Hello, I'm the anon who asked about reading recs! I did respond back right away, but since you just asked for asks, I get the feeling Tumblr ate my ass 😄. In case it did, here it is again:
I'm trying to get my footing into witchcraft in general. I'd really like to start practicing, especially anything nature related, but I truly know nothing more than what you'd get scrolling through the tumblr tag. So I'm supposed I'm looking for a good starting place to learn my history around the practice (I know "the practice" is an incredibly broad way to describe it. But I don't know enough to be specific. I suppose anything that could give me a foundation to build from?) and something(s) that could help me dip my toes in for the first time. I've been watching everyone else swim in the pool for years, but I've never even touched the waters.
To simply put it, I'm trying to figure out the very beginning steps of witchery. I know I described everything broad and vague, but I don't really know enough to be more specific 😅
(if Tumblr didn't eat my ask and you haven't responded to my ask for any other reasons, no worries! I'm certainly in no rush)
Omg hello! No tumblr didn't eat you but I was waiting on some responses from friends who I asked for reading recs and my draft box DID eat your ask lol. Thank you for following up with my ADHD-addled ass!! <3
The good news is to start you just kinda jump in. I'm not saying throw yourself into the deep in but you can get your feet wet pretty easily.
Unfortunately during my beginner years most of the published books available were heavily soaked in Wiccan ideology which is absolutely not my vibe and not something I think people should start out with since there's a twisted history to it that you have to unwind but I see why people are attracted to it--it's structured in a way that solitary practice isn't.
I found my start online, honestly, then followed my gut to see where it took me next. All that said;
Here are some recs from me and my buddies:
Magic in the Middle Ages by Richard Kieckhefer (History)
Cunning Folk and Familiar Spirits by Emma Wilby (History)
Popular Magic by Owen Davies (History)
Grimoires: A history of magic books by Owen Davies (History)
Curse Tablets and Binding Spells from the Ancient World by John G. Gager (History)
The Crooked Path by Kelden (Traditional Witchcraft)
13 pathways by Daniel Schulke (Occult Herbalism)
A Deed Without a Name by Lee Morgan (Witchcraft)
Of Witchcraft and Whimsy by Rose Orriculum (Witchcraft)
Grovedaughter Witchery by Bree NicGarran (Witchcraft)
Queering Your Craft by Cassandra Snow* (Witchcraft + queer)
Condensed Chaos by Phil Hine* (Chaos magic)
Outside the Charmed Circle by Misha Magdalene* (Witchcraft)
Sacred Gender by Ariana Serpentine (Witchcraft + queer)
Kitchen Table Magic by Melissa Cynova* (Witchcraft)
*Queering Your Craft and Kitchen Table Magic are that they both feel more basic, Condensed Chaos is more of a "102" type book for chaos magic specifically, and Outside the Charmed Circle is strongly Wiccan in influence but brings up some very interesting topics and ideas. (Note from Jasper)
Make sure to keep an open mind and take no one's word as law when it comes to witchcraft and magic. Take in the information and come up with your own conclusions based on your experiences! :>
Thanks to @windvexer , @stagkingswife, @jasper-pagan-witch, and @rose-colored-tarot for help with the recommendations!
Feel free to comment or reblog with your own suggestions!

I love how Paul got his butt kick. The reader and Garrett having kid, so cute. I can see them having a little girl dressed in a black panther pjs.
Can I get a another twilight fanic
Jasper x lioness shapeshifter This is after Edward and Bella are dating. They both do not like the reader
Edward can not read her mind.. where she imprints on him knowing he is vampire but turns out to be a teacher's aide. He knows she is a shapeshifter but does not know what animal yet. They pass notes back in secret. Eventually she tells him she has a little girl. She brings her when she gets invited to dinner at the cullen's. Dinner happens and they all hang outside. Edward being the whine ass he is , calls the reader some names. She tells Edward to stop and he continues it gets bad enough, the major comes out and tells him to back off. Edward then threatened the reader's little girl. The major goes to kick his butt, but the reader pulls him back and that's when she shifted into a lioness, tears Edward legs off ( they get put back on). She did shift back into a human. she changes back into regular clothes, Everyone has noticed she has vampire bite marks all over her body. She explains she's immune to vampire bites.
Feel free to add anything.
Not gonna lie definitely got confused in the first half but I understand the request so that’s all that matters lol,

Generations ago, (y/n)'s ancestors were bestowed with a unique and powerful gift — the ability to shift into the form of a magnificent lioness. This shapeshifting ability was a sacred inheritance, passed down through the family bloodline. For centuries, their clan had embraced their dual nature, embracing both the human world and the wild spirit of the lioness.
As the latest inheritor of this remarkable legacy, (y/n) found herself straddling two worlds. Her lioness form was a majestic embodiment of strength, grace, and primal instincts. It was a bond that connected her to the natural world in a profound way, allowing her to run through the forests with the wind in her mane and the earth beneath her paws.
But (y/n) wasn't alone in her journey. She had a three-year-old daughter, a little cub who might carry the same shapeshifting gift within her as she grew older. The potential for her daughter to also become a lioness shapeshifter once she reached puberty was both a source of pride and a cause for concern. The thought of her child embracing this ancient legacy brought a mixture of excitement and trepidation.
Tragedy had also shaped (y/n)'s path. Her daughter's father, the man who had shared a part of his life with her, had fallen victim to hunters. The loss was a painful reminder of the challenges faced by their kind. The existence of lioness shapeshifters was often kept hidden from the human world, a secret that was essential for their survival.
In search of a fresh start, (y/n) decided to move to the quiet town of Forks to finish her senior year of high school. The lush forests and serene surroundings provided the perfect backdrop for her to navigate both her human and lioness identities. She hoped to shield her daughter from the dangers that had claimed her father's life, all while preparing her for the day she might come into her own shapeshifting abilities.
In the serene town of Forks, (y/n) had settled in with her daughter, creating a new life for themselves. Every morning, for the past week she would drop her precious child off at daycare before heading to school. As she walked through the school campus, she noticed a group of students she hadn't encountered before, the Cullens. Among them, Edward seemed to be particularly perplexed.
Unbeknownst to him, (y/n) possessed a unique quality that made her impervious to his mind-reading ability. It was as if her thoughts were veiled in a shroud of secrecy, hidden from his probing senses. This anomaly intrigued and frustrated Edward simultaneously, stirring emotions he hadn't experienced in a long time.
He had grown accustomed to effortlessly delving into the thoughts of those around him, deciphering their fears, hopes, and secrets. Yet here was (y/n), a enigmatic enigma whose thoughts remained tantalizingly out of reach. This lack of access to her mind left him puzzled and eager to uncover her mysteries.
