The Oncoming Storm Part 17: Blackout
Liu Kang x Reader and Kung Lao x Reader (gonna do both, two paths!)
Oh no, you made things complicated. Lol. I'm having more fun writing Kung Lao than should be allowed. Hopefully you guys enjoy! And yes, I know this is tropey but I also don't care LOL, it's a fun trope.
Part 16 Part 18 Chapter Index
The hotel was surprisingly crowded. You weren’t sure what you’d expected but you hadn’t expected it to be bustling with tourists. There was a festival happening, you should have expected this. A bit outdated, the hotel was still clean and inviting. A welcome reprieve from the stone walls of Raiden’s Temple. You’d arrived early and still had to wait in line. Raiden had ‘transported’ you there which had been a wild experience in and of itself. You’d walked into a bolt of lightning and had come out in a quiet alley unseen.
It had been so long since you’d walked amongst the average civilian that it felt straight up bizarre to be walking along the streets of the modest city, especially in your hanfu. It was all you’d had, after all. No one looked at you twice other than to greet you politely. Most of the other folks staying at the hotel for the festival were couples on a romantic getaway which had made it instantly weird to be waiting in line with Kung Lao to check into your respective rooms.
Thankfully, the line moved quickly and once you’d checked in, you dropped off the few belongings you’d brought with you. The room was tiny with a single bed, a desk taking up nearly the rest of the room. Atop the desk was a television and beneath that was an old, ancient mini fridge. It would do well enough. This was the most technology you’d seen in weeks. Afterwards, you’d found Kung Lao and told him that you would meet him in an hour. You’d made note of a clothing store down the road and wanted to see if there was anything worth buying.
He, of course, decided to join you. No one trusted you alone anymore. He didn’t say it like that, but you knew that Raiden had told both him and Liu to keep an eye on you. You felt like a ticking time bomb.
Once at the shop you were disappointed to find that it sold mostly yukatas and kimonos. You supposed it was better than the flowy hanfu. At least you could pick out something that would be your own rather than something that had been handed to you.
Boy, you missed the internet.
You picked out a few pieces that you could work with a bit easier. Most of the hanfu were dresses or long flowy robes. Here you’d been able to find a few women’s kimonos that had hakama pants as an option. You had never been so excited to see pants in your life. You didn’t need the whole kimono, just the pants. Some constricted around the ankles while others were left open. You grabbed both and were extremely pleased.
“Sometimes, you’re a very simple woman.” Kung Lao had patted you on the back when you’d showed him the pants in excitement. You had to agree. In that moment you were very simple. Pants had brought you joy. You’d wandered away from him after that to find a few tops, belts, and jackets. Thankfully, you’d had your wallet on you when this had all begun so you had some money on you. In Raiden’s Temple, money hadn’t been necessary, so you were happy to spend it on the few things you did need.
They weren’t jeans and a t-shirt or even cute dresses, but it felt like a step in the right direction toward feeling like yourself again. You hadn’t realized how much it had bothered you until then.
Kung Lao had purchased just enough for the day in flattering red and black. That seemed to be his aesthetic though you could picture him in blues too for some reason. Then you made your way back to the hotel and to your rooms on the top floor. You had gotten rooms next to each other. You went to get changed and were happy with what you saw even in the half mirror on the desk. You stood on the bed to get a better look. Black hakama pants and a grayish-lavender and black top with a white sash tied around your middle. You then pulled your hair back in a ponytail and admired yourself in the mirror. Even though your hair was a mess you looked much more like yourself.
Your white roots had grown out a couple of inches now. It didn’t look bad, but it definitely didn’t look like it was on purpose either.
Oh well! You jumped off the bed and then left the room to find Kung Lao waiting for you, leaned against the wall next to your door. He had one foot propped against the wall, arms folded across his chest, hat obscuring his face as it often did. The clothing he’d bought wasn’t too terribly different from what he usually wore with the notable exception that he had sleeves which was truly a shame. He tilted his head up just enough to greet you before stepping away from the wall. You hadn’t left him waiting that long and yet he acted as though he’d been there for ages.
You noticed the jade ring from his usual outfit was woven into his outfit with the sash around his waist laced through it. It was kind of sweet that he always seemed to have it on him.
“Is that significant in some way? Special?” You asked, gesturing to the ring. He looked down at the ring in surprise and then nodded down the hall. You walked slowly through the hotel toward the stairwell.
“It’s a relic from my ancestor, the Great Kung Lao.”
“Oh, wow. About that, though… I’ve heard people mention him, but I had never heard the name before you. I know that he’s of some importance which has made you important…”
“I am incredibly important, thank you.”
“Yes, very. Keep talking.”
“He was the first champion of Mortal Kombat who had come from the Shaolin Order of Light. He defeated Shang Tsung and won the tournament.” Kung Lao seemed as though he had told this story a hundred times but was still proud to tell it. It was oddly sweet. “He was champion of Earthrealm for fifty years before the tournament was corrupted and he was killed. Even so, he is held in great reverence. He was a remarkable warrior.”
“Is that why you have a dragon mark?”
“Yes, that is why I have the mark. It’s also why I was sent away so young. I’d already been training long before I’d met you. When I left it was because it was time for me to go live at the temple.”
You stopped walking before the stairs and he stopped just in front of you and turned to face you. “Then why were you so bad when we would pretend to fight?”
“I held back. I wanted you to have fun too. Besides, it felt nice to be normal back then.” He laughed and you caught up to him and started down the stairs. “I was thinking that we should come up with a story as to why we’re here.”
“Should we?”
“Obviously. We need a reason to be here.”
“Other than the reason we actually have?”
“And when a bunch of strangers ask you why we’re here, are you going to tell them the real reason we’re here?”
“Point taken.”
“We need a cover.”
“Do we really though? I don’t remember ever having to justify my actions that intensely to strangers before. We can just be visiting.” You jumped down the last two stairs to the landing between flights. Pants felt great. Kung Lao seemed to either be overthinking your trip or grasping at straws to get to some end point. Or he was going to cause trouble. You would never forget the look that both Raiden and Liu had given him on their way out.
“I’ve been asked three times what brings me to Mount Osore during the festival. I came up with a lie on the spot but I’m no terribly proud of it or anything.”
“And what is this lie you came up with?”
“I said I was here on a date. Everyone else seems to be here on a date, so it was the first thing that jumped to mind.”
You rolled your eyes at him and he laughed in surprise, waiting for you at the bottom of the stairs. You caught up to him. “Really, Kung Lao?”
“What? It’s the first thing I could think of! The people asking me were on a date and so I stuttered that I was too.”
“Kung Lao, no.”
“Come on, Y/N.”
“Can’t we just say we’re visiting and that it’s no one’s business?” You walked into the lobby and he hurried in front of you and took your hands, clasping them between his. You sighed. “Would you…” The lobby was very crowded.
“I hate you so much right now.”
“Would you,” he continued, talking over you, “do me the honor of going on a cute little pretend date with me so that we can sneak into an ancient Buddhist Temple built within the caldera of a volcano so that we can uncover an ancient and possibly cursed artifact together?” You stared at him in disbelief, but it was taking every ounce of your energy not to burst into laughter. He was such a dork. “I will get down on my knees and ask you again if you don’t answer me.” He got down on his knees and you broke. Laughing, you pulled your hands free, grabbed his arms and tugged.
“Oh my god, get up, Kung Lao.”
“It’s a great cover, Y/N.”
“It is an exactly okay cover. But fine. I haven’t done something terribly embarrassing in a while, so I guess I’m overdue for this.” You agreed at least. He was right. It was a good cover considering this whole place was filled with couples. Besides, if it got Kung Lao to drop the subject then you would be happy to agree. The whole display had made your cheeks burn.
“Embarrassing, huh? Come on, Y/N. It’s not such a bad thing, is it? Could be worse looking guys to end up with, right?” He walked at your side again, making a teasing kissy face and leaning close to you. You leaned away with an awkward and nervous laugh.
“If you keep doing things like that then you are going to get smacked.”
“Worth it.” He held the door open for you and together you left the hotel. Outside a bus waited to take tourists to the shrine for the festival. People were already loading onto it. Kung Lao offered you his hand and you looked to him skeptically. He grabbed your hand anyway and then you walked onto the bus. “You’re going to have to get better at pretending.” You found seats near the back of the bus and even as you sat, he didn’t let go of your hand. You felt incredibly silly. Yet, it also made your heart flutter. As much as you had given him a hard time, you also happened to think it was an incredibly sweet and kind of wholesome idea.
Funny enough, you had thought of this moment before but in a much different context. Maybe in a life where your childhood together hadn’t ended so traumatically. Where you’d stayed close friends and he’d have asked you out when you were old enough. In a way, you felt like a silly schoolgirl, something you hadn’t felt in years.
If he hadn’t died then this was exactly where you would have wound up. Somehow that made you feel much less silly and you finally relaxed. Kung Lao pointed out several interesting things on the side of the road through the window and you listened to him chatter on until the bus was pulling up to the shrine. You waited for the others to get off the bus and then you walked ahead of Kung Lao and stepped off it.
The shrine was huge and it took your breath away.
So much so that it made you dizzy.
A river flowed before you then beneath a red bridge. To the left of the bridge there was a white beach lining the bluest and most artificial-looking water that you had ever seen in your life. Rocks were piled alongside the shore in strange formations. Beyond the bridge there was a stone path that led to the shrine in the distance, and it was lined with old lanterns. You walked to the edge of the stone path where the bus had dropped you off to try and get a better look at the water.
That was a teal color you had never seen before in nature. In your mind’s eye, you recalled your vision and it made your stomach drop. You took a step further and were suddenly grasped around the waist and pulled away from the edge of the stone. Then Kung Lao looped his arm in yours. “You looking to take a dip?”
You hadn’t realized that you had almost walked right into the river. You hadn’t been thinking. The water had bewitched you, it seemed. You needed to get a closer look at it but now that you’d been turned away from it, the feeling had gone. From there you could smell the acidity in the humid air. That was likely why it was so blue. “Pay more attention, okay?”
You weren’t sure what to say to him. It was surreal being there. This place was exactly the same as it had been in your vision but also years, possibly centuries had passed since then. The shrine buildings themselves were much larger than they had been then. They were even a different color. Your head was spinning as you tried to take in everything at once. It was an overload. You grabbed Kung Lao’s arm to try and ground yourself. You felt as though you were floating and the wind would take you away.
Kung Lao led you onto the bridge and at its apex you sat and watched the water trickle beneath it. He helped you lean your elbows against the railing and then placed a supportive hand on your back.
“It’s okay. Take a second.” He seemed to realize that you were having a difficult time. How could you explain that you were struggling to wrap your mind around being in a place where you’d had such a vivid and violent vision? You were grateful for him. Your heart was racing and you watched the water flowing beneath the bridge, over the rocks. Your stomach had dropped. It felt as though you were intimately familiar with this place, as though you had spent years there, but you had never once seen it before. At the same time, everything felt completely new. Your brain was waging war with itself. “You okay?”
“Yeah, this is just… surreal.” You were finally able to collect your thoughts enough to talk.
“You went a bit gray. Figured you needed a minute.”
“I appreciate it.”
“So, where do we go?”
“There’s a well inside one of those buildings.” You nodded to your right where the shrine was at the end of the stone path.
“Vague, but okay.” He peered to the right and then pointed. “It’s off limits.” From there you could see a series of ropes that blocked off the building from visitors. “Great.”
“It’s crowded enough here. I’m sure we can sneak in just fine.”
“Of course.” He leaned next to you on his forearms, hands clasped together. “This place is a little spooky.”
“It is. I read a brochure from the hotel lobby. The monks here believe that it’s the gateway to hell. The river beneath us is supposed to represent the Sanzu.” You pointed below you. It was a little spooky, you supposed, but it was also incredibly beautiful.
