†Yukon horse (Equus lambei)
Art credit: Rinaldino
Thousands of years ago, a variety of wild horse species lived across the northern hemisphere. Fossils of E. lambei are found, as the name suggests, in the Canadian Yukon Territory, just east of Alaska. At the time this wild horse lived, the Yukon was part of a large landmass known as the Bering land bridge, which connected Asia and North America. This land was exposed when much of the ocean was locked into giant ice sheets during the ice age, and today the higher sea levels have separated the two continents. The Yukon horse lived in a cold steppe environment alongside bison, mammoths, and reindeer. This and other North American horse species went extinct about 10,000 years ago, and the Americas completely lacked horses until the introduction of the domestic horse several hundred years ago.

World Animal Road Accident Awareness Day
World Animal Road Accident Awareness Day is on October 10. It’s a fantastic opportunity to help raise awareness of the problem of animals getting hurt on the road and sometimes abandoned without assistance or much care. It’s a day to urge people to consider what they would do if they hit an animal while driving. It is hoped that through education and action, fewer animals will suffer, and more animal owners will be spared the anguish that traffic accidents entail. Driving with extra care and attention will save many lives, but accidents will happen — even to the most animal-loving drivers.
History of World Animal Road Accident Awareness Day
No animal deserves to be dumped on the side of the road after a car accident. Every day, 630 cats are killed in car accidents. Only 25% of these incidents will be deadly, leaving 75% with a possibility of survival, but only if the animal receives assistance. Many people attempt to educate the public on what to do if they hit an animal on the road. Fortunately, the Cats Matter Organization has made raising awareness of the issue easier. Cats Matter is committed to this worthwhile cause and is the driving force behind Animal Road Accident Awareness Day. Annual road fatalities are expected to kill 100,000 foxes, 50,000 badgers, 50,000 deer, 30 million birds, and hedgehogs, which formerly headed the fatality list with 29% of them killed by automobiles and are now critically endangered.
Authorities estimate the accurate death rate to be about 70 million animals based on a statistical study of those that may have gone undetected. Highways England claims that 2,143 dead animals were discovered on about 4,300 miles of roadway — less than 1% of the U.K.’s entire road network.
The Road Traffic Act 1988 in the United Kingdom specifies that drivers must notify the police if they strike any of the following animals: dogs, horses, cattle/cows, pigs, goats, sheep, donkeys, or mules. Although there is currently no requirement to record all animal deaths on roadways, police suggest drivers contact the owner of domestic animals, such as cats, to alert them of the situation. Whatever the regulations, the most important thing is that the animal is provided with the best opportunity possible if it survives the initial impact.
Today highlights the fact that many animals are disregarded for no other reason than a motorist did not value their life enough to give them a second consideration.
World Animal Road Accident Awareness Day timeline
Early 20th Century
The Beginning
Roadkill, almost non-existent before the introduction of mechanical transportation, is related to growing automotive speeds.
2007
Insects are also in significant danger
According to research, insects are also in significant danger of becoming roadkill; insect roadkill is related to vehicle density.
2009
Roadkill Observation Systems
In the United States, statewide roadkill monitoring systems are put in place, with hundreds of observers reporting roadkill on a website.
2020
First World Animal Road Accident Awareness
Cats Matter launches World Animal Road Accident Awareness Day, which takes place on October 10th for the first time.
World Animal Road Accident Awareness Day FAQs
Which animal is responsible for the most traffic accidents?
Deer are responsible for around 260,000 collisions each year. More than 150 people are killed in these crashes.

Drive safely! Driving safely and improving your driving skills is an excellent way to commemorate the day. Learn about traffic safety precautions and other suggestions.
5 Facts About Animal Car Accidents
The majority occur in the fall:This is a mating and hunting season, and deer are most active at this time, thus they tend to wander outside their typical range.
Sunset and midnight are the peak hours: Keep in mind that animals also wander on the road before and after the sun rises, making all these high-risk times for animal-vehicle collisions.
Big animals rarely cross the road alone: If you encounter a deer while driving, expect to see numerous others nearby.
It’s become a big problem for Canada: Every hour, four to eight big animal-vehicle collisions occur in Canada.
One to two million collisions happen: Every year in the U.S., an estimated one million to two million collisions between motor vehicles and big animals such as deer occur, resulting in 200 human deaths, 26,000 injuries, and at least $8 billion in property damage and other expenditure.