It was now time for history class at Forks High School, (y/n) found herself seated next to Jasper Hale. It was a surprise to her that he didn't seem affected by her scent, unlike the rest of his family. She could sense his calm and controlled demeanor, which was nice to come across especially when she’s been around hormonal students all day.
As the teacher assigned them to work together for the day's lesson, (y/n) and Jasper exchanged polite greetings. They began discussing the topic at hand, and to her surprise, she found that they had quite a bit in common. They shared a mutual interest in historical events and had similar perspectives on some key aspects of history.
As they delved into their assignment, their conversation flowed effortlessly. They exchanged thoughts and opinions, occasionally sharing anecdotes and insights that kept the discussion engaging. (y/n) noticed that Jasper had a deep understanding of human emotions, likely due to his unique ability to sense and manipulate them, not that she knew that.
As the class continued, (y/n) realized that Jasper's presence had a calming effect on her. His aura of tranquility seemed to resonate with her lioness shapeshifter instincts, creating a sense of comfort she hadn't expected to find in the presence of a vampire. She was intrigued by his ability to control and channel his emotions, wondering if it was something she could learn from him.
Throughout the class, (y/n) and Jasper discovered even more shared interests and viewpoints. They both had a penchant for analyzing historical events from multiple perspectives, and their discussion delved into various aspects of culture, society, and human nature. It was a refreshing experience for (y/n), who had often felt like an outsider due to her unique nature.
As the class session came to an end, (y/n) and Jasper exchanged smiles, acknowledging the unexpected connection they had formed. While their backgrounds and circumstances were vastly different, their shared interests had bridged the gap and created a bond of understanding. They both looked forward to future conversations, eager to explore their common ground further.
As the weeks went by, the tension between (y/n) and Edward seemed to grow. Edward's frustration with his inability to read her mind had turned into a resentment that extended to Bella as well. Bella's loyalty to Edward led her to share in his feelings towards (y/n), even though she didn't fully understand the source of their dislike.
Meanwhile, (y/n) and Jasper's friendship continued to flourish. They spent time discussing history, sharing stories, and learning from each other's unique perspectives. They also participated in passing notes to one another in class, jasper had shared his secret of being a vampire and she had shared hers of being a shapeshifter, though he wasn’t sure which kind yet.
Jasper had become one of the few vampires (y/n) felt truly comfortable around, partly due to his calm and understanding nature.
One day, Jasper extended an invitation to (y/n) for dinner at the Cullen house. He suggested that she bring her daughter along, as he was aware of her presence in (y/n)'s life. Intrigued by the offer and hoping for a chance to bridge the gap with the Cullens, (y/n) agreed.
On the appointed evening, (y/n) and her daughter arrived at the Cullen residence. She felt a mixture of nervousness and curiosity, unsure of how the rest of the family would react to her presence. She held her daughter's hand as they approached the front door, taking a deep breath to calm her own emotions.
Jasper greeted them with a warm smile and invited them inside. The Cullen family was present, and their initial reactions ranged from surprise to curiosity. Bella and Edward's expressions were guarded, while others seemed more open-minded.
As the dinner progressed, (y/n) and her daughter engaged in polite conversation with the Cullens. She was careful to maintain a respectful distance from Edward, sensing the animosity between them. However, she found herself enjoying conversations with Jasper, Carlisle, Esme, and even Rosalie, who was surprisingly welcoming.
All seemed to be going well, until it wasn’t.
During dinner, as (y/n) tried to engage in pleasant conversation with the Cullens, she noticed that Edward's behavior was taking a hostile turn. He began making belittling comments directed at her, seemingly determined to provoke a reaction. Despite feeling hurt by his words, (y/n) chose to ignore him, not wanting to escalate the situation.
However, Edward's snarky remarks continued throughout the meal, and it became clear that he was intentionally trying to upset her. Bella, seated next to Edward, appeared uncomfortable with his behavior but didn't intervene. (y/n) could sense the tension in the room, and she could see that even Jasper was growing increasingly irritated by Edward's conduct.
As the dinner progressed, (y/n) focused on maintaining her composure and not allowing Edward's comments to get to her. She continued to converse with the others, seeking solace in the more positive interactions she was having with the rest of the family. But Edward's continued taunts were like a persistent thorn, making it difficult for her to fully enjoy the evening.
Eventually, Jasper's patience reached its limit. Unable to tolerate Edward's behavior any longer, he spoke up, his voice laced with frustration. "Edward, that's enough. You're out of line," he warned, his tone firm.
Edward looked taken aback by Jasper's intervention, not expecting such a strong reaction from his usually calm and collected brother. Bella looked equally surprised by the turn of events, her attention now fully on the unfolding confrontation.
Jasper's gaze locked onto Edward's, his golden eyes filled with a stern resolve. "You need to watch yourself, Edward. This behavior isn't acceptable, especially in our home," he continued, his voice unwavering.
(y/n) watched the exchange, a mixture of relief and surprise washing over her. She had not expected Jasper to speak up on her behalf, but his actions sent a clear message that he was not going to tolerate any mistreatment of their guest.
“Thank you jasper,” (y/n) says before taking a glance at her daughter who was preoccupied with playing with Rosalie and Emmett’s hands, “But I was just going to continue ignoring him.”
“He has no right,” he muttered.
The atmosphere grew increasingly tense as Edward continued to make snide remarks during dinner. (y/n) could feel her own patience wearing thin, and it was clear that Jasper's restraint was also waning. Just as she thought the situation might escalate further, Edward muttered yet another offensive comment under his breath, the final straw that broke the camel's back.
Jasper's normally composed demeanor shifted dramatically, and his alter ego, the Major, emerged with an intensity that was impossible to ignore. In an instant, he was on his feet, his eyes darkened with a mix of anger and determination. He moved swiftly towards Edward, who looked both surprised and apprehensive as Jasper's presence commanded the room.
Without hesitation, Jasper's powerful punch landed squarely on Edward's jaw, sending him crashing back against the wall with a stunned expression. The force of the impact left Edward momentarily incapacitated, his usual arrogance replaced with shock.
However, the sudden altercation was far from over. Just as Jasper's punch landed, (y/n) felt a surge of fury and protection coursing through her veins. The sight of Edward being physical with jasper seemed to trigger something primal within her. In an instant, her lioness instincts took over, and her transformation into her lioness form was swift and decisive.
With a roar that echoed through the room, (y/n) lunged forward, her massive claws and jaws aimed at Edward. In a flash, her powerful grip closed around his leg, and with a single, swift motion, she ripped it off. The room was filled with a combination of shock and horror as the unexpected violence unfolded before their eyes.
