed to understand exactly how she felt; it was as though he knew her more than she knew herself. On the mornings that she would wake in his bed, sleepy and sticky and wholly content, (Y/N) wondered what it would be like to have this life forever.
Other days— on days like today— she was reminded exactly why that could never be, and it broke her heart.
Today, they had planned a romantic dinner in the park, an evening under the stars. It was supposed to be something special, a little getaway just for the two of them; they had wanted to leave as soon as (Y/N) was relieved from her patrol, so Eren had moved her things to his place, hoping that they could leave together from there for their evening alone.
In and of itself, that was fine… but when (Y/N) came in, covered head-to-toe in viscous Creature blood, Eren was furious.
“And you call me a monster,” he growled, looking her up and down with hate in his eyes. “I can’t believe you.”
He stood from his seat on the sofa, and (Y/N) began to back away, still wary from the fight she had narrowly escaped from unscathed. Her every instinct told her that she should run, fire a round of silver bullets into his chest, but she steeled herself, doing neither.
“It’s not my fault— they were attacking a civilian,” she told him as he stalked towards her, his face twisted into a horrific scowl. “I tried to stop them— tried to find out what was going on— but then they came at me with their claws, and I was left with no choice.”
“There is always a choice,” he snarled, and it was then that anger filled (Y/N) from the soles of her feet to the crown of her head. "They were probably terrified of you— how could you possibly blame them for lashing out?"
(Y/N) grit her teeth.
“This, from the man who thought genocide was his only option to the same problem?”
Eren made a low, warning sound in the back of his throat, but (Y/N) pressed on.
“You would rather me have died?” she demanded, stepping into his space. “Would it have pleased you more for my body to bleed out on the pavement, ripped to shreds by an aggressive werewolf? Would you even care, or would you just find the next blood bag and move on with your life?”
“Maybe so,” he shot back, “Then I wouldn’t have to deal with your insufferable mouth.”
That stung— but if there was one thing (Y/N) knew how to do, it was to strike back twice as hard as she had been struck.
“Fine then,” she said, turning on her heel. “I won’t bother you any longer. I’ll go out and find someone who actually wants my company, someone who’ll fuck me good and proper over the counter at some hole-in-the-wall bar over on Easy Street, someone younger, with a nicer cock and less fucking baggage— ”
She didn’t get to finish the sentence, or even walk a single step further— Eren grabbed her by the hair and pulled her to him, his fist painfully tight against her scalp.
“Wanna say that again, to my face?” he asked, tilting her head back.
“I’ll go find someone else to fuck me,” she spat, struggling in vain against him. “I’ll spread my legs for the next available schmuck in the closest bar I can find, so you can hear me scream his name and not yours.”
It was a low blow, to threaten a vampire’s claim on something they had previously assumed had belonged to them, but (Y/N) didn’t care. She had almost died today, and she’d be damned if she was going to take shit from anyone about what she had to do to survive. If Eren wanted a fight, she would damn sure give him one.
“Like hell you will,” he told her, pulling her head back so that she had to strain to remain standing. “You’re mine. Flesh of my flesh, blood of my blood— you are my Companion.”
"I belong to no one!"
Those words ripped from her throat and echoed throughout the empty house, and it was then that Eren stopped, looking at her with calculation in his gaze.
"You're right," he said, releasing her hair. "No mortal can serve two masters, lest they love one and despise the other; an archaic religious concept, but an accurate one nonetheless. You've made it abundantly clear where your loyalty lies. I was a fool for thinking otherwise."
(Y/N) began to tremble. "Eren, what are you saying?"
"I release you from our pact," he replied coldly, his eyes so dull and lifeless that it sent a chill down her spine. "No longer are you bound to be my wine-press— I free you from me."
"Eren—"
"Go," he commanded, and (Y/N) felt terribly, horribly empty.
Once, he would have told her to come freely, go safely, and leave something of the happiness she brought him; now, he gave her a cold dismissal, and it frightened her more than she was willing to admit. Still, she went, feeling hollow and used, and she didn't bother to shut the door behind her as she turned to walk home, weary from the day and sick from fighting.
***
Armin had lived for a very long time, but even so, he had yet to meet anyone so foul of temper as Eren when the Hunger was on him.
"Eren, you have to feed."
The vampire, as ill in health as in temper, glared weakly at him. "I'm not hungry."
"But you are Hungry, and don't pretend like you don't know what I'm talking about. Look, if this is about that girl—"
"I told you not to speak of her!"
Ah, so it was about her. By the looks of him, it had been two weeks since Eren had fed; Armin would bet that he hadn't seen her in the same amount of time.
"If I need to, I'll drag her here to make up with you myself," said Armin testily, "I refuse to watch my best friend starve himself because he refuses to feed on anyone else."
"You will not touch her."
Armin rolled his eyes, but didn't say anything further. He just patted Eren's arm in farewell and set about finding the little lady who was the root cause of his current consternation.
It took longer than Armin had anticipated to find the young woman who had, for all intents and purposes, completely unraveled Eren's composure; her scent, while thick and memorable in Eren's apartment, was hard to track otherwise. Armin spent two hours just wandering the city while trying to catch a breath of it here or there, and when he finally did manage to catch a whiff of her scent and follow it to her, he understood exactly why it had been so hard to track her down.