Why World Animal Road Accident Awareness Day is Important
It raises awareness for a significant cause: One of the main reasons we observe Animal Road Accident Awareness is to emphasize the hazards of driving while distracted. With almost 1,000 animal deaths caused by traffic accidents each year, increased awareness urges individuals to take extra measures.
It emphasizes the importance of preventive interventions: This day educates individuals on how to handle a traffic accident if they strike an animal while driving. There are preventative methods to help reduce the danger of animals getting wounded, as well as guidance on what to do if an animal gets away, roadside first aid, and much more.
It saves lives: Not only are our lives important, but so are the lives of animals. It can assist to change the destiny of animals that have not yet landed in this situation.

From mossthebogwitch I had no idea what i was doing but I did my best.
Since it was now a dare i am submitting myself for a matchup: presently I am mortified.but too curious to back down now. I have sealed my own fate per usual. I appreciate you taking me on this journey and hope you enjoy the experience! I don't know what gender I prefer in partner: I have a huge weakness for Kíli - I have no hard fast rules- just have fun it's a Tumblr matchup yknow?🤣
I would prefer Hobbit based matches since that is my current hyperfixation.
I radiate golden retriever energy: loyal, never gonna give you upn never gonna let you down, never gonna turn around and desert you. I'm the unofficial security guard according to my boss. I have a level head under pressure and I don't back down.  I have a constant stream of humor. The comedy doesn't end. I enjoy being an artist and writer in many media's. I study folklore and weird nature things. Im the weird facts kid grown up to the ' adult who knows how to do a bunch of different things'.
I have trouble socializing due to anxiety and OCD. Because of this I'm naturally more of a watcher until I feel comfortable.  I'm either casually friendly or hiding behind other people talking.  I'm a mom friend and the one people go to for help. I work in counseling its natures pipeline.
If I'm not working, reading, tending my pets, wild foraging for supplies or exploring hiking trails, I can be found cobbling together my house and garden from whatever I get my grabby hands on.
I have a community garden and regularly supply winter camping gear, food, first aid, and hygienic supplies. I do feral cat housing too so I just do a lot of weird stuff. Last week I saved a squirrel?? Befriending crows is starting this week lol. Never dull.
I plan on painting my entire house in fantasy based murals and hiding meme paintings behind appliances..Spock is behind my stove.
One funny thing i do that my coworkers thinks is hilarious is I have an entire measurement system for measuring animals using only potatoes as a counting system. Yknow how you count horses with hands?I count animals using potatoes and i am right every time the key is when to switch your counter between Russetts and Yukon golds. It's a good day when a growing animal graduates from being counted from russetts to Yukon golds.
I'm 5'0  and don't mind because I grew up LOTR with Gimli!! He's short and I'm short too!! I am told I have mood ring eyes that change shades of blue with my emotions and I'm red green color blind so that's fun.
Voted most likely to have a mug of coffee or tea in hand at work while I give one of my coworkers a gentle peptalk which turns into me pulling out the Gimli scale and asking them where they are on there today.
Yes, this is great @mossthebogwitch ! More detail always helps on my end 🥰 also you sound like such a fun person I wanna be friends 😆😆😆 the potato counting & secret memes are legendary OMG! I definitely saw you with a dwarf right away, but after some thought, I decided on...
Tumblr media
Bofur!
You meet under curious circumstances, you having settled at the foot of the great mountain after the war. Thinking you are alone, you had made your way to the woods, idly walking until a chattering squirrel spiraling up a tree distracts you. Given your love of animals, you strike up a conversation, getting quite lost in it all when a jovial voice rings out behind you, asking if you’re getting along, then. Turning, you see a dwarf with a large floppy hat and twin braids standing a ways behind you, apologizing for startling you- you must've jumped more than you realized. In the end, he introduces himself as Bofur and offers you a piece of one of his brother's biscuits from his pockets to give to the squirrel. Finding out that he works as a toymaker, you promise to visit his shop, and when you take in all the wonders he creates with his cousin, well, you can hardly stay away! Bofur ends up enlisting you to paint murals upon the walls of his and Bifur’s shop, which the young ones of Erebor and New Dale alike delight greatly in. Bifur is very impressed by your art and building skills, elbowing Bofur at every chance he gets and waggling his eyebrows over the amazing lass that’s seemingly just fallen into his life.