Rosalie, ever alert to the well-being of (y/n)'s daughter, acted swiftly. She scooped up the young child in her arms and, together with Alice, quickly exited the room, shielding her from witnessing the gruesome scene that was unfolding.
The aftermath of the chaos was palpable. Edward's pained cries filled the room, and (y/n) was still in her lioness form, her eyes blazing with a mixture of anger and a wild, protective instinct. Jasper, his alter ego the Major receding, stood nearby, his expression a mix of concern and understanding.
Carlisle, Esme, and the rest of the Cullen family were left in shock, struggling to process the sudden violence that had erupted within their midst. The events had unfolded so rapidly that there was little time to react.
As the reality of what had transpired settled in, the room fell into an uneasy silence, broken only by the sound of Edward's labored breathing. The unexpected turn of events had left everyone shaken, and the fragile equilibrium of the room had been shattered.
With the threat to her daughter's well-being now removed, Rosalie focused on ensuring (y/n)’s child remained unaware of the chaos that had unfolded. She, along with Alice, would provide comfort and reassurance, sheltering her from the darker aspects of the situation.
In the aftermath of the incident, the Cullens were faced with a difficult choice: how to address the repercussions of the violence and the rift it had caused within their family. The once peaceful evening had transformed into a tumultuous display of emotions, leaving them all to grapple with the unexpected and its far-reaching consequences.
As the tension in the room slowly began to ebb, (y/n) felt the shift within herself and started to revert to her human form. The transformation was accompanied by a sensation of reorientation and a return to her human senses. She looked around, her eyes locking onto the concerned faces of the Cullen family.
Esme, with her innate warmth, stepped forward and offered (y/n) a set of clean clothes. Grateful for the gesture, (y/n) accepted the clothes and retreated to a more private corner of the room to change. The new attire felt refreshing against her skin, helping to soothe the lingering tension that still coursed through her veins.
Once she was dressed, (y/n) rejoined the Cullens, her composure steadier now that she was back in her human form. But it wasn't long before their attention was drawn to the faded bite marks on her arms and exposed legs. The telltale marks were evidence of her encounters with vampires, and the curiosity in the room was palpable.
“I would like to apologize for my behavior just now”, she says. “It wasn’t my intention to come into your home and start a fight.”
With a sigh, (y/n) met their gaze and knew she needed to explain.
“Oh my,” esme holds a hand to her mouth noticing the scars. “Your arms…”
"I've had my fair share of run-ins with vampires, some of them not the friendliest." She looked down at the faded bite marks, her tone a mixture of sadness and determination. "But the thing is, I'm immune to vampire bites."
The room fell silent as her words hung in the air, the Cullens processing the revelation. It was a rare trait, one that set her apart even further from the supernatural world she had become a part of.
Carlisle, ever the inquisitive and compassionate one, stepped forward. "That's quite a unique ability you have there, (y/n). Would you mind telling us more about how you discovered this immunity?"
(y/n) nodded, appreciating the genuine interest in his voice. "It was a gradual realization, really. I had a few encounters with vampires who tried to bite me, but the venom had no effect. After a while, I realized that I could resist their bites completely."
Esme's expression softened with empathy. "That must have been quite a shock to discover."
"It was," (y/n) agreed, her gaze distant as she recalled the past. "But it also gave me an advantage. It meant I could defend myself in ways others couldn't."
Jasper, who had remained quiet during the conversation, finally spoke up. "Your ability is indeed a remarkable one. It must have served you well."
(y/n) nodded, a faint smile tugging at her lips. "Yes, it has. But enough about me. I believe we have more pressing matters to address."
The Cullens exchanged glances, the events of the evening still fresh in their minds. As (y/n) steered the conversation toward the present, they realized that the chaos that had unfolded had implications that needed to be addressed. With the weight of the situation heavy in the air, they began to discuss their next steps and how to navigate the aftermath of the unexpected altercation.
In the midst of uncertainty, (y/n) found herself among a group of supernatural beings who were grappling with their own challenges and emotions. The bonds formed that evening were complex and layered, and the newfound understanding between them would shape the path they were destined to walk together.

A new AU of Miko I made for fun (I most likely won't expand on it sadly)
Tumblr media
Its called the Wallowing Spirit Au!
Its an AU where some drama happens back at the autobots base and results in Miko being temporarily banned (despite still being targeted by decepticons)
One day she's invited to a party a bit further away from Jasper, she calls the base and asks them to ground bridge her off and pick her up at a specific time. Just this once.
Bulkhead convinces them to allow him to drop her off, bith him and Wheeljack accompany her to the party and promise to pick he rup at the set time.
What they dont know is that a killer is around that area during the time the party starts. A news report comes on about the killer and the party ends an hour early, kids are picked up and Miko has to stay out in the middle of nowhere to call the base. Ratchet picks up the call and she asks him to pick her up early, she says that there was something dangerous, but Ratchet waves her off without hearing it and says that he would be there in 20 minutes.
But Miko was unknowingly targeted by the killer and is dragged back and hidden, the killer bashes her in the head, killing her instantly before she can protect herself.
The killer runs off, driving for Miles and dropping her body off in the woods and driving off.
Ratchet arrives almost half an hour late then when he was supposed to pick her up, and finds only her cellphone. He assumes she dropped it and would call Jack or Raf via another phone.
Meanwhile, Miko's body was unknowingly dropped off next to the bone remains of a predacon. Her spirit is visited by Primus and she's told its not her time. So he brings her back half cybertronian and human spirit. The predacon piece was changed and morphed to be her new face, becoming more cybertronian as time goes by. But it first starts as just a bone Mask.
She's brought back to life and stays hidden, afraid to see the bots like this. This happens while she's reported missing and possibly dead when the bots find out there was a killer in the area she was stranded in. Cue Ratchet feeling the worst guilt to ever exist. Worried she may have been kidnapped or killed.
So she becomes a spirit that slowly comes back to life fully, but gets less human and more cybertronian. Soon becoming a full cybertronian, the image above is her in the near beginning of the transformation.
(This is such a stupid au lol)

Transformers x FNAF crossover: TFP X FNAF movie, since animatronics stay on base, what would they do, like helping out or acting like some sort of security? also how was the autobots and the humans first react/found out about the animatronics, including Cupcake?
Let's start with the reactions first.
The animatronics in general can be mistaken for young Beastformers or Minicon adjacent from appearance alone. Considering they are young children, younger than Raf, who died and possessed these very suits or how William Afton tricked them into killing so many people... A very somber affair for the Autobots all around.
