Will looks away from his Walkman, back to Mike. It’s almost startling, finding him already looking back. “I – tell you things,” he replies, a little awkwardly. He barely gets through the sentence before Mike is already shaking his head.
"No,” he frowns, “you – you used to tell me things. Like, stuff you wouldn’t tell everyone else.” He seems conflicted, and he looks away. “Stuff just between us.”

last rb now I'm thinking back to all the fire emblem games I played where the story was frankly pretty rubbish and the characters were almost always one-dimensional but I raelly liked the battle strategy gameplay and genuinely sometimes thought .. this game would be better if there was no story or less of it, and we could just get to the gameplay faster
#why do they even bother with the story anymore. we know there's gonna be a big bad human who actually turns into a big bad monster at#the end. and you fight them in their monster form. and then tyranny is defeated forever#I love fe okay I really do. and maybe the newest game innovated on the formula and actually made its characters. characters. and#its story. an actual story. I walked three miles round trip during the hottest part of the day to vote in my state’s Democratic Primary. I didn’t have to walk, but it’s good to get the exercise and a nice reminder of how tenuous our democracy is in the US of A. Worth walking three miles for and then some. And there many in the world who wish it was so easy for them to vote. 🗳️