The girl was a Hunter, of all things.
When Armin found her, she was knee-deep in sewage, her knife embedded to the hilt in the skull of what appeared to be some species of winged reptile. Armin, having been a tad desperate and not actually having been expecting to find anything when he lifted the lid to the man-hole on 32nd and Main, was surprised to say the least— and when (Y/N) ripped her knife free and readjusted her stance into a defensive one directed at him, his surprise turned to intrigue.
“Er, hello there,” he said, scratching the back of his head. “I don’t suppose you’ll take my word for it that I just want to chat, will you?”
Curiously, the words gave the woman pause. She relaxed her stance ever-so-slightly, and then her eyes lit up with recognition.
“Armin Arlert?” she queried, craning her neck up to see him. “Is that you?”
This one grows curiouser and curiouser, he thought, but responded affirmatively.
“Can you give me a bit, then?” she asked, kicking the corpse of the Creature she’d just killed. “I’m not exactly fit for company. Perhaps we could meet later for a discussion over tea?”
“I’m afraid it’s urgent,” he said as she knelt to decapitate her prey— likely for proof of victory. “I think you know why I’m here, so you understand that time is of the essence.”
She didn’t look up at him as she replied.
“If this is about Eren, then I don’t have time to talk.”
Her tone was hard, bitter, and matter-of-fact, and it reminded Armin so much of Jean that it hurt… but just like Jean, Armin would bet that she could be won over by appealing to her inherent sense of human decency
“He’s suffering (Y/N),” he said, awkwardly crouching above the manhole so that she could better see the truth written in his eyes. “He won’t feed.”
“That’s hardly my problem.”
And oh, how well Armin knew that state of mind. If there was one thing Eren Jaeger knew how to do, it was push away the people who loved him most. Armin had dealt with that particularly lovely quirk of his for centuries, and it never got easier to deal with no matter how much time passed. If anything, it got more difficult the older they both got.
“When you’re the solution to a problem, you become a part of it whether you like it or not,” Armin replied, patient and understanding. “He cares for you.”
(Y/N) looked up at him then, fury in her eyes.
“He hurt me.”
Armin shrugged. “He hurts everyone he cares about. It’s just who he is. Nothing comes for free— least of all the love and loyalty of someone as old and as powerful as Eren.”
“Your heart may be toughened to his meanness,” she told him, the head of the creature she’d slain in her hands, “But mine is not, and I don’t like him well enough to willfully remain for him to use as an emotional punching bag.”
At that, Armin couldn’t help but let loose a wry grin.
“No,” he said, “I should think not; but I do think you love him well enough to make sure he doesn’t starve himself to death because he can’t have you.”
(Y/N) was silent for a long moment, then she crossed her arms.
“I won’t come crawling to him. He’s going to have to come to me.”
Armin grimaced. He wasn’t looking forward to that conversation.
“Is that at all negotiable?”
(Y/N) shook her head. “Absolutely not.”
Well, there was nothing for it.
“And you will let him feed if he comes to you?”
(Y/N) thought, then nodded. “If he proves himself deserving.”
Armin couldn't help himself; he laughed. Eren might have met his match in this one.
"Very well. I'll work my magic, and you work yours."
She nodded and bade him farewell, but before Armin left, he paused.
"Hey, (Y/N)?"
"Yes?"
"Thank you."
With that, he left her, ready to take Eren by the ear and throw him at her if he had to.
***
(Y/N)'s heart was racing as she opened the door, knowing good and well who would be behind it.
After her little talk with Armin— and the near heart attack he had given her in the process— she had called in to Zeke and told him she needed to go home to deal with an emergency. A replacement for her patrols had been sent, and she had come home to wash the grim from her skin, making herself as presentable as possible with the time she had. (Y/N) was worried, so worried, that the filth she had been wading in earlier would have left a lingering stench, or even that it had affected the taste of her; she had scrubbed and scrubbed until her skin was raw, hoping to erase every last remnant of her day from her skin…but as it turned out, she needn't have bothered.
Two, three, four hours later, and Eren hadn't shown— it was only now, right at the six hour mark, that he had decided to come to her.
Needless to say, (Y/N) was… less than pleased, but when she opened the door to find Eren pale and drawn, with dark circles beneath his eyes, her heart softened ever-so-slightly. It seemed that Armin was right; he had been suffering.
"You look like shit," she told him quietly, opening her door widely to let him in.
"I assure you, I feel worse," Eren grumbled, but stepped in as she closed the door behind him.
For a long, awkward moment, they just looked at each other, silent and unsure. It was unsettling how unlike himself Eren seemed; he was almost soft when he looked at her, and (Y/N) didn't know how to feel about it. Eventually, though, like two opposite ends of a magnet, they were drawn together, and Eren brushed a piece of hair back from her face.
"Hi," he said, his voice low and rough. (Y/N) caught his hand in hers before it could fall from her hair, and she pressed it against her chest, keeping it trapped there, touching the skin above her beating heart.
"Hey."
They watched each other a moment more before the dam broke between them, and they both spoke at once.
"I'm sorry."
A shared grin, a shy laugh— and then (Y/N) said what they both were thinking.
"You need to feed first, and talk later," she told him, her hand still clasped in his. "You're not off the hook, but I doubt we can have any real conversation with you like this."
