Eddie x reader
Credit to @waitlalice who helped and came up with majority of these ideas, I loved it so much and I had so much fun writing and talking about this I’m not kidding it was amazing😭
Light tw: hair dye, Wayne thinks Eddie’s injured with the red hair dye, reader had blue hair, reader and Eddie get married?
When you were younger your parents moved to the trailer park, you hated moving so much but after they’d moved to the trailer park it was your favorite thing in the world.
You’d met Eddie Munson there and you were certain from the day you’d met him that you were soulmates whether that be platonic or romantic. You were also only seven so you disregarded it as you got a bit older because, what did a seven year old know.
Apparently a little more than a thirteen year old. At thirteen year old, Eddie decided to dye his hair red, maybe because it complemented the temporary blue dye in your own hair but he practically ruined Wayne’s sink.
When Eddie called out into the living room stained red hands touching the white door trim Wayne was horrified he’d thought Eddie was injured, he was even more so horrified to see the stained sink.
“What have you done son?” Coming out as he stares down the drain.
“Dad I need help with it” Eddie’s practically got tears in his eyes and Wayne can tell he’s getting frustrated.
“I don’t know what to do son…call that y/n kid…ain’t they got dyed hair? Blue or something?” Eddie lets out a little smile he hadn’t thought about you yet!
So he runs over to your house with a Walmart bag wrapped over his hair the ladies on the porch laughing wildly at his appearance even more so when you stand on your porch two hours later waving off a red headed Eddie.
Some years after the dye faded you two find yourselves near the porch of the ladies chasing the neighborhood cat with a bag of treats. He’d ran under her trailer and as you two crouch to help him out you hear the ladies speaking, “I swear that munson boy and y/n kid, they’re gonna get together one of these days” the others cackle and you both fluster but ignore it.
At 16 you hear them chatter about how they aren’t so surprised you’re together and won’t be surprised if you marry before 25 either.
And now at almost 23 Eddie finds himself sat with Wayne and the ladies as he writes his vows, you’d said yes and Eddie felt like he was on cloud nine.
“Now son You know damn well you can’t read that with your hand writing” Wayne gently erases handing the items back to Eddie to write again.

In the AMA, the devs announced that Lesson 81 onwards will be released in Nightbringer. Og OM will continue to be updated with events but not with the main story. Dunno how I feel about this 💀
I play tons of otome games that have finished their main story and continue to update it years later, so maybe og OM is safe. Plus it's making a ton of money so-
It seems that the devs had always planned to release Nightbringer. The Ruri Tunes thing is a feature in Nightbringer, so when they released that beta testing, they were seeing how their fanbase was reacting to the rhythm game in preparation for Nightbringer. The release of Mephisto, Raph and Thirteen was also preparation for Nightbringer since they play a big role in it from what we can see in the trailer.
If I remember correctly, the devs were planning on ending og OM at Lesson 20, but they gained so much attention and made so much money that they made the rest of the lessons. Whereabout during that time they decided on creating Nightbringer is unknown, but they definitely had it planned for a very long time. Hell, a few weeks after announcing it, they started the count down till its release 💀
Y'know, since Lesson 81+ will be in Nightbringer, the devs can't actually shut down og OM. That would lead to too many plotholes and half the story missing. I have a couple speculations as to why they made a second game, so here they are:
1. Profit. A sequel game to their biggest money-making game is sure to bring in twice as much profit if the same fanbase starts playing the second game as well. OM currently has 10M players I think, so you can imagine how much money they make.
2. Size. OM was going to end at Lesson 20 (that's why there's that whole dramatic credit scene lmao) so it was never designed to get this big. 80 lessons is a lot of damn data uploaded onto the game, so a second game was created likely because they are planning on releasing a similar amount of content that would have caused issues if loaded on the original game. Too much data can cause bugs and errors and crashing. Too many of these issues and the player count would lessen. To keep the player count rising, the second game was required to ensure the first game doesn't have many errors apart from the usual few that happen every 2 events or so.
3. Advertising/hype. A new game in the already loved Obey Me series would mean that more collaboration opportunities for Nightbringer would open. This means money. Lots of money. So the hype that Nightbringer brings is one of the many benefits for the company.
Okay, I'm done rambling. I don't know why I even rambled like this lmao. Maybe this clarifies some stuff for some people? Idk 😭😭 I'll see you guys in Nightbringer then!

Hey there. Do you think, we didn't get to see much of Shiro in the trailer because his interactions and screentime would give to much away and are far to important to reveal at the trailer? Please, be it like that. I miss my space dad 😭😭😭😭
head’s up gang. I’m only vague talking but SPOILERS FOR THE TRAILER AHEAD!!! Kinda. There wasn’t much trailer and I don’t actually talk about any specific details of it but still, if you’re avoiding the trailer, don’t read on beyond zebra okay? No pictures included so you can safety scroll past without seeing anything.
All right, onward. First off, hey there to you too! Thanks for the ask! I’ll be honest with you. I am really having a hard time feeling the least bit of interest in the upcoming season and most of what I do feel is dread. I’ll be watching it when it drops - because I’ve got a con the day after and I’d rather not be spoiled via word of mouth so I’m just going to binge it. But I’m not excited and I’m not feeling positive about it. Cynical side says they didn’t show a lot of Shiro because he’s really not going to be in it much - buuut the fair side of me has to point out that nobody was in the trailer very much because it was only roughly twenty seconds of new stuff. And the fair side of me also has to point out that the trailer sucked so it seems less of a ‘don’t give away any big reveals’ (which eleven or thirteen or however many upcoming episodes we’ve got should provide more than enough new material to not have to worry about that over) and more a ‘we’re out of time, slap something together with some pretty pictures in it, make sure everyone gets at least one shot and rehash the single ‘get to your lions’ line from the previous trailer con and call it a day’. Example of a ‘hide a big reveal’ in previous seasons: In season two’s trailer they deliberately left out shots of Shiro to build on our fear that he was going to die early in the season. Like - literally did pan shots that included the entire team and then cut the pan just before it showed him. That was a ‘hide the important reveal’. The quick, unrelated cuts we got in this current trailer? That just seems sloppy or intentionally disjointed over deliberately misleading or concealing intent. Shiro’s voice over seemed very deliberately chosen to include him as well to me so I”m pretty sure its just last minute cut together results over anything intentional.
That said -
if I was busting down ALL my cynicism and going whole hog optimist without a single concern about getting my hopes up to be let down - in my ideal world, Shiro winds up back in Black early on in the season in a deliberate studio redo and they can’t show much beyond the first few episodes because he’s in his lion every time the lions are shown or interact. I’m not to that point with my faith in the show or the writers. But damn, I would - well, I wouldn’t take back everything I’ve said about season seven because it all still stands as true but I would sure throw the biggest party on this blog ever seen if my highest optimism turned out to be true. I’m trying not to harsh anyone’s hype because I know some people are really thrilled about the upcoming season so I’m toning down on broadcasting my own feelings. People deserve to be happy where they can find their happy. So take my opinion as only an opinion. I have no faith in the writers at this point at all. I cannot think of a better reveal or a happier conclusion than Shiro being back in his lion and those are definitely things I would not want a trailer spoiling if I was putting one together to promote an upcoming and final season. Take whichever of those suits you best for the next two weeks. Because at this point, everything’s up in the air and anything’s possible.