“I read about that. I also read that there are holy water bathhouses and volcanic cauldrons with crazy colored water.”
“Yeah, and a lake of blood.”
“I hate that, Y/N.” He stuck his tongue out at the idea. You laughed. He was too funny. He had this way of making you feel at least even about the big and often uncomfortable things sometimes. Other times he drove your anxiety through the roof. Thankfully, this wasn’t one of those moments. “What do you say that we get to sneaking in and find this thing so that we can have a bit of fun for the rest of the day, huh?”
“That sounds nice.”
He took your hand once again and you walked over the bridge and along the stone path. The lanterns were decorated for the festival along with the rest of the shrine. Monks walked about, greeting visitors and answering questions while explaining various attractions. Most visitors, and there were many, were straying from the temple in favor of the white sands or the volcanic cauldrons. You and Kung Lao walked until you reached the ropes before the shrine. You stood there for a time in the shade, waiting for your moment to sneak in unseen.
“Coast is clear,” you whispered and turned to keep watch while Kung Lao snuck into the shrine. Once inside, you waited for your opportunity and followed him. Inside, the building was ancient but to you it seemed oddly brand new. It wasn’t the same shrine that you remembered from your vision. Much had changed since that wicked man had been there.
No one was waiting for you inside the small entryway or in the room beyond. That seemed like the central room, with space for prayer and a dip in the center for dining. The floor was lined with tatami mats and the ceiling was high, windows on the second floor spattering sunlight throughout the room. Halls branched off in each direction and you suddenly felt overwhelmed with choice. It had seemed so much simpler in your vision.
“Lead the way but be cautious. We’re not alone.” Kung Lao spoke in a hushed tone, staying close to you but alert.
“Yeah.” You started through the room and down the closest hallway, checking to see if it was empty first. Kung Lao took your hand and you urged him along with you. Your stomach was in knots and his hand there continued to keep you grounded. Several times you encountered monks going about their business and you had to duck into other rooms or sneak back around corners. You somehow managed to remain unseen, having to huddle together in strange spaces and hide in enclosed areas. It would have been fun had it not been so damn frustrating.
None of it made sense! As you turned down another hall, you sighed in frustration. You’d wound up there twice already. Your gut kept sending you there and back to the central room but there was no indication that it was the same place that the vision had taken place in. Kung Lao suddenly pulled you back into the side room and held you against the wall near the door. There were footsteps in the hall, and you held your breath until they had passed. You made to go back into the hall, but Kung Lao pinned you in place.
“You’re leading us in circles.”
“I know. It’s hard to explain. It’s like someone’s moving everything around while we’re walking. It doesn’t make any sense. I think I’m going one way and then we’re back to where we started.” It was making you sick to your stomach, as a matter of fact.
“You can do this. Just focus.”
“Kung Lao, you have no idea what’s going on in my head right now. I am focusing.”
“You’re right I don’t. So, tell me.”
“I’m not sure that I have the words to explain that the room we’re looking for should be right around the corner but then it isn’t.” It really was disorienting to expect to be in one place and end up in another. “It shouldn’t have been this far back but also this place is ten times bigger than it had been in my vision.”
“I need you to try still.”
You were mixed up. It was like someone was moving rooms in your head and before you knew it, you had once again led him back into the central room which made both you and Kung Lao groan in annoyance.
“Oh good. We’re back. I was worried.”
“It should be right here, but everything looks so different!”
“It’s okay, Y/N. We’ll figure it out.”
“It’s not okay, Kung Lao. It should be right here. I wish I could just show you.” The frustration was radiating off you, you were sure. “I can’t-”
“Is someone there?” A voice from somewhere down the hall called and footsteps approached from a distance.
“Fu…” Kung Lao whispered and then grabbed you and searched for somewhere to hide. The closest hall was too far. You were caught. “Don’t panic.” He urged you to the wall with surprising care and you made a sound of surprise. What did he mean don’t panic? You were instantly panicking. Don’t panic? What was wrong with him? He leaned against you and tilted your chin up and his head toward you like he was going to kiss you, obscuring you both with his hat. “Act natural, Y/N.” His lips brushed against your cheek, just next to your lips. “I swear, you’re terrible at this.” You were stiff as a board, so he had every right to scold you, but also he was pretending to kiss you so what the hell were you supposed to do with that? What was natural in this case?
You gave him a swift but soft punch in the gut and he laughed against your cheek in return. That made you feel a bit better. He lifted his head just enough and you peered toward the door nearby, waiting for the monk that would inevitably kick you out. You could have had time to hide at this rate. Kung Lao’s lips were pressed against your cheek and they were soft even if it was just in a mock kiss close enough to your lips to look like you were sneaking a private moment.
You peered around the corner, thinking maybe you were in the clear. Kung Lao did the same and when you turned back to tell him that maybe the monk had decided to turn away, you found him extremely close to you. Intimately so. His dark eyes were serious and that always scared you for whatever reason. He tilted your chin toward him and all other thoughts slipped out of your brain.
What were you doing there? Where were you anyway? And why? Did it matter?
Not right now it didn’t.
His hand was on your chin, thumb brushing just below your lip, urging your lips to part just enough. You dared not breathe to break the tension of the moment. The sneaking and searching were gone completely from your thoughts. All that was left was the boy that you’d so admired in your youth grown into a handsome man with his hand against the wall at your side, the other inextricably lost below your lower lip.
His eyes were searching you, but you dared not look back into them for fear of what you might find, for fear of what it might reveal to you. His breath warmed your lips before they were on yours, parting them like a blossom in a soft and singular tender movement. A far superior kiss than the one he’d pretended to give you for the sake of saving your skin.
His lips were sweet. Not like sugar or candy, but sweet like the lingering taste of honey at the bottom of a cup of tea. It was a feeling of sweetness rather than a flavor. The moment was still and soft, his lips treasuring yours as though they were something sacred and special. They pulled back just enough from yours that you could feel your lips resisting to part as if they had minds of their own. His eyes were searching you still for answers and in wonder, but you didn’t dare meet them. Yet, you could feel his gaze and beneath your fingertips, that had betrayed you and now rested on his chest, you could feel his heart beating almost as hard as yours.
His breath graced your lips again, but you dared not breathe. You wanted to say something, even just a whisper of his name, but no words would come and you sat there, lips parted in waiting, avoiding his eyes, hand clutching the cloth at his chest, unsure of where you even were or why. This was Kung Lao.
Your Kung Lao.
A soft sigh escaped his lips as they were on yours again, but the softness was gone, though there was something about them that was still sweet even so. The force of his kiss pressed you against the wall, leaving you no escape- not that you wanted to escape. This was a moment that the ten-year-old inside your head had both longed for and not understood. You would have been a fool not to return his kiss, to taste and experience his lips the way that he was with yours and so you did. You kissed him and it was like a storm inside you beyond your control, building with electricity with every moment that passed.
There was a tender moment of acceptance where it felt as though time stood still. The soft moment faded quickly to frenzied desperation. There was no space left between you. Kung Lao was pressed against you, body warm and strong, hat nearly pushed back off of his head as he favored kisses over his possessions. Your hands moved up his chest, to the sides of his neck, fingertips then tangling in the short, messy tendrils of his hair at the base of his hairline. Your heart was doing flips, brain completely turned off to anything that had happened before this, even if somewhere in the distant reaches of your mind you could hear your instincts telling you that you had to stop. Whatever muting effect had been triggered in your brain had seemed to impact Kung Lao as well.
In one swift motion, fluid and strong, his hands were at your thighs and he had lifted you and pressed you against the wall, urging your legs to wrap around him. Your arms slipped naturally around his shoulders, pulling him closer between hot and increasingly sloppy kisses.
“Excuse me?”
Ah, yes. The monk. That was right.
You stopped kissing him.
Kung Lao’s lips finally pulled from yours and you could feel that your own were left slightly swollen from the desperation and passion of those precious few moments. When had you gotten so tangled up in each other? His chest was rising and falling against yours quickly and even though he’d pulled back his lips lingered close to yours as if to consider defying the monk further.
“My apologies.” The monk sounded embarrassed and bowed multiple times. “This area is closed to the public for the festival.”
You finally managed to regain your thoughts and untangled yourself from Kung Lao. You placed your feet on the ground and cleared your throat though your face was likely as red as his robes. He released you from his grip though he made no effort to step away. You swallowed the lump in the back of your throat and forced your brain to work.
“Is it?” You sounded surprised and were grateful that you had. You hadn’t expected to be a very good actor after all that, but you had been surprised to be interrupted and also confused as to where your mind had gone. It was more feigning innocence than lying. The monk nodded and looked as though he sincerely felt bad for interrupting you. “I’m sorry. We had no idea.”
“It’s no worries. I will happily escort you back to the festivities. Follow me.”
“Sorry about that.” Kung Lao, who you had never seen at a loss for words, seemed to finally regain himself. Just like that, he was back to the goof he’d been when you’d first arrived. “We were just sneaking off to have a private moment. Didn’t realize it was off limits.”
“It happens all the time. You’d be surprised.” The monk led you back through the central room and into the entryway. You elbowed Kung Lao as you followed the monk and he laughed beneath his breath. Once outside the monk bowed to you and then left you alone. You leaned your head back and stared into the sunny blue sky with a sigh. You needed a new plan. That one had gone off the rails in a way you hadn’t expected.

Req: Shōto moves from the big city to a small town where he meets & befriended by a local boy, Izuku. Together they experience memorable summer filled with beach outings, bike ridings, festivals & fireworks. But a dark secret about Shōto's past & true identity threatens to destroy their friendship.
Thank you for the prompt! 😊
When Shoto first moved to Izumo, he didn’t expect his life to change forever…
Well, that was a slight lie - after all, the entire reason he had moved away from his home in Tokyo was to get away from the stifling environment and constant pressure his father put on him. He had even tried to mask his identity, going by Shoto unless it was for important documents, in which case he'd use his mother's maiden name; he had also dyed his hair a rose pink to get rid of the red and white that stood out like a sore thumb. When he moved to his new home though, he had expected to live out his life quietly and alone, knowing that it was better than the alternative.
He changed his mind.
When Shoto moved to Izumo, he didn’t expect his life to change for the better. He didn’t expect to meet a local boy with fluffy green curls, constellations of freckles dusting his cheeks and a shining smile that instantly made him feel weak at the knees.
Midoriya Izuku.
Their meeting had been an accident - one that shouldn’t have happened - but Shoto was so glad that it did. He had been returning from the shops, both hands full of groceries, when he had spotted him running towards him.
His green hair bounced with each step and a bright smile was plastered to his face that was filled with mischief. As he ran past Shoto, he winked. Before he could spontaneously combust in response though, someone suddenly shouted and Shoto turned his attention to another boy, who seemed to be chasing after the first. His face was covered in mud.
'Damn, Deku! I'll kill you!' He roared. 'Get back here!'
At that moment, Shoto made a decision. He shouldn't meddle, he knew that - he didn't know the context behind this - but something told him to just go for it. Was it because the first boy had winked at him and was actually quite cute? Maybe… But he wasn't about to admit that.
As the angry blonde ran past him, Shoto timed it just right; he stuck his foot out to the side for the boy to trip over.
The instant he went flying, feet completely leaving the ground, Shoto sidestepped into a narrow alleyway to avoid being caught. He never saw the aftermath of his… Intervention, deciding to remain in his hiding spot for at least five minutes before venturing back out onto the sidewalk.
By the time Shoto made it back home to his small cottage, the ice cream he had bought had half melted, but he had no regrets.
He had just finished putting the shopping away when there was a knock on the door, which turned out to be none other than the boy who had winked at him earlier. His hair was slightly damp with sweat and his face was flushed.