The first time Bofur actually initiates some time alone with you, he asks you to join him for a night in town, and that’s when he learns you work with livestock. You best believe he laughs his mustache off at your counting technique and also vows to steal it. You can see in his manner, though, and what you know of him that he would be great with the animals too. He can see that you prefer him not to ask so many personal questions and to lead the conversation which he is more than happy to do! He tells you all about his family, the quest he went on, his funny nice hobbit friend Bilbo, where to get the best ale in town if you’re into that sort of thing, a cool rock his brother found in the mines the other day, you name it! Everything is lighter when you two are together. Ever the gentleman, he waits to share your first kiss until he is completely sure you’re ready.
Bofur loves your height; you are a few inches taller than him, not much but just so that he can rest his forehead against yours and put his head on your shoulder. Either one of you can cuddle against the other’s chest as desired. Knowing how much of your time goes to helping others, though, brings the dwarf to lean heavily towards caring for you whether that means he is the one holding you or singing for you or simply by giving you lots of time to get comfortable and express your needs, even if it’s hard. Even in your most tender moments, though, both of you are cracking jokes. Always laughter between you two! Anything big gets called a Yukon Gold with you two because he just loves that saying so much.
If you are comfortable with it, Bofur loves to take you dancing just to show you off! He also adores the way you’ll stand up for him if anyone is mean or pushy- your loyalty is astounding and you truly have a dwarf-like spirit. He gets heart eyes when you become a de facto bouncer and actually throw a drunk or two out of the place. He also takes you camping, pitching a tent and bringing your supplies so you can stay wrapped outside with your animal friends and some weenies to roast beneath the stars.
Teases you to high heaven about being colorblind, though. Overdramatically reminds you what color you’re painting that toy, asks you if you’re sure that’s the right color for the leaves on your mural. Feel free to smack him lightly, he knows he deserves it and he’ll just laugh! If anxiety or OCD symptoms lead to you having a routine or a placement of things that being comfort (if so, big mood friend!), Bofur is definitely the best at remembering to have them out there and follow that for you, no questions asked. You’ll feel so cared for, that his house is a home. You are his warm hearth, his neverending laughter, the only person who could convince him to take home a wounded opossum and call it Bofur jr. but this is his life now and you know what? Bifur was right- he’d run into quite a catch in those woods, a lass far more beautiful than any old fern or flower.

A 30,000-Year-Old Baby Woolly Mammoth Found in Yukon's Klondike Gold Fields
A gold miner found a mummified baby woolly mammoth in the Trʼondëk Hwëchʼin Traditional Territory in Yukon, Canada.
According to a press release from the local government, the female baby mammoth has been named Nun cho ga by the First Nation Tr'ondëk Hwëch'in elders, which translates to "big baby animal" in the Hän language.
Nun cho ga is the most complete mummified mammoth discovered in North America.
Nun cho ga died and was frozen in permafrost during the ice age, over 30,000 years old, said the press release. She would have roamed the Yukon alongside wild horses, cave lions, and giant steppe bison.
The frozen mammoth was recovered by geologists after a young miner in the Klondike gold fields found the remains while digging up muck.
Dr. Grant Zazula, the Yukon government's paleontologist, said the miner had made the "most important discovery in paleontology in North America,"reported The Weather Channel.
The baby mammoth was probably with her mother when it but ventured off a little too far and got stuck in the mud, Zazula told The Weather Channel.
Professor Dan Shugar, from the University of Calgary, part of the team who excavated the woolly mammoth, said that this discovery was the "most exciting scientific thing I have ever been part of."
He described how immaculately the mammoth had been preserved, saying that it still had intact toenails, hide, hair, trunk, and even intestines, with its last meal of grass still present.
According to the press release, Yukon is renowned for its store of ice age fossils, but rarely are such immaculate and well-preserved finds discovered. Zazula wrote in the press release that "As an ice age paleontologist, it has been one of my lifelong dreams to come face to face with a real woolly mammoth.
"That dream came true today. Nun cho ga is beautiful and one of the most incredible mummified ice age animals ever discovered in the world."
The woolly mammoth, about the size of the African elephant, roamed the earth until about 4,000 years ago. Early humans, hunted them for food and used mammoth bones and tusks for art, tools, and dwellings. Scientists are divided as to whether hunting or climate change drove them into extniction.

I have a question that you should not take as criticism! But I was just wondering in As Long As You Follow why the Texas scientists wouldn't just send a car up to Jackson to grab Ellie instead of letting them take weeks / months? to get to them on foot? Because they have cars and patrol and everything?
