Since the game sent us to the past and the brothers do not know us, imagine how difficult it is for them in the form of fallen angels. So we in the form of a demon know that the brothers love, including for nesting. Asmo does not know what kind of cream he should use Alpha right there, no one can calm Satan down, we immediately know what to do with him. Levi is unsure we know how to cheer him up and what to say. We help Belphegor to arrange a sleeping place and are always ready to pat his head. We take Beelzebub to his favorite restaurants and buy his favorite food. So the brothers are shocked that an unfamiliar demon knows better than they do what suits them and likes it.

I'm going to run with the nesting thing first.

Because I'm certain that the Devildom doesn't have the same nesting supplies that you can get in the Celestial Realm.

So, all the boys know what kind of nesting materials they prefer, but now they can't find those materials. It's incredibly distressing, especially for those who rely on nesting more often (Levi, Asmo, Mammon, Belphie.)

Imagine them going through different materials, looking for that one feeling they need for their nest, crying or getting angry attempting to build their nests without it.

Because it's not comforting and safe without the materials that they need.

And then you give them a blanket as a gift.

At first they're a little embarrassed, because nesting materials are very intimate courting gifts in the celestial realm, but when they touch the fabric, oh, it's perfect.

They tear up and have to keep it together. The urge to run back to their room and immediately build is a nest is overwhelming.

They choke out a thank you and then pretty much run to go and build a nest that finally, finally, makes them feel safe and relaxed.

AND

Imagine the brothers' horns giving them trouble. They itch after a while because they don't know proper horn care, and they're desperate enough to accept help when MC offers to show them how to do it.

So MC grabs something rough, like sandpaper, sits on the couch, and encourages the brother in question to sit on the floor between their legs.

But little do the demons know, the base of their horns in incredibly sensitive.

MC knows, of course they know.

The second MC starts, they go completely lax, hands pressed over their mouths, eyes closed, because oh that feels amazing.

They start purring, and they haven't had many reasons to purr recently, so it feels extra good.

And Mc just smiles knowingly, expertly grooming their horns in the way they know is just right.

Hot take for all the people accusing m!MC-wanters of misogyny and saying shit like "let women have this one thing" or "people lack the empathy to play as a female/woman" but Choices is a VN game that heavily utilizes romance themes especially in its more recent books and... IDK, maybe just maaayyyybeee we should be including men in genres such as harlequin romance that are heavily stereotyped as being "for women"? Especially when a lot of these MCs are written into stereotypically feminine or feminine-associated roles that, more often than not, don't truly require MC to be a woman? IDK, just a thought...

Why does a conscripted MC can't become Commander legate? My conscripted MC was kind of a lone wolf at the beginning so that's why they refuse to join the Shepherds immediately (plus I really love how you wrote the scene where MC shakes hands with Blade across the bars of their cell ; this moment feels really ironic but also quite solemn and fated to be). Then my MC slowly found their place, got attached to the Shepherds, and became loyal to them. In my playthrough they became captain, have a good relationship with Blade, and told the truth about their dreams/visions to the others immediately. Does Blade not think a conscripted MC trustworthy enough, even after everything they've done for the Shepherds?

Well, I think it's both a matter of making choices have meaningful consequences throughout the game (on a meta level), and on a story/relationship level, the scene that you pointed out (Blade having to come rescue MC from prison and knowing they only agreed to join on pain of literal death) is something that people aren't going to take lightly or forget: it's not that Blade doesn't find MC trustworthy, it's just that he's always going to know at the back of his mind that they did not want to join the Shepherds at all, to the point of having to be conscripted into it, and with everything that's gone on with them and the Words of Power, etc., he's not inclined to burden them further with a request to take command when he already feels bad for the amount of responsibility they've already taken on. I guess it would be like... if you knew somebody had only reluctantly joined your company as part of their involuntary community service due to a mandatory court sentence, and it was clear they wouldn't be there if they didn't have any other choice. It's extremely unlikely you would then offer for that person to become CEO of your company within the year, no matter how good their work performance had been or how much you like them as a person. Hope that makes sense!

It's... interesting how chill Alpha MC is with murder for someone who is supposed to be a regular college student. Of course, the player has a choice in who kills Markus in the finale, but one of the choices literally has MC murdering the guy in cold blood. There is no excuse about him being a monster or anything, he's just a regular human guy (albeit an awful one). It doesn't even happen accidentally in the heat of the battle. MC drives an arrow through his chest while Kala is holding him down and then they go on to have a party and I'm like uuuh are we not gonna address what just happened? Any reflection or repercussions? Like, there is a dead body in the room, are we gonna talk about this or—