Eren nodded gratefully, tugging at her wrist— his usual biting spot— but (Y/N) shook her head, indicating her neck. The thickest, richest blood, she knew, would come from there; and if there was ever a time to be generous with the placement of Eren's bite, she figured that it would be now.
The worst of it was over quickly. There was a brief sting at the intrusion of razor-sharp fangs, and then the vaguely uncomfortable feeling of having something poking down into places that decidedly should not be poked at all, but then (Y/N) quickly eased into the rhythm of the act, focusing wholly on the way Eren's lips felt against her skin. In a few moments, she would become pleasantly light-headed, and then Eren would pull away and look at her like she'd hung the stars. Oh, how she'd missed that look! (Y/N) found herself longing for it even before she quite realized it.
And then, without warning, a vision came, and (Y/N) was swept into another world entirely.
The evening sky rolled endlessly out towards the horizon; it seemed to go on forever, sparkling with more stars than (Y/N) had ever seen before. The full moon was so bright that it cast the whole world in what seemed like silver sunlight, and (Y/N) wondered how anyone could sleep on a night such as this. It was far too beautiful an experience to miss.
Alongside her— alongside Eren, through whose eyes she saw the world— strode Armin and two older-looking cadets who she recognized from previous memories as Reiner and Berthold. Eren was feeling anxious over something, and Reiner and Berthold were… well, they were kind. Reiner especially seemed to be like an older brother, and Eren admired him.
"You'll do just fine tomorrow," said Reiner, placing a large, warm hand on Eren's shoulder. "I'm certain of it."
The memory ended, and (Y/N) came back to herself as Eren's tongue laved over the wounds his fangs had left in her neck, sealing them.
"See anything?" he asked, his breath warm against her skin, and (Y/N) nodded.
"You loved them, too," she said softly, remembering the fondness Eren had felt as though it had been her own. "You loved the Hunters that tried to take everything from you, and— and I think they loved you, too."
Eren pulled away from her, and it was then that she saw the tears shining in his eyes.
"Yes," he replied, his voice broken. "We were children. How could we not love each other as God intended? Hate was never in our nature; it was an inheritance that we couldn't escape."
He paused for a moment, then spoke again.
"I'm sorry I hurt you," he told her, cupping her cheek in his hand. "I lost my temper. I forget— I forget that you're not them."
And (Y/N) understood. She understood that no matter how many centuries passed, there would be wounds that just wouldn't heal for Eren. He would lash out at things that wouldn't make sense to anyone who hadn't experienced the horrors of war as he had. Suddenly, she felt petty for having lashed out as she had, and guilt threatened to rise up and choke her.
"You're forgiven," she replied, leaning into his touch. "It takes two to tango— I shouldn't have baited you like I did. I knew how badly that would hurt you, and that's exactly why I said it."
At that, Eren cracked a grin.
"I expect nothing less from a Kirschtein. Your grandfather would have punched me square in the jaw— and as big as that bastard got when we were older, he probably would have put me on my ass."
(Y/N) couldn't help but laugh, and Eren joined her, their combined joy swelling until there was nothing else in the world but their happiness.
How they started kissing, neither one of them would be able to say afterwards, but in the grand scheme of things, it hardly mattered. Their love was too large to contain, too much to hold back— and it was love, (Y/N) realized, though she hadn't quite put words to it yet. She loved Eren Jaeger, a Creature, a monster, as much as her grandfather before her had and more. She loved him with a desperation that felt like being knocked over by an ocean wave and plunged into depths where her feet no longer touched the sand. She loved him more than she had ever loved anyone before.
And, as he placed her gently on her bed that was barely big enough for two, divesting himself of his shirt above her, (Y/N) thought that maybe she didn't mind it so much as long as he loved her in return.
"I missed you," said Eren, dropping kisses by her ear as he unhooked her bra. "I missed this."
"Me too," she gasped as his mouth wandered to her nipple, her hands fisting in his hair. "Oh, God, I missed you too."
The time for words was soon gone, however; Eren's sinful, sinful mouth traveled lower and lower until he was kissing at the insides of her thighs, parting them to access what lay between, and (Y/N) threw her head back as he spread her open with his hands and sucked brazenly at her clit.
How long he spent there, worshipping her sex, (Y/N) had no idea; all she knew was that she came once from his mouth on her and a second time from his fingers inside her, and when he finally, mercifully withdrew, she was broken down to the simplest parts of herself; there was nothing left but an affection so deep that it threatened to overtake her if she didn't let it out, and she did the only thing she knew to do to release the overwhelming pressure that was building in her chest as Eren pushed his big, veiny cock into her.
She told him what she should have said a long time ago.
"Oh, Eren," she gasped as his cockhead shoved deep inside her. "I love you."
As soon as the words came out of her mouth, Eren went unnaturally still. He looked at her with pupils blown wide inside emerald eyes, and his fangs slightly distended; in any other situation, (Y/N) might have laughed at how surprised he seemed, but it seemed as though she were frozen in time, unable to do anything but stare earnestly up at them, hoping he understood how much she cared for him.
"You… what?"
