Easy Lemon Cake

Homemade Old Bay Seasoning (via A Couple Cooks)

Ingredients:

One and  ½ ounces of vodka One ounce Chambord ½ ounce 100% unsweetened cranberry juice ½ ounce fresh lemon juice ½ ounce grenadine Granulated sugar and additional grenadine for the sugar rim is optional One small dry ice cube, optional

Instructions:

While preparing the glass, place granulated sugar on one plate in a single layer. On another plate, add some grenadine, the recipe said, then spin the rim of the glass in the grenadine until it coats the entire rim and dip the glass rim into the plate with the sugar to coat it.

Add the ingredients to a cocktail shaker, and then add ice and shake until cold. Strain the drink into the prepared glass and serve.

SAVORY OATMEAL. Was talking to my woman @jfells328 this morning about healthy breakfast options different from the ones we have been having over and over. So I started googling and found this “savory oatmeal” deal. Where the hell have I been!!! I used stuff I had, but can’t wait to try different variations. Base is “toasted” oatmeal with a smidge of butter (not gooey typical oatmeal, it’s more like rice), fried egg, garlic sautéed arugula, diced tomatoes tossed in balsamic vinegar to make ‘em pop, some pistachios, and topped with pink Himalayan salt and black garlic. Peach Mojito !

Ingredients:

6 mint leaves, plus additional for garnish

1 small or 1/2 large ripe peach

2 ounces* white rum

1 ounce lime juice

1 ounce simple syrup or maple syrup

4 ounces soda water

Instructions:

Cut the peach into slices. In a cocktail shaker, muddle the mint leaves. Add the peach slices and muddle again until all the juices are released. Add the rum, lime juice and simple syrup and fill the cocktail shaker with ice. Shake until cold.

Strain the drink into an ice-filled glass. Top off the glass with soda water. Garnish with additional mint leaves and sliced peaches.