The Jasper Trio were immediately taken off guard at the sight of them. Freddy Fazbear is quite an infamous name around town when you consider what went down for it to close and what happens afterward. Jack was basically 'Fuck this shit, I'm out' as processing the fact that extraterrestrial robots exist been hard enough. Haunted animatronics is too much. Miko's first reaction is if they want to play any games. Raf acted similar to when he befriended Bumblebee.
As for what they do around base, the animatronics are mostly emotional support. They're kids whose childhood been ripped away so it is only fair that the group can act like ones. Quite therapeutic when you consider the bots are still at war and any distraction from it helps put them at ease. (Jasper Trio's presence has the same effect.)
Two animatronics do a bit more than the others to help out. Bonnie took an interest in Ratchet's medical work so he often acts like an assistant for him. The Cupcake is a snitch when it comes to Team Prime's health in general. Either ratting out Ratchet for not refueling as much or sneak into Optimus' room knowing he had a bad day.
Chica essentially haunts Cliffjumper(he's her buddy) and just like any spirit can follow him everywhere. Even on a Decepticon warship. Being small enough to crawl in vents makes sabotage easier. For Cupcake, they been hiding inside Cliffjumper's subspace.
When Starscream went for the kill, he didn't expect the small feisty critter to intercept by chomping at his faceplate. All the animatronics went through proper maintenance with some old parts replaced. That includes Cupcake's teeth as most were replaced for Scraplet fangs.
Perfect size for them so rip Starscream's faceplate after being viciously mauled. It was enough of a distraction for Cliffjumper to escape and hitch a ride out through their Groundbridge. Rumors about Cliffjumper having a strange pet Scraplet spread across the Decepticons like wildfire afterwards. Lol

Starling House review
Tumblr media
5/5 stars Recommended if you like: dark academia, sentient houses, curses, found family, street smart vs. fantasy smart
I was very excited when I saw people starting to post pics of this book that included footnotes and fun 'non-narrative' bits. I really liked Ship of Theseus and while this book is very different from that one, I think the footnotes and wikipedia article elements are kind of similar, which I liked. Another thing I liked is that, despite having footnotes adding onto the story, the story itself is very easy to comprehend and isn't dense or bogged down in details. I definitely sped through this one!
Opal is a fun character to read from because she's definitely been hit hard by life but is still determined to do right by her brother. She's a good balance of cynical and hopeful and I liked her sharp edges. Opal has definitely got street smarts, which go a long way in protecting her, but even with those she's still unable to resist the thrall of the Starling House. Imo, that house does her just as much good as she does it, and while Arthur does play somewhat of a role in her being happier and more put together, I think the house and feeling like she has a place she belongs is a big part of that as well.
Arthur was a harder character for me to get into the mind of. He's got his own dark past and is haunted by both the literal death of his parents as well as by the greater secrets and mysteries of Starling House. He's more remote than Opal is in his feelings, so I didn't feel as in tune with him, even toward the end of the book. Part of that might come from the fact that, while Opal feels everything despite being street savvy enough to hide it, whereas Arthur is a bit more emotionally closed-off and his studious nature doesn't really lend itself to opportunities that would open him up to others. That being said, I think I did like his character overall and he mirrors Opal quite well. Arthur's also actually quite funny at times.
Jasper, Opal's younger brother whom she has custody over, did frustrate me at times, but I also understand where he was coming from. In a town where nothing is free, even clean air, he has a hard time feeling like his sister taking care of him since their mother died is anything other than something he needs to pay back. At the same time, the love between Jasper and Opal comes through clearly and I absolutely love their relationship with one another and getting to see just how much they each love each other. It's hard to remember at times that Jasper is just 16, but then it shines through in moments of teenagehood, like when he doesn't want to come home from a friend's house.
Bev is the woman who runs the motel Opal and Jasper live in, and she's a bit of a trip. She has a harsh demeanor, but it's clear she cares for both of them and her love language is just insults, lol. Charlotte, the local librarian, is the opposite of Bev and is pretty cheery, though she's willing to go balls to the walls when needed.
One of the central themes in this book is family, and I loved seeing how family trauma played out differently for Arthur and Opal while also being so similar. Opal only ever knew her mother, and their little family unit bounced around from car to motel, never quite having a stable place to call home. Despite the challenges that came with a free-spirited mother, Opal clearly loved her parent and was devastated by her death, though she willingly fought to keep her brother. On the flip side, Arthur knew and loved both of his parents but clearly felt bogged down by the pressures that come with Starling House. When his parents died, he was also devastated but took up the mantle of responsibility with resentment. Both Opal's and Arthur's actions are primarily driven by their familial responsibilities, and it shows in vastly different ways.
Beyond that, I really liked how the family theme encompassed taking care of one another and how family isn't always the one you're born into. None of the characters in the book live as an island, no matter how much they might think otherwise, and I liked seeing how much they relied on each other and how selfless they could be when it came to one another. Found family is something the Starling House itself seems to call for, and you can definitely see how Bev, Charlotte, Jasper, and Opal make up their own little family, and how slowly Opal and Arthur begin including each other in that 'found family' circle.
Overall, I enjoyed this book and think it was a great read for the end of spooky season. I liked how it was dark academia without being too bogged down in itself and I really loved the characters and their relationships with one another!

Hello GORGEOUS! I hope you're having a wonderful week <3 I just wanted to drop into your ask box to say that most days I check onto tumblr, solely to see if you've updated Studious. Now, don't get me wrong, I am NOT one of those "omgeee just hurry up and update" people, I am NOT saying thisto rush or annoy you or whatever - rather, I literally just want you to know how much I love you work!! Often it's literally the only reason I check tumblr! Your writing is so wonderful, I'm so in love with that fic and whenever you update - be it in a week or a decade lol - I'll be stoked <3 Love your writing so much and I hope you're having a GLORIOUS week! xoxo
I am having the most wonderful week because today, I was offered a job! And not just any job, but a well-paying job at a company I like that's actually related to my degrees!
I start next Monday, so in between shopping to build my professional wardrobe, I'm going to try and write as much as I can!
So, in the spirit of celebration, here's a small sneak peek! Just a little snippet from Aemond's diary (3 days before The Second Fucking). Hopefully this will be last one until I actually publish!
Studious IV Sneak Peek
The 23rd day in the 5th moon of the year
Were Aegon not my brother, and the heir, I would throw him from the top of the Rookery.
‘A Caution for Young Girls’ is no such thing. It is little more than a manual in promiscuity and sin!
But… damn him. It is quite educational.
