(Even though he looked like a mummy. And later a ninja.)

BW’s Morning Article Link: The Story Of WCW’s Yeti Back when professional wrestling wasn't afraid to use comic book style storylines (or comic book movies for that matter) and World Championship Wrestling was still in existence before Eric Bischoff got a little crazy and challenged the WWE, there was a stable of dark monster gimmicks known as the Dungeon Of Doom.

Giant Super Ninja and Sonny Onoo [January 10th, 1996]

I’m amazed that this promo photo even exists. Few wrestlers had a weirder career than that of Ron Reis, who was known by several names during his tenure in WCW. Among them were The Yeti, Ron Studd, Reese, and this one, Giant Super Ninja. Following Halloween Havoc where The Yeti had his big moment, Reis’ character’s ring gear changed drastically to appear as a masked ninja. The character, however, only made three more appearances: in the 60-man battle royal at World War 3, a match against Barry Houston, and a match against One Man Gang on Saturday Night, where the character was renamed Giant Super Ninja. This was the first time the character was referred to under that name, and the last time he would appear in that gimmick.
