I feel like i need to wrote something about the flash ending. In 2014 i used to be OBSSESED with the arrowverse. And i started it with the flash tbh. I knew some about his character and liked Barry. I binged the 2 seasons of arrow halfway through flash s1 in order to get all the context possible. I kept up with all the shows as best as i could through the years, but especially arrow and flash. I watched all the crossovers live when they came out, which was always a struggle bc in latam they come out a couple days later due to subtitles or dubs. Would even google the streams. I was 15 when i started my journey with the arrowverse. As the last ep of the last show of the arrowverse ends, i am 24 now. That is basically a whole decade. And what a journey that flash is the one to close it. God people can talk their shit about quality of the show ending with time but one thing is true, for the arrowverse flash was the heart. Arrow was the one that started it, but that family unity feeling always came from flash. And oliver knew it. Oliver risked himself and what changed the trajectory of his show and story to save barry and kara. But mostly barry. The flash became such a show about love prevailing most of all through dark times. And that precisely had people upset af because it wasn’t as action/comic focused as arrow or how they wished it to be. But thats what i loved about flash so much. It almost ended on the year of barry’s initial disappearance too. Which is poetic i think. People can talk all their shit, but i loved the ending. Coming full circle. Even if the villains didn’t give the battle of their lifetime that wasn’t the point. The point was that both barry and the team had grown enough to not have the battle be forever. They learned how to deal with it quick. They learned what not to sacrifice. And most important of all, the show gave us the goodbyes as best as they could. And a happy ending deserving of it.

I can’t talk about the flash without talking about the big impacts it had on pop culture in general. Even if you dont like arrowverse or the flash know this, candace made HISTORY casted as Iris. And she opened the door for so many opportunities for blind color casting in iconic roles. You wouldn’t have Halle as the little mermaid without having Candace as Iris. You honestly wouldn’t. She started a conversation and opened hundreds of doors. And Grant? He is forever to Flash with RDJ is to Iron Man. In tons of pop culture references (and some comics) Barry Allen physically became like Grant. He gave it all for that role. And you can tell how much heart he put it in. Whatever you say about the writing, the actors had so much love for these characters and stories and you can just feel it and see it. Its a beautiful thing they created.

AAAAH i hope superman and lois is renewed bc they are def a whole other level of quality (emmy noms people!!). But they aren’t technically arrowverse even if they did cross with it in the past. A chapter ends with flash. Say what you want about cw, they did what the more expensive cinematic universe couldn’t. Or even shows like titan couldn’t. They gave so much HEART to these stories. The crossover episodes were such a fucking event. Had me more excited than any movie dc has ever released on the big screen. Truly introduced these heros to whole new generations.

The flash will always be a show about resilience and love and it will forever have such a big spot in my heart. 10 years. And not just any 10 years, but my entire adolescence and beginning years of adulthood. Man, even if im not as involved online with this show nowadays the way i was back in the day, the show holds such a special place for me. Will always be important pop culture wise. The new flash movie (with the ass of ezra miller) has NOTHING on how much love the show was made with. Aaah i dont have the words you can just tell the whole cast and crew hold so much love for these stories. Not just another paycheck. Especially Grant.

God im even tearing up writing this which is so ridiculous. Just hold so much love for the show. And to see arrowverse ending. Tons of shows and incredibly people involved in it. So many stories fully ending. Even when most had ended a while ago already, is official now. The chapter is over. Superman and Lois hopefully keeps on going but they are a diff thing. This week is the end of arrowverse as we knew it. A whole phase of hours and hours of content and years of love poured on it.

Arrowverse and especially flash, you will always have my heart and my teen self attached to you❤️

I actually think it’s so great when writers go deeper and dare go write the traumatic shit!!

Don’t get me wrong, I love me some fluffy af shit. Soft protective Joel has my entire heart! But idk.. I think his ptsd and traumas are also a part of who he is. I mean, we just found out that he tried to kill himself because the pain and the guilt was just too much for him.. I feel like leaving all of these parts out of the story wouldn’t feel right because all these parts make up who Joel even is. And especially at this point in the story too. We know what Ellie did for him but right now, he’s absolutely not there yet!