"I love you," she repeated, her body moving without her permission to roll her hips up into him, moving his cock even further inside her. "Please, Eren, I need—"
He cut her off with a forceful, bruising kiss, and his hips started making slow, deep thrusts inside her, her legs hiked up over his shoulders.
"Again," he said against her lips."Say it again."
"I love you."
Another thrust or two, a hand circling her wounded throat.
"Again."
"I love you, Eren."
"Again."
This time, it was only a whisper.
"I love you," she said, and Eren began fucking her in earnest.
"You are so fucking beautiful," he told her as he thrust hard and deep inside her. "You're every man's dream, a nirvana the damned such as myself were never meant to reach. (Y/N), you are everything, and I—"
He seemed to choke on the words, and (Y/N) kissed him as he tried to regain his composure.
"I don't deserve you," he said, shaking with the force of their passion. "I don't deserve your love."
It's not about deserving, she wanted to say, It never was, but then she was coming again, her climax contracting her walls around her lover, and it was all she could do to remain conscious as Eren fucked her relentlessly through it all, chasing his own high.
It was only later, after a shower and something to eat that they finally spoke again. They were back in bed, and Eren's arm was wrapped around her, as though he were afraid to let her go for even a moment; truthfully, (Y/N) thought he was asleep, but then his breath tickled her ear as he said,
"I love you, angel."
And that, (Y/N) thought, had been worth it all, in the end.
We Met Within This Screen (chapt. 5)
[Donnie x fem reader]
sfw, chapt. 4 here
Tumblr media
Just as Donnie had predicted, the night air was cold on his scales. Right upon leaving, Mikey brought up to Leo going in pairs this time, to cover more ground, he said. An extra thorough patrol. Donnie honestly couldn't make up his mind and so by then he was flying by the seat of his pants, not objecting to Mikey's plan, but also not agreeing. He doubted Leo would be convinced, anyway. They didn't do duo patrols that often.
"I was thinking we could split up this time, you know, me and Donnie, you and Raph?" suggested Mikey, closing the manhole behind himself.
"I thought you liked it when we're all together," Leo commented.
Donnie shot Mikey a look, trying to tell him to cool it, but he shrugged, "Come on, it'll be like some kind of training or...something," Mikey went behind Leo and shook his shoulders, "aren't you into that?"
Internally, Donnie facepalmed. Unless he actively tried to stop this, it was going to happen, wasn't it? One way or another, probably; it all depended on how Leo was feeling that night. Raph was indifferent. He didn't care whether they were all together or in pairs, just that he got to flex his combat skills some. If he could, he'd go out and do it on his own, even.
Leo looked around, considering Mikey's suggestion. "Okay," he agreed, eventually. "You and Donnie take East, Raph and I will cover the usual route and then—"
"No," Mikey interjected. Both Leo and Raph's brows furrowed as they stared at their brother. He motioned toward Donnie, "Me and Donnie can take that, you guys just go on ahead," he smiled. "You know I like checking out the skatepark!"
"No skating," Leo said.
"I'll just watch whoever's there, then." He pouted.
Raph snorted. "Yeah, make sure he actually pays attention, Donnie."
"As usual," Donnie sighed, and looked at Leo.
"Well, what do you think, Don?"
The decision is up to me?
Turns out it was his all along, but he wanted to feign innocence in saying that Mikey was the one to drag him through it. Easier to not take responsibility and let life happen at you rather than making a conscious effort, at times.
"I guess we can do that," Donnie answered reluctantly. He could have said no. Why didn't he? In the corner of his eye, he saw Mikey beam, giving him a discreet thumbs up.
"Alright, meet back here by four AM, and if either of you run into big trouble, call. We'll come," Leo said. "Same for us."
"Yeah, we'll holler for ya," added Raph dismissively. "And nah, a big dog doesn't count as trouble, Mikey." He sounded gruff, but in actuality, he was still chuckling to himself over that years later. After they got over being annoyed that he had called them from that far while they were on a supply run. Chased by a junkyard dog—some of their least favorite parts about visiting those places.
"Hey, it was mean! And way fast!" Mikey protested as they parted ways, them taking to the East and red and blue the opposite way.
As per course, Donnie and Mikey took their normal route, and his heart skipped a beat when they met the scene of their last run-in with criminals. Not because of them, no, but because of the familiar apartment building that was now more intimidating than he'd expected. They circled the area like they normally would have, but Mikey came to stop them on a roof just opposite of the complex, eyes searching each window. Obscured by the height of the building, he sat on the edge.
Donnie didn't know what to do with himself. He stood back a good ten feet, somehow paranoid of being spotted even though he knew it was not possible from their angle in the complex. Mikey was comfortable, and weirdly at peace as he sat there quietly on the edge, assumed to be waiting for his brother to make a move. But Donnie was stuck in place.
"What are you waiting for, D?"
The sudden question broke him from his stillness. It was true; he didn't know what he was waiting for.
"I—I don't know what you want me to do, what are you thinking?" Donnie asked in return, stepping back a little further as he noticed movement behind the curtains of a lit window.