I definitely don't take this as criticism, lol. But the answer to this question is a two-parter:
1.) As far as Amos and Alexei knew, Ellie & Co did have access to vehicles. It's mentioned in GYOW that the settlement has a couple of trucks, and they also retained the Yukon after Alexei and Amos left the settlement three years prior in one of Otto's vehicles. They had no way of knowing the Yukon was out of commission, or that the trucks weren't available (also touched upon in GYOW - they use them for plowing in the winter, and occasionally supply / hunting runs, but they aren't reliable for long-distance trips).
If Ellie had held her horses (pun intended) for one damn minute, everyone could have traveled down with Otto when he arrived with a vehicle a few weeks later (not that it would have gotten them any further than Amarillo, where the engine blew). Or they could have communicated with Galveston when it became apparent that they would have to go via horse, and then Galveston may have sent someone. Even so, it's a dangerous trip no matter what and, not wanting to put anyone else in danger, Ellie made the kneejerk decision to immediately run off with Shimmer - though there was no way Joel & Benny weren't going to immediately follow.
2.) It was necessary to the plot, this cross-country trip. 🤷
Also, if anyone is interested in the math: Ellie left Jackson in the late hours of March 20th, 2030, and Joel and Benny followed the morning of March 21st. Ellie reached Galveston with Tommy on May 7th, after one month and sixteen days of travel. Joel and Benny arrived in Galveston May 13th, one month and twenty-two days after leaving Jackson.
Tommy didn't leave Jackson until Otto arrived, around April 8th or 9th or so, catching up with everyone else in Amarillo around the 10th. He arrived with Ellie to Galveston on May 7th, so was only on the road for about a month.

Some canadian headcanon cause yukon headcanon will be posted tomorrow:
British Columbia, Washington and Oregon know eachother mainly because of the PNW climate (the El Niño or La Niña video)
They go hiking sometime, when BC isn't chilling in her corner.
BC and Alaska are ~friends~; he's kind of grateful for letting Alaskans coming back in the state driving through BC, even tho they couldn't stop at all during Covid.
Montana and the west twins (Alberta and Saskatchewan) go to rodeos and they love horses.
Yukon and Alaska are friends, and can be in eachother presences for hours without saying anything while they're fishing/hunting.
Northwest territories is the oldest of the siblings in the country and the mom friend. He cares for everyone, and nobody has anything against him.
Newfoundland is like a cousin to the other maritimes, being the oldest with Nova Scotia, but they never really interacted when they were colonies.
PEI, despite his age, looks the youngest (Yeah, he's a little bitter about it)
Nunavut is autistic and an introvert. Doesn't like people, hate cities, but try to help his communities as he can (trying to fight the lack of healthcare workers and teachers)
New Brunswick never shut up and can't take hint most of the time (it makes Maine a little crazy). Québec just smiles and listen to him, cause I am she's like that.
Manitoba is a loner, and a "don't fuck with me 'cause you'll find me" kind of attitude.
That's all for now
Send an ask if you have specific questions!!

National Wildlife Day
Visit a zoo or wildlife reserve, donate your time and money, spread awareness, and help save the numerous species of wildlife currently threatened or endangered.
Every year we lose numerous species to the growth and expansion of human holdings, but through the effort of zoos, sanctuaries, and preservation organizations that rate is being slowed. These groups do amazing work, educating and bringing awareness to people everywhere, all while preserving these precious treasures from Mother Nature. National Wildlife Day reminds us that there are creatures out there that cannot speak for themselves, so we have to stand up and be a voice for them. The animals will thank you for it, as will the generations to come who will still be able to enjoy them!
History of National Wildlife Day
In September of 2006, the world suffered a terrible loss. Steve Irwin, known colloquially as “The Crocodile Hunter”, died in an encounter with a sting ray that went horribly awry.
These normally docile and peaceful creatures pack a powerful punch in their tail, and instead of swimming away as Steve expected, it instead attacked him with its stinger. After hundreds of strikes, Steve believed he had sustained only a punctured lung, but the stinger had actually managed to pierce his heart causing him to bleed out. So passed an amazing man from the world.
What does this have to do with National Wildlife Day? Steve Irwin was an expert on animals, and spent much of his career working to bring attention to endangered species and aid conservation.
In his honor National Wildlife Day reminds us that the animals of the world are a precious resource, and of the many zoos, sanctuaries, conservatories, and organizations that work together every year to help preserve them for future generations.