'Hi!' The boy began. 'I'm Midoriya Izuku! You might not remember but before-'
'No, no. I remember quite vividly.' Shoto interrupted, leaning against the door frame. 'I'm Shoto.'
'Shoto…' Midoriya spoke softly, before a grin made its way onto his face. 'It's nice to meet you! I just wanted to say thank you for earlier. Kacchan can be a dick sometimes. He said something about my mum's weight so I put a spider down the back of his shirt and shoved some mud in his face so I could get a head start. That's why he was chasing me. I don't know what would've happened if he had caught up to me so yeah… Thank you.'
Shoto blinked a few times as he processed all of that - Midoriya could speak rather quickly.
'It's no problem.' He eventually shrugged. 'It was quite entertaining.'
'I know right?!' Midoriya exclaimed with a laugh. 'I looked over my shoulder just as he flew like 3 metres. I only knew it was you because you mysteriously disappeared before he could spot you.'
Shoto allowed himself a small smile as he watched Midoriya wipe away a stray tear.
'Well, from what you've told me, it sounds like he deserved it.'
Midoriya nodded slightly, before going silent. Shoto watched as he seemed to consider his next words, rubbing the back of his neck and shuffling on his feet.
'I haven't seen you around before. Are you new to Izumo?' When Shoto nodded, he continued. 'Well, if you want, I could give you a tour? I know we don't know each other that well and you're probably busy, but… Yeah, it's up to you though! I'd totally understand if-'
'I'd love to.' Shoto smiled earnestly. 'Give me five minutes and I'll be good to go.'
'Awesome!'
The more they got to know each other, the more he came to realise just how kind and brave Izuku was, with his own fair share of scars and the inability to leave Shoto alone even if he tried. Every day held an adventure and Shoto found himself enjoying every moment of it.
Ever since that day, the two of them had been joined at the hip. Initially, Shoto had been reluctant to allow a stranger into his life, never having much luck with friends due to who his father was. It was different now though. Not only had he forsaken his old life and now lived in a place where no one knew him, but the friend in question was Midoriya Izuku, who seemed to slot himself into Shoto's life so easily, it was like he had always been there.
His once empty house was now filled with memories. Photos of him and Izuku were scattered across the walls, commemorating their various hiking conquests, cycle marathons and charity runs that Izuku had convinced Shoto to take part in. That wasn't all though, some pictures were more casual, like the time they went to that bubble tea shop that also sold bubble slush that Shoto had quickly become addicted to, or the time they were chilling at Izuku's house and his mum, Inko, had wrapped him in a tight hug that ended up with Shoto crying, or even when they went to that summer festival wearing matching kimonos and danced together.
Life was impossibly good and Shoto loved it. When he was with Izuku, he was truly happy. He couldn't picture living without him.
As the months came and went though, Shoto knew it wouldn't last. He knew eventually he'd have to tell Izuku the truth about who he was and potentially face losing him forever.
It was a terrifying thought, but his friend deserved to know. He just hoped Izuku could one day forgive him.
☀️🌙
'It's so hoooot!' Izuku moaned, collapsing onto their shared beach towel and spreading himself out along the material. The two of them had decided to spend their Sunday at the beach, before Izuku started his new job the next day.
When Shoto said nothing as he calmly sat down next to him, Izuku poked an eye open to look at him expectantly. 'I said, it's hot, Sho-chan!'
'Is it really?' He deadpanned. 'I couldn't tell.'
'I hate you.' Izuku pouted.
'You love me and you know it.' Shoto replied easily, albeit he chewed on the inside of his cheek as he waited for his best friend's response.
'Hmmm.' Izuku huffed, before both of his eyes shot open and he smiled brightly at him. 'I guess I do.'
Shoto felt his face flush terribly at that, but before he could overthink it, Izuku suddenly jumped up and removed his top. He tried not to stare as his friend's surprisingly muscular torso was exposed, and instead focused on an interesting shell next to him.
'Sho-chaaaaaan!' He looked up to find Izuku staring at him, a bottle of sun cream in his hand. 'Can you rub my back, pretty please?'
'So needy.' He quipped, holding out his hand. Their fingers brushed as Izuku passed him the lotion, then his friend moved to sit with his back to him.
Shoto's hands shook slightly as he popped open the cap and squirted some onto his palm, before reaching out to rub it onto a freckled back. Izuku's skin was surprisingly soft, even with the scars that were scattered across his body. The warmth his friend radiated was also quite overwhelming, but Shoto wasn't sure if he was imagining it or not - after all, he was feeling rather flustered himself.
When he eventually finished, he tapped his shoulder and Izuku shuffled around to look at him.
'Your turn!' He announced, taking the sun cream from Shoto.
'You haven't done your face and chest yet though.'
'You're hopeless, Sho-chan.' Izuku sighed, before patting him on the head affectionately. 'But it's okay. I forgive you.'
Shoto didn't know what he meant by that, so he just shrugged and removed his top.
☀️🌙
'Izuku.' Shoto finally muttered, clutching his towel close to his chest. They had just been for a swim in the sea, hoping it would cool them down slightly. When he had initially suggested the idea, Izuku had dived into the water straight away, and when he eventually resurfaced, he had called out to Shoto, a bright smile on his face, before splashing him playfully. The salt water had stung his eyes a little, but Shoto had still smiled back and matched Izuku's laughter.
Now though, smiling was the last thing he wanted to do. After all, he had decided to finally tell the truth. He couldn't keep going on like this, enjoying Izuku's friendship whilst hiding who he was. It wasn't fair on his friend.
'Yeah?' Izuku finished drying his hair and looked at him curiously. When he noticed Shoto's worried expression, he stepped forwards and placed a comforting hand on his shoulder. 'You wanna sit down?'
Shoto swallowed heavily and nodded. He allowed himself to be guided to the beach towel by his friend and they sat down facing each other.
'Okay…' Shoto whispered, more to himself, before exhaling heavily. 'Izuku, I want to start by saying that you mean so much to me and that you're the best thing that's ever happened to me.'
'Nawww, Shoto-kun!'
'That being said,' He continued before he could get distracted. 'I haven't been completely honest with you.'
When Izuku tilted his head to the side in question, Shoto sighed. No point beating around the bush. 'My real name is Todoroki Shoto. My dad is Todoroki Enji, you might know of him, he's that dickhead politician that-'
'Yeah, I know about him' Izuku laughed awkwardly and rubbed the back of his neck. 'My dad used to be a supporter of his policies, not that he's ever been around to realise that his son is part of one of the communities he actively hates on.'
'Sorry about that.' Shoto muttered. 'For what it's worth, I don't agree with him. When he found out I was…' Bite the bullet, Izuku won’t care. 'When he found out I was gay, he wasn't too pleased.'
'Shoto-'
'It's fine, Izuku. I've always hated him.' He shook his head. 'My old man is the reason I moved here. I had to escape while I could. I've been using my mother's maiden name and I dyed my hair so no one would catch on. I wanted to get as far away as possible and make a life here, before eventually bringing my mother here to live with me. The bastard put her in a hospital, but me and my siblings have been working to get her discharged, and we reckon she'd be happier in a place like this.'
He paused for a moment, considering his next words as he bowed his head and squeezed his eyes shut. 'I couldn't keep lying to you, Izuku. You're my best friend and I just… I'm sorry, I hope you can one day forgive me.'
Silence fell over them then, but Shoto didn't dare open his eyes. He didn't want to see the look of betrayal in Izuku's eyes, as selfish as it may be. He couldn't bear the idea of looking up to find his best friend gone.
Suddenly, a warm hand came to rest over Shoto's own trembling ones, soft to the touch and grounding him enough that he could look up to meet shining eyes.
'There's nothing to forgive.' Izuku almost whispered, sincerity in his voice that was so undeniably Izuku that Shoto wondered how he could ever doubt him. A reassuring smile graced his face. 'You're not your father, Shoto-kun. He's a cruel man, while you're nothing but kind. I understand why you kept your name a secret, I just hope that the Shoto I had the pleasure of getting to know was the real Shoto.'
'It was.' He let out a bashful smile when Izuku's own only grew. 'With you, I am myself entirely.'
'Then I'm glad.' A calloused hand squeezed Shoto's own affectionately. 'Because you also mean the world to me and to lose you would be… I couldn't-’ He sighed. ‘It would be heartbreaking.'
'I don't deserve you.' Shoto shook his head with disbelief. Before he could stop himself, he continued. 'I have something else to admit.'
'Your sister's not the prime minister, is she?' Izuku giggled.
'No… She's a teacher?' Shoto tilted his head to the side, confused.
'I'm just kidding, babes. Go on.' His friend playfully shoved him, and Shoto tried not to think too hard about being called "babes", even if it was a jibe.
'Okay, so remember how I said you're the best thing that could ever happen to me?' He began, focusing on Izuku's hand still covering his own. 'Well, it's more than that. I've never felt this way about anyone before, but when I'm with you, I never want it to end. You've made me smile more than I have in years, and every time you smile, life seems a little brighter by it. You're beautiful, both inside and out, and I can't imagine a life without you.'
He looked up to find Izuku staring at him, tears streaming down his face as he rubbed circles into Shoto's hand. A few months ago, he would've been worried at having made his friend cry, but now he knew better. Crying was a good thing with Izuku.
He exhaled shakily. 'I- I like you, Izuku. So, so much.'
Before he could comprehend what was happening, his friend suddenly leapt forward, wrapping his arms around Shoto's shoulders and tackling him to the ground. His back hit the sand with a muffled thud, but he hardly cared, returning the hug as Izuku nuzzled into his neck.
'I like you too!' He mumbled, tears dampening Shoto's skin. 'We'll be okay, promise. Todoroki won't be able to touch you here. I won't let him.'
'Izuku…' Shoto's throat felt tight as he rested his head back, not caring about the grains of sand burrowing into his hair. 'This can't be real.'
'Why not?'
'Because you're perfect.' His vision blurred and Shoto shut his eyes to prevent any tears from falling. 'This can't be real.'
'Is it real if I do this?' Izuku lifted his head up to look at him, before bringing his hand forwards and pressing his fingertip to Shoto's nose. 'Boop.'
Shoto crossed his eyes to follow the digit, eliciting an amused giggle from Izuku that was surprisingly contagious.
'That helps thank you.' Shoto laughed, his nose feeling strange as it was squished.
'Hmmm, I'm glad.' Izuku whispered, finally removing his finger to cup Shoto's cheek instead. The two stared at each other and Shoto tried to commit every feature to memory, from the spots of emerald in his verdant irises to the way the corners of his eyes crinkled with mirth.
He watched as a tongue darted out of Izuku's mouth to lick the bottom of his plump albeit slightly chapped lips. 'What about if I do this?'
Izuku leaned forward then and captured Shoto's lips in a quick kiss. He gasped upon the contact, and when Izuku pulled away he found himself chasing the feeling needily.
Izuku's cheeks were dusted pink and he sat up. 'Sorry, I should've asked first- Umph!'
Shoto sat up enough to link his arms back around Izuku's waist and pulled him down for another kiss. It was awkward - Shoto had no idea what he was doing and he assumed his friend didn't either. It was okay though, they could learn together.
'Izuku.' Shoto murmured against his mouth. 'I really am glad I met you, and I'm sorry for lying.'
Izuku rubbed their noses together before pressing a quick peck to his lips.
'It's okay really.' He whispered. 'I trust you.'
They spent the rest of the afternoon curled up on that beach towel together, and when they arrived at the Midoriya household for dinner that evening, holding hands, Inko was nothing but delighted.
Yes, Shoto had moved to Izumo to escape, but he hadn’t expected to love life quite as much as he did right now.