"Get your phone out and talk to her," Mikey told him, waving his hand at the apartments. "What did we come out here for if you aren't gonna make it right, bro? Do some smooth talk, tell her you're sorry and you wanna get to know her better…"
"This is absolutely a ridiculous plan," Donnie said, though as if his hands had thought of their own, they reached for his phone, and a moment later he was looking at the messages. Still nothing. Radio silence on both of their ends. How would he approach it? "I'm sorry I went from hot to cold so fast. Please talk to me again." Too strong. "Sorry, can we get a redo?" Too casual. "I'd like to apologise for being a jerk." Okay, that's just not good. Reconciling was going to be as difficult as he'd thought it would be.
Mikey came over and looked at his phone screen and his brother floundering, thumbs stuttering across the keyboard, deleting the text, retyping it over and over again for perfection where he wasn't going to find any–
"I got this, let Love Doctor Mikey handle it," he said, taking the phone right from Donnie's hand.
"You've never been in a relationship, not even talked to anyone, how would you—"
Mikey shushed him. Donnie was going to snatch the phone away but he spun around, draping himself over his shoulder.  "Just let me work my magic, dude!"
Donnie couldn't watch; he had to turn away. How sure he was that Mikey was going to say something uncalled for, something weird or bone-headed, and the wait was killing him. What if she didn't even respond? Was that better than doing damage control for Mikey's shenanigans? For someone usually decisive, he could not for the life of him make up his mind about what he wanted at that very instance.
The phone vibrated.
Mikey cheered. "Got her on the line, now you just gotta reel 'em in," he grinned, handing the phone back to Donnie.
"Hey :/
I thought you wanted to stop?"
Mikey kept trying to lean over to catch a glimpse of the screen, but Donnie felt that it was a personal moment, so without skipping a beat, he activated the electric current in his staff and poked it behind him into his brother's plastron.
"Fine," Mikey whined. He stepped in one last time, "But don't hold out on me here!"
Trying to find an graceful way to patch this all up, Donnie replied:
"I apologise for that, and I know you probably want an explanation, but it's hard to explain
Moment of weakness?
I guess...
Anyway. I'm not expecting you to suddenly be cool with it, if you don't want to talk to me I understand
Sorry."
Mikey noticed Donnie's dismal expression and he mellowed out accordingly, standing close but not putting a hand on him, nor saying anything. He didn't watch the phone, but Donnie's face and slumped shoulders. He'd thought it would have been going better by now.
"I won't lie, I'm still confused
But if you're going through something, I'm right here for you
Don't worry about it. Just don't give me a spook like that again, I thought it was me
lol
Okay it's not funny but this is a little awkward"
Donnie's heart sank reading that. He'd made her feel bad, even question herself over his problem. Never had he wanted to make her think it was her that drove him off.
"No, no, it was never you
Again, I can't really explain…
Is it okay if we just try this again?
I understand if not."
"Jeez Bo, I already said it's alright
I WANT to keep talking to you, you're cool
So let's forget about it, yeah?
Friends again :) "
And like that, his heart took a leap. A smile slowly spread across his face, and without looking away from the screen, grabbed Mikey by the shell, pulling him toward. "Look at this!" he exclaimed.
"You see it too?" he quirked, pointing at the apartment complex across the road.
Donnie paused and looked over his shoulder at him, "What?"
On one of the balconies sat a lone girl, on her phone, and if Mikey looked hard enough, he could see a smile. Definitely a smile.
"Ah!" yelped Donnie quietly. He scurried back against the wall of the attached building behind him, as far as he could.
"Dude! Come on, this is perfect!" Mikey nudged him, and when he didn't hop up onto his feet, dragged his brother near the edge of the roof. Donnie was boneless but unwilling, his mind stuck on the fact that she thought he was cool. Him, cool. Was he? She didn't know even the half of it. She didn't know he was a martial artist, technically a genius, and that he'd gone against some of the worst the city had to offer. And without that, she still thought he was cool, as an average guy.
As average as what my circumstances will allow me to be.
Feet dragging all the way, Donnie's stomach did a flip as they met the ledge, peering carefully over it in a crouch. They were prone, watching the girl who was completely unaware of their presence. He was, simply put, enraptured, for a second there, studying her features as much as he could from where they were. The details of her face were not distinct due to the distance, but he could tell she was both nothing like he'd imagined and so much more. For once, he didn't immediately question the validity of the situation; there was no "it could be a coincidence", or "it's too unlikely that she would be out just as they were". Not right away. But it hit him when Mikey spoke.
"You're so lucky, D," he said wistfully. "Really." Head rested on his forearm, his gaze fell on not one thing, but the whole scene, a somber smile gracing him. He was excited, happy for his brother. But deep down, Donnie knew that though Mikey wasn't envious of him in a resentful way, it had to have stung to witness such a thing unfold for someone not himself. Their youngest had always craved connection the most. He looked away from the girl, "I wasn't gonna let you throw away an awesome chance, was I?"
Releasing a heavy breath, Donnie crawled away from the edge, but his eyes remained on that balcony. It was weird to watch someone who didn't know they were being watched. Not in that context.
"I...guess I may be," Donnie responded. But it would only get more complicated from there. His phone vibrated, breaking his trance, and the message he found read:
"Anyways, with that out of the way, what are you doing?"
Just watching you from a roof, nothing much, Donnie thought.
"Currently out enjoying the night"
"Isn't it kinda cold?"
"What about you?"
He knew what he meant, because he was there watching her as a chilled breeze rolled through, but she told him she wasn't doing anything. Only relaxing and talking to him.