Unlike the book Grand Maester Orwyle suggested, it is not focused on the science of anatomy or conception. Rather, it is entirely concerned with the pleasure of women. After all, it is the supposedly true story of a woman’s quest for pleasure.
A Wylde woman, if it is to be believed. I may have to ask Lord Jasper about it. Is this why he’s had such success with his own wives?
But that, and indeed the sinful nature of the book itself, is unimportant. What is important is that it may actually be the key to my learning how to pleasure my wife.
Oh, and thank you for your amazingly kind words!

Your OCs see an obviously quite intoxicated Esme walking home from the bar in one high heel, a small group of drunk, leering men following her, who she is obviously just trying to ignore so they'll leave her alone. What do they do?
Thank you!! I really do love these sort of "put them in the Situations" asks lol
Rae: Walks up to Esme and offers to walk her home, or at least to get her a cab, while keeping an eye on the guys behind her. Her hands are shimmering a little, with her anticipation of a fight, and she hopes Esme doesn't notice.
Robin: Also offers to walk with Esme, though she's awfully tense - Esme can barely stand, and Robin's trying to keep her upright while also keeping an eye behind her since she can't hear the men of they try to sneak up... Eventually she just ends up calling Peter and having him zip over to walk with them
Madison: Camouflages herself, then appears in front of the guys with her knives in her hands. It's not the most tactful approach, but definitely enough to scare them off.
Ophelia: Walks up to Esme as if greeting an old friend, which is enough for the drunks to lose interest - she's close to six feet tall and looks like she could shot-put those guys into New Jersey with one hand, they're not coming within ten feet if they can help it.
Jasper: If they're walking with Kyle, they'll both walk over to try and help Esme. But if Jasper's on their own... they need to leave this one alone. Drunkenness reflects through their empathic sense, for one thing, and they're not the most intimidating person to scare off the men anyway (they're only 5'3" and don't look like much of a fighter). They feel bad for leaving her, but they'd only cause more trouble for both of them
Kestrel: Shifts into a form that's a bit more "scary dog" than their usual 5'1" elfish figure, and walks up to Esme to help her down the street.
Katherine: Mumbles a quick prayer to Sekhmet - both for holding off the men and for dealing with the very drunk Esme - and walks up to Esme to try and offer her a cab or a chance to crash at her apartment a few blocks ahead. The drunk guys seem to lose interest, though it's not quite clear whether that was the arrival of a second person or some sort of godly interference...
Quinn: Debates on what to do for a while - she wants to help since she'd hate to see Esme get attacked, but she's not sure she'd seem like much rescue if she tried. For one thing, they do look like a bit of a crook themself (probably because they are), and while she's plenty intimidating enough to have scary dog privilege there's still the matter of her crutches. She ends up finding a shadowy spot up ahead and waiting for Esme to pass so she can take care of the drunks herself.
Eris: Let's just hope they're feeling generous enough to give the drunks a warning before they bust out a weapon and cause some havoc.
Nikoletta: Jumps through the shadows, always at the corner of the drunk guys' vision like some kind of wraith, until they're so completely convinced they're being followed by a vengeful spirit that they turn and run the opposite direction. Then she vanishes - that's her quota of helping people for the day, and she doesn't feel like dealing with wrangling Esme right now.

podcasts: wtyp on the francis scott key bridge collapse, and jim gordon must die podcast of all time
reading: i started reading 'bunny' by mona awad because it came up as a recommendation in libby when i was returning mdzs. i am going to be valiant and give it one more chapter but i do not like it. it feels like its trying very hard to emulate a certain type of vibe that i already don't find super appealing in fiction so the trying-vibe of it makes it even more uninteresting to me. the premise is a girl at a mfa program in nebulous New England Private Liberal Arts School(tm) which like, fine, dark academia or whatever; there are four (five?? i literally cannot remember which, lol) other girls in her cohort who are a weird clique and call each other 'bunny' and are rich and sheltered but harboring a Dark Secret Club. sure. the first few chapters ooze 'not like other girls'-ism, the 'bunny' characters themselves feel flat and like caricatures in an unappealing way, main character's other friend ava also is a caricature in a boring way, just very uninspiring. like i said i will give it another chapter or two but if it continues to bore me i will return it.
i finished the scum villain extras! very charming.
watching: keeping up to date with dunmeshi, yay, and also been continuing to watch endeavor with a friend. it's good! i love a mystery show! it is impossible to watch without subtitles though because they are So British. relatedly i am going to terf island for two weeks in june (london and then edinburgh) so if you know any recs for food, places, etc i am all ears!
playing: this weekend was going to be 3 dnd games in a row ... then monday was postponed to next monday ... but my sunday group, which is normally every other week, has decided to play next sunday as well bc we skipped a few weeks ... so Next weekend is the 3 day dnd combo lmfao. i don't mind too bad.
making: pottery!!! some bisque came out and i am soooo chuffed (<- endeaver tv show britishism rubbing off on me) this will be its own post with more images because i want to @ the inspiring artist, jbbartram-illu on tumblr (shop); i am obsessed with the cave painting mugs from a few months ago that immediately sold out so i was like fuck it i wanna make my own. and i am obsessed with my lil fat horses. i put amaco ancient jasper on the inside and just a matte clear on the outside. hopefully it is matte enough. i also put little hands on the handles and now i want to make some more cave painting mugs that are just the hands, i could cut out some templates to sponge underglaze around maybe...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
my beautiful cracked-the-code bowls and two maybe teacups, post-trimming:
Tumblr media
and also trying a new glaze technique: bisqued underglaze and then liquid latex over top! that way you can slather a background on and just peel it off after without painting around the details. im ngl peeling off the latex was soooo satisfying. background is laguna celadon froth.
Tumblr media
i've also glazed my citrus juicer, just a plain warm yellow color, looking forward to that :3
glaze: mother's day gift (planter, it's. fine. idk. she'll like it i hope), and also some fixed stuff! didn't bother taking pics, the black eye bowl from feb 6 tuesdaypost is now food safe on the inside because i sanded down the kiln medium bit that got stuck in there and re-glazed it. i also tried to fix the bowl from march 12 tuesdaypost by just lightly sanding the inside and slapping some laguna celadon froth over it...it looks exactly the same now, just with some sort of float-like blue splotches lol. no pictures of it but eh. might give it away, we'll see.