And also, that kinda trauma is never going away. I’m so glad to see it healed a bit in the game/show but a part of it is always going to be in Joel.

Idk I just think it shows your commitment and passion for the story and characters. Because you dared to go there, into the deep and ugly stuff. You’re ready to work with these characters to heal them and better them and eventually turn some of the ugly stuff into good stuff. You’re ready to write the character development and the relationships changing and developing into something healthy and good. (I hope lmao 😂)

Also, I loved the whiskey wink and was grinning so much at the cold ones on ice. I fucking love that line! I need Joel to call Gwen sugar at some point hahahaha 😂

IM SO EXCITED ABOUT JOELS POV TOO AAAH! No rush obviously but just know I’m very excited!!!!

I absolutely LOVE that you’re seeing this from my POV because the ugly stuff is so important and this was such a pivotal moment for him as well because had these feelings bottled up for 17 years man and it all just got unleashed because she asked one simple question. He’s been a ticking time bomb this entire time and I felt like it was just so important to show that. I remember how the show touched on it as well because trauma isn’t something that goes away, you’re correct but you can see Joel start to work through it and Ellie of course helps him heal but he does some of it on his own as well. Letting the guilt of Sarah’s death go and being able to openly talk about her and how amazing she was, was so beautiful to see.

Eventually, we’ll get there in this but he’s so raw right now and on the flip side, Gwen doesn’t even know what to think but I think you’ll be surprised to see how he acts going forward bc what I am currently writing right now, deserves some serious jail time for the feelings that I’m about to evoke in people 😀

I literally said the line about the cold ones out loud and I was like yeaaaah people are gonna eat this shit up 🥰 ahhh Sugar would definitely be a cute nickname holy shit I really like darlin and doll cause it screams Texas but now I think I will have to incorporate sugar in there as well!

Pros: nice vibes, good quality! Cons: a bit bland Overal: 8/10.

Pre-warning: *mode patriotic engaged* I'm never chauvinistic except for Eurovision.

OH MON DIEU. OUI. OUIIIIIIIIII !!!! J'ADORE.

Holy SHIT, PERFECT CELTIC RAVE, HELL YEAH.

I'm going to get extra patriotic, because my grandmother was from Bretagne and I still have some extended family living there, even though I've never been myself. But trust the Bretons to BRING IN THE FIRE. We should give them their independence I swear.

Oh, MAMA, I love this. I'm putting them as high as Italy because I have no chill.

Pros: everything - they're gorgeous, their voices are gorgeous, the music is gorgeous, the lyrics are gorgeous... Cons: nothing, this is a pure piece of art. Overall: 100/10.

Croatia : Mia Dimšić, Guilty Pleasure

Ngl, that's more my vibe than a basic ballad (looking at you, Ireland). It's a very nice guitar and voice with a gorgeous voice, added chorus and added instrumentals, and a frankly handsome and holy shit talented dancer (oh, and she's pretty too). Also I totally dig the black leather aesthetic.

Pros: voice, music, dance, aesthetic. Cons: eeeeh... The lyrics are a bit classic, I guess? Overall: 8/10.

Greece : Amanda Georgiadi Tenfjord, Die Together

I haven't heard a single note and already I love that name.

Oof. Too much reverb. Hurts my head. Also, come on, you can't have such a badass title and then do nothing with it! I'm disappointd, I was expecting something so much more goth and punk, I get cottagecore and another "we'll make it through" song. No offence to cottagecore, y'all are cute af, but if you're going to name your song "Die Together", I want the punkiest vibe ever.

Pros: it's cute I guess. Cons: too much reverb, not enough punk. Overall: 6/10.

Sweden : Cornelia Jakobs, Hold Me Closer

Lots of pressure on you, Sweden, as usual... Let's see if you hold up to your reputation.

Well, first thing first, she's gorgeous. Damn, her eyes are looking straight into my soul !

I love the fact that her voice is so powerful she doesn't even need more than a few beats to accompany it.

It's simple, it's elegant, it's powerful. It may not be my favourite number but it is undeniably excellent.

Pros: everything about Cornelia Jakobs. Cons: not much. Overall: 9/10.