It took him a few minutes to get his bearings. To know that he now had tangible evidence that she was a girl, an ordinary person, and that said person really thought he was cool. Worth the effort. He felt exceedingly difficult for not being able to give her a rightful explanation, but comforted by the fact that he wasn't being demanded of one. He felt light. Almost weightless, with Mikey next to him instead of his other cynical, skeptical brothers. For a moment, he had nothing to worry about.
From across the roof, he could still see the yawn escape her mouth. Probably an indicator that it was time to wrap things up. He didn't want her to stay up too late; it was already odd that she was up at such an hour, almost two AM, but glad nonetheless.
"Are you tired?"
"Yeah
I think I'm gonna hit the hay
So goodnight, Bo
Talk to you later (☞゚ヮ゚)☞"
She got up, leaning on the railing which faced them.
"I want to stay up with you but—"
Donnie sucked in a sharp breath as she looked up, just barely able to see from underneath the balcony above her. He snagged the strap on Mikey's shell and yanked him back with him away from the edge of the roof, taking cover behind the wall.
"Shit," hissed Donnie, "do you think she saw us?"
These shells, they make us look so big!
"Relax, bro, even if she did, it was only a little bit. Besides, we could be anyone from this far, they don't have pigeon vision."
"You mean 'eagle vision'?"
"They're both birds!"
Donnie deadpanned and peeked over the wall. She'd gone in. Three minutes later, he hadn't gotten any texts yet about something weird on the rooftops, so he could finally relax, groaning lightly. "Too close," he breathed out, "Mikey, we need to go, Leo's going to notice we're not back in time if we don't hurry up and get the rest of this route done."
"Already on it," he whooped, vaulting onto the next roof.
As Donnie was scaling the wall of the attached building, he felt his phone vibrate, and curious, he checked it one last time before getting on his way.
"One question before I go
You ever see stuff you can't explain but even if you did you'd sound crazy?"
Oh, no.
"No, I don't."
SPN 1x06 “Skin”
Tumblr media
Okay, I’m gonna try to type while I watch this time instead of forgetting this blog exists until the episode is almost over.
You can tell the footage for the previously on segment was saved on a VHS copy instead of the original film that the show was shot with because even in the HD iTunes version I have it looks low quality as fuck. And jumpy in the way that brings me back to my teens watching the WB all the damn time.
I love this song. WTF is this song. Shazam says “Good Deal” by Mommy and Daddy. I… have no comment, except that it sounds like everything I was listening to in college at the time this shit was airing.
Aaaaand not!Dean turns around to face the SWAT team after obviously torturing some woman. THAT is a cold open.
Tumblr media
I wanna know what that car is in the background. It’s pretty. Maybe a convertible Impala? They have similar grills. This is not at all important.
Also, I love that with these higher definition versions of the episodes you can see that Sam’s email is lawboy and whatever dot com and that people in the fandom have started calling him Law Boy. It’s hilarious.
DEAN: Well, what exactly do you tell ‘em? You know, about where you’ve been, what you’ve been doin’?
SAM: I tell ‘em I’m on a road trip with my big brother. I tell ‘em I needed some time off after Jess.
DEAN: Oh, so you lie to ‘em.
SAM: No. I just don’t tell ‘em….everything.
DEAN: Yeah, that’s called lying. I mean, hey, man, I get it, tellin’ the truth is far worse.
SAM: So, what am I supposed to do, just cut everybody out of my life? (DEAN shrugs.) You’re serious?
DEAN: Look, it sucks, but in a job like this, you can’t get close to people, period.
Aaaaand now I have Dean and Cassie feelings again and we haven’t even gotten to her episode yet.
SAM: No, man, I know Zack. He’s no killer.
DEAN: Well, maybe you know Zack as well as he knows you.
Aaaaaand now I have Dean and Lee feelings and we’re nowhere near Lee’s episode in season 15.
YOU JUST BLEW THROUGH A STOP SIGN DEAN WTF.
Little Becky. Oi with the reusing of names.
Of course Sam made friends with a bunch of rich kids while he was at college in a desperate attempt to try to be normal.
SAM: You know, maybe we could see the crime scene. Zack’s house.
DEAN: We could.
REBECCA: Why? I mean, what could you do?
SAM: Well, me, not much. But Dean’s a cop. (DEAN laughs.)
DEAN: Detective, actually.
I love that Dean was like “how dare you call me that.”
Okay, after a bit of research, I totally want to take a day trip to Bisbee, Arizona, but it’s already in the 90s here in the desert and it’s not even May so that trip is going to have to wait until… winter or something. There is no way in hell I’m going deeper into the desert when the weather gets hotter.
It’s a historic mining town tourist trap looking place now which is exactly the kind of shit I love.
SAM: Bec, look, I know Zack didn’t do this. Now, we have to find a way to prove that he’s innocent.
I mean, not technically, technically you would 1) NOT FUCK WITH A MURDER INVESTIGATION YOU’RE NOT LEGALLY INVOLVED IN BECAUSE ANYTHING YOU FIND WOULD BE INADMISSABLE IN COURT 2) find evidence to provide a reasonable doubt for the jury that he did commit the crime. You know, like a lawyer would need to do, Law Boy.