Tumblr media
eating: Spicy Clam Pasta With Bacon, Peas and Basil Recipe (NYT): tasty. idk about 'spicy' but definitely yummy.
misc: definitely in a weird spot brain-wise...the anxiety and tummyache link/feedback loop is very real for me now, so i am going back on an extremely low dose of ssri about it, and even though i have been on this med before in much larger amount i am still experiencing aaa about it. i keep going between "going back on this is a good idea" and "or i could just keep taking ~10mg of cbd every other day bc that felt like it was doing something, even if it was just placebo i had a noticeable difference in mood" so like. bluh. idk. i wish i could just Know what the best course of action is instead of having to fuck around and find out. such is life. i am literally taking the world's babiest dose rn (breaking the starter pill in half) so it will be fine. as long as i dont get bad side effects im willing to do a few weeks on it and see what happens.

Transformers Prime: Aliens
An alternative universe where things are close to canon, but the main differences come with the kids being aliens and different culture
Jack and Miko live on the planet Bellum
Jack
Jack is a southern Warbird, he mainly helps his clan "Jasper" by helping his mom tend to patients. He is well versed in basic medicine and wants to be a vet, he hates seeing discomfort of cattle animal especially.
He prefers to avoid the fun activity of brawling, but depending on his mood he will be fine with a good fight. Having few scars from battle because he prefers a more calm environment where he can read. He is brave and cautious, protective of those younger than him.
He finds himself drawn to Arcee's mysterious and stealy nature.
Miko
Miko is south eastern warbird, she has a strong hatred towards authority especially the falsecats. She was born into a very small nomadic clan, however when she was little for sake of her family they moved to the major city. She lived their most of her life until she joined a program which let her move to the Jasper clan.
She is rough and enjoys the harsh nature of clan life, she especially loves fighting for sport. Using it to release pent up rage and other emotions, so she wears quite a few scars.
She was drawn to Bulkhead because of his free spirit and wreckee style!
Rafael
Raf was born on the planet Vecna (NOT THE GAME LOL, my made up planet) as a treelin magni oculus. He was raised on the outerskirts of a large city until he was emancipated at 10 years. During his time of living by himself with roommates, their tribe was attacked by decepticons. Raf is curious and naïve in nature, shy but wanting to see the best in others.
He struggles with adultification from his culture and likes to think of himself older than what he is. He speaks a very tribe specific onoma trill, the only one who seems to understand him is Bumblebee.
He is drawn to Bee due to his kindess and the fact he is able to understand him with others can't

January 24: Octavia, Bravery/Fear
Octavia-centric, ~830 words, written in about 30 minutes; cw for references to drug use
For the prompt "bravery and its antonyms (cowardice, timidity, fear, hesitation)" from my July Break Bingo 2023 card (though I sort of forgot about the prompt pretty fast lol)
In the same 'verse as Make a lot of Money and Feel Dead Inside, my Time Loop fic. It's not.. spoiler-y per se, but it might make more sense later.
*
It is not true that Octavia Blake ceased to feel fear at the age of fifteen.
She wanted that story in the last book. The woman, the myth, the legend. Bellamy told her that superheroes weren't relatable, and that all of her adventures would read as boring and slight, if she turned herself into some sort of perfect, fearless goddess. Oh, it would all be too easy then. No stakes, no drama, no reason to care. No one wants to read a book like that, he said.
And even then, maybe that phrasing was just to be polite. Maybe he didn't mean you can't look superhuman but more like you can't look inhuman. And it burned her up that he wasn't wrong. That image they want for the TV screen, girl next door but she climbs mountains for a living, that's not her and never has been. But it's the sort of thing that sells. The relatable thing.
How she'd like to be perceived is like something out of a tall tale, or the over-the-top adventures Bellamy used to tell her as bedtime stories. The characters weren't anything in those; the story was their accomplishments, stacked up against all the dangers they faced.
She can't be a superhero and she can't be too cocky and she can't lie about conquering the very concept of fright when she was just a kid because that self-myth, it sounds so good in her head, but if she spoke it out loud it would prove all too much. She should have been able to vanquish it then: the feeling of her heart pounding in her throat, the nauseous tightening in her stomach, the tickling unease. The dread. Because she'd felt it at its worst and then she'd crushed it in her hands. She'd—
She'd seen everything that she needed to see.
But instead she found the nightmares followed her for years. Maybe she'd come up too close to the monster's face and it had changed her, or maybe she was waiting for the aftermath, the vengeance. Maybe she was taking her cues from her big brother, who sulked around the house all quiet for a while and said that it was mourning. She'd watch his eyes twitch and that tic in his jaw that was always his tell. And it made something sick start to vibrate along her skin. Maybe, like Clarke said, it just takes a while for that stuff to wash over you, her way of saying, there's trauma, and you have to learn the patience to feel it out and through.
What did make it to the book is that she has no patience and never did. To overcome the fear she had to kill it herself. She pushed right up against everything that had ever scared her; she dared, not herself to endure, but the terrifying things to find her, to get her. Horror movie marathons on Friday nights. Sleepovers with Clarke when they took the old Ouija board out and called for spirits. All that other side of the veil shit, she'd always hated it, because it seemed like if it was true, it would be the worst fate of all. She practiced sneaking out of the house even with nowhere to go. She explored the edges of the swamp.
In college, she started hanging out with the two guys down the hall, and on the weekends, after dark, they'd leave campus and go exploring. They tore apart their mid-size university town as if the only things they really had to learn were all its secrets. Jasper was excellent at picking locks. When the security systems were electronic, Monty would fix them. For a while, her favorite sensations were rusting metal fencing cutting into her skin, and the satisfaction of finding purchase in the diamond cutouts with her feet. Sometimes they just sat outside in parking lots they shouldn't be in and smoked Monty's weed. Bellamy would have killed her if she'd gotten high in high school, which is sort of ironic when you really think about it, and at first it scared her, too. She wondered what it would be like, to be not quite herself.
"You'll feel great," Jasper told her, soft and warm, his breath an outtake of cold, misting air and smoke. When he handed her the joint and their fingers touched, it seemed more intimate than the time she'd gotten caught trying to climb one of the fences, and he’d had to shove her upwards with his hands on her ass.
She wanted to cut open her palm, let it bleed like an oath. She wanted to steal just to prove she could. She wanted to jump off a building just to show them all she'd land on her feet.
How had she defeated the worst monster there was, and fear still lingered, tightening up in her throat?
"You okay?" Monty asked her, then, and she swallowed down everything she still didn't know and said yes.