Match up! ^ↀᴥↀ^
Idk if you’ll get this but realized in my matchup request I never described myself so I’m 5’6 with long light brown hair and brown eyes and clear slightly tinted gold glasses and I’m v skinny no matter what I eat and the best way I can describe how I dress is just a disaster bi flannels and high waisted jeans
Hi!! I was wondering if I could have a matchup with ikemen sengoku? I’m a Capricorn idk if you care about zodiac stuff. I’m also a Hufflepuff. I’m really really shy and I’m reeaally awkward until you get to know me well and then I laugh and joke around a lot. I’m really sarcastic and have a pretty dry sense of humor. I blush really easily when I get embarrassed or flustered and I find basically everything embarrassing. I have pretty bad generalized and social anxiety and it stops me from doing a lot of things I would want to do. I’ve been told I’m very blunt and honest. Even though I’m really quiet I have really strong opinions. I’m a pretty hard worker and I love reading, hiking, animals and I’m really into mythology and fantasy lore. I’m kind of a loner and I enjoy spending most of my time alone. I’m daydreaming in my head like 90% of the day. I’m probably kinda touch starved even though I act like I don’t want to be touched. Sorry if this was really long and thank you again ❤️❤️❤️
Hi hi, love! Thank you so much for the request! And thanx for being so patient! Hehehe I don’t mind a long description, it helps the creative processes lol! I hope you enjoy it love and I hope you have a good day! ❤❤❤😆🌻
So I match you with…….. Masamune
Tumblr media
The first time Masamune saw you, he was intrigued. You look like a small, scared kitten sitting all alone in the corner of the council room after being named Oda princess. You had barely spoken two words since entering the room, and you hadn’t even muttered a single word the whole horse ride back to the castle. Masamune’s keen gazed locked with your deep brown eyes from across the room. He saw a flash of something playful swirling in those eathy eyes, and he instantly knew there must be more to you than meets the eye. You didn’t hold his gaze for very long, as the second you had locked eyes you instantly yielded and looked down, blush spreading like a wildfire across your face. Yes, there was definitely more to you than meets the eye
Masamune wasn’t the only one who had noticed your shy demeanour as Mitsuhide’s keen fox eyes had also been on you since the moment you walked through the door. You reminded him of a timid little mouse, and boy oh boy did he feel the need to tease you. When the council ended, both men came up to you, and it was on. With the first teasing line, Mitsuhide had sent your way, you were already as red as a tomato. Masamune sent you one of his broad smiles and joined Mitsuhide in teasing you. You were incredibly flustered, when finally Hideyoshi took notice of your bright red face, and the two men bulling you and decided to help you out.
TBH he didn’t suspect you of being an assassin at all. Mainly cause you were too shy to meet anyone’s gaze, and he noticed how your hands were shaking the whole time Nobunaga was talking to you. From the moment he saw you, you were sister zoned in his mind. He pulled both Masa and Mitsu away from you by their kimono collars. “hey, how many time have I told you not to bully people, especially not sweet kind souls like her and Mitsunari.” You breathed a sigh of relief as Hideyoshi took your hand and showed you around the castle
You worked incredibly hard, which gained you the respect and trust of all the Oda forces. The only thing was, that because you were so shy you found it challenging to open up to the people around you. However, your shyness was no problem for the one-eyed dragon, he had his sights set on you from day one, and he was determined to dig deeper and find out more about you. He would pester you every free moment he got. He would drag you with him to his favourite tea houses for tea and chats, of course at the beginning of your relationship he did most of the talking. It wasn’t uncommon for him to during these tea dates to poke you on the nose, “Hey you really don’t talk much do you.” HE low key loved to tease you like this just to get you all flustered. After that, he would go back to talking about the most random of topics. You didn’t open up entirely to the one-eyed dragon until the day he sent you on a series of wild goose-chases
Masamune was getting desperate, he had spent many a tea date with you, but every time just as it looked like you were going to make some sarcastic comment back to one of his dumb remarks, you blushed and kept quiet. Today was the day he thought. Early that morning, you were summoned to Nobunaga’s room where he handed you a letter to deliver to Ieyasu. You still didn’t really know all the Oda forces too well, and you found Yasu slightly scary, so you were feeling pretty anxious about the task, but Nobu being Nobu didn’t take no for an answer.
You slowly made your way to Ieyasu’s place where you received a riddle that you had to solve. He handed you the mystery and you legit just stared blankly at it, it was a really badly drawn picture of a monkey. You legit didn’t have a clue what it meant. When Ieyasu saw the worried look on your face, he gave you one of his rare smiles and gestured for you to sit down, while he made the two of you some tea. You handed him the riddles in hopes that he may have some insight into solving it, and as he examined the paper, you spotted a book about animals. Ieyasu noticed your gaze lingering on the book, rolled his eyes and told you the riddle was pointing you in the direction of Hideyoshi’s manor. You finished your tea and thanked Ieyasu, before you made your way out the door he, lightly tugged on your sleeve and handed you the book you were staring at, “I’ve already read this one, it’s a good read if you like animals”. He then turned away and went to sit back down at his desk.
You made your way to Hideyoshi’s manor where you were faced with Mitsuhari, Ramnanru and Hideyoshi. As they handed you the next badly drawn picture riddle, your stomach gave a loud growl. You blushed in embarrassment, Hideyoshi simply gave you his sunshine smile and presented you with some food, that Masamune had dropped off earlier that day. The four of you dug in, and you found yourself opening up a little more. You considered the three of them close friends. You looked at the next clue and knew it was pointing you in the direction of the resident kitsune, you were not too keen on visiting him, as he would always tease you mercilessly. You bid the three farewell and made your way to Mitsuhide’s Manor.
He wasted no time in teasing you, while handing you the final clue, you were slightly confused as this time it was a picture of a tiger. Mitsuhide smiled his snake like smile and pointed in the direction of Masamune’s manor. Despite the teasing you actually enjoyed chatting with Mitsuhide, he even gave you a handful of sweets which brought a smile to your face.
As you walked into Masamune’s manor, you were attacked by a big cat. The cat had pounced on you the second you entered into the room, knocking you to the floor, and he was now licking you all over your face. You laugh swatting away the big cat when you finally realized that it wasn’t just a big cat but a baby tiger. Masamune, who was standing in the doorway, watching the whole scene unfold, had a fond smile on his lips as he approached you and the cub. But instead of helping you get the heavy cub off of you, he joined the little thing in tickling you.
Soon you had two playful tigers making you laugh. In between your laughing fit, you couldn't help but make the driest sarcastic jokes Masamune has ever head. It was now his turn to laugh in delight, he knew there was more to you than shyness and anxiety. That afternoon it seemed that all your walls were broken down, as you were being your true self with Masamune. The two of you joked around and played with the little tiger all afternoon.
You were actually really thankful for Masamune and Nobunaga’s weird riddle goose chase, as it had forced you to spend time with, and get to know the Oda forces a little better. You were now able to relax around them and show them the playful part of your personality. TBH you and Masa would now always be together during banquets, making the driest of jokes and howling in laughter at your sarcastic comebacks to Mitsuhide’s teasing or Ieyasu’s comments. The two of you goofballs were always together
You were thankful to Masamune cause not only did he bring you out your shell, but he helped you with your anxiety. He knew it would sometimes prevent you from taking action and doing the things you really wanted to do. He would take you on fun crazy adventures, and whenever your anxiety would rise up, he would shut it down with some stupid joke or by giving you the first push. The two of you could often be found hiking up mountainsides and exploring cool new places. Masamune loved that you were into fantasy lore as it made your adventure all the more interesting. One time the two of you goofballs went exploring in a scary part of the forest simply because one of the townspeople swore they saw a fairy. When you and Masamune head the story, you looked at each other and nodded in unison.
The transition from friendship to relationship was pretty smooth and natural, and Masamune being him, legit just blurted out that he loved you one day and kissed you. He liked to show his intentions with action rather than words.
He loves loves loves to cuddle and snuggle you. He low key knows you are touched starved and let be real this boi love language is physical touch, so he is most happy when you are nestled in his arms
He loves everything about you, from your sweet, kind heart to your ability to daydream for hours. Often he would find you staring off into space wholly enveloped in a daydream. He would smile his mischievous smile and decide to pull a little prank on you. He would usually steal your glasses right off your face and boop your nose. When you come back to reality, you notice that everything is blurred expect a very handsome Masamune right in front of your face, sneakily wearing your glasses, “If you want these back kitten you will have to pay the fee.” You smile at your lover, “And what would the fee be, to get back my sight.” At that Masamune grabs you by the waist and pulls you closer to kiss you. You take advantage of the kiss to steal back your glasses and once you have them you boop Masa on the nose and run. These games of chase usually end up with the two of you out of breath in a fit of laughter, as Masamune always manages to catch you and tickles you into submission
He loves how blunt and honest you are, fearlessly stating your opinions to him. He will always listen to all your opinions with an open mind and will gladly stand up for you and your opinions, when you are too shy or anxious to do so yourself.
Masamune respects that you need some alone time to recharge and knows that when you have had enough of your own company, that you would find him. The two of you are often together, your favourite spot in the world to be, is cuddled in Masamune’s arms. If the two of you aren’t enjoying the presence of each other while doing your own thing in the same room, the both of you are off on some fun hiking adventure exploring and just having the best time
 Other potential matches………………Mitsuhide
Hope you enjoyed it love and i hope you have a good day! ❤😆🌻🔥

Arranged Marriage
The flurry of letters arriving for Ieyasu was starting to become really noticeable to even her as she saw the stack he had piled on his desk. He didn't open them just continued to pile them up. This was going on for weeks, and he wouldn't discuss it with her at all. It was getting to the point of frustration with her because each of the letters seemed to written from the same hand, a female hand. She wanted to know what was going on and he refused to talk to her about it.
She was nearly in tears at this point as another letter showed up. What was going on as he wouldn't say she didn't want even to ask anymore as it seemed to cause a divide between them. Whatever was going to happen was going to happen. It was that feeling as she rounded the corner into the hallway for the great hall as she overheard the guys talking.
"so, did you tell her yet?", Masamune asked.
"no, why would I?", Ieyasu replied.
"ahh, I don't know because she should know.", Masamune replied huffily.
"why? it doesn't pertain to her."
"it doesn't pertain to her?", Hideyoshi said perplexed. "how could it not?"
"it just doesn't. okay?", Ieyasu countered.
"I do not understand the problem Lord Ieyasu; I do think that the princess has the right to know of your impending marriage.", Mitsunari said back.
"it doesn't matter to her.", He grumpily replied. She on the corner of both hallways gasped at the mention that Ieyasu was getting married. That was what all those letters were. They were from her. How did he think it didn't matter to her? It mattered, it mattered greatly. She turned to find Nobunaga and Mitsuhide walking toward her both engrossed in a conversation that didn't matter. They both looked up and saw her expression and face. They instantly knew something was wrong, but before she could be asked a question, she ran right through them the opposite way. She wanted to be well away before the tears threatened to spill.
"what has gotten into the Princess?", Nobunaga asked as he saw the group of men in the hallway.
"what do you mean we haven't seen her.", Mitsunari asked.
"well, she saw all of you. What were you talking about?", Mitsuhide asked slightly concerned now.
"nothing. I will handle it, after war counsel.", Ieyasu said.
"we were talking if Ieyasu had told her about his arraigned marriage or not. He hadn't.", Masamune said.
"Oh No, you moron.", Nobunaga said turning on Ieyasu.
"I don't see what the problem is.", Ieyasu hastily replied.
"the problem is simple; she doesn't come from this time. She understands marriage between only two people. There are no real concepts of arraigned marriages in her time or how they are handled. She
chose you however you never told her of this simple thing you may have lost her because of it.", Mitsuhide explained.
"She will be fine with it.", he replied.
"I don't think so.", Hideyoshi said pointing to the road far off from the castle. They could see a horse taking off away from the castle as fast as it could go, with a lone rider, a female.