VERY excited for France ! We might be able to do the same as last year, Italy 1, France 2, and I love that !

Next up: Portugal, Israel, Malta, Iceland and Cyprus.

this is such a beautiful poem! i can totally see how it applies to the fic or even annie in general, you did a good job at capturing the poem’s spirit.

NOW ABOUT THE NEW CHAPTER: this chapter was so sweet (but still deep) aaah so many feels!!! i think this is my second favourite chapter (after chapter 4). i loved the humour in it!! some lines are funny despite the seriousness of the moment like “whose poker face is out of the world.” because this is the most annie thing ever, though i know the context of the line is very serious, guilt is eating her here. just like the whole situation with the trap, it’s very light hearted then it gets so serious, annie really takes it to heart, you can see she wanted to accomplish something good and be in control again. this garden so important for her but it’s nice she has a goal to work on. this line : “You had once laughed about it, but now you wonder if it was a stress response all along.” pretty much sums up the atmosphere here.

AKWJENFJRN THANK YOU THANK YOU I ALWAYS GET SO EXCITED WHEN I GET AN ASK FROM YOU AFTER A NEW CHAPTER! this is one of my favorite chapters too!! i tried to add some humor since the reality is actually really upsetting, they're struggling real bad right now. Annie is drowning in guilt and the only thing reader wants is to to minimize it for her. even if it she fails at it.

exactly 🥺 to everyone else the garden is just plants and they'll grow again - but it's one of the things she put the most effort into on the farm, so seeing it 'vandalized' represents more than just the lost veggies. to her, it's about a threat to the life that she's worked so hard to make for herself. she's never had a home like this and she's terrified that if she can't keep up with it, then she'll lose everything. even if it's just a rabbit in the garden. you're absolutely right.

“Shut up,” she fires back, and halfway hides her face behind her hands.” was so funny when she was being romantic not even 30 seconds before lmao. and then “Annie’s face lights up. She throws her arms in the air and shouts: “Vindicatiooooon!” in triumph” was hands down the funniest part of the fic, annie seems that type of person that are funny without trying/wanting to and this moment is exactly it lmao. the scene with papa when they come out of the barn is i think the second funniest part adkhfjdh talking about him, the relationship with papa is so well developed! and i love how you portray his character. “Is it the same reason you’ve been putting on so much makeup lately?” was so expected from him, it’s not surprising that he’s a very observant person, he is the one who raised annie after all.

one thing i love about writing Annie is that no matter how serious a scene is, she'll nearly always reaches a point where it's suddenly Too Much and she gets so embarrassed/starts to shut down. it's so quintessentially 💕 her 💕 yknow?? hehe

LMAOOO i ain't gonna lie, Papa is my favorite character to write. in canon he's........... a real piece of shit. but he clearly loves Annie so i can fix him. he has the potential to grow so much and to be such a positive influence for her if he actually made the effort to step up.

“...offers you the seat next to him. Each time, you..” this part hurts though, he’s really trying to understand what is going on and is trying to help but i understand reader, it isn’t easy for her either and even if it’s not really comparable to what annie had to endure, she went through some stuff too, she has her own things to process. ““Whatever you’re doing,” Papa says, more quietly and to you this time, “it’s working. Keep it up.”” was so cute!! he cares so much about his daughter, i love the relationship he has with reader and annie as a couple.

it hurts me too 😰 yes reader definitely has her own trauma! and she is NOT dealing with it and just pushing it down. and she won't let Annie see how she feels, so Papa is her only real option. chapter 7 will be his big chapter and i am SO excited to write it akfshkswj

he notices everything that happens. he may not bring every little thing up in conversation, but at this point Papa knows their relationship well enough that he can tell when their dynamic is off. she's the best at watching and waiting because her dad is, too.

and once again the little details!! like : “across her face by sweat.” it’s a simple line and probably overlooked by people but you always add details like these which make the story realistic instead of trying to write perfect looking characters with no flaws. it really makes the characters more human you know?

oh yeah her hair!! i often try to plan for some kind of super hot look from Annie that's also just a casual house/yard work outfit. her being disheveled with dirt on her hands and sweat all over her face really truly does something to me... there are no limits!!