Hello 🐓! (Oh I love the nickname! You’ve got your own emoji!) I wanted to ask please, after reading your posts on spirits (actually a few of them), how to tell what spirits are in Western Missouri? What do you do if you think you may have one in your house but you’re not entirely sure? I have four cats and I keep hearing banging (only one or two) and after clearing out anything that the cats could have been doing it with from the living area, I’ve been in the adjacent room and heard it yet saw that the cats weren’t near something that could make it? Then today (last straw lol) I had something scrambled loudly on top of the fridge right by my head as I walked past and scared the bejeezus outta me. I looked behind me and Kaminari (a kitty) was looking on top of the fridge. Now, from the angle there’s a chance she had been up there and made it coming but if she was I dunno what in the ever loving f*** she did to make that noise and she sure flew pretty far coming off if so. Thank you in advance, I enjoy your content.
This sounds like it may be a job for rat traps.
However:
@jasper-pagan-witch any resources from you on MO spirits?
Generally if you want to know what sorts of regional spirits are around you, you want to start with folklore of that area. I'm not really sure how to go about this in a proper way as mostly I just run into things and describe them to a guy who knows everything, and he just tells me what they are.
It is my belief that most houses are actually filled with spirits. A vast majority of spirits don't tend to cause physical manifestations of knocking sounds or other problems.
If you think you may have a spirit in your house, try speaking towards it the next time it makes a nuisance of itself. Ask it to stop making loud sounds, because it bothers you and your cats.
Then again, if it is a spirit, it may get bored if it can't play with your cats.
Inasmuch as spirit problems go, I don't count loud or irritating sounds to be one of them. However, if the spirit doesn't respond to your requests and there is no change in the pattern of events, I would be less inclined to think there is a spirit at hand.

First of all: Hail her Majesty, the Queen. Bow your unworthy heads before Her Greatness.
Second: Gimme.
🍄🧸📚🍦☁️ aaaand (as the resident balance positivity shit person) 🪐
First of all: LOL no, please do not, I would be a horrible ruler, hectic but bitchy to an flawless awesome extent.
Ahem.
Moving on to the topic at hand:
🍄- share a head canon for one of your favourite ships or pairings
You are asking the world and then some with this one because I have been so out of touch with all of them. Who do I turn to? Are they even in the state I have left them in? All good questions and valid ones.
I will go with something entirely different, a paring of friends.
Victoria has been lately hanging out at a bar waiting for someone or something to happen. I don't know where her head is, but I know I see Angela traveling in order to meet with her in an unnamed bar, in a small village. I think they would be friends that would drop everything to go see each other when the moment requires it.
We all need those sort of friends that would pick up our spirits in moments of darkness.
🧸- what's the fastest way to become your mutual?
None.
There isn't a recipe towards becoming my mutual. I might reach out, you might reach out, I might be inspired by you, you might be inspired by me.
I am not the easiest person to get along with and yet I am. Just that I am very strict in letting people get close to me. Simple. No drama. Bring your chaos in your writing or art and I will be there, bring shit in my personal bubble and you can fuck off. Oddly simple yet not many go that way.
📚- what's the last thing you wrote down in your notes app?
Good question:
Oddly enough it's not the worst thing, which you know since I once shared my latest notes. It's a title for something yet to come or materialize in my head: Last Heartstring.
🍦- name three good things about a character you hate
Hmm, mmmmm, offff.
Fanfiction wise, off the top of my head I would say Jasper from Late Night Enchantments. I hate the guy, I wrote him and he managed to weasel his way into more arcs and yet I still hate him. But now that I am typing out the answer and thinking back, Constantine Crane is the winner.
But this should be 3 good things so here you go for both of them:
Jasper: His entire revenge plot is actually out of love, as twisted as he appears to be there is actual good in him, he is a very complicated and complex character and while you love to hate him, you can't help but hate to love him.
Constantine: He is incredibly smart, when he sets his mind on something he strives to complete it and no, I'm sorry but I can't think of any other redeeming thing for him apart that he makes a fucking good vilan.
☁️- what made you choose your username?
It's a play on play from the show Lucifer. At one point there was either an episode called "What would Lucifer do." or the main character said and i really liked it.
The name Valery is just something that came to be, so I became Valery.
WhatWouldValeryDo? she would write.
🪐- name three good things going on in your life right now
I am planning a holiday with the moms to Belgium for May.
I wrote a chapter last night.
My best friend in getting married in September.

IM SO HAPPY YOU’RE DOING THE TWLIGHT REWRITE I LITERALLY JUST REREAD BOTH OF THE TWLIGHTS FICS 😭😭
☺️ Yay, I’m glad you like the other two enough to reread.
Honestly a rewrite has always weighed on my mind. This might be the last really long Twilight series unless I get a request that just ends up being a journey. But I wanted to fix so much of what I (and probably everyone else) thinks is wrong with Twilight. So canon is out the window lol. Also I’m changing Bella to Y/N cause people voted but this is still a rewrite so no Bella cause you are them.
Spoiler Alert but here are my ideas (I’m saying Bella for now instead of y/n):
- Edward isn’t so much of a dick in the Twilight book
- Not every boy is in love with Bella, they are actually just friends
- Jacob is actually a real friend and not a plot device. And Bells already knows some of the other Quileute boys she’s just not close with them yet.
- Bella doesn’t just go dress shopping with Jess and Ange to go to the bookstore, she actually wants to support them getting good dresses
- Bella is actually terrified when she realizes Edward is a vampire and gets more freaked out when he says he likes her. At first she’s only dating him because she wants to stay alive but then she starts to fall in love with him
- Rosalie is cool with Bella because Bella doesn’t want to become a vampire. Edward and the others expect her too so Rosalie is a big Bella defender because she wants to keep her human
- No weird interaction between Jacob and Edward at the prom. Jake helps Bella cause that’s his friend, Edward swoops in to finish cause he’s the boyfriend but they aren’t already heated with each other when Jake is still human
Onto New Moon
- It’s not a paper cut that sends Jasper into a frenzy but some bigger blood
- She gets lost in the woods until Sam finds her but she’s not just on the forest floor laying there
- No hallucination Edward!
- Jake visits her during her Great Depression Era and he actually brings her Forks friends and some of the future wolf pack
- when Bella is working on getting out of her depression, they’re all supportive. She gets the motorcycles as a thank you gift for Jake and also because she wants to learn as a distraction
- Jake’s mom dies and that’s what turns him. Laurent and Victoria in the area turns Embry and Seth. While Leah turns from Harry’s death
- wolves don’t cut their hair. It’s not as big a deal in Quileute history from what I researched but the still have long hair and sometimes view it spiritually. I would imagine being literal spirit warriors that are wolves would be one of those occasions so no hair cuts unless in mourning and when the cut their hair the wolf looks sickly cause fur is gone.