DEAN: I just don’t think this is our kind of problem.
When I made my husband watch this show with me (he’s seen it all at least once now over the years) this is the recurring thing that drove him crazy.
You guys can’t even go in through the back door? Or shut the front door behind you? Really?
REBECCA: (tearfully) Well, there’s no sign of a break-in. They say that Emily let her attacker in.
Yeah, that doesn’t even really mean that she knew her attacker. Just that it was someone she let her guard down around or got in some other way. See: The Son of Sam and Nightstalker, etc.
Love the pinup magnet on the fridge. I’d throw shade at that, but I have a pinup magnet on my fridge too so… pot kettle and all that.
Okay, both people in the next couple are gorgeous.
And oh wow those special effects changing eyes… wow.
This poor couple. I feel so bad for them in this episode.
How… how are the police gonna explain the way he was able to beat himself over the head with a bat??? I…
I love that 5:30 in the morning on TV is clearly like… 10 AM.
Okay, this is a really unrelated point, but the graffiti on the dumpster here reminds me of the Teen Wolf fandoms use of the name Void!Stiles when Stiles Stilinski was possessed by a Nogitsune… I just spent way too long digging through YouTube and my Tumblr tags from back when those episodes were airing looking for a few specific videos and couldn’t find them. The TL;DR reason I bring it up here is goofball, bi-coded main character guy getting possessed by an entity set on destroying the people he loves. SOUNDS LIKE THIS EPISODE AND A WHOLE LOT OF SPN RIGHT. I love that all these monster hunting shows call out to each other.
This scene haunts me years later and I don’t even WATCH Teen Wolf. I just watched the fandom on Tumblr collectively lose it’s shit then tripped down a Hale Pack fanfiction rabbit hole.
ANYWAY
Back to Supernatural, a show that also treated its fan base, cast, and characters like garbage! Huzzah!
DEAN: Well, there’s another way to go—down. (They look down and notice a manhole.)
I’m gonna be mature and ignore the double entendre there…
But I love that Dean thinks of the world in 3D. Which sounds like a dumb statement to make, but this is honestly a good example of that in action.
SAM: I bet this runs right by Zack’s house, too.
Really Sam, sewers run by houses? SO WEIRD. I WOULD HAVE NEVER GUESSED.
DEAN: You know, I just had a sick thought. When the shapeshifter changes shape—maybe it sheds.
SAM: That is sick. (DEAN puts the bloody pile back on the ground.)
Guys, there is a WHOLE ASS EAR in that pile of yuck you’re looking at. I think it’s pretty safe to assume the shapeshifter indeed sheds its skin like a snake. A much… gooier snake.
Sam’s friend is rightfully pissed at him for fucking with the crime scene.
This is before the pearl gripped guns?! Wow. I never noticed that before.
Also, this whole episode gives me feelings.
++++
Cool. Tumblr mobile ate a whole section of my notes on this when it crashed for NO APPARENT REASON. Love that.
It always boggles my mind that actors can trust the people they’re working with enough to let people “tie” ropes around their neck or put them in actually dangerous positions in a scene.
SHAPESHIFTER: He’s sure got issues with you. You got to go to college. He had to stay home. I mean, I had to stay home. With Dad. You don’t think I had dreams of my own? But Dad needed me. Where the hell were you?
SAM: Where is my brother? (The shapeshifter leans in close to SAM.)
SHAPESHIFTER: I am your brother. See, deep down, I’m just jealous. You got friends. You could have a life. Me? I know I’m a freak. And sooner or later, everybody’s gonna leave me. (He backs away.)
SAM: What are you talkin’ about?
SHAPESHIFTER: You left. Hell, I did everything Dad asked me to, and he ditched me, too. No explanation, nothin’, just poof. Left me with your sorry ass. But, still, this life? It’s not without its perks. (He laughs.) I meet the nicest people. Like little Becky. You know, Dean would bang her if he had the chance. Let’s see what happens. (He smiles and covers SAM with a sheet.)
This exchange is just… so much. So many feelings. And I will forever (unless we magically get a fix-it fic mini season someday…) be SO MAD that none of this got resolved in that pointless, trash heap of a finale.
REBECCA: Okay, so, this thing—it can make itself look like anybody?
SHAPESHIFTER: That’s right. (She chuckles.)
REBECCA: Well, what is it, like a genetic freak? (The shapeshifter laughs.)
SHAPESHIFTER: Maybe. Evolution is about mutation, right? So, maybe this thing was born human but was different. Hideous and hated. Until he learned to become someone else. (REBECCA looks around, uncomfortable. The shapeshifter’s eyes glint silver, and he smiles.)
It always amazes me how much of this show is a pile of accidental queer allegories parading around in an ill-fitting toxic masculinity suit.
Vulcan mind meld! I love nerd!Dean. Also, I’m rewatching Star Trek: TOS with my husband, because that is what my life amounts to these days, rewatching comfort TV and flailing over the bits I love.
This post does a better job than I can do of pairing up screen caps with the dialogue of this next scene. SIX EPISODES IN. They’re dumping all of this character depth SIX EPISODES IN. FUCK THIS SHOW FOR NOT EMBRACING ITSELF.
Okay, I love that he screams back in her face after he threw the phone. It’s not something to laugh at because the situation is horrifying, but I can’t help laughing at it every time.