Nobunaga started toward the stable himself as he told Ieyasu to stay behind as he would probably make things worse for them and himself. Hideyoshi was near wringing his hands as his horse was being readied. The two Mitsu's and Masamune also were waiting by their already saddled horses. They would have to branch off at some point so having all of them would be a boon to finding her quickly but everyone knew where she would go. She only had one other friend who didn't live at the castle, and that was the enemy ninja. She would head there however they all knew she didn't know the way and was bound to get lost or run into bandits. They all would gladly rip Ieyasu to spreads slowly if something happened to her.
Ieyasu watched the departing men while still trying to deal with the fact he was the one who hurt her. He hoped that they would bring her back safely and they could talk. His marriage meant nothing to him, but he had never questioned that it would mean something different to her. She did have a right to know, but he had overlooked that right for his own feelings. He had to marry this person, it was written years ago, well before the time she had entered his life and had shown him what it was to love. He had to honor that contract that his father and her father had written. It wasn't that he wanted to, he had too.
She was well from the castle when she had a choice of which way to go. She assumed no one would be following her just yet so she took the path on the right. She really didn't know where she was going, but she knew the direction she would go. Somewhere she would ask someone had to know where the other castle was. She really didn't care if she put distance between them and her. She rode faster and hard but soon she realized she was in a forest is probably not the smartest to do that. Right, when she slowed down her horse pitched forward and fell. She was thrown a reasonable distance but landed in a pile of leaves that did help cushion the blow.
When the warlords came to the fork in the road, the leading party continued on the main path. Mitsunari went down the path to the right and Masamune went left. Mitsunari was met with the sight of her horse laying on the ground soon after, he hopped off his horse and tied it up. He bent to look at the horses' wounds and found the trip wire she must have run right into. It was an easy way to stop someone on the path for a bandit; however, this wire looked old and rusted as if no one had been here for quite some time. He heard a rustling in the leaves as he saw her kimono trying to wrestle with a stick it looked like to him. He walked over watching her have a fit trying to stand. "Princess? Are you okay?", he politely asked.
"does it look like I am okay?", she asked back.
"it looks like you are caught.", he said. "hold on, and I will free you."
"I won't be going anywhere.", she said hastily. "I am stuck."
After a few minutes, he unwound the bundle of fabric that had been around a rather large tree. She was happy to stand up and started to walk over to the horse. She could see that she could not be ridden again as she looked up to Mitsunari. "are we going to have to go back now?", she asked.
"well, I don't see any way around that Princess. The others are still looking for you."
"I don't want to go back Mitsunari. I don't! Please don't make me!", she cried out.
"but princess we have to go back."
"I understand that, but I don't want to. Not now at least."
"why?"
"you know why. He didn't tell me that he was getting married Mitsunari. That's a big deal. I mean who doesn't tell their girlfriend they are getting married....... To someone else." As she spoke they both could feel the air changing around them, it was getting heavy, and a few spatters of rain were breaking through the trees. "wonderful. Now it's raining."
"we can take shelter there, "he said as he pointed in the distance to a small hut. She hadn't even seen that before.
"fine," she said as he led her and the horses to the small building and he hurried to gather some wood for a fire before the impending downpour. She sat on the wood floor alone in her thoughts. She knew marriage in this time was different than that of hers; she had seen that. She couldn't get over the fact that he thought she would be okay with it. She had said more than once that she wouldn't be, couldn't be the other woman. How dare he not tell her! She wanted nothing to do with him. Nothing like every time she pictured him in her mind she would feel like exploding. It was eating at her both her anger and her sadness. She stayed because of him, she gave up her life in the future because of him, and he was getting married to someone else. Someone he didn't know but would have to have heirs with. He expected her to share him? How was that even a remote fair thing to ask?
"Princess it looks like it will be coming down for a while, you can sleep if you wish.", he softly said.
"I am too everything to sleep. Mitsu.", She said laughing.
"He really does love you.", He softly said.
"it doesn't matter anymore if he did or did not. He didn't tell me something very important, and now I am stuck here. It isn't right you know. I gave up everything to stay here because of him. He expects me to do what? Wait for him every other week? I am not a concubine nor could I be.", She said. " He knew that. Or I thought he did. In my time Mitsu people choose their own spouses. It is only one couple instead of a man with ten women attached. They share everything but with themselves. Oh, what am I explaining this for?"
"Maybe so I can understand your anger. Which is correctly pointed. If you told him this than I do understand. He should have told you before you had to leave. I won't ever say that you should have, but you should have been given a choice. I am glad you stayed. I would miss you terribly if you left.", He smiled at her.
"Oh, Mitsu. What would I do without you.", she said as she moved nearer to him as the wood was already too wet and she was cold.
"Princess sleep. Here," he said as he opened his arms and she could find herself wrapped in an angel's embrace. His warmth found her, and she started to doze. He watched her as she calmed down from her flight, fall, and being trapped and he for once understood why she was upset. He didn't understand how Ieyasu could put her through this knowing her as he did. He knew he would do anything for this small female wrapped in his arms asleep and if that meant he had to help her over Ieyasu he would.
After they all returned to the castle the next day and she ignored Ieyasu's request to see her and talk. He began to notice he already lost her by his not telling her. She would go out of her way not to speak with him in the next coming weeks, and he was out of time. His intended bride was on her way to the ceremony. The castle was humming with excitement for him except her of course. She had asked Nobunaga if she could be left out of the celebrations and he agreed wishing there was some other way to bring her smile back. Nobunaga also had noticed his tactician had moved closer to her and he hoped he could maybe break through to her.
She wanted nothing to do with the wedding nor the party afterward to welcome this woman into the Oda forces family as they liked to call it. She wished she could be anywhere but at the castle. The day before Hideyoshi had come in to check on her; he had been hovering more and more since the day was getting closer. He had suggested that maybe she go somewhere, anywhere but here now. She wished she could, but Nobunaga said that would be seen as a slight on the Oda name as she was an Oda princess. She wondered if the fact she wouldn't go to either the ceremony or party would still be seen as a slight just not as big. It didn't matter to her anymore. She had thrown herself into her work, and she was spending more and more time with Mitsunari who would just show up at the most random times. She found a nice bit of friendship in him as he helped her think of anything but what was going on.
She ran into the warlords as the left for the ceremony all dressed up in the traditional clothes. She smiled at them even though it was strained; it was an improvement from glaring at everyone. She noticed Mitsu wasn't with them. He was probably asleep or his head in a book. She decided to go to Hideyoshi's manor to check. He wasn't there; then she headed to the library he wasn't there either. Finally, she knew she had tried and went back to her own room. As she slid open the door, she saw him sitting by the window for the maximum light, and he didn't even look up. "Mitsu! I have been looking for you! You need to get to the temple, now or you will miss it.", she said as he looked up at her.
"Okay then.", he said as he made no motion to move.
"get up!", she said.
"why? I have no plans of going if you are not there.", he calmly said.
"what?", she asked.
"I will be staying with you today. This is more important, being with you, today.", he said as he stood up and stood before her. "You are more important and deserve better."
"Mitsu.", She softly said. As his arms closed around her. He brushed a feather light kiss on her hair.
As Ieyasu married his arraigned bride, she found hope in the most unthought-of place, with a friend. As the wedding party started hers and his arrival shocked some as they walked in hand in hand. She walked up to Ieyasu's bride and told her she was a lucky woman and welcomed her to the Oda Force family. She had noticed of course that everyone except her Mitsu had moved slightly closer and was ready to pounce if need be. She turned and stood back against the wall without saying anything to him though. Nobunaga beamed his approval to her, and Hideyoshi nodded as well. Mitsuhide and Masamune were discussing the bet they had made that she would kill them both she didn't know which side picked either. She looked at the man who was by her side the entire time and smiled again for him. She didn't feel alone or helpless with him by her side.

GP Helsinki Journal - Day 3
The things I do for figure-skating and one special Japanese boy... Wake up at 5am to get ready. Take a tram to the rink at 6am, than wait in a huge line to be let it for a 7am practice though he is in the second group but baby Jun was in the first one. So forget breakfast and coffee, or sleep. I had priorities.
Before we get to me cooing over Jun in practice again I met a Japanese lady at the tram station. Only us waiting at the stop and she was confused which side she needs to stand to get to the ice hall. Broken English vs broken Japanese but we made it work. Drunk Finnish guy trying to ruin the fun but we stuck together. In the tram she asked if I am going to the ice hall too and I said yes, followed up if I like Yuzu and I said yet again yes, showing her my group fan hoodie with chibi Seimei I wore both for SP and FS days. She instantly popped her bag open and handed me some 'not so hard to get clear files' and two 'difficult to get' ones and I stared at her at 6:10am to make sure she was real. She said yes. I died and couldn't thank her enough. Than she tops it off with asking if I was at the parade and said no. She was and showed me pictures. I was so jealous and told her so. To which she asked if I have Line and I do have, we exchanged contacts. She sent me like 40 pictures of hers from the parade and I kept dying, later in the queue more from Rostelecom 2017 - 70 pics in total. We walked together to the ice hall, chatting a little bit. Asking me if I learn Japanese and I confirmed I know a little and she just said 'oh that is more than a little'. So we stood in the crazy line together. Talking here and there but she spotted some people she knows before us so spoke to them too and I kept behind.
As the line started to advance somehow they turned to me as some topic about clear files came up, I gathered and they asked me if I have the newest ones. I shook my head (also confused of which new ones they meant) and to that her friend whipped out a pile of the new Xylitol ones and told me I could pick one. I died again, right before entering the venue. So I got a gorgeous green kimono Yuzu. We separated saying to meet again, me going into a bowing frenzy because wow. As I think back I am pretty sure she is the same lady who gave me the Ghana ones too the day before. 😍
Tumblr media
The one lady sitting next to me arrived too and she handed me two candies with Yuzu (fruit) and Ginger. The inside joke was hilarious and we giggled together and I thanked her. Not too long after a girl sat down in front of me, taking her seat and suddenly turned around giving me two sample chocolates from Ghana (GUYS THAT CHOCOLATE MELTS ON YOUR TONGUE, IT’S SO GOOD). My eyes were probably as big as two plates.
I re-adjusted in my seat after he shocks, ready for practice and to be slayed by baby Jun. I wasn't all too disappointed even if the practice looked here and there wonky. His short costume makes him look amazing and my seat was at the skater entrance so they nearly sat up their corner right in my face. Queue me taking like 100 pictures of Jun even if half of them were his back or blurry because speed while skating haha.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Once I survived that one I looked to the side to spot Keiji and since Mr Attention took mine the day prior I jumped on the chance to take pictures of him rink-side. I am happily clicking away when suddenly after a few clicks a certain gorgeous boy walks into the frame and I get a heart-attack. - literally my camera roll as it happened...
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Queue my attention being stolen again - I am sorry Keiji I tried and by the end of the practice I had no more pictures than 4 of you like the day before - and getting so much of Yuzus back (🍑). Yuzu is truly marvelous even in training and while yes he did make mistakes, fell and popped a few jumps, OVERROTATED A FEW AXELS. I was the happiest girl in the world.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Also somehow I managed to give Keiji some attention at one point! So good job from my side. Kolyada I apologize I think I watched you for two seconds. Boyang apparently didn't show which I didn't realize until someone else pointed it out during the Pair practice two hours later. Oops? I am truly sorry.
Pairs practice I technically missed as by 10am I needed coffee and by 11 or something I managed to get breakfast too.
Ladies practice was good. Definitely liking Yuna and Kaori from Japan. Hanul from Korea is also pretty good (I walked past her the day before in the corridor and she is so tiny and cute I stared and hurried away because I feel awkward 😂) after the short the day before I was praying for Kaori because that girl deserves the world, her practice looked good so I kept hoping.
