Jegulus as Orpheus and Eurydice!
i feel like crying.
He felt the strong winds from below pull him under. Blowing his curls aside and drying the wetness forming in his eyes.
Why had James turned back? They were so close.
They had been so close, that the sun was peaking through, its bright rays holding out for them, waiting for them to cross the border of life and death so they could be together again. But it was in vain because James stopped in front of the entrance and now Regulus feels himself being pulled under as James' loud laughter twists into cries.
They weren't supposed to end like this. They were supposed to be happy in this life. Regulus had imagined the life they would lead when they finally got out as he trailed behind. They would raise cats and dance in the meadows, James would play his music and Regulus would sing with him, they would live out their days happily married because how could Regulus forget that they had only been married for a few hours? The happiest hours of his life.
And now, as Regulus dies for the second time, he finds he can't utter a complaint against his husband because what was there to complain of? That he had been loved?

I’m reading No Crying in Baseball, about the making of A League of Their Own (film), and it keeps making me tear up lol. It was such a novel experience for so many of these actresses to get to work with so many other women all at once and not just be like the love interest or a set decoration. They got to be tough! And dirty! And ugly!! And there was a lot of hooking up behind the scenes! But the part that really got to me was that the studio was so worried about who was going to see it, because it’s a sports movie and those are For Men (🙄) but they didn’t think men would watch “girls playing baseball” (🙄🙄🙄🙄), and then someone involved in production screened it for his daughters who were 10 and 6 and they went absolutely bananas for it, so the studio realized that this was going to be huge with young girls. And none of them had stopped to consider what having this movie would mean to little (white) girls. They hadn’t even realized it would mean so much and be so enduringly popular!!!

as much as it pains me to think the upcoming season of Kuro will be some people's first experience with the series and they will simply not enjoy the older material as much, that is also my experience. Book of Circus was my first time interacting with Black Butler, when I was but a wee lad with hardly any understanding of what was happening. As a result, BoC will always be my favourite season. I just don't watch the other seasons or animated material as much (though I do hold season two and BoA very near and dear to my heart) and I've yet to watch the wonderland ova at all, but I know one thing for sure: if I'd had people on the internet yelling down my ear to watch the other things or read the manga just for the sake of they're really good trust me, it would have done nothing but push me away from Black Butler.
so here's your friendly reminder to be kind to all the new fans of Kuro that are gonna arrive next year! we all know the previous seasons are... an experience (looking at you season one you delightful non-canon catastrophe), but let them figure that out on their own.

lyra daemon if you'd like xx
I would be honored to give the beloved a Daemon and my soul wants to say Black Widow spider so bad and I simply cannot deny it........
Much like Lyra, Black Widow's are deceptively beautiful, they make intricate webs that entice people and have a deadly bite if said people get too close. Small Daemons are usually much harder to carry around and some have containers they keep them in but I could see Lyra having her Daemon in her hair or in a custom made piece of jewellery type deal.
Imagine she'd just be having a pleasant conversation and then her broach/necklace/bracelet just scurries elsewhere freaking the other person out..... the possibilities.....
Also I can't not bring up the fun fact of Black Widows occasionally commiting what Wikipedia gloriously called "sexual cannibalism", what they are infamous for. Something something Lyra luring horrible men in only to cease their time on earth swiftly after......
I Imagine her delightful Daemon would be just as cryptic as her and spiders have a running theme of being the mysterious deadly creature in pop culture sooooo. It would make her talking to herself a bit more interesting as she'd have her Daemon talking back at least... (I would love to listen into one of those conversations, it gives dark alice in wonderland vibes in my head.....)
It also does lend to people underestimating her I think, they see a small Daemon and see something easily crushed/controlled, little do they know both her and her Daemon are more than capable of taking care of themselves by any means necessary......
