wait wait don't forget the Italian media with the "eterni rivali" article
Oh god you’re right.
I find it so painful that apparently f1 journalism in every other language is paying great homage to the Lestappen Soulmatism rivalry/love story but all we get in English f1 journalism is excessive Carlos Sainz dickriding.

In honor of @swampstew ‘s Buggy’s Spooktacular Event, here is what happen to Barto and the reader after the winner was decided:
“And the winner is…RUDOLPH THE RED NOSED REINDEER!”
When you saw the reindeer take off its mask to show Buggy you were in shock.
But then again- it was up to the party-goers to decide who one so for now- your surprised was then switched to a laugh. Knowing that he won fair and square.
The real dark horse…or deer of the competition.
As promised- you went to the changing tents to change to your back up. Sleek black shirt and joggers with skeleton bones on top and instead of using a mask, you decided to paint a quick skull in your face. Simple, tasteful and comfortable. You had gone to Bartolomeo’s tent to help him, taking off the makeup and costume he was wearing before the change. You painted his face, helped him with his hair and now you were just two skeletons in the party.
Tasteful.
You had gone together to take pictures, booths, take a LOT of pictures of the Strawhats and, as promised, snogged the green haired giant to your heart’s content.
His fangs were pressed against you and carefully made sure that you didn’t hurt yourself.
But you didn’t care.
You were now happily drunk, kissing your significant other as you heard the other monster mashers hoot and holler at you.
In all, it was a good Halloween despite the initial discord with the costumes two weeks ago.
The day after- you were a making coffee at the Ship’s kitchen. In your long sleeved shirt and shit pajama bottoms, with cute little teddy bear slippers.
Domestic bliss.
“G’morning, My honey.”
“Good morning, ‘Meo. We got a whole 365 days to think of next year’s costume.”
You only heard him laugh as he wrapped his arms around your shoulders and pressed a kiss against the hickey he left this morning before you left the bed.
“With you? I can’t wait.”

🧐 … just saw this!! — It’s the second time I see this topic!! — IsraHell has lost?
By: LaillaB, founder of ‘Reclaim the Narrative’, from LinkedIn …
✍🏻 “We’ve lost. Truth must be told.
The inability to admit it encapsulates everything you need to know about Israel’s individual and mass psychology.
It’s no fun to admit that we’ve lost, so we lie to ourselves. Some of us maliciously lie. Others innocently.
When the solace ends, the hole remains. There’s no way around it.
After half a year, we could have been in a totally different place, but we’re being held hostage by the worst leadership in the country’s history – and a decent contender for the title of worst leadership anywhere, ever.
Every military undertaking is supposed to have a diplomatic exit – the military action should lead to a better diplomatic reality.
Israel has no diplomatic exit.
It has a scoundrel for a leader, someone with no capacity for leadership or decision.
Yet the electorate put its faith in the current prime minister to the tune of 32 Knesset seats.
Every day and every minute, better decisions could have been made.
But that’s whom we elected – a suit with a person attached. We can’t say it, but we’ve lost.
People have an inclination to believe in the best and be optimistic, hoping that tomorrow will be okay, that we are in a process that in the end will be more successful.
That’s the most fundamental failure of human thought: the notion that the direction we are taking is a good one, that in just a little more time. After all, we’re the “good guys”, and good will triumph.
My conclusion from Oct 7 as a journalist is that what’s “uncomfortable” is the most dangerous thing for our security.
We need to tell the truth, even when if it lowers morale.
We need to stand up to the Bibi-ist propaganda machines even if attack dogs are sniffing. No cabinet minister will restore our sense of personal security.
Our international standing was dealt a beating. Our leadership’s weakness was revealed to the outside.
For years we managed to fool them into thinking we were a strong country, a wise people and a powerful army.
In truth, we’re a shtetl with an air force.
There’s a political camp the very survival of which pretty much depends on a “victory.”
That camp has long since lost all touch with truth and reality.
We’ve gotten to know its leader, that human Pinocchio.
Rafah is the newest bluff that the mouthpieces are plying to fool us and make us think that victory is just moments away.
There may be an incursion, perhaps a tiny one, sometime – say in May. After that, they’ll peddle the next lie, that all we have to do is ________ (fill in the blank), and victory will be on its way.
The reality is that the war’s aims will not be achieved.
Hamas will not be eradicated. The hostages will not be returned through military pressure.
Security will not be reestablished.
The more the mouthpieces shout that “we’re winning,” the clearer it is that we’re losing.
Lying is their craft.
We need to get used to that.” … 🧐