- when Bella finally confronts Jake there will be angst/comfort
- she puts two and two together and goes to Emily’s house to bring up the werewolf instead of the altercation with Paul cause why are we slapping people that haven’t actually done or said anything to you?
- imprinting doesn’t happen right away for wolves but usually when their imprint is in danger
- Actually showing that imprinting isn’t just romantic because wtf Stephenie Meyer? Sure the Sam Leah Emily pain fest will still happen but Quil has a girlfriend he very much plans on marrying so Claire being his imprint is very big brother. And one of the others might imprint on a Cullen to also show it isn’t romantic, not sure
- Bella and Jake fall in love. Jake imprints when she says she has to go to Italy. He doesn’t tell her and lets her go
- Volturi thing happens
- Bella is in shambles because she has to become a vampire but doesn’t want to and loves Jacob
- Edward proposes
Eclipse time!
- Bella has been avoiding Jake and he gives his imprint space until he finally has to show up to Forks high school cause of the Victoria Emmett and the wolves scene that happens
- Bella finally tells Jake what’s going on
- this is where Bella is kind of morally grey cause she does have a relationship with Jacob that’s behind everyone’s back at first
- Rosalie is still a Bella defender and basically knocks the sense into Edward and the rest of the family
- The newborn army means the Volturi do show up and because Bella is still human they install a deadline to when they will return which means she has to become a vampire
- They get to keep Bree instead of the baby dying!
- Bella’s Great Depression #2
- It’s understood that she and Edward have to put on a whole act that they are together so when Aro sees his thoughts/memories or other people’s thoughts/memories he only sees a happy couple. Bella gets to actually be with Jake since her thoughts are safe.
- Vampires can definitely have kids it’s just really rare because the body can be so incompatible. I’m thinking that maybe it’s hard for a woman’s body to accommodate the fetus since they are literal diamonds and don’t really grow or move so there is no room. And for men, the venom that mixes with their other fluids changes the properties of them. So sperm is basically destroyed by venom and isn’t potent at all (idk I think this makes more sense than it being venom because shouldn’t Bella have turned if it was pure venom?)
-Rosalie and Emmett have been trying but to no luck sometimes on Rosalie’s end and sometimes on Emmett’s end
Welcome to Breaking Dawn!
- A fake wedding and a real honeymoon
- The Vampire Baby will definitely kill Bella if taken out early and only might kill Bella if delivered. Done. No pro-life vs pro-choice debate.
- Rosalie kinda turns on Jake cause she’s always wanted a baby and now Bella has one and she needs to stay a part of the family
- of course Jake’s absolutely pissed thoughts alert the pack
- I’m gonna keep the rest a surprise
BUT feel free to leave suggestions or ideas you want to see and who you want to be Endgame!
I’m slowly going to answer the asks sitting in my inbox. Sorry I got so behind on that y’all.

Twilight Advent ‘22
Day 5 (12.5.22) - “What's one thing Esme loves about each member of her family?”
I think Edward will always be the closest thing Esme will ever have to a son (even though in the beginning I think their cover was that they were siblings ... if I’m remembering correctly). I think she’ll always see him as such. She probably loves his whole ... idk, sensitivity. I honestly don’t think Edward is very sensitive and more brooding teenager. But I think Esme tends to overlook that and simply sees Edward for all the potential he could have had and tries to bring that out in him in a motherly, nurturing way.
I firmly believe Esme and Rosalie have a unique relationship (see my Day One post) and I think Esme really admires Rosalie. Rosalie is also much more fiery and independent than Esme was/is and I think Esme really admires that. Rosalie doesn’t just sit there and “take it.” When Rosalie has a differing opinion, she’ll tell you; whether you like it or not. Which, honestly, I think Esme feels like as the “mother” of the group she also has to be the peacemaker and can’t really take sides (even though she definitely does - a la NM and the whole “Breaking Dawn” plot). But I really think that Esme loves Rosalie’s personality and the fact that she’ll stand up for her beliefs and do what’s best for her family. Something, I feel like, Esme tries to do but feels a little restricted by her role of “matriarch.”
I mean, who doesn’t love Emmett? I’ll bet you even sourpuss Marcus likes him. Where Edward will always be Esme’s “son”, I think Emmett will always be Esme’s fun-loving, free-spirited “little brother.” I think Emmett simply has a peace and an unencumbered-ness (is that a word?) to him that naturally draws people to him and Esme’s no exception. Whenever she needs a laugh or just a distraction, she goes to Emmett. A headcanon I have for them is whenever there’s too much tension in the house, or there’s yet another traumatic event in the news, she and Emmett go for a pointless drive. They blast music and sing at the top of their lungs at like four in the morning. All Esme has to do is casually ask Emmett, “Hey ... you wanna go for a drive?” and they’re off.
Alice is honestly such a mystery to me, lol. I feel like, for at least awhile, Esme didn’t really know how to relate to Alice or Jasper. Because they were both independent of the Cullens for a few years and it’s not like Jasper ever really needs a “hug from mom” - or Alice for that matter. I feel like, while Esme both loves them dearly, it did take a little while for her to warm up to the two of them. I mean, hell, you’ve got these two people who randomly show up at your house and they’re like, “I’m taking Edward’s room, ok byeeeee.” I feel like Esme was just kinda like “What the hell???” for a while. But anyway, I think now she loves Alice’s quirkiness and her frivolity. I feel like these two have lots of inside jokes that, literally, no one else gets (not even Edward ... or at least doesn’t get a lot of them) and all they have to do is look at each other and they smile and then start laughing.
Again, I’m not sure how these two relate to each other (again, griping bc SM gave Jasper zero personality). I think she really respects Jasper’s determination to adhere to the “vegetarian” lifestyle, if only for Alice. As per my Day Two post, I think they both really enjoy board games and spend long stretches of time playing Risk or making up new rules for monopoly, or something like that. I think that Esme tries really hard to not smother Jasper; but also still shows she loves and appreciates him. So quality time is her way of showing love to Jasper (if you wanna use language in terms of “The 5 Love Languages”).
I think Bella will always be “my (adopted) son’s beloved” to Esme. I’m honestly not really sure how these two relate to each other because they’re just really different. I know SM paints Bella as an “old soul” but also ... I can’t see it. Esme is literally from a different century and I just can’t see Bella understanding what it was like to live in a time without electricity, or have a husband who’d physically abuse you, or just things along those lines. I think they both enjoy books and probably have a book club kinda thing. But Bella just seems to be so wrapped up in Edward I can’t image her doing something with anyone else lol. That being said, I do believe they both try to find things to do together, if only for Edward’s sake.
I’m not doing Renesmee bc I like to pretend she doesn’t exist. Whoops.