“I was, uh, the best, you know?” she says, “At the waiting, and the watching… It was easier to tune everything else out when I was focusing on something else. (....) Not every night, but tonight. Right now.” “She bursts into tears as well, sobbing as she leans her head back against yours. You sit up on your knees and wrap your arms around her. You hold her for as long as she cries, which ends up being quite some time.” i had to write these two extracts again because they’re so important, annie is finally opening up a little. i’m so proud!! it was such a big step for her!! “Annie sniffles again. “I don’t deserve you. I never have, and I never will. I love you so much ”” please annie know your worth!!! you deserve all of this!!!

it's a very emotionally vulnerable moment, which for Annie is a lot scarier than all the horrible murderous shit she's used to. she's trying, even if trying is what's fking her up the most. she wants to once she sees how her past is affecting her girl.

“The other Warriors didn’t ever talk about it, either. I don’t know how to even put it into words sometimes.” these kids really needed group therapy growing up. but reading this made me wonder, did you ever think about annie inviting other people (from marley or even paradis)? or any characters? do you think annie would keep contact with the remaining warriors, at least in letters? it probably hurts her too much and brings back too many bad memories though. and sorry for all the questions at once omg lastly : rosemary is a very brave cat and i love her. have a nice day!! they did and they do need therapy 😞 lolol i feel every time you ask me questions about the plot and if i'm gonna make xyz happen, it's always something that i already had planned addressing in the next chapter. the only reason that other characters have shown up is because they aren't relevant yet.

yeah they keep in contact! Annie may be living away from all of them, but its really not THAT far away. they live far enough that it's a pain in the ass to get out there, but close enough that they can go visit the town, spend most of the day there, and come back before it gets dark.

next chapter will talk a lot more about the remaining Alliance members, and the comeuppance of a trip to try and negotiate with Paradis (so the '3 years later' final scene). so they all show up for that, and Reiner and Pieck are both going to pretty significant later on. you're right that being around them brings back bad memories.

i love all the cats but rosemary is secretly my favorite!

my knee is better! thank you not, it's not great but better. i got an injection that helped a LOT but it was an awful experience, it was so awful.

4: Who felt romantic feelings first?

I think they both had feelings for each other at the same time but their interpretations were different. Just like in canon where Kai wants to 'beat Tyson' and Tyson wants to just like fight him I guess idk lol. It's a psychological thing that often boys express their *gay* feelings through aggression if they havent been raised to understand what they're feeling. In the end Tyson realises what he's feeling first, Kai does as well but he keeps the secret better.

5: Did either of them try to resist their feelings?

Absolutely, especially Kai. Kai would be too scared to start a relationship with Tyson given his position and family lineage (only scared for Tyson of course). Kai is also terrified of rejection much more than Tyson.

7: What would their lives be like if they had never met?

I can't believe you're making me cry so early in the day. Depends on if you believe in soulmates or not. I think without each other Tyson would date and marry another man and Kai would get stuck in an arranged marriage with a princess or something. I think Tyson could be happy, but Kai wouldn't. I mean his whole speech in G-rev was about how Tyson was his reason to go on like-

Passionate AF. Once they give into their feelings there's no holding back. Unless it was an accident like in a drinking game or something which would be equally cute.

8: Who gets jealous easier?

They both get easily jealous but Kai gets the most jealous. My headcannon is that Tyson is full gay (lmao) and Kai is bisexual. So Tyson wasn't so much jealous at first as worried that he wasn't everything Kai wanted, but they get over that hurdle easily.

9: Who whispers inappropriate things in the other's ear?

BOTH. LOVE IT.

BOTH. Tyson is generally more cute but once he gets Kai going anything can happen 👀

They're switches for sure. Kai tries to be more dominant but Tyson knows he loves it.

Probably Tyson. Kai's usually up when he needs to be but Tyson needs his beauty sleep for sure LOL.

TYSON. Kai's a bit of a rich kid and I imagine the last thing on his mind is making a decent meal LOL. Tyson generally cooks for them and teaches Kai how to cook and it's super cute.