If we don’t start taking care of them now, we’re going to lose them. Once an animal has gone extinct, they’re lost forever to future generations, it’s our responsibility not to let that happen.
How to celebrate National Wildlife Day
Thankfully there are plenty of options to help support endangered animals, and National Wildlife Day is a great opportunity to get out and do it! Almost every community has animal sanctuaries and zoos nearby, so take a trip with you, your family, and friends out to enjoy their exhibits.
While you’re there see what you can do to donate time and/or money, or even just spread the word about drives they’re doing. You can even contact them ahead of time and work to help them organize an event, you can even go to the local library to hand out flyers to spread awareness!

I went back to work today. And that is good. It is nice to have a routine again. Today was a little boring. But it was not all bad. I had a pretty good day.
I didn't sleep amazing. But I woke up and was fine enough. I found James on the couch just so tired but not able to get back to sleep. They would try again after I left. But for the moment they were just on the couch looking sad.
I got dressed and kissed their head to try and cheer them up. They had packed me a little lunch. And sent me off with a big hug.
I made it half way across the street when I realized I forgot my drink. So I went back up. Decided to also get orange juice too. Another loss and then I was off.
It was a really easy drive. No traffic. No sun in my eyes. I got to camp and it was very cold. I was glad I wore a fleece under my big jacket. It actually felt like winter today.
I drove up to the art building first to drop off some stuff. I found a box I could bring home for getting rid of the stuff we wanted to put on the stoop. Excellent. I will have to go take the trash out at the art building probably tomorrow. But I was to cold and wanted to go to the office and have my breakfast.
James packed me a bagel and it was very good. I was the first one there and I put the heat on and tried to make it cozier in there. Cause it was very chilly.
I had my bagel and answered some emails. And put some stuff away and just tried to settle back into being at work. I didn't really know what to do. So as a first step I looked at out to do list and I decided to rewrite the whole thing because we have knocked out so many things. And I gave us some room to add things. It was pretty productive, even if I couldn't cross things off.
Camp registration opened last night. I was prepared to hear the phones ring a lot today. But I was alone and I wouldn't be able to help anyone so at 858 when the phone started ringing I got out of there.
I grabbed the gator keys (after hemming and hawing about walking to the Alaskans) and drove to Yukon to go in the basement. I wanted to borrow some plastic boxes and I knew we had some down there. And a million lids that do not fit those boxes.
The drive up there is very quick but I didn't want to drive so fast because it was stupid cold and my ears and hands were so cold. Thankfully the basement was warm and I was able to warm up a little.
After I got my boxes I drove to top bar and saw a tree fell down. I took a picture so I could show the office to make sure they knew. I waved to the horses and yelled at them happy birthday. I know they aren't thoroughbreds but they deserve a happy birthday still.
When I got back to the office Heather was there. It was so nice to see her. And we talked for a bit about the break and what I had been doing out and about this morning. I told her I was waiting on the next steps for the house and that I didn't want to bother the people but I also want to know what's happening!
I spoke it into existence though because when I sat back at my laptop the appraisal was there! This was a stressful read. It was 25 pages and it was a lot. Going over the whole space. Comparing it to other houses in the area. But the house appraised over what we offered. Which means we should be good?? We need to speak to Harold and make sure we understand it correctly but I am shocked how close it appraised. Since it has been listed originally for so much more.
I was very excited that this came in so I didn't have to be so stressed. And when everyone else came in I was able to share the new news and that was nice.
We all talked about our Christmases and our favorite gifts. We all seemed to buy a gift for ourselves that we liked a lot. Alexi got a really cool drink caddy from her husband though that we all are very jealous of/think is hilarious.
More and more parents were calling and emailing about registering. Camp is about half full and it has barely been a day since registration opened. Crazy. A lot of the calls were about wait-list. Because the y had not set that up and many weeks were already completely full for different ages. I was tasked with answering some question emails. Me and Sarah were sent to go find Joe for some keys and then to go and take some pictures of cabins and bathrooms for a concerned parent.
When we found Joe we were being silly saying how dramatic people are about the rustic bathrooms and cabins. Somehow this got interpreted as the bathroom being a joke and then he thought there was a hole and then it turned out there was a hole in the door! So the miscommunication became but regular communication.
Sarah did the driving of the gator this time. And I remembered my gloves so it wasn't as bad. Still very cold. We had to sweep a little when we got to the cabins so they didn't look messy in the pictures. Everything needs some paint though. It wasn't like beautiful but they were fine.