I missed Dance practice while sitting there because I spent it to transfer my pictures to my phone. Oops. Also eat and do the necessities before 12:45pm rolled around to slay me with the Men's short.
JUN-FUCKING-HWAN CHA SLAYED ME. He fought like a true champion and the amount of proud I have felt for him was a lot! BOY IS GOOD. And damn he can catch things like a pro, watched him do it with two presents thrown at him. I feel like he is one of the up and coming skaters now, he is slaying this season and I can’t wait to see more of him!
As the time was approaching for Group 2 I spotted Matsuoka-san below our Tribune and I was shocked. HE IS SO TALL AND HANDSOME. And him applying chap-stick is kind of mesmerizing too.
Tumblr media
Obviously they were waiting for a certain Japanese boy showing up with his aggressive lip-syncing, murder gaze and ready to slay and OH BOY DID HE SLAY.
Tumblr media
This was the moment where my heart-rate was so high my fitness tracked thought I was actually exercising??
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Upgraded Otonal is GORGEOUS. I mean I was blown away just seeing it in person because pictures don’t do his costumes justice okay? Took me like a few minutes to see it is different from the ACI one and I love it, the darker tones are so good, the bling is blinding. I was shaking with excitement.
Watching skaters falling apart during their programs is the worst thing ever, and they had such bad ice conditions, everyone was having trouble. My heart ached for Keiji, he did so well in practice and the short was...*sighs* my section was trying to be loud for him.
AND IT WAS TIME FOR THE KING TO ARRIVE. Nothing can describe the kind of atmosphere in the arena, you have to be there to feel how it was electrified throughout his performance or how loud people truly were. During his spins right before the step sequence once he slayed with his jumps (That 4S was as gorgeous at it gets and deserved the +4.3 GOE, WOW) the screams were getting louder and by the start of the sequence IT WAS SO LOUD THE MUSIC COULDN’T BE HEARD. The standing ovation was incredible and the moment he stopped I was on my feet, fighting tears.
106.69 - NEW WORLD RECORD
My heart exploded, my cheeks hurt from smiling so hard, I was so damn happy and I didn’t mind clocking a photographer with my goat plush because LISTEN MR YUZURU-FUCKING-HANYU CAME AND SNATCHED ALL THE WIGS.
I have witnessed it, I have the privilege to watch him skate clean (yeah I know there were some mistakes but landed all the jumps and you know if he finally does it without any mistakes, it is going to be something nobody can touch, the scores will be higher than ever!) in Helsinki with his Hope & Legacy gloves and get a new WR. I was high on adrenaline for the rest of the day, which was good because I had to prepare for the ladies mentally.
Somewhere in between I think one Japanese lady tried to pass by me to get to her seat and I stood up, greeted her and she stopped, looked at me and asked if I was a Yuzu fan, I confirmed and showed her my hoodie with chibi Seimei. She asked to take a picture and than dropped her bag and pulled out a clear file with the same Seimei pose and handed it to me. It was filled with commercial from Phiten with Yuzu and a Japanese newspaper. I stared like HUH, asked her in Japanese if I can truly keep it, she nodded all excited about it. Boy, these ladies are true heroes out here providing goodies for International fans like us!
Tumblr media
After the Men’s short I was looking around and spotted NOBU, he was filming with Matsuoka-san and I died, he looked good! I ended up seeing more often later on but I leave these people be, let their do their thing. I do not stalk any of them.
Tumblr media
As if Yuzu didn’t slay, KAORI CAME TROUGH. SHE IS THE NEW QUEEN AND NOBODY CAN CHANGE MY MIND. THAT FREE WAS EVERYTHING; SHE GAVE EVERYTHING AND GOD I AM SO PROUD OF HER.
Coming back up to 3rd from 7th place shows the fighting spirit she has and the standing ovation for her that day was truly well deserved. I saw the crowd stand twice, for Yuzu and Kaori.
Saturday was an emotional roller-coaster but everything and much more I could hope for. Well exhausted and tired, I left before the Dance competition, which I felt truly sorry for but couldn’t stick around, nor the WC for them. It stopped around 11 PM I believe and gosh, I wasn’t able to do that. While I counted with lack of sleep, cold, emotional roller-coaster, tears and heart-break I was way too tired.
Part 3 with Day 4 coming separately because wow... I rambled here even more.

Could I possibly request a reader insert for Kiba having a crush on a girl who hangs out with Yugi and stuff? She's a model and he thinks she could keep better company, she just defends her friends and also defends Kiba if anyone asks why she's friends with him? If you don't feel like writing anything for this that's ok! Thank you
You can request it! I went a little long on this one and took some liberties on the realities of modeling. I hope you enjoy it.
You arrived two hours early to the location of the photo shoot, just to pace around the shrine. The small group of friends you normally hung around with was keeping you company until it started, but you still needed to keep moving to burn off the nervous energy.
“Try to calm down,” Teá advised you. “It’s not like this is your first job. You’ve been modeling for a while.”
“Two years,” you said. “But I’ve never worked with this photographer before. He’s supposed to be really good. If he likes working with me that could open up a lot more jobs.”
“More jobs?” Joey did some calculations on his fingers. “You’re already out of class more often than not. If you do any more than this, won’t you be held back?”
You rolled your shoulders and started to do a few stretches. “I’ll just have to transfer to a school that supports working students, that’s all.”
Yugi frowned. “There aren’t any schools like that in Domino City. You’d have to move to Tokyo.”
“Tokyo?” asked Joey and Tristan together.
You put one hand over your shoulder to grasp the other one between your shoulder blades. “I’ll have to go eventually. Modeling is my dream; there’s nowhere better in Japan to realize it.”
“But we’ll miss you,” said Yugi softly.
“Can’t you wait until graduation?” asked Tristan.
Teá stood. “Guys, if she has the chance to chase after her dream now, she should go for it. Don’t guilt trip her into missing an opportunity.”
“Thanks, Teá. Besides, we’ll still keep in touch. Maybe you can even visit me! Assuming it actually happens, of course.” A commotion at the entrance of the shrine drew your attention. “Oh, it’s the shoot director. Just a moment, guys.” You left and went to greet the film crew.
“Otsukaresama,” you said, bowing to the director and the rest of the crew who were carrying various equipment.
“Ah, you’re here,” said director Murasaki. “There’s been a slight change in plans. Instead of a solo shoot, we’re going to feature a celebrity.”
Your nerves jangled. “Celebrity?”
“Don’t worry,” he said. “He’s done a few modeling jobs before. Have you met Seto Kaiba of Kaiba Corporation?”
“Yes, Murasaki-san.” You beamed, instantly relieved. “We’ve done a few shoots together.”
The director raised an eyebrow. “I see. Well, if he relaxes you so much, maybe we should invite him to all of your projects.”
Your face burned. “He’s just a friend. Oh, and speaking of friends, do you mind if mine observe?” You indicated the group behind you.
“If they aren’t disturbing the shoot I don’t mind if they watch. But tell them that if they cause even one missed shot they’ll need to leave.”
“Yes, sir.” You turned and pranced back to your friends.
“Okay, guys. You have permission to stay as long as you don’t interfere.”
“Whoa, really? Thanks,” said Teá.
Tristan was already watching the crew set up the lights and setting. “I’ve never seen anything like this.”
“Now I’ll finally know how they get those pictures in the magazines,” said Joey.
“It probably won’t be as exciting as what you’re envisioning. It will be a long day; I don’t even have my make-up done yet. Feel free to leave any time you want.”
“Don’t worry,” said Yugi, holding up his duel monsters deck. “We’ll have something to do during the slow parts. We want to support you.”
“Thanks, Yugi.” You looked over and saw that the stylist was ready for you.
“Okay, I’ve got to go get ready. See you later!”
The photographer came while you were getting styled. He was a small, friendly man who put you at ease immediately when you were introduced. “But where is our other model?” he asked.
“Kaiba-san is arriving just now,” said the director, walking up with him.
“Nice to meet you, Takashima-san,” said Kaiba with a small bow. “I’m honored to get the opportunity to work with you today.”
“Not at all. I believe you already know each other,” said Takashima, indicating you.
Kaiba’s eyes fell on you with the same burning intensity they always held. “Of course.” Takashima looked between you curiously.
“Since I have you both here, I’ll go over the objectives,” said Murasaki. “We’re selling perfume. The characters are an onmyoji and a noblewoman. The theme is ‘appreciation.’ Any questions?” You and Kaiba shook your heads. “Great. Now, Kaiba-san, you get into costume and when you’re done it’ll be your turn for make-up.”
Kaiba went and changed. When he came back, your heart nearly stopped. He struck an imposing figure. When you first heard the theme you couldn’t imagine what Kaiba would look like in old-fashioned clothes. They actually really suited him. He sank into the chair next to you, a haughty look on his face at the way you were staring. Then a commotion across the yard caught his eye.
“Why are these idiots here?” he muttered, watching Joey and Tristan start arguing over something.
You bristled. “They’re my friends. They’re here to support me.”
He turned to you, eyes scorching. “And what could they possibly offer you? You’re clearly on a different level from those dweebs. You should spend time with someone you can relate to.”
“And who would that be?” you asked.
“Me.” He leaned towards you; the makeup artist brushing powder on his cheeks squealed in frustration. “We live in a different world from them. I can understand what you’re going through and what you need. Besides, your popularity is only going to go up. If you continue to hang out with them it will affect your image.”
“I don’t see how that could happen. They’re just friends from school.”
“They’ll drag you down. You will surely be a celebrity and the media will not be kind if they see you hanging out with people like that,” he indicated the raucous group. “Are you really going to give up your dreams for them?”
You couldn’t respond right away. You had dreamt of being a model since you were small, and you knew it would mean sacrifices. But were friends like that—people from high school that you might lose touch with anyway—worth giving it up?
You didn’t get to reach a conclusion because the photographer was ready for you. With your styling done, both you and Kaiba reported to the stage they had set up beneath a blooming cherry tree. “Let’s start you both standing so that the kimono stays as clean as possible,” said Murasaki.
Perfume. Noblewoman. These were things you understood and you immediately took on the story. Appreciation was hard, but together with the other two, you understood that they were looking for a tone of innocent love. Perhaps Kaiba’s Onmyoji had saved your noblewoman and gratitude turned to something more.
Since you’d worked together before, you and Kaiba knew the right poses and angles to strike to set the scene, without much coaching from Murasaki and Takashima. In slight breaks where Takashima moved to a new angle or tried different camera settings, you were able to see your friends watching avidly.
Kaiba saw them, too. You could tell because when shooting started again his arms wrapped around you a little more and his expression sharpened. The soft, alluring quality he had displayed at the beginning became more enticing and bold. The camera shutter went crazy.
“See?” Kaiba murmured into your ear as you changed positions. “We look good together. We work well together. No one could cast doubts that we should be together.” He touched your chin, tilting it upwards so he could look into your face. “Drop them. Come to me.” He brought his own face down until your lips almost touched.
“Okay, I think we got it,” said Murasaki. You practically jumped away from Kaiba, heart racing. He didn’t look like it bothered him at all, so you had no way of knowing if he was just doing it for the shoot or if he really tried to kiss you just now.
“Kaiba-san,” you said, trembling a little. “I’m not going to let you confuse me. My dream is important to me, but I will never be able to fully realize it if I don’t have my friends beside me. That means them, but it also means you. You can’t use my dream to make me choose between you. If I encounter hardships because of who I want to spend my time with, then we’ll face those together. All of us.”
“That’s right,” said Yugi, making you jump. You hadn’t realized that they had come over. The whole group was there, standing beside you and glaring at Kaiba.
Kaiba shrugged. “Fine, keep the losers. You’ll end up relying on me either way.” He walked off to return his costume.
“What an ass,” said Joey, sticking out his tongue. “’You’ll end up relying on me,’ what kind of egocentry bullshit is that?”
