Wonderful Things That May or May Not Be Wonderful If I were to try to describe a movie like Everything Everywhere All At Once in just one word (which is completely reductive but I’m going to do it anyway and you can’t stop me), it would be absurd. I don’t think that’s unwarranted considering that this is a movie that involves infinite realities of infinite possibilities and whose main fight gimmick is doing very unorthodox things to access the skillsets of said infinite realities and that’s not even the half of it. However, there is another way this movie shows its absurdity: in how absurdly good it is. The characters, the performances, the cinematography, the editing, the action, it is all top tier. And despite dealing with…well, everything everywhere all at once, the film’s message is quite simple and certainly applicable to our everyday lives. Honestly, there is so much I could talk about this movie from the scene where ___________, to that incredibly unexpected reference to ______________ and the fact that _______________ but I’m not going to spoil anything for anyone who hasn’t seen it yet. I definitely think it’s worth a watch. Just remember to breathe and keep an open mind. Everything Everywhere All at Once is a lot of wonderful to take in at once.