We went to the pool to take pictures and I enjoyed seeing all the plants that are being stored in there. They are thriving! I'm very happy for them.
We went back to the office and it was lunch time. I texted with James about house stuff. They went for a bike ride and went and got themselves a sandwich and when they got home they sent me some paperwork to pass along. We are such a good team.
I didn't really know what to do myself after I had my lunch. I had one of my Dear America books with me about living on the prairie and it felt a little like research. Like I was learning how someone would live and go to school and what they would learn and so I could kind of justify it as work. Research. Because I had nothing to do and this was could be used as inspo towards programing.
Around 3 Alexi announced that we would have a staff meeting. I let her know I didn't mind staying later. She was convinced we would finish by 4. Absolutely I knew that would not happen. We would finish the meeting at 440.
It was mostly my fault though because I had so much followup and questions and things that I don't think normally happens in the Monday meetings (because I'm not there). But now I have some tasks for tomorrow and that feels good! But I was very much ready to go home. I was losing focus at times and was searching for build a bear clothes on eBay and looking at squishmallow dragons. I am not buying things but it was fun to search for things.
I said goodbye to everyone and went home. The drive home was good too. No traffic again! Amazing. And when I got home I struggled to bring the box inside but I got it in and was very very winded when I said hello to my James.
Just rested my forehead on their chest and wheezed and caught my breath while they told me I would be okay.
They had done all the laundry. And had made us salads for dinner. Still no oven. We are going on a week and a half now. Hopefully we can get someone on the phone tomorrow because it's been a while now. We are making due but I miss pasta.
We would hang out together on the couch and after we ate we read our books. I finished my Dear America and was pleasantly surprised that there wasnt as much tragedy and I didn't cry at all! It was a nice one. I picked another to start tomorrow. Which is actually a different series called "My name is America" which I think are all boys. This one is a boy one and another frontier story. Excellent.
I would spend some time on the couch watching TikToks. Then tried to collect some snails. And then did my knitting for the day. This style is so much quicker it's wild. I think it's looking really nice too. I really hope I did the math right. But thankfully if I need to frog the whole month I will be able to fix it easier and it won't be as much as a nightmare situation.
I took a bath. Used my new vanilla shea butter. And after I was dressed I played with my new hair tool. Which I'm getting better at. Still not perfect but I am trying! Making me feel pretty.
Now we are in bed. And I am ready to sleep. My throat is hurting a little so I'm going to sip some water and get ready for bed.
Tomorrow I hope to have lots to do. And I hope to stop by Manor Mill to see if my final pieces are done. We will see. I hope it's a good day.
Sleep well everyone. Take care of yourselves! Goodnight!

"Gold Hidden In Washing Machine," Saskatoon Star-Phoenix. October 8, 1943. Page 12. --- VANCOUVER, Oct. 8. - How $10,000 worth of gold stolen from the Yukon Consolidated Gold Corporation was shipped from the Klondike to nearby Mission, B.C., concealed in the gears of a washing machine was disclosed Thursday by Royal Canadian Mounted Police.
STUFFED IN GEARS Donald William Duncan, who shipped the machine to his wife at Mission, was convicted at Dawson, Y.T., of stealing the gold and sentenced to four years in penitentiary, police said. His wife knew nothing of the case, they said, and the machine was still in the crate in which it had been shipped south,
Police said further arrests are expected at Dawson and at White- horse, Y.T. Inspector James Fripp of the R.C.M.P. said information leading to the discovery of the cache of gold at Mission was given by Duncan following his arrest at Dawson.
Police found 300 ounces of gold in four sacks stuffed in the gears of the washing machine. Several pounds more gold were found in Duncan's baggage when he was arrested, police said.
Duncan, a former resident of Mission, had been employed by Yukon Consolidated for three years.

Horse back riding every week, few times a week with my friends. I took this a couple days ago and I was having a blast but I forgot I had a date that night so I had to race home and shower and change into something cute because I smelled like a horse.
The date went well and he was a great kisser and gave such a warm hug. However he works in the Yukon and has a rotation schedule for work. He almost didn’t want to leave for work because he was scared I’d be taken by the time he gets back home. Which was adorable!
I’m a busy person and I’ve been on one other date since I started school but he made me feel comfortable and we actually vibed.
He wants to take me out on a date when he gets back home and I told him yes. ️