AND THE WAY THEY CUT THESE SCENES. Going from him winding his hand back to backslap her directly to him dropping the chains on the table to show how hard he must have hit her without actually making the actors hit each other. Good job editing department!
I… don’t understand the shifter’s motivation for killing people. If he can take over people’s identities without killing them, why kill them? Is it just because he’s a homicidal, rapist piece of shit? Cause that’s all it seems like.
How did the SWAT team even know she was being attacked? Why can the snipers aim no better than Storm Troopers?
Ugh, these kind of transformation body horror scenes are exactly why werewolf stories have never really appealed to me much. Like, I could do without watching your ribs move and teeth fall out, dude.
BUT.
THIS FUCKING SCENE.
I looked up the song that’s playing over shapeshifter!Dean being caught by the SWAT team and then going through the grotesque transformation. (And as far as I know, the iTunes version has the original music from the episodes.)
It’s a song called “Mary” by The Death Riders
Who's your mother, who's your mother here boy // Who's your mother, whos your mommy dear // Who's your father, who's your father here boy // Who's your father, who's your daddy dear
Silently screaming // Where everyone knows // Daddy's always watchin' // Where everywhere - everywhere I go
I don't wanna be a freak show pretty boy anymore // I don't wanna be a full time slave // I don't wanna be your midnight cowboy anymore // I just want to be Mary
This is… a fascinating choice. Here are the rest of the lyrics. The song as a whole has a weird incesty kinda vibe to it? Kinda like when SPN tries to straight-wash itself and misses the mark wildly. (Like Dean’s male siren episode.)
The midnight cowboy line reminded me of 12x11 and the bull riding scene with “Broomstick Cowboy” by Bobby Goldsboro playing over it
Dream on, little Broomstick Cowboy, // Dream while you can; // Of big green frogs, // And puppy dogs, // And castles in the sand.
For, all too soon you'll awaken; // Your toys will all be gone. // Your broomstick horse will ride away, // To find another home. // And you'll have grown into a man, // With cowboys of your own. // And then you'll have to go to war, // To try and save your home.
And then you'll have to learn to hate; // You'll have to learn to kill. // It's always been that way, my son; // I guess it always will.
Because, you know, why not add tons of feelings into the lyrics, right?
Props to the people who can embrace their rewatches and reclamations of the show with ease. Because every episode seems to remind me of how hollow and tragic Dean’s ending was and I just… struggle all over again.
Anyway, back to the episode so I can move on with my day.
REPORTER: An anonymous tip led police to a home in the Central West End, where a S.W.A.T team discovered a local woman bound and gagged. Her attacker, a white male, approximately twenty-four to thirty years of age, was discovered hiding in her home. (A sketch of DEAN appears on the screen.)
DEAN: Man! That’s not even a good picture. (SAM looks around cautiously.)
SAM: It’s good enough. (He walks away.)
DEAN: Man! (He follows SAM.)
(CUT TO: Alley. DEAN and SAM are walking. DEAN steps into a puddle.)
DEAN: Ugh, come on.
I love that we get two tiny little back-to-back vanity moments for Dean here. One commenting on the sketch artist rendition of him being broadcasted on the news and the other tripping in the puddle. There is literally someone running around the city trying to kill people while wearing Dean’s face, but Dean is still concerned with how he looks appears to others. He’s still concerned with keeping up his own performance. The shifter left him with just a t-shirt, so he doesn’t even have his usual comfort layers on and at any moment someone could spot him and call the police or try to kill him for assaulting Sam’s friend. His life is wildly out of control in that moment and the only thing he can try to focus on is his appearance (something semi-controllable) and finding the shifter before any of that other shit can happen.
One day I want to put together a like top 10 episodes focusing on / explaining each TFW character from the series. Like the kind of list you could show someone who’s never seen the show, but has OPINIONS about the characters (or who hasn’t seen the whole show and seen the growth they went through… you know, like the people responsible for the travesty of 15x20). This episode would be on that list. I’m not sure how I could manage to make a list of only 10 episodes to understand Dean Winchester by, but eh.
SAM: What are you gonna do to me?
SHAPESHIFTER: Oh, I’m not gonna do anything. Dean will, though.
SAM: They’ll never catch him.
SHAPESHIFTER: Oh, doesn’t matter. Murder in the first of his own brother? He’ll be hunted the rest of his life. (He picks up a sharp knife and examines it.)
Speaking of season 15 in general, this right here. This was Chuck’s villain story arc thesis statement. AND THEY DROPPED THE GODDAMN BALL WITH IT. I think that’s the thing that honestly pisses me off the most these days (about 5 1/2 months from when the finale aired) is that they tried making the whole thing a tragedy but did such an awful job with it that it just ended up like a deflating condom balloon at a dive bar concert. Disappointing and gross. The finale for season 14 set them up SO FUCKING WELL and it just… didn’t get there.
Becky’s parents are gonna be pissed at how torn up their house is after all this shit…
And you’re not shooting him when you first see him strangling Sam because…?????
I like that he took the necklace back. Also, is this kinda Dean death number .5 of the show? Like it wasn’t him but it was also kinda him. Eh.
At least they left the windshield on Baby this time. Reflections are better than tearing her apart.