“Joey,” said Tea, “that’s ‘egocentric.’”
“Yeah, egocentirc.”
“It’s okay, guys,” you said, finally calming down. “He’s looking out for me in his own way. Our friendship just looks a little different than the one I have with you.”
Yugi narrowed his eyes. “It didn’t really look like friendship to me.”
A blush rose to your cheeks. “What are you talking about? We had to be close for the shoot.”
“Oh, definitely.”
“Yeah, I’m sure.”
“Sounds right.”
“If you say so.”
If you didn’t like how I handled this prompt, or want to see something else, prompt me again!

BTS REACTIONS: Receiving a nude from their S/O
Requested: Yep <3 (some of them a FaceTime but 1 isn't)
Tumblr media
Disclaimer: A little smut
Jin:
Jin knew you weren't the happiest about your body, which was why he was shocked to find you texting him a nude during his break while at dance practice. You were naked, covering your breasts with your arm only causing him to find himself getting horny. He walked to the bathroom using the excuse that he needed pee, once he was locked in the bathroom he called you on facetime. You thought twice before picking up the call from your boyfriend as you had regretted sending him the pic in the first place being a little embarrassed, however you picked up “Hi Jinnie, what’s up?”, you looked at the screen and notice he wasn't look at you but instead looked up at the ceiling keeping in the moans begging to come you. “Oh, you're busy i see?” you looked at him trying to get a response, this time he finally seemed to notice you picking up the phone. “Baby you make me so horny at the worst times, that picture is amazing”
Yoongi:
You had been bored two days ago, waiting for Yoongi to finally come back from their tour knowing only a few days were left you had bought a see-through red lace teddy to put on and take a picture of yourself in it, but being too scared of sending it to Yoongi, you had put it off for two days. When you finally sent it, it was by accident wanting to sent a meme but accidentally send off your one and only nude to your boyfriend.
When Yoongi received the picture he instantly paused in his tracks on his way up to the apartment to surprise you  coming home 1 day early, he studied the picture while biting down on his bottom lip causing it to almost bleed at the force. He put his phone in his pocket before getting in the elevator to your floor. He walked inside the apartment no warning as you were casually sitting just drawing doodles on a piece of paper on the couch. Before you could react he was standing in front of you with crossed arms not letting you express how happy you were just yet. “You think you can tease your daddy like this? luckily for you i was alone.”He smirked at you before pulling you up from the couch, kissing you roughly, one hand on your neck lightly choking you and the other rubbing the outside of your panties.
J-Hope:
Hoseok had given you a silk kimono for your birthday, because you had once mentioned you thought they looked cute on everybody you saw wearing on. However it was a present he had given you right before heading to the concert they were playing tonight, which meant you never got to show him how it looked on so you decided to take a shower and then put it on to take a photo of you wearing it without closing it. When Hoseok received the photo they had just finished the show and was walking to the dressing room, however he tried his best to contain his excitement which caused him to FaceTime you. You answered immediately, “Heeey Hobi, how was the show?”, he took a while before answering looking at you through the phone, “You think you can play me like this baby girl? you’re gonna get punished when i get home so don't bother putting clothes one.” He winked at you before hanging up.
Namjoon:
You had wanted to send a nude to your boyfriend forever but never once did you have the guts to actually do it, well that was until you were laying in bed in just you panties cuddling up with Koya, and your best friend barged into the room taking the picture of you. “Are you serious b/f/n? i was literally just chilling? i didn't even know you were here, also delete the picture” your best friend just laughed at you, “i send it to him, so you're welcome also i snug in to grab your phone 3 hours ago and you were just sleeping in the same position basically naked. Also he is calling you” she panicked throwing your phone at you before running out of the room. You sighed before picking up, only to see your boyfriend angling his phone at his dick before on his face, “well thank you for that surprise y/n” you blushed like crazy at his remark, “well i didn't take it so, it was my best friend?”. He raised his eyebrow before saying anything else, “well i should thank her then, however i wouldn't mind being there with you instead of in a cold hotel room baby girl”
Jimin:
Jimin had been at dance practice for the entire day, and frankly he was starting to lose his energy. Well that was until you texted him a nude of yourself wearing his shirt only to be lifting it to expose your body but one breast. At first he started blushing, but after looking at the picture he couldn't help but admire you, he was turned on but it didn't stop him from overshadowing that by thinking how lucky he was for having you as his girlfriend. He decided to just call you quickly on facetime, seeing as he was on break from dancing right now. When you picked up he could see the nervousness on your face, which only caused him to smile even wider, “you’re so beautiful y/n thank you for blessing me by dating me”. You laughed at him for well thinking he was silly, because you were the lucky one, “just make sure i get to see the same amount of you when you get back, also don't shower, i love you all sweaty.”
Taehyung:
You weren't going to send a nude to him, but you wanted to send a picture of yourself in the bath, once you had taken it you noticed that you boobs were fully out there for the world to see, but deciding he is your boyfriend so why not. He received it while he was in the recording studio listening to Jin do his part, he stood there just eyes glued to his phone, honestly contemplating how to punish you for teasing him, so he decided to call you just to warn you, you picked up soon after as you loved seeing his face and hearing his voice, but you weren't ready for the look his eyes was carrying. “Oh baby girl you better give me a show after that teaser” He put in his earphones just incase you made any sounds, as he looked at the screen. “Taeeee noooooooo, I'm not going to finger myself on facetime, but you're welcome to come home and do it for me.” With this he almost looked pissed off, and he just hung up with not warning clearly angry with you for teasing him and disobeying him.
Jungkook:
You hadn't seen you boyfriend for over a month, and frankly you were missing the attention, you got plenty attention in the him calling and talking to you but sexually not so much. Instead you decided to solve the problem you had by making him think sexually of you even if you were far away from each other. You took off your clothes before before laying on the couch taking a selfie revealing your entire upper body. When he received the picture he almost choked(he was eating with the boys). He quickly put the phone in his pocket trying to block out the picture so he wouldn't get a boner in front of his hyungs. He excused himself before going to the bathroom calling you on FaceTime. “Yes?” you answered being confused as to why he called you instead of texting, “Do you need my attention this bad? because you got it” he smirked at you before flipping the camera revealing his member standing up fully ready to play. “Well thats more like it daddy, i wanted to have phone sex seeing as i’m feeling needy”.

Pantry Raiders
A side story in the same timeline/story/whatever as the “Beautifully Unbroken” with Tadakatsu and MC. This is what happens when @suzunesays challenges me to write a crackfic. I have ZERO excuses for this. Please enjoy!
Also tagging @jane-runs-fast @melody-chii and @alva-radio since they asked to nicely!
MC learns to go “downtown” with the help of daikon instructional aides.
“So…” She looked around awkwardly unsure where her eyes should be right now. This was the first time she had gotten Tadakatsu to this level of undress. Her blush telling him everything she didn’t feel comfortable saying.
“Something wrong, Milady?” He wondered eying her playfully.
“OH! Umm no!” Her gaze flashed back to him then away again. She fidgeted with her kimono just to have something to do with her hands.
“Milady, are you by any chance a virgin?” The way he phrased the question it didn’t come off like a question at all.
“I’m not without some experience! Just not with someone of your… size…” She snapped back defensively as she crossed her arms over her chest. Her bravado didn’t last long, she slumped forward and frowned.
“Well I am in great shape from training all the time. Don’t worry though, when the time comes I’ll be gentle.” He replied with an easy, warm smile as he moved to embrace her.
“That… That’s not exactly what I meant…” She mumbled as her blush intensified again when his naked body came into view.
“Oh?” He cocked an eyebrow playfully. “What ever did you mean then?” He asked teasingly as he waggled his eye brows. She thought he might have caught on, but he wouldn’t let up! He just kept staring at her with a cheesy grin, his naked body pressed against her.
“You have a rather large daikon!” She blurted out, almost immediately shrinking away in utter embarrassment.
WHY?! Why is it always food with me?
Just as she was about to hide behind her sleeves, Tadakatsu started laughing genuinely. He took her hands in his, resting his forehead on them. When he finally pulled himself together, he looked up at her very seriously.
“Don’t worry, Milady, I’ll make sure to properly till your field before burying my daikon in it…” Even though this was exactly something he would say, that didn’t make it, or its implications any less apparent.
“I know…” She sighed finally relaxing again. “I know…”
Lord Ieyasu was summoned to see Lord Nobunaga a few days after that awkward moment. For whatever reason, he deigned it unnecessary for her to go with them. That meant she would be alone in the castle for quite some time. She saw this as an opportunity. After seeing them off, she wandered into Tadakatsu’s room to find something to help her with her problem. She just wanted something to maybe, acclimate herself with someone of his… endowment… She swallowed hard as she browsed over his extensive collection before pulling a book at random off a shelf.
Why… why does he have a book called, “The Lover’s Guide for Women?”
She slowly opened the cover and flipped through the pages idly until something caught her eye. Some very graphic pictures made her drop the book initially. Though, she realized this was exactly what she had been looking for. After a hard swallow and deep breath, she picked up the book again and started reading the section titled, “Other Ways to Pleasure Your Lover.” Managing to read through the entire section, somehow, she hid the book in her obi so she could steal it away to her room.
The next day, she set off in search of what she needed to start practicing what she had learned. The book was very clear that practice makes perfect. The problem with that, she didn’t have anything, or anyone, rather, to practice with. Being as everything with her comes back to food, she decided produce was probably her best bet. Go with what you know! With that in mind, she went to the greengrocer. It was at this point she realized the problem with having such a good relationship with the greengrocer…
“OH! You came at just the right time! We just got some great produce! Look at the size of these daikon!” He beamed pulling out quite possibly the biggest daikon she had ever seen. She blanched instantly. “Is something wrong with it?” He wondered pulling the produce back and scrutinizing it. Now she was turning red. She tried to think quickly, to come up with something before he looked at her again.
“Well… it’s just… I wanted to try a new recipe and I don’t want to waste such a beautiful specimen if it doesn’t turn out…” She replied very bashfully. The greengrocer looked up at her with a knowing smile.
“I understand, you’re trying to impress a certain special someone, so you want to get it right before going for the good stuff.” He added a wink for good measure.
“Yes…” She replied with a sigh of relief shoulders untensing. Then her mind went south and her face colored again.
I guess he’s not wrong… I do want to get better before trying on Tadakatsu… It was at this point her brain ceased to function completely, realizing she was subconsciously agreeing with the greengrocer about something she never in her life would have imagined… That she could somehow equate a man’s *ahem* to the choicest produce was mortifying. And yet, she fully intended to stick it in her mouth as if to eat it. The whole line of thought she was going down on the one hand made her deeply aroused and deeply embarrassed all at once.
The green grocer continued fussing through his wares a few moments allowing her to calm down again. “I have just what you need…” He displayed some small and slightly lower quality pieces perfect for her needs. She made her selections and quickly headed back to the castle. No amount of rushing or focus could keep her thoughts straight. They kept straying back to naked Tadakatsu and how she wasn’t going to see him for quite a while. Somehow that made the ache worse.
There she sat in her room, a line of daikon in front of her, book opened to the page she needed. As she sat there staring at everything, amazingly all the other things she could have been doing ran through her head.
Did I do the preparations for dinner? Yes… before I went to town… Right, right… The washing? No, that’s done too. How about! No… Umeko helped me with that…
She went back to staring at the vegetables, a bit distraught.
Tadakatsu is much bigger and these seem so daunting…
She closed her eyes, sullenly slumped forward. Then, she sat up straight, a look of pure resolution as she patted her cheeks briskly. No, she was going to do this! Tadakatsu had been so kind and patient with her she wanted to reward him. Food he would be expecting. This, this he would not expect. She picked up one of the vegetables, washed and ready to go, and looked down at the book.
“Start with a firm but gentle grip on the base.” She got a firm hold on the green tops of the produce. “Depending on your Lover’s level of arousal…” she gulped, “you may need to stroke him… a few times… to make him…” She gulped again and skipped ahead a bit. “If there’s too much friction… try licking your hand first… or… him…” She dropped the daikon. This was too much. She couldn’t do this! What was she thinking?
She found her resolve again, steeling herself as she picked up the daikon. Trying to get over her nerves, she decided to just stick it in her mouth. Maybe, she thought, if she could get over that weirdness, she could back up and start from the beginning. She started off tentatively resting the daikon on the tip of her outstretched tongue. Not so bad! She quickly advanced the daikon into her mouth, too quickly. She instantly regretted that decision as she recoiled to avoid throwing up. Slow down. You have plenty of time…
She started over, this time listening to the book rather than her own overzealous brain.
Just… imagine it’s Tadakatsu!
She cringed, she couldn’t! He’s too big! That’s what started all this! But she tried anyways. Giving the tip of the produce a gentle kiss to start with before slowly descending it. With slow strokes increasing in length. Doing it this way, she found she actually rather enjoyed it. The feeling of something on her lips pleasant, the texture on her tongue appealing.
Mmm… Tadakatsu…
She stopped abruptly, embarrassed by how weirdly turned on she was getting by sucking on a piece of produce. She decided, after a few pensively moments of thought, that was a good thing. That meant she would enjoy doing it with Tadakatsu when she got the chance. With a smile she read the next part then tried to put it into practice.
A few weeks had gone by and she went for her weekly trip for practice materials. “Ahhh! Back again? How’s the recipe coming along?” The greengrocer asked moving to get her some of his smaller pieces.
“I think…” she started hesitantly before starting to smile, “it’s time for the good stuff.” His whole face lit up as he pulled out the best-looking daikon he had, displaying it with a certain pride. She could see it in his eyes, he wasn’t proud of the produce… He was proud of being able to able to help her with what he, ostensibly, thought was food to romance her potential lover. She just kept smiling, trying to hide her awkwardness at realizing that.
“Perfect!” She paid for it and left quickly before he could catch on.
A few more days had gone by when the castle came alive. Lord Ieyasu was back and that meant so was Tadakatsu! She got to her feet and rushed to the kitchens to help with everything that would surely need to be done. Especially, getting a big meal ready for Lord Ieyasu.
Despite the exhausting effort of getting everything put together, she got back to her room that night full of excitement and giddy energy. Though, she decided to keep it to herself. She figured Tadakatsu would be tired after traveling, he hadn’t been at dinner, after all. She started to get ready for a bath when she heard a familiar voice outside the door.
“Ohhh Milllaaaadddyyy…” He cooed and she took off running for the door. In one smooth motion, she slid the door open and launched herself into his arms. He was not prepared and they both tumbled into her room. He was laughing as he held her close, taking in the smell of her hair. “I’m happy to see you too!”
“I thought you might have just gone to rest after your journey, so I let you be.” She said as she snuggled into his warmth.
“Oh no… a hard situation need my immediate attention as soon as we returned. I knew you were busy, so I took care of it myself.” He replied, and she knew what he meant. Still, his stomach growled audibly. They both chuckled for a minute before he sat up again. “Say… are those jars of pickled vegetables?” He wondered reaching out and grabbing one.
“Y… yes…” She stuttered trying to hide her embarrassment. It’s supposed to be a surprise! She can’t tell him the truth. “I wanted to try something different… for you…” That wasn’t entirely a lie…
“You made all these for me?” He seemed genuinely amazed as he cracked the lid off the jar. He didn’t even bother with decorum, sticking his hand in and cramming a handful in his mouth. “Oh these are soo goooodd…” He practically moaned with his mouth still full.
His mouth was full… Her mouth had been full of the same produce that made those pickles at some point… Doing… that… so she could do it… for him… Watching him eat had set her mind down a very dirty road, one from which she could not turn back.
“Tadakatsu… don’t eat too many of those at once or something else might turn sour!” She whispered.  He looked at her slowly flashed her a cheesy grin.
“Don’t worry, I won’t get all sour like Lord Ieyasu!” He replied before shoving more in his mouth.
That’s not what I meant… She kept it to herself this time.
“I’ll go make you a proper a dinner. So… just wait for me here or in your room.” She got up quickly to leave through the still open door.
“Say…” He called to her and when she turned around he was licking his fingers.
AHHHHHH!!!! Don’t do this to me right now!
“Do you want to help me with that hard situation later? I don’t think it’s completely resolved yet.” Her eyes grew wide as her heart started pounding in her ears.
“Yes… There was something I wanted to show you anyways…” She managed to reply before taking off running. She need to be a caring, responsible lover and feed him first. There would be plenty of time for that later…

I know a few people who have been to Japan and all of them have told me that it will be unlike anywhere else that I have been. I believed them but I didn’t BELIEVE them believe them. But they were right. Japan has raised the travel bar more than any other trip. I have been home for almost a week now (!!) and I miss it terribly.
The route was Tokyo, Kyoto, Hiroshima, Osaka and back to Tokyo. We bought Japan Rail passes which I highly recommend to anyone planning on leaving Tokyo. Even if you are just going to Kyoto it will pay for itself. And it can be used on the train lines within Tokyo. Win Win! (Important note: The passes have to be bought BEFORE you get to Japan!) Okay let’s go!
Tokyo:
Tokyo is BIG. Like really big. Like Endless City Big. It’s the stuff of science fiction novels. This is the view from the top of the Tokyo Tower. Those building just keep on going. The night shots were also incredible. This is from the Mori Tower (and it includes the Tokyo Tower!)
We did the Shibuya Crossing (you’ve seen it in movies, trust me)
vimeo
Right across from where we shot this video was an amazing Mural called the Myth of Tomorrow by Taro Okamoto. It depicts the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
And we saw the statue of Hachiko, the most loyal doggo in the world
And of course there were the temples and the shrines and pagodas!
One of my favorite shrines was this little one for Basho, the great haiku poet, situated where they believe his house was when he set out on his journey north.
And of course the crown jewel, the thing I had dreamed about seeing since I was a kid hanging out in the basement of my house, looking through National Geographic: Fuji-san
Even though we were there during the rainy season we were blessed with a clear day. It was one of the most incredible things I have seen on this planet.
vimeo
You can catch the reflection of Fuji-san in the rice field. Amazing!
From Tokyo we headed to Kyoto
The Bamboo Grove is the only place on the whole trip where it rained and it only lasted a few minutes and honestly it made everything look even more beautiful.
These are women who rented kimonos but I did for a brief second spot an actual Geisha in Kyoto and she was so beautiful she stole my breath. I didn’t take a picture (cause I’m not a jerk) but she was wearing the traditional dress and make up like this
Kyoto was just utterly beautiful
From Kyoto we went to Hiroshima
This was LITERALLY the view from the hotel. I will miss those mountains till I die.
The Hiroshima Memorial Park was a beautiful, heartbreaking space dedicated to the possibility of peace. Sadly, in this day and age, it seems farther away than ever. This is the A-Bomb Dome (Formerly the Prefectural Industrial Promotion Hall). It was very close to the Hypocenter (where the bomb was detonated) and everyone inside was killed instantly. The building stands today as it did after the bomb dropped.
Also in the peace park is this monument built for Sadako Sasaki, one of the bomb victims who survived the initial bombing but was caught in the black rain and developed radiation poisoning. She started a campaign to fold 1,000 origami cranes as a symbol of peace and a tribute to the innocent victims of nuclear war. Those cases behind the sculpture are filled with hundreds and hundreds of cranes. People still send them in to this day to be added.
On a very nondescript street not far from the A-bomb dome is plaque on the wall marking the Hypocenter – the actual site of the bombing. We also toured the Peace Memorial Museum which was incredibly difficult to walk through reading story after story about people who lost their children or their parents, about the chaos and pain of that day, and the years that followed of slow torturous death. Towards the end there is a ruined melted baby’s tricycle which gutted me.
This was up towards the Hiroshima castle, a beautiful shrine that we were lucky enough to catch right at sunset.
Near to Hiroshima is the island of Miyajima. It’s about an hour on the train down the coast and then a ten minute boat ride but to be honest you might as well have traveled to a magical land.
Miyjima is famous for the Itsukushima Floating Torii Gate
vimeo
Okay I took a lot of pictures of this Tori.
In addition there is the Itsukishima Shrine built in 593
It is right in the bay so when the high tide comes in, the shrine itself also seems to be floating.
And of course the most famous residents of Miyajima: the deer!
They are 100% native to the island and roam around the way squirrels do at home. Though I did learn it’s best to keep moving if you have some food with you. They are not shy about their love of fried chicken.
From Hiroshima we went to Osaka for ONE SINGLE DAY which was mostly spent at the Dontonbori, which is like the Times Square of Food!
This is Taro. He’s a super weird clown who plays the drum. A small version of him will be hanging on my Christmas tree this year! (Take that Eggbert!)
Then we headed Osaka back to Tokyo. With one day left we took a train trip down to Kamakura to see the Great Buddha!
There were these adorable little school groups of children at the Big Buddha practicing their English and they interviewed me about what I liked the best in Japan and then we took pictures together and it was so cute I died and came back to life.
And of course, the Pacific Ocean. In 2010 I went to Venice Beach in California and touched the Pacific Ocean for the first time. In 2019, I touched the other side!
And of course, along the way we ATE…and ate….and ate…..
That’s Butadon and it’s pork belly and heavenly and I miss it so much I could cry
GYOZAS! Dumplings rule
Okay this I didn’t eat cause that’s a whole octupus (with a quail egg in it’s head) and me and the creatures of the sea leave each other alone.
SOY DONUTS WITH CARAMEL SAUCE! *drools*
Japanese fried chicken (Karaage) is a thing and it’s delicious
This is okonomiyaki (sometimes called Japanese pizza but it’s made with cabbage and fried noodles) and this was one of my favorite foods!
And of course all the RAMEN. This one was in Osaka at the Dontonburi and it had a whole pork rib in it!
And all the soft cream! This one was Matcha flavored but I also had Ramune (which is a soda flavor), green tea and grape and Jay had sweet potato!
Jay also had Kobe beef. Here’s his reaction in 4 acts!
First bite:
What’s this?
Oh it’s good!
Oh it’s sooooooooooooooooooooo good!
Now that I’m back the question everyone is asking me is: What was your favorite part of Japan?
Seems hard to choose right? I mean, between the all the cities and temples and mountains and sea, how could I choose my favorite part.
But I can. Easily.
We took the train down to Miyajima and we sailed out to the island and took tons of pictures and toured the temples and scritched the little deer on their little deer noses and climbed all the way up to the pagodas and ate delicious Karaage, we settled in at a little cafe called Cafe Lente
They have a little deck you can see there with a lovely view and we ordered some beers and rested our weary feet. Conversation lapsed as we watch the deer roam around and the waves lapping at O-Torri. I was thinking about how long I had been wanting to see this particular tori and how hard we worked to get here and I turned to Jay and I said, “I can’t believe we’re really here.” And he smiled at me and said “Considering where we were five years ago…”
And my breath caught and I realized I had forgotten.
I forgot that it was June 10th. I forgot that it was the five year anniversary of my cancer diagnosis. I had spent the whole day on this island and I just completely FORGOT the worst day of my life.
Japan let me forget, if just for a little while. Japan stopped me from counting time from the break in my life, from what I call The Cleaving. Japan let me relax and instead of thinking about what is going to happen next Japan insisted that instead I just lived.
Japan gave me that and I will always be thankful.
“How happy is the blameless vestal’s lot
The world forgetting by the world forgot
Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind
Each pray’r accepted, and each wish resign’d.”

Peace, love, and starbursts,
Ally
